Chapter 8
Asking for Help
The guardians all agreed that Jack's Carmel Apple Pancakes were amazing as Tooth reminded everyone to brush their teeth as Jack put a fork full of pancake in her mouth making her pink eyes to close in bliss, "Alright their good," Tooth said taking the plate.
The all ate and talk even when Jack and Bunny help with the dishes. North watched Jack who helped rinse the dishes, that Jack's blue eyes were on alert as if waiting for danger.
"Jack is quit a storyteller," Bunny said making Jack blush slightly.
"I'm not that good," Jack said drying his hands on a towel.
"Jack, I told you, you're good. Katherine might have competition; Bunny looked at North who had a raised eyebrow.
"Katherine is hard to beat. She is Mother Goose," North explained.
"Nobody can beat her," Jack told him with a half-smile.
North chuckled when Grim entered the startling everybody, "You need a bell on you."
Grim looked at North with a glare with her black eyes, "Shut it Cossack," Grim looked and saw Jack who raised an eyebrow at her.
Mary was setting next to Jack reading a book that Bunny gave her, and she stopped when she felt Grim come into the room.
"Grim, please tell me somebody took a care of that hot head," Jack said wanting to call Hannah something else.
"Sorry Jack. You're not that lucky yet," Grim looked at him, "But Ezra."
"My brother," Jack looked at her as Mary stood up next to him, "Where?"
"You'll need help Jack." Grim told him.
"Where?" Jack demanded calmly enough so not to scare his sister.
"Pompeii."
"Italy," Jack sighed, "You got to kidding me."
"Jack she might make Mt. Vesuvius explode. If it erupts without warning, who know how many will be in danger. Over a million people lives will be affected by the eruption and a least six hundred thousand live in the danger zone. It last erupted in1944. That only killed twenty-six people sadly.
"Pompeii was still the worst," Jack thought, "Sandy can you get a hold of Mother Nature?" Tooth entered from the Tooth palace.
"Jack what are you planning," North looked at the younger spirit as Sandy left to get an old friend.
"She might be the only one to calm down the volcano."
"Jack Tooth started, "Do you know that she is Pitch's daughter?"
Jack stopped and looked at the colorful guardian, "I do now."
ROTG
They were at the North Pole when Sandy came back when a woman with long black hair and silver eyes appeared in flash of green light. Jack looked at her surprised and knew she took after her mother and not Pitch. Jack took a deep breath and walked up to her, "You must be Mother Nature," Jack said kindly surprising the woman, "I'm Jack Frost it's an honor to meet you," he gave her a slight bow.
"You're Jack Frost," she walked around him and looked at him, "I heard a lot about you. The tree talks about you and Sanderson say you need to talk to me."
"I might need your help," Jack told the woman who raised an eyebrow.
"I'm listening," she walked over an oak table and sat down.
"A few days later the Grim Reaper came to me and told that my family from when I was human was taken from the heavens. The spirit that was a fire spirit."
"Fire and ice," Mother Nature said as Mary came in, "And who is this?"
"My name is Mary Elizabeth Frost Conway," Mary stood proud.
Mother Nature looked at her back to Jack, "Little sister."
"Yes," they both said making her smile.
"The spirit was brought back from the hell," Jack said setting down came.
"Mary, I need to talk to Mother Nature. Can you go with Bunny?" Jack played with the little girl hair.
"Behave Jackson," Mary left with Bunny.
"What?" Jack asked.
"Nothing. Hell, you said," Mother Nature looked at him, "None of my spirits come from hell," Mother Nature informed him.
Jack took a deep breath, "I know you do not, but somebody did," Jack looked at her, "She has my brother in Pompeii. I worried she make Mt. Vesuvius erupt."
That volcano isn't supposed erupt for another hundred years," Mother Nature stood up, "What's the name of the spirit."
"Hannah Stone," Jack voice went flat which surprise the woman.
"May I ask what caused her to end up in hell and why she focused on your family?"
Jack closed his blue eyes and took a deep breath," she killed a woman named Isabella Maria Brody," Jack wiped a stray tear hoping that Mother Nature didn't see, "Hannah Stone what's me to suffer. She wanted me to give her something and I said no and Killed Isabella for it. Will you please help me?"
"I help on one condition," Mother Nature said as Mary and the other guardians came into the room.
"What?" Jack's blue eyes turned to ice which surprised Mother Nature and the guardians.
"Can you tell me why the trees call you King of the Wild Things?" she smirked as his mouth fell opened and his face turned a light shade of pink.
