Embracing Heather tight, Hiccup squeezed her eyes, once feeling another's tears on her shoulder. If they looked around, they would have glimpsed dragons of various sizes and colors in each of the stables their eyes land on.

Despite the loudness, which was caused by them, as well as the rather nasty smell of wet straw and raw fish, the two of them focused on each other, before Hiccup drew farther, just so as to beam at Heather's wet, but grinning face.

"So, do ya believe me now, if I say it's alright?"

"I do, but I am still sorry," Heather replied, hugging herself when they broke apart. "I-I should've listened to you from the very beginning. Nothing would have happened with, you know," she paused and pointed with her chin on Hiccup's shoulder, wrapped by a bandage.

"Oh, come one. It's not the first time I take a punch," Hiccup chuckled, but then, glimpsing Heather's uncomfortable, grunted. "I'm fine. The better question is if ya are, after-,"

"Can we, please, don't talk about it?" Heather interrupted her swiftly, gnashing her teeth, anxiously. "If I had to be honest, I would like to just forget about him."

"If that's what ya wish for, I have no problem with it," Hiccup responded, nodding and exhaling, soundly. "What plan are ya havin', now? The team already has agreed that you can stay, so if ya would like to, ye're welcome to do so."

"Astrid invited me to stay with her in her hut," Heather explained, swaying on her feet, shrugging. "I think it's not the worst idea, but I don't want to cause any problems."

"Ya aren't; it'll be nice to have ya here," Hiccup stated and then elbowed her side, sliding next to her. "Also, ye'll have close to Astrid's trainin' spot, so ye'd better prepare because I want a rematch after the last one."

"Oh, Hiccup, you pure soul, you'll never win against me and either against Astrid," Heather mocked, encircling her arm around the other's shoulders.

"Hey, let me dream, at least," Hiccup giggled, rolling her eyes, until these landed on the terrace, and she tensed, stroking her fingers.

There, Toothless stood straight, gaping at the sunset, while being by back to them. His arms were tightly crossed on his chest while having rather a closed-up expression, which resulted in Hiccup's shiver. Eventually, feeling that she's been staring for too long, Hiccup lowered her eyes to the ground, and noticing that, Heather simpered, glancing at her, sympathetically.

"Why don't you go and talk to him?" Heather proposed, patting Hiccup's farther shoulder.

"I'm not sure if that's the best idea; maybe we should give each other space, I-," she hesitated, inhaling and looking away. "I don't want to worsen it."

"Of course, you don't, and maybe you're right; maybe giving each other some space is a good concept, but let me tell you that," Heather admitted, before leaning over her, muttering, "he would like to talk to you, too."

Instantly, Hiccup's eyes rounded, glancing with them at Heather and Toothless, sequentially. Subsequently, Heather grasped her cheeks, to stop her head from moving around, and squeezed them.

"Do whatever you would like, Hiccup. It's your decision," she summed up, and then, let go of her, before stepping away. "I'll go; I'm meeting with Astrid for the game, so wish me luck," she finished, waving her hand to Hiccup, and later, leaving through the entrance, where she did the same to Toothless, who nodded at her, before disappearing into the woods.

Afterward, Hiccup pursued her lips, gaping at the ceiling of the stables, occasionally allowing her eyes to lower, so she could dart at unaware Toothless. Eventually, inhaling and straightening, Hiccup stepped forward, twisting her fingers behind her back while moving toward the man, wearing rather an anxious expression.

Consequently, finding herself next to him, she leaned closer, so she appeared in his view range, before beaming at him and saying, "Hey."

"Hey," Toothless replied, momentarily lifting the corner of his mouth at her sight.

"May I join ya?"

"Of course, be my guest," he agreed, inching to the side, so as to make a spot for her.

Thereafter, the two of them gaped forward, into an orange sun, slowly getting closer to the crystal blue ocean, and hence, a distant horizon. Through that, they caught themselves peeking at one another, a few times, because of which, Hiccup's face was covered by the crimson blush, while Toothless kept scratching his neck, embarrassed.

Suddenly, both of them gazed in each other's direction, and declared, "I'm sorry," resulting in rather awkward silence. "What are you apologizing for?" They questioned, the same way synchronically, and thus, stared upon themselves, flabbergasted.

It was later on when Hiccup snorted, abruptly, then giggled, and then laughed, almost at the top of her lungs. Glimpsing that, Toothless joined her shortly after, chuckling, and a minute passed, before they calmed down, gazing at one another, amused.

Hence, Hiccup grunted, fixing her posture. "Maybe, I'll begin," she proposed.

"No, I will; I insist," he urged and inhaled, letting his arms fall to his sides. "I am sorry, for not listening to you. Truth is, you were right from the start, and I-; I don't know what's gotten into me for assuming otherwise," he admitted, stroking his forehead, and sighed. "I know it won't be much of an explanation, but I guess I wasn't thinking straight the morning we argued; I haven't had a good night's sleep, honestly."

"What do ya mean by that?" she asked, fretting. "Was there somethin' wron'?"

"Well, after that kidnapping of yours, which was also the main reason I was so eager on Heather's proposition, and again, after your little punishment, which was the first time I haven't slept with you, I couldn't fall asleep," he confessed, while sadness clouded Hiccup's features. "My only slumber was in the same morning, and felt as if it lasted only five minutes."

"Oh, Toothless," she muttered, guilty. "I'm sorry that because of me ya had to go through it."

"It wasn't your fault."

"It was; I was the one that forced ya to sleep downstairs," she reasoned, stabbing her nails into her forearm. "After the Dagur incident, I should've thought that ya would be uneasy."

"Stop that, Hiccup. I am not mad at you, quite the opposite," he assured, shrugging. "I deserved it, I mean, that situation wasn't without a rationale, right?"

"Okay, maybe, but-,"

"There is no but, sweetness. There was a crime, so there had to be a punishment."

"I don't like the sound of it, truthfully," she acknowledged, but gave in, glimpsing the serious tone of his expression, and exhaled, grasping his hand. "For now, I'll promise ya that there won't be any disciplines like this, well, as long as ya won't do somethin' stupid."

"Somethin' stupid, you say?" Toothless recited, smirking teasingly. "Say me, what do you consider as stupid?"

"Ya will know if you do it," she replied, grinning and tiptoeing, so their faces leveled. "However, I don't foresee for you a peaceful night, in that case."

In response, Toothless beamed at her innocently and leaned forward, kissing her eyelid, at which Hiccup smiled, flushing. Afterward, just as he was about to loom away, he stopped by her ear and whispered.

"I won't do anything stupid, I swear."

"Let's hope for that because unfortunately, ya are infamous for yer impulsiveness," Hiccup nagged, but once Toothless's face overtook an uncomfortable instead of amusement, her smile slippered. "What's wron'? I'm sorry if that offended ya, it didn't mean to."

"No, no, it's okay. I know it was a joke," he ensured, before looking away, hissing. "You just reminded me that I have something I need to apologize to you for," he clarified and cleared his throat, before beginning. "The fact is that you, Hiccup Haddock, the most beautiful-,"

"To the point."

"-you convinced me from the same start, but after you compared me to Dagur I went along with Heather just to rile you," he finished, swiftly, while Hiccup's eyes widened, and he twisted his face, ashamed. "How angry you are with me now?"

"Umm, well, actually, not as much as you may think," she responded, indifferently.

"Really? But, why? I was sure you would be furious with me, willing to commit Dagur's murder, unreasonably."

"Oh gods, when will ya understand that I don't care about Dagur, seriously! Fuck him! As for me, I would gladly see his corpse rot in some dirty hole."

"I guess," he affirmed and surveyed the top of her head.

Unable to restrain himself, Toothless grasped the side of it and brushed her hair with his fingers, until these were met with the scar in the center. Stroking it with his thumb, he gawked at it and detecting it, Hiccup asked, quietly.

"Who told ya?"

"Astrid," he answered, kissed her old wound, and added. "Continue."

"Toothless, what I was worried about wasn't the crime in the whole sense, but the effects it would brin'," she justified and gripped his hand, which was about to be moved away from her face. "I was worried about yer and Heather's mentality, what impact would that event have on ya two."

"I know," he mumbled, streaming his hand from her head toward her cheek. "Probably, I would despise myself for being a murderer that you hate."

"I won't lie to ya, I hate murderers, but that's because I was once one, tryin' to get myself killed."

"What a loss it would be if you succeed," he muttered, tightening his hold on her, lightly. "I have no idea what would I do if you did. I don't want to even think about it."

"Then don't," she reacted, gripped his forearm, and lowered his hand from her face. "Let's forget about the past, and focus on the present," she added and gazed at the ground, guilty. "For example, my apology."

"Hiccup, you don't have to-,"

"I have to, sweety," she pressed and straightened, starting. "I am very, very sorry to ever compare ya to such a terrible person Dagur is, and it doesn't matter if we're talkin' about the past or not, I shouldn't have done it either way. I would love to have some explanation for myself, but the truth is I was thinkin' sober, I didn't have anythin' goin' on with me, I just-," she stopped, hiding her face behind her hands.

Subsequently, she felt how Toothless encircled his hands around her wrists and lowered her cover, after which, the first thing she glimpsed was his soothing, intense, acid-green eyes. "Maybe, you said that to convince me so I listen to you, rather than to hurt me," he suggested, and immediately, Hiccup pressed herself into him, embracing him.

"I love ya," she whispered, gazing at him while squeezing her cheek into his chest.

"I love you, too," he replied, returning the hug, gently.

"Toothless, I want ya to understand that such arguments might repeat in the future; I don't know why, I don't know when, but they may. That's why, ya must know that no matter what happens between us, no matter if we stop talkin' to each other and start avoidin' ourselves, I will love ya."

"In that case, you must know that no matter the reason for our quarrels, I will patiently wait until we make up, because I wouldn't be able to imagine a world without you in it."

Thereafter, they remained still, hugging themselves tightly, while the sun warmed up their backs and the sound of nearby waves gave the moment a tranquil sensation. It was eventually, that Toothless gazed down at her, simpered, and offered, "Would you like to do something, only the two of us? We have a whole evening for ourselves," to which Hiccup replied with a bright grin.
