A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 3 Chapter 6

The information Harry has gathered after accidentally eavesdropping on a private conversation between Mr. and Mrs. Weasley is potentially mindblowing.

Bailey can hardly believe it. Harry really can't seem to catch a break.

Sirius Black is after Harry and his purpose for breaking out of Azkaban is because he's deadest on killing Harry. It was reported that Sirius Black had been mumbling in a deranged manner in that cell for a while beforehand that someone was at Hogwarts repeatedly. While the identity of his target was never clarified many assume that it can only mean Harry.

Who else could it be?

Bailey can't believe that her boy can never seem to catch a break and have a normal school year. First, it was Quirrell and that debacle with the Chamber of Secrets in the previous term.

Now it's this Sirius Black person.

Well, that does explain why Fudge went so easy on Harry when he intercepted them off the Knight Bus. He was more or less relieved to see Harry alive and unharmed which is the main reason why her boy wasn't treated too harshly and simply punished with restriction to Diagon Alley and the Leaky Cauldron. Something that wasn't really a punishment at all more like a hidden security measure where he'd be under the eye of countless witches and wizards. Out of danger and in a safe place.

On the contrary, despite the hundreds of years of magical protections that have already been placed over it, Hogwarts has already been proven to be Sirius Black's main destination. No telling if he'll manage to break in or not since he's broken out of the supposedly inescapable Azkaban. These Azkaban guards Fudge has implemented at Hogwarts might not be enough because the man has snuck passed them before. He can easily do so again. Even with all of the Aurors scouring the countryside for any sign of him.

Sirius must definitely be out of his mind to even attempt such a feat with Dumbledore as Headmaster. Even Voldemort couldn't infiltrate on his own with him in charge. A monster deadest on extinguishing her boy's existence down to the last spark.

Harry and Bailey are lucky to have even gotten a few hours' sleep that night even with a wide awake Hedwig watching over them to make sure no horror unfolds in this safe space.

Bailey remains undaunted in her purpose and will ultimately continue in her duty to safeguard Harry at all costs.

Sirius Black has a death wish if he ever hopes to get passed her.

At Kings Cross the next day on platform 9 ¾'s Arthur Weasley ends up pulling Harry aside as everyone is rushing to load and board the train last minute. Bailey can guess what his intentions are and are proven correct when he starts to broach the subject on Sirius Black. Before he can manage to get too far into it Harry cuts him off saying that he overheard the conversation from the other night. Quickly recovering from the brief interlude of awkwardness created by this Arthur Weasley makes Harry promise to not go looking for trouble this year nor to go looking for Sirius Black under any circumstances. A bewildered Harry agrees to comply although Bailey doubts that'll actually do any good. No matter how hard Harry tries to avoid it trouble seems to find Harry wherever he goes. But she reckons it might be easier to deal with this year. This Sirius Black is a known murderer out to get him so there's no way Harry will find any purpose in seeking him out.

Harry and Bailey jump onto the train just as it starts to roll away onto the tracks. With the doors shut behind them Harry leads the way in walking down the cars in search of a compartment with available space.

Unfortunately, because they wasted so much time in getting on in the first place, a majority of the compartments are already occupied with no room to offer. They do end up locating one with just one passenger already seated. With little to no other options the group is left with no other alternative but to take it.

The compartment isn't entirely empty. There is already one occupant. A man, obviously not a student but still young, wearing an extremely shabby set of wizard's robes and light brown hair flecked with gray.

Concerned with how ill and exhausted he appears Bailey jumps onto the seat and goes over to give a sniff to check on him. He seems fine just tired. Bailey sneezes and shakes her heart with a startled look on her face as she stares at this man with wide eyes. For some reason, she can detect a canine's essence and presence from deep within his very being. It baffles Bailey for she can clearly see a man with no traces of a dog on him.

What on earth…?

Whispering, Harry said "Bailey, come here. Leave him alone."

Bailey reluctantly draws away to Harry's side.

Motioning with his chin toward the man asleep against the window, Ron said "Who do you suppose that is?"

Reading the name on the trunk above the man's head, Hermione said "Professor R.J. Lupin."

Dumbfounded, Ron said "You know everything. How is it she knows everything?"

Rolling her eyes, Hermione said "It's on his suitcase, Ronald."

"Oh," said Ron, ducking his head sheepishly.

Bailey's attention isn't on them, but, instead, her eyes are trained on Scabbers and where he's concealed inside Ron's pocket. No one else notices the flinch Scabbers gives off upon hearing that specific name. He even goes so far as to burrow deeper into the pocket to remain unseen.

Scabbers is scared to death even more so than usual and in comparison to how both she and Crookshanks contemptuously treat him whenever he makes the mistake of stepping into their line of sight.

Why would Scabbers be so terrified upon hearing what this guy's name is?

It's as if Scabbers has already encountered this particular person before. This would be impossible given he's lived the majority of his existence with the Weasleys in the countryside.

Bailey is stumped but she will continue to keep a very close eye on it. Count on that.

Casting a wary eye on Professor Lupin, Harry said "Do you think he's really asleep?"

"Seems to be. He didn't react to Bailey sniffing him. Why," asked Hermione.

Shutting the compartment door so that no one can listen in on what he has to say, Harry said "I've got to tell you something."

That something is far bigger than any of his friends could've imagined.

Authors Note:

For those of you on fanfiction I'm sure you've been facing the many unwanted ads when you're reading a story. Well, yesterday, I finally had enough, and I got an adblocker app. It worked! No more ads on any level! The one I got is Adblock Pro: Safari Ad Blocker. It really works. Just follow the instruction video that it attached to it.

Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of months ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.

When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in some way. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.

Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.

Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads if it is sent to you. But when it does you should definitely pressing the report abuse button and send it to the email that leads to the support staff that is available.

Just a heads up to those of you who aren't aware of this yet, Email alerts for this website are now only active if Email opts is enabled in account settings.

I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D

For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.

Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.

I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
