Chapter 35: happy birthday shintaro

Date: 30th April 20XX

Time: 11:21pm

Dear diary

Today was hectic, Shintaro's birthday was today and Momo went all out with getting snacks and drinks. I'm sure she, Seto and Marie all made sugar a rare substance on earth with how much they all bought. They were either on a mission to dry up sugar supplies or stay awake for months, I can't tell which their ultimate plan was. Shintaro was just as surprised as myself and though we all partied, Seto couldn't stay away from Marie, I assume he doesn't want to lose her again. Speaking of couldn't stay away, Kano was literally my shadow for the whole party. He refilled my drink when my cup got empty and still wore that stupid smile of his, usually I can tell when his smiles are genuine or fake, but I can't tell with the ones he gave me during this party. I think I let a genuine smile slip while we were together. Was enough to give me a hug, tight hug and yet every second he held me in that hug felt important. Like it was something I shouldn't forget, and something tells me I shouldn't.
