Author's Note: Well. Since last I updated, a lot of crap went down. I lost my will! But I did not lose my love and he has been keeping my spirits up for the last two months. I've recently saw him on YT at two recent cons and my heart is a flutter with soo much love for my man (abet a distance love but love none the less) He kept me grounded, keep me light and his voice just soothes the beast within me to calm.
All that crap can keep it's negativities to itself, it will not consume me to the depth of it's endless emptiness. It will fear my light, it will fear my strength and hear me roar. That being said:

Chapter: Domestic Bliss

'Dear New and Valued Client:
We here at the National bank of the west are pleased to welcome you into our institute. As one of the senior partners who contribute with our shared mutual benefactor, who will not be named but surely doesn't need to be, I am honored to be working with you. As an agreement between our client, please review the package that is sent along with this letter for your information.
Our beloved and lasting client has made terms and conditions that we will obviously follow for they have the sense and intelligence in all matter.
Namely you and your kin, they were very adamant on that part.
In this package is a contract agreement that was done up for you and your kin pacifically. We have contacted your bank holders to which you are currently holding your funds, to have them transfer everything to us (Your card will still be accessible until such a time you activate our cards)
The contract agreement consists of allowing us, the senior partners of the National bank, to invest and keep your funds, to which you will have access to also.
Our mutual client has many investments for which we are very proud of.
The second contract document is for your soon to be house but will remain under our mutual client's name as per their request. Utility bills will go through our bank for payments as per our clients request as well as any purchased needed for the house. Enclosed are a set of keys, deed to the house and directions to said house along with our contact information.
The third and last contract is for your kins as our client understands you have three in your care. Each one will be granted access to their own accounts with their own cards for the formative years while they are in school: high school and post secondary or university. When they have been accepted to any post secondary or university schools, the tuition will be paid through us along with accommodations that are housed through our bank in all the nations of this great continent. When or if they decide not to enroll after finishing high school, we can put aside their school funding if they wish to open their own business and contribute to that instead.
Access to the funds is quick and easy: the green envelope is for your kins schooling, the black envelope is for yourself and the blue envelope is for your kins. Other then your funds from your previous holdings, our mutual client has deposited a hefty amount in each of yours and your kins accounts for all your wants and needs (their words exact)
On a side note: the orange envelope is for your partners and their squad for their travels back to their village and will be discontinued once they've reached the Leaf village. Their gratitude is enough for our mutual client.
Once all documents are signed, please seal them in the enclosed prepaid express envelope and return with the same courier that we sent with, thank you. However, if you are in need of assistance in transporting your personal belonging to your new home, please enclosed a letter the date of travel so we may have a local moving company scheduled to go and haul your belongings (Even if it's last-minute decision, we can be very persuasive) at our expense in gratitude for our newfound business relationship.

With shaking hands, Zabuza re-read the official letter many times over just to be sure he's not hallucinating or losing his mind or dreaming. When he woke up this morning and saw the unopened large envelope he had left on the kitchen counter the day before, he'd forgot he received it because of that morning's business and went to open it. Taking out some paperwork, smaller colored envelopes and a set of keys; Zabuza read the official letter then fell back on a chair in shock at its contents.
She did it! She actually did it!
With shaking hands, Zabuza dropped the letter on the table and stood up, inhaling a deep breath then:
"WOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
All the kids shot up from their place on the floor mattress as Kakashi ran in from the room, looking ready to fight but all they saw was a very excited man in the kitchen screaming and dancing.
"WOOOOOOOOO! YEEEAAAHHHHH!"
"Haku, I think something broke Zabuza" Sakura whispered to their bedmate as they watched the older man dancing in the kitchen with worrisome concern.
"Something must of happen, I've never seen him act like this before" he said before standing from the group and slowly going to the man whose moving about the kitchen.
"Zabuza?" Haku asked then gasped when he was suddenly picked up and spun around in the kitchen by the laughing, excited man.
"They did it, Haku! They Fucking Did It!" throwing the boy in the air and catching him before kissing his cheek and setting the boy at the table, Zabuza turned and quickly went over to a stunned looking Kakashi who didn't have time to react when sweet lips touched his and soft hands cupped his face tenderly as he melted into the kiss with a sigh.
The five left in the living room watched with mixed reactions sitting on the mattress on the floor: Dean had Sasuke wrapped around his back scratching their heads, Naruto was yawning with Sam on his lap and Sakura went to stand from their sleeping area to go to Haku. Haku himself picked up a letter and as his eyes went from sentence to sentence, they widen the further he went down the paper as he slumped back in his seat.
"She actually did it" Haku whispered so low that only one pair of ears perked up at the quiet comment as the other was too preoccupied to pay attention.
In all his years of listening to stories about his so-called sister; listening to Zabuza prattle on and on about the greatness of her and her selflessness or her accomplishments or something or other that he almost always stops listening to. Then again, Haku had never actually seen the things she's done, not even when she came to the village because Roxanne knocked him out before anything happened. All Haku knew was that there was a girl younger than him who had Zabuza first and could slit all their throats without thinking about it, seeing as he had experienced that part clearly and could vouch for it.
But the selflessness of Roxanne he had never actually seen with his own eyes and here in his own hands was physical proof that Roxanne actually put their needs way ahead of hers along with a house.
Then that thought completely wiped anything else from his mind as he dropped his hands onto his lap:
A house! Their very own house! With their own rooms! For all of them!
Laughter broke him out of his shock when he saw Zabuza twirling Kakashi around the room and Sakura standing by his side with a hand on his and a worried look on her face. Haku smiled, cupped her cheek, and leaned his head on hers, nuzzling her.
"We're okay, Sakura. We're so very okay" Smiling and handing over the paper in her hands, Haku jumped to his feet and went over to the adults as Zabuza turned to the boy and let Kakashi go. Kneeling, hands on the boys' shoulder and Zabuza's wet smile looking back at Haku who smiled and held on to the wrist with a light squeeze.
"They did it" Zabuza whispered as Haku nodded, his own unshed tears smiling back.
"We have a house" Haku whispered as Zabuza nodded then picked up the boy as they hugged and laughed.
The boys on the mattress on the floor and the man standing by have no idea what to make of all this, until:
"Oh My GOD, GUYS!" Sakura waving the paper frantically from the kitchen "They Got A House! AN ACTUAL HOUSE!" Looking back on the paper "And Money for their schooling!"
Sam and Dean stood up from their place on the mattress at that with their mouths open as both Naruto and Sasuke fell off with a grunt.
"And College funds!"
At that, Sam started to feel dizzy and swayed from his spot, but Naruto stood quickly to take hold of the boy with a firm grip as Sasuke did the same with Dean who had all the color drain from his face. Then:
"We get SPENDING MONEY TOO!?"
All four boys fell to the mattress, Kakashi fainted and both Zabuza and Haku laughed as Sakura joined them on their excitement bouncing around the apartment.

"And who exactly is this mutual benefactor?" Kakashi asked as he nursed a cup of coffee with one hand and the other held an ice pack on the bump on his head.
After everyone else got out of their shock; Sakura made coffee while Zabuza and Haku made breakfast, they all sat around the table as Haku read out the official letter from their bank.
Discreetly, Naruto and Sasuke shared a look: They knew that bank or accountants as Roxanne liked to call them but knew not to draw too much attention to it since it would lead to many questions they can't answer.
"Someone who is very dear to me and will remain dear to me until the day I am dirt" Zabuza said casually as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Then how can a bank just give you a house?" Kakashi asked as he rolled his eyes about the dirt comment,
"It clearly states here that it's not the bank giving us the house, they are just the middleman helping the benefactor in the transfer of the property. It's still under the benefactor's name with term and conditions along with the bank paying for all the bills and purchases" Haku explained, letter in one hand and a fork in the other.
"But why?" Kakashi stressed the word as the brothers and Sakura nodded along, wanting to know too.
Zabuza sighs, rubbing his face and sits up in his seat as he looked around to questionable eyes except for the three boys who looked like they already knew the answers but remained quiet to allow Zabuza to explain his way.
"They want me to live a long and happy life, with whoever I want in my life and as long as I am happy, they are happy for me. They want to give me their house because they don't want it, they want to give me money because they don't really see the point of having that much money, and they want to make sure I am taken care of because they want to take care of me" Zabuza finished with a sip of his coffee,
That stunned everyone at the table and all for different reasons: one of them being that the deep connections the man has with their friend they didn't know ran that deep and by the looks of it, the feeling was mutual.
"And in extension, they want to take care of all of you without asking for anything in return. They would never ask and it's best if you don't ask either. Just bask in the delight that we don't have to worry about anything when we leave" Zabuza smiled at the group then:
"Cheers!" Holding up the silver flask as Naruto exclaimed, he took a drink and Sasuke yelled at him.
"Dobe! It's too early to start drinking!" Trying to grab for the silver flask but Naruto was quick to close the cap and toss it to their sensei.
"Not if we already had breakfast, teme!" Sasuke glared at his blonde as said blonde smiled cheekily at him "Besides, we have to celebrate! Zabuza and them got a house! With money to probably last them all the way through college and extra money to spare!" As Naruto kept talking, Zabuza felt his baby boy turn towards him in question which made his brother and Haku turn to him too.
"Papa?" Zabuza turn to his boy on his right "How can one person have all this money and is willing to spend it on a couple strangers like Dean and me without asking for anything in return?" the man looked to his baby boy and to Dean who looked back with those concern green eyes, looking like he's already stressing about paying that back, thinking he has to pay it back. Zabuza took a deep breath then he lifted his baby boy onto his lap, wrapping one arm around him before holding out his other arm for Dean to slide in the now empty chair. When he slid in, Zabuza kissed Dean's forehead then nuzzled Sam's cheek, allowing his chest to rumbling in a quiet purr to calm his boys down.
"I've known this person for so long, I can't ever remember them asking for anything they can't do themselves. They've worked all their lives; they've done so many things on their own for so long that they've lost the need to ask for anything from anyone. They know what it feels like to be alone in this world" Kissing Sam's forehead as he held Dean closer and the room went quiet, all listening to the man speak fondly of this mysterious person.
"They've felt the cold clutches of darkness for a long time, and they've done it alone. They know what its like to want help but never receiving it and so they found their own way to come back into the light with their own bare hands" Dean's hands on his shirt tighten as Sam burrowed into his papa's chest. Sasuke took hold of Naruto's hand and squeezed. They both weren't aware of that but knew in the back of their minds that their friend was a complete mystery regarding her own past. Don't get them wrong: they know of bits and pieces here and there, but the rest is in the clouds. She knows enough of theirs but they don't know enough of hers.
"They've done so many things, they've helped so many peoples, and they will never ask anything back except your gratitude" Looking up to the table "And your respect" then looked down at his boys as both looked up with glistening eyes.
"So do not worry about anything because they won't think anything of it. You are not strangers to them because they know what you are to me and that's all that matters" One more kiss of the forehead, Zabuza hugged both boys to him.
"Wow, this guy must be something if it gets you all mushy" Dean mumbled in the man's chest as the table snorted and laughed, then they heard Dean squealing and giggling when Zabuza started blowing raspberries in his neck while being held hostage. That made them all laugh louder as Sam reached over to help his papa with tickling his brother.
Naruto and Sasuke shared a look while everyone was distracted, and they shared a small knowing smile:
Roxanne was definitely something.
OOOOO
Once everyone calmed down and finished their breakfast, Naruto and Sasuke took over cleaning up while the rest of the kids went to the living to finish their movie from last night as the two adults took out maps to plan their way on the table. But before anyone moved, Zabuza took the documents for them to sign, seal and send them off to the courier before Haku could blink. Sakura took hold of the long hair boy and steered him to the living room where Sam and Dean continued with their rough housing, rolling around trying to one up the other and haven't noticed the other two. Sasuke nudged his blonde in the kitchen and Naruto turned just in time to see Sakura cracking her knuckles as she and Haku looked down at the rolling brothers. The blonde gulped.
The brothers never saw it coming: one second Dean had Sam on his back tickling him ruthlessly, the next both their faces were pushed into the mattress with their hands held behind their back, a body straddling them, and their legs held back with their other hand. Dean turned his head to look behind him then looked to his brother who had a cute little pout that he couldn't help but snicker at.
"Sammy got took down by a girl" teasing his brother as Sam blushed and tried to get loose but Sakura held firm. Dean just relaxed his body as he watched Sam try to struggle out of the pink one's hold and when Haku felt the boy under him go lax, he let him go as Dean stretched out his arms then folded them under his head to watch the others. Swinging his feet in the air, minding Haku on his back, Dean relaxed then hummed when he felt a hand run through his hair.
"Hey!" Sam halted his need to get free from under the pink one as all the kids turned to the blonde standing in the kitchen "Why do they get special treatment and we get a freight train?" pointing to himself and Sasuke who just smirked at his blonde.
"Because your heads are thicker than theirs" Sakura said as she finally let Sam's arms and legs go.
"And they need training before being thrown into that kind of physical interaction" Haku added as he resumes messaging Dean's scalp with his fingers.
"Plus, they are so cute" Kakashi cooed from the table as Zabuza patted his shoulder and nodded in agreement.
"Meh!" Naruto dismissive wave with a loudly rolling of his eyes had Sasuke snickering to his blonde then growled when he saw the flask flashed into his hands to which he turned to glare at their sensei as Naruto hummed his thanks and took a good swig.
"If we meet again then maybe by then they'll be trained up enough to withstand a punch" Sakura said as she ruffled Sam's hair then smoothed it back when the boy slumped down on their mattress in mock defeat.
Naruto and Sasuke shrugged as they went back to their cleaning then Naruto threw the flask back to Kakashi who set it down on the table as Zabuza smoothed out the map then took the deed for their new house and looked over the coordinates. Kakashi handed over a pencil as he looked over the man's shoulder then give a small kiss to said shoulder as Zabuza hummed in delight at the attention. Marking the location then their location, Zabuza stood up to survey the map and turned to Kakashi to ask him about the way they went to this village, handing the pencil to the Jonin as he leaned down to mark the trail they went.
Sam and Dean hummed from the attention then they both turned to grab their rider from on top of them to snuggled underneath before Dean grabbed the remote and turned the movie back on with the volume loud enough for them in the living room.
The apartment was silent save for the quiet planning at the kitchen and the tv sounds in the living room as the boys in the kitchen finished their cleaning. Naruto went over to Kakashi's side and took another swig of the flask as Kakashi patted his head distractingly. Sasuke then took the blonde's hand and lead him back to the makeshift camp as they took a place on the mattress on the floor with their bedmates.
With the silence of the room, the kids all slowly drifted off to sleep one by one and as the last one's breath evened out, Zabuza went to Haku's room and came back with the camera, handing it over to Kakashi who smiled.

Handing it back to the man to be set back in the room, Kakashi rolled up the map and tied a rubber band around it then handed it over. As Zabuza went to put that away, Kakashi went over to the couch, plucked the remote from Dean's hand carefully and laid down. As he flicked around the channels, Zabuza quietly groaned when he slid on top of the warm body, snuggling into the man's chest as he yawned.
"Too much excitement too early in the morning" the body under him chuckled quietly as one hand ran through his hair and relaxing to the touch as his eyes closed.
"Sleep, my sweet man" no reply except for the shallow breathing and Kakashi kissed his man on his head then continued clicking the remote, looking for a channel he'd like to watch while the family slept comfortably around him.

The next time any of them woke up was Sam when he opened his eyes to see a head full of long hair raising up and down. Blinking the blurry sleep away, Sam leaned back slightly to see Haku sleeping on top of Dean and looking up, Sam saw that he too was nestle in the crook of his brother's arm and neck as said brother quietly snored. Smiling, Sam snuggled back into his brother's warmth as the arms around his mid section tighten just a bit to bring them closer to his back and he reached down to hold the hand close to his chest with a sigh, falling back asleep.
The next to wake up later was Naruto who was sprawled on his back, his left arm and leg were touching Sasuke who was wrapped around Dean who had Haku on top of his chest. Smacking his dry lips and lifting his head, Naruto looked to the couch to see one blue eye crinkled up in a hidden smile behind his mask looking at him and Zabuza asleep on top of him. Dropping his head down on the pillow, Naruto removed his limbs from his bed mate and stretched himself without moving or saying much so as to not wake the rest. Rubbing his eyes, Naruto quickly did the signs and his clone quietly popped up by his side. They nodded to the other as the original Naruto got up for the clone to take his place beside Sasuke who didn't twitch at the quick but careful replacement.
When he stood, Naruto stretched high to the ceiling, feeling his muscles stretched and bones pop, then went to the kitchen to make a fresh brew of coffee as the words from yesterday ran through his head:
'Dobe should know not to leave the bed if he wants us to keep sleeping in' Sasuke had said that, and it gave him the idea of his clone this morning. The blonde wanted them all asleep until the fresh aroma of freshly brewed coffee can filter in the living room to slowly wake them up. Plus, the blonde wanted to have his fair share of the flask that still sat on the table. Picking said item up, Naruto shook it to measure how much was left then turned his head to the couch where he felt one blue eye watched with a raised brow and the blonde smiled at his sensei, lift the flask up in a salute before uncapping and downing what's left of the contents of the flask.
A groan, a hiss then a quiet huff when the burning liquid went down his throat. Licking his lips, Naruto closed the cap and set the empty flask on the table then went to the kitchen and ran a cup of water. Drinking the cool water and putting the cup in the sink, Naruto shook off the remains of the hard liquor and started on making the coffee with the watchful eye of his sensei.
The strong aroma of the heavenly brew whiffed to the living room and the one body that's being piled on the floor of the living room woke up, opening their eyes with a quiet groan in confusion at being crowded in from all sides. Moving his fingers, Dean felt a head of hair in one hand and in the other, a different head laying on his arm then looking down, he saw another head of hair on his chest. Dropping his head back on the pillow and sighing about his predicament on how to get out of this situation, Dean turned his head to the side to see one blue eye looking back at him in amusement that he gave the finger to from Sam's head and the man chuckled.
A hum made Dean turn his head to see Sasuke's eyes fluttering open and his nose twitching up towards the aroma then his head followed, leaving Dean's arm free to flex his hand.
Sasuke opened his eyes as he pushed himself up to his elbow and taking in the smell then looked behind him to see his blonde. Looking at their huddle of bodies, Sasuke took note of each individual person then furrowed his brows in confusion when he counted an extra person in the kitchen, waving a finger at him.
"Dobe?" he asked as he pushed into a sitting position and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, making sure he wasn't dreaming about another cute blonde in the kitchen that looked like his blonde.
"Yes?" said from the kitchen and his side. Sasuke looked to the blonde in the kitchen and to his side before shaking his head. Crawling away from his bedmates, Sasuke stood and stretched high to the ceiling, quietly sighing at the stretch. Dropping his arms, Sasuke went to the kitchen where Naruto stood by the coffee machine and gave his blonde a nuzzle then a kiss. Reaching up to the cabinets for a mug, Sasuke took one last yawn and then poured coffee into his and Naruto's cup, which was already waiting by the machine. They both turned when they heard a sleepy whine coming from the living room where they could see Dean lifting Haku from his chest to slid him over so Sam has someone to cuddle into before slipping away. Sasuke smiled at their bedmate and reached up again for a mug for the older boy who smiled a sleepy smile, giving Sasuke a hug and kiss on the cheek in thanks before taking the offered mug. Naruto and Sasuke mixed their cups then went to the table where Sasuke quired a brow at the silver flask sitting on the table as Naruto took a sip of his coffee with a content hum.
Leaving it for now, Sasuke took his own sip as Dean came over to the table with his now mixed coffee cup and gave a yawn. Naruto turned to the boy and asked:
"What should we do today?" both boys shrugged then a voice from the living room said,
"The festivities are still going on, we can check it out"
"Think we missed the grand opening of the bridge this morning" said the pink haired one on the floor level as she sat up from behind Sam. The blonde clone reached over the three and swiped the remote from the Jonin's hand to click through the channels. Sakura stretched with a quiet groan then pushed herself up off the mattress and went to the kitchen to grab a water bottle from the fridge. Leaning against the counter, taking a sip before continue talking. "I think it's best to start planning our route, scheduling the moving company and letting the landlords know of our upcoming departure"
"Sakura's right" said a gruff voice from the couch as Zabuza turned his head to nuzzle the body underneath him "We already figured out the directions we'll be going so just need to figure out what we're bringing" lifting himself on his hands and knees over Kakashi as he looked down at the blue eye looking up at him, Zabuza smiled and kissed that mask covered lips before fully removing himself.
As he stretched, both Kakashi from the couch and Dean from the table watched with the same glint in their eyes as Sasuke rolled his eyes, Naruto snickered into his hand and Sakura cooed at their cuteness. Dropping his arms, Zabuza walked around the mattress on the floor to the window and opened the curtains to let in the afternoon sun for which made the last two yell in protest before covering themselves with the blanket. Kakashi just closed his eyes to allow himself a moment to get used to the shining light then sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Rise and shine, we're going out for lunch" Zabuza said as he leaned down to rub someone's head as he walked around to head to the kitchen. "Everyone wash up, get dressed, grab your things for the day and we'll head out" Taking out two mugs and pouring into both cups, Zabuza turned to the kids at the table, "We'll make arrangements while we're out"
"How long will it take to pack up the apartment?" Sakura asked as she finished her bottle and tossed it into the recycling bin.
"We're not taking the furniture" mixing both mugs then lifted one as Kakashi leaned into his sides with a kiss on his bare shoulder "But go and get ready, we'll talk on the way" the three and Sakura nodded as they went to do as they were told while the adults took a seat at the table and smiled when Sam sat up with a grumble. Haku sat up too with his eyes closed then stood up and blindly made his way to his room, passing a smiling Sakura as she went to the closest bathroom.
"Papa?" Both Zabuza and Kakashi looked to their baby boy as he shuffled over and took a seat on Zabuza's lap as the man lifted his arms to accommodate his boy then wrapped him up, letting the boy breath into his neck with a sigh. Kakashi leaned over, putting his arm behind Zabuza's chair and rubbed the boy's side with the other.
"I didn't dream it, did I?" Sam mumbled in his papa's neck "It's real? We have a house and money for school?" Sam felt his papa kissed his head as Kakashi wrapped both up in his arms, nuzzling into the boy's hair.
"You didn't dream it, baby. You and your brother will be well cared for as I know Zabuza and Haku will make sure of it" Kakashi said as he kissed the boy's hair.
"Or else we'll be skinned alive by one angry tailed beast" a voice said as they all looked to see Haku standing in his doorway, dressed and waiting for the bathroom with a small smile.
"Nothing worst then seeing a tailed girl rip you apart with her bare hands" Zabuza said with a chuckle but stopped when he felt his boy tense in his arms, and he looked down at the boy.
"Tailed girl? Who's that?"
"Yeah, who's that?" said another gruff voice and they turned to see Dean standing with his arms crossed and with a frown. Zabuza and Kakashi then looked at each other.
"Did we forget to mention that Roxanne has a tail?" Kakashi asked as Zabuza nodded then looked to Dean who looked confused.
"Roxanne, my packmate"
"Our packmate" Naruto said as he came back into the main room with Sasuke who nodded.
"Friend too" Sakura said as she took a seat beside the grey haired Jonin and took his cup of coffee for a sip.
"All of the above. Roxanne is the only one I know in the whole world that has a tail and she's very protective of what she deems her pack" Zabuza said as he looked down to his boy as Sam looked on in disbelief.
"Hold on, hold on" Dean said as he took a seat across from the adults and his brother "You are telling us" Gesturing to Sam and himself "That there is a girl with a tail out there?" nods all around "A girl, born with an actual tail?" again more nods "A tail?"
"Yes, Dean darling. A girl named Roxanne, with a tail and born with said tail" Haku said as he made his way to the bathroom to freshen up.
"She showed us on her first day at the academy" Sakura said.
"She likes to let it free when she's having fun" Kakashi said as he smoothed down Sam's hair.
"She wraps it around your leg when she sleeps" Zabuza said which made everyone snap at him in surprise. "What? She's pack so it's only fair when we share a bed" he casual said like it's an everyday occurrence.
Naruto and Sasuke gave each other a look that didn't go pass Zabuza, Kakashi and Sakura. Sam and Dean noticed all the looks.
"Did all of you share a bed with her?" Sam asked the group as Haku came back in the room and took a seat beside Dean, reaching over to take Zabuza's cup of coffee.
"No" Haku, Sakura and Kakashi said just as the other three said 'Yes'
"It's nothing sexual obviously" Naruto said as he threw his arms up in a huff as Sasuke sighed and Zabuza nodded with the blonde "It's more like sleeping with a" twirling his hands to find the right words.
"A teddy bear?" Sasuke supplied that got Zabuza snorting and laughing, shaking his boy on his lap with his fits as Kakashi giggled into his hand. Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other and just shrugged as Sakura rolled his eyes at the immaturity of the adults.
Haku, however, clicked his tongue as he held up a finger "Now that we've established her level of intimacy with the group, can we go? Getting hungry here" Finishing off the cup, Haku stood to rinse it out in the sink as Sam shrugged and got up off his papa to get dressed quickly as the rest grabbed their things for the day. The adults went to their room for a quick change just as Sam went to the bathroom to wash up and Dean scratched his head as Naruto took his other hand with a tug.
"I guess it'll take awhile to realized what being a packmate is all about" Dean said as the blonde smiled up at him.
"And you have the best people to teach you before we go our separate ways" Sasuke said as he took his blonde's hand. Sakura and Haku took each other's hand just as Sam came out and put on his shoes.
"Alright, family, lead the way" Zabuza said with his arm around Sam's waist as he tossed the key to Haku.
"I know a great place that does all day breakfast if we are still thinking about breakfast" Most of the group shook their head as they left the apartment, then Haku made another suggestion.
"There's this nice restaurant with a great brunch menu"
As the rest converse on where to eat, Dean tugged the blonde's hand for his attention:
"So, this tail business. What kind of tail?" Dean was intrigued at the thought of a human being with a tail and wanted to know more.
"Hmm, this long" Naruto let his hand go to show the length "Dark brown fur"
"Like a monkey?" Dean asked as he tried to picture a tail on a faceless girl when Sasuke snapped his head to the older boy.
"No, Nothing like a monkey. It's super soft, it sometimes has a mind of its own and even though it's been months since we saw her, I know it's stronger now, just like her" Sasuke nodded to himself as Naruto smiled at his defense of their friend.
"She a ninja like you? Kakashi said something about her being on her own" Sasuke nodded again as he took hold of the boy's hand.
"She left the same day we did for this mission, heading to rock country for her own mission"
"Alone?" then grunted when he felt the weight of the blonde jump on his back but didn't stumble and still held Sasuke's hand.
"She has her own Jonin. The first ever to have a single two-person squad when it's supposed to be a four person squad but then because of the unusual circumstances, the Hokage allowed it"
"Hmm" Dean hummed as they came to the bustling part of the village where the restaurants and food vendors are. The group followed Haku and Sakura to a simple place run by an elderly couple who met them at the entrance and started to coo at the kids. Zabuza and Kakashi preened at their praise then followed the couple to a booth fit enough for all of them as the woman softly pinched Sasuke's cheek much to Naruto's delight. Zabuza, Sam, Kakashi and Sakura slipped in one side with Sakura at the open end while Dean, Sasuke, Naruto and Haku took the other side as Haku sat across from Sakura.
They ordered juice, soft drink and water when the waitress came by who eyed both Sasuke and Dean with a look that went ignored by both. When she left, Zabuza rubbed his temple with a sigh.
"When will people learn to read the room for unwanted advances" he mumbled as Kakashi put his arm behind Sam to lay a hand on the man's shoulder.
"Even wearing a wedding band will make them work harder to get our attention" He said into the group as the kids nodded. One last sigh, Zabuza looked around:
"Look at the menu, find what you like then to tell both Haku and Sakura so they can dominate the conversation. We are here as a family, and I will not have some girl with googly eyes trying to weasel her way into it and make everyone else uncomfortable" Everyone nodded in agreement with those terms as Sakura cackled while cracking her knuckles and Haku smirked.
When the girl came back, Sakura stood from her seat and took the tray from the girl to give out to the table as Haku stood with the menus in one hand as he pulled the waitress to him with the other and gave out orders for their meal. The girl hurriedly wrote down then was given the tray back along with the menus as both Haku and Sakura smiled at her, both blocking the view of the rest of their group. The waitress pouted then turned away to place their order with the cook as Sakura smirked at her retreating back then smiled when the elderly lady came asking if everything's alright.
"Just dismissing some unwanted attention, that is all" The lady understood right away and walked away without a word. The two sat back down as Dean reached behind the two and patted Haku's shoulder in thanks as Kakashi bumped shoulders with the pink haired one.
"Moving on" Zabuza addressed the group "After we get our security deposit back, I'll let the landlord know the furniture stays, it'll do well for the next tenant and the landlord will probably charge extra in the security deposit if he claims it for the unit. Pack clothes for the road, only what you need because once we arrive, Haku will have the honors of getting our wardrobe" Hearing that, Haku quietly squealed into his hands and he bounced in his seat in excitement. "For work and schooling" more squealing that turned almost high pitch and Naruto clapped his hands over his ears as Kakashi winced.
"Household items will be after we do inventory of the house. From what I remember the last time I spoke with the benefactor, they said they had a caretaker living at the house, but she will vacate once we get there"
"Wait!" Kakashi held up a hand to stop the man "Are you telling me that when you guys get there, this caretaker who is a lady will have to leave?" Zabuza nodded "So basically you'll be kicking her out" shaking of the head.
"This caretaker takes care of the house and has her own place, she most likely just checks up on the house and dusts once in a while" suggesting that Zabuza shrugged since he clearly had no idea, but Kakashi went on,
"But you don't know for sure"
Before anyone could answer, a courier bird flew into the restaurant and perched on the back of the booth where the group sat, turning to present a scroll on it's back to Zabuza. Zabuza looked at the bird then the group, raising his brow in disbelief:
"Why do I feel like the question you asked is going to be answered by this bird?" Reaching up to take the scroll, the bird ruffled it's feathers and turned back to face the group, clearly waiting for the next step. "Now they wait" Breaking the small seal and unrolling the scroll, Zabuza read the contents.
The group relaxed, knowing whatever it says will benefit them on their way to a new life. Sam read the scroll next to his papa as Kakashi sighed and took a sip of his water. Haku leaned back in his seat and laid his head on the blonde's shoulder, taking his hand too.
Zabuza and Sam then chuckled as the boy took the scroll from Zabuza and handed it to the other adult. Zabuza looked to Haku,
"Do you have a pad and pen?" the boy nodded as he opened his purse to take out those items, Zabuza looked to Dean "They feel it necessary to make a list now in household items so the caretaker can get our house ready" He then turned to Kakashi "They mentioned that the caretaker, Maria, that's her name, does take care of the house once a week but lives at her own home so technically she's not being kicked out and will take back her old occupation as housekeeper maid" looking to the group "She's not going to take no for an answer" Both Dean and Naruto grinned at the already stubbornness of this woman.
"Can we at least ask for a resume?" Haku asked as he handed over the pad and pen to Zabuza who nodded his head to the document in Kakashi's hand,
"It's attached" Kakashi handed the second part to the boy as he handed the letter back to Sam and leaned back in his seat.
"It would seem that this lady has been taking care of this household for years: from the old tenants to this benefactor and would love a chance to take care of all of you" At that Sam smiled up at the man as he handed over the letter to Dean who had his hand out for the paper.
"This is a very impressive resume" Haku commented but didn't look up from reading the credentials "How old is this lady to have that much training done?"
"We'll know when we meet her at the house"
When the waitress came back with their order, Sakura and Haku stood again to take over as the waitress stepped aside to wait, not once looking at the group then nodded when the tray was handed back to her and left to see to other customers. The group didn't comment on the changed behavior of their waitress, just dismissed it as one of the elders doing; for which they are very grateful.
"I'll pass on the notepad once I'm done with the house furnishing like furniture, kitchen and bathroom stuff. You'll each have a chance to decide what will be in your rooms and then when we arrive, we can decide together on the beddings and such" Zabuza said as he wrote on the pad as the rest nodded and started on their food.
"Sensei" said man looked up to Naruto "Are we going the same way then split midway or?"
Kakashi chewed his food then swallowed before answering the blonde. "We are going to go as far as we can with them then split" Looking around the table "We have to get in as much time as we can before leaving each other for who knows how long" said sadly as Kakashi set his fork down and put his arm around Sam. "I don't know about any of you but I'm going to miss them" nuzzling down to the boy's neck, Sam sighed as he turned in his seat and wrapped his arms around the Jonin.
"For as much as we can" Sasuke agreed as Dean wrapped himself around him and he leaned into the touch as Dean laid his head on Sasuke's.
Haku and Naruto looked to each other, each looking into the other's eyes, mapping out and memorizing each line and specks of the other's face. Neither needed to say a word for their eyes spoke more then words can say.
Sakura held in her tears and swallowed a sob making it's way up her throat as she took out her camera and stood to take a good angle, allowing everyone else at the table to have their fill of the other. She will have her quality time later, for now she'll be the strong one for once.
