It was nighttime on Planet Mandalore. A peaceful night just like any other. Some were working late tonight across the city, being the night owls that they were, while others were asleep in their beds.

Those who lived in the palace were no exception.

In one room, a pink, red and white unicorn named Peppermint was sound asleep in her bed of hay, dreaming of frolicking in a field of tasty mint. In another was the young prince Korkie, nephew to Duchess Satine and second in line to the throne after his future cousin. And in another was Bo-Katan Kryze, Duchess Satine's younger sister. And in the best room was the current acting rulers of Mandalore Duchess Satine Kryze-Kenobi and her husband, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new duke of Mandalore since their marriage.

Even the leaders of a kingdom needed their sleep. And Satine needed hers especially now, as she was nine full months pregnant with her and Obi-Wan's new baby. Well, nine months and two weeks now. The baby was due almost two weeks ago, but nothing yet. The baby was still moving, so the parents-to-be were at least relieved their baby was alive and healthy. But he or she should have been wanting to come out by now.

Obi-Wan still worried though. Would he be a good father? He'd never even though about having a baby before the Jedi Code changed. He'd raised Anakin as a child, babysat Gabby lots of times, he even babysat Boba before, and later got a chance to spend time with Luke, Leia, Lamenta, and even Omega. But, he'd never actually raised a baby from birth himself. He and Satine already had names picked out, but they didn't know the gender, as they'd wanted to be surprised.

At some point during the night, Obi-Wan felt himself being jerked awake.

"Obi-Wan! Obi-Wan, wake up!" Satine said.

Obi-Wan looked at the clock.

"Satine, it's three in the morning." Obi-Wan groaned, and then he noticed the sheets were wet. "Eww! And why are the sheets wet?"

"Obi-Wan, my water just broke!"

Obi-Wan was definitely awake now!

"What?! You mean it's time?"

"YES!"

Obi-Wan quickly rushed to get out of bed and put his boots on, but put them on the wrong feet, and he rushed to call the guards to get the speeder ready.

"THE BABY'S COMING! THE BABY'S COMING!" Obi-Wan shouted loud enough to wake up the entire city.

Korkie got out of bed and was knocked to the ground by his uncle, who also fell down.

"Uncle! What are you doing?" said Korkie.

"No time for playing! Your cousin's about to arrive!"

Later...

Sometime after breakfast on Naboo, the royal family and the Bad Batch were having another lesson with Garrett. With all the missions the Batchers were starting to do with Cid, Garrett thought it would be interesting and helpful to up their skills as well as the royals'.

For this lesson, Garrett told Lamenta he needed her help.

"Now, as you know, when Silvaria attacked at the pony pageant," said Garrett. "It became very dark, hard to see. Therefore, I've asked Lamenta to aid in this lesson. Lamenta, begin."

Lamenta giggled and turned invisible.

"How exactly is her turning invisible supposed to-" Hunter began until Tech started laughing.

"What's so funny?" Wrecker asked until he started laughing too.

"What's going-?" Hunter started laughing as well.

"Cootchie, cootchie, coo!" Lamenta's voice sang.

"Lamenta! Stop that! That tickles!" Hunter begged.

"The goal here is to catch Lamenta without being able to see her." Garrett said. "That is why I asked Gabby to make the clouds block the sunlight here."

Lamenta continued to tickle everyone. Her father, her uncle, her grandfather, and her cousins.

"Where are you?!" Crosshair demanded, only to get tickled by Lamenta again.

"Lamenta, I'm going to find you." Carmine sang.

The others looked and looked around for her. Omega tried to make some light, but Garrett told her, "No, Omega. The idea is to use your other senses to find Lamenta."

Omega groaned, and then she was tickled.

"Na, na! You can't catch me!" Lamenta teased.

"Gotcha!" Carmine exclaimed, grabbing an invisible Lamenta, who turned visible after he picked her up.

"Okay, clearly we need to work on that." Garrett said. "Carmine, clearly you've know Lamenta longest. How did you know where to find her?"

Carmine shrugged. "I just followed the sound of her voice when she was talking and laughing. She sounded close, and I just went in the direction I heard her."

"Good. You used your hearing to find her. But, the rest of you will need a little more practice in that regard."

Just then, Qui-Gon heard his phone ringing. He looked at the caller ID to see it was Obi-Wan, and he answered it.

"Hello, Obi-Wan." said Qui-Gon. "What? It's happening?! Are you sure? We'll be right over."

"What is it, Grandpa?" Gabby asked.

"Obi-Wan is about to become a father."

That got everyone ecstatic. After the baby didn't come on its due date, the suspense got to everyone. Some more than others. Anakin, being the baby's godfather, was really excited to meet the new baby, and of course the girls were really enthusiastic to see the baby. Unfortunately, the number of people who could visit right now was limited, so only Qui-Gon, Anakin, Padme, and Gabby were going to see Obi-Wan and Satine in the hospital today.

Anakin rushed off to fetch Padme while Qui-Gon picked Gabby up and took her to get ready to go meet Obi-Wan at the hospital.

Obi-Wan had been the first Jedi Gabby ever met when she was born, and he was her godfather. And now her father was going to be Baby Kenobi's godfather; that practically made them siblings, from a unique point of view. It only seemed fair for her to be the first royal child to meet the new baby.

It felt like hours as Qui-Gon and the three Skywalkers sat in the lobby awaiting any news on the baby's arrival.

Gabby tried to distract herself playing with some of the toys and looking at the fish tank. Key word: tried.

Qui-Gon seemed nervous too. He recalled both times he'd waited for his children to be born. Tahl got to give birth in a proper medical facility, whereas Shmi was forced to give birth in a dank room in one of the slave trading facilities on Tatooine. But both times, Qui-Gon was blessed with the most beautiful children he'd ever seen.

"Satine and Obi-Wan must be so happy," said Padme. "They're finally going to meet their bundle of joy."

Anakin sighed. "It feels like only yesterday, you and I were in a place like this. Only, we were the ones in the maternity ward."

"I remember it well." Padme sighed.

Five months ago...

Padme and Anakin finally got to the hospital after rushing out from Omega and Boba's first cheer-off after getting onto the cheerleading squad at their school. It was the big day they'd been waiting for, and sooner than they thought.

"Careful with her now," said Anakin gently setting Padme on a gurney.

Padme was immediately taken into the maternity ward where Anakin held her hand as she was prepared to give birth. She was excited, but at the same time in a lot of pain. And the screaming showed it.

"It's okay, Padme." said Anakin as calmly as possible. "I'm here now. You're gonna be fine. Be strong for me. If not, for the children."

The doctors watched for Padme's contractions, and at the right moment, told her to push.

And very soon, Padme and Anakin heard the sound of a newborn baby crying its first cry.

"It's a boy!" said the nurse, holding the baby boy to his loving parents.

"He's so tiny." Anakin smiled lovingly as he saw his new son for the very first time.

"Luke." Padme said, looking at the baby boy with a smile.

And as Luke was taken to be cleaned and wrapped up, Padme began screaming as it was announced that another baby was coming.

"You've got this, Padme." said Anakin, kissing his wife's cheek. "Our baby is counting on you. Show 'em what a strong woman their mama is."

And so, Padme gave it all her might, and another baby's cry filled the room, and this time...

"It's a girl." said the nurse.

"Leia." Padme said.

And when they held their baby twins for the very first time, it was the happiest moment of their lives. Next to, of course, their wedding day, the day Gabby was born, the day they found Carmine and his family, the day Qui-Gon was revived, and the days they'd adopted Boba and Omega. They now had five beautiful children. Three gorgeous girls, and two beautiful boys. In that moment, they felt they couldn't be happier.

Present Day...

Now, Obi-Wan was going to experience the same joy Anakin had felt when he met his first child and held her in his arms for the very first time.

And that was when Obi-Wan entered the lobby to greet his family friends. He had a huge smile on his face.

"Everyone..." said Obi-Wan. "I'm a father!"

Everyone immediately congratulated Obi-Wan on the safe and healthy birth of his and Satine's new baby.

"How's Satine?" said Padme.

"Oh, she's wonderful, and the baby is just beautiful."

"Is it a boy or a girl?" Gabby asked, eagerly jumping up and down.

"Come and find out."

Obi-Wan and his guests soon arrived in Satine's room where the duchess was laying in bed resting as her sister Bo-Katan and young Korkie were congratulating her on a job well done getting through the pregnancy and birthing process. Satine looked exhausted but extremely joyous at the same time.

Obi-Wan walked over and kissed his wife, glad to see she was recovering steadily.

"Satine, how are you feeling?" Qui-Gon asked.

"Fine, thank you." Satine said. "It was the most wonderful thing. I knew the baby was going to come out of me, but somehow when the baby did, I felt so many things I never felt."

"I know that feeling very well." Padme said, looking at her daughter.

Gabby was looking around, not seeing a baby anywhere.

"Where's the baby?" Gabby asked.

"With the nurses right now." Satine answered.

"Shh! And here they come now." Obi-Wan said quietly, but loudly enough for the others to hear.

A nurse came in with a little white bundle in her arms, and she carefully passed the little bundle into Satine's loving arms.

"Everyone, meet the newest member of the family." Obi-Wan said, him and Satine unwrapping the blanket from the baby's little face. "Our daughter... Olivia."

Everyone was immediately in love when they saw Olivia for the first time as she lay asleep in her mother's arms, sticking out her little tongue.

"She looks just like you, Obi-Wan." Anakin commented, seeing the baby's brown hair that matched Obi-Wan's.

Qui-Gon lifted Gabby up so she could get a better look at the new baby girl.

Gabby looked with awe in her eyes at her new baby godsister. A big smile was on her face as she hadn't seen anything so beautiful since she met her baby brother and sister.

Obi-Wan felt he couldn't be happier when he held Olivia in his arms. He had tears of ecstasy in his eyes as he gazed upon his daughter's little face, as he now knew exactly how Anakin must have felt when he held Gabby in his arms for the very first time when she was born. And he was determined to be a wonderful father, the loving, perfect father that this little baby deserved.

"I'll take good care of you, Olivia." Obi-Wan whispered to the baby, stroking the little bit of hair on her head. "I promise."
