Coraline climbed through the tunnel once more, and the cowardly trio followed her. Oddly enough when they got into the kitchen...the Other Mother was gone. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage looked around suspiciously as Coraline had her eye on a bunch of a warm and steaming pile of junk food waiting for them.

A metal cupcake stand with red velvet and cream cheese frosted cupcakes, a pepperoni pizza, a plate of three hotdogs piled up, grilled cheese sandwiches with gherkins, a bucket of tortilla chips, a bowl of salsa, a plate of cookies, lemonade, a bottle of root beer; and a note with Coraline's name on it in cursive, seated on top of a one of two the gift-wrapped boxes. With one of them having Shaggy's name on it.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage looked around...no Other Mother...that's peculiar. She's almost always around. The three looked at Coraline who was reading a note. Coraline opened the present, and it was an outfit: starry blue sweater with black jeans and blue boots. The trio had to admit it did look really cool.

While a nervous feeling overcame Shaggy, curiosity won over instead. So, opening the box, Shaggy pulled out the contents of green fabric.

It was a green shirt with yellow lines, and a huge number five on the middle of the shirt. There was also brown shorts with pockets and two sandals.

Shaggy had to admit it, the clothes look awesome. But then fear caught up to him as Courage's advice wormed into his head. Guys, no matter how things in the Other World seemed great and fun, don't forget the real reason why we came with Coraline.

Shaggy quickly back tracked away from his gift, and closed it. "Like dude...maybe we should go back...I mean...your mom could be back any time," he reasoned.

"So what? They don't do anything for me, Shaggy. They work on their stupid catalog and never pay any attention to me! Plus, they don't care about me. All they care about is their stupid catalog," Coraline snapped.

"That's not true, Coraline," Courage protested.

"Oh yeah? Prove it!"

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all sighed...they had to admit things were not working in their favor of getting out of there. They sighed, and nodded. Coraline rushed up to change into her new outfit quickly. She and her friends then, after eating some of the lunch provided for them, (well Shaggy and Scooby mostly ate them all given their huge appetites.)

Getting outside, Coraline came outside with her new outfit on, and then she, Shaggy and Scooby burped from their big meal, tapping her stomachs

Courage rolled his eyes at Shaggy and Scooby. Well at least Shaggy didn't put his new outfit on, which clearly shows he and Scooby don't trust this Other World like I do.

The kids and puppies soon heard a meow, looked above, and saw the Cat that was with Wybie, looking down at them on the roof.

"Hm, Wybie's got a cat like you at home," Coraline said as she approached the cat, "Not the quiet Wybie. The one that talks too much. You must be the other cat."

He stops licking, and surprising the kids and puppies by SPEAKING, "No, I'm not the other anything. I'm me."

"Y-You can talk!?" Shaggy asked the Cat with shock, before turning to Scooby, "Dig that, guys, a talking cat!"

"Reah!" Scooby replied, equally as stunned.

Courage rolled his eyes, how could they be clearly surprise when him and Scooby are talking animals themselves? "Imagine that," he muttered.

Coraline soon said, "Um... I can see you don't have button eyes, but if you're the same cat, how can you talk?" As she asked her question, the Cat was walking away, while she and her friends followed him.

The Cat turned, and replied, "I just can."

Coraline stopped, and said, "Cats don't talk at home."

"No?" the Cat asked.

"Nope," Coraline replied.

The Cat soon jumped onto a tree, and replied back, "Well you're clearly the expert on these things." He walked up the tree, and continued, "After all, I'm just a big fat wuss puss."

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all gave smug grins at Coraline, and she glared at them in disapproval.

The cowardly trio had to admit it was funny for her to be told off by a cat...they might have to skip the show so they can talk to the cat. Coraline ignored her friends, and she turned back to the cat.

"Come back, please? I-I'm sorry I called you that. Really, I am," Coraline pleaded, "How'd ya get here?"

"I've been coming here for a while," the Cat said, and he disappeared into the tree...startling the four-some as he popped out of a hole in the tree beside them, "It's a game we play. She HATES cats, and tries to keep me out," and again he popped his head, just his head and front legs, into a hole, and that shocked the children and puppies even more...his front side popped out of a distant tree (which is was Scooby and Courage were looking at)...and his back end was still on the previous tree (which is what Coraline and Shaggy were looking at, but instead turned her gaze to the front), "But she can't of course. I come and go as I please."

"The Other Mother hates cats?" Coraline asked.

"Not like any MOTHER I've ever known," the cat retorted.

"What do you mean?! She's amazing!" Coraline snapped.

"Don't judge a book by its cover…" Courage mumbled.

"You probably think this place is a dream come true," the Cat said mysteriously, "But you're wrong. The Other Wybie told me so."

"That's nonsense," Coraline said, and the three best friends stared at the Cat curiously...Coraline didn't notice, "He can't talk."

"Perhaps not to you. We cats however have far superior senses than humans, and can see and smell and...shhh...I hear something...right over…," with a meow he took off.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all let out whines of discomfort. They'd wished the Cat had stuck around longer, but he didn't. They all sighed, and they and Coraline headed down to Spink and Forcible's.

It was quite strange, when they walked in, one of the dogs was right there with a flashlight. It shone the bright lights right at the two, they had to shield their eyes until they realized it was the dog. It circled them as if it was checking their identities.

It motioned them to follow it. The dog led them to four empty seats, and next to one was sitting Other Wybie. They took a seat next to him, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage being on the edge, and Coraline being between Phineas and Other Wybie.

"Hi Wybie," Coraline waved.

Momentarily, the show started. It started with a large fish prop centering the stage. A large hook grabbed the top revealing Other Spink...practically naked inside the bottom. Shaggy and Scooby felt the need to shield their eyes, then being boys looking at a practically naked woman (granted much older than him, but still). Courage on the other hand looked on with interest.

Coraline looked at her, and said, while shaking the Other Wybie's arm, "She's practically naked!"

I'm known as the siren of all seven seas

the breaker of hearts by the bay

so if you go swimmin

with bowlegged women

I might steal your weak heart away

Soon Miss Spink went down, and the ship moved to the left, and the background changed as well, while Coraline, the Other Wybie clap, while the dogs bark. Soon the scenery changed and Miss Forcible was on a shell also with button eyes, but in an outfit that caused Coraline to say in shock, "Oh my gosh."

Shaggy and Scooby all yelped with Scooby covering Courage's eyes.

"Re've seen enough," Scooby said, and he grabbed Courage and ran out of the theater trying to get the image out of his head. He shuddered outside in the dark night of the Other World, "Rhere's an image I can never unsee."

"What is it Scoob?" Courage asked innocently, not getting why Scooby was freaked out.

Scooby froze. Rourage doesn't need to know all of this stuff yet! 'RI'll explain to you when your older."

"I'm so sorry you had to see that."

Scooby and Courage turned toward the mysterious voice, and they could see the mangy looking Cat, his blue eyes staring up at his deep blue. They both waved at the cat, and the cat shook his head, unable to roll his eyes.

"Roh...right...sorry...just...trying to get that image out of my head," Scooby said and shuddered, "RI just…"

"Let's go for a walk," the Cat said.

However, before Scooby nor Courage could reply, the Cat darted quickly out of sight. Scooby and Courage both wondered why they scampered off so quickly. It was a split second of confusion before they both have their horrifying answer...right behind them.

"Hello, boys," the Other Mother startled them.

Well that's all for now. This is vakarns signing out.
