Monday Night RAW was in Los Angeles, California, and RAW opened with a live shot inside the Staples Center as WWE RAW General Manager Kurt Angle made his way to the ring, while the crowd, respectfully sang "You Suck" to the tune of his music. Angle entered the ring, welcomed the WWE Universe to the show, and said, "We will have a great show tonight. We'll see Cesaro and Sheamus defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. Based on what occurred, we will have an Intercontinental Championship match with The Miz.
Jason Jordan's music hits. Kurt Angle's son makes his way to the ring to loud boos; Jordan's left knee is taped up. Jordan tries to speak, but the crowd drowns him out.
Jordan says, "He wants The Miz."
Angle says, "He can't be serious. His knee is still taped up."
Jordan says, "His knee is fine, and he can do this. Ever since he's been in the ring on RAW, he's been in here with Roman Reigns, John Cena, Braun Strowman, Kane, and The Miz. He's held his own with each of them."
Jordan says, "He wants to step up because he knows he can beat The Miz."
Jordan sheepishly says, "I just need a chance, Dad."
The Miz's music hits, and he comes out to a very good reception. The WWE Intercontinental Champion makes his way to the ring and gets in the ring.
The Miz said, "Angle who he's fighting, and it's not going to be his son."
The Miz gives advice to Jordan: if he wants an opportunity, don't run to Daddy. Step up, and be a man.
Jordan says, "You are the poster boy for everything the WWE Management wants because you are John Cena's younger brother."
The Miz said, "He's right about one thing: I am John Cena's younger brother, but like my brother, I've earned my spot, just like my brother. I've worked harder because I am John Cena's younger brother for 11 years straight now. If Jordan wants something, he's not just going to get it. Jordan can step up, and try to take it."
Roman Reigns' music hits, and out he comes, but he is nailed from behind by Samoa Joe, and they brawl on the ramp way, as WWE Officials come out and try to separate them while in the ring, Jordan and Miz face off.
Jordan says, "He doesn't have to try to talk tough. Unlike Joe, he actually is tough, because he doesn't have to go out, and attack people from behind."
Jordan and Miz are staring at each other, Miz taunts Jordan with the Intercontinental Title as Angle orders Jordan not to do anything, but Jordan doesn't listen and attacks Miz and the WWE Universe boo him. Miz fights back and unloads on Jordan, knocking him out of the ring, and Angle quickly exits the ring and holds Jordan back. Miz again taunted Jordan from the ring, to come and get some. Jordan tried to get back in the ring, but Angle held him back, and Miz continued to taunt him. Jordan begs Angle to make the match, and against his better judgment, Angle grants Jordan's request.
"Angle is not thinking here," Corey Graves said.
"I have to agree with you. Corey Angle fails to realize that Title Match are earned not by begging to the General Manager who happens to be his father," Michael Cole said.
The referee signaled for the ring as Miz hit the ropes and drove through the ropes, knocking down the General Manager and Jason Jordan to roar from the WWE Universe. Jordan fights up to his feet and tries for a fireman's carry takedown, but Miz holds onto the armbar. Miz and Jordan tangle on the mat, until Jordan tries to power Miz up for a vertical suplex, but Miz blocks the suplex and counters with a swinging neckbreaker.
Miz covers Jordan for a two counts. Jordan rolls over to the ropes, and Miz waits for him to get up. Miz goes over as Jordan stands up on the apron, and Miz nails him shoulder to the guts and then slides out of the ring through Jordan's leg and then trips him Jordan, hitting his face on the apron.
Jordan came back with a cheap shot to the eye, tossed Miz back inside the ring, and followed him back in. Jordan goes for Northern Light Suplex, but Miz kicks out at one-and-a-half count, as the WWE Universe cheers him on. Jordan beats on Miz until Miz rolls out of the other ring for a breather, but Jordan follows and begins beating on him outside of the call. Jordan tosses Miz back into the ring and re-enters the ring, but Miz kicks him, and sends him back into the corner where he began stomping him in the corner.
WWE Universe chants "What?" as Miz stomps Jordan in the corner. Miz grabs him, then, whips across the ring into the opposite corner, follows him with a corner clothesline, and then climbs up to the top. Miz waits for Jordan to get up and then leaps off, and nails a double axe handle smash. He covers Jordan for a two counts. Miz keeps Jordan grounded now. Jordan begins to fight back up to his feet. Jordan fights out of the holds, but Miz cuts him off, with DDT, and covers him for two counts. Jordan fights back, and tools Miss across the ring as the WWE Universe him; Jordan gets up first, undoes, and covers him for two counts. Jordan hits a pair of suplexes and holds the second for two counts. Jordan catches him in a crossface submission, but Miz didn't tap out, and fights to get to the ring, and reaches for the bottom rope, but Jordan tightens the hold. Still, Miz can grab the rope, forcing a breath referee count as Jordan refuses to let go, and the referee warns him.
Jordan finally let go and got in the referee's face, yelling at him as Miz pulled himself up in the corner. Jordan charged him in the corner, but Miz moved out of the way as Jordan went shoulder-first into the ringpost. Jordan ends up with the apron. Miz goes over to the ropes and waits for Jordan to get to his feet, and when he does, Miz, with a forearm shot to the face, climbs the ropes; everyone is wondering what he is going to do.
"What is Miz going to do?" Michael Cole asked
"I have no clue, Michael," Corey Graves responded.
Miz hooked up Jordan's vertical suplex from the apron while standing on the second rope inside the ring.
"No way! No freaking way that Miz can lift Jordan up." Michael Cole said.
Miz lifted Jordan up into a vertical suplex, "Looking at the power by the Miz," Corey Graves said, stunned.
"A deadlift superplex from the second rope," Michael Cole stated
Miz drops backward, knocking the air out of Jordan, and covers him as the referee counts one…two…. Three then signal for the bell.
The ring announcer "Here is the winner, The Miz!" as the WWE Universe erupted into cheers that Miz beat Jason Jordan.

He doesn't want people to think he's playing favorites.
"Too late for that Angle; everyone knows that you are playing favorites," Khloe said, watching with her sibling.
Stephen, J.J., and Sophia are laughing.
Jordan starts begging about it, and Anlge finally says he'll take it under advisement."
