==The Mysterian Girl I==
Mysteria—an isolated Socialist planet in the less populated area of the universe. This proletarian monarchy was despised amongst the universe and would commonly create aimless threats towards all who dared oppose the queen. The military was massive and was mostly composed of female soldiers—who were viewed as the superior soldiers on this planet. In most of the world it was the men who signed up for selective service, on Mysteria all women were conscripted by law for four years unless severely wounded. The greatest shame of the Mysterian army was the defeat they faced at the hands of the Federation imperialists and Magican warmongers in the Patriotic War of Glory—an attempt to invade Magica on the orders of the queen.
Aside from the horrible lifestyle Mysterians were forced to have because of this government, some managed to get by through love and hope. The Flower family was one of the happiest families on the planet, despite the hardship of near poverty and bullying by the military. While the Flower family was indeed happy and living in survivable standards, there was the one member of the family who very occasionally would besmirch the Flower reputation through clumsiness, immaturity, and far-fetched dreaming…
"Ms. Flower!"
Chiya gasped and raised her head up from her desk, having just woken up. Several classmates began to laugh at her as she looked around the classroom with a dazed looked. She dipped her head down in embarrassment and groaned.
The teacher was tapping his foot down angrily, he was in a military officer uniform and had a strict look on his face, "Do my lessons bore you?"
Chiya exhaled and nodded quickly, "Oh, yes, definit-" she widened her eyes at him and dipped her head down, "I mean, no, I just-"
The teacher placed his hand down on her desk and quirked his mouth angrily, "Pay attention, Ms. Flower."
Chiya frowned and nodded, "Sorry, Mr. Scharnofski…"
He continued to stare at her, but he momentarily turned back around towards the whiteboard. He cleared his throat and picked up a marker, beginning to write on the board.
"When working with the Law of Sines, one may find themselves in a situation involving three points—or a triangle. You may be asked to find the measurement between two points—the answer will typically be rounded to the nearest tenth or power. For example, if point A is equal to seventy degrees, and point C is equal to twenty-six, then what would the distance of …"
Chiya had already dazed away again out of boredom, now slowly sketching in her sketchbook. Mr. Scharnofski continued to teach his class as Chiya doodled. She was drawing the Blue Falcon in the corner of his page—but with flames on the fins. She stuck her tongue out playfully as she began to shade the windows of the Blue Falcon. The Grand Prix is so awesome, I just know Captain Falcon's gonna' win it again..! The annual Grand Prix had already begun; Captain Falcon was in the top six so far as the third race had just ended. Black Shadow ultimately led the pack in the rankings by a slight amount. Chiya stuck her tongue out again as she slowly sketched herself locking lips with Captain Falcon. This is probably what's going to happen once I become a universe renowned soccer player, Captain Falcon will shake hands with me, and I'll go right for the kiss, and we'll get married, and-
"Ms. Flower."
Chiya widened her eyes and grunted, looking up at Mr. Scharnofski, "What."
He returned a somewhat irritated look, "The answer?"
Chiya raised an eyebrow, "Answer?"
"The answer!"
"-to life?"
The classroom started to laugh, Mr. Scharnofski grinded his teeth and whipped his finger back at the board, "The answer to the equation!"
Chiya widened her eyes and gasped, "U-uh…" she was staring at the triangle intensely, not the slightest clue as to what she had to do first, "D- do I add those three letters?"
"How would you add letters Chiya?"
Chiya puckered her lips, "Uh, well. A is the first letter, so one, B is the second, so two, and C is the third, three. Add those together and you get six, and the sixth letter in the alphabet is F."
Mr. Scharnofski face palmed and sighed loudly, "No. Ms. Trisha just did the measurement, now, round that number to the nearest tenth."
"O- oh God, okay, let's see here…"
Chiya squinted at the equation and gritted her teeth, the teacher waited patiently for her to answer. Chiya's classmates all understood that she wasn't smart in math at all, but she was fairly standard in all other classes. Chiya continued to hum as she counted in her head, trying to round the measurement. Mr. Scharnofski momentarily sighed, realizing that he was wasting time. He raised an eyebrow at Chiya's desk and approached her again. Chiya tapped her finger on her chin a few times, she gasped as Mr. Scharnofski took her sketchbook away from her.
"Hey! That's mine!"
He stepped back towards his desk while looking at the various sketches on the page, he nodded and hummed with a look of intrigue.
"Very interesting drawings…"
Chiya gritted her teeth, "I need that!"
He slowly flipped over the sketchbook and showed the drawing of her and Captain Falcon kissing to the entire class, "Who are you exchanging lips with in this drawing?"
The class all began to laugh at the drawing, Chiya gasped and instantly blushed, "Th- that's not me!"
He looked back at the drawing and quirked his mouth, "This ponytailed girl in a stock hat isn't you?"
Chiya dipped her head down more and grumbled with a worked up expression.
"That's Captain Falcon, Mr. Scharnofski, Chiya loves him," a girl said loudly.
Chiya gasped and glared at her with a blush, "I do not!"
He put the sketchbook back on her desk and sighed, "Put your sketches under your textbook, and pay attention…"
Chiya continued to blush, but nodded and rested her chin down on the desk, "Yes sir…" she responded silently.
School had ended and Chiya rushed out of the high school building with an angry expression. She walked down the sidewalk while staring at the parking lot. While Chiya did have a license, the family could only afford one vehicle—so Chiya and Abigail were both still driven by their parents. She looked down at her feet and smirked, excited for the tournament soccer game against New Ontario. Chiya was a new striker for the team, having just lost all her weight—despite being new she was surely the pride player of the Engelland varsity soccer team. She was mainly credited for having a strong foot.
Chiya approached a black vehicle and opened the door, quickly throwing her bags inside. She sat down in the back seat and buckled herself in. Chiya exhaled and looked to her left, Abigail sat with an eager expression. Abigail was shorter than Chiya, but had the same hairstyle and facial features.
"How was school, Chiya?"
Chiya turned her head towards the driver's seat, the man in the seat had brown combed hair, a black suit, and thick glasses. He blew smoke out of his mouth as he lowered his cigar, momentarily turning his head towards Chiya. This was Robert Flower.
"Was it educational?"
Chiya lowered her eyebrows, "Um, yes, I learned much math…"
Robert nodded with an impressed look, "Good, good…"
He turned on the vehicle and began to drive. Abigail bit on her lip with an excited look, she grasped Robert's seat and smiled, "I learned a lot today! I now know how-"
"Good. Now do you have an idea where you may wish to work at, like Chiya?"
Abigail frowned, "No…"
Fiona narrowed her eyes at Robert in frustration, then turned towards Abigail happily, "What did you learn at school sweetie?"
Abigail smiled, "Well, now I'm finally understanding a bit of the Magican language."
Robert quirked his mouth, "Useful for when you join the military. You'll probably fight on Magica one day."
"Oh, yeah…"
Chiya looked out the window silently at the soccer stadium, she smiled and held her cheek as she day dreamed. But she wasn't dreaming about soccer. Chiya instantly imagined the soccer stadium being the Mist Flower race track—Chiya climbing aboard a pink and red version of the Blue Falcon with pride. She exhaled and lowered her eyelids.
"Are you excited for the game Chiya?" asked Robert.
Abigail smiled at Chiya, "Yeah, think we'll win?"
Chiya got a hopeful look on her face, "Let's hope, otherwise we're done for the season."
"-and this is the only season you'll be playing, so play hard."
Fiona swished her hand at Robert, "Just play well and fair."
Robert shook negatively, "Imagine if we hadn't fought well and fair in the Patriotic War of Glory, we would've won."
Chiya smiled at Robert, "He's right Mom, I have to be aggressive, never back down. If I have a dream, I need to reach out for it, not politely wait for it to come to me."
Fiona smirked and shrugged as she raised her book up, "Whatever you say dear."
The four remained silent as they quickly drove out of the city, now heading out into the country. The Flower homestead was very small and isolated out in the country, very close to New Edinburgh. Abigail looked back at Chiya and smiled.
"You're going to be a celebrity one day…"
Chiya grinned at her and raised an eyebrow, "A celebrity?"
"Mhm! The universe will know your name easily. Chiya Flower, professional soccer player. Primary striker for the Mysterian national team!"
Chiya giggled and nodded, "If I ever make it onto the national team, I'm going to hand out so much money to the poor families of Mysteria."
Robert nodded his head in approval, "Good."
A while later, Chiya found herself lying in bed sketching. Abigail was on the floor with her pants pulled up—she was shaving her leg carefully. Chiya was now completing the romantic sketch of Captain Falcon. Abigail looked up at her and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you ever going to show these drawings to anyone?"
"No."
"Then what's the point of sketching?"
Chiya puckered her lips and shrugged, "I dunno', I like to sketch. Maybe I'll get a job as a comic illustrator one day."
"-or a manga designer, you do know fluent Japanese."
Chiya laughed playfully and shook negatively, "I would never abandon my home planet. Especially for one controlled by the imperialists pig dogs."
Abigail puckered her lips and looked up at her, "So-o…" Chiya raised an eyebrow at her, "David knows that you like him."
Chiya widened her eyes and gasped, "Wh- what!?"
"I think you should just go for it, he would totally go out with you."
Chiya began to whine. She flipped herself over and forced her head onto her pillow, "No, no, no! He wasn't supposed to know! I- I don't have a crush on him!"
"He'll say yes if you ask…"
"No, no, no! Why'd you tell me this Abby? Why!?"
"Just thought I'd warn you. Everyone in school know."
"What!?"
Abigail pulled her pants back and sat down on the floor, "Hallway gossip."
"I can't go to school on Monday!"
Abigail smirked at her, "It's fine, he likes you back. I know it."
Chiya grasped her head and began to shake constantly, "It's not fair! Everybody else can get boyfriends without getting caught, why am I getting screwed over!? Bloody Hell!"
"Chiya, you're really fit now and can fire the ball right into the net easily. Why are you so worried? Of course he'll go out with you!" she responded excitedly.
Chiya continued to shake her head into her pillow, "I'm so embarrassed. My life is over, I just know it."
A knocking could be heard coming from the door, but Chiya was too caught up in this predicament that she hadn't noticed. Abigail turned her head towards the door.
"Come in."
Robert entered their bedroom while still holding the doorknob, "We should get going, are you two-" he widened his eyes and gasped at the sight of Chiya whimpering into her pillow, "Chiya! What's wrong?"
Abigail widened her eyes as her dad instantly sent himself to Chiya's side. Robert put his hand on her shoulder as she groaned loudly.
"Are you sick? Your team needs you, Chiya."
Chiya nodded, "Yes, I'm sick. I'm lovesick…"
Robert grunted, "Wha- where did this come from?"
Chiya pointed back at Abigail without looking and sighed, "Abby says that the whole school knows who I have a crush on…"
Robert gritted his teeth and glared at Abigail, "Abigail!" he lectured loudly.
"What did I do?"
Robert continued to grunt angrily, he looked back down at Chiya and exhaled loudly. He snapped his fingers and pointed at the door, "Go help Mom in the kitchen Abigail."
She frowned and slowly stood back up. She walked towards the door, then back at Chiya, "I'm sorry…" she muttered softly.
Robert nodded at her as she left the room. He rubbed Chiya's shoulders and sighed. Chiya turned her head towards Robert with a quivering frown.
"Why are you punishing Abby?"
"Because, she should've known better than to mess with your emotions before such a big game. Mind you, this is a tournament game. If you lose this you're team's done for the season."
Chiya groaned once more, she slammed her face into her pillow and shook negatively, "Everyone's gonna' make fun of me tonight…"
"The heck they are!" he forced Chiya onto her rear and looked her in the eyes, "You just throw out the threats. If they want to talk about your love life, you tell them that you're gonna' throw the game."
Chiya grunted, "B- but-"
"You are without a doubt the MVP of your team. Now yes, all players are equal on the field; but I think God blessed you with a talented foot for a reason."
Chiya nodded and dipped her head down sadly, "But what if David's at the game ton-"
"David!?"
Chiya widened her eyes, "Y- yes?"
"That same one from elementary?" Chiya nodded, "Hell no! I don't want you being around that kid!"
Chiya gasped and frowned, "But why not?"
"I've met his dad countless times. His dad is a womanizing sex addicted freak!"
"Dad!"
"This David guy just wants to take your virginity, I advise staying away from him." He poked her forehead and narrowed his eyes, "No daughter of mine will become some slut, I want you to find a good guy who likes you."
"But David-"
"Why can't you find a nice mechanic in the body shop? Mechanics make a lot here and are usually nice guys."
Chiya puckered her lips and shook negatively, "Ew, no. Mechanics are gross."
Robert shrugged at her and stood back up, "Stay away from that David, Chiya. As a father I merely want to protect you."
Chiya frowned but remained silent. Robert crossed his arms and sighed, "Now, we should get going. I'll drive."
The four were later driving to the tournament match. Chiya was in her white and blue soccer uniform, Abigail sat next to her with an excited look.
"I can't wait! Are you going to score a lot Chiya? Bring us to the semi-finals!"
Robert adjusted his glasses as they drove, "Of course Chiya will play well, Abigail. A Flower has never given up before, and Chiya is a big dreamer."
Fiona turned her head towards Abigail, "She'll do fine, dear."
Chiya was trembling with her heart beating frantically as they drove. She knew that everyone would be watching her, her entire town would be anticipating a good game. She looked down at her foot and swallowed nervously.
"Something still troubling you?"
Chiya widened her eyes and looked up at Robert, his head was slightly turned towards her. Chiya lowered her eyelids nervously and exhaled.
"What if I choke and lose us the game?"
The vehicle instantly became silent. Abigail looked out the window and dipped her head down nervously. Robert rubbed his chin and shrugged.
"Well, this is the first time in five years we've made it into the final tournament. So either way you've already helped Engelland achieve something great."
Fiona nodded, "You'll do fine, dear."
Robert looked back at Chiya and grinned, "Keep your team united, and you shall not fall. That's all you-"
"Deer!" Fiona panicked loudly.
Robert lowered his eyebrows and turned towards Fiona, "Hm?"
"Deer! Deer!"
Abigail gasped and grabbed Robert's shoulders, he turned his head and gasped loudly. He hit the brakes just in time. Chiya's eyes were quivering as a dear momentarily scampered away from the road. Everyone exhaled in relief, Robert looked over at Fiona and smirked.
"Thank you, dear."
Chiya later stood around her fellow players outside on the field. They stood together in a line, Chiya being the first one in line. Her eyes were quivering in shock at the large crowd. She swallowed nervously and dipped her head down.
Chiya's family were all sitting around on the bleachers, Abigail was bouncing up and down constantly. She was very eager to see the team of Engelland win and enter the semi-finals.
A loud speaker momentarily came on, and a patriotic song was played in the background.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending this tournament match against the school district of Engelland and New Ontario." The crowd began to clap loudly, some cheering as well, "To honor the fallen in the Patriotic War of Glory against the Federation Imperialists, we ask that you salute the Mysterian flag as we pray to the lord and father."
Chiya held her arm up patriotically towards the large Mysterian flag drooping down from the announcer's booth.
"Oh lord, we pray that you give mercy to the fallen who sacrificed themselves to defend the homeland from the imperialists of the Galactic Federation, and the warmongering Magican Empire. We ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoing done by the Mysterian people, and beg for mercy. In return we ask that the brainwashed drones who died fighting for the enemy receives mercy, while the Federation and Mysterian leaders may one day recognize their wrongdoing in the fiery pits that is Hell. Finally, we ask that you help preserve our planet's independence and protect the Proletarian regime of Mysteria from unlawful military coups. Praise the heavenly father, Amen."
Chiya dropped her hand down and looked back at the field; she let out a loud whistle and kicked her foot down a few times. Abigail continued to bounce up and down on her rear as the players were introduced. Robert momentarily got an irritated look and grabbed Abigail's shoulder—forcing her to stay seated.
"Chiya!"
Chiya widened her eyes as she evaded one of her opponents. The game had now been running for about forty minutes, the game was still 0 – 0. Chiya widened her eyes as the ball came flying towards her. She sprinted in front of her opponent and quickly stopped the ball. She now moved towards the net and stuck her tongue out in concentration. Chiya had already received a yellow card early in the game for unnecessary roughness; therefore she needed to play calmly.
She passed the ball over to her teammate and repositioned herself quickly. Chiya was being closely covered by her opponent. The girl Chiya had given the ball to kicked the ball towards the net. The goalie dropped down onto her knees and stopped the ball—however it bounced off of her and back onto the field. Chiya widened her eyes and ran to intercept the ball along with several other players. Chiya instantly became surrounded by two players, but she leapt into the air and hit the ball with her head. The ball bounced about three meters in front of her. Chiya quickly got her foot out of the bunch and managed to pass the ball back to her teammate.
Chiya backed away from her opponents and got back into the same position as before. This time her teammate ran to the very end of the field and kicked the ball high into the air towards Chiya. The crowd began to shout as the ball descended back down to the ground. Chiya caught the ball with her foot and gritted her teeth as she kicked it slightly up into the air towards the net. The goalee jumped in the air to block the ball, but it slipped in between her head and arm.
"Go-oal!"
Chiya beamed as the crowd began to cheer loudly. The players all began to reposition themselves on the field as it was now 1 – 0. Abigail jumped up and flailed her hands into the air gleefully.
"Ya-ay Chiya! Ya-ay!"
Robert grabbed her arm and brought her back down, "That'll do, Abigail."
Later in the game Chiya found herself exhausted. She rubbed her forehead as she waited for her next best moment to attack. The score was still 1 – 0 and 88 minutes had gone by. Her team was winning, but barely. A common scenario in the sport of soccer. Chiya mostly feared the idea of the two teams tying, as they would need to play an overtime match. Since they were in the tournament ties were not allowed.
Abigail was biting on her fingers frantically, she looked at Robert with twitching eyebrows, "Chiya must be so scared right now…"
Robert nodded, "She could run down the clock if she could just gain hold of the ball again. But first they need to gain possession of it."
Chiya bit her lip as the ball went back and forth between opposing players. Chiya was caught in-between a few of the players. Chiya studied the eyes of the girl holding the ball—her eyes kept veering towards the girl next to Chiya. That ball's coming my way… she predicted cautiously. And she was right. The girl passed the ball towards the two, but Chiya had planned for this and leapt in front of her—intercepting it.
The Engelland fans all cheered as Chiya immediately ran to the opposing side with the ball. She gritted her teeth with the wind blowing across her face as she ran. She evaded several opponents and continued up the field on her own.
Robert grunted and widened his eyes, "Wh- what's she doing? No Chiya! Pass the ball! Pass the ball!"
Chiya was being a ball hog, deciding to keep possession of the ball. There were many more opened players, but Chiya was determined to do everything on her own. Chiya had missed her opportunity as her teammates quickly got covered by opponents.
Robert face palmed, "Bloody Hell, Chiya…"
Fiona crossed her fingers together, "She's fine Robert. She'll pass the ball in time…"
Robert flailed his hand in the air, "If this is what the coach is teaching my girl, I'm gonna' raise a piece of Hell with him!"
Chiya finally reached the net again and found that her teammate was available, so she kicked the ball over to her instead. Robert exhaled and nodded approvingly at Chiya. Her teammate caught the ball with her foot and fired it at the goalie. The ball struck the goalie in the chest and knocked her down onto the floor.
"Chiya!" Abigail shouted as the ball bounced towards her quickly.
Chiya was instantly getting rushed by three players, but regardless, she leapt up in the air and forced the ball down. She attempted to evade the players as the goalie got back on her knees. She instantly found herself cornered and did a very sharp kick. Chiya's eyes shot open as she instantly fell to the ground, she grabbed her foot and gritted her teeth.
"O-ow!" she screamed loudly.
Fortunately, the ball had easily gone right into the net. Engelland ended up winning 2 – 0.
The crowd cheered loudly as Engelland would be going to the semi-finals. Abigail leapt up and began cheering loudly, Robert was proudly chuckling, but he momentarily grunted nervously as he spotted Chiya lying on the ground.
Chiya tightly closed her eyes and exhaled loudly. She could still move her foot, but a very sharp pain would occur whenever she did so. She slowly got on her rear as everyone left her behind, she touched her foot and grunted once more.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch!" she shouted aloud.
The four later went driving along the streets. Chiya and Abigail were once again sitting next to each other; Chiya had her foot down in a tray of ice cubes. Robert smirked and looked back at Chiya.
"Great game Chiya."
She smiled back at him and nodded, "Thank God the next game isn't for two weeks. This foot sprain is gonna' take some time to heal."
"Just be careful walking. That foot will likely twist more often, so take slow steps for the first few days."
Chiya nodded and sighed, "I got us two points, I can't believe no one came to help me right away…"
Abigail looked down at the tray and raised an eyebrow, she went down and poked Chiya's toe.
"I think you're swelling."
Chiya slapped her hand away and growled loudly, "Stay away from my bloody feet!"
Fiona was reading a book as they drove, "Oh, calm down and let Abby touch your foot, dear."
Chiya glared at Fiona, "What!?"
Robert looked back at Chiya, "-or would you prefer to just cast up your foot? It'd heal faster."
Chiya rubbed her chin and shrugged, "Nah. I just wish my kicking foot wasn't what got injured. What if I never kick well again?"
Robert chuckled, "As soon as your foot heals, we'll practice. Practice, practice, practice."
Abigail beamed, "Can I be the one blocking her this time?"
Robert shook negatively, "No, you're more helpful as a goalie."
"Let Abby be a defensive-"
"Dammit woman, stop patronizing everything I'm against."
Fiona rolled her eyes and continued to read. The three continued to drive, but Abigail and Chiya both widened their eyes as they came into a fast-food drive through. Chiya and Abigail both gasped excitedly, Robert began to chuckle.
"We're getting fast food!? We can afford it!?"
Robert nodded, "I checked our balance, and I think we can all afford to get one thing."
Abigail and Chiya both began to bounce excitedly in their seats. Not only was the Flower family too poor to afford things, but the terrible economy left fast food restaurants with very expensive items. This was merely so the establishment could pay their workers equally while still upkeeping the business.
"I want french-fries!" Chiya announced loudly.
"Burger!"
"Vanilla shake!"
"Chocolate m-"
Robert swung his head back and smirked, "One thing!"
Chiya nodded at him and lifted her finger up, "French-fries."
"I'll have a salad," said Fiona.
Abigail bit on her lip and rubbed her forehead, "Um-m, um-m…" Robert had an impatient look, "I'll ha-ave, um-m, I'll have fries too."
Robert nodded, "Alright."
The three were now driving back home, both Chiya and Abigail had already eaten. Fiona was saving her food for later, and Robert hadn't ordered anything. Abigail swung herself towards Chiya and smiled.
"Wanna' watch the military approve F-Zero TV with me when we get home?"
Chiya smirked and shook negatively, "Not tonight, I'm heading off to a pa-a-" she widened her eyes as Robert slowly turned towards her.
"A pa-what?"
Chiya's eyes were quivering nervously, she slowly dipped her head down and rubbed the back of her head, "…a party…"
"No."
Chiya gasped and widened her eyes, "B- but Dad! All of my friends are gonna' be there!"
"Exactly my point. I greatly dislike all of your delinquent friends."
"But I won the big game all by myself!"
Robert growled and pointed at her, "You won as a team!"
Chiya constantly flailed her hands in the air while whining, "But I want to fit in! I need to go to this party or they'll think I'm boring!"
Robert shook negatively and glanced over at Fiona, he raised an eyebrow, "I presume you're going to disagree with me?"
Fiona shook negatively, "I agree with your dad. Drinking, drugs, and sex all occur at parties. I would be greatly disappointed if you came back having experienced any of these things."
"It's illegal to drink alcohol at my age, I wouldn't do it!"
Robert sighed, "I'm sorry Chiya. You did a great job today, but there's no way we're letting you go to a high school party." He looked back at Chiya's foot and nodded, "Besides, you can hardly walk."
Chiya crossed her arms and pouted loudly, "Not fair!"
Chiya and Abigail later sat around in their bedroom watching F-Zero TV—which was edited by the Mysterian government. Any mentioning of the Federation or negative comments about Mysteria was cut out. Abigail laid on her belly while looking down at a signed autograph from Dr. Stewart. She had a dreamy look on her face as she stared at the fairly young man.
"Do you think Dr. Stewart would-"
Chiya groaned loudly and flipped onto her back. Abigail raised an eyebrow at her. The room was completely dark except for the television's bloom.
"What's wrong?"
Chiya continued to lay on her back in frustration, "That party is going on right now, I should be there, not here."
Abigail frowned and nodded, "Our parents just don't get us teens. All they ever think about is how every guy wants to have sex with us and give us alcohol."
Chiya turned her head and groaned loudly again, "David's there, I really wanted to ask him out today. It would be the perfect timing since I'm the hero today…"
Abigail gasped and got up, "David's there!?"
Chiya nodded, "It was supposed to be perfect. Tonight was supposed to be a really romantic-"
Abigail grabbed Chiya by the shoulders and got a serious look, "You have to go."
"But I can't, I'll probably be grounded if-"
"Who cares! If you go there, get a nice boyfriend, and come back without problems—then Dad will let it go."
Chiya rubbed her chin and hummed, "But how would I get out of the house unseen?"
Abigail blinked at her a few times.
"Da-ad!"
Robert and Fiona both immediately ran out of the kitchen with panicked looks. They ran up to Abigail and looked her in the eys.
"What is it Abby?" asked Fiona.
Abigail scratched her neck and gritted her teeth, "I heard something up in the attic. I think we have rats!"
Robert narrowed his eyes and quirked his mouth, "…rats…" he muttered hostilely.
Fiona turned her head towards Robert, "Do we still have rodent spray?"
"I don't need it. I can take care of these things myself…" he said as he walked into the main hallway.
Abigail looked back into the kitchen and squinted, she could see the red lights of the family vehicle turn on out the window. She smiled and cleared her throat.
"Me and Chiya are going to check for lumps. Knock before entering please."
Robert nodded at her as he lifted open a ceiling panel.
Chiya parked the vehicle at a moderately sized house in the country about five minutes later. She had simply walked into the house without knocking, her ears immediately rang from the loud music and chattering. She widened her eyes and looked around at all of the people in the house. However she was disturbed to find that there were adults in the house as well. She scratched her neck and walked towards the living room.
Chiya's best friend, Trisha, was mingling in the living room. She had black hair and somewhat of a scrawny body. Chiya approached her and slapped her cheek a few times. Trisha grinned at her and began to laugh.
"I thought you were gonna' be a no show!"
Chiya rolled her eyes and shook negatively, "Nah."
"Your dad is such an ass, I figured that he'd stop you."
Chiya rubbed her arm and dipped her head down, "Yeah…"
Chiya was momentarily given a beverage by Trisha, she smirked at her, "There you go Ms. Superstar player!"
"What is this..?"
Trisha shrugged, "My dad has a beer cellar."
Chiya gasped and handed her back the glass, "We can't drink alcohol!"
"Who's gonna' know, Jesus…"
Chiya put her hand on Trisha's shoulder with a stern look, "Trisha, people have been taken away by the government for underage drinking…"
"No one's gonna' find out Chiya!"
Chiya lowered her eyebrows, "Yeah, but…"
Another girl grabbed Chiya by the shoulders and giggled, "I know why you ca-ame…"
Chiya widened her eyes and swallowed nervously, "I- I wanted to party!"
Trisha punched her arm and turned her towards a door, "Your body is ready for it, go get him!"
Chiya gasped, "Get- wait, what?"
"That's the private room of the house, where couples go bang."
"L- like, head bang, to music?"
Trisha punched Chiya's arm again and laughed, "Oh come on, you came here for David."
Chiya gasped, "Not true! I didn't even know he was here!"
"Everybody knows that love letter was from you."
Chiya turned towards Trisha with a quivering stare, "What?"
"Nobody else writes in purple, of course it was you."
Chiya blushed and dipped her head down, "Oh…"
"Hey, he'll drill you if you go ask."
Chiya grunted and shook negatively, "B- but I don't want to be—drilled…"
"Come on, we all have. Even I have, and it was awesome!"
Chiya swallowed nervously, "But you're not supposed to do that stuff until you're eighteen!"
"He is eighteen."
"I'm not!"
Trisha lowered her eyebrows at Chiya and chuckled, "Stop being a big baby Chiya and go get plowed by your crush."
Chiya closed her eyes tightly and shook negatively, "I don't want to! I'd be losing something special and letting down my dad!"
Trisha laughed at the word special, "Why are you such a brick?"
"I am no brick!" she tapped her fingertips together a few times and smiled faintly, "I- I was just hoping that maybe, we could kiss a little…"
"Sex is better."
Chiya growled, "Yeah, well I don't wanna' do that. If you think I'm not cool because I don't wanna' throw my virginity away like a piece of trash. That's fine by me!"
Trisha lowered her eyebrows at Chiya and chuckled, "Chiya, don't do it if you don't wanna. I'm just trying to-"
Both girls widened their eyes at the sound of a siren approaching, Chiya gasped and looked out the window. A man opened the curtains and grunted.
"It's the cops!"
Chiya gasped loudly, Trisha widened her eyes in shock—as she was the party host. Trisha grabbed Chiya and gritted her teeth.
"Help me!"
Chiya nodded at her with a frantic look, beginning to hyperventilate, "Okay! Hold on!" she said as she ran off.
In all actuality, Chiya merely ran out the back door. She grunted in pain as she twisted her foot a few times—but she had no plans of being arrested. She left the family vehicle behind as she ran through a field. She looked back and found that several military cruisers formed around the house. Mysteria didn't have police units, they merely used the military as their policing units.
Chiya gritted her teeth as she continued to run. Her house wasn't very far from Trisha's.
Much later in the night, Chiya was lying in bed with her blanket over her head. Abigail was sitting at a desk doing homework, as she was instructed to do so on Friday nights. Chiya had a distraught look on her face while trembling immensely. I left the car at the scene, and went to the party without permission. I'm in so much trouble… Chiya tightly closed her eyes while trembling, cursing herself for going to the party. She could had simply took the soccer win and remain at home as an Engelland High School hero, but instead she put herself in hot water by going to an illegal party. Chiya shook her head constantly and curled up into a ball. I just want this all to go away, please God, just let me get off the hook..!
A knocking at the door could suddenly be heard, Chiya's heart began to beat constantly in absolute fear. It was far past Robert and Fiona's usual bedtime. Abigail sighed and looked at the door.
"Come in."
Chiya cringed and began to pout. Robert momentarily entered the room without saying anything. He looked over at Abigail and pointed at the door.
"Abigail, please leave for a moment."
Abigail nodded at him and put her pencil down. She walked past Robert and left without closing the door. Robert closed the door gently and looked over at Chiya. She was trying to act as if she were sleeping.
"I know you're not sleeping Chiya," Chiya widened her eyes and began to tremble, "You never fall asleep with a covered head."
Chiya sighed and slowly moved the blanket off of her head. She looked at him with watery eyes, "I'm just trying something new…"
Robert quirked his mouth and sighed. He kicked his foot down and crossed his arms, "I just wanted to know how you're feeling, since I kept you from going to that party…"
Chiya widened her eyes and swallowed nervously, "Oh, um, I understand perfectly. The party was probably stupid anyways."
Robert nodded at her, "Do you think you'd go to any other high school parties?"
Chiya shook negatively instantly, "No, no parties. I much prefer staying here with Abby!"
Robert closed his eyes and nodded, "I see. That's good, your sister desperately needs a friend, and you're the best she has."
"I promise Dad, I will never, ever, go to a high school party. I can just stay here and party with Abby."
Robert nodded at her and turned back towards the door, "Alright, good-night Chiya. I love you."
Chiya smiled at him and nodded, "I know, I love you too…"
Robert stopped by the door and smirked back at her slowly, "Go pick the car up from the police station first thing in the morning."
Chiya's smile instantly faded away as her eyes widened. She grunted then closed her eyes in shame. She nodded at him and dropped her hands onto her lap.
"Y- yes, of course…"
Robert inched his finger out towards Abigail, allowing her back in. He left the room off to bed. Chiya continued to stare at the door for a few moments. She momentarily looked over at a photo of Captain Falcon on her wall and exhaled passionately. She laid her head back into her pillow and smiled as she departed into a slumber.
