Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom, and the walk path that led to UA's front gate was lined with Sakura trees. Eijiro walked along said path, taking in the fresh air as he approached the beginning of his next step on the path to becoming a hero. He reached up and felt his now red hair, which after ten minutes and a good quarter of a bottle of hair gel, was standing straight up, two tufts at the front pulled out to look like horns. He'd gotten over the threshold, he was in UA, but now the hard work began, and he wanted to look, and feel confident, which the new hairstyle managed to help. Suddenly from behind he heard a familiar voice scream out "EEEEEH?!"

Eijiro turned around to see Mina, who started skipping towards him, questioning him as she did, "Woah whadja do to your head?! Get a new look for college? You've got horns like me. We're horn buddies now!"

A serious look crossed Eijiro's face "I did some thinking"

"That's dangerous"

"And I don't want to be scared, before we really became friends I was a person far from being manly. I honestly was pretty pathetic." A forlorn look was on his face, before shifting into a look of determination. "But when I started hanging out with Midobro, Melissa, and you, I realized something. I want to be someone who can stand proud alongside you guys when we become heroes. I was filled with doubt before, but now I won't hesitate. I'll never regret my past inaction ever again. I'm gonna be a hero who can protect people. So, I'm saying sayonara to my old pathetic self"

A massive smile grew on Mina's face "Kiri, I think I speak for our entire group when I say you are far from pathetic. I know I'm not the smartest in our group, that crown is shared by Midobabe and Melly, but I think that wanting to change into a version of yourself that makes you happy is pretty cool. So, let's stop all the serious talk and actually take our first steps to be heroes. Because if you want to grow, then we aren't doing much good standing here now, are we?"

A softer smile formed on Eijiro's face as he nodded, the two then walked into the school, making small talk on the way.

Eventually, Eijiro and Mina both stood in front of a door with a large 1-AB on it, they both took a deep breath, and Eijiro opened the door to a large classroom, a few people had already arrived, but most weren't there yet. The blue haired boy who'd asked a question during the entrance exam was already there, along with a boy with spiky blond hair. The blue haired boy seemed to be lecturing the blond one while his arms were possessed by some sort of demon, "Don't put your legs on the desk! Don't you think that's disrespectful towards your classmates!?"

The blond guy had a look all too familiar to Eijiro, he was looking down on the blue haired guy. An arrogant look was plastered across his face as he spoke. "No, as a matter of fact, I don't think so. Which school are you from anyway, you two-bit extra!?"

Eijiro and Mina both looked at each other and back at the scene before them, silently agreeing to try and avoid whatever drama was occurring in front of them. Having found a couple of seats close to the front, Eijiro and Mina waited for the rest of their class to arrive, the pair had their eyes glued to the doors, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Melissa and Izuku. Five minutes before class started, someone dressed in a red skintight suit walked through the door, carrying a stack of papers in one hand, and a big yellow sack over his shoulder, when he got to the front he dropped the sack with a thud, and began organizing his papers. Out of the corner of his eye, Eijiro noticed the sack begin to move and inch around the room as if it were a caterpillar.

The bell rang and the man in red did a quick count of the room. "Alright, everyone seems to be here so let's begin class" he said, "my name is Sekijiro Kan, also known as the hero Vlad King. I'm one of the Hero course homeroom teachers this year."

"Sir!" the blue haired kid shouted, "you said one of the hero course homeroom teachers where is the other. It is highly improper for a faculty member to be late, especially on the first day at this prestigious-"

Suddenly a voice spoke from behind the students causing most of them to jump. "If you spent more time paying attention to your surroundings instead of nitpicking you may have noticed the bright yellow sleeping bag crossing the room." A tired looking man wearing all black with a white scarf spoke, leaning against the wall, the yellow sleeping bag laid at his feet. He sighed and shook his head. "Thirty-four. Thirty-four out of the forty field hero students here have such poor spatial awareness. But to answer your question, my name is Shota Aizawa, your other field heroics homeroom teacher."

Vlad spoke up, gathering the attention of the class "We will do your introductions later, now we will give a quick debrief of today's plan before we head to orientation. First of all, congratulations, you are forty of our forty-two first year field heroics students, welcome to UA. Today will be a shorter day, we will have orientation, then head outside for a quirk apprehension test. Any immediate questions?"

Once again, the blue haired boy spoke, his arms recreating the demonic motions from earlier. "Sir, you said that there were forty-two hero course students, yet only forty of us are here. Shouldn't we have waited until the two missing ones showed up and hold them accountable for the delay that they are causing"

"The only delay I see is you with your pointless question." Aizawa deadpanned, "for your information the problem child and his partner in crime are hybrid students and are currently in the support classroom 1-H. You will meet them at a later time, most likely your first heroics class."

Vlad nodded and continued. "Additionally due to their different schedules they will not be with you for the quirk apprehension test, however if you wish to see them in action feel free to stay after school and watch them."

Vlad King then crossed the room over to Aizawa, who was back in the sleeping bag and effortlessly picked him up and threw him back over his shoulder, then walked out like nothing was wrong. Most of the class just sat, contemplating what Aizawa had said or curious about the two other students. The silence was broken by a loud voice saying "ALRIGHT! LET'S GET THIS STARTED" Eijiro and Mina looked up to see a tall boy with buzzed, dark brown hair, he had this look of passion in his eyes. After the sort of call to action by their classmate, everyone started filing out of the lecture hall, headed for the auditorium for orientation.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – After Orientation – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

As they walked through the halls towards the locker rooms, a girl with black hair tied in a large ponytail spoke up, "I suggest we take Mr. Aizawa's advice and watch those two hybrid students do these tests after school."

Several people nodded in agreement, some mentioning wanting to get to know them, Eijiro and Mina simply smiled at one another, both knowing who the two hybrid students were. At this point the angry blond from earlier spoke up, "Whatever, if those extras can't get into the regular hero course, why should I bother watching them do something as pointless as this?"

As if on cue, Aizawa suddenly appeared, and delivered a message with a harsh tone in his voice, "Oh you think this is pointless? Well, how about this then, whoever the bottom two students are in this test will be expelled from the university. Now, hurry and get changed, and be outside in 10 minutes or you'll be the ones expelled."

Having delivered his message, Aizawa vanished, leaving the students in a state of shock for a good ten seconds. After which they all started sprinting for the locker rooms. Eijiro entered the Men's locker room with most of the others and found a locker with a little card with his name on it. He opened it up and pulled out the gym uniform that was sitting inside and began changing. As he did one boy with blond hair with a black lightning bolt looking streak spoke up "So the whole, bottom two get expelled is a joke, right?"

"I don't know, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd joke" Another boy with black hair tied into a ponytail answered. Most seemed to agree with that answer as they all finished changing and walked outside.

Once everyone had gathered, Aizawa explained the test "Alright, so everyone remembers the fitness tests you had to do every year in middle school and high school?"

His question was met with a mixture of nods and groans, after which he continued, "Today you're going to be doing those same tests, however this time, you have full permission to use your quirks as much as you want," he looked over to the angry blond kid, "Bakugo, you placed first in the practical exam, right?"

"Yeah, and what of it?"

"What was the farthest you ever threw a ball in high school?"

"78 meters"

"Alright, now try using your quirk," Aizawa said, passing a softball to the boy now known as Bakugo, who walked into the circle behind Aizawa. After about two minutes of stretching, Bakugo wound up and threw the ball, as he released the ball an explosion fired from his hand, and he yelled out "DIE!"

The ball flew off into the distance, once it landed, Aizawa turned and showed them the score: 705.2 Meters. The rest of the students stared in awe at the score, several making comments about how far it'd been thrown. Everyone was still on edge after Aizawa's declaration in the halls.

"Now, everyone line up, we're starting with the 50 meter dash"

The 50 meter dash was done in groups of four, with the groups determined by seat number, which coincidentally put Eijiro in the same group as Mina, as well as the blond kid with the black lightning bolt and a short girl with brown hair that covered her eyes. All four lined up, their feet placed in the starting blocks. A little camera robot on a tripod sat at the end of the stretch, a high pitched voice saying "On your marks. Get set…" followed by a starting gun. All four of the students started going, Mina quickly took the lead, using her acid to skate down the stretch. Eijiro was close behind her and while he didn't pass her, he did finish with a good time of 5.03 seconds, the blond boy finished about a second after he did, and the girl a few seconds after that.

The next test was the grip strength test, Eijiro was able to do above average with 130 kg, but one boy with six arms and a mask over his nose and mouth blew his score out of the water, he had scored 600 kg. Following that up they went to do the standing long jump, Eijiro landed just past the sandbox, his quirk couldn't exactly help most of these tests, so he was relying on pure physical fitness to clear the tests. Some people cleared the sandbox, most notably the loud boy with the buzzcut who flew over the box, and a blond boy with a belt around his waist, who blasted himself across with a laser blast. The next event was repeated side steps, the only person who did something of interest was the short girl who'd run the 50 meter dash with Eijiro, she instantly grew a couple clusters of mushrooms on either side of the line and bounced between them.

They finally got back to the ball throw; the test that had been used as a demonstration for this entire test. Eijiro found himself once again relying purely on physical strength to pass this test. One girl with brown hair in a bob cut touched the ball and it floated out of the atmosphere. The readout on Aizawa's phone simply showed infinite. The buzzcut kid threw the ball with a strong gust of wind as it left his hand, the ball traveled over a kilometer before it finally landed. Eijiro scored a respectable 101.1 meters. Another thing aside from some of Izuku's intelligence that had rubbed off on Eijiro was Izuku's fascination with quirks, he found himself fixated on many of the others and how they used their quirks.

The next test was the sit-up test, all Aizawa had said before they started was "see how many you can get." This led to Eijiro getting into a competition with the boy with silver hair next to him, both were keeping pace with one another. Eventually, somewhere in the 300's the boy with silver hair called it, Eijiro however continued for a good 32 past his opponent before stopping. The two shared a glance at each other before the silver haired boy held out a hand to help Eijiro up. "Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu."

"Eijiro Kirishima" the two shook hands and tested the other's grip, neither slacking, both boys broke into smirks.

"SO MANLY!"

Following up the sit-ups was seated toe-touch, Eijiro didn't do terribly well here, Mina however, rocked it, all those years of dance practice were paying off. The person who came closest to Mina's record was another girl with fawn colored hair who had lost to Mina by only a centimeter.

Closing out the test was the long distance run, once again Eijiro was above average, Mina had started out doing the same acid skating she'd done during the 50 meter dash, but she stopped part way through and just continued running barefoot, which actually still helped her. However, the person that got everyone's attention was the girl with the ponytail, who seemingly out of nowhere produced a scooter and rode it through the entire path. After that some people complained that she'd cheated, but Aizawa shut them all down with the statement "I did tell you use your quirks however you want didn't I"

After that the results were in for the entire test, the results for the top 5 and bottom 5 were shown

1. Inasa Yoarashi

2. Momo Yaoyorozu

3. Shoto Todoroki

4. Neito Monoma

5. Katsuki Bakugo

36. Kinoko Komori

37. Shihai Kuroiro

38. Reiko Yanagi

39. Kojiro Bondo

40. Yuga Aoyama

Aoyama, who as Eijiro learned was the blond boy with the belt, and Bondo, who was a tall yellow boy with seven hole-like eyes looked dejected, before a voice from seemingly nowhere said "Don't worry, there's still those other two students, so you're not out for sure." Everyone turned to look at the floating uniform who said that to the rest of the class.

The ray of hope the two students felt was quickly extinguished by a blunt statement from Aizawa, "No. The problem child and his partner would win without question. Third lesson of the day, never rely on someone you don't know anything about to succeed or fail in order for you to succeed"

The class looked at Aizawa and a red haired girl with a ponytail spoke up "Third lesson? What was the second?"

A sinister grin grew on Aizawa's face "That your hands won't be held here, not all quirks are good in every situation, and if you don't work hard, you won't survive here, let alone out there"

Aoyama continued looking at Aizawa, tears threatening to spill "D-d-does that mean"

Aizawa's grin widened "You all passed; the expulsion is a logical ruse I use to simulate the field. If you don't give it your all, you die, or in this case, get expelled and moved to general studies. You all worked hard, you all have potential, so you all get to stay in the hero course." The majority of the class let out a sigh of relief at Aizawa's explanation before he continued. "I wouldn't relax just yet, if Nezu and either Kan or I deem you unsuitable for the heroics course or another student shows more promise your seat could be up for grabs. Good luck"

The students went silent, several refusing to move. Kan sighed and looked at his class "Well that concludes our first day, please return to the classroom to grab your itineraries and belongings, if you wish to see the other two hero students do their tests feel free, Aizawa and I will be supervising."

"Hah! As if I care what two more extras can do, they won't even come close to beating me!" Bakugo shouted before he walked inside to grab his things before Todoroki spoke up.

"Considering that you placed 5th, I'd say several people have already beaten you"

"You say something you damn popsicle" Bakugo said looking spinning to face Todoroki who had started walking inside.

"That you are not the best, so don't act like it" he said not stopping.

"Oi! Get back here! You don't say shit like that and get to walk away!" Bakugo said, chasing after the multicolored boy.

"Anyone wish they had popcorn right now?" A boy with long black hair and weirdly shaped elbows, Sero, asked the crowd.

"Sign me up, this is too funny" A boy with black hair held up by a headband, Awase answered.

"It seems that our class possesses two isolated vessels" The boy with the bird head, Tokoyami, stated

"Indeed, truly two lost souls that refuse to cry out for another" A girl with white hair, Reiko, soberly added

A third boy, whose skin was completely black with white hair joined in "It fills me with worry to see such anguished souls amongst our peerage"

The three looked at each other and all spoke in unison "What a mad banquet of darkness"

A boy with purple hair and tired eyes spoke up after the interaction "I think we just witnessed the birth of a cult". His words caused the girl with vines for hair to put her hands together and begin to pray.

The tension was cut by a voice in the distance "See Mel, I told you most of them would stick around"

Eijiro and Mina turned to see Izuku and Melissa walking towards them with Aizawa, at which point Mina ran up to the two "MIDOOOO! MELLYYYY!" she shouted, glomping the duo.

"Good to see you too Mina" Melissa spoke with a soft smile

"Not that I want to break up this reunion, but who the hell are you two?" A boy with an insect mutation, Kamikiri, asked.

Izuku smirked, took his hands out of his pockets, and took a bow "Izuku Midoriya, one of the hybrid hero students. Pleasure"

Melissa stood up, setting Mina on the ground and did a small curtsy "Melissa Shield, the other hybrid hero student. Nice to meet you all"

"HAHAHAHA! IZUKU! Great to see you, my friend!" Inasa shouted, holding out a fist.

Izuku met his fist with his own. "Good to see you too man, now then you got the current scores?"

Vlad walked over to the students and spoke to the class. "I'm glad you two introduced yourselves, and regarding the scores, you can see them on this display here". Vlad once again opened the display, and Izuku and Meissa scanned over the names and scores.

Izuku mumbled to himself "Huh so Bakugo did end up getting here, neat". He then stood up straight and looked to the class, "Now then, let's get this show on the road. What's first, Vlad-sensei?"

"The 50 meter dash, line up over here"

Izuku shed his trench coat and put on a pair of gloves as he walked over to the starting line.

"Hey, what the hell's up with the gloves?" Awase, asked.

Izuku simply smiled and got lined up next to Melissa, the tracker robot spoke out, "On your marks. Get set…" followed by the starting gun. Izuku and Melissa took off, Izuku quickly pulled ahead and crossed the finish line, his time was 4.03 seconds, Melissa finished in 5.52 seconds. The rest of the tests went about the same, Izuku did fairly well, while Melissa did above average. Then they got to the ball throw.

"Midoriya, you're first," Aizawa said, throwing the ball to him. "Just stay in the circle".

Izuku smirked and began stretching, constantly shaking his hands in the process. He held up the ball with his left and aimed with his right, he went into a stance and threw the ball up, as it fell he launched his fist delivering a strong punch, kicking up dust behind him as the ball soared across the sky. He turned to Aizawa who was looking at the tracking gun before he turned it around showing it to the class. 742.0. Izuku smirked and walked towards Melissa who was walking toward the circle, they high fived as they passed each other, and Melissa received her ball from Aizawa. She tossed the ball in her hand a few times, getting a feel for its weight before taking a deep breath. Her face hardened and grew serious. Her eyes: calculating. She threw the ball before quickly drawing her pistol, firing several rounds into the ball, further accelerating it across the sky and out of sight. She looked to Aizawa who turned the screen for her to see. 256.7.

The two smiled as the scoreboard updated live:

1. Inasa Yoarashi

2. Momo Yaoyorozu

3. Shoto Todoroki

4. Izuku Midoriya

5. Neito Monoma

6. Katsuki Bakugo

17. Eijiro Kirishima

18. Melissa Shield

19. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu

20. Mina Ashido

21. Ochako Uraraka

"I'd call that experiment a success, wouldn't you Mel?" Izuku said turning to Melissa

A bright smile grew on her face "Yeah! We rocked it! Oh, I can't wait to go over all the data later"

The rest of the class looked at their two new classmates, mixed reactions were spread throughout the crowd. Some were hyped to see the two do so well, others were intimidated by how well they performed, a small group were confused regarding what they were nerding out about, and one smug looking blond was laughing at the name Katsuki Bakugo moving down to 6th. Said blond walked up to Izuku and held out a hand to Izuku.

"Neito Monoma, and I hope I speak for most of us when I say. It was truly beautiful to see that loud Pomeranian, Bakugo, get knocked out of the top five"

Izuku laughed "Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you Monoma, and it was my absolute pleasure. No hard feelings about knocking you down one?"

Neito waved his hand, dismissing the thought "Not at all, you worked just as hard today, if not harder than I did with my quirk. Plus, I'm still in top five, only losing to recommendation students is nothing to be ashamed of"

Izuku looked over to Melissa and smiled, pointing his thumb to Neito "I like this one". Izuku looked back and the two shared a laugh.

"Speaking of showing off" The fawn haired girl said walking over, a sway in her hips. "It was so totally lit, how you two went at it. Those tests were like, no joke. Super rad how well you did, way to show your stuff cuties"

Izuku blinked and spoke in perfect English "I have no idea what you just said, but I think it was a complement"

A small cheer was heard from the crowd as a short blond girl with big blue eyes, and a pair of large horns growing out of her head, ran up to Izuku and spoke in English "You speak English too! Hi! Nice to meet you! My name is Pony Tsunotori! Let's be friends!" a giant smile was across her face.

Izuku picked her up under her arms, getting a small meep from the girl, before he turned to Melissa and continued in English "She is so adorable! And she speaks English! I'm keeping her"

Melissa responded continuing in English, much to the confusion of their peers "Izu, she isn't a pet"

Izuku smiled and effortlessly put Pony on his shoulders "Not a pet Mel, another new friend!"

Melissa chuckled, shook her head, and shrugged.

The students continued to chat with one another for another 10 minutes before everyone went to the locker room to change and go home. While they waited for Izuku and Melissa to finish, Eijiro and Mina went and got their stuff from the lecture hall. As they were walking back, Melissa and Izuku met them in the halls. Eijiro broke the ice saying "Super manly work out there Midobro, I knew you'd do well!"

"You too Melly" Mina added, grinning widely before continuing, "also look at Kiri's hair! It's crazy right?"

"Crazy high maintenance, I spent over 5 minutes setting it this morning," Eijiro added with a sigh.

"Oh yeah, speaking of mornings" Mina asked, "How was your day?"

"Oh, you know," Izuku said, only to be suddenly cut off by an explosion coming from the support lab, knocking the door out of the frame and sending a pink haired figure crashing against a wall, before continuing, "normal stuff".

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – This Morning – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Izuku and Melissa opened the door into a giant lab, filled with computers, tools, and other students. There were a pair of unoccupied workstations near the front of the lab, where the duo sat down.

For the first few minutes sitting there, the class seemed normal, that illusion was shattered when they heard something explode from the workstation behind them, they turned around to see a girl with pink hair in dreadlocks and yellow eyes with cross-hairs holding a small box that was exuding smoke.

"HAH! See Mel, I told you I wasn't going to be the first one to blow something up!" Izuku cheered.

"Shouldn't you be more concerned that she blew something up already, we haven't even started class yet"

"Nah, she looks fine" he gestured back over to the pink haired girl who was already back at work on her little box. "I'm more curious about what she's working on"

Izuku then stood up and walked over with Melissa in tow, "Whatcha making?" The girl seemingly did not hear him as his question went unanswered. Izuku leaned in to get a closer look, his face right next to hers, with neither seeming to care about their close proximity. He began to mumble "hmm, I see. Based on the connections there, that is the power source, outputting from that port there. Using the shape and size as a reference point it seems to be some sort of converter with a propulsion aspect, perhaps an engine to some sort of jetpack or other flying apparatus"

Melissa sighed and shook her head at her friend's antics "Great, he's in lab mode already." she looked at the clock and shrugged "eh, we got twenty minutes might as well join in". Melissa walked over to the station and tapped the pink haired girl on the shoulder, getting no reaction she tried again this time causing her to turn her head to look at Melissa.

"Can I help you blondie?" she asked

"We want to know what you're working on"

The girl visibly brightened, a giant smile on her face "OH! This here is a prototype design for my air-based movement enhancer"

"Ah, so you aren't just making a jetpack, you're going to design the basis for an aerial movement attachment that can be applied across multiple inventions" Izuku noted.

The girl quickly turned to look at the other voice. She and Izuku were face to face, once again, neither noticing their close proximity, much to Melissa's disbelief. "Ah! You understand! Yeah, I could just go straight to my jetpack, but if I make the movement tech itself and patent that, the applications could extend much further than a simple jetpack"

"Smart, not to mention if you maintain the base design, it could be applied outside of just movement and also into propulsion, or other launching forms of support tech"

The duo continued to dive further into their discussion, barely pausing for breath. The conversation continued until there were only a few minutes until the class started. Power Loader had walked in and was setting up a presentation.

"... and if you flip the orientation of these two components you should be able to maintain your power output with less risk of an explosion occurring" Izuku suggested, pointing inside the mechanism.

"Hmm, yeah, that looks right, good catch greenie"

"Yeah, I've worked with parts like these before, you find a surprising amount of good scrap on Dagobah Beach"

The girl looked up, and slowly turned to Izuku "Hold up. You're the plunderer who's been jacking my scrap!"

"Ahh, then you must be Mei Hatsume, future founder of Hatsume Inc."

"Izu, how do you know that?" Melissa questioned

"She left her card on the labels she put on the scrap" he said pulling out a business card

"Why do you have that?" Izuku flipped the card over and passed it to Melissa who read it. "For pre-company products, approach the UA support department and place an order. Huh"

Izuku shrugged "I figured I might see her here so I was curious as to who would bring a label maker and claim about 47% of the scrap on the beach"

"At least you have the common sense to respect the label maker greenie" Mei spoke

"I'm more upset that you claimed most of the old tech, those circuit boards and old wirings are super useful. Not to mention the other metals you see there"

Mei nodded "Once I saw someone taking the scrap, I knew I needed to stake my claim on the good stuff. I would have done more but my label maker ran out of ammo"

"At least it was someone with good taste in parts"

Mei brightened "Finally someone can see the value in all that free material! Say greenie, want to make a baby with me!"

Melissa choked and Izuku spoke without hesitation "Hmm, with all the parts between the two of us, and seeing your proficiency here I'm sure whatever we build could be impressive. Not to mention we are both in the support department, working with our peers could lead to us both improving our skills. Yeah, sure. Let's do it"

Melissa choked again "I hope you two are talking about an invention"

The two looked at her and tilted their heads "what else would we be talking about?"

Melissa let out a sigh of relief "nothing, anyways class is about to start so we should pay attention"

After the starting bell had rung, Power Loader started, "Welcome Support Course students, I'm your homeroom and Support Design teacher Majima Higari, but you may know me as the hero Power Loader. I'll be brief here as once homeroom ends; we will be going to orientation. First of all, congratulations on getting here, you are now at the starting line to being a support hero. I know that most of you are here to build the gear that future field heroes will use, after all that is the aspect of support heroics that you chose to apply to and why you are here in class 1-H. The support course has several homerooms that are divided by the focus of support hero that you want to be. It is my job to provide you with the knowledge and tools to succeed, it is your job to use what we give you to help others. Remember our motto, Plus Ultra, the field of heroics is always changing, so let's show the world that hero support is more than capable of keeping up and keeping our heroes safe" Power Loader turned off his presentation and looked at the class. "Now, today will be a shorter day as your other classes have not started yet, after homeroom we will go to orientation, then we will return here to go through our lab safety demo and get you certified to use the equipment in the lab, afterwards most of you can stay here until the lab closes, I will be here if you have any immediate questions. For our hybrid students, after the demo you two will go out into the training grounds and conduct your quirk apprehension test. Any questions?"

The room was silent, all eyes were on Power Loader full of attention and excitement. The bell rang and the class continued through the rest of the day.

The lab safety presentation had also gone without a hitch, several students were still working on the physical test of the safety training, Mei had already finished and was back to work on her propulsion system. Izuku was seated to her right, typing away at his computer, line after line of code being written across his screen. To Izuku's right was Melissa, who was putting the finishing touches on one of the blueprints that she carried with her. The bell rang and the two began to clean up their stations, much to Mei's confusion.

"What are you two doing? We have open lab time?"

Izuku responded "Mel and I are the hybrid students Majima-sensei was talking about. We need to get to our heroics test"

Mei's eyes widened "Wait here just a minute, you two are support and hero students!"

Izuku smirked, "Yup!"

Mei smiled "Oh we are going to have so much fun making babies together! We don't even need to find a hero student for test runs, we have two right here!"

Melissa smiled "Yes, we can test gear later, now we need to get to the training field Izu"

"Fine, fine" he said with a wave of his hand. The two then said their goodbyes to Mei and followed Power Loader to the changing rooms. After changing they were met with Aizawa leaning against the wall. They nodded a greeting and followed him outside.

"I'm willing to bet that most of our classmates will still be there"

"Why do you say that Izu?"

"I mean, wouldn't you like to see who your other two heroics classmates are? Especially when we are unique cases?"

Melissa put a finger to her lip in an overexaggerated thinking pose, before chuckling "I suppose you're right. But we will see if your logic holds true when we get there"

The two stepped outside and could see the training field in the distance, the remaining field hero students were talking amongst themselves. Izuku and Melissa smiled and continued walking.

Izuku smirked while they approached "See Mel, I told you most of them would stick around".

After the explosion

Izuku looked down at Mei who remained upside down against the wall. "Hey Mei"

"Hey Mido"

Mina spoke up confused "Shouldn't you be more concerned?"

The two looked at her and tilted their heads "about what, she seems unharmed"

"She just exploded a door!"

"And?"

Mina sputtered and Melissa put a hand on her shoulder, a sympathetic look on her face "You get used to it"

Mina looked at Melissa, then to Izuku and Mei who were already talking about their next project, Mei was still upside down not seeming to care. Mina slowly looked back at Melissa "I am so sorry"

"Eh, they're fun to work with"

Eijiro then spoke up "That's cool and all, but can you understand anything they are saying?"

"I'm getting about every third word"

"Only every third?"

"I'm not really paying attention; Izu will fill me in when I ask"

Eijiro and Mina looked at each other then back to Melissa "You two can be scary sometimes"

Melissa simply smiled.
