Remix rushed out to look for his sister, and he found Carmine changed back to his normal look. He looked like he was just recovering from hitting his head.

"Carmine! Where's Magenta?" Remix asked, noting the room was a mess. "What happened in here?"

"Magenta got clavatized-agh!" Carmine winced and held his head. "She threw me against the wall and flew out of here on a silver treble clef."

"Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay?"

Remix helped Carmine to get to Gabby so she could kiss him and make him better. But, they had much bigger problems outside the palace.

Out in the town, Magenta, now Mare-Lody, was playing some of her K-Pop and J-Pop tunes. One of the most popular was called Ice Cream (Milkshake) (If you've watched Brooklyn 99, you may remember it from the Gina incident).

People seemed to like some of Mare-Lody's tunes, and some even danced to them.

"That's what I like to see." Mare-Lody smiled, doing some fancy moves. "You know you love me. You love my music."

But then, Mare-Lody stopped when she heard something.

Somewhere in the town, there was this fun place called Sing it Loud, a popular karaoke joint that opened just two months ago.

And today, some teenagers were singing their hearts out to some great pop songs/

Don't stop, make it pop
DJ, blow my speakers up
Tonight, I'ma fight
'Til we see the sunlight
Tick-tock on the clock
But the party don't stop, no
Oh, whoa, whoa-oh
Oh, whoa, whoa-oh

That was when Mare-Lody burst in and zapped the speakers, stopping the music, to the chagrin of the singers and the audience.

"Hey! We were singing there!" said one boy angrily.

"You dare to sing that garbage in my presence?" said Mare-Lody. "Do you know who I am?"

"I know that you're definitely gonna have to pay for that speaker you broke." said a worker.

Mare-Lody flew up on stage and pushed the teens off.

"I'm going to show you some real music."

But the patrons booed and threw things at her, yelling for her to get off the stage. That was when Mariverde contacted Mare-Lody again.

If they won't listen to your command, make them!

"Fine, you wanna play the hard way? Let's dance."

Mare-Lody played another song very loudly from her horn, and suddenly, people started dancing against their will as magical headphones appeared on their heads, playing nothing but Mare-Lody's music. The same thing started to happen everywhere Magenta flew. Any time someone listened to any other kind of music or did so much as sing a song, she cast her spell on them.

Kara rushed out to see what was happening and found so many people were basically being enslaved by music. Her coronation was the last thing on her mind now.

"I never would have imagined someone could use something as wonderful as music for evil." Kara told herself.

Kara sped right back to the palace to warn everyone what was happening.

"What do we do?" Remix asked Master Yoda.

Remix knew his sister was arrogant, and she would step on anyone to make herself look better. But she wasn't always like that. From what Remix could remember, she used to be sweet, fun, and taught her little brother the first things he ever learned about music and how to just feel the beat in him when he danced. She'd even been the one to teach him how to work his musical horn. He even had at least a couple pictures of back then that he hadn't torn in his fit of anger all those years ago.

"Hmm...Forgotten who she is, your sister has." Yoda said.

"Don't you mean who she was?" Remix said, one of his ears tilting as he was confused.

Yoda shook his head. "Trapped your sister is. Inside her, the truth lies within. Refusing to show it she is."

"Well, you're her rider. Can't you do anything?"

"Unlock her truth, only she can. Proper guidance she requires."

"How exactly are any of us supposed to do anything if Magenta won't even sit still to talk, and even if she does, she goes right back to her arrogant streak?" Crescent pointed out.

That was when Gabby had an idea.

"Uncle Carmine, you said you had a way to never forget where you came from, right?" she asked her uncle.

"Yes." Carmine said. "Memories I made with the people I love."

Carmine took off his locket and opened it to show the picture to his parents. The one of Carmine as a child, and a second photo he'd added of Caroline and a baby Lamenta.

"The day Dad gave me this, I promised myself and to him that I would never take it off, that way I would never lose it." Carmine said. "And any time I looked in the mirror, I saw the locket around my neck, and I looked inside it. No matter how stressed I was by the superstar life, no matter how much my fame grew among strangers, I remembered that the most important fans I would ever have and the only ones I really needed were my family."

"Magenta never had anything like that." said Remix. "She left everything behind when she left the family."

"And your dad already tried talking to her before then?"

"Yes, but she just yelled at him. And she just up and wouldn't talk to me either, like I'd done something bad or something."

"So... if we just help Magenta remember..." said Lamenta. "She'll stop being a villain?"

"This is bigger than just a clavatized villain," said Carmine. "This is about reuniting a family."

"He's right." said Anakin. "Carmine and I have argued plenty of times, and even Gabby and Boba have argued. Petty arguments are usually solved in a matter of days, from my experience, but this...?"

"It's just causing a lot of problems for everyone." said Carousella.

Kara then remembered that it was Boba who found the memories that helped save everyone from Lady Morpha before, and when he and Omega combined their earned powers, it created a power ten times stronger than their individual powers alone.

"Remix, you need to be the one to save your sister." Kara said. "You know her better than any of us."

"Me?" Remix said. "But you saw how I acted before. And Yoda here is the one who said emotions would hinder judgement."

"At times, perhaps." Yoda said. "However, in this time, your emotions are precisely what we need. The ones in your memories."

"The ones in here." Carmine said, putting his hand near Remix's heart.

Carmine, Omega, and Boba had Remix come with them to the pond in the palace yard.

"Look into the water, Remix." Carmine said.

"Focus on remembering." Boba said, placing his hand on the water.

Omega then placed her hand over the water and shined a little light.

Remix looked at his reflection and began to see a memory forming into the water. He could see a memory from long ago. A special one from back when he was a baby. A time when he'd just learned to walk, and Magenta would help him master his balance through a playful game of dancing. She would walk beside him and cha cha cha with him, and they would laugh together and have so much fun until they both got tired and fell down. And Magenta would lick him affectionately.

"Magenta?" Remix gasped, beginning to see his sister as she truly was before.

Carmine:

If we ever needed magic, we could use it now
And if spells and wands won't work, we'll find a way somehow
Can we find some new power
If we ever needed magic, this would be the day
Can we find the way?

Remix looked at Carmine for a moment, who held his chin and looked at him with reassurance in his eyes.

Memories are magic, Remix
It doesn't matter how unmemorable they seem
Ordinary moments
Like a look or laugh you shared
Can bring a gleam of light
In your bleakest, darkest hour

Out from the water, big glowing drops of water rose from the pond with memories of Remix's happy days with Magenta. From a simple night of her taking her brother under her wing at night after he'd had a bad dream to when she flew up and rescued him when he found his way up high into a tree, to the first time they ever sang together in front of a crowd.

Memories can save us, Remix
When you add them up, they paint a picture of
All the love you're given
And the love you have received

And in that love, there's a power
Love power
Feel it flowing through you
Like a rushing stream

Boba looked at his unicorn friend and recalled all the times he'd met people on the wrong side of the law, society, and morals altogether until he was saved by the power of love.

Boba:

And there are those who just love power
And they throw us down a well of deep despair
They don't understand
That while they live in hate and fear

Look what's right there, love power
Love, love power
We can always choose to use it if we dare
Love power
Love power
And we find it in the memories we share
And we need it like the sun and light and air

Omega:

So when you're in need of magic
This is where to go
Find the song inside you
That your memories seem to know
Let it grow
Let it glow
Woah, woah
Woah, woah

Remix could see all of his memories glowing brighter and brighter the more he remembered all those times and how much he loved his sister. And she needed a reminder just of that.

Carmine:

Out of rock there grows a flower
As a ray of sunshine melts a cave of ice
So we'll sing it out
Until the world will sing along
What makes us strong?
Love power
Love, love power
It's like soaring on a magic broomstick
To the sky above
We fly on love, love power
Love, love power
Just remember the memories
That show us the power of love!

Remix found himself ready to fight for his sister.

"Let's go save my sister." said Remix. "But first, we'll need to lure her to us with the very thing that drives what she's become now."

Magenta spelled so many more people as she wreaked havoc across town.

The Cabello siblings and their riders ran out to try and fight her. Crosshair attempted to knock her out with a tranquilizer dart, but Magenta cast a spell on it that sent it flying right back and knocked him out.

"Crosshair!" Maybelle panicked, rushing to her rider collapsed on the ground.

"Let me at her!" Wrecker exclaimed.

He tried to ride Pinto towards Magenta, but she spelled them too. Even when Banjo tried using music magic against her, Magenta spelled him and had him under her spell.

"No one can out-sing Mare-Lody!" Mare-Lody laughed.

"Don't forget..." said Mariverde. "you must get me a crown jewel."

"Yeah, yeah. I know the drill."

"Magenta!" said a familiar voice.

Mare-Lody looked to her left to see Remix beside his cousins, Count Crescendo, Gabby, Boba, and Omega.

"My name is Mare-Lody!" said the villain with an angry snort.

"No, it isn't." Remix said. "Magenta, I know you. This isn't you!"

"You don't know anything." said Mare-Lody. "I will spell you now."

"Crescendo, now!" Remix said, beginning to spin the tables with a song he knew would get stuck in anyone's head.

Crescendo:

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

Everyone:

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

Bright, colorful lights started to flash and Mare-Lody began to cover her ears with her hooves as

'Cause it's so catchy, catchy
It's such a catchy song
Gonna make you happy, happy
Don't try to fight it, sing along

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' (Head)
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' (Head)
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

Carousella jumped in and did a bit of rapping for the next part.

Carousella:

This song's gonna get stuck inside you
Run but you can't hide, I'll find you
Shine so bright, my bling bling blind you
Sing this song, I must remind you
Everybody roll out, screamin' and a shout
Everybody in the house got it comin' from they mouth
Runnin', runnin', let me get 'em
Y'all have the rhythm stuck in your system?
I'm goin' to the top, everybody goin' to the top
Everybody head gon' rock
Everybody said, "Don't stop"
Everybody said, "Don't stop, " ooh

As the group kept singing, people who were previously spelled by Mare-Lody were freed by the louder, catchier song.

Everyone:

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

'Cause it's so catchy, catchy
It's such a catchy song
Gonna make you happy, happy
Don't try to fight it, sing along

While Marelody was distracted by everyone singing along,

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

Carousella:

There's nothin' that you can't do
There's nothin' that you can say
This song is stuck on replay
You better sing it every single day
From the mornin', the noon, the night
I got it movin' from left to right
And if you wonder who's to blame
Yeah, it's me stuck in they brain
Like a permanent stain and it won't change
Even if you go insane
This song is now in your brain
And in your brain it will remain

This song is now stuck inside yo'
This song is now stuck inside yo'
This song is now stuck inside yo' head
This song is now stuck inside yo'
This song is now stuck inside yo'
This song is now stuck inside yo' head

Everyone:

'Cause it's so catchy, catchy
It's such a catchy song
Gonna make you happy, happy
Don't try to fight it, sing along

This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' (Head)
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' (Head)
This song's gonna get stuck inside head
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo'
This song's gonna get stuck inside yo' head

Remix got closer to Mare-Lody as she was trapped by some big, strong vines provided by Anakin hiding in the bushes, and then behind her appeared Boba and Omega, who'd been turned invisible by Lamenta. And together they began to cast the spell on Mare-Lody while Lamenta snatched the bow to catch the mariclava.

"Magenta, this isn't you." Remix said, looking into his sister's eyes. "Look at me."

Magenta didn't want to look, but Remix made her look into his eyes.

"Remember all those times when we were small." Remix begged, tears forming. "Do you remember... how we used to cha cha together when I mastered walking? Or the time we rapped while getting our chores done?"

Magenta started to look more at her brother as he reminded her of those times they had before.

"Do you remember when I froze on stage when I was four, and then you came on stage and sang with me?"

Boba began to wonder if that inspired Remix to do that very thing at Karaoke Cave when they first met.

"I remember." Magenta said just as Lamenta blasted the mariclava, and then the alicorn collapsed.

Magenta slowly woke up having no memory of being Mare-Lody, but she did feel something inside her snap.

"Remix? What happened?" Magenta asked, this time looking less focused on her image for a change.

"We have to talk, Magenta." Remix said. "And this time, let's please not fight."

This time, Remix and Magenta sat in a room with Yoda and with Boba.

"Work, this is how." Yoda explained, setting an hourglass with the Force. "Give each side of the story, you shall with time from the hourglass."

"But..." said Boba. "If either of you interrupts, says something insulting, or yells..."

Boba splashed both of them with cold water, making both horses whinny in shock.

"You'll get splashed." Boba finished.

The horses shook themselves dry. Then, they flipped a credit to see who would go first. And the two siblings each took a turn speaking to answer one question: Why did they start fighting in the first place?

Remix explained that one day, when he was younger, he was spending the day with his uncle and cousin Crescent, learning about being a royal guard. Carousella was only two at the time, so she wouldn't remember. But then, when he saw Magenta, she turned her nose up at him and went to her room and wouldn't speak to him.

Magenta, on the other hoof, said that she heard Remix had said that he was the real star of the duo because he was younger and cuter, and that Magenta couldn't become famous on her own if her life depended on it. So, she decided she would teach him a lesson by launching a solo career. That only got Remix confused.

"I know I was only five, but when did I ever say that?" Remix asked.

"You never said it directly to me, but our new producer of the time told me he'd overheard you saying that." Magenta said. "I remember it clear as day. He told me we needed to cut you from the act. At first, I thought it was because he just didn't wanna work with a little kid, and I tried to object to the idea, but then he seduced me with all this about how you wanted all the attention and that you thought bad things about me."

"If that's true, then why didn't you just talk to me or Dad?"

Magenta was silent at that last question.

"Magenta... what's wrong?" Remix asked.

Magenta still said nothing.

"Hurt you, did someone else?" Yoda said.

Magenta was silent, but she nodded, not looking at the others.

"Magenta... who hurt you?" asked Remix. "I know we haven't gotten along in years, but... but I still love you. You're my sister."

"Your past, it is. Sense a great deal of pain, sadness I do. Confront it you must. Better you will feel if you do." Yoda reassured. "Seen for myself in Skywalker how confronting his emotions has led to wonderful things."

Still, Magenta was silent.

"Is it about Mom?"

"No... kinda." Magenta said.

Magenta burst into tears at that moment. She told Yoda and her brother how long ago, she faced a diva of her own back in musicorn school. In Equinaro, there were schools for ponies of all kinds, and schools for particular types of magic. Schools for flight, schools for unicorns who transformed things, even schools to teach earth horses to connect with the earth beneath their feet. Despite a lack of horns, even they had magic of their own. And one of the greatest schools was that for musicorns to learn to channel their music magic.

Back in those days, Magenta just had fun with her magic. At the time, Asian pop musicorns were not as common as now. In fact, the few who were around then often got teased. Magenta was no exception. And the worst bully she faced was named Divanna, an opera musicorn with a voice like an angel but an attitude like a pail of lemon juice. She would call Magenta a freak and act like she was the queen of the musicorns.

Magenta only stayed strong because she'd had her mother at the time, and she was ecstatic when she learned she would have a baby brother soon. But then her mom never woke up after Remix was born. And with Serenado being busy as a royal guard, it fell to Magenta to help take care of her baby brother.

And then one day, while she was still grieving, Divanna took it too far in her bullying, and said that it was a good thing her mother died before she had to find out if the new baby would be a K-pop freak like Magenta.

Magenta got so mad, she cast a fury hex, a very dangerous spell that was cast when an Enchanted's anger got too strong. Divanna was hit in her throat with it, and she lost her angelic voice. Some might call it good karma that she lost the ability to sing beautifully after the way she treated Magenta, but it didn't stop her from still tormenting her.

Magenta decided then that she was going to strive to be a big star with her music to not only teach Divanna that she messed with the wrong mare, but to show the rest of the world and the galaxy that Asian pop music deserved better respect and appreciation, and no one should be teased for playing it or liking it.

"Instead, I guess I ended up being like her." Magenta said. "Worse even."

Magenta cried a little more and looked at her brother. "Remix... I'm so sorry. For everything. I'm a horrible pony."

Remix nuzzled his sister and cried a bit himself. He'd waited so long to hear his sister say that, and now... he had what he wanted back even more. His sister.

Magenta then left the room, saying there was something else she needed to do.

Magenta went to Lamenta.

"I'm so sorry for the way I treated you before, Lamenta." Magenta said. "Your hair doesn't make you look like a sheep. In fact, your hair is beautiful. You're beautiful all over, and Crescendo is lucky to have you as part of his crew."

"Thank you for saying that." Lamenta said. She didn't need her magic to see Magenta was being genuine. "But, are you gonna apologize to everyone else you were mean to?"

Magenta smiled and said, "Yes. Yes, I am."

So, Magenta did apologize to those she hurt previously, and swore to them and to Queen Reigna that she was going to work hard to become a better pony. And, with Master Yoda's wisdom, she would gain back the humility she once held, as well as learn to slow down and remember the things that really mattered.

It warmed everyone's hearts to see the two siblings finally getting along again. Crescent and Carousella nuzzled each other affectionately, promising to each other they'd never let anything come between them and to never forget how much they loved each other.

"Group hug." Gabby said, getting her big brother and sister and hugging them too. Of course, they didn't neglect the babies. "We wouldn't forget you Leia and Luke." Gabby smiled, kissing the babies' little heads.

Kara looked at her brothers and pulled them into a big hug.

"No matter which of us becomes the next ruler," said Kara. "We're each other's crown jewels."
