Chapter 4- The Wizengamot
"Focus Daphne." Dorea had his wand trained on the girl. She felt bad for the poor girl. She had pushed the girl back into her memory palace and had been pushing her on to relearning her lost memory. Daphne was her daughter in law. A perfect lady for her family. A wonderful woman who she had come to love these few months that she had arrived here. A perfect match for her son. She was never as happy as she was now. Harry might be her grandson, but she didn't let it worry. He is her son now. She accepted that and Harry too had begun to let it sink in.
What pained her was the way Harry would look at the girl. She was his fianceè, the girl he loved and was to marry fairly soon back in his timeline yet he could not say it out loud. He was so worried about her. Instead he was worried about the way she would react when she learnt of the truth.
As his mother, how could she bear to see him with this much pain? Due to that she decided to help heal Daphne as much as possible. She was an extremely exceptional Legilimens and she decided that she would have to find a solution to this problem.
"Daphne. You can do it dear." She encouraged the girl when she started to shake uncontrollably. Whatever it was, her mind was being blocked by something strong.
Daphne opened her eyes as she gasped suddenly. She looked around and calmed down when she saw Dorea.
"Are you all right?" Daphne nodded, still breathing in and out heavily.
"Where is Harry?" Daphne asked as he was here when she started this process.
"It's evening, Dear. You have been going round and round in your mind for a long time." Dorea explained.
"His grandmother had to come down and drag him away. He skipped both breakfast and lunch." Daphne smiled softly. She loved it when he spent time with her. Her feelings felt more raw now when she recalled the memory she had just retrieved with great difficulty.
Dorea couldn't help but smile at the girl. Daphne herself was deeply in love with Harry too. Then again how could she not be? She spent most of her time with him. She was a bit possessive of him. Magic works in very different ways. Yes, she didn't remember that the two were engaged. But her mind was making an effort while her heart had already accepted him for a second time.
She remembered the time when she did show how possessive she was.
FLASHBACK—-
"What is Narcissa Black thinking?" Daphne asked Dorea. Dorea and Euphemia were surprised when Daphne suddenly interrupted their conversation. Daphne was an extremely polite woman. She never interrupted people when they spoke, unless it was absolutely necessary. She was not watching them. Her eyes were on Harry and the letter he was reading. The two older women smiled mischievously.
"Ahh…my niece. A very sweet girl. She would make a wonderful match for my Harry." Dorea gushed. Daphne was shocked that she would suggest something like that.
"But she is still a small girl." Daphne blurted out. "She is very young." She elaborated when the two women stared at her.
Euphemia shook her head. "Nonsense. She is seventeen years old. An adult and a very intelligent girl. She would do very well as the lady of this family." She pointed out.
"But…but…." Daphne tried but didn't find anything to say.
"You seem to have something to say?"Dorea asked?
Daphne wanted to.
'I like Harry.' Her mind screamed. She wanted to say it out aloud, but she remained quiet.
"Nothing. But are you sure? Does Harry's opinion not matter?" She tried desperately pulling at the last strings available to her.
"Harry doesn't know the first thing about girls dear. He is just like my Fleamont and Charlus in that matter. Dense." Euphemia smiled softly.
"But…Harry…uhh!" Daphne stood up and left the table in a huff, her fists clenched tightly as she tried to control her anger.
Euphemia and Dorea took a moment before the two dissolved into a fit of laughter. The two women grinned at the mission they successfully accomplished.
"Did you have to do that?" Harry questioned the women and judging by the small smile, he had seen them trouble Daphne.
"You two are devious." Harry shook his head as he chuckled.
"Poor girl. I wonder if she is going to burn down that training room?" Dorea laughed once more.
"Your fianceè is an easy girl to rile up, Harry." Euphemia said.
"I know." He muttered, his eyes shining in amusement.
"But you may not be far off the mark." He said solemnly and handed the letter that Narcissa sent to him.
"Narcissa is very much interested in me. It is clear as daylight. And to be frank, she is an interesting character." Harry hummed.
"I might be biased with the previous Narcissa I knew and comparing her to the one over here, but I had come to like and respect Narcissa very much. Daphne too. I don't like where this is going. They seem to be competing and something tells me that I have to be very careful when the two meet face to face." Harry grimaced.
"I would pay to see that." Dorea whispered to her mother-in-law.
FLASHBACK ENDS—-
Dorea though had a few thoughts of her own. Daphne was a very sweet girl. But Narcissa was just as wonderful. She knew that the two women would fight over him. Narcissa won't back down. That isn't in the nature of the Black family women. And Daphne doesn't seem like a person who would let Harry go. She is engaged to him.
She hatched a wonderful plan that would help all of them. She would have the three of them settle down with each other. Yes. Narcissa will be the perfect Lady Potter and Daphne would make the perfect Lady Black. She might not have been his birth mother, but she was as good as. And like every mother, she would like to see only the best for her son.

Harry didn't want to do this, but he had no choice. He hated the Wizengamot with a passion. It was a place that gave him headaches. He was no politician. He was more of a fighter, but with Lordships came responsibility. And hell would freeze before he ignored his responsibility, especially his responsibility to his family.
"Are you ready?" Charlus questioned and Harry nodded.
"The session has already begun. It's time to make an entrance. Do it with style." Harry nodded. He walked to the courtroom behind his father and uncle and took a deep breath.
The gathered aurors in front of the door as security detail stopped the men.
"The session is already in place Mr…" The lead auror pointed out dismissively, his eyes not leaving the newspaper. The other two were literally dozing on their seats.
"Potter Black. Harry James Potter Black." The aurors jumped to their feets, their eyes wide and mouths open. They quelled under the harsh glare of the visibly powerful Lord Potter.
"If this is the style of security that you provide the Lord and Ladies of the Wizengamot, I dread to think about the people of our World." Harry growled.
"Your superior?" Harry inquired coolly.
"Al…Alastor Moody." came the stuttered reply.
"I meant the Department Head. Not the Head of your wing." Harry muttered irritably.
"B…Barty Crouch." Harry nodded and moved to the door. The Auror hastily gave him entry into the chamber. His father and uncle had left to the visitors gallery and he would be entering the governing body.
The noise and cacophony went down at once. Every eye was on the tall man with green eyes clad in black. Harry stared back confidently at the gathered assembly.
"Sorry. Had better things to do." He stated blandly and moved to his seat. The Lords and Ladies were affronted. Who did this young man think he was?
"Young man." Harry stopped in his tracks. He met the eyes of Albus Dumbledore.
"Yes, old man. What can I do for you?" The blatant disrespect of the young man shocked the Lords and Ladies.
Harry raised an eyebrow at Dumbledore who stared at Harry. Harry however didn't budge, not giving an inch.
"I am sorry Lord Potter Black." Dumbledore finally said after a few minutes.
Harry hummed in response before moving and saying. "I am not."
He smirked and walked to his seat. He tapped the Potter and Black seats and they joined together as one. He sat down.
"As they say, respect and apologies are earned. I earned mine. I will let you know when you earn yours." Harry leaned back in his seat. The proceedings began once more.
Harry sat down and listened to them go on and on about stupid issues.
"Are you people done?" Harry interrupted causing the Courtroom to go silent.
"No wonder Diagon Alley was attacked by masked idiots trying to wreak havoc." Harry muttered dryly.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" A man with blonde hair straightened till his shoulders, a permanent sneer etched on his face said. This man was Abraxus Malfoy.
Harry hummed. "Let me put it this way. What was the issue we were discussing for the past three hours?" He questioned.
"We were trying to make sure that we are bringing laws to help reduce muggle influence and to make sure that we maintain our traditions intact." Abraxas drawled out condescendingly.
Harry nodded. "The second part of your ambition is one that is truly wonderful. I wonder what is the purpose of the first part? Muggle influence?" Harry chuckled.
"If you had donated an hour to think about the attack on Diagon Alley, we would have done something productive." Harry answered.
"An attack in broad daylight in one of the most populated and important centers in Wizarding Britain and you sit down and worry about muggle influence although that is not an issue of importance. What does it say, Malfoy?" Abraxus glared at Harry.
"Lord…" Abraxas made to correct.
"Yeah, I don't think so." Harry shook his head as he interrupted the blond lord.
"Your forefathers might have let you throw around and piss money on those corrupt officials that have given you the status, but from me, you need to do better than that, Malfoy. Remember your place. Remember who you are speaking to. Remember that your line will disappear from existence if I take ten minutes to think about your stupid line." Harry smirked.
Abraxas Malfoy sat down, red in his face, the humiliation being too much to handle.
The courtroom erupted in snorts and laughs, and Malfoy gripped his cane hard.
"He is stalling. He and his entire faction are fucking stalling the wizengamot from going forward and you idiots are sitting down and enjoying all this hippogriff crap."
The elderly lords winced at the blunt accusation, though nobody made a move to discredit him.
"I am here to solve problems and if this body doesn't take decisions, then I will." He stood up.
"All the allies of House Black and House Potter are void. The House of Potter and Black will declare its position as neutral in this body and will decide matters as such."
"I invite the esteemed Lords and Ladies to the Summer Ball that will be held in the Potter Summer House and the invitations will be sent very soon. I am expecting to form my allies and I would expect you all to be in attendance. At least the ones who I am expecting to." He stood up.
"I don't like this place. I hate you lot who are trying to waste your own time and mine as well. Do something productive at the least." He walked to the center of the Hall.
"Governance, allies, standings, prestige. These thoughts must never exist when you are sitting in an august body, and sitting to better the world. It must always be for the betterment of many others before us. There is a reason why our families are placed on a pedestal. We make or break our society. I personally am thinking of making it. The rest is up to you."
His voice suddenly turned colder and his eyes began glowing eerily.
"That being said, I am a very selfish person when it comes to my family. Anybody who thinks that can take on me, can mess with my family. I dare them to. I will make their life a living hell in that there are no questions asked nor any answers needed. You touch my family, I destroy you." He explained. His eyes fell on a few of the men that he knew supported Voldemort. He noticed them glare at him.
"I have a scary reputation. I tend to keep up my word. Test me." He challenged and walked towards the exit.
"Another day in the office." He muttered, winking at his father on the way back on a job well done.

Daphne was about to sit down to dinner when Harry entered the dining hall. She quickly got up and rushed to him.
Harry hugged the girl and smiled into her shoulder. He didn't understand what had happened to her. He knew that her mind was trying very hard to get answers and he knew that she was making headway.
"Hey." He whispered. "Where have you been?" She asked.
"Did you forget? I had to attend the Wizengamot." Daphne nodded, as she remembered it very clearly.
She was present when Harry along with Mr Potter and Mr Black had sat down and planned what to do. She was about to reply, but when she saw his expression, she narrowed her eyes.
"What did you do?" Harry shrugged, an innocent expression on his face. "I really have no idea what you are talking about." He faced his mother.
"You spent an awful amount of time in her head. Are you absolutely sure that she is fine? Not gone bonkers or anything?"
Daphne huffed in annoyance. She started slapping his shoulder. Harry chuckled when she gave up seeing that it had absolutely no effect over him.
"Have you eaten anything?" He asked. She shook her head. "I was about to."
Harry bumped her forehead. "Silly girl. Come." He led her to the dinner table and sat down and pulled her in the seat next to him.
"Come on. Start eating." He whispered once Tippy had finished with the serving.
Daphne smiled softly, but her mind was doing a jig of its own. The reason being the memory that she retrieved.
MEMORY—
The two of them sat at their normal places near the Black Lake. Daphne had become extremely close to Harry. She was seen around him most of the time and the cold Harry Potter would listen to her, speak to her and to the shock of the others, laughed around her.
Daphne was the envy of many other girls that wanted to snag Harry. But they knew better than to do something. They were aware of her abilities with a wand.
Harry for some reason appeared to be nervous. "Is anything the matter, Harry?"
"I don't think so." He whispered. She stared at the boy. Something was eating him inside. She would like to think that she was a good reader of Harry in particular. The reason is simple. Harry was not the same boy that everyone knew before. A naive, awkward and scrawny boy with no knowledge of the outside.
The Harry that she is seeing now is anything but that. She was probably the only person who could get to him and that was after trying for days. To be honest, she had her own motives. She wanted Harry in a different way. She wanted him as something more than friends. She wanted to date him. To be around him as his girlfriend. To fall in love with him.
She was scared. She didn't want to jeopardize her relationship with him. No. That was more important to her than these other feelings.
She was deep in thought and Harry gathered her attention.
"I don't know how to play around, Greengrass." He muttered. "I like you, Greengrass. And I am hoping to develop something more from this."
"We have a Hogsmeade Weekend coming up. Will you accompany me? As in more than friends?"
Daphne was stunned. Whatever it was, this is not how she imagined to be asked out. Leave it to Harry to make this boring and straightforward.
'Bint! Are you complaining?' Her mind was quick to chastise her. Of course not. It was Harry.
"I know what you are wondering. I don't think I did a very good job of asking you out, but I really don't know how. I would have done something different, but I am having trouble thinking of different ways." He frowned.
"Maybe this was a mistake…."
Daphne was quick to reply. "Harry." He looked back towards the girl. "So," She began.
"The Ice Prince Harry Potter, wants to take me out on a date?" Harry nodded. She stared at the boy. "Like a real boy and girl date?" Harry hummed. "I would love that." She smiled softly. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Were you afraid of my rejection, Harry?" Daphne teased Harry. He shook his head.
"It's not like that." His eyes dimmed and his expression turned somber. "I am a loner, Greengrass. I have none left in this world for me. You can count it on one of my hands and still have fingers left. I don't know how you had me open up to you, but you did."
Daphne snorted, a very unladylike gesture. "Yeah. And you haven't even moved past calling me Greengrass and you say you have opened up." Harry glared at the girl.
"I value whatever we have here, Greengrass. I would not let something like the concept of courting come in between this nice relationship we share." Daphne knew he was speaking from the bottom of his heart.
"Meet me at the front gates at 11, will you?" She nodded casually and Harry stood up, a small smile on his face. She and him parted ways. She waited till she was out of sight and shrieked
softly , happiness evident on her face as she did a small jig.
What she didn't know was that Harry had returned to pick up his book and he was watching the girl with amusement. She turned around in her celebrations and stopped when she saw him watching her. Her pale skin turned bright red as she realized that he had been watching her.
Harry raised an eyebrow in question and Daphne shook her head very quickly, before rushing away from the spot.
—-&&&-
She made sure that she was perfect. She checked her robes and brushed her hair once more, putting her best efforts to look as good as possible. She had forgone any kind of makeup. She didn't need it. She, contrary to the other witches, never applied make-up. She had no need for them.
"You seem to be ready for some event?" Daphne groaned. "Go away Astoria." The younger blonde smiled as she bounced up to her. She watched the older girl getting ready and suddenly, she squealed.
"I knew it. You have a date." She expressed happily and smiled wider when Daphne blushed.
"I was right." She cheered. "Who is it?" Daphne shook her head. "I am not telling you that." Astoria pouted at her sister. "But why?" She whined. "You have to tell me. I am your sister."
Daphne shook her head. "Nope. I won't tell you anything." She turned around and left her room.
She quickly made her way to the gate. She could feel the eyes of a number of boys on her. It was not new. She was used to people leering at her.
Every single talk stopped when Harry Potter walked up to the girl. He smiled softly as the girl and bent down and kissed her cheek. Gasps of surprise and shock could be heard as many witnessed Harry Potter kissing Greengrass.
"Ready?" He whispered. Daphne who was still frozen in shock. Harry chuckled and held out his arm. She shook her head before entailing her arm with his.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked. She was still staring at him with her mouth open. Harry shook his head and closed her mouth gently with his fingers.
"Why are you shocked? I am human too, you know." Harry said as they began walking towards Honeydukes.
Daphne nodded. "Sorry… uh….it's just that, you are very different from what we see every other day." Harry sighed softly.
"Come." He held out his hand and pulled her along once she had taken hold of his hand.
Harry led her to the last place she had expected. "Harry?" Her voice was kind of nervous.
"Why are we going to the shrieking shack?" Harry was slow to his reply. "To talk."
When she entered the shack, still nervous about the new place she was about to go into.
Harry waved his hand and Daphne's shock was palpable when the whole dingy and smelly room suddenly was hit with a wave of magic. She watched in fascination when the room became bright and glowed. The entire room changed drastically. Gone was the smelly old place. Now, the room was clean and fresh, highly decorated and extremely comfortable. A lovely fireplace burned lightly and warmed the room enough. It was furnished completely with a bookshelf to the side of the room. A working table to sit and work on. Few couches and a large picture in the background.
Harry smiled as he walked upto the picture and brushed it gently with his hand. Daphne had identified the people in the picture. The Potter family. The resemblance with the two Potter males was uncanny. Charlus Potter and James Potter were the spitting image of each other.
She then gazed at the two women in the picture. One was a slightly older lady with very beautiful features, steel gray eyes and a gentle smile as she held a small bundle in her arms.
The woman next to her was a very beautiful woman as well. Flaming red hair. A pair of brilliant green eyes shining with intelligence, her hair contrasting beautifully with her pale skin. Lily Potter.
She watched the woman's eyes with great interest. Harry really did get his mother's eyes.
"They are my entire world." He muttered.
"Every time I see them, I feel so unlucky. A very powerful and dignified Grandfather. Stern but doting Grandmother. A mischievous father and an exasperated but loving mother. And I don't even remember them." He whispered sadly.
"The only memories I have are a few Diaries they had left behind and a few photos that Hagrid gave me all those years back."
"They died because of what, a madman's silly idea to take on the world. And I lost everything in the process. Now that I have avenged them, I feel empty. Nothing left for me. Nothing I feel like doing. I have been pushing on."
Harry smiled and retrieved a small tableside picture. It was a photo of Harry with a baby. The baby giggled and his eyes turned from brown to startling greens. The resemblance between the baby and Harry was so alike. Harry laughed at Daphne's expression.
"I know what you are thinking. And no. He is not my son, but he is as good as." Harry's smile was infectious and Daphne found herself smiling at his enthusiasm. "That is my godson. Teddy Lupin." Daphne frowned. "Professor Lupin…"
Harry nodded. "Yes. His son." Harry smiled at the picture.
"He, Andromeda and Narcissa are all that I have left in this world." Harry whispered.
"Narcissa Malfoy?" She asked, shocked at his answer. Harry nodded. "She is a godsend for me." He explained. "She kept me afloat and kept me in my senses. When the war was over, I was not in the right state of mind. It was very difficult for me." He explained.
"Everyone I know left me. Andromeda tried hard. Very hard, but she couldn't bring me out of this problem." He took a deep breath. "I had never imagined in my wildest dreams that Narcissa would be the one that would help me. She was my rock. She promised that she would drag me out of this darkness kicking and screaming if she had to. And I don't know why, but I believed her." Harry spoke with a fondness she had never witnessed before.
"You seem to be very fond of her?" Daphne questioned. Harry sighed.
"I won't lie to you. I will be truthful to you and you deserve to know." She was already fearing the answer. "She lied to save me from the Dark Lord. Lied to his face." Harry continued.
"I thought that it was only to save her son, but I was wrong. Very wrong." He muttered.
"Imagine my surprise when Narcissa arrived at my place. She sat me down and we talked. We continued to talk well into the day. She talked to me. She was extremely different from the cold and aloof woman that I had come to know." He whispered. His eyes scrunched up in fury.
"We continued seeing each other everyday. She would just come and sit down with me. Listen to every word I say. She would hold me and comfort me. She would let me sleep on her lap, slowly rocking me to sleep. She continued to be there for me."
"One day, she came to me. She smiled at me just like she always did, but I noticed that her smile didn't reach her eyes. They were red and puffy. I knew something was wrong. She tried to protest, but once I cast a revealing charm, I noticed that her cheek was swollen. I instantly put two and two together. Apparently Lucius Malfoy didn't like his wife mixing with myself. And he made his anger show on her face." Harry seethed.
"I had become extremely protective of her and seeing her that way was not very easy for me. I would have killed that fucker if not for her." He raged.
"It was then that I decided to make upto her. I immediately canceled her marriage in my capacity as the Lord Black and when I was done with that, Malfoy and his son were destitute and literally living on the streets." He smirked.
"Narcissa turned to me for comfort. I insisted that she move into the Potter Manor and she started living with me." Here, his tone turned a bit ashamed.
"She came to my bedroom one night. She longed for my presence and I had no heart to turn her away. The past came crashing down on us and in a moment of weakness, we fell prey to the dire need of intimacy. We had sex." He admitted.
"I, who was yearning for some affection of any kind and she who wanted someone comforting to help her through her divorced marriage and we found each other. We grabbed it with both hands. It was intense. It was comforting. It was affectionate." Harry sighed, remembering that night.
"The next morning, we were slightly ashamed of failing to keep a hold on ourselves, but we didn't regret it. We never regretted it. We yearned for more and we got more. She loved it. I loved it. We wanted more. We wanted it every day."
Daphne was listening to every word with attention. She didn't make a sound.
"We sat down to talk about this after a few days. We assured each other we had no regrets. Narcissa was still a bit guilty about using her cousin to satiate her lust. But I was sure as hell not complaining." He turned to Daphne.
"You have to admit that Narcissa is an extremely beautiful woman. And I had no qualms. She suggested an answer though. She told me to look for a wonderful girl to lead my life with. I was actually hurt. I was hurt that she would leave me. But no. She just wanted me to settle down properly in life and even though she was equally attracted to me, she was too old to be in a relationship with me in the common sense." He said.
"But she didn't want to leave me though. She suggested a different sort of relationship for the two of us." Daphne knew what he was talking about.
"She is your mistress, isn't she?" Harry nodded.
"I didn't know how to tell this to you. I found everything I was looking for in you. That is the reason I asked you out, but I couldn't keep this under wraps. You want to know the truth. That is your right and you deserved it." He turned back to the silent girl.
"I have come clean. It is upto you to decide what you want to do."
Daphne rushed forward and pressed her lips against Harry's. Harry's eyes widened in shock and he was still for a moment before reciprocating her actions. The two let go and Daphne blushed slightly.
"I want this, Harry. I don't care what your relationship with Narcissa is, but I want us. You have accepted her as your mistress. That is fine and I am glad that you decided to be truthful to me." She whispered.
"But I would love to give myself a chance. Give us a chance." Harry smiled at the girl.
"But I need an assurance…."
Harry hushed the girl. "I know. I and Narcissa have agreed to it wholeheartedly. If this goes forward, my preference will be and always be you. Yes, Narcissa and I are closer and I will always care for her, but you will take my attention first." Daphne smiled.
"I do find Narcissa Malfoy very beautiful." Her coy expression was not one that Harry expected and he was taken by surprise. "Maybe in the future, I won't be averse to a few steamy acts."
Harry's jaw dropped to his chest and Daphne couldn't hold back her laughter. This was not the kind of Harry she had seen and this Harry was something that she would love to see a lot to come.
MEMORY ENDS—-
Daphne chuckled to herself as she played with her dish. Harry raised an eyebrow.
"What is it?" He asked. She could just shake her head and smile at the boy.
"How did the session go today?" Harry grinned mischievously. "It was brilliant. I had fun." Daphne knew that expression. She didn't know why that expression meant trouble, but she knew instantly.
"What did you do?" She narrowed her eyes, but Harry couldn't stop grinning like a loon. "I don't know what you are talking about." Daphne glared at Harry and that continued to amuse the boy to no ends.
"Now now…" Charlus interrupted the girl and the boy's staring match, though he was stopping himself from laughing.
"Harry just put those irritating men in their right places. Bunch of pompous gits."
"Charlus!" Euphemia and Dorea were quick to put a stop to Charlus's mouth.
"That is not something you are speaking at the dinner table."
Harry still marveled at the fact that the two women could silence someone like his Grandfather who was a legendary and highly respected and equally feared man in the Wizarding World.
He chuckled as his father went silent, but Daphne's expression told him that this conversation was far from finished. He silently went back to his dinner, not wanting to draw the ire of the three women. Even the Master of Death had to have some limits and taking on three angry women was something he really didn't want to do.

Narcissa and Evelyn Greengrass slowly made their way to breakfast, avoiding the morning rush. They did have a free hour right after breakfast, but Narcissa wanted to get a few assignments done and she had insisted her friend join her for breakfast early.
"I hate you." Evelyn muttered, covering her yawn as she shot an annoyed look at her friend.
"Don't be so dramatic." Narcissa said as she rolled her eyes and navigated her way from the babble of the first years that were rushing around.
Narcissa noted the eyes of many boys on her. It was hard not to. A few could call themselves subtle but a large population of the boys in Hogwarts could not be called the same. She was shamelessly ogled by the Hogwarts male population, some with interest, some with want, some with lust. She paid no attention. She was used to it and she didn't pay any attention to it.
"Narcissa." She groaned mentally when she heard that smooth voice. A voice that sent jitters on her back and not in a very good way. She then came face to face with a face she really hated.
"Malfoy." She bit her lips, not wanting to sound too aggressive.
"I don't have time for this, Malfoy. I have work to do." The blonde haired man stepped close to her.
"When will I get my date, Narcissa? You seem dead set on avoiding me." He said a light sneer making its way to his face.
Narcissa didn't show emotion on her face. "Just leave, Malfoy." She entered the hall, stepping away from the young man.
She was stopped by a hand on her arm. She was shocked that he dared to put his hand on her.
She yanked her arm away.
"How dare you?"She hissed and stepped away.
"Have you no shame?" she said her eyes narrowed into slits.
"It will only be a matter of time before our contract will be finalized. You are making things difficult between us." he said with a shrug as if seeing nothing wrong with what he did.
She was about to reply when the Daily Prophet arrived, delivered by owls. She retrieved the paper from her owl and when she saw the front page, she smiled. She then looked Lucius in the eye.
"I dare you, Malfoy. Get an approval from one person whose decision matters the most and I am yours. You can do whatever you want to me and I will accept it. I will be yours." She could see the man's eyes light up.
"Who?" She just handed the newspaper to him.
Lucius caught the headlines.
THE LORD POTTER BLACK
"You can ask the Lord of my family and a man who is the Lord of the Potter family, who is interested in me. As I said, if he permits, I am yours. Try your level best." She left to have her breakfast, but stopped at the last moment.
"Oh and by the way, he is very protective of family. He took a cane and broke it over an idiot just because that somebody hurt a small girl in front of him. Imagine what he is going to do when he learns that you touched me without my permission." Her grin was wicked and she mentally danced in joy when she saw him step back, unnerved by her words.
"Goodbye, Lucius." Narcissa and her friend walked away leaving an angry and worried Malfoy heir in a conundrum.
