She let him go.
Regulus ignored the stinging feeling in his wrist and went up to his father, Orion, and his brother. He ignored their looks and entered the flames that awaited them and said, "Diagon Alley!"

3rd PERSON POV
Once he had arrived at the place; he glanced around to where all the people were directing their children to go onto the train. He waited a but for his family to come and smiled politely at anyone that saw him making them stare at him a bit. Regulus didn't care though; he had gone through so much in all his other timelines that he didn't mind some of these experiences anymore.
"You exited?" Sirius asked as he strolled his suitcase with him and glanced around so that their mother didn't catch them whispering behind her back.
Regulus nodded and went towards the train before he was stopped by a grab in the shoulder; recognizing the grip, he sent limp. Stopping when his mother grabbed him, "Goodbye, Regulus remember what I've told you,"She warned as she stared at him when he turned to fully face her. He nodded his head and kissed both her checks to say goodbye before doing the same to his father.
Afterwards he entered the train, making Sirius grab him and rush him towards a certain compartment where his friends were. James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin stared at him when he opened the compartment that Sirius dragged him at before they smiled when the saw his brother.
"Sirius! Is this your brother, the baby Black?" James questioned as he glanced between Regulus and his brother. Sirius nodded and shot James a shitty grin. "The one and only. My dearest brother, Reggie!" he teased which just earned him a glare from Regulus. From then on Regulus decided that he doesn't want to deal with this and told Sirius he was going to the bathroom before leaving the train compartment.
Walking through the hall, Regulus got lost in his thoughts before he almost crashed into someone's arms. He glanced up—they were a bit taller than him—and froze a bit when he saw one Lucius Malfoy there staring at him with his Slytherin attire already on. He had a prefect badge on, which made Regulus more nervous at the lack of power in the accidental meeting between the two.
The last time he had seen Sirius was on his cousin, Narcissa's wedding, and he doesn't really remember some of the interactions that he had with Lucius at the moment. "Apologies, I wasn't looking were I walked," he said while bowing his head submissible as a sign or respect.
He must have done the right thing because he heard a chuckle from Lucius. "Relax, you're basically my brother-in-law with how things with Narcissa and I are going. But I have to ask what are you doing here, Black?"
Regulus forced himself to relax and said, "I was going to the bathroom. Now, if you don't mind."
Lucius nodded and then moved to the side.
"I better see you in Slytherin," he said as Regulus passed by him. Regulus just walked forward without saying anything. He searched for the emptiest compartment and found one that was at the very end of the train that was free. Well, as free as it could be with the head-boy and head-girl compartment right next to each other.
Inside his compartment he continued to write the notes of the different timelines he saw in his notebook. Ignoring who passed by and staring at the poor few souls that wanted to sit next to him.
Regulus had to get his head straight before he could function like a basic human being.
…
"Firs' 'ears! Firs' 'ears, c'mere!" a ginormous, hairy and well-rounded man said as he waved for the first years to follow him out of the train. Regulus waked at the very end and ended up with people he recognized as his past friends in other timelines, Barty Crouch Jr. and Evan Rosier.
"Hello," he said, "Can I sit with you two?" they glanced at him and analyzed his features and immediately said. "You're too young to be Sirius Black are you the younger one? Regulus Black?" Barty questioned and he nodded as he sat down. Evan said his welcomes and introduced himself as well as Barty.
"It's very nice to meet you, I hope we're in the same houses." Evan said as they got closer to the Hogwarts castle. Regulus nodded in agreement, "Speaking of houses, what house do you think you'll be placed in?" Regulus asked out of politeness not really caring what house they were going to be in since they would still be one of his best buddies no matter what house.
"Hmm," Barty hummed as he thought what house he wanted to be in, "I'd rather be in Ravenclaw than Slytherin. Wouldn't want to be in Gryffindor like my father…" he trailed off looking at the side of the boat that they were in.
Evan used the silence to say his answer to Regulus's question, "I know that. I'll be in Slytherin, but the real question is you, Black."
Evan stared at Regulus's eyes and then averted his gaze when Regulus didn't back down, "I think I'll be in Slytherin, just like my family wants me to be." Was all he said while letting the two boys go talk to each other.
Once the boats stopped, he patted one of the thestral's mane as he jumped over the boat and landed in the land. As soon as he landed the door to Hogwarts opened and soon came out Professor McGonagall welting in as her green cape swept behind her.
"The firs'-years, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid said gesturing to them. "Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here."
"Welcome students to your first year at Hogwarts. Please proceed in a orderly line and enjoy your view," she said while looking kindly at the nervous first years before staring at the rest of the students, "The returning students know that they should now head to their table in the Great Hall"
"Now," she said making the students walk with her. Slowly the first years made their way inside the school, McGonagall talked as she walked them inside. "The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honor," she stared at the students for a bit while pausing her step, "I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting."
Regulus looked at the sky and sighed as he looked at the stars that were barely visible due to the clouds. Sometimes he wished he was an actual star.
A/N: Hope you liked this chapter, see you in the next one!
I though that the had to be in Diagon Ally to go to the train but apparently not so just ignore that haha.
