The four didn't say anything as Hiruzen waited for an answer. Looking at Tsume he decided he would get the answer out of her first.

"You're the one who came up with this so I'll ask you first. What do you plan to do with him? What is your plan to take care of him with all four of you volunteering?" Tsume thought for a moment as she looked at the others. They didn't seem to have an answer, or if they did they weren't showing they had one.

Looking back to Hiruzen, Tsume began to speak. "I only want to give him a good life sir. Nothing else. And as for how to take care of him, I will be treating him like he's one of my own. Though I don't know for the others."

"Me and Inochi would both treat him like our own as well. We also only want what's best for him." Shikaku said as they now all looked to Fugaku who had remained silent since he last spoke.

"I would do the same as well. Though I'm also doing this for my wife. She wants what's best for him more than maybe anyone else in this room and I want her to be happy much like her and Tsume want the same for the boy." He said in his usual tone.

Hiruzen looked at all of them and didn't see anything that said they were lying to him as he calmed a bit. "If that's the case then may I ask how you will take care of him. Who will have him and when?"

"I think it should be once a month he is given to one of us sir. That way he still has some sense of stability." Said Inochi.

"Do the rest of you agree to this?" Hiruzen asked. None of the others made any sort of rebuttal to this as he sighed. "If that is the case then who should keep him first?"

Tsume was ecstatic though she wouldn't show it. She was just about to volunteer as she noticed the others were watching her. And then she realized something. Stopping herself she remembered someone who wasn't here that wanted to see Naruto and realized they had done what she did. She looked to the others with her response. "I think Fugaku should have him first."

Everyone was shocked by that, even Fugaku who looked at her in surprise. "Why me?" He asked.

"Your wife did what I did but without the same protections I have. And while I hate to emit it. Mikoto and Kushina were always closer than I was to Kushina, even if only by a little. And I can always wait to see him." She said with a somewhat sad smile.

Fugaku gave a great full smile to her as he looked to the others. "If that's the case then I think Tsume should go after I."

"Agreed. I can take him next." Inochi said as Shikaku only looked bored.

"I'll take him last then. Though it will be troublesome." The others smiled at Shikaku's attempt to bring levity as Hiruzen spoke up.

"If that's the case then I will allow this. Though I will want to be updated on his condition and I would like for him to keep his name. And know he must be protected at all costs now. The other village's will begin to notice something about him and may target him. So I hope you will protect him as if he was your own child. Is that understood?" The other four nodded as he showed them out, sighing as he knew this would become very interesting.
