"Hiccup, listen to me, finally! If you did, we would've been already over with this," Toothless ensured, lying comfortably on the ground, next to the serene river, while gawking at the black dragonness, resembling him. "Focus, and attack fast, without hesitation."

The mentioned female peeked at him irritated before her dark, green eyes landed on the water's surface once again while leaning her body over it. "It's so easy for you to say, but I would like to remind you, that I wasn't hunting in like, ever," she clarified, surveying every detail in the water. "I'm lacking in experience."

"The only thing you're lacking is confidence," Toothless stated, huffing at the glimpse of annoyed Hiccup. "Whenever there will be an occasion, just go for it, as suddenly as possible. The more unexpectedly the better-; here it comes!" he barked, abruptly.

Consequently, Hiccup gazed where he was, and detected the fish swimming through the water, however, she didn't make it in time to catch it. Afterward, raising her soaked face, growling, internally. Wiping the liquid with her paw off, she wrinkled her nose, glancing gloomily at her partner.

"I'll give up in a moment."

"Don't be like that. You'll get it right, undoubtedly," he reassured, quirking up the corner of his mouth. "Just concentrate, calm down, and-,"

"I would concentrate if it wasn't for your raving in my head!" Hiccup interjected, immediately regretted it, witnessing how Toothless's smile faded, and exhaled, soundly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be harsh, I am just tired."

"Understandable, I would be drained too if I were you; I may would've been even worse," he noted, nodding, comprehensibly. "I'll be out of your hair, although, in this case, I'll be out of your scales," he joked, and then, noticing Hiccup's rather unamused reaction shut his mouth, laying down on the ground, turning his head away, defeated.

Rolling her eyes at him, Hiccup once again focused on the blue surface, and catching the sight of another fish, her body worked almost instinctively as she dove for it and snatched it into her mouth. Instantly, she turned toward the male, wiggling with joy, while he lifted his neck from the ground and gazed at her, proudly.

Suddenly, before either of them could react, the fish inside Hiccup's jaw started moving, smacking its tail into her eye. Without knowing what to do, she let it go, because of which, the wounded vertebrate swam away across the stream, swiftly.

Afterward, Hiccup groaned, and at the sound of a loud, amused snicker next to her, snarled. "Don't you dare," she warned, scowling at him, furiously.

Subsequently, Toothless fought with the urge to laugh, and after succeeding in this, stood up, before walking up to her. "Well, you must admit, it was quite funny," he jested, but instead of agreeing, Hiccup gazed at the ground, embarrassed, because of which, stopping by her, he covered her back with his folded wing. "Don't worry, you did the hardest part. We just have to teach you what you should do if such a situation occurs again."

"Such a situation?" she repeated, squirming her eyes at him.

"You know, when the fish stays alive, even though you caught it," he defined and elaborated, "What you want to do then, is just to unalive it, and there are various possibilities, the best one yet is just to bite onto it harder, maybe ripping its head from its body."

"That seems brutal."

"Welcome into a dragon world," he sneered, nudging her side with his snout, before pointing with his head on the water. "Second try?" he proposed and Hiccup nodded, convinced.

Thereafter, the both of them awaited just over the river, leaning over it, and glimpsing another prey, Hiccup's eyes slit just as she plunged for it, capturing it, instantly. Subsequently, she raised her chin, but then, while the fish began to move, her eyes widened, startled.

"Come on, bite on it," he instructed, presenting the movement himself, which she repeated, receiving rather a weak outcome. "Stronger," he ordered, smacking his teeth against each other, and listening to him, Hiccup almost jumped from the joy, when the vertebrate stopped moving, dead.

"I did it!" she cheered, showing off her victim, shaking her head.

"Well done," he congratulated and licked her head, proudly. "I've told you that you would, undoubtedly."

"Come off it, we both know you were doubting it, a little bit."

"Not even a little bit," he swore, before pointing at the fish in her mouth. "Go on, you may eat, now," he suggested and narrowed his eyes at her when instead of doing that, she placed the food in front of him and even pushed it toward him. "Is this some kind of manipulation, so I, as a thank you gesture, shared my food with you?"

"Maybe?" she responded, grinning nervously, while peeking over his back to the pile of fish, nearby his earlier, laying spot. "Will you?"

Afterward, gazing at her, at her lopsided grin, at her ears, lowered, almost glued to her head, sweetly, and at her begging, big, round, dark, green eyes, he couldn't resist, but to move out of her way, inviting her for the meal, made out of his effort.

Instantly, Hiccup beamed with enjoyment, and licked his cheek swiftly, before rushing forward, just to sit by the mentioned spot. Grasping one of the fish with her paws, Hiccup started eating it, biting of fish's parts, one by one.

Thus, stopping just by her, with Hiccup's prey in his mouth, Toothless gaped at her, confused. "Why are you eating so strangely?" he questioned, tilting his head at her.

"What do you mean by strangely?"

"Strangely, like a human; with your hands."

Sulking, Hiccup glanced at her 'hands' which were her paws, holding only half of what was from fish, now, and grumbled. "Alright, mister I know best, how should it be done, then?" she inquired, smirking.

Responding with the same, Toothless tossed the fish in his mouth in the air just over himself, bend his head back, and caught it inside his jaw, swallowing it at once. Thereafter, he skimmed at Hiccup who blinked at him taken aback, and sat just by her, robbing her out of the unfinished half, before passing her another one and offering.

"Try yourself."

"Do I have to?"

"You don't, but it would be nice to learn, don't you think?" he queried, poking her stunned self with his nose. "After all, the dragon way is faster, wouldn't you agree?"

"Alright, alright," she agreed, finally, loosening her body, and exhaling. "Let's do this."

Grasping the fish with her teeth, Hiccup darted at Toothless who grinned at her, uplifting, last time, and threw it the same way she saw him doing so, ending up with the fish atop of her head. Instantly, she slit her eyes at Toothless and growled, hearing his not-so-quiet snort, while the male grinned at her, with his famous, anxious, toothless smile.

After that, she just rolled her eyes and turned her head to the side, letting the fish slip from it, and hence, slap wetly into the ground. Eventually, she made the next attempts, but these weren't as successful as she could've hoped for.

The worst was the second one because making an effort to hurl the fish just a little higher, the outcome was losing it after it ended up in the water and disappeared with the flow of water. Fortunately, Toothless didn't make any comment about it, but he winced, after biting on his tongue, probably holding back bursting into laughter.

The third one was close, too close, because the fish bumped into her teeth, leaving after itself a few scales in her mouth, but in the end, it bounced from them and smacked into the grass. Consequently, she gritted her teeth, irritated, without realizing that some of the husks were glued to her teeth.

It was too much for Toothless, because he, reflexively as he pledged, chuckled, amused. Ignoring his promises, Hiccup whacked her tail into the back of his head, smirking pleased, when he scowled at her, agitated.

The fourth time was a success, but not the success the two of them were hoping for because Hiccup found herself unable to swallow. For her, the feeling was like trying to swallow a whole bread loaf, which for a human, she was her entire life, was impossible.

Hence, Hiccup's throat kept her in a choking state, held back by the defensive, human instinct, which ironically, made it incapable for her to breathe. At first, concerned Toothless, not understanding the reason for Hiccup's endangerment tried to order her into swallowing.

Realizing that Hiccup's willingness wasn't the issue, and she was just unable to do it, he leaned toward her and started licking her neck, under her chin. Before she could've comprehended what the movement was supposed to earn, her throat worked on impulse, and finally, she swallowed, after which, she breathed, soundly.

Observing that, Toothless shifted closer toward her, covered her with his wing, and purred, sympathetically, but also, a little guilty. In response, Hiccup smiled at him, gratefully, before shoving her head under his, purring the same way he did, sending his neck a rather satisfying sensation.

It was eventually, that the whole pile was gone, mostly eaten by the male, and they lay by each other, resting after rather an eventful, large meal. Toothless has his head on Hiccup's when suddenly, his eyes opened, snappily, and he lifted his head, just to gape at her, his face dawned by the realization.

Feeling his stare on herself, which burned a hole in her, she glanced at him, not volunteering to raise herself. "What?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.

"I just understood we know each other almost a half year, now."

"Good job, love. You have no idea how glad I am, knowing that you can count."

"That's not what I meant," he remarked, boring his eyes into her. "I meant that we have known each other so long, and I still didn't do one, certain thing."

"Which is?" she questioned, and regretted it, once he started gagging. "Oh no, I know what you're doing. Please, don't," she insisted, but her ask hasn't done much, because it wasn't a moment when the pieces of various fishes, covered by the droll, were placed before her laying self.

"Enjoy your meal," he added, pushing her feast even closer, resulting in her sudden backing away.

"Do I have to?" she asked, grinning at him, nervously.

As an answer, Toothless shrugged, indifferently. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to," he replied, laying his head on his knotted paws, gawking forward. "Just so you know, such a gesture as sharing a fish with another dragon is considered something really important for my kind. After all, it's a caring gesture; you demonstrate your attachment toward another being, by sharing with them something as important as food, which is basically our source of survival-,"

"So the answer is yes," she summed up, gazing at the vomits before her, disgusted.

Trading the glances with Toothless, the male smirked at her, brightly, pointing at the fish, encouraging. Despite this rather positive action, Hiccup didn't feel any more motivated, but in final, she did what he was so eager for to happen, and she ate the food, slowly.

Through that, she got a chance of experiencing a few things, for example, consistency, which was the worst yet. Without any problem, she could compare it to baby food, which while being for the cited age group delicious, was rather too runny for older people to be enjoyed.

The next would be taste, which to her surprise, wasn't as bad as she predicted it to be. Basically, it was just a fish taste, the same salt, raw, and rather, for the dragon at least, mouthwatering flavor, but with the addition of something more - the drool, but not just a drool, her partner's drool.

The experience of his saliva, which began mixing with saliva inside her mouth, could've easily been likened to the experience of their kisses, which wasn't anything uncommon, by now. The taste was just Toothless, her Toothless, which was the reason why her head fastened.

Was then, sharing food with another dragon, for these creatures a variation of a human kiss? she asked herself, ricocheting at unaware of her thought Toothless, who smiled, innocently. If so, then they'll have rather a long conversation in the night.

"So, how is it?" The male questioned suddenly, to which Hiccup just shrugged.

"It's okay."

"Okay, you say?" he recited, leaning closer to her, tilting his head. "Then, maybe, my turn?"

Widening her eyes at him, Hiccup's body reacted instantly, getting out of the hold of his wing, and shooting herself forward, with just one push of the wings into the air. Afterward, Toothless raced after her, roaring to her, not wasting any time on useless questions.

The truth was these two loved chasing each other, and that was the result of their Night Fury-dragon nature. As the creatures of the night sky, velocity, clouds, and everything that had any connection to flying, it was rather predictable they would.

Then, it wasn't anything odd, seeing Hiccup giggling after glimpsing a larger, stronger Night Fury behind herself, and getting herself ready for the race of her lifetime, leading him into the woods. At the sight of so, Toothless wasn't amused, at all.

It was a well-known fact by them that almost, as Toothless counted it, half a year passed since the quoted male said the words: you might be faster, but I'm stronger. Now, Hiccup could update these words to: you might be bigger, but I'm more agile.

Because of that truth, it was obvious she would have chosen the track through the labyrinth of wooden pillars, which Toothless has a large problem avoiding, while for her, it's like a peaceful hike. Of course, such a choice had consequences, because both Night Furies knew, the only way he could catch her now, was by pouncing on her, and without any questions, he decided on that option.

So, Toothless chased Hiccup, and just at the moment when he thought he had a range to her, she disappeared, abruptly. Hence, firstly, he was shocked, by the timing of her vanishing, then upset and annoyed, by the rather irritating choice of hiding game, and finally, worried and concerned, by the imagines of every fatal event that could've had place.

Fortunately, before his anxiousness could make it to the hazardous level, he glimpsed her, being surprisingly still. The female was floating in the air, gawking somewhere forward, amazed, and without thinking it through, using the fact Hiccup was unaware of his presence, he pounced at her.

Subsequently, the two of them landed on the ground and rolled through something that felt for Toothless's back like tall grass. Ultimately, their circling stopped, with Hiccup's half-body ending on top of Toothless's chest, via the same male, obviously, and they chuckled, detecting each other's amusement.

"I got you," Toothless concluded, grinning at her, sticking his chest out, despite her weight on it.

"You got me," Hiccup responded, beaming and licking his mouth, swiftly. "Although, it's quite concerning that you were more focused on capturing me than even noticing where you are."

Confused, Toothless tilted his head at her, to which the female reacted by shaking her head, before gaping to the side astonished. Following her gaze, the male gasped, witnessing a rather gorgeous scenery.

The sun hid behind the horizon already, coating the sky with the purple areola, which's beauty got even prettier because of a few, white clouds of various shapes. Even so, what got the most of his attention was the ground under it, which was a field, covered by hundreds of golden, tall sunflowers, directed toward the disappearing light.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Hiccup inquired, suddenly, smiling brightly at him, while leaning her chin on his chest, comfortably.

"Beautiful," he agreed, licked her head, and lay his head on the ground, before the two of them silently enjoyed a rather tranquil moment.
