Kido, after the events of the anime, was suggested to write in a diary to vent out emotionally when she didn't want to talk to anyone else. even after the snakes plans were stopped, strange things had been happening and no one knows why. it's like reading her diary first hand with everything described from how they were seen, ranging from everyday life to the off happenings

Chapter 33: sudden illness

Date: 18th April 20XX

Time: 10:49pm

Dear diary

The last few days have been rough on Shintaro, he came down suddenly with a stomach bug and was in the bathroom. He wasn't able to keep anything down for every long and we even suggested something lighter for him not to feel so bad. For the most part, he took our advice and ate some ginger, but the waves of sickness kept coming through the whole day. We agreed to take turns so that we didn't feel over worked by this, or over stressed. He would be so non shallot, but today looked like something was more than a little bothering to him. Like he had something on his mind but refused to speak a word to what it might be.

He kept insisting he was ok through the whole day and only stayed in his bedroom with a bucket because Momo made him. As his younger sister, she claimed it was her responsibility to keep him in that room, even joked by saying that he needed to go back into his cage, sick or not. I think that was her way of trying to lighten the mood of all of the bad things that have been happening, but that doesn't get rid of the biggest question above all others. That being are these black snakes we're seeing somehow involved with everything else that seem unrelated? Part of me doesn't want that answered.
