So, this takes place after 'Yesterday's Lie'. I thought, "what if Luz got powers from the space between realms, and also a new glyph," but while it enabled her to return to earth it opened a whole new can of worms: Belos' Day of Unity, Luz's friends coming to earth, Amity finding out that Luz has an adorable duplicate.
