And the last of the interludes is upon us.

Oceangoing vessels were largely considered passe, thanks to flying being quicker and more efficient. However, there were those who liked to take their time, indulging in the slow and more spacious accommodations afforded by ships. A gentle rocking motion and the scent of brine appealed to some who were willing to give up time for these things.
But the problem with a ship was it was a type of box, one from which there was no escape, unless one was a fish. Or one of those people who could breathe underwater. Or didn't need to breathe at all. Or could walk on water. Or had functional wings….
Okay, it was a kind of box if you didn't have a super ability that could enable you to escape. Which meant if someone with super abilities that allowed them to come and go onto a ship at sea, and they wanted prey that had already in essence capture themselves, it was an ideal hunting ground.
And so it was a trio of beings appeared in a flash of light on the deck of the ship. The largest one was humanoid, seven feet tall and weighing at least four hundred pounds with a thick, trunk-like body. It would never be mistaken for human as its head, while round, had small tentacles sprouting all around its base. Two baleful eyes were the only human looking thing about it. It was naked, but possessed no organs that would indicate gender, if it even had one.
The two beings next to it were humanoid, but more animalistic. One resembled a lion, though bipedal and with hands that had claws and opposable thumbs. The other was as though it were a biblical demon, complete with horns and leathery wings.
The large one, an extra-dimensional being called Ulluxy'l Kwan Tae Syn, looked over the ship. "Remember, we're here for the Star of Capistan, not a Bloodgem fragment. I've been informed it is potentially useful in our ongoing struggle with reconstructing the Gem, and after being at it for millinia, I'm ready to take shortcuts. Now our primary mission is to recover the Star, but feel free to kill anyone you want that lies in your path. If you find it quickly, I'll let you indulge yourselves and you can kill everyone on board."
The lion scowled. "I say, old boy, that would be barbaric. While certainly I'm willing to kill anyone that would impede us, the stakes are that high, but to go out of my way to do it? Not my cup of tea. Frightfully bloodthirsty."
The demon shot Ulluxy'l a dirty look. "I feel like I'm being stereotyped based on my appearance. How do you know I'm some murderous monster? I could be a mild-mannered sort that doesn't kill unless he has to."
"Are you?" Ulluxy'l asked.
"Hell no. Love killing. Literally bathed in pools of blood. It's the whole presumption that I do, without any demonstrative basis, that rubs me wrong."
The leader made a sound that was so low it would make a person's bones vibrate. "Let me see if I can discover its location." Ulluxy'l stretched out his senses. "Wait a moment. I sense there are three Bloodgem on the ship. This is outstandi… three? Oh no."
"Oh yes."
Had he a heart, Ulluxy'l would have felt it seize up. Before him was over six feet and two hundred pounds of pure blond-haired, blue-eyed, Nordic masculinity. He wore a white safari type shirt unbuttoned so that a red jewel could be seen embedded in his chest. Shotgun shells were in bullet holders sewn into the outfit at the shoulders and upper chest. He had black leather boots and skin tight brown trousers along with a pump-action shotgun in his hand.
To his right was a young woman with her hair tied in a long blonde ponytail that would have been the female equivalent of him, save her top was tied in the front to show off both her stone, cleavage, and mid-riff. She had a pair of 1873 Colt single action 'Peacemakers' in both hands.
To his left was another woman, maybe a couple of years older than the other, with a much shorter, almost masculine, haircut and similar outfit and stone. She had only one pistol, a Taurus .44, and a long, serrated knife in the other.
The man, professional 'Monster Hunter' Ulysses Bloodstone said, "So, Oily Can Turd Soup, fancy meeting you here. Rape any Japanese school girls with that face of yours?"
"Good one, Dad," the one with the short haircut congratulated and fist bumped him.
Rage replaced dread in the extra-dimensional traveler. "It has literally been thousands of years and you have never gotten my name right! Not once! How difficult can it be?!"
"Your name's not pronounceable to the human tongue," Ulysses explained.
"Ulluxy'l Kwan Tae Syn," the other girl said in a tired voice.
Ulluxy'l pointed at the girl. "You see? Elsa knows how to say it. It's not going to save her from her impending death, but at least she's not a Neanderthal moron."
"Vanir," Ulysses corrected.
"Kill them!" he ordered his companions.
The lion man was a blur as he hurled himself at Elsa Bloodstone. As he tried to eviscerate her with his claws, she showed her own inhuman reflexes as she backed away, with claw only meeting shirt. She began emptying both revolvers into the creature, who roared in pain as his flesh was rent by bullets.
The demon launched himself at the other girl. Slower than the lion man, she was able to shoot him as he approached. The first bullet impacted his rather large forehead, which brought him to a halt. He cried out in pain, and held his head, as though dying in mortal agony. Then just as suddenly he stopped and removed his hand, revealing the area unblemished. "Sorry girl, I'm bulletproof." He gave his most vicious smile, flashing a mouth full of sharpened fangs.
Unconcerned, she gave a, "Puh lease." And put the next one through his eye, which it turned out was made of much softer tissue than his skull.
This time he roared much louder and in genuine agony as some kind of fluid gushed out of the wound. Despite what would have been a mortal blow to a human, he did not die and instead turned to her again, spittle flying forth. "I'll disembowel you for an eternity—." Only she was leaping at him with the very long knife. The surprise would be on her when the metal either bounced off or broke across his skin. No mortal blade could pierce his thick flesh.
Which was the last thought he had as the blade went effortlessly through his neck and decapitated him.
Haruka Bloodstone (formerly Tenou) turned to her father and waved the blade. "I love my birthday present, Daddy."
Ulysses nodded in approval. "I figured you were old enough to play with Olympian Adamantine, Pumpkin. Hephaestus used to gift that stuff to the Greeks like they were door prizes back in the day. Then the Greeks would try to strut their stuff with me, then I'd get it from them. Got a spiked mace made out of it I used to love. Thing's a hundred pounds, so you'd better believe I splattered some skulls with that baby. Ought to get it out of storage and use it again."
As he pondered what weapons he should dust off and return to circulation, Ulysses realized the sound of gunfire had stopped and turned to see his other daughter had dealt with her foe by emptying both pistols into him, leaving bloody chunks of furry meat on the deck. As she was reloading he said, "Nice job, Bunny."
Elsa made a disgusted sound. "I'm eighteen, Dad. Quit calling me that."
"Nope. It's a family tradition. I give all the kids the nickname of whatever the first monster they kill sort of looks like. Assuming they survive. Be happy you didn't get Weevil's nickname."
Her look remained as she finished reloading. The Bloodstones then turned to the only foe left. If he was intimidated, it was impossible to tell due to his face being a mass of tentacles, which aren't known for their easy to read expressions.
Ulysses hefted his shotgun. "Okay, Turdy, it's down to you, me, and my trusty shotgun. The one whose explosive shells make nice big holes in things."
"At long last we meet for the final time. I will rip the Bloodgem out of your chest, then rip your still beating heart out after that," Ulluxy'l boasted. He raised his hands, then suddenly looked at his wrist. "Oops. Late for a meeting with The Conspiracy. We're on the verge of a turf war with Undertow, and I can't skip out on it. Got to run and do conspiratorial things. Kill you later." With the wave of his hand a portal appeared, which he leapt through as fast as he could. It sealed up behind him.
Ulysses scowled at where the portal had been. "That's the third time he's ducked out on a fight with that excuse. I get the feeling he's lying."
"You do realize he wasn't wearing a watch, right?" Elsa said.
"Actually he can tell time from his wrist skin. Been doing it for centuries," Ulysses explained. "When people started wearing timepieces on their wrists, I thought, 'that's exactly how Ugly does it'. Real coincidence there. By the way, I can't help noticing you're growing into quite the healthy girl."
It was then Elsa realized her foe's initial swipe had slashed through the tied center of her top, and her breasts were on display.
Haruka said, "I'll help you get that back on, Sis," and began to approach her lasciviously. It was the drool in combination with the gaze that stayed fixated on the breasts that was the giveaway.
Elsa gave out a cry, trying to retie the top one handed while waving her gun in Haruka's direction. "Keep away, you freak! We're sisters!"
"Only half," Haruka contended.
Ulysses said, "You know, I just realized something. Given how many women I've had sex with, and the number of offspring I've sired over the course of millennia, I've almost certain slept with some of my direct descendants."
Elsa recoiled. "Eww. That is the grossest thing you've ever said, you perverted Neanderthal!"
"Vanir," Ulysses corrected.
"I think he's saying it's cool if we get it on," Haruka contended. However, she abruptly stopped harassing her sister and looked to the east. Something was tickling at her mind, making it look somewhere off in the distance. Something was calling to her, ever stronger.
And she knew somehow she'd be answering it soon.

[End Notes]
And that is the last of the Sailor Moon characters that will be introduced. So no more interludes planned at present.
As a side note, Ulysses Bloodstone was one of my favorite unrealized potential characters in Marvel. Hell, I could even see an Elsa Bloodstone movie working out, if done right.
