Third Person POV
The afternoon came, which means it was time for another hero training session.
"Today's training will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you." Said Aizawa.
This got everyone by surprise. Most likely due to the break in.
"Sir! What kind of training is this?" Asked Sero.
Aizawa then held out a card that said "RESCUE" on it. "Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that."
"Disasters huh?" Sounds like we're in for a big workout."
"Totally!"
"Real hero stuff. This is what separates the men from the boys. I'm shaken with excitement!"
"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in water. Ribbit."
"What do you think Ryoichi, are you excited for this?" Momo asked.
"Yeah actually. Maybe I can test my quirk in fire disasters or in thunderstorms. And hey, maybe we can try out my swinging."
Momo looked curious from his statement. "Your 'swinging'?"
"Yeah, you know, my web shooters. I could actually swing around using them… probably." Ryoichi theorized.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Aizawa glared at the class as they quieted down. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about your costumes... but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. This special training is at an off-campus facility, so we'll be taking the bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready."
Everyone got up with their costumes and went to the locker rooms to change into them.
"Say Ryoichi, I gotta know." Akio spoke up. "You have a quirk, a strong one at that, yet you have those web shooter thingies. Why do you still use them?" Akio asked.
"Yeah, you're pretty strong here. Why have those things anyways?" Josuke asked as well.
"Oh, these things?" Ryoichi said as he put his web shooters on. "Honestly… I just made these for fun, cause why not? These do help me with some situations, but mostly, I just randomly thought of making these, and so I did." He answered them.
"Hm. You're one interesting guy, you know that?" Said Josuke.
"Coming from the guy who always has a lollipop with him all the time. I'd say that's interesting." Ryoichi said with a chuckle.
"I find these sweets to be very tasty thank you." Josuke said as he popped another lollipop into mouth and left the locker room. Just as he was about to meet his classmates out on the front, he accidentally bumped into someone and fell down. "Ow, ow… maybe I shouldn't really walk with my eyes closed…"
"That's some great advice for yourself, don'tcha think?" A voice spoke, sounding feminine.
Josuke opened his eyes as he looked up to see another UA student that was a girl, and they had long dark green curly hair, with their eyes matching it. Also, Josuke could've sworn he saw they had sharp teeth as well.
"You need help or are you going to sit there?" They said a bit jokingly as they were offering him some help.
"Oh, sorry about that." Josuke said and was lifted off the ground. "I kinda tend to doze off sometimes."
"That's fair. We all kinda do that sometimes, don't you think?"
"Heh, yeah." Josuke chuckled at their statement.
"Anyways, I would stay and chat, but you have a trip with your class right? You don't wanna be late or left behind, so I'll get out of your hair for now. See ya!" They said before running back to class.
"Hey, wait!" Josuke tried to reach out to them, but they were already gone. He stared at her down the hallway, getting lost in his thoughts. He stood there before his friends brought him back.
"Hey, the bus is leaving soon. Don't want you to get left behind and get scolded by Mr. Aizawa later." Akio told him.
"R-right." Josuke said and caught up with them.
While they waited outside, the boys were talking with each other about the trip. As they were chatting, Ryoichi noticed Momo and waved at her to come talk with him. She noticed him and was walking towards them, but was then stopped by Jiro all of sudden. The two were confused for a moment before Momo went with Jiro and she told him she'll talk to him later. Ryoichi was disheartened for a bit until he shook it off, but this didn't go unnoticed by his two comrades.
"You do know staring won't help you in any way right?"
"Huh?"
"Oh come on, Ryoichi. We know how you feel for Yaoyorozu. It's kinda obvious at this point."
Ryoichi became flustered and shushed the two. "It's not like that! And will you two keep it down?"
"Oh sure, but why do you want us to be so quiet? Hmmm?" Josuke said with a smug face.
"…I hate you guys…"
"Hey, we're just joking around with you. Your secret is safe with us" Akio told him as he gestured in sealing his lips.
Ryoichi was hesitant, mostly with his "secret". He's been questioning his current feelings, if they were or real or not, and what is it when it came to being around-
Suddenly Iida blew a whistle to get everyone's attention. "Gather around, Class 1-A! Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently."
"Iida's kicking it into high gear as class rep huh?" Said Izuku.
Everyone got on the bus, unfortunately the bus was just a city bus so they just sat wherever they wanted to. Ryoichi sat next to Jiro listening to music.
"This bus' open layout ruined my boarding strategy…" Iida said in defeat.
"Iida, you really need to chill." Said Mina.
"Yeah, you're our class rep, not the Prime Minister of Japan."
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say... about you, actually." Tsuyu was referring to Izuku.
"About me? What is it, Asui?"
"I told you to call me 'Tsu'."
"O-oh. Yeah, right."
"That power of yours, isn't it a lot like All Might's?"
Before Izuku could answer, Josuke intervened, coincidentally preventing suspicion of his quirk. "True, but you forget that All Might doesn't hurt himself whenever he uses it."
"I was thinking the same thing." Kirishima agreed with him. "Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple augmenting-type a' quirk. You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it. My Hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."
"Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking. You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that." Izuku compliments Kirishima's Hardening.
"You really think so? Seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had something flashier."
"My psychokinesis could be flashy. It's awesome to lift things with your mind." Said Josuke.
"I believe my navel laser would happen to be flashier." Aoyama said with some sparkles.
"But it's lame if it gives you a headache, and a stomachache." Mina called the two out as they looked down in embarrassment.
"Well, if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's Akatani, Mendez, Todoroki and Bakugo."
"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular." Said Tsuyu, mocking him.
"What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!" Bakugo barked at her.
"Ya see?" Tsuyu proved her point.
"Y'know we basically just met you. So it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari joined in.
"You're gonna regret the day you applied to school you loser!"
Between all of this, Ryoichi only turned his music up to ignore the noise, along with Jiro following suit. Oddly, she was smiling at something, more specifically like she was laughing at something.
"You dummy. It's not even that funny but still..!" Jiro was thinking as she held her laughter.
Soon, they arrived at the place. As soon as they got off, they were greeted by a hero in a puffy white costume. "Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you!"
"It's the space hero, Thirteen! The chivalrous pro who's rescued a ton of people from disasters across the world!" Said Izuku with excitement.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're the hero nerd or is it me." Ryoichi said with a chuckle.
"Thirteen is one of my favorite heroes!" Said Uraraka.
"Mine too!" Said Josuke.
They gasped as they looked at each other.
"Thirteen's also your favorite?"
"And yours? Oh we have so much to talk about after this!" Josuke exclaimed with excitement.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen showed joy for the class
"This is gonna be awesome!"
Instant karma.
As everyone entered the building, they all gasped in excitement at the site of the enormous building.
"Holy crap! It's like some kind of amusement park!"
"A shipwreck. A landslide. A fire. A sandstorm Et cetera- I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But, you can call it, USJ!" Said Thirteen.
"Just like Universal Studios Japan."
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already? Let me guess, he booked an interview instead."
Thirteen went to Aizawa to talk about something so the students couldn't hear them.
"If All Might's not here…" Ryoichi was thinking.
"That could mean he probably used too much energy... We should be fine." Akio thought with hope.
"The clock's ticking. We should get started." Said Aizawa.
"Excellent. Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five." Thirteen was going on the rules for a bit
"We get it!"
"Listen carefully. I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called 'Black Hole.' I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust."
"Yeah, you used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters, didn't you?" Asked Izuku.
"That's true, but my quirk could also very easily be used to kill. Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous." Thirteen started to explain. "In our superhuman society, all quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone. Thanks to Aizawa's fitness test, you have a solid idea of your quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today, you're going to learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others. That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening."
Everyone cheered for Thirteen's speech. Just as things were about to get started Ryoichi suddenly felt off about something. His expression became uneased and Momo noticed this.
"Is everything alright?" Momo asked him.
"No... Something's not right. I can hear some ringing in my ears…"
"That's probably the zones. I'm sure it's-"
The lights suddenly went off and the fountain kept turning off and on. A black spiral appeared in front of it until it grew larger and someone came through it. It was a person that had blue hair and lots of hands around him.
"This can't be good!" Ryoichi thought and got a bit defensive.
"Stay together and don't move! Thirteen. Protect the students!"
"Woah, what is that thing?"
The mist grew larger, and more people came out of it. They oddly looked more menacing, and didn't look like they were some extra staff from UA.
"Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people."
"Umm, I don't think this is part of the training." Josuke said with unease.
"Stay back!" Aizawa shouted as the class looked to see Aizawa put on his goggles, meaning this is serious. "This is real. Those are villains!"
Everyone gasped as those were actual villains that broke in and were approaching them. From that moment, they understood what the pros had to face in the field, and now? Now they're best hope was to pray and hope they all make it out alive.
