Kido, after the events of the anime, was suggested to write in a diary to vent out emotionally when she didn't want to talk to anyone else. even after the snakes plans were stopped, strange things had been happening and no one knows why. it's like reading her diary first hand with everything described from how they were seen, ranging from everyday life to the off happenings

Chapter 49: unexplained absence

Date: 26th August 20XX

Time: 11:02pm

Dear diary

It has been a while since there was a mention of black snakes, I'm concerned and worried that something may have happened that we're not yet aware of. All of us in some way has seen them and has been afflicted with the aftermath of their sudden appearance. What is going on? I can't explain it, nor can I explain this sudden chill I'm feeling. Everything I try and come up with an idea or theory, my mind turns blank and the only thing I can work with is this paranoia that makes me feel like I'm going crazy. Their first plan failed thanks to all of us here at the den and if they were to try it again, why haven't they made their move yet? Everything doesn't add up. My confusion is ever present and for the moment, though I wouldn't tell him, Kano is the comfort I turn to most often and I think he knows it. He ends up hugging me, even when I don't really do anything and just holds me in his embrace. I can't help but to feel warm in his arms, something must be wrong with me.
