Chapter 1: Arrival, Questions, Answers, Help, and Rescue.
When Anakin, Yularen and the rest of the crew and troopers on the Resolute started to wake up they all saw that they were near the planet of geonosis, but what was really strange was the fact that there was debris surrounding the planet. "What the kriff just happened"? Anakin asked himself silently. "General"! One of the clone officers called coming over to Anakin. "The Bad Batch would like to have a word with you". He nodded at the clone officer and headed to where the Bad Batch quarters were.
The reason why the Bad Batch were traveling with Anakin and the 501st to the planet Alderaan to stop a civil war from starting is because before the war end they were able to discover order 66 and the inhibitor chips inside all of the clones and were able to help the jedi remove all of the inhibitor chips from all of the clones rendering them brainwashed free and saving both the jedi, clones, and the Republic. This also helped them get more respect for both the kaminoans and clones and now saw them as the best of the best the Elite clones of the Republic clone army. When Anakin arrived at Bad Batch's quarters they were all having a discussion with their brains of their team Tech.
"General, glad to see that alright". Hunter, leader of the Bad Batch, said to Anakin with relief. "Likewise Hunter". Anakin nodded. "General what Tech has to say might be a little has to say might be a little crazy, but I believe it is our best bet onto say what happened". Anakin nodded then looked at Tech. "General what you're going to have to understand is that what caused that unknown energy signature is because our hyperdrive was the cause of the problem". Anakin looked at what Tech had said and raised his left eyebrow quizzically.
"What are you saying Tech"? Anakin asked him not sure where Tech was going with this. What I am implying sir is that the new hyperdrive that the republic put into this ship was overloaded with so much energy at the speed that we were going at that it had us travel through spacetime into an alternate reality". If Anakin's jaw could hit the floor it would have done it a thousand times over. He then closed his and shook his head to clear it and then asked "Ok for the sake of argument I believe you and that we are in an actual alternate reality, how is this one different from ours". "Well for one thing while Omega and I were scanning the galaxy we both found something very disturbing". As Tech said this he quickly brought out a data pad, pressed a few buttons on it and showed him a symbol on it. A symbol that meant only one thing.
"This symbol is of the Galactic Empire meaning that"... "In this reality I became Darth Vader and Order 66 was issued". Anakin finished sadly. Everyone just looked down at their feet in the shameful & sadful silence. Deciding to move onto something different Anakin then asked Tech "Please tell me that there is some good news in all of this mess". Tech nodded and pressed a few more buttons on the holopad and showed him what looked like ship speed charts. "There is a way of returning to our reality using the hyperdrive. If we get it at the right speed we can return to our reality". Anakin nodded and then asked Tech "What's the other good news"? "There is a rebel alliance dedicated to bringing the empire down. The closest rebels we are near to is the ghost crew and apparently they are on a mission to free a group of wookies from a slave camp on the planet Kessel".
Anakin couldn't believe what he had just heard. The empire using wookies as slaves on the planet Kessel, Anakin already knew that Kessel was a mining planet and wookies were born on the planet of Kashyyyk. If the empire was sending wookies to Kessel to work as labor mining
slaves it meant that the empire was sending them to their deaths. After hearing what Tech had said Anakin made up his mind in that instant. "Ok with that being said Hunter I want you and your team to go and help the ghost crew save the wookies while we finish repairing the hyperdrive here on the Resolute. The Bad Batch all nodded and proceeded to the Resolute hang to their personal ship: the Marauder. While Anakin was heading back to helm thinking about what is to come in the future.
Planet: Kessel
On the plant Kessel things had gone from bad to worse for the ghost crew. They were able to free the Wookiees but were then caught in a crossfire between stormtroopers and tie fighters. Luckily the ghost ship was able to drive them off, but just barely. " I can't maintain position". said Hera as she avoided Tie fighter blasts left and right. "Go lead the Ties away and give yourself maneuvering room". Kannan told her hiding behind a bunch of crates over the com's. "I am not leaving you behind"! Hera protested. Kannan looked around to see a bunch of large sized containers. "No you're not, we're running a 22 pick up". Kannan told her. "Seriously"? The mandalorian known as Sabine asked Kannan incredulesly. "Hey you have a better option"? Kannan asked her. "Jump into the pit and get it over with"? The big purple alien known as Zeb asked Kannan. "Alright, I'll be back just make sure that you're ready". Hera told them as she signed off on the coms.
"22 pickup, care to let care to let me in on the secret". The kid known as Ezra asked them. Kannan looked at Ezra and said to him "Kid I'm about to let everyone in on the secret. Then Kannan walked out from behind the crates and started to approach the squad of stormtroopers while dodging the laser bolts that were flying by at the same time. The leader of the squad of stormtroopers known as Agent Calais halted the squad's firing, wanting to see who this man was and how he was dodging laser fire so fast. Then Kannan pulled out two cylinder looking objects and then attached and twisted them together. After he did that he pushed a button on the cylinder object igniting a type of energy from it.
After Kanna did that he swung the light saber around and got into a fighting stance. Everyone minus Zeb and Sabine were so shocked at what they were seeing. They were seeing a fully armed Jedi Knight. Agent Calais was the first to get out of his stupor. "All troopers Focus your fire on… on the Jedi". Calais ordered the storm troopers. Before the storm troopers could lay a shot on Kannan, Two blue blaster bolts hit two stormtroopers directly in their head. Everyone was staring in shock at the two dead stormtroopers lying around because no one had fired a single blaster bolt at all. Then out of nowhere four individuals wear what looked like old republic clone commando armor but with different helmets came running up from behind the squad of stormtroopers, while firing their DC-17w blasters at them.
"Make the hole"! Wrecker roared as he barreled through some of the stormtroopers. Hunter ran up from behind Wrecker spun around and spun around twice cutting and stabbing two stormtroopers in the process. Tech quickly proceeded to run up from behind three stormtroopers and placing emp detonators on their backs. As soon as he was in a safe distance from the stormtroopers he pressed a button on his holopad activating the emp detonators and stunning the stormtroopers into unconsciousness. While this was happening Echo came rushing in blasting away stormtroopers with his DC-15 pistol and slicing them down with his prosthetic vibro arm. While the battle on the ground ensued on top of the big crates both Crosshairs and Omega were helping their team on the ground by taking shots at the stormtroopers head.
When the battle was finally over, the only person that was left was Agent Calais who was holding his blaster rifle while shaking with fright at the Bad Batch who was approaching him. "Stay back or I swear I'll shoot you all"! Hunter looked at Wrecker who nodded and proceeded to knock Agent Calais out. When the battle was finally over the Bad Batch walked over to the Ghost crew and the wookies who were still looking at them in awe & shock. "Are you Kannan Jarrus, leader of the Ghost crew"? Hunter asked Kannan. "Yes…Yes I am". Kannan answered cautiously, still holding his lightsaber up in defense. "My name is Hunter, leader of clone force 99 or the Bad Batch and under the authority of the Galactic Republic, General Skywalker would like to have a word with you and your crew.
