Daughter Of Batman 2 Prologue
Winter has officially come to Gotham and with it has come many changes. Specifically, those matters in the Wayne household.
And by changes, I mean two new additions that were brought into the fold.
Twins Damian and Danika.
Biological daughter and son to Bruce Wayne, infamous philanthropist and billionaire playboy…
And Gotham's very own Dark Knight as the famed Batman.
Not too long ago the twins were brought into his life by their mother, Talia al Ghul, who deprives their father of knowing them for the first few years of their lives.
More like denied the privilege of being informed about the knowledge on their existence in the first place.
Let's be real here. If Bruce had learned of Talia's pregnancy and their birth from the start he more than likely would've immediately claimed them.
Bruce hasn't exactly approved of the League of Shadows and their goals for morphing the world.
The reason why Talia had taken them to him is that they'd been in grave danger so long as they were with her. One of the League's strongholds was attacked, led by an irate excommunicated member. The assault resulted in Ra's al Ghul's demise, leaving the League of Shadows and those remaining family members vulnerable. The legacy from all sides is jeopardized. So Talia gave in after seeing no other alternative to keeping the children safe.
So while she's left to deal with Deathstroke and his faction the twins were, for the first time, left in their father's care.
Yeah, that was an awkward meeting.
Bruce took them into his house. Observing them closely Bruce discovers that while they may certainly share his blood, they share entirely different personalities.
Damian is the exact image Bruce was at that age, natural resemblance striking, except for the eyes, but his nature contrasts with his own immensely. Quite often the two are butting heads with how Damian idolizes the methods and ways of the League of Shadows. Danika is far more gentle, soft-spoken, and compliant compared to her brother's arrogant, reckless, ignorant, impulsive, and obnoxious attitude.
But Danika carried a secret deep inside her.
Ancient mythological powers belonging to the legendary fabled Moonstone and Sundrop.
One granting life and the other death.
Upon witnessing the effects of both Bruce forbade Danika from ever using the Moonstone's magic again.
A subject still up for debate.
When the danger had passed with Deathstroke and his followers out of the picture there was an issue that needed to be settled right away.
Custody of the twins.
Talia initially wanted to take back her children, but Bruce was deadset against the idea. He doesn't want them to be influenced by the corruption that lies within the organization. Saying that because Damian has taken up the name Robin and Danika is now Lunar Rose in Gotham that they should stay with him.
Talia eventually concedes, not bothering to renegotiate with him, but makes it clear before departing that she would be back for them.
The twins have been under their father's tutelage since then.
Both are thriving but in different ways.
Damian keeps constantly challenging the established unofficial hierarchy within Wayne Manor which causes him to be at odds often with Bruce, clearly intent on making things difficult. The boy is still clinging to the way of life instilled in him by his mother and grandfather. Danika is adaptable and compliant, open to new ideas and ways of thinking that are preferable to Bruce. This earns her Bruce's favor and is a favorite of Alfred. Not surprising since she often goes to Alfred to assist him with upkeep around the house and inquires about stories from this side of the family.
They're pretty good ones, too.
Right now nothing big has happened to bring this all to a head and warrant any serious interference.
Until now that is and it all starts with a list of recently missing children that have been slowly building up.
It's on this night when Bruce, Damian, and Danika go to confront the person responsible that everything changes.
Authors Note:
Happy New Year! Told you guys I'd have this up for you by then. Ha Ha!
Just a heads up to those of you who aren't aware of this yet, Email alerts for this website are now only active if Email opts is enabled in account settings.
By the way whose been watching House of the Dragon? I am so in love with Prince Daemon. He is a dream. Matt Smith was the perfect person to play that character. Similar to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool no one could've done it better.
I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D
By the way, sorry for this sequel being a longtime coming in the making. It's been long overdue in many opinions, not just my own. I hope this answers the questions some of you have if Danika's character was going to be put in with the other movies in the series or not. She is going to be in most of them, but the ones that don't include her are still up in the air. I may put her in them while, at the same time, I may not. It's up for debate.
For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.
Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure.
