Five minutes after leaving Inuyasha, Scott arrived in the kitchen.

"Staff, I would love a five-course meal with utter fanciness to be prepared," Scott says.

"Right away, master. It shall be done," the Clock replies.

As the staff was preparing the food, Scott decided to take a bath and have his claws and hair trimmed.

"Chris?" Scott said.

"Yes, sir? What is it?" Chris responded quickly.

"Prepare me a bath and set up the tailoring room as well. I wish to look my best for dinner tonight," Scott said in an orderly tone.

"Very well, master. It shall be done," Chris replied with a bow.

Thirty minutes later...

There was a knock on the door of Inuyasha's room. Startled and embarrassed since he wasn't wearing anything, Inuyasha squeaked in fear. He was still deciding what to wear. Quickly, he grabbed a robe to cover himself and approached the door. Upon opening it, he was met by the Clock.

"Sir, Scott told me to tell you that dinner is served," said the Clock, bowing.

"Just give me a few minutes, please. You caught me at a bad time. I was still choosing something to wear," Inuyasha responded, his face flushed with embarrassment.

"No problem, sir. But please do hurry; the master does not like to be kept waiting," the Clock replied with a hint of concern.

Upon hearing this, Inuyasha shut the door, selected a dark blue kimono, floral boxers, and black trousers, and swiftly dressed. When he reopened the door, he saw the Clock pacing back and forth. Clearing his throat to catch the Clock's attention, Inuyasha exclaimed, "Sir, I am ready. Let's get going!"

"Perfect! Let's not keep the master waiting any longer," said the Clock, hastening his pace.

After a ten-minute walk, they finally arrived at the dining room. The Clock bowed and left to inform the staff to present the food.

"I am glad you came. It's been a long time since I had company," Scott mentioned, his tone flirtatious.

Inuyasha simply blushed. "How could I refuse such service? Being personally escorted to the dining room," he responded, his voice shy.

"I'm pleased you appreciate it. Though I understand it might take some getting used to," Scott replied compassionately.

Inuyasha nodded in agreement.

Scott gestured towards an empty chair. Just as Inuyasha was about to sit, he hesitated, "Would it be troublesome to move the chair next to you?" he asked, embarrassment evident in his voice.

Scott's eyes widened in surprise, and he accidentally choked on his water. Both the Clock and Chris stared in shock, awaiting Scott's response. Scott simply nodded, and both the Clock and Chris swiftly repositioned the chair beside him. Once done, Inuyasha took his seat, his cheeks tinged with red. Scott noticed and offered a warm smile.

"How are you finding your stay so far?" Scott inquired curiously.

"It's amazing. Being waited on hand and foot is incredible. I could get used to this lifestyle," Inuyasha exclaimed, enthusiasm evident in his tone.

Scott beamed. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," he said, his voice filled with joy.

"Is it okay if I ask you some questions?" Scott asked in a calm voice.

Inuyasha nodded in response.

"Do you have any siblings? What are your hobbies?" Scott inquired curiously.

"Yes, but he died long ago. My hobbies include reading, writing, singing, fishing, watching cartoons, and playing video games," Inuyasha replied, his voice a mix of sadness and glee.

"And you?" Inuyasha asked.

"I had a sibling, but he died young. My mother passed away when I was young, and my father died in battle years ago. As for hobbies, I enjoy reading, taking long walks, sightseeing, and fishing. I've never watched cartoons or played video games though. My father was strict and rarely allowed me free time," Scott answered with a hint of regret.

Moved by Scott's words, tears welled up in Inuyasha's eyes. He too had missed out on a normal childhood. As they conversed, servants began setting the table with a tantalizing array of dishes. Inuyasha's mouth watered at the sight, and a loud growl from his stomach prompted a chuckle from Scott.

Once the table was ready, the servants bowed and retreated. Inuyasha stared at the feast, incredulous.

"Is all this really for us?" Inuyasha asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Scott simply nodded.

"You shouldn't go to such lengths just to impress me," Inuyasha remarked, somewhat embarrassed.

Grinning, Scott replied, "I want you to feel comfortable and satisfied tonight. Start wherever you like, and don't worry about making a mess. My servants will handle any cleanup."

Inuyasha nodded again and began to eat with gusto.

About twenty minutes into their meal, Inuyasha looked up, fixing his gaze on Scott. "How old are you?" he queried.

"I'm 25, but I'll be turning 26 in a few months. And you?" Scott responded.

"I celebrated my 30th birthday a few months back," Inuyasha revealed.

Scott stared at Inuyasha in surprise, nearly choking on his food. "30? I would've guessed 19 or early 20s at most!"

Inuyasha shrugged. "It's my DNA. I appear younger than I truly am. Speaking of which, may I ask about your origins?"

Inuyasha looked at Scott, both bewildered and astounded. "Nobody has ever asked me about my true nature. Most reacted with fear or scorn, deeming me an abomination, even though many of them weren't entirely human either. To answer your question, I am a half-demon."

Scott's eyes widened in shock. "A half-demon? I thought all demons, and half-demons vanished centuries ago. At least that's what I've read."

Inuyasha nodded somberly. "That's true. I'm the last of my kind."

Scott's eyes widened further, realizing he was in the company of a living relic from a bygone era.

Smiling softly, Inuyasha said, "I can see this comes as a shock."

Scott simply nodded in agreement.

"How did you survive the extermination of your species, if I may ask?"

Inuyasha swallowed the food he was chewing and took a deep breath. "I don't really remember much from my past. I had a traumatic experience when I was very young, causing me to lose most of my memories."

"How did you survive on your own?"

"After my father, brother, and mother sacrificed their lives to help me escape, I think I relied on instinct until I was 15."

"What happened when you turned 15?"

"Well, for starters, I fell in love with the wrong person. They betrayed me to hunters. Those hunters nearly killed me. As I fled, I found an old well to hide in. They still found me. But as they prepared to shoot, a bright light enveloped me, knocking me unconscious. I was then roused by a monstrous, painful roar."

Scott dropped his fork in surprise at this.

Inuyasha observed his reaction. "Did I say something wrong?"

"No, it's just that fifteen years ago, the night I was cursed, I detected an unfamiliar scent in the forest near my castle. It must've been you."

"Cursed?" Inuyasha asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, but I'll explain later. Please, continue with your story. I apologize for the interruption."

"If it wasn't for a kind pack of werewolves who found me, nursed me back to health, and later enrolled me in a nearby school, I might not have survived. A decade later, after finishing school and college, they gave me a choice: to leave or stay with them."

"What did you choose?" Scott asked.

"I chose to leave the pack to find my own place in the world," Inuyasha replied.

Scott nodded, empathizing with the struggle of finding one's own path. "Why do you appear this way now, if you don't mind my asking?"

Inuyasha considered the question. "On the night of the new moon, I transform into my human state."

Scott, recalling a book he once read, understood that half-demons undergo a period where they lose their powers. Realizing the food was cooling, they resumed eating.

An hour later, both content from the meal and their enlightening conversation, they stood up. The Clock escorted Inuyasha to his room.

"Sweet dreams," Scott wished the half-demon.

Ten minutes later, Inuyasha felt dirty. He mumbled to himself, "I wish I could take a bath."

Suddenly aware he wasn't alone in the room, he heard a voice say, "Just ring the bell."

Inuyasha's eyes widened. "Who's there?"

"It's me, the wardrobe, but you can call me Allison."

"Hi, Allison. I'm Inuyasha. Nice to meet you."

"Likewise," the wardrobe responded.

"Did you say to ring the bell?" Inuyasha inquired.

The entire wardrobe seemed to bend in a nodding gesture.

Inuyasha picked up the bell and rang it. Moments later, there was a knock at the door. He opened it to find the Clock standing there. "You rang?"

"Yes, I'd like to take a bath," Inuyasha said.

The Clock nodded. "Give me a moment, and I'll have the other servants bring the necessary items." Inuyasha nodded in agreement. Soon after, several servants entered the bedroom carrying buckets of water, a basin tub, and body cleaning supplies. Once everything was set up, they all bowed to Inuyasha and exited.

He closed the bedroom doors and began to fill the tub with water. Turning, he noticed that Allison had turned away to give him privacy. He undressed, tested the water temperature, then settled into the tub. He added soap, making the water foamy, and began to scrub.

"Did Scott ever have other company besides the servants and me?" he asked.

"No, not for a long time," Allison replied. "The master once held grand balls. You would've loved them."

"I'm sure I would have. What happened to him? Why is he like this now?"

"The master grew up under strict rules and rarely had fun."

"He mentioned that," Inuyasha interrupted.

"After losing his family, he became cold and cruel. An unexpected visitor once came to the castle, but due to the master's upbringing, it didn't end well."

Inuyasha felt a surge of empathy, realizing how similar their childhoods had been. After a while, he climbed out of the tub and dried off, then rang the bell again. The door opened to reveal Chris.

"You rang, monsieur?"

"I've finished my bath, but I don't have any pajamas."

"I'll have the servants clean up and prepare something tailored for you. I need your measurements."

Inuyasha nodded. A coat rack approached, measuring tape in hand. After taking his measurements, it exited. Half an hour later, it returned with tailored garments: blood-red pants, silk boxers, and a matching kimono.

"Thank you," Inuyasha said, accepting the clothing.

The coat rack bowed. "If you need anything else, just ring. Peter or I will come. Sweet dreams, monsieur."

"Goodnight," Inuyasha replied.

Once Chris had left, Inuyasha dressed and climbed into bed, falling asleep quickly. He awoke a few hours later, overheated. Panicking, he realized he was going into heat. He managed to fall back asleep, but awoke again half an hour later. Feeling more composed, he decided to explore the castle. As he wandered, he noticed he wasn't alone; Chris and Peter were following him.

"Good sir, what are you doing up at this late hour?" they both asked in unison.

"I was asleep for a bit but kept waking up, so I decided to explore."

"Very well, good sir. Would you like a tour then?" Chris asked.

"Yes, I would. Thank you," Inuyasha replied with a smile.

They passed the grand staircase, and Inuyasha noticed the pathway leading to it. As he began to ascend, Peter and Chris stopped him.

"Sir, where are you going? That place is off-limits!" Peter exclaimed.

"There's nothing up there but junk and dust," Chris added quickly.

"Ah, so that's the west wing?" Inuyasha remarked with a devious smirk.

"Nice going," Peter muttered, giving Chris a light tap on the head.

"I wonder what he's hiding up there?" Inuyasha mused, continuing his ascent.

"Hiding? The master isn't hiding anything," Chris protested, tugging at Inuyasha's robe.

"If that's the case, it wouldn't be forbidden," Inuyasha retorted, pulling Chris along.

"There are better things to see than the west wing," Peter suggested, trailing behind.

"What would you like to see first?"

Inuyasha paused, "What is there to see?"

"There's the gardens, ballroom, gallery, war room, or the library," Peter listed.

Hearing of the library, Inuyasha's eyes sparkled with interest. But, unknown to Peter and Chris, Inuyasha sneaked away while they guided him. He returned to the stairway, choosing the path that led him to his room earlier. Recognizing the corridor, he followed it and came across another set of stairs. Ascending, he found a door scarred with claw marks. Hesitantly, he entered, revealing a hallway marred with similar marks.

Passing ruined doors, he entered a room that left him astonished: it was in utter disarray. A damaged portrait of a man caught his eye. As he adjusted the torn parchment, he wondered about the identity of the depicted person. But then, a glowing object seized his attention – a floating rose encased in glass. As he reached to touch it, a growl resonated through the room.

Scott rushed over to the table, swiftly covering the rose.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Scott demanded angrily.

"I didn't mean to hurt anything," Inuyasha replied, his voice tinged with fear.

"I TOLD YOU NEVER TO COME HERE!" Scott shouted.

"I'm sorry," Inuyasha murmured.

"DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE? GET OUT! GET OUT!" Scott's voice boomed.

In a panic, Inuyasha fled the west wing, rushing to the castle's entrance. He swiftly grabbed a coat from the rack, donned it, and darted out into the woods. After a while, he came to a stop, realizing he was back at the familiar clearing.

He sat on a tree stump, trying to gather his thoughts. On the other side of the woods, near the den's border, the pack was out hunting. However, they were distracted by the distant sound of crying. Abandoning their hunt, they followed the sound.

When they arrived, they spotted someone sitting on the Nemeton. Koga recognized the figure as Inuyasha, who was in tears. In the clearing, Inuyasha soon became aware of multiple footsteps approaching him. Lifting his bloodshot eyes, he saw Hojo, Koga, Ethan, Ginta, Hakkaku, and Aiden. Koga, the alpha of the pack, transformed into his humanoid form. Unconcerned about his nudity, he walked over and sat beside Inuyasha for comfort.

"What's wrong, my pup? What has upset you?" Koga asked, concern evident in his voice.

Inuyasha, with tear-streaked eyes, looked up at Koga. "I messed up," he confessed tearfully, then embraced Koga.

"Tell me," Koga prompted gently.

"I let my curiosity get the better of me, and in doing so, I angered someone."

"Shush, pup, it's alright. I'm sure you didn't mean to do it."

"I didn't. I tried explaining, but they wouldn't listen."

Back at the castle in the west wing, Scott was distraught. Realizing he might have overreacted, Inuyasha was just being curious. He felt guilty for not understanding. Deciding to seek him out and apologize, he headed for Inuyasha's room. He knocked on the door but received no response. After another attempt, he sought out Peter and Chris.

"Where is Inuyasha?" Scott demanded.

"Master, he ran away," came the reply.

Scott growled in frustration and dashed out of the castle into the forest.

Back at the Nemeton, Koga was comforting Inuyasha, patting his head and soothing him. Once Inuyasha had calmed down, he thanked Koga, who responded with a warm smile. The others, sensing Koga's intent, shifted into their humanoid forms.

They all approached and embraced both Koga and Inuyasha. As Inuyasha's tears subsided, he looked around at the pack and smiled gratefully.

Meanwhile, Scott entered the forest. He sniffed the air, detecting Inuyasha's scent mixed with those of unfamiliar wolves. Growling in anticipation, he followed the scent. After running for a few minutes, he arrived at the scene. What he saw infuriated him: Inuyasha, surrounded by several unknown werewolves, who were also conspicuously naked. To add to Scott's ire, they were affectionately close to Inuyasha, arousing jealousy and rage within him.

While hiding in the shadows of the trees, Scott pondered what he should do next. From the corner of his eye, Inuyasha noticed glowing eyes amidst the tree shadows. A shiver of fear ran down his spine, drawing Koga's and the others' attention.

"What is wrong?" Koga inquired.

Whispering into Koga's ear, Inuyasha said, "There's something in the trees watching us."

All heads turned in the direction Inuyasha pointed. A growl rumbled in Koga's throat. In a flash, Koga and the others shifted into their werewolf forms, forming a protective circle around Inuyasha. As the lurking figure lunged, Inuyasha's shock deepened upon realizing it was Scott.

In a heartbeat, they were around him; the next, they were on the offensive against Scott. "Run!" Scott urged, worried in his voice. But Inuyasha was frozen, wide-eyed and astounded. He had never seen Scott so ferocious. Acting on instinct, Inuyasha attempted to break up the fight, but his intervention only resulted in a minor injury to his head.

Suddenly, two things occurred: the sun began to rise, which Inuyasha noted, and his full heat hit. The sun's rays turned Inuyasha back into his half-demon form. Wracked by pain, Inuyasha screamed, commanding them to stop, which they heeded.

Once the fight ceased, the werewolves detected a change in Inuyasha's scent. While they were momentarily distracted, Scott leapt towards Inuyasha. Checking for injuries, Scott found only a small bleeding wound on Inuyasha's forehead, which brought him relief. However, he then recognized the sweet scent emanating from Inuyasha, indicating his status as a submissive omega in heat, and also that he had reverted to half-demon. Gently, Scott cradled Inuyasha.

Koga and his pack observed the unfamiliar alpha werewolf holding their pup. While Koga's first impulse was to command an attack, he held back, not wanting to jeopardize Inuyasha. Instead, they cautiously approached, wary of any sudden movements from the unknown alpha. Koga was the first to identify the unique scent from Inuyasha. He smiled, realizing Inuyasha had embraced his lineage. However, Koga's expression hardened upon seeing the unknown alpha's possessive gaze.

"Let me carry him," Koga insisted protectively.

Scott, with a reluctant growl, handed Inuyasha over. Koga held him bridal style, leading the way with Scott and the rest following closely. To keep a close watch, Scott quickened his pace.

"How do you know Inuyasha?" Koga inquired.

Searching for an answer that wouldn't provoke the fiercely protective werewolf, Scott replied, "He's been staying at my castle for a while. We're just acquaintances." It was a slight twist on the truth.

Koga sensed the dishonesty but chose not to confront him, focusing instead on Inuyasha's safety. They reached the castle gates, and Scott ushered them into Inuyasha's room. Once inside, Koga tenderly placed Inuyasha on the bed, sitting beside him and gently stroking his hair. Scott observed the scene with a smile.

"What's your name?" Scott asked.

"Koga. And they are Ginta, Ethan, Hakkaku, Hojo, and Aiden. They're my pack, and Inuyasha is our youngest member. What's yours?"

"Scott."

"It's good to meet you," Koga acknowledged. After a nod from Scott, Koga added, "Thanks for being honest."

Koga then addressed his pack. "You all watch him. I'll speak with Scott outside."

Acknowledging their alpha, the wolves watched as Scott and Koga left the room. Once outside, Koga sought the truth. "What's really happening? And don't lie."

Scott hesitated, "Well, it's a long story."

Impatiently, Koga growled, urging Scott to speak. Scott shared Inuyasha's story, detailing his encounters, past relationships, and his time at the castle. Koga listened in astonishment, expressing surprise that Inuyasha had confided so much to Scott.

"I'm amazed he shared that with you. He hasn't even opened up about his past to us," Koga mused. "He must truly trust you. I thought he trusted no one more than me."
