(Ke Hamilton standing near the kids who are by a campfire)

Klara: You're with those Throwaway people.
Ke: Now now, there's no need for alarm-
(Old Lace comes up from behind Ke and bites him on the top of the head, Ke screams)

Gert: Yeah, you're not such a tough revenge obsessed supervillain with a dinosaur biting your head!
Victor: He must be scouting ahead for the other Throwaways. I'll check on ahead.
Molly: I'll go too! You can't face those guys on your lonesome.
Klara: Me three!
Nico: Gert, make Old Lace stop biting his head...
Ke: Oh sweet providence, thank you...
Nico: ...So I can do this! (binds Ke with a spell)

(Victor, Molly and Klara return)
Victor: Well, we searched over a mile in every direction and there's no sign of the other Throwaways...is that my dirty sock in his mouth? (points to Ke bound on the ground gagged)
Gert: Yes, well...you know, we can't risk him using any hypnotism tricks on us, and you three were gone for two hours.
Nico: Maybe we did go just a little overboard with this...
Molly: We should at least see what he has to say. (removes the sock from Ke's mouth)

Ke: Indeed, I came here all on my own. I wish to make a deal with you.
Nico: What kind of deal?
Gert: What can you possibly offer that we want?
Ke: I can bring Chase back to the present!
(all the others stare at Ke, stunned)

Nico: I don't know if we can trust him.
Gert: What choice do we have? Its not like we have a big line of time travelers waiting to help us get Chase back. Is Kang the Conqueror on our speed dial?
Molly: Yeah Nico, I think we can take a chance with Ke. I sense he's being legit.
Victor: Wait a minute...how can you even bring Chase back? (points at Ke) You sure didn't bring any time machine with you.
Ke: I don't, but young Ms. Yorks over there has the remote control to one.

Nico: (looking at Gert) So that's what you were getting when we had to leave the hostel.
Gert: Yes, well I didn't want the FBI to confiscate it. I sent the time machine a few years into the future and took the remote with me. (Gert gets the remote from her jacket) Hold on a second, how did you even know I had this? Do you have any psychic powers I should know about?
Ke: I have in my possession a handy little device that tracks emissions of fourth dimension travel. Release me from these bonds and I'll show you.

(Nico releases the bindings from Ke)
Ke: (gets up and reaches into his inner jacket pocket) You've showed me yours I'll show you mine. (pulls out his tracking device) See, the pinging means its picking up the subtle 4D emissions from your remote control.
Gert: Right then. I'll bring my time machine to the now times. Hopefully its intact.
(the time machine appears)

Gert: So what's the exact terms of our devilish little bargain here? You and I hop into my time machine, bring back Chase...and what is it that you expect in return? There's no way you're just doing this out of the goodness of your black miniscule heart.
Ke: Ho ho, straight to the heart of the matter. I like that, very much like your mother Stacy. You see, years ago, before the Yorks joined up with the Pride, they were time bandits that stole and bartered treasures from various timelines. And the three of us had such splendid adventures together. So imagine my joy when my detector pinged. What I want, young Gertrude, is to borrow the 4D portico after we've extracted Chase from the future.

Victor: Just Gert and Ke alone in the time machine? I don't trust that scenario.
Ke: You don't have to trust that scenario. This thing can add seats. (Ke pushes some buttons on the machine, the front comes out so two more rows of seats show up)
Ke: We had to have space for our loot afterall.
Victor: You've gotta be kidding me.
Nico: How come you didn't figure that out Gert?
Gert: And just how many spells have you mastered without the staff Nico? Yeah, your witch blood is really wasted on you.

Ke: I can calibrate this machine up to track the 4D temporal phase emissions that the other Gert from the future left. It is going to take a while, however.
(A noise comes from the abandoned gas station)
Nico: Molly and Klara must have tipped something over in there. I'll go check up on them.
Victor: I don't care to wait around here too long. I'll go patrol the perimeter again.
(Gert and Ke are left alone by the time machine, Old Lace watching close by)

(Ke working the controls, Gert looking a little bit anxious)
Gert: ...Okay, look I know what you're thinking. I'm a disgrace to my time traveler lineage because I haven't practiced more with this machine. I barely know anything about it, Chase was the one who got it up and running again to save my sorry ass. But this thing potentially holds lots of power, for good or for bad. I'm afraid I'll misuse it. With this machine I could bring an extinct species back to life, but what if it messes up current day nature? I could change the course of history to prevent atrocities from happening, but what if doing that somehow stops one of my friends from being born? Even the wise cannot see all ends.

Gert: And then there's a whole different thing thats been gnawing at me. Ever since I got brought back from the dead, I've felt this...disconnect from everyone else. Like I don't quite belong. Even the past I remember seems off. For some reason I recall us using early 2000's phones and making references to Sadam Hussein when we first ran away from our parents, isn't that crazy? I'm afraid this sense of alienation is going to lead me into becoming more like my parents and I'll travel the time streams stealing stuff for shits and giggles. I've already got Nico sewing custom quasi Victorian era clothing for me.

Ke: Oh don't worry yourself, young Gert. Its actually quite liberating to not be anchored down like all those billions of normies who can't time travel. Even if you go full Time Bandit, you won't have to-
Gert: Why am I opening up myself to you!?
(Old Lace bites Ke on the top of the head, Ke screams)
(Nico, Molly and Klara walk out of the gas station)
Molly: Yeah! Good to see you taking charge of the situation Gert!

(Old Lace lets go of Ke's head)
Nico: So we're all going to zip into the future thats a few years from now and take back Chase, right?
Ke: Yes, yes. The calibration is over half complete now. But I request that we leave that 87th century commissioned beast behind us. I'm quite tired of getting bit in the head.
Gert: Old Lace will absolutely travel with us! When Chase got whisked away his psychic link with her was shattered and it was traumatic fir Old Lace. It took me over a month to reestablish my own link with her. I will not put my dinosaur through that kind of pain again!
Ke: Oh very well, I suppose I don't have any choice at this point. Mumble grumble...

Klara: I can't wait to see what new wonders the future will hold.
Gert: Hey, are you sure you want to come along with us Klara? Your cave girl brian might get overloaded by all the progress in the future.
(Klara playfully jabs Gert in the arm)
Nico: Hey, where's our cyborg buddy at?
Gert: He felt the urge to patrol the area and make sure we're left undisturbed.
(Victor violently lands in the dirt nearby)
Gert: Oh, speak of the devil.

Molly: What happened?
Dark Lord Tim (offscreen) Oh darn it all...
(the Throwaways standing near the gas station)
Dark Lord Tim: (onscreen) ...The Mexbox 360 is still up and running.

Ke: Fam! What are you doing here? I left you a note.
Marikit: Yes, and it just said "going on a trip, be back soon"
Dunia: We were worried about you.
Rebecca: And rightfully so! You've got bitemarks on the top of your head. What kind of person does this to another human being?
Nico: Hey! You're the ones that want to kill us over past slights!
Marikit: Ready for Round 2 little girl? (Marikit glares menacingly at Nico, amulet in hand)

Gert: Wait, simmer down everybody! Let's just talk this out. We need to travel to the future to get Chase back and we need Ke's help...and I'm sorry if my pet dinosaur bit him in the head twice.
Ke: Come on fam, it was me who proposed a deal with them in the first place.
Marikit: You take Ke with you, we'll keep one of yours until Ke returns to us. That's the only condition I'll accept.
(both groups pause silently)

Nico: Okay, look, I'll stay behind with the Throwaways.
Victor: Nico, no! Can we trust them?
Nico: Its the only way we're going to get Chase back. And I believe we can trust the Throwaways on this. They're kind of like a family, they aren't going to do anything that will risk losing Ke.
Dark Lord Tim: I have no need for family! You are all disposable in my eyes!
Norvick: Shut up Tim.

Klara: We'll get back with Chase as soon as we can! (determined looking)
Gert: (worried looking) Nico...don't let yourself become another sacrifice on our endless treck of misery. Try not to die.
Nico: Hey, if I can live through Murderworld, then of course I can survive these clowns.
Automarda: Don't ye downplay us lass!
Marikit: (flustered) We're way worse than Arcade!

Gert: Everyone ready?
Ke: Let's get this show on the 4D road!
(the time machine and everyone in it disappears)

(the time machine goes to the outskirts of Los Angelos ten years into the future)
Ke: Here we are, to the end of the 4D emissions trail. A full decade into the future and back at your home town of Los Angelos.
Gert: Oof, finding future me is going to take longer than I thought.
Molly: I didn't realize this thing traveled through time and space.
Ke: Well of course, all time machines have to traverse space as well. The planet earth moves, the solar system moves, even the Milky Way galaxy-
Victor: Okay, can it professor, we don't need the full lecture.

(Everyone steps out of the time machine except for Ke, who is grinning)
Klara: Hmmph, its not so different from the 2020s. I'm a little disappointed.
Gert: Well what were you expecting? Moving sidewalks and space marines?
Klara: Maybe I was.
Molly: Hey Ke, aren't you coming out of there?
(Ke laughs then vanishes with the time machine)

Gert: Don't overclock yourself robot boy, with this remote I can restrict him from returning to our time. I can also recall the 4D portico at any point I wish.
Victor: Wow, you're a quick study.
Future Nico: (offscreen) Hey you tourists...
Future Nico (onscreen) ...need a guide for the City of Angels?
