AN: I LIVE! Sorry for the delay, real life and a real long chapter will do that to ya. Speaking of length, this chapter is slightly over 10k words. Never again. (until the next time it happens)

ahein9937: You will see when I place what. I have the story mostly mapped, some changed may occur if I come up with or find an idea that I like more. I do plan to "freeform" some arcs, there will be non-canon stuff in the fic, kinda like how the first ten chapters took snippets of facts and made it my own thing. Won't say what, won't say when. I hope you look forward to my fic and continue to enjoy. Ciao!

sardarhassan503: Technically speaking, Katsuki hasn't done anything to Izuku past age 6ish. Here is a super long chapter, I don't like how long it is, not that its bad, just took a while to write. Pandora's box does not exist here, any references to it is just a nod to the Kamen Rider: Build canon. I have never seen RWBY, I don't plan to see it. Maybe a Hibiki story later, probably not RWBY crossover. I do have some plans for several non-UA kamen rider fics. I hope you look forward to those.

Dragon and Sword Master: Chaos, the apocalypse, tea. What won't Nezu bring. Katsuki is still an ass; but was not a bully to Izuku because they no longer grew up together. Never explicitly stated but implied. Hope that helps :)

Light Hero Kaiser: Glad you enjoyed it, I look forward to that too :)

PhantomKnightPercival: Certain Todoroki, try all not named Enji, lol. All Might is surprisingly fun to write his canon personality alongside my assumptions about him. Proud Might = Best Might

Professor Donger: Glad to have you back :)

Rubius: Ehh, it was impulsive of Izuku, not much thought.

CCSakuraforever: Glad you liked the chapter. The other characters are fun to write. I hope you continue to enjoy the fic.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Glad you found and enjoy my fic! Thank you for all the comments, they were very fun to read :) I have Bakugo's reaction in mind, and it does put a smile to my face.

The gates of UA University loomed in front of Izuku and Melissa, this wasn't their first time standing before these gates, but the suspense in the air made them seem more menacing, for lack of a better term. The two aspiring heroes looked at each other, nodded, and walked through the gates.

They followed the rest of the applicants applying through recommendations to the auditorium, there were a variety of people around them, one boy had ash blond hair and no lips, another girl had her hair tied up in a large ponytail. All in all, they were up against good competition. After most people had taken seats in the auditorium, Present Mic walked on the stage and addressed the crowd

"WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW! EVERYBODY SAY HEEEEY!" the voice hero shouted.

"HEEEEY!" Izuku and another student called back. The two looked at each other, nodded, and returned their attention to the front.

A single tear went down Present Mic's face as he turned slightly and did a fist pump. YES! TWO RESPONSES! He quickly turned back and shouted "THANK YOU LISTENERS! AND FOR THE REST OF YOU, DON'T WORRY I GET THAT Y'ALL ARE NERVOUS. SO LET ME GIVE YOU ALL THE LOW-DOWN ON HOW YOUR ENTRANCE EXAMS WILL GO!"

A projector behind him turned on, showing three sections. "YOUR FIRST EXAM IS THE WRITTEN ONE! ALL OF YOU LITTLE LISTENERS WILL BE TAKING AN ACADEMICS TEST TO MAKE SURE YOUR BRAIN IS UP TO SNUFF! SECOND IS YOUR PRACTICAL, HERO STUDENTS WILL BE CONDUCTING A SIMPLE RACE, YOUR JOB THERE IS TO SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT! RECOMMENDED SUPPORT STUDENTS AT THAT TIME WILL BE CONDUCTING THEIR INTERVIEWS WITH OUR AMAZING PANEL OF HERO FACULTY! AFTERWARDS HERO AND SUPPORT STUDENTS WILL FLIP!" he crossed his arms making his hands point finger guns in opposite directions "SUPPORT STUDENTS WILL GO OVER TO POWER LOADER WHERE HE WILL GIVE YOU HIS TEST, WHILE HERO STUDENTS GO DO THEIR INTERVIEWS! NOW BEFORE WE BEGIN ANY QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE?"

Izuku raised his hand and Mic did a spin pointing both his finger guns at him "ALRIGHT LISTENER WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND?"

"When would students who are applying for both heroics and support conduct their interview?" He got several looks from the other students after his question. Izuku quickly scanned the audience, he noticed Tensei's brother Tenya push up his glasses, the girl with the pony tail looked at him with confusion, the other boy who shouted with him, a tall, built young man with buzzed black hair gave Izuku a massive grin, excitement filling his eyes.

A smirk grew on Mic's face "GREAT QUESTION LISTENER! ANY HYBRID STUDENTS WILL CONDUCT THEIR INTERVIEW AFTER THEIR SUPPORT EXAM! ON THAT NOTE YOU WILL BE DOING BOTH PRACTICALS BACK TO BACK, HOPE YOUR READY TO GO PLUS ULTRA!"

Some in the audience grew wide eyed at the prospect of someone doing both practicals right after the other followed by the interview, they quickly looked back to Izuku who stood there, matching Mic's smirk with one of his own. His eyes filled with determination, Izuku cracked his knuckles as he spoke. "Good to know, thanks for the answer, Mic." He sat back down and looked at Melissa, who was seated beside him. While lacking the smirk, her eyes were filled with equal determination, they were there to show that they would be heroes.

The written exam was relatively simple for our two scientists, both going at different paces during certain sections but finishing around the same time. Izuku did a quick skim to make sure that all the questions were properly answered, then returned to his response for the final question. Why do you want to be a Hero?A simple question in concept, but one that, knowing Nezu was meant to be taken seriously, so Izuku went back over his response making sure it was as good as possible. Melissa on the other hand took her time going over her questions, doing a quick double check on her calculations, using information provided in other questions to verify other answers, and properly making sure that she did not miswrite any of her answers. She also ended, looking back at her response to the final question, rereading her answer, confirming that it was properly written, she nodded to herself and stood up at the same time as Izuku. Both walked to the front where Mic was sitting and placed their tests down.

"Are you sure you listeners are done? You still have 45 minutes left" he asked

Both nodded in confirmation. "When a hero does anything they have to roll with the results" Izuku started

"That same logic applies here, so rather than worry about the timer it's better to submit it while we are confident in our success" Melissa finished

Mic gave a big smile "Well said listeners, waiting room for the next part is down the hall" he pointed at a doorway"

The two nodded, offered their thanks, and walked to the waiting room.

When they arrived, they saw a man wearing what appeared to be a cowboy getup, sitting at a table. He looked up at the two when they approached him.

"I'm assuming that we come to you to collect our approved support items, Snipe?" Izuku asked

"Sure do partner, what are ya names?"

"Izuku Midoriya" he said showing his exam ID, "and she is Melissa Shield" she flashed her ID.

Nodding Snipe turned behind him, skimmed over a few boxes and pulled out two, each one had one of their names. Melissa pulled out a belt, equipped with two holsters, both holding a simple two different grappling guns. In Izuku's box was a pair of glasses and a pair of gloves. He quickly peered into his gloves, seeing a bottle in each, and nodded to himself before putting them on. The bottles fit perfectly in his hands, and after putting on his glasses he sat down and began to shake his hands slightly. Melissa joined Izuku after thoroughly checking over her equipment and giving a satisfied nod to herself.

"So, you ready shrub head"

Izuku snorted "Of course, we're going to kill it out there"

"Yeah, yeah" she looked up and saw the other students beginning to filter into the waiting room "I know I'm going to sound a bit like you here, but let's show these people what the future first quirkless heroes can do" she held out her fist, Izuku smirked and met it with his own.

"You know it, Mel." He stood up "Now then, let's go meet the competition."

Several students caught both their attention, namely a kid with white and red hair split down the center, a scar on his right eye, and a glare affixed to his face. They also saw Tenya and went to greet him but were cut off by a loud voice.

"HELLO FELLOW UA RECOMMENDATION STUDENT!" The tall buzz cut boy from before shouted, power walking to Izuku and Melissa

"MY NAME IS INASA YOARASHI! I LOOK FORWARD TO COMPETING WITH ALL OF YOU!" he then turned to Izuku "AND YOU! I AM GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE IS AS EXCITED AS I AM FOR THESE TESTS! IS IT TRUE THAT YOU ARE TAKING BOTH SUPPORT AND HERO RECOMMENDATIONS?!"

Those words drew attention to the three, Izuku smirked. "Well, Inasa, my name is Midoriya Izuku. And yes, I do plan to take both exams alongside Melissa here" he said nodding to his side.

"HOW MAGNIFICENT! I KNEW UA ATTRACTED THE BEST PEOPLE!" he let out a loud laugh and held out his hand. "I HOPE THE TWO OF YOU GO PLUS ULTRA ON THESE TESTS!" The two shook hands. Inasa looked around at the other students and went to offer his 'greetings'.

After Inasa walked away, Izuku turned and walked over to Tenya, who was rapidly chopping the air, and greeted him saying "Good luck out there Tenya"

"Good luck to you as well Midoriya, I must say it's very bold of you to go for both support and heroics, I question whether it's practical to do both"

"I want to be the best hero I can be, and that means learning not only how to be a hero, but how to properly equip myself. If I overwork myself, that's on me"

"How very astute of you Midoriya" Tenya said as he bowed down at 90 degrees "I apologize for making assumptions about your capability"

"It's okay Iida" Izuku responded taking a step back "After all, if you've got a versatile power, you should be versatile as a hero as well"

"True, I believe when that loud boy was talking to you earlier you said that you weren't the only one taking both exams?"

"Oh, right, where are my manners, Iida, this is Melissa Shield, I've known her since we were kids, she's a fellow hybrid hero prospect" Izuku said, gesturing to Melissa.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Melissa" Tenya said as he walked over and shook Melissa's hand.

"Likewise, Iida, good luck out there today"

"And to you as well"

"ALRIGHT LISTENERS, THOSE PARTICIPATING IN HEAT H-1, YOU'RE ON DECK. HOPE YOU GOT YOUR STRETCHING IN!"

After Mic's announcement had concluded, Izuku, Tenya, Inasa, the glaring kid, and a couple others all headed out to the starting line. Izuku tightened the straps on the gloves and turned on the glasses, showing him a simplified version of his HUD from his suit he'd developed with help from the data from the Smartphone bottle, he could feel the energy of the bottles he held in each hand pour in. When he got to the starting line, he made sure his shoes were tied, and got ready. Mic came over the intercom "ALRIGHT LITTLE LISTENERS, ARE YOU READY? 3! 2! 1! GO!"

When Mic indicated they could go, the six students started at break-neck pace, Inasa was floating past everyone with his quirk, the glaring kid was riding a piece of ice he seemed to be creating from the right side of his body. Both very quickly left the others behind; Tenya had the initial lead over Izuku, at least before the first obstacle. A series of panels crossed a several meter gap filled with what looked like mud. Tenya slowed down to properly time his jumps while Izuku never stopped. His HUD indicated the perfect location and time to jump, he shook his right hand, further charging the Rabbit bottle and swiftly bounced between the boards clearing the gap with ease. Inasa and the kid with the bicolored hair were barely in sight, but Izuku was slowly gaining, as he pumped his arms, the bottles shook, the Rabbit in his right complemented his agility, helping him bounce between obstacles and maintain a fast pace, while the F1 in his left served to control his acceleration, Izuku was literally drifting around curves, hurdling over gaps, and scaled an obstacle wall with a practiced ease. He could faintly hear what he assumed to be Tenya's engines in the distance behind him, but his sights were focused on the two examinees in front of him, the gap was noticeable, but not impossible. After one last turn, Izuku pushed off and accelerated as much as he could, all that was left was a final straightaway. Putting everything he had into this last burst, he ran. A shout was heard announcing someone crossing the line, mere seconds after; Izuku had crossed, in third place.

Izuku looked up at the two students who had crossed before him. The kid with the red and white hair, was walking away, a sharp glare on his face. While Inasa wore several emotions on his face, disappointment, rage, confusion, joy. It puzzled Izuku, so he walked up to his, potentially new, friend and gave him a pat on the back.

"Hey man don't worry, can't win them all"

"Oh, Izuku. No, I beat him"

Slightly surprised at the lack of volume, Izuku paused before continuing "I see, then why do you look like someone shot your dog after you won a game of paintball?"

Inasa sighed "Because he's just like him"

"Just like who now?" Izuku tilted his head

"Endeavor, that guy in front of us is Shoto Todoroki, son of Endeavor. And it looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree"

"Huh, that sucks then. Endeavor is kind of an ass"

Inasa simply nodded, a small silence permeated between the two as they began to walk to the waiting room. Izuku spoke up first "So, what's your next plan then, what last minute prep do you have before I see you at UA?"

Inasa looked down, his brows furrowed, he spoke slowly. "I. I think I might not come here after all"

Izuku snapped his head to look at Inasa "HUH?! The hell man, you just rocked it out there, why wouldn't you come here?"

"Because he will be here, I won't bother you with my personal grudges but I'm not the biggest fan of Endeavor, and if his second coming is attending here I don't want to be here"

"That's stupid"

"HUH! WHAT DO YOU MEAN STUPID"?

"You say you dislike Endeavor, yet you're letting him control your life, and he isn't even here"

Inasa gave Izuku a confused look, "What do you mean"

"You're basing your decision to attend off of someone who is like Endeavor attending. I've seen how excited you were to be here, heck you probably knew Endeavor is an alumnus here and that didn't stop you. So why should someone who acts like an ass stop you from following your dreams"

Inasa's eyes widened, and a giant smile broke out, he clapped Izuku on the back causing the smaller boy to stumble forward "YOU'RE RIGHT! ENDEAVOR SHOULDN'T STOP ME FROM BEING HERE! AFTER ALL UA IS THE BEST! AND I WANT TO BE THE BEST HERO I CAN BE!"

"There's the Inasa I met an hour ago"

The two shared a laugh and continued on their way.

When everyone had arrived in the meeting room, A tall, slender man with prosthetic legs, and a navy blue and yellow helmet that showed his teeth and his blank eyes. He spoke in a calm voice, "If you look above me you will see the times for the obstacle course. Ranked with first place at the top, going down. I shouldn't need to say what the goal is, so keep it up. Here is what you have to beat" He finished turning on the screen above him.

1. Inasa Yoarashi: 8:23.871

2. Shoto Todoroki: 8:24.022

3. Izuku Midoriya: 10:49.369

4. Tenya Iida: 15:32.420

5. ...

Izuku and Inasa shared a grin and high fived each other. The multicolored hair kid, now known as Shoto, maintained his glare. And Tenya, simply looked like someone knocked his ice cream out of his hands and walked away, pure shock.

Mic's voice returned over the speakers "ALRIGHT LISTENERS! GROUP H-2 GET READY! YOU'VE SEEN YOUR COMPETITION, NOW TRY TO GO BEYOND AND BEAT THEM! TIME TO SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!"

Melissa looked over to Izuku, who simply gave her a cheeky grin and a thumbs up. She chuckled to herself and went to the starting line. Melissa saw the girl with the ponytail and another girl with fangs and wavy, dark green hair were also in her group. She quickly shifted her attention from her opponents to the course, she remembered what Nagant had told her, be confident, trust your first impression, if you think the shot is good, don't hesitate, pull the trigger. She already had picked out several places around the first obstacle that she could fire to keep herself airborne. She exhaled and built up her confidence, then Mic's voice came over the speaker "ALRIGHT LISTENERS, LET'S NOT WASTE ANY TIME! 3! 2! 1! GO!"

Melissa and the other students in her group started off down the first straightaway, Melissa keeping pace with most of the other racers, however the girl with sharp teeth had literally split herself in half and was floating the two halves of her body across the course. While the girl with the black ponytail was riding what looked like an electric scooter. As they approached the mud pit, Melissa found one of the points the had remembered from her initial glance, and pulled the trigger, the hook entering the wall with a satisfying "THUNK" she felt the wire go taut, then begin pulling her towards hook, while in midair, Melissa aimed and fired her second grappling hook, it pulled her across the mud pit with almost no effort and had pulled ahead of all but the girl with the fangs. Melissa flipped the switches on her hooks that caused them to retract, she continued running hearing the satisfying click letting her know that her hooks were once again ready. The next obstacle was another pit, this time though several pillars stood atop the mud, witnessing the green haired girl in front of her effortlessly float her body parts across the pit, Melissa attempted to keep pace, jumping from pillar to pillar, eventually seeing her angle. A large tree that overlooked the course. Melissa made a leap, quickly aiming one of her grappling hooks, began to descend, and fired. Her shot was perfect, the hook quickly pulled her towards the tree, which she used her momentum to round the corner, flinging herself in front of the girl in front of her. She rolled into a landing and broke into a sprint, running up to the next obstacle, a large scaling wall. Swiftly aiming her other gun, she fired, and quickly passed over the wall. The other girl had kept pace, but Melissa could hear footsteps behind her as she slid down the other side. The girl had reassembled herself and was running, even without the floating she was decently fast. But not enough, Melissa rounded the last corner and broke into a full sprint, crossing the line first with the other girl seconds behind her.

Melissa took a moment to catch her breath, she looked around, the green haired girl passed out on her back, Mic gave Melissa a big smile, and the sounds of an engine could be heard approaching the finish line. Melissa walked over to the girl on the ground and held out a hand and pulled the other girl to her feet.

"May I know the name of my slinging savior" she started

Melissa let out a giggle "Melissa Shield, please call me Melissa, it's what I'm used to"

"Setsuna Tokage, don't worry I'm not one for much formality, call me Setsuna. Or whatever nickname you can come up with blondie"

"Blondie"

"Hey, I'm tired, and I just met you, give me a bit, I'll have a great nickname for you by the end of the semester"

Melissa gave off a warm smile "I look forward to it Setsuna"

"Seriously though, why were you allowed those grappling hooks, seemed kind of unfair to me"

Melissa tilted her head "I filled out the form? We were allowed to submit equipment we've been given or built for approval to use"

"Wait seriously?! Aww man, that could have been so useful to know, I thought support equipment would be banned completely"

"I mean most heroes use it in the field, it makes sense that if you have some now to show what you can do at your full potential"

"Fair, fair" she said nodding "So, who hooked you up with those beauties?"

"Oh, I built them myself."

"Blondie you have got to be kidding me, how hard was it?"

"Ehh, not the most complicated thing I've built"

"Why aren't you going for support with that big brain of yours?"

Melissa gave a smug smile "Who said I wasn't"

Setsuna went wide eyed, paused mid step, and took a long look at Melissa. "Holy shit" was all that could be heard as Melissa chuckled and continued walking. Setsuna was quick to catch up.

The two walked back into the waiting room, to see the previous round chatting or relaxing. Izuku was having a conversation with Inasa, who held his arm over his shoulder, as the two looked at the scoreboard. Melissa followed their gaze and saw the scores.

1. Inasa Yoarashi: 8:23.871

2. Shoto Todoroki: 8:24.022

3. Izuku Midoriya: 10:49.369

4. Tenya Iida: 15:32.420

5. Melissa Shield: 16:17.380

6. Setsuna Tokage: 18:19.206

7. Momo Yaoyorozu: 20.20.202

8. ...

Melissa couldn't help the smile on her face, she did good. All her training was paying off, she was able to compete with everyone else, and even take a top five spot. Izuku quickly ran over to her and scooped her up in a hug and spun her around. Inasa followed behind Izuku with a smile on his face. Setsuna gave Melissa a smug look.

"You were great out there Mel!"

She giggled "We really did do good huh"

"You know it, all that's left is our other exam and an interview. But those are the easy part"

Setsuna cleared her throat "Easy, you need to speak to the principal and do another exam. Not to mention" she quickly looked around and leaned in "my mentor said the principal is terrifying"

Izuku laughed "Nezu isn't that bad, he's pretty fun to talk to. Plus our other exams shouldn't be as physically taxing as this one"

"If you say so greenie"

Izuku tilted his head "But you're also green?"

"That makes you zero out of two for nicknames Setsuna" Melissa joked

Setsuna let out an over exaggerated sigh "give me a bit to get to know ya and I'll have the best names ever for the two of you"

The group broke out into smiles and laughed a little as the remaining tests concluded.

The remainder of the Hero Practical portion was less eventful, the top seven scores had not changed throughout the remainder of the test, the closest was the kid with exposed teeth, named Juzo Honekuni, who timed a respectable 21:15.899.

After the last race ended Mic's voice came over the intercom "ALLRIGHT LISTENERS, NEXT UP IS YOUR INTERVIEWS, YOU HAVE AN HOUR BREAK TO GET LUNCH AND SHOWER BEFORE THEN, SO GET TO IT"

Izuku nodded to Melissa, and they both headed for the locker rooms.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – One Hour Later – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Izuku and Melissa walked into the support lab with the other recommendation support students, the crowd was definitely smaller than the crowd for the hero exam, but they'd expected that. A few minutes after they entered, a short man with what looked like an excavator shovel on his head walked up to the microphone and addressed the crowd, "Hello applicants, I'm Power Loader, I'm the main support teacher, and I'll be running your practical. Your task is to design and present a support item for a hero of your choice, make sure to present it as if we were a board during a sales pitch or the hero you are trying to improve, your choice there. No physical prototype is required, if you think you can make it, by all means try, however it will not make or break your grade. If you need to use a computer, please use one of the ones in the lab. Are there any questions?"

Izuku's hand shot up, Power Loader pointed at him and simply said "Midoriya, I've read your application, I'm guessing it's for your exam"

"Hit the nail on the head"

"You will follow me after I start the timer"

Nobody raised their hand, Power Loader scanned the room and said, "This room is being monitored, so no pre-built prototypes, we will know. You have two hours, starting now" and pressed a button so that a timer lit up on the screen behind them. All the students save for Izuku immediately darted for a desk or computer. Power Loader motioned for Izuku to follow him, and they walked into a room with two other men sitting on the far side of the table, one had on a red jumpsuit with fangs sticking up out of his mouth, and the other was wearing all black with a gray scarf around his neck. Power Loader walked around the table and sat down between the two.

"Alright kid," The man in red said "Tell us your name and date of birth so we can verify, then we'll begin"

"Certainly Vlad King, Midoriya Izuku, July 15, 2204"

"That checks out" Power Loader said as he shifted in his chair before continuing, "So Midoriya, for your practical, we're going to give you a villain attack scenario, you must come up with a general idea of what the villains' quirks are, and then choose three to five heroes to stop it, and justify why you picked who you did. In addition, you must mention a concept for a piece of support equipment for at least two of the heroes you select, any questions?"

"Define hero"

The three pros looked at him confused, the man in black raised his voice "what do you mean by define hero"

"What I mean, Eraserhead, is like this: the kamen rider is not legally a hero, neither are vigilantes, however they could also take part in taking down villains"

Eraserhead blinked, not used to being recognized, before responding "If you can name them and accurately describe their quirk, I will allow it"

"Are there any heroes I'm not allowed to pick? Can I write down my thoughts?"

"You can use any currently active hero of your choosing, and I encourage you to write things down" Eraserhead said.

Izuku simply nodded, and turned back to Power Loader, and said, "Alright, I'm ready whenever you are"

Power Loader nodded and began explaining the prompt, "A group of three villains have robbed a bank and are now making their getaway in a pickup truck, one is sitting in the bed of the truck, while the others are riding in the cab. Any time the police attempt to approach the truck, they are stopped by the road being torn apart in front of them. The truck is driving at dangerously high speeds for what the engine should allow, but it seems fine. At the bank there were burn marks on the floor and walls. What is your response?"

"The one sitting in the bed is likely the one responsible for the road obstructions" Izuku began as he wrote on the notepad in front of him, "I'd say he's got some kind of earth manipulation quirk similar to Pixie-Bob's Earth Flow, most quirks of that variety require some form of contact with the earth, and as stated, he's standing in the truck, also he's simply tearing up the road so that it's difficult to drive over without damaging the vehicles. Most likely they require either line of sight or an indirect contact, such as them being in the truck which is connected to the ground and they send their quirk through the truck like a conductor. It would be difficult to distinguish between which case without footage or more information from you. Additionally, based on the fact that they are only tearing apart the ground, we can assume that they either didn't consider building obstacles, or more likely can't. Based on this being an open bed truck, the villain must either be relying on one of his partners to deal with any attack from above. The truck is driving extremely quickly, which means one of the villains has some sort of mechanical augmentation quirk or some sort of acceleration quirk that can affect other matter, most likely that's the driver, if it's the latter, that might explain why the villains were able to get away before any heroes showed up, he could theoretically grind down the vault and open it so they could take the money. If it is the former, a similar logic applies to them, either grinding it down or manipulating how the locking mechanism is operating. Finally, the burn marks, initially one would assume that means fire, but fire isn't the only thing that leaves burns behind, if it were a fire quirk, they would have left the building on fire, more likely the quirk is electricity based. Depending on how much control the villain has on his quirk, they may not pose much of a threat unless they want to risk lighting the gas tank on fire. The fact that they were placed in the cab rather than the bed means that they likely can't control where their lightning will strike, otherwise I would have swapped the two villains to maximize efficiency." Izuku concluded with his analysis of the villains' quirks, as well as the fourth page of notes he'd taken. The three men looked at Izuku Vlad and Power Loader's mouths were hanging open at the analysis.

Eraserhead broke the silence, "So, are those your final answers?"

"Those are my general ideas, yes" Izuku responded before continuing, "Now onto the heroes I'd pick, I'd say first and foremost, apprehend the guy in the back, for this any sort of approach from the ground won't help, we have no idea as to the limits of his quirk, so it'd be a waste of time to try and attack from behind, from above however, the odds are slightly more in our favor. A practical hero to serve as a diversion would work. If we had you, Erasehead, follow from behind we could impede their ability to deter any ground based pursuit. Meanwhile sending Hawks from above would work to incapacitate them, additionally he could send his feathers into the tires of the truck forcibly slowing them down. Next, we should consider the passenger, assuming they have an electric based quirk the vigilante GumGum would be ideal. Their quirk makes their body nearly identical to rubber, making them an insulator to any electric based attacks, additionally due to their ability to stretch themselves they could act as additional pursuit or capture support. They could block the road and catch the truck, or if they try to escape, quickly grab them and reel them back in before they make any major ground. Finally, the vigilante Stendhal could be good to prevent any resistance and, non-lethally, take down the villains. His quirk, Bloodcurdle, enables him to paralyze the target after he ingests their blood, based on what is known, he is proficient in throwing knives and swordplay, if he can land a cut on any of them, he would be able to neutralize them temporarily. He could either act as a means to prevent any escape, as he tends to stick to rooftops and alleyways, or act in coordinated pursuit in conjunction with Hawks. Hawks could control his feathers, get a cut on the villains, and send the feather to Stendhal enabling the paralysis to take effect. I believe that would work, assuming that my deduction of the quirks was correct."

The panel of heroes was quiet. Power Loader looked at his clipboard, showed it to Erasehead whose eyes widened slightly, before it was passed to Vlad whose jaw dropped.

"I know that he recommended you, but did the rat tell you any of this scenario before you came here?" Eraserhead asked

"No, I haven't talked to him in about a week. Trying to prevent any questions about the integrity of my exams. Show no bias and whatnot"

Eraserhead let out a sigh "100%"

Power Loader spoke up "50% of the assignment was determining what quirks would be effective in taking down the villains, you scored full points there. Based on your question and Eraserhead's approval of vigilantes if you knew their quirks properly. GumGum and Stendhal are both in the system, and therefore have their quirks documented. So we can confirm that you were accurate there. Regarding the other 50%, based on the information we gave, all of your answers were acceptable, in fact you even dodged the red herring of the scorch marks being from electricity instead of fire. That would have cost you if you didn't catch that"

Vlad King looked to Izuku and spoke "You brought up the Kamen Rider, why didn't you use them"

Izuku shrugged "Not as optimal, while I could have included them as air support, giving Hawks more room to work and having him be the main offense of the heroes seemed more efficient. Fierce Wings synergized better with bloodcurdle and does not impede vision as much as the known ranged attacks of the Kamen Rider. So, he synergises better with Eraserhead and Stendhal. Additionally, it is unknown how the Kamen Rider's abilities would affect GumGum, while I can make assumptions, Hawks was a safer option as we know that GumGum's quirk makes him resistant to piercing and cuts therefore he could act in close quarters with minimal risk."

Vlad nodded, accepting the answer. "Alright then, Power Loader will lead you to Nezu's office so that you can conduct your interview. For reference it will be recorded and judged by a panel as well, once again to ensure that there is no bias on Nezu's part"

"Makes sense. Lead the way, Power Loader."

Power Loader stood up and left the room with Izuku behind him. Once they left Vlad slumped in his chair and looked at Eraserhead. "100% That kid is good"

Eraserhead maintained his blank face "His analysis was no joke; I can practically hear the rat cackling from here."

"How doomed are we?"

"When the rat's world conquest starts, I feel glad to be on his team"

"You would help Nezu take over the world"

"First rule of being Nezu's student: If and/or when Nezu decides to take over the world, you are in. No debate."

Vlad blinked before slowly asking "You're joking right"

"Nope. Nezu teaches you, he cares for you, he protects you. In return you help him clean up society, by any means necessary. If a school needs to burn you don't stop him, you make sure that nobody is nearby when it happens"

Vlad sat there in silence, staring at his colleague. "Oh, oh no"

"... starting now" Power Loader said as he led Izuku to his exam.

Melissa quickly pulled out a notebook and began writing down a few heroes that she knew well enough to design for. Ingenium, Hawks, Lady Nagant, All Might, Overflow. But none of them seemed right, she spun her pen on her finger and smiled. Power Loader never said licensed hero after all. Quickly pulling out a blueprint she filled out the client section.

Hero: Kamen Rider: Build.

Product Name: Drill Crusher

Izuku and Melissa had brought up building a weapon meant to work with any combination of bottles, and here was her chance to design it. She'd been mulling over the general design of it for the past month, but never put pen to paper until now. The design was rather straightforward, a one handed grip, with a bottle loader on the side, and two connecting ports, one on top, and one on the other side. Connected to either port was as the name suggested, a conical drill, when connected to the top port, would be able to function like a blade, while also capable of spinning at high speeds. Inverting the cone and placing the point in the side port converted the item from a blade to a gun, which, when loaded with energy from a bottle, could fire a blast with varying effects based on the loaded bottle. Going back over the design, she added little notes around the picture such as "Titanium" pointed at the drill, or "simple connection" pointed at the ports on the handle. When she finished her second pass over her design, she looked up on the clock. 1:15:12, plenty of time to do the blueprint. She turned her attention back to the papers in front of her and got to work.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Alright, stop where you are, and leave anything you want to be seen in front of you, pack up anything extra" Power Loader said to the group of students. Melissa hadn't noticed when the hero returned. Melissa put away her notebook and left her blueprint in front of her. Power Loader gave all the students a few moments to put away anything they wanted before he continued, "Alright, now that everyone is ready, do we have any volunteers?"

Melissa raised her hand, and Power Loader chuckled to himself "of course it's the other one"

He cleared his throat and spoke up to the rest of the examinees "All right, the floor is yours"

Melissa quickly set up the blueprint so that the others could view it. She took a deep breath and spun so she was facing the others. She smiled, Showtime.

"Hello everyone, my name is Melissa Shield. As you know our task was to design a support item for the hero of our choice. Before I start, I ask you this, what makes a hero? Is it the strength of their punches? How fast they can run? How many they save in a week?" She shook her head "No, a hero is someone who does the right thing regardless of the situation, someone who is always willing to lend a helping hand, someone who doesn't wait to get a piece of plastic to tell them that they can save a life. That is why the hero I chose to support was the Kamen Rider: Build." The class murmured a bit about her choice while Power Loader leaned back, an intrigued look on his face. "Based on what we have seen of the Kamen Rider, they specialize in being a jack of all trades type hero. Able to adapt to various situations and equip themselves accordingly. However, what happens if Build does not have time to change their suit. As we saw with the debut battle against Mirko, the Kamen Rider gained the edge once they changed their strategy to better counter Mirko directly. But they would not have been able to change if Mirko did not present them with ample time to change. If they are to be successful, they will need a backup plan. That is where this comes in." She took a step to the side to show off her blueprint. "I present you with the Drill Crusher, a multipurpose weapon designed to be functional regardless of whatever form the Kamen Rider takes. It will serve as a generic melee and ranged option to better aid Build's fighting prowess. The weapon itself will be able to switch between a gun and blade form to suit the situation and can be quickly swapped by connecting the drill component to one of these two nodes. In theory, Build should be able to filter their various abilities through the Drill Crusher in order to augment its effectiveness. As we have seen, Build possesses a versatile arsenal, ranging from flight to literal fire power. However, we have seen more of Build without the "heavy hitters" in their arsenal. The Drill Crusher will provide Build with a means to retaliate with an increased variety in their arsenal at a fraction of the time to equip. As stated earlier, Build is a jack of all trades, therefore what better way to help them help others than to provide a tool that can serve Build regardless of their current set up. Jack of all trades may be the master of none, but with the help of the Drill Crusher, Build can be the one who will always come out on top. Thank you" she finished with a bow. There was an awkward silence before the other examinees began clapping. A smile broke out on Melissa's face.

"Alright then" Power Loader started, "who's next?"

Izuku walked into Nezu's office to be greeted by Nezu seated at his desk, a chess board fully set and two cups of tea ready.

"Huh, what is the flavor of the day Mr. Principal"

"Golden Tips Imperial, it was recommended to me during an interview with one of the field heroic examinees."

"And you being you, already had some in stock."

"Indeed Mr. Midoriya. Now shall we talk over a game of chess and a cup of tea"

"It would be my pleasure Nezu"

"Now then let's get the longer question out of the way." Nezu pulled out Izuku's exam from earlier. "The final free response question: Why do you want to be a hero? Your answer was quite fun to read, and it had Mic very confused. 'As far as I'm aware, as long as I am using what I have to help people, I am a hero. A hero doesn't help for fame or money, they help because they can. I want to be a hero because it will make it easier for me to help others. I consider myself a hero because I do all I can to help others. The only thing that says that I am not a hero is the lack of a plastic card telling me I can save a life. So, I don't want to become a hero, I already see myself as one, all I need to do is go through the proper steps so that I can more easily help others.'" Nezu finished reading off of the paper and laughed. "You never cease to bring a smile to my face, Izuku. You are correct, the only thing saying you are not a hero is the license. I am well aware of your extracurriculars, and I look forward to seeing the look on my staff's faces when you inform them after you get in."

"I didn't hear an if" Izuku stated

Nezu grew a maniacal grin "Since we met, I knew you'd get in with ease, you scored a 96% on the entrance exam and placed third in the heroics practical. Not to mention your analysis exam was designed by me yesterday, given that you scored a hundred percent we would be foolish not to take you. Not to mention this is our fifth stalemate this month." Nezu finished gesturing at the board.

Izuku matched Nezu's grin "So, I'm guessing the rest of our time here will be friendly chatter while we play chess"

"Did you expect any different Izuku"

"No, I did not. Sensei."

Melissa was seated outside of Nezu's office, she was confident. After all she lived with Izuku, she could handle Nezu. She began to think of what Nezu would ask her, how she would need to respond, and how Izuku was doing in there. She was broken from her thoughts when Izuku opened the door and walked out, a blank look on his face.

"How was it?"

Izuku grew a small smirk "No spoilers, but I'll say this seven times"

"Seven times? Seven times what?"

Izuku gave a cheeky grin and said nothing. Melissa sighed and Nezu called her in.

She walked into the office to see two cups of tea set on Nezu's desk, Nezu himself was seated putting away what looked like a chess board.

"Ah Ms. Shield, good to see you again." He extended a paw which Melissa shook. "Now then, this interview will be relatively simple, I'll explain as we go. Would you care for some tea?"

Melissa nodded and took a small sip of her tea, she smiled "Lavender?"

"Izuku said that flavor helps you to relax, you've both had a long day after all"

Melissa's smile grew "Thank you sir"

"My pleasure, now shall we get started." He pulled out her exam. "Why do you want to be a hero? Similar to Izuku you had a very fun response, however yours was a bit more straightforward."

Nezu began to read her response "A hero may acknowledge they are a hero but does not become one just to be a hero. A hero is someone who will always reach their hand to others. Someone who will always try to help others. I want to be a hero in order to reach out to as many people as possible. To be able to help as many people as I can. To inspire others to help one another. No hero is invincible, I am well aware of that. But a hero shouldn't be, after all a hero is still just a person. A person who wants to do the right thing. I may not have any flashy superpower that I was born with, but I can still work just as hard to be a hero, if not harder. I will surpass any limits set before me, truly going Plus Ultra to be the best hero that I can be."

Melissa smiled as her answer was read. Nezu looked back up to her and said "Looking between your answer and Izuku's I notice the similar thought that anyone can be a hero, all they have to do is try. However, I notice that while Izuku said he was a hero, you said you will be one. Why is that"

Melissa blinked, took a sip of her tea, then responded "Unlike Izuku, I haven't done anything yet. I've just been supporting him, and I know that I've contributed to his success, he constantly reminds me how we are partners. But…" she leaned forward "I haven't reached my own hand out yet."

Nezu gave Melissa a warm smile "And that is where I disagree."

Melissa looked up and Nezu continued "During my discussion with Izuku earlier I asked him about you. His opinion of you. And do you know what he said? He said that you were one of the strongest people he knew, that whenever he was lost you were there to find him. Ms. Shield, you may not have realized it but you have reached out, you reached him, and because of that he is now able to reach out to others. I know that it may seem like he is further ahead, but you are more than capable. You have worked hard to be here, and I know that you will continue to thrive in whatever path you take. Melissa, you have a brilliant mind and a heroic heart, I look forward to the day where I can call you one of my students"

Melissa began to tear up slightly "I thought this was an interview. Not a pep talk"

"No reason why it can't be both. I have the luxury of knowing you earlier, so I already know that you are a perfect fit for UA, I just want you to know that you deserve to be here too"

"Thank you Nezu"

"No, thank you." he clapped his paws together "now then, let's talk a bit more, shall we?"

Melissa nodded with a bright smile "right, thank you, sensei"

Eijiro walked towards the gates of UA, surrounded by the hundreds of other students he'd be taking, he was nervous, but who wouldn't be, this was UA, the top Hero School in the country. Mina was walking with him, which made him a little less anxious, at least he wasn't the only person from school who'd be taking the exam, not to mention wherever Izuku and Melissa were. Speaking of the duo, he looked up and saw Izuku and Melissa leaning up against the school gates. He ran over to them, excited to see his friends "Midobro, Melissa, good to see you, good luck on the exam"

Mina had followed him and chimed in, "Yeah, we're all going to rock it!"

"Oh, we already took the exam," Melissa said casually.

"What?!" Mina let out a high pitched scream at Melissa's response.

"How is that possible?" Eijiro asked.

"Oh, we took the recommendation exam a few weeks ago, you guys are looking at two of UA's newest students," Melissa said with pride.

"How did you two get into the recommendation exam?"

"I know a guy," Izuku shrugged, "We just showed up to wish you guys well, you both have worked hard, you got this!"

"THAT'S SO MANLY THANK YOU GUYS!"

Izuku smiled, offering a thumbs up to Eijiro and Mina, "Good luck you two, oh and by the way, if Present Mic asks the audience to say 'Hey', do it. Trust me you'll make his day"

"Will do Mido!" Mina said, excitedly pumping her fist in the air. With that, the two duos parted ways, Eijiro and Mina rejoining the crowd heading towards the rooms for the written exams. There were all kinds of people in the crowd, one girl had vines for hair, another boy had a bird head, seeing the competition just got Eijiro more pumped.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – After the Written Portion – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Eijiro walked out of the classroom where he'd taken the written exam feeling good, he had never been more thankful for all the study sessions with Izuku and Melissa. Between all the sparring and energetic discussions about heroes, it sometimes slipped his mind that both Izuku and Melissa were certifiable geniuses. However, it was now time to get serious, the practical was next, and that had more weight on it than the written exam. Following the crowd, he reunited with Mina when they were seated next to one another in the auditorium for orientation for the practical. They saw Present Mic standing on the stage, and both nodded to one another as Mic began to speak, "WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW! EVERYBODY SAY HEEEEY!"

"HEEEEY!" The pair shouted, not another voice joining them.

On stage, Present Mic shook back tears as he pumped his fist I'M TWO FOR TWO THIS YEAR!, before resuming his speech, "THANK YOU LISTENERS! AND FOR THE REST OF YOU, DON'T WORRY I GET THAT Y'ALL ARE NERVOUS. SO LET ME GIVE YOU ALL THE LOW-DOWN ON HOW YOUR PRACTICAL EXAMS WILL GO!"

The screen behind him lit up, "AS YOU LISTENERS KNOW FROM YOUR APPLICATION, YOU'LL BE CONDUCTING 10 MINUTE MOCK URBAN BATTLES, YOU CAN BRING WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH YOU. AFTER MY SHOW'S OVER, YOU'LL GO TO YOUR SPECIFIED TESTING CENTER" Mic paused quickly to let people check their testing ground, Eijiro was at site D, while Mina was at Site E.

"OKAY!" Mic resumed, "IN EACH TESTING SITE, THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF FAUX VILLAINS, YOU EARN POINTS BASED ON THE DIFFICULTY OF THE VILLAIN YOU DEFEAT. YOUR GOAL, MY DEAR LISTENERS, IS TO USE YOUR QUIRKS TO EARN POINTS BY IMMOBILIZING THE FAUX VILLAINS. OF COURSE, ATTACKING ANY OTHER EXAMINEES, OR OTHER UNHEROIC ACTIONS ARE PROHIBITED" While he was explaining this a pixelated version of Mic had appeared on screen and started walking through the city, attacking the faux villains. At this point, a boy with blue hair a few rows ahead of Eijiro raised his hand and spoke up saying "May I ask a question?"

"OKAY!"

"The printout shows that there are four types of villains. If this is a misprint, the UA, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We are here because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes" He asked.

"OKAY EXAMINEE NUMBER 7111. GREAT OBSERVATION, THE FOURTH TYPE IS WORTH ZERO POINTS, THIS GUY'S NOTHING BUT AN OBSTACLE. THERE'S ONE IN EVERY TEST CENTER, AND IT'LL GO CRAZY IN NARROW SPACES, IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT, BUT THERE'S NO POINT, IT'S JUST BETTER TO AVOID IT. NOW THAT'S ALL FROM ME, BUT I'LL LEAVE YOU LISTENERS WITH OUR SCHOOL MOTTO. THE HERO NAPOLEON BONAPARTE ONCE SAID: 'A TRUE HERO IS SOMEONE WHO OVERCOMES LIFE'S MISFORTUNES' GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!" Mic answered.

After Mic exited, all the students filed out of the auditorium and onto buses marked with their testing site. A short ride later, Eijiro stood in front of the giant gates into the test site, his fellow examinees surrounding him. There was the same boy with the bird head, as well as a boy with blond hair and no lips. He clenched his fists and got ready to go. Suddenly Mic's voice came over the intercom, "OKAY, START! WHAT? THERE'S NO COUNTDOWNS IN A REAL FIGHT GET GOIN'"

Eijiro bolted into the testing grounds, everyone else quickly following behind him. He hardened his arms as he began scouting for villains, a two point villain stood directly in front of him, he ran straight up to it, and jammed his hardened fist into the villain's neck and it collapsed. As he was removing his hand from the robot, another two point robot appeared, and he jammed his other fist into the front of its body, having similar success to the first robot. With four points under his belt, Eijiro got a move on, on the prowl for other villains to defeat. As he was running, he saw a one-pointer who seemed to be giving trouble to another examinee. Without hesitation, he ran up and smashed the robot's head in, he looked over at the student who'd been fighting the robot, he gave Eijiro a look of appreciation, before the two separated. As he continued running through the city, he saw a boy and girl who were seemingly stuck in the ground, which had softened like mud. Villains were quickly closing in on the two, Eijiro ran up, and pulled the two out of the softened ground, before all three let the villains nearby have it. The clock continued to wind down, and Eijiro continued crushing villain bots, as well as helping anyone he came across. About eight minutes had passed in the exam, when suddenly the ground started rumbling as if there was an earthquake, Eijiro looked up to see a massive robot bigger than some of the buildings towering over him and the rest of the examinees. He wanted to go up and fight it, but he knew that his chances were slim, so he followed the rest of the examinees, who had all turned and started running away. As he fled, he saw a girl trip, he stopped to make sure she was okay before he scooped her up and continued running. Suddenly, the buzzer sounded signaling the end of the exam.

"AND THAT'S TIME! GREAT WORK LISTENERS! NOW, RETURN TO THE BUSES, AND REPORT TO THE GYMS FOR THE QUIRK SHOWCASE!" Mic shouted. Eijiro caught his breath, exhausted both from all the fighting, and then the running. He shuffled back to the bus along with the other examinees. When they got to the gym, all the students were told to line up single file and would be given three minutes to explain and demonstrate their quirks to the judges. The panel had five people on it, one guy was dressed in red, another was shirtless with a yellow helmet, the third looked like a hobo, the fourth was Snipe, who he remembered from when Izuku had shown Eijiro his notes, and the fifth was a large stocky gray man with a literal block head. While waiting in line, Eijiro learned that the boy with no lips was responsible for the softened ground, and the bird kid had a shadow that flew out of his chest. When it was finally his turn, he took a deep breath and introduced himself, "My name is Kirishima Eijiro, and I attend Mustafu Private High School. My quirk is called Hardening," Eijiro gave a demonstration, hardening his right arm, and punching a hole in the cement demo wall right next to him. Four of the five heroes looked somewhat impressed by his showing. However, the hobo still seemed like he wanted to know more. Eijiro continued his demo, explaining how durable his hardened skin was, as well his pain tolerance on his hardened skin. When he was done, the panel told him he was done, and he'd done a good job. All in all he felt good.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Two Weeks Later– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Eijiro's letter had come in the mail, it was from UA, and it felt heavy. He ran up to his room, he was somewhat scared to open it, but he knew he'd have to open it eventually, so he decided now or never. As he tore the envelope open, a small disk fell out onto his desk, and a projection was displayed. On the screen he saw a small white rodent appeared and he spoke "Hello Mr. Kirishima, am I a mouse? Am I a dog? Am I a bear? The answer is, I'm the principal!" Eijiro's mouth dropped, as the recording continued "I am here to congratulate you on your acceptance to UA University Hero Course. You were slightly above average on the written exam, with you scoring a 77%, however where you truly shined was in the practical. During the course of the practical you scored 39 villain points. While this is very middle of the road in terms of points, it was not the only thing we were scoring you on, in addition to your villain points, we were also judging you based on your other actions, and how you acted as a hero. During the exam you never hesitated to offer your aid to your fellow examinees, regardless of the risks. You proved yourself a true hero, as a result we awarded you 35 rescue points, bringing your total score to 74, making you our number two scorer. Congratulations, welcome to the next step on your journey to becoming a hero. Welcome to your hero academia."

Eijiro stared at the screen in disbelief for a solid minute, before letting out a victory scream. He reached for his phone and texted Izuku, Melissa, and Mina

"3 M's and an E"

Eijiro: I GOT IN!

Midobro: Nice! Good work Kiribro, I knew you'd make it

Mina: Don't think you get to celebrate alone Kiri, guess who's joining you!

Melissa: Yay Mina!

Midobro: Good job Mina!

Melissa: Let's all get lunch tomorrow to celebrate.

Mina: I'll be there!

Eijiro: Me too.

Eijiro put his phone down, thankful for his friends. As he looked in the mirror at his black hair that draped down around his eyes. As he did, he thought, New school, let's try a new look.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – One Week Earlier– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

All the teachers were gathered in Gym Gamma, all of them questioning why they had been summoned when there were still entrance exams to evaluate before acceptance letters could be sent. In front of each of them was a thick packet of paper, all Nezu had told them was they had to sign it. After Aizawa had begrudgingly agreed and signed, the door opened and out walked Izuku Midoriya and Melissa Shield, the two support recommendation students. All heads looked between the walking nightmare that they knew Izuku was, and Nezu, who simply smiled demonically.

A confused look grew on Aizawa's face as he turned to Nezu "Why are two future students at this meeting?"

"Because this meeting is about them, Shota!" Nezu replied chipperly

Aizawa and the rest of the staff looked back at the duo. Melissa had a small smile on her face, while Izuku stood there with a bored look and his hands in the pockets of his trench coat.

"Did they all sign it, Nezu?

"Indeed, they did Izuku"

"Can someone tell me what we signed" Midnight questioned

"Oh, a simple NDA sponsored and approved by both the HPSC and Nezu" Melissa commented

"Why the hell would both of them need us to sign an NDA?" Aizawa asked

"The same reason as to why so much of our files is classified" Izuku shrugged

"And why is that?"

Nezu grew a devilish grin "Izuku, my dear new personal student, would you please begin the experiment"

Izuku's bored look transformed to match Nezu's "Gladly, sensei"

Izuku equipped the Build Driver and pulled out two bottles, shook them and twisted the cap.

"Allow me to show you why our files are classified"

He loaded the bottles into the driver.

Hawk! Gatling!

BEST MATCH!

Are you ready?!

Henshin!

The Rampage of the Skies! HawkGatling! YEAH!

The teachers stared at Izuku, eyes growing wide.

"WAIT A MINUTE, THE LITTLE LISTENER IS THE KAMEN RIDER!" Mic shouted

"Yes, that is what we are informing you of, Yamada" Nedzu answered before turning to Izuku "Now then, Izuku let us show them what you can do before you get your end of the deal"

"He gets something out of this. What?" Aizawa questoned

"Oh, nothing much Eraser, just some blood from half of you" Izuku answered "And don't worry about consent, you already signed the agreement"

"I thought it was an NDA" Snipe stated

"Oh, it is, just with the inclusion of the blood as collateral. If Build's identity is revealed to be a quirkless UA student, we assume he'd get a lot of resistance going forward" Melissa responded

"WAIT HE'S QUIRKLESS, THEN HOW DID HE PULL OFF THAT TIME DURING THE EXAM"

"Push-ups, sit-ups, and a good shake of a bottle" Izuku joked. "Now then, shall we begin the experiment?"

Aizawa sighed, smirking into his scarf "I knew you were a problem child"

After Izuku's Interview

"...Now I believe Ms. Shield is outside, so I think it's time we finish this up." Nezu said in the recording.

"I think you're right. Oh, by the way, Checkmate" Izuku responded, moving his knight. After that, he got up and shook Nezu's paw before moving towards the door.

The recording stopped, and the panel of teachers just stared, most wide eyed and jaws dropped, the one exception being Eraserhead.

"What…did we just watch?" Midnight asked the others. Eraserhead hid himself further in his sleeping bag, before letting out a slightly muffled reply, "We've just seen the kid who'll help the rat bring about the end of the world, now I don't know about you, but I know I'll be on good terms with them, because I'm not fighting them.

"I'm sure it's not that bad Shota" Mic said nervously

"That kid just played 10 games of chess against the rat, survived, had seven stalemates, and won the last game." Aizawa deadpanned

Nemuri shivered "Yup, we are doomed. Can we join the team Sho?"

"It's either that or you will perish"

"You're joking right, Sho?"

Aizawa merely blinked

"RIGHT?!"
