One cold winter's night, an unexpected visitor approached the castle: an old beggar woman. She sought shelter and food, but had nothing to offer as payment. The prince turned her away, callously. The woman saw that there was no love in his heart and for his cruel nature, she cursed him. transforming him into a beastly form.
She told him if he could learn to be selfless, kind, and show love, the curse would be broken. But, he only had until his 26th birthday to do so. If not, he would be doomed to remain cursed forever.
As the years went by, despair consumed the prince, He grew despondent, doubting he would ever get the chance to prove he could change. Afraid, that no one would ever give him a chance.
FOR WHO COULD LEARN TO LOVE... A BEAST?
At the age of 15, Inuyasha found himself desperately fleeing from a hunters. In his flight, he stumbled upon an ancient well and, without hesitation, jumped in to evade his pursuers. He barely made it, hearing the launching of a hunter's crossbow bolts just above him as he descended.
Landing at the bottom, He believed he was safe. However, that illusion was shattered when he heard the hunters preparing to climb down after him. But before they could, a radiant light enveloped Inuyasha, overwhelming him and rendering him unconscious.
A distant, maddening roar, both heartbreaking and furious, awoke Inuyasha. His heart pounding as he was still at the bottom of the well, but the ominous footsteps of the hunters were gone. Climbing out, he found himself by an old, felled tree in a dark forest. He started surveying his surroundings, he realized that he was in an unfamiliar forest. He could still hear the roar that had woken him, bouncing off the valleys and hills in the distance. It sounded like a wolf in great pain. Determined to find a way out of the forest or someone who could help, he began to search for signs of life. But, was unable to find any.
He had barely taken a step when a lone wolf called out. Inuyasha recognized the call. It was unlike the maddening roar, no, this call was different. It was a summoning for kin. The howl resonated with warmth and familiarity to his dog-demon side, and he turned towards it. As he turned, he saw a single wolf standing not too far from him. It cautiously approached and stopped to sniff the air, to sniff his scent. A wide grin broke across its face when it recognized Inuyasha as friendly, lowering its head in greeting.
Fifteen years later...
In the town of Beacon hills, not far from the castle, in a, there lived a half-demon, and his name is Inuyasha. Inuyasha was a free-spirited young man, but he was albeit shy, reclusive, and very timid. Although the townspeople of the village shunned him with disgust and fear, Inuyasha most of the time didn't let it bother him. One morning Inuyasha decided to leave his home for the market hoping to interact with the townsfolk. However, he changed his mind and opted for picking up a new book. He dressed and then left his home, making his way to his favorite bookshop.
Inuyasha loathed going into the little town he made his home. Some of the townsfolk were overly friendly, always yelling out "bonjour" while others whispered under their breath about him always having his head in a cloud or stuck in a book.
Inuyasha snarled at their comments, he wasn't from this world, and so, he couldn't help if some of his conversations veered towards subjects' humans had no concept of. He also couldn't help that most of the was illiterate. When they mentioned their lack of skill, he had offered to teach them how to read.
They turned him down every single time, and to this he still offers, but he knows they will never accept. His demon blood once again scaring them off. It made Inuyasha feel isolated and regretting his to go to the town today.
Theo was a ruthless and ignorant man, but also an amazing hunter. He coveted Inuyasha with an intense desire. But, each attempt he tried woo Inuyasha, he was turned down. The rejection fueled his anger. Yet, he was stubborn and wouldn't give up on his pursuit. Meanwhile, Theo's henchmen, Miroku, was often distracted by Theo's own good looks and strong physique.
After escaping the bustle of the waking town, Inuyasha wandered to his favorite spot: beneath a massive, shaded tree at the town's edge which lay on the road leading back to his home. Resting against the tree's coarse bark, he opened his book, and lost himself in its tale. Just as he reached a good part, he noticed Theo Raeken-the town's most eligible bachelor and hunter extraordinaire- looming over him. Without warning, Theo rudely snatched the book from his hands.
"Hey give that back!" Inuyasha cried out, looking up at Theo, the man he loathed more than anyone in this forsaken world.
Teasingly waved the book above his head and roughly flipping through the pages in turn damaging them a little. "Why do you read such nonsense, someone as pretty as you shouldn't bother with such things. "You should find a man to pamper and care for you. Like me." Theo said, still tauntingly waving the book out of reach. "You're such an ass, Theo.
Give me my book back before you ruin it any further." Inuyasha held out his hand with an angry grimace at the overly large Chimera, who was stunning to say the least, but dumber than a sack of hammers. Theo rolled his and eyes and tossed the book at him. Inuyasha missed the catch causing it to land in a nearby muddy puddle.
Inuyasha then saw red and began to imagine horrible ways he could torture Theo for being so rude. But instead, slapped Theo roughly the face, leaving claw marks. Quickly picking up his soiled book, Inuyasha left a stunned Theo behind, tears streaming down his face. Inuyasha stifled the crying, as he needed to stop and collect his repaired Xbox One before heading home.
