Fox, J., (2014), '30s Years On: The Mysteries of Fazbear Ent.'
Interviewed by Wilma Attenbore, KXXV, ABC News, 28 September.
"Hello."
"Hello, ma'am. I'm-"
"We know your name, no need to say anything."
"Oh, never mind then."
"So, please inform us of what happened after the bus picked you up."
"What, why?"
"So that we know what happened before Friday's incident."
"That was a month before Friday. What has that got to do with it?"
"More than you know."
"How so?"
"Tell the story!"
Jason narrows his eyes, but complies to avoid getting on the interviewer's nerves. He's been through a lot; fighting with an adult is something he cannot handle at this moment.
"...OK then, ma'am..."
After walking what felt like a to get onto the bus and sitting down, I noticed a new student.
"Was it Ms. Emmings?"
"Yes, it was."
I tried to say "hi" but she was wearing headphones, so I let her be and played Snake Xenzia the whole time. It wasn't a very interesting ride, and definitely had nothing of relevance to Friday.
"Continue."
…When we reached the elementary school, I took my bag and got off the bus. I walked up to where the rest of the middle schoolers were required to meet with my brother and stood close to the girl.
"Intentionally?"
"No. I just stood there; I didn't even realize how close I was to her."
She looked around a little, then noticed me awkwardly standing behind her. "Hello there." she greeted. "Hello." I greeted back. "My name is Marionette; I'm new here." she added, putting her hand out. "It's nice to meet you." I said, shaking her hand. We stood there in awkward silence for a few seconds before I idiotically blurted out, "My name's Jason, I'm schizophrenic and I think you're really pretty."
"Why would you say that of all things to someone that you had just met?"
"People tend to be dismissive of Ev and I, so I started saying stuff like that as a joke to see if they cared…and…Marionette cared. I deeply regret it."
"Oh, euh, thanks, I'm flattered. I wanted to look extra nice for the first day, good impressions and all." she responded, a little more nervous than before. "You succeeded." I replied, dying of embarrassment and awkwardness the whole time. I'm surprised she didn't hit me for that comment, let alone decided to be friends with me after that.
After this utter failure of an encounter, we walked to school and tried to ignore what sins had been committed.
"What school do you attend?"
"Aemulus Jr. High."
"And your grade?"
"7th."
"Understood. Now, continue."
"Yes ma'am.
I walked to the back of the line where Ev was standing and lightly poked him on the back of his neck. He spun around and poked me in the ribs, two of which had been cracked last week. It hurt. Anyway, he introduced himself to Marionette and the three of us began to talk. Well, Nette and I talked; Ev signed and I translated for him. Things went well as we waited to leave for school until Nette's stepsiblings ran over looking panicked.
"What was wrong?"
"A rather familiar face had been harassing them and they got spooked."
"Familiar?"
"Yeah, the guy was the same one who cracked both my ribs. He's…interesting, to say the least."
"I see. Does he have a name?"
"Chad Millers."
"Understood. Carry on then."
"Yes ma'am."
We decided to let them in on the conversation and they seemed to enjoy themselves until it was time to split and leave for school. Thankfully, nothing happened on the way there, however, once we got there and were waiting in our homeroom, Chad attacked Ev, again.
"Again?"
"Yeah, Ev's his favorite victim, besides me."
"What does he do?"
"Punch us, yell at us, throw things, taunt us, insult us with the darkest parts of lives as ammunition, whatever he can think of to cause pain."
"Has the school intervened?"
"Yes."
"How did they intervene?"
"They suspended him."
"Anything else?"
"I don't know. Why do you care? He has nothing to do with Friday."
"Hm, alright then. Continue on."
"Yes ma'am."
After the first punch was thrown, I lunged at Chad and wrestled him to the floor, pinning him on the ground with his arms behind his back. I didn't attack or commit needless violence but the teacher didn't care. "Jason Fox, what the Hell do you think you're doing?! How DARE you beat up another student!" she screamed; it was Ms. Lida so I wasn't surprised. "He was attacking Ev again, and all I did was restrain a violent individual. That's hardly beating someone up." I replied, mad as Hell with everything. "Oh really now. Where is your proof of that?" she demanded, snide as usual. "Jason's telling the truth. Evan was being attacked; he got punched!" a boy I recognized as Crew Lockman stated. Crew is a Godsend, honestly…he always means well, even if he messes [CENSORED] up.
"Who is Crew Lockman?"
"A tall boy with pale skin, blonde hair and a scar from the bottom of his right eye to his cheek and bunny ears on his head."
"I see. He is a cousin of Bonnie and Séan, correct?"
"Yes…in fact, I believe you've scheduled him for an interview."
"Well then, whatever your name is; weeks detention, weekends too for you and the…the other one…whatever his name is too." She turned to Chad. "As for you, young man. Don't do it again, OK?" Chad nodded, being the piece of [CENSORED] he was.
"For some reason, Marionette stepped into the incident which was really nice of her to do but I honestly have no idea why she did."
"What the Hell? Jason gets detention and the guy who punched Evan doesn't get punished. What is wrong with you?" Marionette exclaimed. She really didn't like what was happening; it seemed almost personal to her, actually, it probably was personal to her…
Ms. Lida glared at her and said, "Talking back to a teacher; weeks detention." Ev gave her one Hell of a death stare and I could tell he was seething inside. He couldn't say anything verbally but if he could, I know he'd be cursing her out to high Heaven. Back to the topic at hand though…
Chad smiled at us with his usual [CENSORED]-eating grin, elated that he got away with what he did, again. "Listen up you two lanky [CENSORED], you come at me again and I'll break more than just a couple ribs." he threatened. He then hit me in the chest, letting me experience extreme pain and shoved Marionette backwards, knocking her off-balance and into me. We righted ourselves and shared a knowing look, then took a step towards him and watched him back away. We stepped forward again, and he backed away further this time. We continued this game for a few feet, then just ran right at him. The shock caused him to trip before getting up and taking off. We chased him part way across the building until Nurse Villmens separated us and he ran away. We gave him a stern glare before being dragged into the nurse's office and sharply reprimanded.
"Why the nurses office of all places?"
"I didn't at the time."
"Do you know now?"
"No."
"Hmm, I see. Then let's talk about something else. Why did you lead multiple children to their near deaths?"
"What?!"
"You heard me, why did you attempt to kill several children?"
"I didn't try to kill them!"
"Yes, you did, it's obvious. You led them to that building and intended for them to burn alive in the Fire."
"No, I didn't! I didn't lead them anywhere. We were lured there."
"Sure, you were."
"I'm telling you the truth; I know that the "Purple Guy" lured us there."
"Why would I trust the word of a psycho? You're delusional. Admit you wanted to kill them. That pyromaniac helped you, didn't he?"
"What?! No, Seán didn't do anything! He's not an instigator, he's a victim just like everyone else! How dare you accuse a literal fucking child of murder! What's wrong with your fucking head?!"
*Jason will remember that.*
"Hm. Allow me to humor you then. They had nothing to do with the fire, but you did. You still told the children about those hallucinations and researched all of this and got them involved then ended up in a burning building and nearly dying. Oh, and I can't forget that Seán lost his parents because they ran in to find all of you. So from what the facts state, you were still responsible, and you can say that-."
*Jason is gone.*
Seán's P.O.V.
"Oh hi, I'm Seán. Nice to meet you, ma'am. You want me to tell you about the first day of school? Uh, OK? Until he comes back? Alright then, I guess. Where do I start? Oh, you want to hear about that? OK…I guess I can talk about it. No, I don't know why the middle schoolers were in the cafeteria."
I finished class and met up with my cousin Bonnie and my brother Peter as we left for lunch in the cafeteria. As soon as we got inside the room, I looked around to see this really cozy area with tons of tables and people eating and chatting. We all got our food and walked around 'til Bonnie told me that he saw his friends and led us over to the table where we met with Freddy Faz…Bearn…Bearns…I'm not sure which he uses. He's basically my cousin.
"We see each other as family; always have."
Freddy said that the "others" were coming and invited us to sit down. We did and two people appeared behind him, Chica and Fionn. They said "hi" and introduced themselves to us. I introduced myself and Fionn looked at me weirdly. "Ye be from Britain?" he asked. I nodded nervously and he lifted his arm like he was gonna give me a handshake, but he had a metal hook instead. I gave it a weird shake and he smiled at me with a toothy grin before we all sat down.
We chatted for a bit about the usual nonsense before the cafeteria doors flew open with a super loud bang and Jason and Marionette fell through the doors. Evan appeared behind me and accidentally scared me. I almost hit him…I still feel bad. He flinched before sitting down opposite from me, which I don't blame him for doing. Jason and Marionette made their way over to us and sat down. For some reason he had this bright blue collar on his neck. Just seeing it made me uneasy, like it was haunted or something.
"It wasn't really haunted, but the stuff inside made it feel that way…"
"Um…I don't know…I didn't ask…it creeped me out too much."
"Hi." I greeted. Jason said "hi" and so did Marionette. "What happened to you two? You fell through doors." Freddy asked. "Ms. Jennings didn't like that we got detention and chased around the piece of-" um, I'm not gonna swear on TV but Marionette swore when she spoke about this guy "piece of swear word that called Evan punched Eva." she explained, crushing the plastic spoon she was holding in anger, and scaring us all by doing that. The three of them introduced themselves to us and we waved.
We all kind of panicked over Evan as Marionette gave us a brief recap of events and Fianna immediately jumped to cling to him like a koala on a tree. "Why do you have a creepy collar?" I asked. "I wish I knew…the nurse put this on me. Telling my dad about this is going to be interesting." he replied, obviously annoyed and not really wanting to talk about it. Suddenly (and thankfully), Peter ran up to us with about four others with him, jumping up and down in excitement. "Hi Seán." he grinned, hugging me. "Guess who I found. This is B.B., J.J. and Gordon." he said, motioning to the kids his size standing next to him. "Hey, Seán and Peter." a familiar voice welcomed. "How's England been?"
"Hey Fred." I replied as Fred Barry walked up to our table. "England's great but now we live here." Peter said brightly, sitting down to join us. All of us spent the rest of lunch talking and discussing the events after school. After school ends, The Animatronics have a meeting where newcomers get their uniform and secret code for entrance to top secret meetings that take place after school every day. We get to do stuff like James Bond material like spy on the Nightguards and gather information on rival school teams for sports. That or we do music stuff!
"Oh, he's back now. I guess I'm done now. Do you need me to come back later? OK then. See you later, ma'am."
Jason's P.O.V.
"So, what did Seán tell y'all?"
"Only about the cafeteria portion. Please inform us of what happened at the nurse's office."
" Understood."
Once we had been pulled into the office, we were handed off to a woman named Mallory Jennings. I thought she was a nurse at the time but…I was wrong. Anyway, Nurse Villmens left us to her. She was completely manic; could barely compose herself to talk to us. She never stopped yelling incoherently about her children, how much she hated us and other things. Mallory picked up a collar and forced it onto my neck and…left. I still don't really understand it…
Nurse Villmens came back and quite literally dragged us from Aemulus to Salado Blue before throwing us through the cafeteria doors.
"Our school's cafeteria and gym were unavailable to use, so we had been borrowing the elementary school's facilities and we will be doing that from August to October. It's not as bad as it sounds. After lunch, we both headed back to school with the rest of the kids, and what a coincidence, we both took art class. After art, we had mathematics and a few more things before school ended. When it was over, Nette and I headed to the elementary school to see our siblings, and of course, we found Chad had decided that instead of going home like a normal person, he was at the elementary school bullying kids who couldn't even stand up to him. He was name calling, insulting and hitting Crew and a new girl named Sarah.
"Sarah Jane Isabel Leah Birch, correct?"
"Yes, ma'am, that's her."
The two of us decided to do something about it, so I snuck up behind him and was about to pull him off Crew and shove him to the ground when I heard him say "You are the reason the Stitchwraith killed your parents, got it? You dumb furry." before punching Crew. I decided "[CENSORED] that [CENSORED]" and threw him to the ground before kicking him in the side. Crew thanked me before giving Chad his own little beating. Richly deserved. Nette was with Sarah, comforting her over what happened. I didn't hear what was being said; she speaking rather quietly, but she has this motherly charm to her words that works wonders on all of the younger kids; it's soothing and it's comforting to be around her because of it.
I gave Crew a pat on the back and told him to ignore Chad because he's full of [CENSORED]. After that, we reported the incident to the teachers who quickly sorted out the issue and left for the first Animatronic meeting.
"I see. We will have Evan speak about that. Please let him know that we are requesting his statement."
"Yes ma'am. Goodbye."
Author's Note
I used the Harvard Style citation method as a replacement for the P.o.V. thing. Originally I wanted that to be the title but then I realized I nor anyone else would remember that monster of a sentence, so it's the P.o.V. thing instead. Anyway, as you can see, I got rid of the annoying choppy sentences because, quite frankly, it was far more annoying to edit than any other chapter and even though I wanted to do it for the sake of story purposes, it was not worth it. So, the full chapter is here instead. It still has story significance but it's not the biggest pain on Earth to fix. I also fixed some major plot holes and explained some other odd things. Most importantly, I fixed the teacher's name (Ms. Lida is the bad teacher, not Ms. Atrino), I rewrote the nurse's office incident to fit with the current plot I have for it and iron out the holes (Mallory didn't make any sense originally but she does now) and most importantly, fixed the ending with Crew and Sarah B. where it seemed like they were in 7th grade and went to Aemulus Jr. High when they were actually 5th and 2nd graders that went to Salado Blue Elementary.
Thanks to Crew47 (formerly 477Crew) who appeared as himself as Crew Lockman and JJBALLONBOY, who submitted Sara Birch. You guys are the best.
