Kido, after the events of the anime, was suggested to write in a diary to vent out emotionally when she didn't want to talk to anyone else. even after the snakes plans were stopped, strange things had been happening and no one knows why. it's like reading her diary first hand with everything described from how they were seen, ranging from everyday life to the off happenings

20. Hibiya's loss

Chapter 20: Hibiya's loss

Date: 28th January 20XX

Time: 11:54pm, roughly

Dear diary

The search the police have been undergoing the last 28 days, have all been fruitless. They have been searching far and wide for Hibiya's friend but sadly to this day noting has been turned up. Neither a sign nor a sighting and it's making him more worried with each passing day. Hibiya is getting more impatient with each day that passes by. We're still looking for her as much as we can and as often as we can.

He went on a search of his own and it took hours for us to find him. Unfortunately, when Momo caught up with him, I was told they spent an hour sitting in a park on a swing talking. He seems more disheartened and coming to terms that we'll never be able to find Hiyori, at least it appears that we'll never find her. He's losing hope of finding her and I can tell by looking at him, his sadness from this grows stronger every day.

Momo was able to talk to Hibiya and get him to come back to live with us in the den. Even after returning alittle over an hour ago, he still seems disheartened by more than whats happening with Hiyori. His sadness is reflected in the look his eyes and even I can tell.

Kano continues to support me while I continue to try to stay strong and support everyone else. I wouldn't admit it to him, but I don't know where I'd be with Kano by my side.
