Idearing

The day keeps a comfortable temperature, and among the trees it feels even better. It's been a while since Kagome left home, she said she'd go look for some herbs and that I could meet her once I take care of the vegetable plot; I like to work the plot, it allows me to reverie and to focus. To wait for the seeds to sprout is an act of patience which at the beginning I thought I'd lack, but Kagome helped me find a way to canalize that sensation and I began to write a notebook, as she called it; In it I set about writing the development of each seed and plant. Actually, I could keep in my memory those very same developments, but to take the time to note down everything, helped me. That was one of Kagome's ideas.

As I walk through the forest I can catch her scent, as I've felt it the entire time since she left home. She knows how much I appreciate if she goes out alone, that she remains at a distance I can perceive her. And for when she strays a bit too far and knows I can't smell her, she even ideated a soft whistle she would sing every so often because she knows my capacity to hear her was higher than my smell.

Also, not long ago, she had the idea of going in the night to the hot spring and look at the sky from that place. The things we did in those waters are still vivid in my skin, and my cheeks grow hot when I recall them. I can't help but smile, I know what I feel right now is happiness, and I give my thanks that Kagome is in my life and I can share with her how happy she makes me.

I'm very close to her now and I stop, I can hear her, smell her and even listen to her. I probe my surroundings without being able to catch a glimpse of her, then I cast my gaze upwards to the top of a tree that roots by my side.

"What are you doing there?" I ask, when I see her standing on a branch which can barely support her weight.

I get ready to climb up, but she looks at me and gestures with her finger, indicating me to stay where I am. I hold my breath and observe what she is doing. The branch she steps on sways a little because of the wind, which despite being gentle is enough to shake the trees slightly. With one of her hands, she keeps herself from falling, and with the other she is placing a little bird that has just recently grow plumage. I listen to her whisper to the bird something about love and care, I see her smile. Then, she looks at me and her eyes seem illuminated by a light that doesn't come from outside, it's hers, and it's bright like the Sun.

"Are you ready?" She asks me.

"What?"

I see her throw herself, laughing, and for a moment I feel my blood run cold. I jump and catch her a few meters from the ground.

"What are you doing?" I hold her in my arms.

"Check an idea." Her smile widens.

That's how Kagome is, always restless, thinking, creating; Idearing.

Thank you for joining me in the adventure of creating
