This chapter right here will definitely be something interesting, mainly because this is something I haven't done before. As for what it is, won't tell you but I have read dozens of stories over the years that have done it, so it'll be a first.
Huge shout out and thanks to Pyrojack as per usual, he is awesome and I'm super happy with how this one turned out. Hell, I'm surprised that this story has reached this far, and it's all thanks to him and all of your support.
I really am confident on how far this story will go, don't know how long, but at least I'll have a fun time doing it in the process.
Please be sure to fav or follow and if ever so nice and kindly review and let us know how you like the story, but remember, there's a difference between constructive criticism and being a flamer. Remember that.
Ok, enough talking from me, enjoy everyone!
As of the moment Destiny's Bar comes into view, we could see many scented candles and sitting in the middle with its legs crossed and arms outward we see the being in a mediation pose.
"Breath in...Breath out..."
The host breathes fluidly and with serenity, that nothing would disturb them. Well if not for one bored cat, who walks up to Destiny, jumping on to his lap, meowing as loudly as it could.
Meow
"You will not disturb my positive energy Mitty." Destiny said. "Not today. Also, Namaste." The being greeted the audience/readers. "As you can clearly see, I am maintaining balance and achieving inner peace. Or at least that's what I think it is."
The owner proceeds to stand up putting one leg on the right. Ignoring Mitty who was rubbing up against its leg. "Now, let us recount what transpired last time." With a deep inhale smoke spewed out and we could see clips of what happened in the last chapter.
"As sad as it is predictable, Stella is at it again."
We see the said older bird abusing younger Donner before it shifts to show him abusing him some more in her office slamming his head into her desk. "And our main protagonist has been enduring this for many years."
Meow
"Indeed Mitty it is unfortunate."
We then see the clips showing Octavia spending time with her bodyguard even putting a hand against his cheek something he enjoyed very much. "However, her spawn has shown him much kindness. But little do they know, other dark forces are at work. Which is where we will begin."
Meow
The recollection is done and we see Mitty literally hovering in the air next to Destiny. "Not right away Mitty, hence the old saying. The calm before the storm."
Destiny stands straight putting both hands together breathing in and exhaling. "Such as it is, when bad things are done, good things happen. Just like when good things happen so do bad things. It is one of the many ways the universe flows."
Meow
"I have not been smoking weed."
Meow
"Oh shush, I know you can't smell anything."
We focus onto the old tv at the bar behind them, zooming into the screen we see the title of the story.
Helluva Servant Chapter/Episode. 14
Miracle at Goetia Palace
Four days had passed since Donner got beaten by the mistress of the household. Naturally, Stolas was furious as was Merida. Octavia especially. She knew her mother couldn't stand her bodyguard but not to this serious degree. The young female owl demon was more pleased that she stood up to her and said 'no' more than ever.
Luckily it wasn't too serious, and Donner was able to see out of left eye better now.
Speaking of Donner, he was in Octavia's room. Right now there wasn't really much going on and since the bodyguard wasn't doing anything they decided to play a game.
A board game called "Extreme Random Questions" Where literally you are asked random questions and depending on how you play affects the game itself. Blue squares weren't too bad and average while red squares were 'excessive'.
The reason for that was because today the lord and mistress of the house had important things to do. As for what those things were, they didn't know, and they were bored trying to look for something to do.
Donner two dice onto the board game getting the numbers 5 and 2. "Seven." Donner moved his piece counting each space he moved. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Blue square."
Octavia drew a card and read it out loud. "You're at a restaurant and out of nowhere a pancake/flapjack is flung right into your face."
Donner shrugged his shoulders. "Depending on who threw it, I'd be mad, but at the same time, a free snack."
"Too bad now you have to skip a turn."
"Dammit." The male avian demon cursed, passing the dice to her.
"By the way, where is Merida? I haven't seen her since I woke up."
"She's evaluating potential new staff members."
"Oh yeah, that's right." Octavia proceeded to roll the dice getting a set of 1's. "Pff, 2. That's lousy." The owl girl commented, shaking her head in disappointment before moving those spaces and landed on a red space. "Oh boy."
Donner drew the card and facepalmed at this question. "Have you ever... had your cherry popped? Who the fuck writes this?" The thunderbird questioned.
Octavia frowned at this, not amused one bit. "How about no? I'm still a virgin. Do I look like one of those 'types' of demons?"
"No, you're pretty much the usual typical goth girl. Who's actually pretty cool once you get to know her." Donner said with a smile getting snicker out of her.
"Well at least someone gets me? Your turn." She pointed to him.
"You forgot already?" Donner pointed back. "My last roll made me lose a turn. So go ahead."
Octavia grabbed the dice and rolled again, getting two threes. She moved her piece. "One, two, three, four, five, and six. Landed on a blue square."
Donner drew it and read the contents. "Yes or no, would you take a blind taste test not knowing what's about to be served to you?"
"Maybe... I don't know." The princess shrugs. "As long as it's fresh meat, I might have a bite."
"And if it's not some ordinary piece of meat?" Donner raised an eyebrow laughing as she flipped him off. "You know you have to move back three spaces." She did just that. "My turn." He grabbed the dice and rolled them, getting a four and three. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Uh-oh, red space."
Octavia groaned as she drew the card reading its contents. "Have you ever went streaking?" Donner blushed a little bit in embarrassment when she noticed this. "Well?" She raised a teasing brow.
"I would rather call it nonintentional." Donner clarified. "My clothes caught on fire one time when I was flying and well...you pretty much figured out the rest."
"You did!" She laughed.
Donner rolled his eyes. "Ah ha! Ah ha, ha, ha. Whatever." He laughed sarcastically and gave her the dice. "Roll away."
She dropped the dice onto the board getting a two and three "One, two, three, four, five. Blue square."
Donner drew the card. "Have you ever sat next to anyone during an event and smelled something in particular and very foul?"
"Oh God." She cringed pinching her beak as she recalled a particular stench.
"Uh-oh." Donner knew this wasn't gonna be good. "That bad?"
"One of the butlers came in one day, while I brought one of my new taxidermies inside and I swear he smelt like a rotten fish dipped in horse shit."
"Eww...That's gross...what was it?"
"It was that thing." She pointed over to a three headed bird that had the heads of three different birds sewn onto it. "Yeah, that wasn't pleasant. By the way, can we stop playing this stupid thing? At first I was curious, but it's just getting weird."
"Technically that's the whole point of it. Why do you think it has the name 'Extreme Random questions. Dice me." She passed him the dice and he rolled. He got a 1 and 3. "One, two, three, four. Red square."
Octavia drew the card but when she did her face went red as a tomato. Curious Donner leaned over to see what the question was, his eyes bulging out.
We cut to an outside shot of the palace and saw the board game getting tossed out of the window. Both teen avian demons glanced at one another. "Ok, I think that's enough board games for a while. How about you?"
"Same." Octavia replied, sitting up against her bed. Trying to think innocent and happy thoughts.
"Sorry about that."
"No, it's my fault for agreeing to play. But whatever you do, don't bring that thing back in."
"Oh, you won't need to ask twice." He commented sitting down next to her. "Now I remember why I hid that monster."
As Octavia continued to try and think innocent thoughts, Donner glanced over to her. Something had been rolling through his head for a while. 'I wonder if now would be a good time to show her those tickets? I mean there are two for a reason.'
He was going to show her, but that same day he got his ass kicked by Stella so the whole idea of showing them to her would've been seemingly too convenient. Plus, he didn't want to try and take advantage of her kindness and try to guilt trip her during the moment. No, he wanted to at least show her and then get an answer, 'the proper way'. Little did he know as the days passed by; he was finding it getting tricky when he could mention them. Especially when it's just them by themselves without Stolas or the bitch around.
'Maybe I should...No wait for another time...No you idiot do it! But I don't want to make things awkward. Do it now you big idiot! Shut up!'
Octavia noticed his distraught thinking. "You, ok?"
Donner snapped out of it realizing he'd been caught. "Huh? Oh yeah, totally fine. Just peachy." He chuckled nervously. She wasn't buying and much to Donner's relief he felt his phone vibrate. Being thankful that it saved him out of a possible jam.
"Hold on..." He took it out and examined it. "Oh, I just got a text from Miguel."
"What's it say?"
"He's having a party tonight at Howling Moon, something about celebrating the place's seventh anniversary. He's inviting us to it." He glanced at the Royal he was assigned to protect. "So how about it?"
"It's been a while since I've seen him and Rocky." She nodded. "I'd also have to ask them about it." She referred to her parents. "But ultimately, heck yeah."
"Cool, also says here, there's also a requirement."
"Which is?"
"In his words..." Donner read out loud on his screen. "'Dress up to match with the flow of the wild party'. Been a while since I wore anything else besides this." He commented looking at his uniform.
"You really need to lay off the suit." Octavia admitted. "You oughta try something new."
"It's not my fault, usually whatever I wear gets stained or ripped from fighting." Donner shrugged in response. "Hell I don't even barely remember what I got in my closet...sometimes."
"Well it's as good a time as any to have a look." She walks out of the door to the library. "I'm going to get ready."
"Um...yeah...hey can I ask a favor?" He questioned sheepishly.
The owl girl turned her head around, curious to what he had to say.
"Ok, I'm gonna be honest. When it comes to picking my own clothing and what to wear. I suck. Like bad, because I'm so used to wearing my uniform."
"So, you basically want my help on picking something out?"
"Basically yes." Donner admitted shrugging his shoulders. "Wouldn't want to look disappointing if I'm 'escorting' a princess to a party that has nothing to do with royalty whatsoever."
At first, she looks at him oddly. Surely, he had to be tugging on her feathers. But seeing the look in his eyes Octavia couldn't help but sigh as the thunderbird was being serious.
"Alright, c'mon." She told him. "Just don't ask me to play dress up."
"I'm not one of those kinds, you know that." Donner replied as she pulled him out of her room.
"Uh-huh."
"I'm freaking serious."
We now cut to Donner room where Octavia had just laid out some clothes on his bed and hiding behind his closet door with her turned around he emerged with some that he picked out. "Ok, is this too much?"
He was wearing a bandanna, with a black shirt, black pants and had a yellow coat with black stripes hanging over his shoulders.
"Alright." He went back behind the door while she turned around. "You rarely ever get to go out to parties, don't you?"
"Whenever mum isn't dressing me up like a doll, no." Octavia shook her head. "Besides this is just not a good style."
"This coming from a goth."
"At least goths have their own style." Octavia retorted back.
"Touche." Donner admitted putting on some clothes. "But c'mon you're still a teenager-no wait, scratch that. We're still teenagers, you'd think that she'd at least loosen the reins a bit."
She scoffed. "Yeah, you'd think she would...fuck no."
Donner emerged again. "How about this one?" Donner was now wearing a checkered pattern black jacket, with a white shirt underneath the front resembled that of a skull, with the eyes nose, and multiple lines resembling a mouth, topped off with a pair of fingerless gloves and pants that had a few openings with a jolly roger on the right leg. "I sort of do like this one actually."
"Mmm. If you're trying to rip me off maybe." She teased.
"What?" Donner waved her off. "Nah, you're one of a kind. Why would I want to do that for?"
"Try something else."
"Fine..." Donner groaned and they repeated the process again. "By the way you know that Ferne is starting to have contractions, right?"
"She is?" Octavia looks up to where he is in surprise.
"Yeah, you know what that means."
"Oh. My. God!" She exclaimed, hooting in excitement.
"Yeah, I know." Donner felt the same way.
"Did they say what it was gonna be?"
"No, they decided to go with the old-fashioned surprise rather than find out the gender."
"We've got to stop by Sloth when we have the time." The owl girl beamed. "I wanna see if it's a girl."
"Well, I'm betting that it's gonna be a boy." Donner said as he stepped out for the third time.
Donner was now wearing a black shirt that had string laced sleeves exposing his forearms, including gray pants with a red piece of cloth hanging from his left side. "Please tell me we have a winner here."
"It's close." She nodded. "But I think it's missing something."
"Which is?" Donner questioned as Octavia began sorting through what she brought out.
"Something with a little color."
She draped a jacket over his shoulders, it was a dark shade of blue with a few hinges of light red with a flying cross on the back of it. "What do you think?"
"Not too bad." Donner admitted. "Well, I think I'm sold on this. What about you? What do you got?"
"Uh-uh, you asked me to help you. I won't have no trouble picking out something to wear." She then cleared her throat. "Now, with that being done, I request breakfast being made."
Donner smirked before hunching down intimating a fictional character. "Yeeees mistress...Would you like your coffee alongside with that?"
She laughed rolling her eyes playing along. "Yeah, be sure to do that Igor. But put your regular clothes back on."
"At once mistress." Donner nodded before in a few swift seconds he was back in his uniform surprising Octavia at how fast that went.
"What? When did-?"
"I've had practice." He smirked.
Minutes later go by and we see Donner pouring Octavia her cup of coffee. "Here's ze coffee madam." Donner said in a French accent.
"Merci, monsieur." She smiled in French.
Octavia took a sip and sighed in content. "Thank you for a refreshing morning."
"My pleasure, also since they're not here, I can have breakfast like a normal person." He grabs a box of cereal and pours him a bowl. "Ah, the joys of not having someone breathing down your neck."
"Tell me about it." She nodded, taking another sip.
"But I wouldn't get to use to it." Octavia said as she was eating a croissant.
"I know, that's why I'm enjoying it." Donner rebuked.
At the same time, we see Stu and Loretta enter the room. They came with a box full of donuts.
Donner raised an eyebrow at this. "Aren't you two supposed to be working?"
"Aren't you? We're hungry, sue us. Plus, we actually get to enjoy breakfast." Stu countered.
Loretta opened the box and immediately when Donner saw the sweet contents inside, he stared intensely at the sweets. A bit of drool started to leak a bit from his beak. Octavia choked to hold back some laughter. She always found it funny whenever he was around sweets, donuts being a prime example. Seeing this Loretta gave him a couple.
"Here you go."
"Hey! Those are mine!" Stu exclaimed looking to his sister.
"Not anymore they aren't." Donner said with a mouthful.
"Damnit, Donner!" Stu glared at him, trying to swipe the box back. The two started a funny little trivial tug of war. "Hey there's plenty to go around. You never share."
"And this is one of those reasons!" The bald imp with a broken horn retorted. "The fact that there's any donuts left is a miracle itself, no thanks to you!"
"I can't help it they're so good~!"
"Quit hogging them, you oompa loompa!"
"That's rich, calling me an oompa loompa!"
"Ok, come on, knock it off already." Octavia said, putting a hand underneath her chin. "My parents are gone, so I would at least like to enjoy the peace and quiet for a bit."
Right then and there the doorbell was heard ringing making everyone glance over to the hallway upon the echo being made. Donner used this opportunity to snag some more donuts.
"I'll get it!" He happily volunteered, eating the sweets along the way happily.
"Hey!" The male twin hollard.
Donner snickered as he downed the treats cleaning his fingers and used a handkerchief to wipe his mouth to make himself look presentable. Clearing his throat he answered the door. "Hello, may I help-Whoa!" He was entrapped into a hug and felt a very familiar soft sensation.
He found himself to be embraced into one of Ferne's signature hugs putting his face right in her large chest. He blinked in surprise to see the female bat demon give him a loving smile. "L-Lady Ferne?"
"Donner~! How are you?" She wiggles happily in her embrace. Much to the green bird's discomfort.
"I-I'm fine." Donner struggled as he wiggled out of her hold. "What are you even doing here?"
"I just wanted to see you and Octavia." She replied, still bearing the same smile. "Is that so wrong?"
"N-No, but are you sure you're ok to be here?" Donner questioned motioning to her pregnant belly. "Considering the state you are in?"
"Oh, that?" Fearne giggled. "That's just the baby kicking."
"You sure?"
"Mmhmm." She nodded.
"You gonna let me in now?"
"Oh, yes, yes. Do come in." She entered and he closed the door behind her taking her coat in the process hanging it on a rack. "W-We just started having breakfast. Would you care to join us?"
"Of course. Especially knowing that bitch isn't around is another reason I came." Ferne exclaimed happily.
"Speaking of which, how are you doing?" The matriarch inquired.
"I've been feeling a little better." Donner smiled as he led her down the halls of the palace.
"Ah well that's good to hear." She said before they entered the room.
"Hey Octavia, look who it is." Donner called out getting her, and the twins' attention.
"Ferne?" Octavia gasped.
"Lady Ferne." The twins were equally surprised to see the pregnant woman. So much so, they ignore what they both said simultaneously.
"Oh, come on, you know I just prefer Ferne." The large bosomed pregnant bat encouraged. "Octavia, sweety, nice to see you again."
"Same with you." Octavia said before getting enveloped into one of her hugs. Immediately the memories of what transpired in the hot springs when she stayed over at their home resurfaced. 'Fuck I forgot how huge these things were!'
"Oh~ you look so cute I could die!" Fearne beamed.
Stu and Loretta both bowed in respect. Seeing this Ferne giggled letting go of Octavia. "Oh, don't be like that come here~" Ferne ensnared the two imps into a hug. Naturally they were both surprised by this sudden form of greeting. But neither of them argued with it, in fact they were enjoying it.
Not just from the softness of her large chest, but the feeling of a mother's natural love. Something they rarely had since there's had long since passed on. 'Why couldn't we've been lucky enough to work under her instead of that bitch?' Both twins questioned mentally.
...v...v…
Ferne sighed, satisfied with the meal she had just gotten. "Thank you very much for that. I haven't eaten all morning."
"No problem." Octavia said as the twins started washing the dishes to get them out of the way. "I heard from Donner just now that you started having contractions."
The imps perked up overhearing this. "Ah, yes. The little one is due to come anytime." Ferne said, rubbing her stomach.
"So, where's Bruns?" Donner questioned out of curiosity. "I figured he'd be with you."
"At first he was, but he needed to get Lesslie and Morganna enrolled into a future school. Took a while to chip him down, to convince that I would be fine and here I am."
"You sure that's a good idea?" Loretta asked, concerned for the taller woman's wellbeing.
"I appreciate your concern Lory, but I'm fine." Ferne replied she'd already come up with a nickname for the female imp. Heck, she was ecstatic to have one especially from someone as kind as her.
"Lucky..." Stu muttered bitterly because he didn't get one.
"Aww, don't be like that, Stewie." She moaned as she leaned down and smiled at the broken horned imp. He smiled happily knowing he wasn't left out. "So, what's new with you two?" Ferne questioned. "Anything exciting?"
"Well, I've got a chance to meet up with my girlfriend a while back." Stu, dreamily, stated. "She really is patient with me."
"Surprisingly shocking." Loretta commented.
"Oh, I'm happy to hear that." Ferne smiled. "How long have you been dating?"
"About almost three years in a couple of months."
"Have you ever thought about proposing to her?" The noblewoman asked, curiously.
Stu stuttered for a moment. "U-Uh no. I haven't actually. I mean, her folks have been asking, but just really don't think it's the right time."
"Well, just keep in mind not to delay that forever." Ferne said, glancing over to Loretta next. "I take it that you don't have anyone do you?"
"No, I haven't really been interested." Loretta shrugged.
"Well, I'm sure it'll happen to you." Ferne turned over to Octavia. "So how's about yourself, little star fire? I take it you've been doing, ok?"
"Yeah, I have." She nodded. "I just got this new model for my taxidermy collection yesterday."
"Ooh, those weird things you're into. What is it this time?"
"It looks like some of the humans, but maybe a bit uglier than that." She pulled out her phone and showed Ferne the photo. "Have a look."
"Huh, interesting. odd but interesting. What about you Donner?"
"Actually, I got a text from Miguel saying he's having a party at his shop. He invited me and Octavia to come."
"Oh, that sounds like fun!" The pregnant woman beamed. "Can I come along?"
"Uh..." Donner exchanged a look with Octavia.
"I don't think it'd be a good idea at all, Ferne. It's the kind of party that'll have loud music, bright lights and other things. Good things I hope." Octavia chimed in.
"Yeah, it wouldn't be good for the baby." Donner added hoping that'd be enough to convince her.
Ferne pouted a bit with her cheeks. "Ah, you two aren't no fun! So, will you be going with him Via?"
"If my parents will allow it." She shrugged in response. "It'd be nice to have a little fun without any stuck ups."
"I'll say, any longer and I fear I'll rip someone's throat out." Suddenly she beamed about it. "That actually sounds tasty right now."
"She's kidding right?" Octavia whispered over to Donner. "Right?"
"No, she's not." Donner answered.
Octavia's eyes widened a bit hearing this realization. This beautiful, fun-loving, big breasted woman she might've been was still a deadly dangerous demon. Much like the rest of the residents of Hell itself.
"I'll see if I can find a transfusion pack in the infirmary." Loretta bolted out of the kitchen.
At the same time, they heard whistling and looked over to see it was Arnold whose eyes widened upon seeing Ferne. "Oh...I didn't know we had company."
"Morning Arnold." Donner greeted the hornless imp. "Did you work overnight or something?"
"Yeah, yeah that's right."
"You remember Ferne right? She's Bruns' wife." Donner motioned over to the pregnant bat.
"I do remember, how are you doing ma'am?"
"Oh, I'm hanging in there." The bat replied before winching a bit.
The group looked, besides Loretta, looked at the buxom woman with concern as she held her stomach. Unsure if it's a dud or not.
"You, ok?" Octavia asked nervously.
"I'm alright, the baby is just kicking." Ferne replied with an 'a-ok' sign with her fingers at the same time Loretta came back with a blood pack. "Ah, perfect timing. Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Immediately she sank her fangs into the pack, and everyone winced as they watched her suck it dries in mere seconds. Even getting a little bit frightened as there was a bit of blood stained onto her cheeks. "Ah, that was nice. I needed that."
"Well thank Lucifer I'm not pregnant." The maid shivered.
"Thank Lucifer you don't drink blood either." Stu whispered to his sister as they watched her wipe off her face. "You'd only be bitchy."
"Yeah." Loretta glared at her brother, planting her hoof down on his own. He yelped in pain hopping on his other hoof as he nursed the hurting one. Donner and Arnold winched seeing that while Octavia rolled her eyes, Ferne however laughed a bit seeing them interact. She cleared her throat standing up.
"Would one of you imps kindly show me where the bathroom is? It's been a long while since I've been here."
"Of course, I'll show you the way." Loretta led the buxom bat off to one of the washrooms.
"Bitch..." Stu muttered underneath his breath and accidentally Loretta tossed a donut that plopped him right in the face.
"You're lucky I love the glazed ones." He grumbled. Picking it up quickly and went to take a bite.
"What is Lady Ferne even doing here?" Arnold questioned in confusion.
Donner shrugged his shoulders. "She just wanted to see me and Octavia."
"Without Bruns?"
"I don't make this up, I just go with it." The thunderbird shrugged.
"He's right." Octavia backed him up. "She never comes here because of mum anyways."
"That I can't argue with you there." He nodded.
She then stands up. "Anyways, if any of you want me, I'm gonna be in my room to finish setting up for tonight."
"I'm gonna go to my room too and take care of other stuff." Stu said as he walked off.
Arnold glanced over to Donner. "You know he's only going to sext with Sallie, right?"
"Not my business." The teen avian shrugged. "As long as I don't see it, and he doesn't do it anywhere near me, I don't care."
"I should probably head home too." The groundskeeper sighed. "Vee's been wanting to take me out to a movie."
"Alright man, see you later." Donner nodded before he made his way to his room.
Once there the teen sighed as he looked over to the clothes that were selected for the night. "Please just let this happen without any problems."
He made his way over to a dresser pulling out the two tickets that Arnold and Verosika had given him. "At least, so I can have a small chance in doing this..."
He then heard a knock on the door. Quickly he hid the tickets and walked over to see that it was Ferne. "Huh? Oh Fer-" Donner didn't even get a chance to say anything as she forced her way in and closed it behind him. "What are you?"
"Take off your shirt." Ferne demanded in a tone that she rarely uses.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"Do it now." The female bat said. "Then turn around."
Donner's eyes widened for a bit and reluctantly he nodded. He knew where this was coming from and even though he didn't want to. Just from the way things were at this moment he didn't have no choice as she wasn't giving him an option.
"It's alright..." Ferne said.
"Ferne? Is it happening?" Donner asked as he passed her the shirt.
"What?" Ferne shook her head. "No, not that. I know what happened."
"So...I take it Stolas told Bruns didn't he?"
"And naturally I found out." Ferne said in a matter of fact tone.
"Ah, that makes more sense...Thought you were..."
"Donner as flattering as that maybe, I'm not into younger men." She turned him around and traced her hands on the marks that Stella left on his back. She sighed, shaking her head. "She just won't let up..."
"Not like I have any other choice." Donner frowned. "Were she any other person, I would have killed her myself."
"And it's a good thing you didn't. There would only be trouble." Ferne said before rubbing where the marks were at. "I really wish there was something I could do to help out more Donner..."
"You already do enough...don't worry about it."
Ferne passed the shirt back to Donner. "So...what's this I've been hearing about from my husband as of late?"
"About what?"
She gained a smirk. "Supposedly something involving you having your eye on someone?"
Donner blushed upon hearing this. "What is it with everyone getting on my case? Leave me alone in peace..." He said, crossing out his arms.
"No need to be so defensive. I'm not as nosey as my husband." The buxom bat winked.
"Still it'd be nice if others knew less."
"Better the few that you trust than the ones that don't."
"True enough...I guess." Donner admitted before noticing she was wincing again. "Hmm? You alright?"
"Yeah, just some aches. Nothing crazy." Ferne brushed off.
"If you say so." Donner wasn't so convinced but went along with it. "You know Ferne if I might be so bold to ask about you and...her...You've known one another for a long time right?"
"Since we were little..." Ferne admitted a bit bitterly. "I tried to make friends with her, but as you can clearly see it didn't work out as planned. We both hate each other's guts."
"I applaud your futile attempt." Donner commented.
"That's what Stolas said." She winced once again only this time it was much harder than before.
"Ferne...you sure you're ok?"
"Don't worry about me Donner, I'm fine."
Over in Octavia's room we see the owl girl looking over some of the clothes she had to choose and others that she chose not to wear.
The door opened and we see Loretta enter the room carrying a small package with another one underneath her right pit. "Mail call milady."
"Ah good timing." Octavia grabbed the package the female imp had. "I've been waiting for my new phone to arrive." She raised an eyebrow glancing at the other package Loretta had. "What's that other one for?"
"Oh, this is something for Donner, his birthday is coming up in like two weeks from now. Don't tell him though."
"My lips are sealed." The princess zipped her beak imaginatively.
However she blinked in realization at what she heard. "Wait, his birthday is coming up?"
"Yeah. He'll be turning 17." Octavia raised an eyebrow at this before planting a fist onto her free open hand. "Oh yeah, that's right I keep forgetting that he's a year younger than me."
"Eh, you're not the only one, I keep forgetting that to sometimes. Stu at certain moments thinks that he's a 'little' person."
"I honestly don't get why he called him an oompa loompa earlier. Especially if he's shorter than him." The owl princess pondered.
"Yeah, not one of his smartest moments." Loretta agreed. "Then again that's normal."
"Hey Loretta, you don't think sometimes later you can help me look for something would you?"
"For Donners birthday? Oh yeah, I'd be more than happy to..." Just as Octavia was gonna say anything else the door was kicked open and we see Donner who looked frantic and out of breath. Panicking Loretta tossed her package away.
"Lucifer Morningstar, Donner! Are you trying to give us a heart attack?!" Loretta breathed in surprise.
"Baa...Baa...Baa..." He was trying to say something but because of how tired he was they couldn't understand what he was saying.
"Baa? Baa what?" Octavia questioned.
"Baay... The bay...!"
"Spit it out, D." Loretta glared at him, expectantly. "What bay?"
"What are you saying sheep?" Octavia still wasn't understanding him. "Since when do we have sheep?"
"All I'm hearing is a bay." The imp looks back at the stuttering thunderbird. "Speak up, needle tooth!
Donner calmed down, taking a quick breath before exhaling and spoke real fast yelling. "THEBABY!THEBABY'SCOMING!"
There was a brief silent pause for a moment as that sunk into their heads. Their instant reactions were screams of surprise. Loretta moves to the door pushing Donner out of the way. "Outta the way!" And blitzed down the hallway.
...0...o...0...
We now change to the living room where we see Ferne holding her stomach showing signs of discomfort, with Octavia sitting right next to her holding her hand.
Stu had just got off the phone. "Alright I called up Master Stolas, and he's sending someone right now!"
Donner did the same thing. "Just told Bruns he's on his way."
"But shouldn't we get her to the hospital though?" Octavia questioned not entirely what to do at this point. "How long will it take?"
"About half an hour." Stu replied before earning a scoff from Loretta.
"Are you kidding? Traffic at this time is packed!"
Ferne groaned from the pain in her stomach, prompting the group to pay more attention to her. "When did you say her water break?" Octavia asked her bodyguard.
"Just about ten minutes ago." Donner kneeled down putting a hand on the female bat demon's legs. "Ferne, I know this is a lot to ask, but please try to hold on."
"There's no hanging on here." Ferne replied. "It'll come when it's ready."
"So, if we can't get her to the hospital, where else are we supposed to go?" Stu debated. "I don't know if the infirmary has enough medicine for her."
"Well for right now it be best we get her somewhere else." Donner pondered in thought. "Stu, the nearest guest room has it been cleaned?"
"Yeah, just last week." Stu answered. "Honestly, better than going out there. Donner, help me with her. Sis, get some of the drugs out of the infirmary." He told them. "Something tells me this is gonna be a while."
"On it." Loretta rushed off as Donner helped Ferne get onto her feet. During the process Octavia got into Stu's way and joined in.
"I'm right here too, so I'll help out." The female owl demon said.
"Ok." The imp was fine with that.
"Stu, rush on ahead and set up the bed." Stu didn't need to ask Donner twice as he dashed off while he and his fellow avian demon helped Ferne walk through the halls. "It's not too far Ferne, just bear with us for a little bit..."
"Hang in there..." Octavia added doing her best to calm down despite the situation they were in now. "Do you even know what you're doing Donner?"
"Honestly, no. But do we have any other choice? I can't just fly here to the hospital; the whiplash could harm the baby."
"Where's the Grimoire when you need it?" She growled. But calmed down hearing Ferne yell in unbearable pain.
"You already know the answer to that." Donner retorted as they increased their pace but made sure not to go too fast at the same time. They finally arrived at the guest room where Stu had it all set up and had the pillows all arranged. Hell, he even grabbed a few to spare.
"Ok let's set her down. Be easy about it."
They gently put her on the bed as the laboring bat groaned in pain, taking her underwear off and getting into position for what's next. But right now, the pain is agonizing.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Loretta entered the room with the necessary medical supplies placing them to the side. "How are we looking?"
"Well, she's already dilating. So right now, she needs something for the pain. Do you have the shot and IV?" Stu asked, watching the noblewoman closely.
"We didn't have any of those." Loretta shook her head, making them curse underneath their breaths. "We only got the basic stuff, but luckily we got plenty of disinfectant."
Ferne suddenly jolted and the group noticed this. She then muttered something very quietly underneath her breath. "I..."
"What?" Donner asked. "What is it, Ferne?"
"Uh yeah...we couldn't really hear that..." Octavia added before Ferne spoke up making an agonizing face.
"I SAID IT'S COMING!" Everyone began to panic upon hearing this.
"Loretta, water. Now!" Stu barked. "Lots of it!"
"I'll get some ice!" Donner rushed out of the room, Stu get some towels! Octavia, stay here! Talk to her!"
"Right." Octavia nodded, nervously.
"It...it's alright sweety..." Ferne said to her despite her breathing growing ragged. Hearing that was enough for Octavia to grip the bat demon's hand. "You're right here with me. I appreciate it."
Ferne then emitted an ear shattering scream that echoed throughout the entire palace.
Outside of the guest room we see Donner and Octavia sitting up against a wall. Merida had arrived half an hour ago and brought along with them a doctor who took over tagging them out.
Not too long after Bruns had just arrived he was in there right now supporting his wife.
"She should be alright." The head maid said to them. "It's in the doctor's hands now. They'll know what they're doing."
"It's nice to wear regular clothing instead of those stupid fancy clothes were always required to wear." She glanced over to a mirror in the wall. "I haven't been to 'regular' party in a while."
"That's good..." Donner sighed out in relief. "Yeah..." Octavia felt the same way.
"Also, I must say, nice job." The sinner smiled at the two. "Even despite the pressure you both managed to help pull your own wieght."
"We've had some help." The thunderbird admitted.
"You're welcome by the way..." Stu said laying on the floor looking exhausted as was his sister.
"Glad...we could help..." Loretta managed to say.
"Well done all the same." Merida praised.
"How is she doing?" They all turned to see Stolas run up to them with Stella intact who looked a bit less interested crossing out her arms wishing she had something else better to do.
"She's alright, my prince." The boney sinner reassured. "Doctor's preparing for the procedure, should take a couple hours at best or up till night at the worst."
"That's a relief." Stolas said while Stella scoffed rolling her eyes.
"I can sort of understand the circumstances, but out of all the places it had to been here?" The older female owl grumbled underneath her breath.
"Stella will you just let this one slide?" The four eyed owl said, putting hand up against his face.
"Fine." She only did so because she was a mother herself but ultimately that was it. Stella looked over to Stu and Loretta. "You two, what you doing just laying there for? Go do something."
"Yes madam." Both imps groaned as they got up. Anything else was better then being in the same room as the mistress of the household.
"Inbred little bitch." Stu whispers in Loretta's ear. She nodded in agreement.
Stella turned over to Octavia. "Octavia, dear, could you please wait in your room for a moment please?" The white avian demon requested.
She looks up to her mother with a frown on her face. "I think I'll be fine sitting here, mum."
"What was that?"
"I helped out in this, and I want to be here to see the end result." Octavia replied back. "I did my part in helping and not sitting on the sidelines doing nothing."
"Which she did help greatly." Donner admitted. "It made a difference."
"I wasn't talking to you, runt." Stella said and before she could say anything else Bruns came out of the door.
Stolas noticed his old friend exit growing worried. "Bruns?"
The bat smiled, giving an A-sign with his hand. "She's finished."
"Already?" Merida questioned surprised to hear this. "You are sure my lord? It's a bit early though."
"Yes, I was just as surprised as you were." The male bat demon admitted.
He then cleared his throat when he did the doctor and a nurse imp emerged. "Well good news my lord, mother and baby both are in perfect health. The delivery might've been done a bit sooner than usual, but no less everything else is fine. Well done to those that helped while we weren't here. Even when professionals aren't present."
"Oh~!" Bruns squeals in delight. "C'mon you've gotta see it!..." His excited look was replaced frowns looking at Stella. "Except you of course."
Stella instantly gained an angry mark upon hearing that. So, she turned her head and 'hmphed' before walking away. "Wasn't interested anyways but do give the bitch my regards though on her new child."
"I would be careful not to choke on those words, if I were you." The nosey bat warned the avian demon.
Stella merely flipped him off in response. The doctor cleared his throat. "Well best be off, but do recommend in the next coming days to bring the newest addition for an examination."
"Will do, thank you so much." The doctor and nurse bowed their heads before leaving.
Stolas meanwhile got super excited moving his legs rapidly giving off a few hooting noises in the process. "Ohohoho! I can't wait any longer!"
"Well come on, come on." Bruns motioned them inside and they saw Ferne holding a wrapped-up bundle. They all waved over to her.
"Hi..." She greeted silently as possible in response bearing a smile.
"Hey, how are you doing?" Octavia greeted as they each sat by the sides of the bed.
"Much better now." Ferne replied back, looking over to the small bundle and holding it outwards for them all to see. "Meet our daughter."
The owl teen silently fist pumped in triumph. Donner noticed this and rolled his eyes letting her have her moment. Stolas meanwhile put a hand on Bruns shoulder. "I'm happy for you old friend."
"Thank you." Bruns said before he cried a little bit feeling extremely happy. The four eyed owl demon couldn't help but chuckle because he felt the same way when he first held Octavia in his arms for the first time.
As for Merida she closed her eyes and smiled reminiscing about her past life while still human and all the new memories she made with Donner.
"Have you both thought of a name?" Donner questioned.
"Yes, we have, Veer. We choose Veer. Her name is Veer Sombra Penubra." Ferne answered cradling her born child.
"Vera for short." Bruns added.
"Nice." Octavia smiled happily that everything went ok and wasn't able to miss Ferne bringing her child into their infernal world.
"Would you like to hold her?" Ferne questioned.
"Can I?" She looked at her nervously.
"By all means." Ferne insisted holding out her newborn. "Gently though." Stolas eagerly motioned her for to do so and elbowed Merida who rolled her eyes secretly starting to record on her phone.
Donner nudged her shoulder. As a way to remind her she wanted to see the newborn baby and she guessed spot on what its gender would be. So calming herself down Octavia leaned forward and held out her arms letting Ferne put the kid into her arms. She made extremely sure not to do anything to hurt baby Veer, since how fragile she was.
"W-Well I'm Octavia, it's...nice to meet you Vera. I hope you grow up strong and with...lots of love." The teen owl wasn't so sure on how she was doing since she hadn't been around newborns that much. The baby nudged around in her slumber as if she was nuzzling closer to the owl demon. Octavia smiled at this. "Donner would you mind?"
"Way ahead of you." Donner gave her a thumbs up before snapping a photo of her and newborn noble demon to help remember this special moment. "Good luck Vera, you're gonna need it." The avian said with a smile.
After the whole thing settled down and giving Ferne enough time to rest, Bruns had their driver take them back home.
Plus, once it passed over, Octavia had gained permission to go to the party. Even though Stella said no, Stolas pointed out their daughter helped deliver a baby and gave the doctor a little time before they got there. So ultimately, she deserved to go as an award for her effort.
So she didn't waste time, changing her clothes and chasing the thunderbird down to garage, leading them to Miguel's shop moments later without any incident.
They'd just parked outside of the shop.
Octavia was now wearing a black shirt with a white outlined star, and a black skirt supported be a metal studded belt. She was also wearing pink and black stripped sleeves, with a few braces including knee high socks. The left matching her sleeves while the right was black. She also wasn't wearing her tiara/beanie at all letting her hair hang out showing off more of her face.
"After a long day, I need this." Octavia breathed out as Donner stepped out of his car wearing what she had helped him pick out.
"I can second that."
"Before we go in, how do I look?"
"Like a member of the Runaways." Donner answered with a smirk.
"The what?" She tilted her head.
"You know, Joan Jets old band before starting the Black Hearts?"
"Never heard of them." The owl princess shrugged. "Honestly the closest to the Runaway's I know are those books of yours."
"Oh, I so gotta show and introduce you to them. You would like their music, they're spot on."
"Cool." Octavia was about to enter the shop but Donner cleared his throat finding this would be the perfect time since he didn't know if there was gonna be another chance.
"Hey Octavia?" He paused at his steps trying to muster up some courage for this one.
"Hmm?" She stopped and turned around walking back over to him. Wondering what was going on with her bodyguard.
"Here..." Reaching into his pocket he passed her the two tickets.
"What're these?" She looked at them in between her fingers.
"Two exclusive VIP tickets to Sour Gears next concert coming around at the end of this month."
"Sour Gears?!" She squawked.
"Wait, you know them? Much less like them?" Donner wasn't expecting that response but was pleased no less.
"Second to Fuck You Dad!" She squeals in excitement at what she has in her hands, before hugging the shorter avian. "You're fucking awesome, Donner!"
"Whoa...Ok..." Donner wasn't expecting this and patted her back blushing a bit and from the window he saw Miguel and Rocky with Loona all in costume snapping photos with the tribrid pup making 'smoochy faces' pretending he was making out.
Donner quickly mouthed them to 'shut the fuck up.' and tried to wave them away.
"C'mon, we've got to a party to go to." The thunderbird was suddenly pulled by the owl, as she opened the door to the shop.
"So, is that a yes you're interested in going?" Donner questioned as he got pulled in.
"Donner, this is the best gift I've had in years! Of course, I'm interested."
Octavia paused before pushing him inside, getting a yelp out of him. "Now let's have some fun!"
"Ok! Ok! You didn't have to push me in here!" Donner yelled as the sound of loud music muffled them out
(Song playing in the background: Rhinestone Eyes by Gorillaz.)
Inside you could see the teases he was getting from Rocky was still teasing Donner, the avian demon shoved his face under a beanie he was wearing and started busting out moves with Octavia out onto the dance floor where the merchandise usually was.
But unknown to them someone from outside sitting in a car rolling down their window and started snapping photos of the two dancing away with their phone.
Once it was done the demon who took the photos and sent them to someone.
As for who that someone was, it was Stella in her office who was fuming in anger.
"That little fucker is dead..." Stella breathed under her breath, tossing the phone aside.
She marched over to a window and glanced outside. "One way or another, I'll make sure that both he and that cheating imp sucking bastard are both rotting."
Inside of Destiny's Bar we zoom out from the screen of the old tv. where we see the being and the cat both meditating.
Meow
"Indeed Mitty. Things are gonna start getting rather busy from here on out." Destiny bowed to the audience/readers.
"Till next time. Now where are my goods?" He pulls out a bong and lights it smoking the marijuana inside of it
(Song in the background now end.)
To be continued.
(Notice) Now I do realize some are disappointed I haven't still updated my other stuff, but at least Sixth Titan Omni got one, as I say and to those that keep on pestering and tell me what to update next, there still in works, I'm just bouncing back between them.
Also, on another note, this Wednesday, I'm gonna be going on Vacation heading down to Southern Cal to see some family, which means you all probably, won't hear from me for a short while (depending on where I'm at and the internet connections), but I will be returning home on Thursday next week.
So, if any other questions regarding the stories, please, do so through the PMs, peace out everyone and stay awesome.
Oh yes, and one more thing, as for what'll most likely be updated next, Hush Temperance, but I would like to focus on Ultraman Kiba and my Kipo story. Again, there's progress, and they both need just a few other things to help finish them up.
Now replying back to reviewers
Kamenrider13489: Using references from the Hitmans Bodyguard would actually be a nice touch. Again as I mentioned before, it's a possible Oc Ultra story with Kill La Kill, not Dyna. As for Ultraman Kiba I have been meaning to update the story, but just got a few roadblocks, it is almost done needs a bit more work, and I need some inspiration. Also sorry, but I'm pretty burned out on Digimon to be honest, like not literally, but just am, as I'm focused on other things.
Gamelover41592: Thank you.
ReadingBeta: I think so myself, on the bright side too, me and Pyro were super syched knowing we had Andrealphus's personality, Stella's older brother hands down written out well even before he came out.
The Saiyian Boy: Your awesome as usual.
Marbeled Gold: "You stupid bird" -Stella. Me: "Says the stupid bird". Nice one dude, and yeah although it was hard considering it was technically child abuse, but it shows how deep his beatings from Stella go and how they kept going on into today. Octavia's moment yes, it was awesome, but it was even more awesome of how great of a friend she is towards Donner, enough to make him smile, even with his predicament. Hope you liked this chapter as well.
Guest#1: Same here.
desmond botx2: 1. Always happy to do one, as for Stella, yeah I know, and don't worry her time will come later on. Octavia's big moment of not taking her mom's BS really hit a home run so far, plus the encounter let's just say it might be sooner then you think. The IMP has Striker while in Donner's case he has, Herne. That tiger is gonna be a tough son of bitch to take out. Plus that's funny you compare, Stu, Loretta and Arnold to those three. (As for Stolas, yeah me too, I hope they'll release the new episode, because I already can't wait.) 2. No worries man, shit happens.
King of 2211x2: C.12. Oh yeah, that's been a moment I've long waited to show all of you. (That and help expand more Oc with that succubus on the site. And what's the story without music?) As for the secret fling, yep you hit right there on the nail.
C.13. You do know that it wasn't Donner who killed Zane and his dad right? It was Herne, or maybe your referring to how his life went down shit creek after what happened. Hope you like this chapter my friend.
1971kr: I know, that's why this is a side story. As for Blitzo, when isn't he an ass-monkey? I'm just doing that, to show the 'other' perspective and their thoughts on him since this isn't soley focused on him. Personally, I think he's had a hard fucked up life like everyone else down there. But acts that way to hide away all that pain. But glad that your enjoying this story no less, and continue to follow along and share your thoughts. Hope you liked this one. Peace out.
