Ben Tennyson has found himself in another universe, one filled with magic he never imagined. He comes across a few wizards who invite him to their guild, Fairy Tail. Ultimate Fairy

Chapter 66: Homecoming

"Can you give me my cat?" Wendy asked him and he turned and saw a pile of of cats.

'Please don't be dead.' Kevin thought picking up all three of them and gave them to Wendy.

Before Kevin knew it Azmuth arrived via teleportation.

"Why wasn't I called Levin!?" Azmuth said in annoyance walking over to Ben "At least he looks fine." he said about to teleport with Ben away, but was stopped as Kevin took his remote "What are you doing!?" he said demanding to know why he was stopping him.

"This girl said her name was Wendy Tennyson, she's wearing Ben's jacket, and she has a concussion do that math smart guy!" Kevin said as Azmuth really pissed him off sometimes.

Azmuth was stunned by what he was told and saw Kevin's reason for stopping him "I shall take the girl and I'm assuming that girl is his mate?" he asked looking at the redhead holding Ben's hand.

"If he's dating her I will take back every bad thing I ever said about his skill with women." Kevin said to him "Just teleport all of us!" he said as that was a better solution.

'Ugh I hate this.' Azmuth thought as his teleporter was limited to a few people not a around two dozen 'It throws off the arrival destination.' he thought correcting some wires 'I am spending to much time with these people.' he thought as he was taking more risks than he ever did in his life than before he met them.

Wendy felt sore as she woke up on a soft bed, her vision bright as she opened her eyes adjusting to the light and her head feeling like it had been pounding 'Where am I?' she thought as she felt like she was in a hospital, but no hospital she had ever been in had been this sterile 'And the air here.' she thought as it was bland and tasteless as if artificial, she got out of bed and walked to the door, her feet cold being on hard metal.

The hallway Wendy entered was empty, she couldn't hear anything along the wind and the sounds kept bouncing off the walls for her to pick up anything useful, she began walking down one of the halls.

"Rebecca, how's the kid?" a man with a serious voice said carrying not much emotion

"He's fine, you know how he is, I am curious about the girl though." 'Rebecca' said getting the man's attention "Wendy Tennyson's blood is extremely healthy, but I am detecting small mutations in it." she said as if marveled by it.

Wendy was both curious and disturbed by how fascinated someone was with her blood, she began to walk away, but an alarm went off.

"Wendy Tennyson has escaped her room all personnel be on the lookout." a voice over the comms said.

'Five minutes and I'm already found out.' Wendy thought a bit embarrassed as she began to run away 'Need to find someone.' she thought not sure what to think of this place, but people interested in her blood was a bad sign, she looked around to find a way to get around and soon looked up and smiled.

'This is quite possibly the dumbest idea I have ever had.' Wendy thought crawling through the air ducts 'I need some clothes' she thought to herself as being half naked in a hospital gown was not ideal battle attire 'I am not fighting like Gray.' she thought to herself as she had more pride and dignity.

"How do you people lose a kid!" Kevin's voice said as Wendy looked below her seeing he was in the hallway.

'This is the guy that found me.' Wendy thought to herself as she remembered waking up before.

"Sir we had treated her wounds she should have been unconscious for at least another two days!" a man said on a badge Wendy recognized immediately as a Plumber's badge.

"I don't care find her." Kevin said hanging up "I swear I don't need a blood test only Ben's kid could be this stubborn to stay in bed and heal." he said dashing off.

Wendy watched as he left "Ok what do I know?" she asked herself looking at what she was wearing "I'm in a hospital, I think, I might be in dad's world, and to top it off I don't know where anyone is." she said as this seemed like a bad situation with not many things she knew "Ok upsides, they know my dad, so maybe it's not so bad." she said as she went to an exit vent and dropped down 'I really wish I had my plumber badge.' she thought to herself thinking if she did have her badge things would be easier.

There was a sudden explosion in a room nearby and having no self-preservation skills Wendy ran to it.

"I told you Blukic that the DNA was too complex and that we're searching for known species for this DNA!" Driba said to his other half.

"No you didn't." Blukic said to him.

Wendy watched as they fought but saw them examining her dad's jacket and hair that was easy to tell was the hair of the exceeds 'Thank you Happy.' she thought as Happy's baby blue fur was unmistakable, she entered quietly, the egos and anger of two as they fought very strong, she picked up her dad's jacket and was luckily able to find her dress and a plumber's badge 'Dad showed me how to work this.' she thought as while the same this one seemed more advance, it started flashing indicating whomever it belonged to was being called, she jumped back into the vents the galvin duo none the wiser.

"Driba, any status on those tests, we're looking for Wendy at the moment?" an elderly male voice said as the badge was answered.

Wendy put the badge down low enough so the fighting duo could be heard arguing and she heard a sigh from the badge.

"I'll be there in a minute." the elderly man said hanging up.

Wendy can't believe that actually worked 'Wow, these two must be dumber than Natsu and Gray.' she thought as even she could see that the two made less and less sense on more than one occasion 'Ok map.' she thought to herself seeing this place was large 'Prison cells?' she thought curiously.

"Attention everyone there is an isolated fire on the lower prison cell." a machine voice said over the comms.

'If that isn't a sign of Natsu I don't what is.' Wendy thought as the fire was luckily highlighted for her as she crawled through the vents.

'Probably a good assumption I'm on dad's world.' Wendy thought to herself as she saw multiple cells of aliens some of which she had seen him turn into, she dropped down carefully.

"Well this is certainly a surprise, what is a lovely little girl like you doing here?" a deep voice that seemed to be trying to put charm into it said as Wendy looked at the prisoner that spoke to her, he wore mostly black but had a metal helmet and attire.

"I'm looking for my friends." Wendy said spending enough time with Gajeel to know if someone was curious about you to keep it vague 'And after that last prison incident he wouldn't stop telling me things to avoid when talking to someone.' she thought to herself.

"Prison Break, plumbers must be getting sloppy if a child got past them." the man said to her "Why don't you let me go Ms…?" he asked trailing off wanting her to answer.

"Tennyson." Wendy said to him seeing his eyes widen even behind the helmet.

"Micheal Morningstar." Micheal said as she didn't seem to recognize the name "How about you let me out and I help you find your friends?" he asked her hoping she'd take his offer.

"How dumb do you think I am?" Wendy asked him wondering how much of a fool she must've looked like to him.

"Honestly knowing who you could be related to, it was a decent shot." Micheal said as he always thought Ben was the less intelligent member of the group "So what are you Ben or Gwen's little sister or something?" he asked fishing for info given his current predicament .

"Daughter." Wendy said seeing the shock in his eyes.

"What year is it?" Micheal asked wondering if he had lost time somehow 'Is that.' he thought sensing something familiar with the girl so close by.

Wendy decided to walk away seeing he had literally no use to her, she spotted scorch marks on a lower floor and saw a familiar mop of pink hair.

"You let me out of here you bastards!" Natsu said yelling at the top of his lungs.

"What did you do to me, I know I had clothes on when I was knocked out!" Gray said from in his own cell next to Natsu's in a hospital gown.

'Maybe, it was a good idea to stay hidden.' Wendy thought not seeing anyone else, when she saw no guards she jumped down to the lower floor "Natsu Gray!" she said glad to see them.

"Wendy!" they both said in relief seeing she was ok.

"Hold on." Wendy said raising the badge and seeing it flash as their cells opened.

"How'd you know to do that?" Gray asked curiously.

"Ben has a similar setup for his house, some of those badges act as house keys." Natsu said as he saw some badges Ben made do the same.

"So any ideas where we are or who has us?" Gray asked Wendy seeing as she was likely to know more.

"We're on my dad's Earth and I think we're in the plumber's HQ." Wendy said to him as that was the most likely answer.

"Doesn't explain why we were in jail cells." Gray said to her not liking this place so far "Where even is this place?" he asked no one in particular.

"We're underground." Natsu said to them getting odd looks "This place ain't moving, the air is too cold, I don't feel a breeze at all or smell anything in nature here." he said to them.

"So before we find the others up is our best bet." Gray said as that was the likely way out.

"So what happened when you woke up?" Wendy asked curious as to what they went through.

"I saw a guard and told him to let me out, when he came to sedate me I sparked him up a bit." Natsu said not above burning people that had it coming.

"That's when I woke up and saw him getting sprayed with a fire extinguisher." Gray said with a smirk as it seemed like an advance one and had a picture of Heatblast on the side.

"I wanna find Happy and the others." Natsu said wondering where his partner was.

They were caught off guard by an explosion.

"Listen champ, why don't you calm down before things get ugly real fast." a lazy and somewhat sarcastic voice said from the smoke.

"And why don't you go eat a banana you flea bag, now where's my cat!" Gajeel said the smoke clearing around him.

"Gajeel!?" Wendy said in surprise seeing the eldest Dragon Slayer.

"Squirt, you're ok, but stay out of this, this is between man and beast." Gajeel said as the smoke cleared and revealed who Gajeel was facing.

"A chimp?" Gray said in surprise that this one could talk.

"Is it a baby Vulcan?" Natsu asked as it sure smelled like a Vulcan.

"It's dead meat is what it is!" Gajeel said raising his fist "Iron Dragon Club!" he said as his fist extended but the chimp dodged and began firing at him with two red blasters.

"You should go to Vegas with that, you'd make a killing, looking for a manager?" the chimp said grinning at the thought of money "Hey wait I know you, your Tennyson's kid right?" he asked spotting Wendy.

"What's it to ya monkey?" Gajeel asked ready to pound the monkey into the ground.

Before anything else could be said a whistling sound was heard.

"Ow!" Gray said seeing a small needle in his arm and then toppled over.

The remaining Fairy Tail mages' eyes widened and looked in the direction of where the shot came from.

"Hey Doc I had this covered!" the chimp said before he as well was shot "Oh c'mon!" he said before sharing Gray's fate.

Natsu glared at the shooter and blasted her with a well-shot fireball "He alright?" he asked Wendy as she checked Gray.

Wendy pulled the needle out and saw it was a sedative "He's fine." she said as Natsu picked his semi-naked friend up.

"Ok being drugged, held prisoner, and these people overly suck can we go?" Gajeel asked them getting nods from his fellow slayers.

"Monkey, you there where are you?" a voice coming from the monkey said.

Gajeel having played enough of this searched the monkey and found an ear comm, he took it and figured he was live when he heard a click sound "I don't who this is, but you morons picked the wrong people to lock up, you wanna fight you got it." he said crushing the earpiece, he looked to Wendy and spotted she had a badge "Mind if I see that?" he asked curiously as she tossed it to him.

"What are you doing?" Wendy asked curiously.

"We used to talk through these back home, what if these morons are doing the same." Gajeel said as had a point.

Wendy opened up the channels they began shifting through them at random till they stopped at one that caught their interest.

"Nanite offload is almost complete, Agent Salazar should be decompressed soon." a voice said over the line.

They all shared the same thought 'Rex.' they thought together.

Rex woke up in a familiar glass tank 'Oh man am I Purgatory base again.' he thought feeling tired and soon felt a rush of adrenaline as he broke the tank and looked around seeing familiar equipment "Am I, home?" he asked himself in surprise.

The door to the room soon busted open and Rex saw some familiar faces.

"Guys we're on my earth!" Rex said happily.

"Your earth, then can you explain why everyone we meet is a dick!" Gajeel said as they were currently being shot at and he was using his Iron Dragon Scales to be a shield.

Rex saw providence agents and placed his hands on the floor frying their masks causing them to fall to the floor "Yeah they tend to be like that." he said as there had been many occasions like this in the past "What happened to him?" he asked looking to Gray.

"Some crazy chick shot him with a sedative." Natsu said to her.

"Ok, that sounds familiar." Rex said as he was too calm in the other's opinion as this seemed natural for him.

"Stop!" another group of guards arrived not wearing the same clothing as the other providence agents.

"Ok, I may be totally wrong." Rex said not recognizing the armor, he made his slam cannon and fired sending them all to the ground.

"You think we're on your Earth?" Wendy asked as Rex had told her how he and Ben had met and how vastly different their worlds were.

"Yeah, where else would we-!?" Rex was saying as he pulled the mask off one of the newest group of guards' faces and as he checked to cure him of nanites only to find he didn't have any active "What, where are we?" he asked as Ben said his world was nanite free, but this guard had a small amount in him.

"How about we split up, find our friends, and get out of here." Gajeel said as he took Rex and a barely awake Gray while Natsu went with Wendy.

…

"So tell me do you have any ideas where we are?" Gajeel asked Rex as he didn't like inconsistent information.

"I thought I did, but this place doesn't look like Providence and I'm sure Ben would've mentioned something about us possibly being locked up." Rex said to him.

Gajeel felt all his tracking skills were useless here, he focused all his thoughts on mentally mapping out where they were and then hit a familiar pink shield "Wendy?" he asked before spotting a redhead.

"Listen I don't know who you are, but you're clearly the people attacking." the redhead said to them.

"Ok mana this I am familiar with!" Gajeel said activating his Iron Nightmare mode "Choke on this." he said making his Iron Nightmare sword and cut through her shield.

…

"Kid trust me when I say you don't want to do this." a man in a pure white suit said to Natsu.

"Listen, old man, you picked the wrong guy to lock up." Natsu said igniting his fists.

Wendy stared down at a man with swords in a combat outfit "Pal I have faced monsters, what makes you think I'd be scared of you?" she asked as Erza was someone to be scarred of when swords were being used.

The man smiled as he saw no fear in her eyes "This'll be fun." he said charging at the girl.

Wetness, Ben felt wet all over his body and felt like he wasn't wearing any clothing, he slowly opened his eyes and saw he was in a tank and hooked up to a breathing mask, he felt an emptiness on his wrist and was surprised the Omnitrix was gone.

"You know, my life used to be a lot quieter till I started getting involved with you." a familiar voice said to him and he looked out the tank and saw the creator of the Omnitrix himself working on the device "You know I was surprised by what I was told upon your arrival, you have bred." he said as that was still mind-blowing "And it is a further marvel what you have been up to." he said as when the Omnitrix was scanned new DNA it took a genetic profile and he saw the profiles of the new species Ben scanned 'Diagon.' he thought as when he reached Laserscale's DNA profile he was concerned when he saw it was an amalgamation of three donours and one of them was a black dragon who reminded him much of Diagon in earlier years.

"It was bound to happen sometime." Ben said jokingly.

Azmuth was smarter than Ben even now when he thought you had the upper hand "You know that girl possesses mana correct, you gave it to her." he said to Ben making him look at him oddly "That girl has absorbed your mana on a cellular level and while mana is not genetic it is unique energy which has attuned itself to Wendy's own genetic structure." he said seeing he had lost Ben "Part of Wendy's biological makeup matches yours Ben for all intents and purposes she is in fact a Tennyson not just in name, but also in blood." he said as Verdona was here earlier.

Ben was shocked that Wendy had his actual blood inside her body.

"Now before your mind turns to mush from this revelation, Verdona explained and showed me what had happened, but I would like to hear how it was on Earthland for you." Azmuth said as Ben had his undivided attention.

Ben took a minute and breathed, he explained everything, joining Fairy Tail, stopping dark guilds, the Entrapment spell, the S-class trials, Hex, and finally Erza.

"So you found someone crazy enough to be with." Azmuth said brushing his mustache "I'm happy for you Ben." he said as that was true honesty as after losing his first love he worried Ben would end up like him or rather be like him before he met Ben.

"Thank you Azmuth, that means a lot." Ben said as Azmuth was family to him.

"Now the Omnitrix was in bad shape." Azmuth said as he saw some slight damage and pulled up some footage, he installed some surveillance in case the Omnitrix was damaged again as Ben did it on rare occasions "I replaced the parts and made the Omnitrix even more indestructible if that was even possible." he said as he knew Ben was likely to fight whatever caused it again.

Ben nodded in appreciation.

"Ben I want you to know I'm proud of you." Azmuth said out of nowhere catching Ben off guard "You've kept fighting even when you were beaten down you never stopped fighting to live, you made something when you had nothing, and have stayed the same obnoxious boy I met all those years ago." he said with a smile seeing Ben was annoyed "You have become a man, Ben, congratulations on reaching adulthood." he said knowing Ben was still two full years shy for his planets age of full maturity, but after everything, he has lived through and done he deserved to be treated as a man and not a child.

"Thank you Azmuth." Ben said with a smile and felt the tank drain and after it was empty he stepped out.

"Your scar has faded a few shades." Azmuth said as he treated Ben when he got that wound on his planet and knew it caused him great pain to even look at it as it was a constant reminder of that day.

Ben looked down at his scar and saw Azmuth was right.

"Time heals all wounds Ben, but only if we allow ourselves to heal." Azmuth said speaking from experience as he had metaphorical scars of his past that had healed because of Ben, but he was happy to see he was healing both physically and mentally, he placed the repaired Omnitrix back onto Ben.

"Hey, do you know where my friends are?" Ben asked curiously.

"The pink-haired one was overheating we needed to place him in the pyronite cell as the medical wing was not equipped for a fiery human, the doctors assumed the freezing one was in desperate need of heat so they placed him in the cell next to him to compensate for each other." Azmuth said recalling where they were placed "I think they are moving the one with metal all over his body and your daughter is in a private room if you wish to see her." he said making extra sure that girl had privacy and everything else she'd need.

"And the others?" Ben asked curiously.

"All in the plumber hospital wing here at the base." Azmuth said to him as that was about it "Oh I forgot your birthday was some time ago." he said snapping his fingers and soon a small tank appeared.

Ben looked and saw a small black ball "Is that a…Galvanic Mechamorph?" he asked seeing some green lights shine.

Azmuth didn't answer as he merely snapped his fingers as the pod drained and the ball fell to the ground and the ball took a familiar shape.

"Ship!?" Ben said in total shock as the dog version of one of his old aliens jumped at his face "Azmuth how is he here!?" he said in complete shock.

"Malware had an ability that drained many mechamorphs to husks often killing them when he did this before I did what I did to him." Azmuth said wanting to keep the past brief "I studied the husks and was able to learn a process and bring them back, it was much harder with Ship as I had to piece him back together bit by bit." he said not mentioning a certain Galvanic Mechamorph he had Max hunt and track down and gave him a choice of either giving up some of his genetic code to help fix Ship and all his crimes would be erased or not give it to them and he'd be thrown into the Null Void for interstellar piracy and theft.

"Azmuth I don't know what to say." Ben said as he was being licked by Ship.

"Don't say anything this was a gift." Azmuth said to him "Now let's go I wish to familiarize myself with your progeny and prepare myself accordingly." he said to him half serious and half joking as he wanted to be ready for future headaches, he had Kevin bring him Ben's clothing earlier and Ben got dressed.

The two left the room and soon they heard massive explosions.

"What are the odds that was your daughter's handiwork?" Azmuth asked him sighing as he felt he knew the answer.

"With the people I'm with less than you think." Ben said to him willing to bet anything one of those explosions was Natsu.

…

"I swear I blame you two!" Gajeel said as he yelled to Gray and Rex as a glowing pink comet chased them.

"How is this our fault!" Gray said in annoyance as they ran down the hall.

"Because you both did jack!" Gajeel said as he was the only one fighting the now purple and pink female shooting after them.

"Excuse us for never having fought a girl made of mana!?" Rex said before realizing something "Hey wait are you related to Ben and Verdo-!?" he was saying till the hallway filled with a mana blast.

…

"I gotta say kid your not bad, you use your powers pretty well, but I hate to tell ya, in pure skill you are lacking a bit." the man said to Wendy very impressed by what she could do at her age.

"And for a swordsman, you're not half bad." Wendy said as she saw the moves he did and they were similar to Erza's 'Hard work and discipline.' she thought to herself as that was Erza's answer when she asked her how good she could get with the Staff of Ages.

They both looked to see their partners duking it out and soon saw Natsu had encased his hand in fire and the man he was fighting had his suit pop up shoulder missiles, they called out to their partners as a massive explosion happened.

Ben made it to the prison area and saw his friends fighting, but he spotted someone very familiar he just had to greet "Gwen!" he said seeing his cousin.

Gwen froze hearing a familiar voice, one she didn't think she'd ever hear again, she looked up and saw her cousin alive and well "Ben!" she said shooting at him and wrapping him in a hug "Please don't ever go away like that again." she said crying mana tears slowly changing back.

"I'll try not to cuz." Ben said as she squeezed him even more tightly.

"Oh thank god, she's not gonna kill us." Rex said to himself before seeing Wendy and Natsu fighting two familiar faces "White Knight, Six!" he said seeing them.

Everything calmed down after that.

…

"Hey, do you know what's going on?" Rex asked Ben as he was in a private medical room.

Ben knew what he was referring to as he was wondering the same thing.

"While you two numbskulls were in another world this world had a minor convergence with Rex's your histories are exactly the same, but it was as if there weren't two worlds at all." Azmuth said not knowing till Paradox informed him about it happening.

"So we live on the same earth now cool." Rex said not seeing much of a problem.

"Are there any differences?" Ben asked feeling the need to ask.

"None whatsoever Paradox said so himself and I trust him on this subject." Azmuth said to him "Now Mr Salazar it has been a pleasure, but Ben and I need to go see Wendy." he said tapping Ben's shoulder with his foot

Ben chuckled and left the room and saw Wendy sitting in her hospital bed "Hey little lady I heard you had a fun day, how was the jailbreak?" he asked with a grin as he was very amused and a little proud she got past all the plumbers.

"It was easier than you think." Wendy said with a smile taking credit for her earlier actions.

"Oh help me, you've turned this girl into you." Azmuth said to Ben giving him a look.

"Hi, nice to meet you sir." Wendy said to him politely.

Azmuth jumped off Ben's shoulder and walked along the bed "A polite Tennyson, astounding." he said as even Max and Gwen could be as rambunctious as Ben.

"I take that as a compliment!" Verdona said proudly as she walked in.

"Ah yes, the source of your…everything." Azmuth said to Ben as he shrugged his shoulders.

"There she is my little troublemaker, already starting her own little bit of chaos." Verdona said sounding proud and happy.

"I fear for the galaxy if she ends up like her." Azmuth said to himself.

Ship was a little bored in Ben's arms and spotted Wendy and jumped onto the bed, both now sharing a look before Ship crawled over to her and began licking her face and relaxed on her side.

Verdona had mixed feelings with this particular species but she sensed more life in it than others of its kind so she'd allow it 'Plus Wendy has already fallen for him.' she thought seeing Wendy rub the area that would be Ship's belly.

They were all looking to the door when they heard Max Tennyson walk in.

"Hi, sport." Max said with relief seeing Ben ok, he pulled his grandson into a hug holding him as he would for dear life "Thanks for looking after him Verdona." he said as he had been looking for her as well.

"He's family Max." Verdona said as she knew how much family meant to Max and how far he'd go for the ones he loved most in the world, she was no different.

The door opened again revealing Gwen dragging along a familiar ruffian.

"Kevin, how are you dear." Verdona said greeting her granddaughter's boyfriend.

"Sane." Kevin said as that was a joke that played on many levels given who he was talking to "Hey Tennyson." he said glad to be able to actually speak to his best friend now "I heard you got laid." he said receiving a slap to the back of the head courtesy of Gwen and a small mana blast to the face courtesy of Verdona.

"Kevin, you are in the presence of ladies and a young impressionable maiden, speak properly or the next blast will be aimed down south." Verdona said with a sweet smile as Kevin paled knowing she was sadistic enough to do it.

Wendy just giggled at the scene reminded her of any day in the Fairy Tail guild.

"So you're the famous Wendy." Max said to her "I'm your great-grandfather, call me Grandpa Max." he said as he greeted the newest addition to his family "So champ mind filling us in on where you were?" he asked as he was curious too where his grandson was all this time.

Ben began to fill them in, but it got harder when he got to more serious stuff.

Verdona chose then to intervene as Ben had been through enough and he didn't need to repeat "That's enough for one day." she said in a tone that basically said that was final.

"I can't believe you became a mercenary." Kevin said as that was extremely surprising "I have a lot more respect for you now man." he said as Ben smirked at him.

Ben summoned forth his sword surprising the others who weren't aware he had mana.

"You can use mana?" Gwen asked in surprise seeing his eyes flash pink getting her answer.

"Awesome new skills man." Kevin said admiring the sword "What is this I can't tell the material?" he asked looking at the blade.

"It has no set structure it seems to be a fused material of certain earth metals, magical ones, and Diamonhead's own tadenite." Azmuth said as he was seeing the blade shifting "Multichangeable material?" he asked as it was slightly impressive as it seemed to be using all the properties from which it had been made.

Ben decided to show off changing it from its sword form to a bo-staff to a shield to a hammer and back to a sword.

"Ok, that is so cool!" Kevin said as he admired the weapon.

"I'm not letting you use it or sell it." Ben said as it was a gift from Erza, they all laughed as Kevin pouted.

"So where are you going to put everyone?" Gwen asked Ben as she was referring to the other people that came with him.

"Hey you ever finish that thing we talked about?" Ben asked Kevin curiously.

Kevin took a minute before laughing "Oh yeah it got done man." he said proudly.

"What did you two do?" Gwen asked/demanded wanting to know what had happened.

"You know how your dad helped me out with that lawsuit a few years back." Ben said getting a nod as she remembered when the hotel was suing Ben for that show Albedo kept performing Ben 10 live "Well he offered me some legal advice about all other people making a dime on my name, he became my lawyer and made sure I got royalties from merchandise and everything sold using my name and even for the stuff from when we were kids." he said as the stuff from when he was a kid were the harder lawsuits, but his uncle was great at his job and won each and every lawsuit.

"How much did you make?" Gwen asked him.

"Enough to the point I bought some property a while before I disappeared." Ben said to her as she glared at him "Ok ok seeing it would be best, Grandpa mind taking the others in the rustbucket?" he asked getting a nod.

"Nemesis Tower." Gwen said in surprise seeing some alterations done to it.

"It's now named Tennyson Tower and I had Kevin handle all the floor planning and remodeling, this place is stocked up with state-of-the-art Earth and alien technology." Ben said to her.

"What did you get out of it?" Gwen asked giving Kevin a critical look.

"A challenge and Ben kinda offered me my own floor, and the parking garage under the building is now my own personal workshop." Kevin said as it was a sweet deal he couldn't say no to "Plus too many people have broken into my garage." he said as the garage space he rented had been broken into too many times and he didn't want to keep paying a fine.

"So remind me how much we planned for this place?" Ben asked as he helped plan a lot but Kevin did most of the work.

"A lab and a med bay with stuff I appropriated from Azmuth." Kevin said as when Azmuth was here he kinda lifted some of the excess materials he brought "Two penthouse suites fully furnished, two floors designed to be like a hotel able to fit thirty people each, an armory for my-I mean our alien weaponry." he said correcting himself on the last part.

"Wait back up you two planned to house people here?" Gwen asked curiously wondering why they'd plan for that.

"Me and Ben kinda always saw and planned for a day when someone was gunning for us or maybe Earth was in danger you know the regular drill." Kevin said as she nodded "Well we kinda set this up for our family and friends in case we were forced to be held up here." he said as they had a lot of allies and family so he made extra sure these floors were secure and comfortable because of his mom and his friends family members.

"Still sixty people?" Gwen asked as that seemed a lot.

"Don't we have a lot of people now?" Kevin asked as his preparedness came through again.

"C'mon, we got people we gotta room." Ben said as he and Kevin left with the Fairy Tail members.

"How many of our friends are secretly loaded!" Happy said exiting the Rusbucket as they all saw the tower Ben owned.

"Can I be the one to point out we have a demolition team with us." Mira said pointing to Gildarts, Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel being in a large building like this didn't give her comfort knowing she was going to be in the same building as them.

"Yeah hate to say it but he seems a bit unstable." Gwen said feeling Gildarts power come off in waves.

"Allow me." Verdona said as a necklace appeared on his neck "That should do the trick, your power won't come out unless you will it." she said as the necklace with her mana was acting as a barrier for his body and would react to his intentions.

"Gildarts please, for the love of everything keep that on, for the rest of your life." Makarov said as that necklace would be a blessing.

"Ha ha ha." Gildarts said sarcastically but couldn't deny the use it'd be for someone like him.

"And you three will be on your best behavior or I will give you THAT punishment." Makarov said as Natsu and Gray shook and Gajeel was as well as Makarov had threatened him with it at one time.

Ben, Kevin, and Gwen helped everyone settle in, but there was one thing that set Gwen off.

"You're sleeping with her!" Gwen said demanding answers as she was glaring at Ben.

"I can't believe it." Kevin said looking at a blushing Erza and a retreating Wendy who did not want to be anywhere near this conversation and went to look for a room in the penthouse.

"Just in the same bed we're not doing, the other thing." Ben said also blushing.

"Ok step up, but I am less impressed now." Kevin said to him getting a serious glare from Gwen all but telling him his next words would cost him.

"And still no great grandbabies." Verdona said as she was nearby hearing Gwen scream.

"You're not gonna quit on that are you?" Ben asked as she flashed him a devious smile he now knew he directly inherited from her.

"Not until I have what I want." Verdona said with a victorious smile on her face.

"Grandma behave!" Gwen said somehow the most mature person in the group.

Max watched in amusement as this conversation was certainly entertaining "You should have seen your grandma when she had your parents she was glowing, literally, everytime she was pregnant." he said seeing Verdona blush remembering when she had her children and how romantic Max was back then.

"Remind me to mark whatever room they decide to have." Kevin said thinking he should or have someone burn the room down.

"And what is she gonna wear?" Gwen asked Ben.

"Erza if you please." Ben said as Erza used a requip spell and transformed in a pair of pink pajamas.

"Wait her magic lets her remove her clothes?" Kevin asked Ben then thought of the possibilities.

"It's called requip it lets a person store materials in storage most people are limited, but Erza is special, she can store suits of armor and weapons in hers." Ben said as her nickname wasn't the knight for nothing.

Erza blushed at being called special from Ben as it was nice to hear praise from him.

"Really." Kevin said rubbing his chin thinking about what he could smuggle with that skill.

"Listen we have had a long, wait how long were we even out?" Ben asked wondering how long they slept for.

"We found you at six pm and it's past midnight." Kevin said to him as he was surprised they could even move after the state they were in..

"That reminds me, we're going to talk about you and the secrets you keep from me." Gwen said pulling him by the ear.

"Max!" Kevin said calling for an assist.

Max knew why he kept it secret so he threw him a bone and went to help him.

Ben took it as a victory she forgot about him and Erza.

Ben and Erza stared at the ceiling not ready to sleep, both having millions of thoughts running through their mind.

"So this is your world." Erza said as when she rode with Ben in his sports car, she was marveled by how different the societies were between the worlds, how things didn't run on magic and how out of place she felt.

"Yeah weird huh, I honestly didn't think we'd get a chance to have this conversation." Ben said in total honesty.

Erza had to admit she thought this day could happen, she just never thought it would've been so soon.

"Wanna watch the snow fall?" Ben asked as he looked out the giant glass wall leading to his deck.

Ben and Erza got up and looked out the window and watched the snow fall gently over Bellwood.

"I can see why you wanted to get home so badly, it's beautiful." Erza said as she looked at all the bright lights in the city.

"I fought for my home I spent most of my life in Bellwood, it was hard to be away from it for so long." Ben said thinking of the irony of when he was a kid and he wanted so desperately to get out of Bellwood.

Erza felt the same about Magnolia as it had been her home for years.

The two sat next to each other finding peace in the snow falling and soon fell asleep.

"Hey sorry that you had to do this." Ben said feeling a bit guilty as he had Kevin borrow the Rustbucket from Max to load up on groceries for all the people here.

"Dude it's no problem." Kevin said as he knew why Ben asked him to go instead of him doing it himself.

"So how bad was it while I was gone?" Ben asked needing truth and Kevin was the only one who could deliver it.

"Lot of people thought they could lay claim to Earth, some people thought with you dead this place was easy pickings." Kevin said as it was a bit rough not having Ben here "We got help from the Plumbers Helpers and Max reached out to some people to throw in an assist." he said as it was great having the old war team back together.

"The Earth couldn't have been in better hands." Ben said to him as they fist-bumped "So how bad has my media status gotten?" he asked wondering what the media said about him being gone for so long.

"Jimmy kinda blew the whistle in a month, we kinda forgot about him." Kevin said as Jimmy was the first to notice Ben hadn't been on the news for a while "Hey um I'm sorry I rode on you a lot about your fame." he said as this was a secret not even Gwen knew, but Ben had purposely drew the attention of the media to keep the media off of him and Gwen.

"Oh man what happened?" Ben asked wondering what happened.

"Some reporter clown was harassing my mother." Kevin said as without Ben doing his thing people came to him as Gwen's father was a well-known lawyer so no one was dumb enough to go after her not accounting for the occasional dumb teenager.

"Oh dude I am so sorry." Ben said to him.

"Dude I kinda asked for it, I always talked smack to you about your fame even when I knew you were doing it for us, I feel like a jerk." Kevin said as he hated the attention when he got it as it costed him his privacy and they went after his mom.

"So what are they saying about us?" Ben asked him.

"Well, people are wondering if I'm human." Kevin said as if nothing really mattered as he never really had any issues with bloodwork proving he was "People are idiots I am not kidding." he said as he always assumed his alien DNA was active when he used his powers similar to Alen when he switched between his two forms "And first two months were ok after that is when people started using their heads, they thought you left Earth or you know dead given a lot of people we know attacked Earth." he said to him.

"How long do you think I have till people know I'm back?" Ben asked him before they felt their phones vibrate.

Both looked at their phones and saw multiple articles, mainly about Ben.

"Crap." both said reading them said as they began reading them.

"Check this one out, 'Has Bellwood's hero returned, Ben Tennyson was seen late last night with his cohort Kevin Levin.'." Ben said to him.

"I'm your cohort, well better than a sidekick." Kevin said to him "Oh great it's the tool." he said as he and Ben followed one Will Harangue.

"Ladies and gentlemen we are under dire circumstances, the formerly deceased menace Ben Tennyson has come back from the dead to further haunt our lives." Harangue said showing a picture of Ben leaving his sports car.

"I thought this was private property?" Ben asked Kevin as this looked close to here.

"It is I'll check security later." Kevin said as they kept watching.

"We have all enjoyed a time of peace without the ILLEGAL ALIEN, Ben Tennyson." Harangue said as Ben and Kevin rolled their eyes.

"Does he ever fact-check what he says?" Kevin asked no one in particular as crime had been on the rise since Ben was gone.

"And worst of all he is corrupting our youth." Harangue said as a blurred picture of Wendy was shown.

"I am going to kill him." Ben said as it hadn't been a full twenty-four hours and Harangue is already making him miserable.

"Hey man, it could be worse." Kevin said to him.

"Really how?" Ben asked him before the universe answered the call.

"And for the final piece of this segment ladies and gentlemen, Ben Tennyson is seen leaving his car with yet another woman he intends to corrupt." Harangue said as he showed a perfect picture of Erza's face as she got out of the car "This young woman needs to remember what happened to the last woman involved with Tennyson, a young woman with a talented future, and it was all taken away when she died under distressing circumstances." he said showing a picture of Julie Yamamoto.

Kevin really hated this guy as when Julie died the man would not stop coming after Ben taking many jabs at him with her loss "I'll upgrade security." he said not allowing this moron to get the better of him and torture Ben.

Ben took a deep breath and calmed himself down and turned off his phone "I'm ok." he said as Kevin gave him a look of disbelief "I refuse to let him have power over me with Julie's death." he said as Julie's death was still a sore subject, but he would not let Harangue torture him using her against him.

"Dude, what happened to you?" Kevin asked wondering what happened to him on that world as Ben normally would've broken down a bit hearing Julie's name 'He didn't even get angry.' he thought as he wasn't sure if this was a good or bad sign as changes in Ben varied from things that happen to him.

"Kevin a lot, but I'm ok, I promise." Ben said as he walked inside.

Ben visited Makarov as he wanted to talk to him about the guild adjusting to their new conditions.

"It seems we're at a reversal of roles my boy." Makarov said as they shared a laugh.

"How are your injuries?" Ben asked the man wondering how he was healing.

"Fine but we may have another issue." Makarov said to him as Ben raised an eyebrow "Ben, I don't feel any magic returning to me." he said to him.

It took Ben a minute to realize "If you use your magic you die." he said in realization as without ethernano they were as good as dead, he remembered when Makarov lost all his magic during the war with Phantom.

"I believe the dragon slayers are alright." Makarov said happy about that "But for some reason, Erza, Gray, and the exceeds are getting their magic back." he said to him.

"The X-balls." Ben said in realization "Mystogan gave all of us Exceed blood, that's how they are generating magic." he said as in Edolas there was no ethernano so the Exceeds must've been generating it themselves.

"And without Porlyusica, we can't make more." Makarov said as some of his children were safe, but not the others.

"Tenrou had readings of energy its soil may be a good place to absorb ethernano or maybe mana is the answer." Ben said as mana and ethernano were similar energies and he knew some people on Earthland who could use mana spells like Brain/Zero.

"Thank you Ben." Makarov said as he'd instruct all his children who weren't able to replace power or generate it themselves to hold off on using magic "So how are you?" he asked him curiously as it was hard to return to an old environment after being in a new one for so long.

"Honestly I think I am in some form of shock, I know things are coming and I was used to them before, but I don't know, I just don't feel worried." Ben said as it was hard being famous before now it still annoyed him, but he felt less stressed.

Makarov understood what he meant as it was hard to return to something, especially given these circumstances "You're readjusting to something you haven't done in a long while." he said to him willing to offer an ear whenever Ben would need it "But I sense there is something on your mind?" he asked him wondering what it was.

Ben was silent as he had something on his mind ever since coming back "We don't know how we got here, but we know someone who can go between my world and yours." he said to him.

"Hex." Makarov said as while it was not on his mind immediately, he knew they'd have to try and find a way to get back home.

"Your mind and heart are in the right place Ben, but I feel you may have a hard time with that." Paradox said showing up "Also you are late." he said to him.

"Late?" Ben asked him "Late for wha-" was all he said before he was teleported away.

"Ah it is good I caught you Makarov, I believe we are long overdue for a chat." Paradox said summoning up some tea "I can't tell you how often it is that I get to enjoy a spot of tea with someone." he said with a smile.

"Is there a reason why you sent Ben away?" Makarov asked him wondering why he took such actions.

"Because the young man has more on his plate and could use this time to reprieve." Paradox said to him as Makarov nodded "I am here to inform you that there are certain repercussions to what I have done." he said to him.

Makarov was listening intently wondering what he meant.

"When Ben arrived in your world I changed the when of his arrival." Paradox said seeing the confusion on Makarov's face as this was his first time travel scenario "You see there is something called dimensional travel and cross-time travel, when Ben was sent to your world I changed it so he was sent back in time to your universe instead of arriving at the point he would've gone normally." he said to him.

"And why do this without his knowing?" Makarov asked as it seemed a bit much that this man changed Ben's life for his own purposes.

"Because the pros outweighed the cons, do you know Ben was not needed for the missions he went on with his team?" Paradox asked him curiously getting a scathing look.

"Are you telling me he went through all that for nothing?" Makarov asked wishing he could use his magic to bash the man into the wall.

"Yes and no." Paradox said sipping his tea quietly "Think of it like this without Ben, the mining town he went to with Erza would have been destroyed, the fishing port he went to with Wendy and Gajeel would've been blasted with the Etherion cannon, the guild would still be threatened by you Magic Council." he said listing but a few things.

"What would've happened if you had not intervened?" Makarov asked him curiously.

"Ben would have arrived at the guild six months ago, the guild in its poor state without you, he would've done jobs and cleaned up the guild earning himself a reputation much smaller than the one he has after contributing to all of the battles that barely required him." Paradox said as it was a true statement "Makarov you need to understand, this is not your time, in the Fairy Sphere time moves at a different pace, I was able to teleport you all back to Ben's time because of the temporal vacancy you had." he said as he saw Makarov was very much keeping up with him, but it did nothing to stop his shock.

"How long have we been gone?" Makarov asked him.

"At this moment six and a half years, you'll be able to return in six months." Paradox said to him looking at his watch and then closed it.

"Can I ask why you did this?" Makarov asked wondering what the point was as changing so much seemed like the man was playing god.

"I intervene here and there and make a small change whenever possible, but this change was needed Makarov, think about it, if you were in my position and could grant people a better opportunity to live their lives would you not?" Paradox asked seeing the man's silence as all the answer he needed.

Makarov looked at his tea which he had yet to drink and thought of all the pain Ben went through and then all the goodness he brought with him "Let me ask you something would Ben not being at Fairy Tail now have changed anything for my children?" he asked unsure of how to feel about Ben being with the entire guild rather than being there for them when it needed him most.

"Small changes would have been present I will not deny, but none more than him being at the point I sent him, if you don't believe me think of Erza, Wendy, and Gajeel." Paradox said as Makarov couldn't deny that "Erza found love early on and has been living her life happily, Gajeel is more open to those he is close to, and dear Wendy has a father." he said to him.

"Did you know all of this would happen?" Makarov asked wondering of the sight this man must've had.

"Oh no, I am well aware there are infinite possibilities, but none more so than when Ben Tennyson is involved, in some timelines he doesn't end up with Erza, Gajeel isn't his roommate, and the relationship with Wendy always varied, in some he is her older brother, others mentor, and in a few timelines she was blasted off of Tenrou Island and later found by the Rune Knights, she would've been eighteen by the time Ben had arrived and the now older Wendy would've found love with him instead of Erza." Paradox said as there were many variables "Time is always changing Makarov, I am only aware of possible futures, I make mistakes believe me of this I am aware, but if you knew what I knew, you'd know that no future is set in stone and that life has a way of surprising you." he said as even he didn't know everything.

Makarov was silent now drinking his tea "What do I tell my children?" he asked him not knowing how to tell them that six and soon-to-be seven years will have passed by the time they return home.

"I'd wait and if they ask, tell them you are working on something with Verdona and young Gwendolyn." Paradox said to him.

"So lie." Makarov said to him flatly.

"It's only lying if you are not doing anything, cheerio." Paradox said as he vanished.

Makarov had a very complicated meeting with the time walker not knowing what he could or should do with the information he had been given, but he did settle on that he hated time travel.

"My car?" Ben asked wondering why Paradox sent him here.

"Hey, I disabled street cameras and I put in the directions to the navigation." Kevin said to Ben from outside his car.

"Ok, why?" Ben asked curious as to why he did that.

"You texted me saying you wanted to go to your house and that you didn't want the press stalking you." Kevin said showing him the message on his phone.

Ben saw there was a message there and checked his phone 'Paradox.' he thought to himself.

"Sorry, we're late!" Erza said coming down with Wendy, both in very casual wear, Erza wearing her standard blouse and blue skirt, no longer having bandages and Wendy was wearing a blue t-shirt and black pants, but the jacket Ben had made her was over it.

"I swear I'll never get over the fact that there is a mini you." Kevin said as he laughed a bit.

"She has the Tennyson charm." Ben said to his best friend.

"What an instinct for violence, rule-breaking, destruction, and insanity?" Kevin asked as he saw all those traits from Max, Verdona, Gwen, and Ben and often wondered if it was genetic.

"Yep." Ben said as that was pretty much what made a Tennyson a Tennyson "Hey did you call them here?" he asked him.

"Yeah, I used the comm system, you said you were busy and wanted to show your girls to your folks." Kevin said scrolling up and showing him his first message that said 'Mind calling Erza and Wendy down to go to my parents' place?'.

'I swear I gotta start learning Paradox's tricks.' Ben thought to himself as Erza opened the door and pushed the seat back so Wendy could get in the back.

"You want some winter gear or anything it's cold outside?" Kevin asked them as it did snow last night.

"I have old jackets that could fit Wendy." Erza said as she never cleaned out her requip storage dimension and still had clothing from her childhood in there, she gave Wendy the clothes she was now wearing.

Ben turned on the heaters wanting to preheat his car and soon drove off, following Kevin's map trusting his driver instincts.

"The city seems more lively at day." Erza said seeing many people on Bellwood's streets.

"It's pretty active we're near New York one of the busiest cities in the world and Bellwood is pretty close to it." Ben said to her as even before his secret was blown this city got certain attention with certain photos of him and other oddities.

"Do you believe I could drive?" Erza asked as she had seen the speed Ben's sports car was capable of and it intrigued her.

"I'll give you some lessons." Ben said as he had Grampa Max making each of his guild mates false and fake identities.

Wendy had to admit she liked the feel of the sports car "Got anything I can drive?" she asked curiously.

Ben chuckled "Nothing on hand." he said to her "Actually I take that back I do." he said getting a look from Erza.

"Children can drive here?" Erza asked as driving a magic mobile required one to be at a certain age.

"Not until they're sixteen." Ben said to her "Wendy check under Erza's seat." he said as Wendy did as asked and found a small circle which soon opened becoming more rectangle shape "One of my old hoverboards I keep some on hand in case one of my flightless aliens needs some air time." he said to her.

"So I'll be able to fly?" Wendy asked as that sounded awesome and ever since Verdona took her flying that one time it was very memorable.

"Pretty much I'll give you lessons later." Ben said as it was not a skateboard as it was more like surfing.

Erza let out a small chuckle seeing Wendy beam at the promised lesson and soon saw the car had stopped "Is this your childhood home?" she asked seeing the small home.

"Yeah." Ben said as they exited the car and stopped seeing a small memorial to him with candles and flowers "It must've been hard on them." he said as he felt both Erza and Wendy hug him.

"I can tell you from experience that this is often hard." Erza said as she still remembered Lisanna coming back "Thinking someone is dead, someone you love is hard, but think of how much better they'll feel to know you're alive." she said as while she was glad Lisanna was back, she thought it was selfish of her to let them think she was dead even if she didn't want to return to Earthland, it would've denied Natsu, Happy, Elfman, and Mira much deserved closure to know she was alive, living happily in another world.

Ben took out his keys and opened the door, he pushed Wendy and Erza to the side dodging a blaster shot, and just as he was about to slam down on the Omnitrix, he saw it was his own father that had taken the shot "Dad?" he asked in surprise.

"Who are you, another scammer with an ID mask, a Sludgepuppy, or are you just some other type of heartless monster." Carl Tennyson said aiming his father's old blaster at Ben.

"Your name is Carl Tennyson, and I'm your son, Benjamin Kirby Tennyson, I share the same date of birth as Gwen Tennyson, you and my mom want me to call you Carl and Sandra which I am still heavily reluctant against, three years ago you and mom tried to stop me from being like Grandpa Max and grounded me, but I fought you at every turn and when I broke the wall of my room to save my friend Kevin Levin you followed me to a boat on the docks and used that very gun to have my back and when you ran out of ammo I used it as a bat to send the Highbreed flying." Ben said hoping this detailed answer would be enough for his dad.

Carl Tennyson looked at Ben in shock as he knew only Ben could know that and give the answers in such detail "Ben?" he asked in shock lowering his dad's old gun.

"It's me, Dad, I'm home." Ben said as he looked him dead in the eye.

Wendy and Erza watched as Ben's father dropped the gun and pulled him into a hug and cry.

"Carl what is with-!?" Sandra was asking till she froze seeing her son's face "Ben?" she asked seeing him smile in the way only her son could.

"Hi, mom." Ben said feeling her tackle into the hug he was having with his father feeling her cry onto his person.

"You're back home." Sandra said happily and then noticed they had an audience "Oh I'm sorry." she said wiping her tears away.

"Mom dad this is Erza Scarlet, I was kinda trapped in another universe for the last six months." Ben said slowly introducing her "She and I are kinda dating." he said as he saw his girlfriend blush at meeting his parents.

"Oh, Ben that's wonderful." Sandra said happily before she noticed the little girl next to Erza and saw she was wearing a jacket that was almost identical to Ben's "And who are you sweetie?" she asked the question being more wide open than to just Wendy.

"I'm Wendy, Wendy Tennyson." Wendy said as she knew this was going to be an explosion of powerful emotions like when it was announced to the guild.

Carl and Sandra were shocked as they looked at Ben in total surprise.

"I adopted her while I was in the other universe." Ben said as they sat down and explained what happened.

"I have a grandbaby." Sandra said scooping Wendy into a hug "Oh, she's so precious like a little blueberry." she said holding Wendy close and tight.

Wendy blushed at the mention of her favorite treat and being called as such.

"Oh, I just made a blueberry and strawberry pie the other day." Sandra said going into the kitchen unknowingly getting the eternal love and gratitude of both Wendy and Erza "I hope you like it I just love mixing flavors when I cook." she said to them.

Ben chuckled now understanding where his exotic tastes came from and glad it was his mother's pie as his mother couldn't cook, but she could bake.

"Doc please, enough tests I'm fine." Rex said as they were inside Ben's place where Holiday was currently taking over the medical room "I still can't believe you shot Bobo." he said as Holiday was the one who fired at Bobo and Gray knocking them out.

"Would you waste an opportunity to shoot at Bobo?" Holiday asked curiously as Bobo got on everyone's nerves.

"I sure wouldn't." Six said walking in "How you doing Rex?" he asked looking Rex over and spotting a scar on his side.

"Hey, Six." Rex said greeting the closest thing he ever had to a father "And as good as." he said to him knowing he could spot a lie blindfolded and deaf.

Six nodded "You look in better shape than when Breach had you in her doll house." he said smiling as Rex laughed.

"Yeah that was, wait." Rex said in realization "You remember, you remember before!?" he asked in total surprise.

"Yeah kid, I'm back to being one hundred percent." Six said to him "Some guy in a lab coat showed up when I was tracking down a league and just touched me and soon I was well, me again I guess, you could say I'm old and new Six." he said as he had his memories of Rex back, but he still had his drive from his previous life "Also he gave me a message for you." he said holding up a small cylinder like device.

"This is from my dad's lab, they gave me electronic cubes to decipher to test my powers." Rex said realizing what this was.

"Yeah we tried to open it, but we felt we'd destroy whatever contents were inside." Six said as he wasted no time bringing it to Holiday and they tried almost everything to get it open, but it was locked in on nanite code, so only Rex could talk to it.

Rex took it and held his fingers on the end of the cylinders and then the pieces turned and soon it opened and revealed a flash drive.

"There's a console over there." Holiday said pointing to the console with multiple console ports varying on Earth and alien types.

"Hey, how'd you guys get involved with the plumbers anyway?" Rex asked wondering how they went from EVOS to aliens.

"Providence after the worldwide cure you did, has become a planetary defense force, we work alongside the Plumbers, but only on Earth." Six said to him.

"I honestly wished we had some of the things they have in here, they have ways of preventing nanites from entering a body." White Knight said walking in "Hey kid." he said seeing the scar on his side "Van Kleiss took a piece of you, you take a piece of him?" he asked curiously getting glares from Six and Holiday from mentioning the brutal scar he now had.

"He's probably dead by now." Rex said seeing the surprised look on their faces.

"Wait wait wait, Van Kleiss is iced, did you ice him kid?" Bobo asked walking in as he was outside the door to the medical bay the entire time.

"No, he caused some trouble with the law in the world he and I were in and he was being charged for his crimes there, if he's not dead, he's rotting in a cell nanite free." Rex said to them.

Six eyed Rex carefully "Not many people can walk away from revenge kid." he said to him getting a glare from Holiday "What I mean Rex, is can you move on with your life knowing Van Kleiss is alive?" he asked as to have an enemy like that and not give in to one's anger and end them was noble and showed a strong will, it did leave a hole in one's self.

Holiday hated to admit it, but she was curious as well about that answer.

"Listen I can live with what choice I made, I have been ever since I got my memories back." Rex said as he remembered his life to the last detail, he especially remembered how much of an ass he was in a lot of his life or lives during each reset.

"It baffles me how mature you can be." White Knight said to mostly himself.

"So what are you going to do now, I mean there isn't much EVO work?" Six asked as Van Kleiss was Rex's only real threat and with him gone alive or dead, he was in another dimension.

"Well, the Plant is nearby a few miles outside Bellwood." Rex said to himself "May just rework some stuff and turn it into a place to chill." he said to himself.

"You know Ben has offered you a large apartment in this building right?" Six asked wondering if he was aware of that.

"Yeah didn't want to abuse his hospitality plus I was gonna have the place be an off the books Providence base, was gonna put all the charges on Providence's dime." Rex said to them.

"Excuse me!" White Knight asked in indignation "Why in the name of everything would I let you run an off-the-books Providence base!?" he asked wondering where he got the gall to say that to him like it was going to happen.

"Because everyone who was a threat that knew about it is gone and it was already fitted with a lot of tech already, it just needs an Upgrade." Rex said seeing they didn't get the reference "I was gonna ask Ben or Kevin at the least to help retrofit it." he said as he was gonna offer Ben a place here since there was a large vacancy and he'd be working with Ben more closely "You can have Ben and the Plumbers chip in since I'm sure if Ben was involved they'd cover most of the cost." he said to them.

"That's actually a good idea." Holiday said to him slightly impressed.

"Oh, and I need my team." Rex said missing Kristen, Tuck, and Walter.

"Fine, but Noah and Kenwyn Jones are in charge." White Knight said as if he was to even entertain this idea, Rex would need to be watched.

"Hey, what about me, everybody forget about the monkey?" Bobo asked sounding angry but was in reality curious.

"You are an assistant at best." White Knight said as no one could deny that "Plus you're paid to monitor and assist Rex so as far as I'm concerned you are an overpriced babysitter." he said as there was no way to deny that.

"So keep watching the kid got it." Bobo said as he no longer cared.

"Holiday you mind watching over the project?" Rex asked getting a nod in return as he trusted her very much and no one messed with Holiday.

"What'll you be doing in the meantime?" Six asked curiously.

"I have some friends from another world who are trapped here best I can do is help them acclimate properly." Rex said as while he spent his time divided between Edolas and Fiore, no matter what this was still his family.

"People are on the lawn." Carl said seeing fans and reporters "I really dislike our neighbors sometimes." he said as the neighbors often reported the most about Ben on his day-to-day especially when his secret first came out, a lot of them made a lot of money on it getting pictures of Ben.

"You can sneak out the back." Sandra suggested as that had been what Ben had done in the past whenever people often built up in front of their house.

"Still have that hoverboard?" Ben asked Wendy.

"This is incredible!" Erza said as Ben had some hoverboards in his parent's home and now all three of them were flying, she was used to having something assist her in flight usually an ability of her armors, but to have flight with the assistance of the device under her was very exciting as it took a different degree of control and took skill to use.

"How you doing Wendy!?" Ben asked as the wind was blowing as they flew, she was now in blue jeans and a black turtleneck under her jacket.

"This is the coolest day of my life!" Wendy said doing barrel rolls and spins.

"It's like she was born to fly." Erza said as it was probably due to her Sky Dragon Slayer magic or the fact she was bird-like in Dragon Force "I wonder how she's not motion sick yet?" she asked no one in particular as seeing Natsu and Gajeel have the condition made her wonder why Wendy didn't.

"Her DNA is slightly altered, she's like Gwen now human and Anodite." Ben said to her explaining what Azmuth told him about him giving Wendy his mana.

"So alien DNA takes away a Dragon Slayer's motion sickness?" Erza asked curious as to how that worked as she remembered when Natsu had Cannonbolt's DNA.

"Maybe Dragon Slayer magic works on a genetic level, I mean Mira has demon blood yet she was born human." Ben said as they had seen Dragon Force in action and saw what it did to their skin and what they could grow.

Erza had to admit his point was valid and even more so with the evidence he provided "So can Natsu and Gajeel attain this?" she asked wondering if it was possible.

"No, my mana was basically a part of me it's why she is part anodite like Gwen, Wendy may gain a trait of mine but it's highly unlikely." Ben said to her "Gajeel and Natsu ate radiation no chance for them to get DNA." he said absolutely sure as NRG's excess radiation was not genetic except his form and Corrodium was a radioactive material like uranium so either of them changing was non-existent.

They both looked ahead seeing Wendy slow down and covering her ears and before they knew it they heard the heavy spinning blades of three helicopters surrounding them.

Max was getting an alert from Plumber HQ and saw a news feed "Oh no." he said to himself, he couldn't go to Ben as he was currently with the Fairy Tail guild serving them a large helping of breakfast, and while he preferred alien cuisine he was lacking ingredients and could only use what Ben had bought this morning.

Verdona saw the alert and turned on the TV "Ben only you would be caught in the air with your pants down." she said finding it a bit funny.

The Fairy Tail guild all gathered round to see what was happening.

"Ben 10 alive." Lucy said reading the headline guessing people thought he was dead.

"People here must be idiots if they think Ben of all people can die." Gajeel said stuffing his face as Max cooked his food pretty great.

Makarov was silent as that was how people probably saw them given the time frame of them being gone it would be a guaranteed assumption.

"Ben Tennyson, you have been missing for six months, do you and your cohorts have a statement for the public?" a news reporter asked.

"Yeah, villains and bad guys I'm back and it's hero time!" Ben said turning into Astrodactyl "I was going for Upgrade but this works too." he said using the jetpack on his back with the hoverboard creating much thrust "Squak fly to the tower!" he said as it was better to split up, but sadly each helicopter went one of them.

"Mysterious woman seen with Ben Tennyson evading questioning, who is this woman Ben seems to be so near ever since his return?"

"Small child seen with the famous Ben Ten, are we seeing him readying the next generation of hero, are we seeing another possible alien girl, or is there something more to this child?"

"Ben Tennyson seems to be evading us, never before has Ben Tennyson not involved himself in an interview unless an emergency."

The Fairy Tail guild saw Erza, Wendy, and Ben on the news, it was all balanced out as everyone was curious about where Ben was and who Wendy and Erza were being with him.

"Fucking vultures." Laxus said to himself "It's not gonna stop until he comes out to the public." he said to no one in particular.

"Why the hell does he need to answer those peons they're idiots?" Gajeel asked not seeing the issue "We've dealt with Sorcerer Weekly when they hound us." he said to him.

"Yeah, that's what a dozen people when it's not that crazy psycho fan Jason?" Laxus asked rhetorically "We can handle guys like that, but this world everyone on Earth and space want Ben, we can dodge it all we want, but it'll keep getting worse." he said as no one had a retort for that as the reporters were literally flying after them.

Astrodactyl changed back to Ben as he landed on his Tower's roof and soon so did Erza and Wendy.

"That was awesome can we do it again!?" Wendy said as flying was one thing, but racing and being chased was so much fun.

"I think she's spending too much time with me or Natsu." Ben said to Erza as they remembered a timid girl, now she was rushing toward excitement.

Erza didn't seem bothered as Wendy seemed happy and as long as she was not hurting herself or anyone, it should be fine.

Ben saw the helicopters back off as his building had turrets rise up and send them a message about invading his air space "I need to address the public." he said as he knew what he was signing in for.

"I think you mean we do." Rex said as he came onto the roof "Nice helicopter race, but I think we need to have a discusion." he said to him.

"This is going to get worse before it gets better." Max said to Fairy Tail, Ben, Rex, Holiday, Six, and White Knight.

"Magister Tennyson is right." White Knight said respecting his rank and his service record "Ben and Rex are two powerful people and famous worldwide for saving the planet and for all their other deeds." he said summing up their work "Plus people know there are people here i.e. you and their attention are focused on Erza and Wendy, so any ideas on how we should spin this?" he asked as there were too many people and variables to not allow them to have a say.

"The truth may be out of the question." Makarov said as telling people they were from another dimension didn't seem like a smart play.

"We can play off my Van Kleiss." Rex said to them "With him being a world terrorist and a known kidnapper and say we saved you all from a horrible fate." he said as some of them still seemed injured so that played into it.

"Not the worst idea." Six said as the story needed some bits and pieces here and there, but ultimately it was a story they could use.

"What, we say he attacks them and has them for six months?" Kevin asked as he was skeptical about the plan as the time was too vast.

"No, we play off of multiple ends." Ben said to them "Rex and I joined forces to attack Van Kleiss in the Null Void as he was after a way to increase nanite production in order to cause another event, we were trapped there for three months following unforeseen consequences." he said to them.

"I'd buy that story, but you said three months, what about the other three?" Verdona asked him curiously.

"We can say we were on a healing, but were sent on a joint operation between Providence and the Plumbers." Ben said to them.

"Might be our best bet." Rex said as if he had to guess the board members of Providence would probably go along as they rarely liked it when they would have to admit they 'lost' their weapon.

"You still left out them." Holiday said motioning to the Fairy Tail mages.

"Yeah lucky you people have family members here." White Knight said as family records were easier to make and process as more official "Max did the paperwork as far as anyone will know you're from Earth." he said as the Exceeds didn't need papers, Makarov was as old as Max and given the Tennyson family extensions no one would deny a 'long lost' family member and Laxus was still his grandson along with Lucy Heartfillia being his granddaughter, Ur and Ultear were related and he made it so Gray was a no-name orphan in the system till she adopted him keeping Fullbuster, the Strauss siblings were all orphans so that was lucky for him on paper, Gildarts and Cana were father and daughter and she now had his last name, Levy and Juvia were made cousins but still kept their respective last names, and with no other family connections people would buy the Thunder Legion, Gajeel, and Natsu were a bit hard to develop and make new identities.

"There is something we're forgetting." Max said looking at Erza and Wendy "You two have a choice, we can try and keep this secret as long as possible or go public." he said to them.

"Keep what secret?" Erza asked curiously.

"Your connection to Ben." Max said as after what happened to Julie he was going to offer Ben's loved ones as much protection as possible, no Plumber on the planet would deny that Ben would need it as what happened to Julie was not secret information as certain Galvin revealed the footage on the extranet, humans were still unaware of what happened thankfully but most species knew.

"I don't care." Wendy said getting some looks of confusion "We've fought more dangerous threats to be scared of what people think of me." she said not ashamed to be Ben's daughter and wouldn't run and hide.

"Wow." Gwen said to her "Wendy that qualifies as a paternity test as far as I'm concerned." she said to her as Ben would've given the same answer.

"She speaks well for herself." Mira said with a smile loving the rebellious nature of youth "We're a bad influence on her." she said liking to think the strong people Wendy was around was why she became more and more free spirited 'Especially one in particular.' she thought as she had seen Erza spending a bit more time with Wendy, it was nice and she expected Erza was preparing for a certain role in the future.

"This is one bad influence I am proud to be." Erza said happily "And I agree, we shouldn't hide our connection to Ben." she said as she would not run or hide or dampen her bond to Ben by hiding it because of what other people could do.

"We need a reporter and sadly all the ones I know are basic starving vultures." Ben said as he was refusing to hold a press conference and deal with Harangue in public.

"I may know someone, but it might take a while." Rex said as he whispered into Ben's ear.

"If you can pull it off I'm game man." Ben said as Rex left to make a call.

Everyone decided to do their own thing, Gwen was assisting Lucy and Levy to adapt to things like computers both of them were amazed by how much could be done with such a small device, Lucy especially as she learned she could type instead of writing her book by hand, Max had taken Makarov, Laxus, and the Thunder Legion, Kevin was gonna hang with Gajeel and Wendy finding both to be interesting, and everyone else was taking an interest with something else.

"Hey, Ben mind if I ask a favor?" Gray said walking up with Ultear in tow.

"So this is him huh?" Ur asked sitting upward in bed, she had been coming in and out of consciousness ever since her revival/rebirth and until this morning she wasn't fully aware of what had happened, but both her daughter and Gray had slowly told her about what happened and where they were, but a common name mentioned was Ben Tennyson.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ms Milkovich." Ben said to her knowing full well who she was.

"Surprised you are the kid that brought me back." Ur said as hearing this person was the one to bring her back was surprising, but that all went away as she looked into his eyes, she felt greener than his eyes from the experience they seemed to hold.

"And I'm surprised to meet the woman that Gray got his stripping habit from." Ben said to her getting a laugh from Ur and an embarrassed blush from Gray.

"To be fair, I stripped in the freaking woods to learn and teach my magic, whatever this yahoo does in public is all his own doing." Ur said not taking credit for her students' stripping habits.

Ben chuckled as this was fun "So what did you need?" he asked as Gray wasn't forthcoming in answers about why he was here.

"Ur is low on magic, gramps told us all that we all need to preserve our magic except the ones who went to Edolas." Gray said as Ur being in a state of low power was not ideal.

"You were better off calling Wendy and my grandmother." Ben said still not good at healing and both women were "We can see if mana can restore your ethernano reserves." he said to them making a call.

"Oh good from human to ice to water and nowa to a guinea pig." Ur said half joking half serious as this was not how she saw her life going.

They talked mostly to and about Ur as she had much catching up to do with her kids and what was going on.

Wendy soon arrived with Verdona and Rex in tow.

"So this is the leading matriarch ice mage stripper." Verdona said surprised everyone by how bold she was.

Ur rose an eyebrow having been called much much worse over the years.

"Is she always this eccentric?" Ultear asked Ben curiously.

"Oh, you have no idea." Ben and Verdona said together getting odd looks.

Ur watched in amusement and was soon surprised when the woman turned to pure purple energy and her skin fell to the floor.

"She does that a lot." Rex said knowing from experience Verdona was doing this to show off.

Wendy nodded and watched as Verdona tried healing her.

"My mana is doing something but it's slow." Verdona said looking to Wendy "You can actually use the same energy as her, you may be the best option kiddo." she said as her mana was healing her, but mana was a pure energy and hard to become a lesser form of energy.

Wendy stepped forward and began charging the ice wizard with her power.

"Whoa that feels tingly." Ur said as she felt a rush when Wendy began healing her.

"Hey since Wendy has mana and ethernano in her does that turbo charge her existing magical power?" Rex asked curiously.

"Certainly possible since ethernano is basically the pure form of all magic power and mana is pure life force energy." Ben said to him as he was unsure given he has mixed energies a few times in the past.

"Why didn't Verdona's power work then?" Rex asked him curiously.

"Mana may be too pure for their bodies to handle, Wendy ate it and adapted that power to her body." Ben said as Charmcaster and Hex were from a dimension where mana was in the very air much like how ethernano was in the air of Fiore "Why are you here?" he asked as he called Rex to get Wendy and his grandmother.

"Yeah, that person I said I'd call, she's on her way and she's coming here by helicopter wanted to let you know so no one is shot down." Rex said to him as he felt that should be said as after the helicopter chase.

"I thought you were kidding about this woman." Ben said pulling out his plumber badge and deactivated the air turrets.

"Dude this woman is bold, shameless, and a hardass." Rex said as they went to the roof.

They didn't need to wait long as a helicopter soon landed and a brunette woman in a plum-colored purple woman's business suit came out of it.

"You said she was honest right?" Ben asked him as the woman had eyes like a predator starving for something.

"Completely, but she likes to keep it on task and sometimes throws her own spin on what catches her interest." Rex said mentally reminding himself to show him what she did with Six.

"Ben Tennyson, Diane Farrah pleasure." Diane said as they shook hands "Thank you for allowing us to do a live segmeant of Ultimate Exposure here." she said as they went inside.

Erza sharpened her blade as Natsu and Gajeel were tied up at her feet.

"Um, why did they need to be tied up?" Lucy asked as they were all watching the live stream of Ultimate Exposure.

"I think a lack of explosions is the most pressing concern and that we shouldn't blow our cover." Makarov said not wanting to make things harder for Ben.

"Can I get you anything before we start?" Ben asked, trying to seem like a good host as he already knew they started as the camera was on upon her landing.

"Nothing for me thank you, Mr Tennyson." Diane said to him as she kept her confident smile.

'Gotta hand it to Rex this woman is good.' Ben thought as he saw it just from the look in her eyes, this woman was not just some ditzy reporter, she was analyzing them and gauging their reactions and so on.

"My assistant should be here any moment." Diane said to him simply.

"You have an assistant?" Rex asked incredulously unable to believe she had help as, besides the cameraman, he'd never seen her have any additional help on the news.

"I know a successful newswoman, but the studio thought it was a good fit since we're not doing EVO stories as of late given the world is cured." Diane said to him.

"Yeah sorry about that." Rex said nervously as he was the reason her show had fewer views now.

Diane waved him off "Rex it's fine, if you didn't cure the world more people would be hurting, you did the right thing." she said to him honestly.

"So who is this assistant of yours?" Ben asked hearing his elevator ring and guessed the woman from the sound of clicking heels "Jennifer." he said in surprise seeing the movie actress Jennifer Nocturne.

"Yes, my producers loved how she handled herself in your earlier rivalry with Captain Nemesis at that sporting event for charity." Diane said to him "Given her acting career, she's a repeat guest host on my show." she said to him.

"It's good to see you Ben." Jennifer said sending him a flirty wink at him.

"Who is she!?" Erza demanded seeing that wink she sent Ben and was being held down by Laxus and Makarov.

'What does Ben feed her!?' Makarov thought as she was too strong in his opinion.

Mira was watching carefully as not even Bickslow seemed to notice, but there was something in the woman's eyes and Mira was unsure of it.

Rex leaned over to Ben "How do you know her?" he asked, wondering how Ben knew this woman.

"Oh after my repeat kidnapping with Captain Nemesis, Ben visited me in the hospital." Jennifer said hearing Rex perfectly.

"Oh, I didn't know about this?" Diane asked/digged wanting more info.

"I dropped by the hospital daily to see her condition." Ben said honestly as he had regular checkups given his arm was shot by said actress, but Jennifer's condition was hidden by all parties who knew of it even him and Gwen, so he made sure to keep an eye on her.

"Ben was more than that, you can say he's my life coach, Ben was always a phone call away being a good lister." Jennifer said as it was all true as whenever she called Ben he answered and even told her when he was leaving the Earth and would've been out of cell range, he even gave her a follow up number to his grandfather if she was in trouble or needed to talk to someone he never cared about her celebrity status and that was a relief.

"Well, the audience is sure to love that Ben, I mean being the knight in shining armor to America's sweetheart." Diane said as it was true as people loved acts like that "So Ben let's start off with something simple." she said to him as she brought out a hard copy photo.

'Oh, this is gonna end badly.' Rex thought as it was a picture of Wendy taken from the helicopter chase and this one was in much better quality than the one Harangue used on the news this morning.

"So who is she Ben, have you taken on a apprentice, I mean she dresses like you and she's always with you?" Jennifer asked curious as to whom this girl was.

"She's my daughter." Ben said to them seeing their shock.

Wendy blushed brightly as all eyes were on her.

"Shit, you are trending and you don't have social media." Kevin said to Wendy seeing his phone ping as not a full minute and Ben's daughter is as famous as he is.

"May I?" Mira asked curiously as Kevin tossed her his phone, she stood in front of Wendy "Wendy give me your best confident smile." she said as she took a picture seeing it came out perfectly.

"What are you doing?" Gwen asked her wondering what the well-known model of Fiore was doing.

"The only way to fight bad press is with the truth." Mira said as she tossed Kevin his phone back as she was finished with it.

Kevin looked down "Wendy Tennyson, daughter of Ben Tennyson, #Sky Maiden, #New Hero, #Plumber." he said reading it out loud "You've been here a day and you understand social media?" he asked wondering who taught her that.

"I'm a model you learn how to adapt and give the fans what they want." Mira said as when Gwen was showing Lucy and Levy how to use a computer, she learned how to work a phone having seen Gajeel use it to learn guitar sheet music Ben had in it, but it took her moments to understand social media, and what people seemed to flock to.

"Y-You have a child?" Diane asked as this was shocking, something she didn't expect, or see coming.

"Yeah, I adopted her." Ben said to her, keeping it simple, but he was smiling all the same.

"Was a total shock, but Ben took this girl in and has loved her wholeheartedly." Rex said backing up his friend.

"Ok well let's start with why you were both gone?" Diane asked needing to collect herself and thought focusing on the main reason fans were tuning in.

"My old enemy was making a comeback, Van Kleiss." Rex said distastefully "He was planning another nanite event." he said as Diane seemed surprised by the reveal "Ben and I stopped it, we were able to withstand the blast, but Van Kleiss we're not so sure about, he could've been vaporized by his own device." he said feeling it was best to not mention if Van Kleiss was alive or dead.

"And you have both been healing this entire time?" Diane asked curiously as both men had been seen doing the impossible to hear they were harmed was a shock and to even think they needed such a large amount of time to heal was surprising.

'That's the bait.' Ben thought as she was trying to make them reveal if they were lying as he revealed Wendy meaning more happened "Rex and I were out of commission for around two months, Rex battled Van Kleiss and I withheld the nanites from breaking free, in that time I have been resting, Kevin, Gwen, and many of our friends have been protecting the Earth in my absence." he said strongly.

"Why is he naming us?" Gwen asked curious as to what Ben was doing.

"You and me have been hounded at already more people are gonna do it, might as well be for something better." Kevin said as his phone vibrated and he saw he got a text from his mom.

'I'm proud of you, ALWAYS, love mom.' the message read followed by a few hearts.

"You really stepped up in Ben's absence Kevin, I'm proud of you, you'll make a good leader someday." Max said to him as Kevin stood up.

Kevin chuckled as he still couldn't believe what Max trusted him with while Ben was gone, he admitted Ben made it look so easy and while they made decisions together, he didn't envy Ben when the real hard situations came, that was what he respected about Ben the most.

"After we healed I went off planet and Rex came along to as a joint opperation in Providence working alongside the Plumbers." Ben said as this was going to make the story more believable.

"Two months healing and back in the sadle to space, what did you do those four months how did you meet Wendy?" Diane asked him "If you were in space how did you meet Wendy?" she asked feeling she got him cornered.

"Wendy is a girl with powers, I knew her like I know a lot of people before going into space, I helped trained her and she even helped me on a case before." Ben said both lying and telling the truth as he was using information no one could possibly confirm as while many of his adventures were public a lot of them lacked details or what was actually occuring due to people not seeing or following certain things.

"Still even a child with powers letting her fight at that age seems a tad irresponsible." Diane said as while it was common knowledge Ben started at ten, it seemed bad of him to let a child do the same.

"She was doing her own thing all on her own, I just helped prepare her and train her to do better." Ben said as this was pure truth "When I saw this sweet little girl, I honestly saw myself, she was kind, rash, impulsive, it was like seeing myself." he said his tone suggesting it was neither good nor bad.

"You make it sound like you didn't want that?" Diane asked seeing his tone shift.

"I won't lie, as a kid I didn't always make the best of choices." Ben said as that was full admittance as remembering when he met his younger self due to time traveling was an instance that he'd never forget as he saw how much of a pain he was and how much things got more and more serious as he'd get older "I had people in my life that helped me be better as a hero and a man." he said as he didn't name anyone as it wasn't just one person.

"That was nicely said Ben kudos, what about you Rex, you've worked with Ben before, do you think he's ready to be a father?" Diane asked Rex needing to bring attention back to him.

"Diane I have seen him with Wendy as a former orphan myself I can safely say she couldn't have done better than him." Rex said as he saw Ben with Wendy and it was a beautiful sight all the same as he showed her nothing but love and support.

"Any other secrets you'd like to reveal to the public?" Diane asked as both of them were much more honest and rambunctious than her usual interviews.

"I already threatened my enemies you?" Ben asked as he already made a statement during his helicopter race.

Rex took a moment "I got nothing." he said to Diane nonchalantly.

"Never change you two, well here you have it people Ultimate Exposure has gotten the truth straight from Ben Tennyson and Rex Salazar." Diane said as she was sure sound effects were being played for the audience "But now that we're done with you, I'm sure the public is eager to hear from it's newest hero." she said to them.

Gajeel even while tied up looked at Wendy and while more confident she still had the general nervousness that came with her age.

"You up for an interview kid?" Gray asked her as it was a pretty big thing.

"Should she even do it?" Evergreen asked as Wendy was a bit young and being thrown into the spotlight was a bit too much attention for someone of her age.

"How bout it kid, Ben can tell these people off or you can speak for yourself?" Laxus asked as he would respect her opinion either way as like Evergreen she was young, but he wouldn't stop her if she wanted to do it.

"I'll do it." Wendy said as she was nervous as this would be her first interview ever, so she steeled her nerves

"How about you Jennifer, you've been quiet any questions?" Diane asked as she asked a lot and Jennifer was quiet.

"Thanks, Diane, so Ben now that you're back and a hundred percent are you getting back in the saddle as Bellwood's hero?" Jennifer asked him.

"I'm gonna ease into it, it has been a while." Ben said as that was honestly the truth.

"And what are your plans for Wendy home tutoring or you gonna send her off to school?" Jennifer asked him as it made Ben now think of things he now had to do.

'Wasn't expecting this, but I'll role with it.' Ben thought as given the world they were in and from he didn't consider the more detailed parts of having a child on his Earth meant "I was thinking tutor, she's really smart." he said knowing that for a fact as when she wasn't with him or the team she was with Levy and even kept pace with her despite her young age.

"Well does she have any hobbies you care to share?" Jennifer asked him a little more curious about the girl that was Ben's.

"She likes dangerous sports." Rex said as that was a fair assumption given she now had a hoverboard "She's hanging around the right crowd." he said holding his hands in the handlebar positions as he was known for his dangerous stunts having been on a few magazines for his thrill-seeking nature.

"Yet I look better doing it than you." Wendy said, making her presence known as she entered.

Ben became nervous as he knew Wendy could handle herself, but who she came with might make things complicated "Hey Erza." he said as he thought he told the master to keep his team from coming, but as annoyed as this would be, he couldn't help but admire Erza's beauty as she was wearing a red satin dress hugging her curves perfectly showing off her beautiful form.

'Well I tried.' Makarov thought as he was embedded in the wall small daggers stabbed into the edge of his clothes keeping him in place, the knives skillfully stabbed in order not to hit skin, this was the sheer talent he had come to expect from Erza.

Everyone else was watching Wendy and Erza entered and they all knew this would get messy or bloody or something even more chaotic.

"The girl of the hour, you better be careful Jennifer, she might replace you as America's sweetheart." Diane said taking not of the red head with the blunette.

"Aw, she's adorable Diane." Jennifer said looking at Wendyand seeing her blush, she looked at Erza and was curious about who this was.

Both women stared off as if judging the other and trying to break the other down.

"And you are?" Jennifer asked her in a more serious tone.

"Erza Scarlet, Ben's girlfriend." Erza said as they didn't take their eyes off each other.

Jennifer's eyes hardened as she stared at the scarlet knight.

"A new girlfriend and a daughter, my my Mr Tennyson, you certainly keep interesting company, how about we change, Ms Scarlet, that is your name yes, what's it like dating the world's most powerful and desired man?" Diane asked Erza curiously.

"Most desired man, what am I chop liver?" Rex asked wondering where he ranked in that.

"You're third Rex." Diane said to him.

"I swear to everything sacred if I am behind Six I will lose all faith in the media." Rex said as he took out his phone and groaned.

"Sorry pal." Ben said as it must've sucked being behind one's mentor like that.

"Does saving the world from a nanite epidamic mean nothing to people?" Rex asked as he thought he was at least entitled to second place for that.

"He's been a perfect gentleman." Erza said sending Diane a smile.

'And now Erza is trending.' Mira thought as it was mostly people commenting on her beauty and other parts of her 'Wow and pervs in the span of minutes.' she thought to herself as she had to give Ben's Earth credit for it accessibility with technology.

"So Erza, do you mind if I call you that, have you done any modeling or perhaps something more along the lines of what Jennifer does?" Diane asked wondering what this woman did to get Ben's attention as many women around the world were probably crying out to her to ask these questions.

"I do my own form of what Ben does, but I'm more subtle." Erza said knowing to keep things more low key as possible as she knew the likely hood that her magical powers would be revealed were exceptionally high.

"Oh a woman hero about time if you ask me." Diane said to her "Gwen Tennyson, Rebecca Holiday, and a few others linked to these two are a symbol that there are not just male heroes in this world." she said as she did an expose and was careful not to mention certain names near them.

Erza nodded as she knew things from both Ben and Rex, but she looked up and read articles of many of the heroes here in the world and it made her own achievements in Fiore seem small in comparison.

"So Erza, what is it that you can do?" Jennifer asked her in a somewhat hostile tone "I mean Ben certainly brings the flash when being a hero." she said with a smile, but held a confidence in hearself talking to Erza.

Erza smiled focusing on her Alpha-Omega nanite and built a sword before her, none realized she was an EVO "I am able to summon weapons and armor, not as flashy as Ben yes, but I have a bit more skill." she said winking Ben's way.

It was an obvious wink, so obvious everyone knew what it was, her declaration that Ben was hers.

The review proceeded everyone answering with more than simple information from that point on.

Rex complained in the end as when Diane gave him his moment, she asked him about his love life or if he had any major developments similar to Ben having a daughter.

"You're a lot better than Harangue." Ben said to her.

Diane laughed "Ben, I report the news and the truth, Harangue reports the news and his own twisted version of the truth and the people who follow it buy it, he gives people like me a bad name." she said as she had no love or respect for Harangue.

"If I wasn't dating my girlfriend I would've kissed you for that." Ben said to her as that was the most awesome thing he had ever heard.

Diane gave him a wink and then stopped as she saw Erza glaring at her "Well you and Rex have my number if you want to be interviewed by a real reporter." she said as she went to the roof dragging a reluctant Jennifer along with her to the helicopter.

"Dude your social media is on fire." Kevin said as they were all about Wendy and Erza.

Ben checked his phone and saw all sorts of comments.

"I'll save you some time, after the interview people all over are drooling for your girlfriend and your daughter may actually be a national treasure." Gwen said to him as people found Erza to be actress and model-level beautiful and there had been more than one mention at certain parts of her body.

Ben scowled at the news now knowing all eyes would be on them even more so in public.

Rex got a message on his phone "Well my base and my crew are here and settled." he said as White Knight told him everything was up to code.

"Has anyone seen Carla?" Wendy asked not getting nods from anyone.

"Speaking of the cats where's Lily?" Gajeel asked looking for his friend.

"Happy!?" Natsu said loudly calling out.

They were all brought out of their thoughts when they heard screaming when they went in the direction of the screaming they saw the Exceeds running from Ship as he chased them.

"Wendy get this mongrel away from us!" Carla said calling out to her Dragon Slayer.

"Did they forget they all have wings?" Ben asked as Ship was smart enough to not transform inside and the Exceeds all had wings.

"Probably." Lisanna said as she had seen Happy have to look at his own fur sometimes to remember what color he was when he first hatched.

"Hey, Rex before you go mind if I ask you a favor?" Ben asked Rex getting a nod.

"You know this is not what I expected when you wanted a favor." Rex said as they were in Ben's car driving past miles of woods.

"I don't really have much of a choice, plus if I was going alone someone would've said something and you can keep your trap shut." Ben said as this was one of his lesser great ideas.

Rex had to admit he understood Ben's reasoning and he'd be pulling the same move in his position.

"We're here." Ben said as he parked outside a manor, he walked to the door and tapped it with his finger, the whole house becoming pink.

"I swear I really need to figure out this magic stuff." Rex said as he had seen some things that were beyond weird and could be defined as magic "I've met a chupacabra and this still baffles me." he said as it was hard to believe that magic existed on their now-shared Earth.

"You'll get it eventually pal." Ben said as it took him some time after his first meeting with Hex, he broke the barrier and both of them walked inside.

They walked around looking for a sign of any kind.

"You both are not going to find anything." Paradox said appearing before them "Hex has not been here for quite a while." he said getting their attention.

"What where could he be then?" Rex asked curious too where he could be.

"Earthland." Paradox said activating his pocket watch and soon they were in Hex's kitchen and began to explain to them what precisely happened.

"You sent me back in time?" Ben asked him in surprise "Wait back up, how'd Hex recognize me then, if I was sent back in time I would've been twelve to thirteen?" he asked as he was sure Hex was smart enough to spot the age difference.

"That is more of a different problem from long ago, do you remember that Legerdomain has time properties of its own?" Paradox asked Ben getting a nod "Well that played a factor into the wormhole Addwaitya left upon being banished, you remember Hex was traveling to there from Legerdomain when he went to Edolas correct?" he asked as both understood now.

"Ok space and time are not my best areas of science, but if one of them is in flux won't that have shifts of its own, whenever two separate places have different times?" Rex asked Paradox.

"In a way my good fellow, you see the spell Hex uses works through a hole in the fabric of reality Addwaitya made upon being banished from Earthland, Hex took it farther going to Edolas and messing with the Anima spell breaking even more barriers, in truth he has been gone for years from here." Paradox said to them.

"So what is the timeline like now for Earth and Earthland?" Ben couldn't help but ask.

"Oh more stable now thankfully and I'd be careful Ben, you shouldn't use Hex's spell for travel, he may have perfected it, but it still messes with time, space, and reality it will cause its own paradoxes that may or may not resolve themselves." Paradox said placing books upon the table "These are the books you were going to want to research and I have loaded one of the vacant floors in your tower with all of Hex's books." he said as he disappeared.

"Did we just commit a B&E?" Rex asked not feeling guilty as the man they did it to was a mass murderer.

"Quite possibly." Ben said, looking at the books in question.

"What's up?" Rex asked curiously.

"Paradox is more involved, I feel there is something up with this timeline." Ben said as Paradox involved himself in worst-case scenarios.

"Maybe he has to, I mean Hex has apparently been messing with time right?" Rex said as messing with something like that regularly.

"And he doesn't even know it." Ben said as that made it worse "We should be synced all things considered." he said as the time zones should all be lined up now between Earth and Earthland.

"Yeah, but our time is synced their time is not." Rex said referring to everyone else from Fairy Tail.

"I'll tell the master and the other S-class mages, but it's better to keep this secret for now." Ben said as there was nothing they could do and while Gwen was given a break, he was going to go to her or Azmuth after a few days to see if there was a possible way to safely go back and forth between the worlds without using Hex's method to further screw with time.

Rex had to agree as if everyone knew it'd be a huge downer to know much time had passed, so they were gonna keep a lid on it "You have all of Hex's books so we at least have some references to work off of." he said to him.

"Yeah, but c'mon let's look around." Ben said as they began searching what was left of the manor.

"What else could be here?" Rex asked as if Hex was gone, Paradox stole all his magic books, what else was there.

"Hopefully, a trace." Ben said as he opened a door to a room filled with similar colors of pink and purple.

"This is a girl's room, Hex has a kid?" Rex asked in surprise.

"Yeah, I mean no, I mean he has a niece and he has been raising her for six years until she went rogue." Ben said as Charmcaster's room was filled to the brim with dust meaning she has been gone as long if not longer than Hex.

"So why are we here, panty raid?" Rex asked jokingly.

"If Erza ever heard that we'd be dead." Ben said running with the joke "I have something to give her, but I am in no big hurry to see her." he said as her killing him was not a very good motivator to go see her 'But I still have this book.' he thought as Spellbinder's book was still with him and now that he was a father and had his own daughter he felt like a dick not giving it to Charmcaster as soon as possible.

"Oh this is so exciting!" Lisanna said as she, Mira, Elfman, Happy, Ben, and Erza, were all outside a very popular zoo about to go in, she was very excited to see more diversity with animals "Thanks for taking us here Ben!" she said happily.

Ben chuckled as he thought it'd be nice to take his friends out, Erza wanted to come with him as a date and the Strauss family was here for their appreciation of animals, he paid for the entry and they began walking.

"Gotta admit a lot of animals here." Mira said as there were many wild animals "Most animal Take Over users have to find their animals in the wild." she said as animals flocked to Lisanna while Elfman challenged them in a competition of masculinity.

"Well you can't get close to the more predatory animals, they let the smaller animals get to come close to the visitors." Ben said to her.

The group enjoyed a nice walk seeing many animals, they saw many animals Lisanna gushing of all the various sights and habitats they could interact with.

They decided to stop and eat lunch, Happy was in line with Ben for some food as they stood Happy felt something shove him and when he turned around he was face to face with a colorful bird.

The bird look at Happy seeing something similar to him it thought of him as a baby predator, it attacked pecking him.

"Ow!" Happy said in annoyance swiping his paw across its face and seeing it do nothing but annoy the bird.

The bird had its tail spread wide and began pecking at him.

Ben looked down seeing Happy fight his long-time nemesis "You." he said glaring at the bird.

Happy tackled the bird and there were many calls as both animals went at each other, Happy soon gained the upper hand and seemed to be winning and began chasing after the bird.

"What the hell was that?" Elfman asked thinking it was manly Happy was in a brawl.

"A peacock." Ben said as Erza looked at him.

"That's the bird you are so afraid of?" Erza asked as it looked like a giant pretty chicken.

"Hey I was five ok, I came here as a kid and they jumped me." Ben said smiling as Happy kicking the bird's ass made his day.

They were all soon brought out of their thoughts as they heard Happy screaming running from a flock of peacocks chasing him.

"Wow deja vu." Ben said as this was more or less what happened to him "Wait a second, Happy they're after your fish!" he said guessing the birds were hungry for the stash of food in his nap sack.

Mira was going to give Happy a hand but Lisanna beat her to it, Lisanna was sending out a dangerous aura causing the birds to shake and their feathers to rise up in terror 'At least she's growing as a woman.' she thought proudly.

"I gotta admit, this tastes pretty freaking awesome." Gajeel said as he was eating scraps Kevin had lying around as he was curious as to what alien metal tasted like and it was amazing.

"So is this." Laxus said as he was draining excess power from an old battery.

Kevin laughed as he was doing body work on his car and saw Laxus lying around and thought he could have used an extra hand, plus he was interested in seeing the Dragon Slayers powers as it was interesting to him especially these two in particular have similar powers to his own as when he was a kid he used to feed on a lot of energy and he liked absorbing metal as a personal preference.

Gajeel and Laxus were learning much about mechanics as they had to admit Kevin had some great style with his car and both secretly wanted their own.

"Hey is she alright?" Kevin asked in a whisper seeing Wendy was glued to her phone and had an annoyed look on her face.

"You can ask me yourself Kevin, I'm not deaf." Wendy said to him.

"Dragon Slayers man, we have good senses." Laxus said to him as it was hard for them to miss things.

"Ok little Tennyson, why the scowl you have had it ever since your dad left?" Kevin asked her wondering why she was upset.

"It's just this guy is talking so much crap." Wendy said walking over and showing him a Will Harangue video.

"Wendy language!" Carla said to her as while she didn't want to be here feeling this was a masculine thing where a young lady shouldn't be present.

Wendy rolled her eyes "This guy talks so much garbage about my dad." she said a bit bitterly.

"Oh my god, you are adorable." Kevin said jokingly as she glared at him "Still adorable kid, listen I have been trying to get back at Harangue for years but he's a top dog kinda guy, he keeps his business under the table." he said as he was also sick of that guy and knew after Ben's 'video game' he had some illegal schemes he worked through other people.

"Did you check this building?" Wendy asked him getting odd looks.

"This building?" Laxus asked wondering what she meant and she pulled up some pictures and videos.

"Harangue and some moron called Captain Nemesis were old associates, Harangue did a lot of interviews with him and was invited here a lot." Wendy said showing them the public videos.

"I have some of the building's old hard drives." Kevin said as he went to a corner in the back and pulled out some gear "These things go back months before he went to jail, but it'll take time to crack them." he said as he saw Wendy smile and soon whistled out.

"Wendy, do not summon that fiend!" Carla said her wings spreading as she went upward as a loud barking sound was heard.

"Ship!" Ship said jumping around Wendy.

"There's my good boy, you see that over there, you think you can find something about this guy for me, he wants to hurt dad." Wendy said as Ship growled at Will Harangue's picture.

Ship barked and jumped into the machine and began retrieving data and a cord shot from him connecting to a nearby computer.

"We're offering you exclusive footage and an exclusive interview of Captain Nemesis fighting Computron from dimension twelve." a scientist said to Will Harangue.

"Perfect Ben Ten will be a thing of the past and the real heroes will be back on top." Will Harangue said happily from inside his limo.

"Are these idiots seriously in the parking lot of this building?" Kevin asked as this was a crappy secret meeting.

"Mind explaining?" Gajeel asked wondering if Kevin could fill in the gaps of some of the names mentioned.

"Computron comes from a dimension where robots kill all organic life, they invaded this dimension many years ago, guess Captain Nemesis had a way to piss them off to come back here." Kevin said thinking he needed to take a look at more of the material he had down here 'Gwen could barely track these guys and Captain Nemesis could force them to come here?' he thought knowing Gwen was a genius and he knew his alien tech for someone to get one over on them was insane.

"This is good, but it's still a single piece of evidence." Laxus said knowing the rich and powerful people get off without a compelling amount of info on them.

"I can dig some stuff up possibly." Kevin said patting Wendy's head "Thanks kid, we're gonna bury this guy." he said fully meaning that as Wendy gave them an inch with this piece of footage and he was going to turn it into a mile.

"So what are you doing Lulu?" Levy asked as she and Lucy were amazed by the technology and were very attached to the laptops Ben gave her and Lucy.

"Well, I'm looking through the internet and can't help but see it's more like achieve magic, but more advanced." Lucy said as she wondered what Hibiki would think if he ever saw this "I'm also using the plumber badge we were given to look up things on the extranet." she said as Max gave them plumber badges as Ben deputized all of them so they'd receive less hassle and while Ben's world was mind-blowing, she was more curious about how aliens lived and the differences between culture.

The two kept looking into certain topics live news, history, major events, and even Ben and Rex's seeing many articles about them.

The two went on and later became extremely embarrassed as they found what made up a good percent of the internet.

"What in the name of all things unholy are you drinking?" Mira asked as she thought she was hearing things when she heard Ben had ordered a steak smoothie, but catching the scent of meat, she was wondering if it was true.

"What I missed this stuff." Ben said as he loved the smoothie machines he made in Earthland, he loved the ones from Mr Smoothie even more.

Mira looked to Erza seeing she was drinking the same smoothie as Ben, but her's had strawberries in it 'Match made in heaven.' she thought in both amusement and disgust, she looked away from the two sucking down smoothies as one would be if they were dying of thirst to her sister "Have fun at the zoo?" she asked as it was nice to see the various animals and species Ben's world had.

"Yeah, sucks we couldn't go to the reptile exhibits." Lisanna said as Elfman had been looking forward to that the most as most reptiles were vicious.

Mira agreed, but she was more curious about why the exhibit was closed, there had been a break in the day before as someone had stolen a poison dart frog and a newborn anaconda, she learned about both in a pamphlet the frog had poisonous skin and the anaconda was a deadly physical snake when fully grown able to eat an entire person upon adulthood 'A poison frog I get, but why a baby snake?' she thought as that seemed like a less desirable than an older snake.

Wendy felt on edge for some reason as she had left the garage moments ago deciding to look for Ship and Carla, but was now walking away from everyone, she felt something was stalking her like she was prey, but her senses weren't picking up on anything, yet she still had this feeling she couldn't shake 'I can't see anything, I can't smell anything, I can't hear anything.' she thought using those primary senses.

Wendy ventured to an empty floor using herself as bait to find the thing that was setting her instincts off.

'Let's see if I can sense it.' Wendy thought to herself as her eyes glowed pink as Ben and Verdona had been teaching her mana sense 'The hell?' she thought as she was picking up bloodlust and hunger, but it felt both human and animalistic 'Remember what dad said.' she thought with a grin.

"If your ever in a situation where you're afraid, channel that fear into something positive that'll annoy your enemy, it can throw them off balance and could possibly give you the upper hand over them."

"I know you're there ugly." Wendy said cockily "What's the matter only brave enough to try and take on a little girl when she's all by herself?" she asked tauntingly and then she heard it, the sound of hissing.

"So the rumorsss were true, Tennyssson had a hatchling." a male raspy voice said from the vents soon bursting through and revealing to be a large man snake creature, with weird mouth hands.

'So that's why I couldn't smell it.' Wendy thought as snakes were odorless creatures, they were perfect for stealth "So what are you here for, a crack at my dad, or are you here to pick on someone your level?" she asked tauntingly.

"You have your father's tongue brat, I'll enjoy feasting on it!" the snake said charging at her preparing to bite her only for his teeth to meet a mana shield, he growled and fired venom from his hands the substance landing on Wendy.

"Seriously?" Wendy asked sucking it in 'Huh alien venom.' she thought as it tasted foreign to her on many levels and for many reasons.

"What are you?" the man snake asked her in surprise "What is your mother?" he asked now wondering what Ben Tennyson had slept as he saw the child eat his venom.

"My mother is a dragon." Wendy said proudly now seeing the fear in the snake's eyes "Oh what's the matter afraid of not being at the top of the food chain, you should've thought about that before picking a fight with me!" she said focusing her sky and poison together "Miasma Dragon Wing Attack!" she yelled striking the snake man into a wall.

"Nice job kiddo." Max said as he had a group of Plumbers come and detain Ssserpent "You know your dad had a hard time with this guy recently." he said as it was the truth as Ssserpent was an easy grab alien way back when, but he stepped up his game and got smarted became more deadly in his tactics.

"Thanks, Grandpa Max." Wendy said sending the large snake a confident look seeing the nervousness in his eyes "Thanks for coming when I called." she said as she didn't want to ruin her dad's date with Erza and she was sure a lot of people would call him over.

"No problem, hey I gotta go talk to your aunt Gwen." Max said heading over to Gwen as she was making sure Ssserpent was sent to a proper cell.

Gwen was glaring at the snake man for having the guts to attack a child her family 'Really need to send these people a reminder.' she thought thinking she needed to give someone a message like she gave Zombozo years ago.

"Any ideas on why he's like this?" Max asked Gwen as the Ssserpent they just arrested was much larger than the one they were used to "His species doesn't get this big." he said as Ssserpent gained a good fifteen feet with his tail.

"I couldn't sense anything with his mana, but look at this." Gwen said as she had a DNA test taken "This is Ssserpent, but his DNA has been altered with anaconda DNA." she said as it explained a few things but added more questions.

"Alien DNA splicing, not many people can pull that off." Max said as it was a rare type of science "How perfect is it?" he asked as there were ways to determine who or how a person could be altered.

"Less than fifty percent and it was all butchered." Gwen said as she saw the signs on Ssserpent's scales, whoever did this wasn't gentle, his scales looked roughed and he seemed to have cracks in some of them.

Max sighed as this limited ways they could search "Wendy's alright." he said not needing to know Gwen was concerned for the girl that was basically her niece.

"She shouldn't have faced that monster alone." Gwen said as Wendy told them the truth about facing Ssserpent and knowing he was here "Grandpa this is like Ben when he was a kid all over again." she said as Ben was practically insane when he thought he could do everything all on his own.

"You know I can hear you right!" Wendy said from a good distance away.

"And she's as outspoken." Max said as he had mixed feelings as both a Plumber and a family member, he dealt with the same dilemmas when Ben first started, but there was a difference, Ben trusted Wendy could handle the threats that came her way and knew she knew her limitations "I called Ben after Wendy called me, he's glad that she's alright and isn't worried." he said as he was surprised by that as he thought Ben would've rushed over here, but Ben seemed calm the moment he heard Wendy handled it.

"She's gonna give me grey hairs." Gwen said as she knew if this girl was anything like her father it was a fact.

"Ben told us these people live in a world where their lives are akin to mercenary work Gwen, that girl has Ben's trust and respect, I think we should respect him enough to put faith in that trust." Max said to her.

Gwen bit back a remark as being an adult now she didn't feel comfortable with children in the line of fire, she looked at Wendy and was surprised by what she saw, the look in that little girl's eyes reminded her so much of Ben, the stubbornness, the pure instinct to fight back, and the determination, it was like looking at a ghost.

"Can I ask why we're coming to a closed zoo?" Kevin asked Ben as it was closed and Erza and Mira's family were waiting in the car.

"Ssserpent attacked my daughter with new altered DNA, I learned that the same DNA in his veins was stolen from here recently." Ben said to him as the zoo manager was allowing them full access to the zoo's security cameras.

"I thought you'd run to your little girl when Ssserpent attacked your tower." Kevin said to him a little impressed.

"Kevin, that little girl has faced things that would've made us run and hide when we were her age. The things she has faced were dangerous and even when she was afraid she fought back." Ben said as it wasn't because he wasn't worried, it was because when he knew Wendy handled it he knew he didn't have to.

Kevin rarely saw Ben give praise to a person that wasn't warranted, if he said Wendy earned that much respect he fully believed in Ben's judge of character.

The two examined some footage of the previous day and night and saw it was Ssserpent that stole the animals.

"Guy's smart, but not DNA blending science smart." Kevin said as Ssserpent had to have a partner.

"Question is who was he working for." Ben said checking some records with his Plumber badge.

"What are you looking for?" Kevin asked him curiously.

"Looking through the records for anyone who's capable of genetic altering and people we don't have in custody." Ben said to him simply.

"Think it might be Albedo?" Kevin asked as whenever DNA anything was involved Albedo was a prime suspect.

"If it was alien I'd be likely to agree." Ben said as the chance that Albedo would use Earth species DNA was small, but he had been often stuck here after he usually escapes so he may have been desperate.

"A hundred suspects in the database, this is gonna take a while to run them all down." Kevin said as he hated long jobs like this, he liked playing detective, but not the actual work.

"I swear I gave that useless reptile the DNA to one of the most dangerous types of physical snakes on the planet and he still loses, even worse he lost to Tennyson's meager child!" an elderly man said smashing lab equipment "I need more time to rebuild my DNA Transmodulator, I need to get into Plumber HQ, and when I do I will be able to finally to beat Ben Tennyson, so says Dr. Animo!" he said laughing maniacally.

Wendy lay in her bed staring upwards Ship and Carla sleeping on opposing sides of her, she had been thinking about the fight she had today, she was not bothered by the fight, but more about what it meant now that Ssserpent was put away, a plumber that Ssserpent had attacked in the past was on the team to collect said snake and he thanked her for bringing him in, she looked into Ssserpent's crimes and saw he had done many robberies, poisoning, and murder, she felt an intense wave of relief and it was followed by excitement 'Is this how my dad feels when he saves people?' she thought getting off the bed and went to the laptop she got from her dad, Ben had given Wendy a source that captured his adventures well and given her dislike for Harangue she decided it was best to look at a site made by one 'Jimmy Jones'.

Wendy stared at the screen for hours seeing pictures of her father from times from when he was a kid to later in his career, she looked at the clock in her room and saw she had been there for hours, she went to her bed and couldn't stop thinking between the difference between what her father did and what guilds did 'Is it just helping people or the thrill?' she thought not dumb enough not to realize this as there was joy in helping people, but also a rush when fighting someone 'I wonder if this is how Natsu and Gajeel feel when they fight?' she thought in amusement wondering if she'd end up like them.

Ben smiled as Erza slept smiling at the face paint she still had on her face as she and Lisanna got animal faces, they both got tiger paint and looked adorable, he looked at his digital alarm clock and saw it was a week away from Christmas 'Maybe I can get Makarov to be Grandpa Max's elf.' he thought as the master could pull off the look as he's seen him dressed similarly in the past.

Ben was tired as it was hard to sink back into his old life and it was especially hard to be normal, he had a hoodie on at the zoo and didn't wear his jacket thinking he was least likely to be recognized that way, he got out his Plumber badge and pulled up files.

The files Ben had was more akin to a wanted board, with many high-ranking enemies spanning from his Earth villains going to many enemies he made in space, he looked at Ssserpent's seeing his was marked 'in custody', but the problem was he was the only one currently in custody 'I was gone six months and all of them are gone.' he thought looking at the bottom seeing Vilgax's status as deceased, he went to Zs'Scayr's and changed his as well 'I hope they stay gone this time.' he thought knowing Mira had his soul and Vilgax's corpse was somewhere in deep space, he went to the top of the list and pulled up Albedo's file 'Last seen two months ago.' he thought reading the report about how Albedo tried claiming he was Ben himself and attacked Plumber HQ 'New DNA signature?' he thought seeing a recently added report to that incident 'Azmuth administered a DNA marker substance into Albedo's body.' he thought thinking that was a huge relief on some levels as Albedo's would no longer match his.

"You know, I'm not one to talk, but I think you should be resting." Azmuth said not even Ben jumping in surprise.

"I'm guessing you are here for something?" Ben asked him curiously.

"Yes, I've gone over the footage from my Omnitrix of the last six months you lived in Earthland." Azmuth said to him as it was not hard as being Galvan made it so he could process Ben's time there quickly.

"And you don't seem the type to be interested in anything from over there?" Ben asked in confusion as Azmuth wouldn't visit for that.

"Not necessarily true, I was surprised when I saw an alien was able to change an entire people's way of mana or rather magic." Azmuth said as he noted the illegal activities of an alien changing a people's progression even if no technology was used.

"Nirvana." Ben said as the day was a rollercoaster of emotions, especially for Wendy.

"Yes, when you met the girl that would later be adopted by you." Azmuth said to him as he felt sympathy for the girl for what came next "I have been following your movements and Paradox has informed me of the time anomaly that Addwaitya caused." he said as it now made a degree of sense on why it was so hard to pinpoint Ben as the time he was sent to was when Ben would've been thirteen and with the Omnitrix removed from him and offline, there would've been no feedback loops like with Albedo's ripoff copy of the Omnitrix "I also heard your daughter had a day in your footsteps." he said as he was keeping a much closer eye on Ben as of late.

"Yeah, glad she took Ssserpent down." Ben said with a smile before he sighed "I'm guessing if you've been tracking me, you know I was after Hex." he said to him knowing he'd bring that up.

"Correct." Azmuth said pulling up Hex's file and footage he had from the Omnitrix's earlier prototype.

"Are you here to stop me or convince me not to go after him?" Ben asked him wondering which it was.

"Neither." Azmuth said to him seeing the surprise in his eyes "Ben I have seen the footage, this man is a mass murderer, he sees lives as tools for power, in a way that's worse than some of your enemies, besides he's crossed too many lines as it is." he said as he pulled up Zombozo's file, but saw there was a heavily encrypted part of his file.

"That's Galvan." Ben said spending enough time as Grey Matter to be able to tell the type of file it was.

"And for good reason." Azmuth said as he pulled up pictures of Zombozo both past and current "Let me ask, do you ever what happened to many of your enemies in the time you took off the Omnitrix?" he asked him curiously.

"No, but I usually see the end result, Zombozo fed off laughs and happiness before when I was a kid, now he feeds off fear, what does this have to do with Hex?" Ben asked wondering how Zombozo fit into Hex at all.

"A lot more than you might think." Azmuth said showing Ben a restricted video "Five years ago Herbert J. Zomboni died, he killed himself." he said showing Ben a video of Zombozo melting his front right side with seltzer water acid.

Ben was shocked by this "If Zombozo died, who the hell have I been fighting this entire time?" he asked in complete surprise.

"Herbert J. Zomboni." Azmuth said to him seeing the confusion in Ben's eyes not something he could blame on ignorance for once, he played the rest of the video as Zombozo laid their dying Hex came on screen "Hex was involved somehow, we believe he was pushing Zombozo's own illusions onto himself causing him to feel nothing but fear and terror doing…something to his soul." he said as there were things he would never understand and the meaning of life was still the ever-present mystery even to him.

Ben watched as Hex seemingly absorbed Zombozo's soul seeing a blue sphere in his hands seeing it turn a dark purple similar to Corrodium and saw it go back to the body it once left and rose was the Zombozo he now knew "Are you telling me Hex has been messing with life and death for years?" he asked feeling a bit sick as he remembered when Charmcaster had stolen and tried to sell his soul for her father's.

"Unconfirmed we only know about this due to Zombozo throwing Charmcaster under the bus for what he attempted to do to your family when your identity came out." Azmuth said as he was called in by Max himself and it was why the file was heavily classified, it was locked so only he, Max, and the Magistrata could access it, he personally left Ben out for a number of reasons.

"So is Zombozo alive or dead?" Ben couldn't help but ask.

"Hard to say." Azmuth said as even he was perplexed by this violation of life as Zombozo was rotting or is rotted and restored himself to peak physical condition whenever he got his fix of fear "I've compared his soul and body to those of the Anur Transyl system, the match is close but even they are more alive than him." he said to him as that was all the data he collected from his study of this man.

"Why tell me this?" Ben asked him "I've fought him before, why show me this now?" he asked him needing to know what reason Azmuth had for showing him this.

"It's because I want you to understand the man you are going to up against Ben." Azmuth said as this was serious "Hex corrupted life, and he's still corrupting it with Corrodium in Earthland, I know you've pondered why and you and I still don't know the answer, he's killing people and corrupting life itself both here and there, I am warning you Ben, this enemy is using means you are not familiar with, he could very well use this on you." he said as the Omnitrix would protect Ben this time around as when Ben was asleep when he was recovered, Verdona placed a means of protection on the Omnitrix to prevent soul tampering "He might use those you love against you." he said mostly referring to the living, but if Hex were to somehow raise the dead, he knew where Hex would go first.

Ben was silent, having similar thoughts as Azmuth's "What do you want me to do?" he asked wanting Azmuth's opinion and guidance as he was not sure what to do with Hex.

"You do what you have always done, win." Azmuth said as while he himself was unsure of what to do or what the end result would be, he fully believed in Ben and would support whatever decision he would have 'Even if Hex has to die.' he thought as he felt no remorse to one who violated life, in some ways it was worse than what Ascalon could do, even Verdona who Max had asked to be involved in the case found Zombozo to be an abomination and wanted to put him down and wanted to rip Hex apart.

Ben sighed "Before you go and come whenever you want I have a gift for you." he said as he never knew when he would see Azmuth.

Azmuth was a bit caught off guard by this statement as he had received many titles, trophies, offerings, and other things of the like, but never a gift with no hidden motive.

Ben came back and placed a plaque in front of him with a familiar watch at the center.

Azmuth looked and saw it was his Omnitrix, the first one Ben had, it was placed on a plaque with a golden title at the top and another with a message on the bottom, he checked the Omnitrix and saw it was made out of the original that had blown up, but Ben had done a nice job mending it using parts to make it seem like it wasn't destroyed at all "I thought you threw this away or it sank with Vilgax's ship." he said as that was his honest conclusion of what happened to the first Omnitrix's remains.

"I would never throw it away, it meant too much to me, it was part of me for so long and had done so much, it deserved more respect than that." Ben said as he loved the Omnitrix, it was part of him and to just throw it away felt like a betrayal not only to himself but to everything he's done with it.

"Azmuth's Greatest Invention." Azmuth said reading the title and the message written down below the Omnitrix "The Omnitrix, a tool meant to walk a mile in another's shoes, a device of peace and used for justice, this device has been used to help and save countless lives, Azmuth created this for Max Tennyson and instead, it found its way to Ben Tennyson, a mistake or destiny is still unconfirmed, this device and all that came after it will be used to protect the innocent and protect the universe." he read a bit impressed by Ben's wording as it was honest and pure.

"It's a bit early, but Merry Christmas Azmuth, thank you for being a part of my life and my family." Ben said wholeheartedly.

"Thank you, Ben Tennyson." Azmuth said to him with a smile that held much meaning.

"For what?" Ben asked, seeing the look in his eye.

"Getting me off that planet in the middle of nowhere, saving the universe countless times, and doing what I hoped the Omnitrix could achieve and more." Azmuth said to him placing his foot on the plaque and left.

Azmuth made it to his personal office and hung the plaque in full visibility quite proud and touched by the man who had given it to him, he went to his desk and looked at a picture frame of the only other sentimental thing his office had 'I am envious of you Ben, you moved on.' he thought as he looked at a picture of Zennith and now knew he had some choices he should've realized he had years ago 'Give her up, make one last attempt, or move on.' he thought as seeing Ben move on made him think he should as well, but he also knew he needed closure if he wanted that to happen.

Author's Note-Hi everyone wanted to make some things clear about this chapter, given the date the Tenrou group had disappeared I thought I'd line it up with Ben's timeline, it was December 16th, so I thought hey Christmas is close then why not spend time with family and all that, now I have a reason why I merged Ben and Rex's world, I mean they did it for Secret Saturdays in Omniverse and Rex appeared in the Ben 10 remake so I decided, why not do something similar plus Rex's world has elements I wanted to use like Diane Farra I mean c'mon she seems like a good way to flip off Harangue, now for Wendy I wanted to give Wendy a taste of what it's like to be Ben, I mean in the first Ben 10 show when Gwen had the Charms of Bezel, she acted like Ben did, now I tried to explain the time relationship between Ben's world and Fairy Tail best I could and make as much sense as possible, now I'm sorry that this chapter seemed all over the place, but I thought it needed as much setup as possible and I want to explain I picked Nemesis Tower as it seemed large enough to use to hold everyone from the Fairy Tail world so as you can see my options were limited to Nemesis Tower or Plumber HQ and I decided on somewhere more public and that had opportunity to open more drama, hope this chapter was good and explained things enough, hope to get some more support on P-A-T-R-E-O-N link is on my profile.
