The Pre-Story Information Post

Usually I wouldn't do this but I don't trust the internet so I'm making this for new readers. I ask you to please take a gander at this chapter if you are a new viewer even though it's fairly irrelevant story-wise.

• This story has a lot of supplemental material posted to my DeviantArt account as well as the official Discord. Because of how this site treats links, I can't add them to this so unfortunately, you will have to manually search the following term:

"ISS600 TV Tropes School Days"

• This should take you to a result that is titled "Fanfic/School Days (ISS600)" on TV Tropes. This page will have links to the fic on here and Wattpad, the DeviantArt folder and the public Discord. A lot of information can be found here.

Disclaimers

I have my best to portray everything present as accurately as I can. Obviously, this won't be completely perfect and there will inevitably be errors made here and there. If there are, please correct me whether through PMs, DMs, Discord or Reviews. I am fully aware that I will not get everything correct and where I falter I ask you to help me instead of demonizing me.

About the characters "Evan Fox" and "Kaylus Beitz". Evan's A.S.D. symptoms are symptoms that I have or my friends have (we have all been diagnosed by medical professionals as having A.S.D.). He is not a case of the trope "Hollywood Autism" and just because some symptoms are present in that trope and also Evan, it doesn't mean he is that trope. Some of his symptoms are considered stereotypical such as lack of cognitive empathy, but these are symptoms that I personally have. The same thing for the OC "Kaylus Beitz". Her submitter and writer has A.S.D. and A.D.H.D. just like Kaylus does and Kaylus is not a stereotype nor meant to be an offensive portrayal.

There are multiple characters who are Native American and belong to different tribes. Information on each tribe (Lakota, Tigua, Karankawa, Potawatomi) differs in how much of it exists. I will do my absolute best to get as much as I can correct but if there are gaps or incorrect details, again, I ask you to correct me.

Lastly, I am aware of what Five Nights in Anime is and I have ensured that there will be nothing sexual about the School Days versions of the characters. Everything about them will be age appropriate. I have included them for fun and will provide justification in-universe for why they are allowed despite the content of the game. I am very much aware of everything that the games are.

OC Submissions

The following informational bits are copied from the School Days' Discord Server.

All About O.C.s and Their Involvement in the School Days Series

This post is to be an informative bit on the OCs and what S.D. does with them. OCs are characters submitted by the readers and members of the Discord to fill out the student body and act as backgrounders of sorts in chapters and such. They can star in any chapters with any small roles but also can have their own P.o.V. chapters where they are the main focus of the story.

They can also be friends with, related to and have crushes on the canon characters and are totally free to interact with any canon characters in whatever way that the OC writer sees fit. However, this is still my story so I have final say on stuff so if something does not fit for School Days, it'll probably end up being shown in Holi-Days. Seldom would something be outright disallowed but it's possible (you never know what people plan).

What is a "Referential O.C." and a "Canon-Based O.C."?

As the series only allows O.C.'s, those who wish to have canon characters will have to settle for creating these instead. With that in mind, there is an allowed workaround for those who really want to write a canon character.

• A canon-based O.C. is an original character that is based on a canon character from the Five Nights at Freddy's series and/or assorted fangames. They are explicitly your own personal, original version of that canon character and

• A referential O.C. is an original character that heavily references and is inspired by a canon character. They are not based on canon characters and are not your personal, original version of a canon character; they are solely your own creation that just takes inspiration from and references a canon character. Think of them like a shout-out to a canon character.

Rules for OCs

1: You can have as many OCs as you like and as many OC chapters as you like. No limits. Just follow the rules, ask any questions if needed and check with me about OC-to-Canon relationships. Otherwise, go nuts and go crazy and have fun.

2: Because in S.D. everyone being human, this extends to OCs. No unrealistic stuff like natural green hair, natural galaxy eyes or cyborg bodies. You can have different colors for hair and eyes, but you must specify that this is dye and contacts and tell me their original colors. While the series is set in the FNaF universe, I'm still establishing a grounded take on the world.

3: Kids, teens and adults are all fine but keep in mind that only adults that are a part of the school can be faction members (it's a school-only activity). Otherwise their faction must be "N/A". They also can't take sides or support a faction since they're completely uninvolved. The age range for students is 5-18. Anything 19+ is an adult.

4: Be appropriate. Remember the ages of the characters here and keep it to scale with their age for the most part. Be whatever, but hold enough realism that it isn't jarring.

5: If you give your character a disorder, do your research on it and be realistic. I'll obviously be researching myself, but do your own when you write the O.C.

Rules for Canon-Based OCs

1: You can create a canon-based OC from any F.N.a.F character, but only if that character comes from a game released BEFORE 2016 (meaning games from 2015 and earlier).

2: For fangames, you can only use characters from games BEFORE 2018 (meaning games from 2017 and earlier).

3: They must follow the same rules as regular OCs.

Rules for Referential OCs

1: Referential OCs are OCs that simply reference and take inspiration from canon material. They cannot be based on any canon characters.

2: You can create a referential OC from any F.N.a.F character from any game. As they are only referential and take inspiration, they can get away with breaking the time-space continuum a little.

3: They must follow the same rules as regular OCs.

Profile Explanation

An explanation of the profile used for this series and what kinds of information are being asked for.

Name: Their real and full name.

If they have a case like Freddy, Bonnie or Chica where their surname was changed, use the changed surname, put the original one in brackets.

Faction Name: Nightguards keep their real name, Animatronics usually get nicknames but sometimes keep their real first name.

Seán is Springtrap, Fionn is Foxy, Fianna is Mangle etc. Some Nightguards have nicknames such as Matt is Phone Guy, Nicholas is Phone Dude etc.

Age: Their age and the grade they are in.

If you don't know the age, take 5 and add the grade number to it, and that's the age your character is. For grades, take the age and subtract 5, and that's the grade. Example: 5 + 2 (grade) = 7 (age) so anyone in 2nd grade must be 7. 12 age) - 5 = 7 (grade) so anyone who's 12 is in 7th grade.

Gender: Male or Female.

Faction: Nightguard, Animatronic, Honorary Animatronic, Honorary Nightguard or True Neutral.

Animal Representation: The animal they represent.

Freddy gets bear ears and a bear tail because he is a bear in the game. Most Nightguards don't have these since the ones in-game are strictly human, however your one can if you really want.

Appearance: Physical appearance, clothes and the optional faction uniform/prop should your O.C. have one.

Animatronics usually have uniforms, Nightguards usually have themed props however these aren't 100% needed.

Personality: Their personality. Doesn't have to be very long, just enough where I can get an idea of what they're like.

Notes: Any notes on them like mental/physical/developmental disorders, likes, dislikes, relations to other characters etc.

Tropes Associated: OPTIONAL. If you have specific tropes your character has, add them. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. This is just for fun.
