A knock at the door interrupted Inuyasha's thoughts. Inuyasha quickly ran upstairs and redress upon heading back downstairs he opened it to find the warden. "Can I help you?" Inuyasha asked, his voice heavy with fatigue.
"I've heard troubling rumors about you. I'm here to collect you for the asylum," the warden responded with a sinister edge.
"You know I'm not crazy," Inuyasha countered, a note of worry in his voice.
"I could be persuaded otherwise," Theo interjected with a mischievous smirk.
"If what?" Inuyasha shot back, eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"If you marry me. One word is all I ask," Theo proposed.
"Never."
"Have it your way," Theo sneered.
"Get your hands off me!" Inuyasha exclaimed, retreating inside to fetch the mirror, hoping to call Scott for help. But before he could, Theo stormed into the cottage. What he saw shocked him: Inuyasha communicating with a beast. This revelation stoked his anger.
"I KNEW IT! You've been with that beast in the castle. Only a fool would believe such a monster could be a friend," Theo spat.
Seizing the mirror from Inuyasha, Theo presented it to the gathered villagers, revealing the beast. "Look at this! He consorts with beasts, defying our laws. Such actions are punishable by death, but I'll mercifully send him to the asylum instead," Theo proclaimed.
Desperate, Inuyasha tried to defend himself, "He's not dangerous. He's kind, gentle, and my friend."
"If I hadn't known better, I'd think you had feelings for this monster," Theo mocked.
"He's not the monster here, Theo. You are," Inuyasha retorted defiantly.
"Did you hear that?" Theo exclaimed, pointing at Inuyasha. "He's completely lost his mind. If we let this continue, our entire town is at risk. He'll abduct your children, hunting them down in the night. We won't be safe until his head is on my wall. We must kill the beast!"
"We'll never be safe until the beast is dead. He'll stalk us during the night, threatening our children with his monstrous hunger. If we let him roam free, he'll wreak havoc on our village. It's time to act! Follow me through the mist, through the woods," Theo rallied.
"Through the ominous shadows and darkness. Though it feels like a nightmare, it's a thrilling chase. Once we recite our prayers, we'll be at the castle's drawbridge, where the true terror resides — the beast!
With his sharp fangs and enormous paws, hear him roar, see him foam! We won't return until he's definitively defeated. Kill the Beast!" Theo declared with fervor.
"I won't let you do this!"
"Try and stop us!"
Theo forcefully threw Inuyasha into the carriage, locking the door behind him. He left Inuyasha trapped, intending to deal with him upon his return.
"This is all my fault," Inuyasha lamented. "I have to go back and warn him."
"No!" someone shouted, "But we must hurry."
"We'll rid the village of this Beast!"
With determination, the mob, led by Theo, stormed the castle. After breaking down its doors, they entered, scanning the expansive foyer. To their surprise, the castle appeared to be empty.
"NOW!" Theo commanded.
As the mob engaged in a fierce battle with the castle's enchanted furniture, Theo saw his chance. He discreetly slipped away, on a mission to find the beast. After twenty minutes of searching through the castle's many rooms, he finally stumbled upon the lair of the beast.
Without hesitation, he aimed his bow and let an arrow fly. A roar of pain echoed as Scott, the beast, was struck. Theo, not wasting a moment, forcefully kicked Scott out of the window.
Back at Inuyasha's house, all this commotion spurred Inuyasha to desperately try to escape the locked carriage, but his attempts were futile. The racket outside awakened Koga.
Groggily looking around, he searched for his beloved pup, Inuyasha. When he couldn't find him, panic set in. Just then, he noticed the small cup, which he recognized as Liam from the ball.
"Liam, what's wrong, little one?" Koga inquired.
"It's Inuyasha! They've imprisoned him in a carriage, and the entire town has gone to kill the master," Liam cried.
Shocked and alarmed, Koga leaped out of bed, inadvertently waking the others. But without wasting a second, he dashed out of the cottage to rescue Inuyasha. When he reached the carriage, he saw Inuyasha's desperate attempts to escape.
Without a second thought, Koga transformed into his powerful werewolf form. Using his immense strength, he tore the carriage door off its hinges. Inuyasha, seizing the moment, clambered onto Koga's back, and the two bolted into the safety of the woods.
