Kido, after the events of the anime, was suggested to write in a diary to vent out emotionally when she didn't want to talk to anyone else. even after the snakes plans were stopped, strange things had been happening and no one knows why. it's like reading her diary first hand with everything described from how they were seen, ranging from everyday life to the off happenings

Chapter 23: eyes on Shintaro

Date: 10th February 20XX

Time: 11pm

Dear diary

Today was strange, Shintaro kept looking over his shoulder as if he was expecting someone near by to be following us. But every time I looked, there was no one there and every time I asked him what was bothering him, he only replied with "I'm fine, quit asking" I could tell by the look in his eyes that something was bothering him and every time I looked where he was starring, there was nothing out of the ordinary. It was like he was becoming paranoid with people around us watching him. What surprises me is how sudden this came out of nowhere and how deeply it seems to be affecting him. He even asked me if I saw an animal slither by, I didn't nor do I expect to see anything slither around. Comforting him was challenging but we couldn't wait to get home since he was feeling that way.
