(Uzumaki compound)
"We're gonna draw in so much attention." Haku said as she normally did on occasion.
"Our armor gives us an advantage, plus I think we look amazing." Shizuka said as their armor would help them in the end.
"Hey if they laugh now, imagine how funny it's gonna be when we pass and win this thing." Naruto said with a smirk confident in their victory.
That calmed his teammates' nerves as they left.
(30 minutes later)
"Have you lost your mind?" Haku said as she covered Sasuke's mouth 'maybe Naruto wasn't the prideful one on the team.' she thought as Sasuke was about to reveal the genjutsu to the others "we need less competition, the teams that can't see genjutsu or figure out what floor this is will be eliminated easy enough." she said as they needed less canon fodder for the second test.
"Hey Naruto you see that kid?" Shizuka asked ignoring Sakura as she tried yelling at them, they were using the comms so one could hear them.
"His name is Sai, I asked Kakashi sensei about it a while ago." Naruto said as he didn't trust him as everything about him screamed fake.
They were stopped when a boy in green spandex arrived and challenged Sasuke.
'Ok this almost makes me glad, I'm not wearing green.' Naruto thought feeling as if the dragon power within him was agreeing.
Sasuke jumped at the chance for a match.
"At least we get a glimpse of the competition." Haku said as they watched the match.
They saw the match begin and noticed some things immediately, Sasuke had activated his sharingan and Lee moved at incredible speeds.
"Haku full disclosure, can you keep up?" Naruto asked the ice user, talking through their comms not wanting to give away their own secrets.
"Like this yes, but look at his leggings." Haku said knowing when people wore baggy clothes it was for a reason "I think he's wearing weights with gravity seals." she said as that was a little frightening as his speed was comparable to hers like this, she wondered how much weight he was carrying.
They decided to leave a bit early and went to the waiting area and liked they guessed they got a lot of attention.
Haku looked through most of the ninja here and some were in their late teens 'at least we look better than the team from the rain.' she thought seeing how they wore masks that kinda screamed crazy people.
'Oh crap.' Naruto thought seeing a small white dog sniff his leg "Akamaru go shoo." he said as Naruto got along better with Akamaru than he did his owner remembering their days in the academy as the small dog was basically their mascot and the only one who could steal chips from Choji and not get hurt, the dog began to bark getting some attention.
"Naruto?" Kiba said in surprise seeing Akamaru bark at the man in armor and then caught his scent
"Thanks Akamaru." Naruto said sarcastically as the dog barked happily and panted.
"Dude what are you wearing?" Kiba asked as he did have to admit Naruto looked kinda cool, but it still was a bit ridiculous.
"I'll tell you later." Naruto said to him.
"Who are they?" Kiba asked him looking at the similarly dressed companions.
"New team I transferred." Naruto said keeping it calm.
"Had enough of Sasuke?" Kiba asked as he could understand that.
"I had enough of him when I met him." Shizuka said as she could see similarities between Naruto and Sasuke, but ultimately she thought Naruto was more grounded while Sasuke gave into his own ego.
Kiba laughed at that.
"Kiba this is Shizuka and Haku Yuki." Naruto said introducing them.
"Sup." Kiba said as Akamaru barked in welcome.
"Where's the rest of your team?" Haku asked him.
"Shino is lurking somewhere and Hinata is over there." Kiba said as he doubted she noticed unless she used her byakugan to see this was Naruto.
They were interrupted by the sound of Sakura and Ino yelling at each other.
"They haven't changed." Kiba said flatly.
The ranger team watched but then their attention was brought to a fellow leaf ninja who walked toward the ever-growing group of rookies.
Haku listened intently 'if the name is what it implies how does he have that much up to date information?' she thought to herself.
"Gaara of the desert, Rock Lee of the Leaf, Haku Yuki, Shizuka formerly of Nadeshiko, and Naruto Uzumaki." Sasuke asked him.
The ranger team was both curious and on edge wondering how much this genin knew, but they were all curious of Gaara in particular as days ago when they were on some down time, they ran into some sand ninja one in particular who was bullying Konohamaru named Kankuro, and team 7 arrived during the confrontation, but one sand ninja, in particular, caught all their attention.
They were put off when most of his stats were unknown and the fact he had high ranking missions with no injuries was concerning.
'A taijutsu specialist.' Haku thought as she knew her hunch was right about him, but his nonexistent skills made her curious 'is he unable to mold chakra.' she thought as those were rare amongst ninja
The rangers were curious to their stats and were glad Haku's missions with Zabuza were still secret, but her taijutsu was mentioned to he on par with Lee's and her ninjutsu was chunin rank.
Shizuka's was also unknown and nothing was revealed.
"...and she is engaged to Naruto Uzumaki." Kabuto said as that drew much more attention.
"No one knows about this except the people present that day, the Hokage put a gag order till he revealed it himself did someone fucking blab." Shizuka said over the comms.
They all looked at Sakura for a moment wondering if she did in fact gossip to Ino.
"You're engaged!?" the rest of the rookie 9 asked in shock.
"Crap!" Naruto said in annoyance and was thankful the proctor showed up.
(1 hour later)
"They passed this." Zabuza said with a smile seeing his genin not get caught whatsoever.
"Not a single proctor saw them do anything." Kakashi said a little impressed as Ibiki trained most of them himself.
"Yeah and I checked some of their answers they passed if they were ever gonna be graded, to begin with." Zabuza said to him.
"You see the forest of death?" Kakashi asked him.
"And people think my graduation was bloody, the leaf has some fucked up tests of its own." Zabuza said as the man had to agree to that as the forest of death was the ultimate test for genin trying to make chunin as it pushed them farther than ever before.
(with Naruto)
"I don't quit and I don't run, screw this damn test, pass or fail that won't stop me from moving forward, I will be Hokage count on it!" Naruto yelled slamming his hand down breaking the table.
Ibiki was a little impressed by that declaration as while not very ninja like, he saw the calming effect he seemed to have 'maybe.' he thought smiling before revealing the answer to the tenth question and the purpose of the test.
(20 minutes later)
"Zabuza Kakashi." Ibiki said as he called them here.
"What is it?" Zabuza asked cutting to the point.
"Your ninja seem smarter than the rest." Ibiki said handing him their tests.
Zabuza saw their answers and was rather pleased seeing they were accurate and detailed and his eyes landed on the tenth box "what is this chicken scratch?" he asked as Kakashi looked it over for a moment.
"It's a message, you need all three tests to see it, if you overlap them behind one another and shine light through the back." Ibiki said showing them as he talked.
'Kabuto Yakushi, is a mole, he knows too much from other lands to be a genin, and he knew of Naruto's engagement despite gag.'
"I'm giving them each a recommendation for chunin." Ibiki said to them "they passed the test literally, they weren't caught cheating, and analyzed the competition and found a mole." he said to him.
Kakashi was proud that Naruto passed the hidden part of the first test as while Ibiki did tell them the truth there was another part of this test which was to test their own intelligence and stealth it was to see how smart they were and how well they could hide from the proctors.
"Well I put them through hell, the forest ain't gonna do jack shit to them." Zabuza said as he was positive he was a worse option than the forest.
(next day)
"Did you learn how to do it?" Haku asked as this could speed up their time exponentially to the center of the forest.
"Yeah, but we still need a scroll also who gets the scroll?" Naruto asked them.
"We all use close combat, Naruto you mostly, so it's heads or tails between me and Haku." Shizuka said to him.
"Haku might be our best bet, she's fast and has her crystal ice mirrors so she's safe in case we get split up." Naruto said to them.
Haku nodded taking the earth scroll.
Anko was a little impressed as she just thought this team was a bunch of color coded idiots and Ibiki gave them praise which was why she was at their gate entrance 'they passed my part of the test worse for worse.' she thought as the time from when they arrive to the start of the test was prep time to assess the situation and to her they did in fact not waste even a second waiting like some of the other idiots she proctored.
The signal made them aware of the start of the test.
Anko was just about to leave when she heard a roar 'the hell, the tigers don't get to close here?' she thought to herself.
(with Naruto)
"Well at least we have a way to get there faster." Haku said looking at the Strike Rider.
"Should we split up, we are in constant contact?" Shizuka asked them.
"Wait for back up if you spot someone or a team, but also do not engage." Haku said as one only engaged if necessary.
(20 minutes later)
"Oh crap!" Naruto said finding team 7 in a worse state than he could've imagined "c'mon c'mon." he said activating the scanner in his visor seeing Sakura was just unconcious, Sasuke was suffering from chakra poisoning and Sai had a seal on another 'crap, damn it Sasuke!' he thought taking his hand "I hope this works!" he said glowing a brilliant rainbow color.
Sasuke screamed feeling another presence enter his being, but he heard voices.
(10 minutes later)
"Am I dead?" Sasuke couldn't help but ask.
"No ass, you're far from dead." Naruto said checking out his neck seeing his heaven mark purple "congradulations are in order though." he said pointing to his left wrist
"What the hell?" Sasuke said seeing he had a wrist device.
"You're the Thunder Ranger." Naruto said as he saw Sasuke had to power of four rangers "you'll learn how to use that thing with time come find me after this test we'll need to talk." he said to him "also if you're in a real bind say this Thunder Storm ranger form." he said to him.
"Thunder Storm ranger form?" Sasuke said as Naruto sighed as Sasuke did what he did.
Purple lightning shot out of Sasuke's morpher as he transformed.
Naruto saw Sasuke's ranger armor took on the appearance of the Navy Thunder ranger, but the armor was a dark purple color "listen practice and don't burn down the forest." he said running to tower.
(20 minutes later)
"You made Sasuke a ranger are you insane!" Shizuka said as that seemed like the worst idea imaginable "why, he's such and ass?" she asked him.
"If I didn't he might've died." Naruto said to them "plus you forget, we don't pick the power the power picks us." he said to her telling her about the time Sakura got shocked.
"What ranger powers did he get, he got both Thunder Rangers?" Haku asked him curiously.
"Mystic Force purple wolf ranger and Blue Samurai ranger." Naruto said to them.
"Purple wolf how is that possible?" Haku said knowing the red wolf ranger of the Mystic Force "the purple wolf was Koragg if I'm not mistaken." she said as she read her Mystic Force ranger history "Naruto every ranger has characteristics, Thunder were risk takers, blue Samurai was hard worker, but Koragg was evil a neutral evil, but still it doesn't paint a good look." she said as they entered the tower.
"Well at least we shattered a record 50 minutes." Shizuka said as she looked into it and apparently the record was a few hours.
(40 minutes later)
"Well, I may have some competition." Naruto said seeing Gaara's team arrive.
"You again." Gaara said looking at Naruto as something inside him told him he was dangerous.
"Clown boy 'fan' girl go take off." Naruto said raising his fingers and bending them when he said 'fan'.
"Go." Gaara said to them giving them a murderous look.
Naruto and Gaara waited till they were sure they were alone.
"So what should I call you, brother seems acurate." Naruto said to him "I mean, we both got something inside us." he said his eyes flashing red for a moment as after tapping into his tiger spirit, he tapped into the fox as well and he had been trying to get in contact as ever since his blood loss Zabuza told him that the tailed beast inside him was the most dangerous one of them all and if he was going to use it, he better make sure it was a last resort or he at the very least knew what he was doing.
Gaara was silent as he felt it in his bones that the person before him was like him.
"You and I both know there is something more going on here and I feel as if you're a part of it." Naruto said walking closer to him "let me be clear." he said as red energy surged around him "you don't want me as an enemy, the differences between our tailed beasts is to high and you know it, we can either be friends or enemies, because I know what it means to be burdened with this." he said raising his shirt showing his seal.
Gaara backed away slightly seeing that seeing the look of understanding "what do you mean by friend?" he asked as if it was a foreign concept.
"Well I never had a real friend till a couple years ago." Naruto said to him as he smiled remembering the day Iruka became his friend and was now to this day like his brother "so yeah as of right now, I'm your friend brother." he said walking away.
Gaara felt much confusion at that particular moment
(next day)
"Um is there something wrong with him?" Kankuro asked Temari as they looked at Gaara seeing him lost in thought which was off as he was usually insanely focused.
Temari, the bravest of the trio of siblings decided to ask him as he had yet to kill them "Gaara, are you ok?" she asked him.
"Naruto Uzumaki." Gaara said off handedly.
"What about him?" Kankuro asked as he was positive the guy wasn't much, but to be alone with Gaara and survive made him change that opinion fast.
"He called me brother." Gaara said making both his siblings choke on their own spit.
"Why?" Temari couldn't help but ask.
"He's like me." Gaara said as that scared them.
Temari and Kankuro didn't know what to say as that was a terrifying notion.
(next day)
"2 more days of this crap." Shizuka said as this was getting annoying.
Haku had to agree as this was torture.
Naruto chuckled at that as he was actually having fun as talking to Gaara was an experience "hey I'll talk to you guys later." he said to them as he left the room and like clockwork Gaara was outside waiting for him "you know…I've been looking at your seal and it's incomplete." he said as the seal Gaara had was meant for an object not a person 'no wonder he can't sleep his seal protects his body, but his mind is another story.' he thought as the seal was used on a tea pot where Shukaku was stored in between summonings.
"Will it stop the voices?" Gaara asked as he was unsure if he wanted them to stop or not.
"Possibly yes." Naruto said unsure of what Gaara's mental state was "give me a week and I'll have it fixed in no time." he said to him "I've been learning seals wanna see one, I really like." he said as he focused his power into his morpher and traced with his finger the kanji for fun.
Gaara saw all the confetti flying and let out a noise from his mouth unsure of what it was, but it felt nice.
(2 days later)
"Wow you all look like hell." Naruto said seeing the other teams arrive.
"When did you get here?" Shikimaru said seeing Naruto looked completely rested and unscathed by the nature outside the building.
"Under an hour." Naruto said as he then looked at Sasuke "how's it going thunder?" he asked him.
"It's been…ok." Sasuke said as it has been a bit weird for the moment.
"Listen I was serious we'll talk later." Naruto said to him as he got a nod in return.
(few minutes later)
"Use it if necessary, there are eyes here bud." Naruto said as Sasuke nodded.
Orochimaru was curious as he saw Sasuke's mark as it had turned purple instead of the traditional black.
"Can you materialize the weapons, if so use the thunder blade it's a dual spear that can break, use a smoke bomb." Naruto said as Sasuke nodded as he went to arena.
Sasuke saw his opponent and thought carefully 'don't think I have many options.' he thought as after Naruto saved him he had been using his ranger powers in secret and it was mostly guess work 'Thunder Blade.' he thought using a smoke bomb like Naruto told him.
"Whoa what is that?" Tenten asked with stars in her eyes examining the weapons.
"The Thunder Blade, but its best function is when-" Shizuka said as Sasuke seemed to also figure it out as he broke it in half "it splits in half." she said as she read on this particular weapon, she studied her ranger history and Sasuke was a threat as he had the thunder blaster and it acted as any ranger blaster.
Zabuza saw Sasuke with the broken spear "you know he is really good with that spear, elemental weapons are rather picky." he said to him as while his sword was inanimate it responded well to his chakra and knew that there were more weapons than others like a certain mist sword that responded better to certain chakra.
Kakashi took note of that "have you tested all their affinities?" he asked him.
"First day." Zabuza said as Haku's was obvious since she was ice which was made of wind and water, Naruto was the real surprised as he had a pretty powerful but even wind and fire combo, and Shizuka was a bit of a miss number as his paper was low quality and so far they only knew she had wind.
"I tried to have that added to curriculum with Iruka." Asuma said as he felt that would be a good chakra control excercise and it'd help their shinobi later on.
Zabuza respected Asuma a little more for that "what about your genin you test them?" he asked curiously.
"They know it, but aren't really testing and experimenting with them." Asuma said as Shikimaru had fire, Ino fire and earth, and Choji had wind and earth "they are learning things pertaining to their element so that's something." he said as Ino was developing a style with exploding tags and poisons, Choji was developing his speed to increase it with wind chakra.
Zabuza could respect that as it was better than what most ninja did, then not learn it at all "what about you?" he asked Kurenai.
"Yeah, that's a complicated question." Kurenai said as she did recommend it to her team, but Shino was cemented in using his clans techniques, Kiba had wind but it was taking longer given he was trying to train Akamaru with it, and Hinata was learning her water element and was creating her own style of gentle fist.
They all continued to talk about training and soon saw Sasuke had won.
Naruto rushed to his side and helped him up, he saw Kakashi walk up to him along with Anko "I got it." he said to them.
"Listen kid your friend needs medical help." Anko said to him firmly.
"I'm sure he's fine." Naruto said lifting him up flaring his tiger spirit for a moment as if to challenge them.
'Interesting.' Orochimaru thought as he sensed that and was getting more of an interest in the son of the fourth 'Kabuto told me of his grades and ability, either he was wrong or this boy has skyrocketed and has untapped potential.' he thought to himself deciding to keep an eye on Naruto
"Thanks." Sasuke said as they made it to the stairs.
"Hey rangers together." Naruto said seeing the irony since that was half of the Samurai ranger moto, he brought him to the other rangers and let him sit against the wall as he looked exhausted "can you fill him in." he said looking to Shizuka.
"Fine." Shizuka said giving him a look to send away the more curious people.
"Shino Aburame vs Haku Yuki." the next match was decided.
"Dead!" Zabuza said as Kurenai shot him a glare "ice vs bugs they either sleep or die." he said to her "hell if some bugs get to hot they die." he said to her.
Kurenai's glare lessened as she remembered Kiba saying he'd never go to hot springs as Shino made 'bug soup' and at first she thought he meant a dirty man joke, but he actually got her in a hot spring before she entered the bath and showed her Shino sitting in water and all his bugs out of his body 'still looked like a sex thing.' she said remembering how his face looked and how red it was.
Haku smiled behind her helmet and when the referee started the match "crystal ice mirrors." she said with a smirk her reflection appearing in all the mirrors.
Shino looked at all the reflections and sent out all his bugs to encase them.
"Not a bad strategy." Zabuza said hearing some cracking sounds "feeding on her ice mirrors." he said as he had heard about this clan and knew that they had members that feed off chakra 'but Haku has more than the average level of chakra.' he thought as while she was no jinchuriki she did posses a higher level then him at her age.
"Snow style snow torrent!" Haku yelled as she raised her snow staff and a white blast of snow shot out each mirror.
"Ugh I remember this." Naruto said as Haku used that on him as she was trying to use her new snow powers to be more effective.
"How does that technique work exactly?" Kiba asked walking over.
"She fires a blast of snow from each mirror and while inside it creates a contained vortex, it's like walking through a blizzard." Naruto said as Shino had no chance as while it was not deadly if one didn't get treatment they'd get permafrost or frostbite.
Haku ended her attack and saw Shino on the ground shivering his insects not moving much if at all.
Hayate called the match and a strecher took Shino away.
"Shizuka Uzumaki vs Kankuro." Hayate called out.
"Old man if you're trying to be funny I will paint your office orange and set up so many types of prank bombs you will go blind!" Naruto said to the third getting many laughs of pity for those who knew his panking nature.
"So you're married to that runt?" Kankuro asked with a laugh.
"Engaged actually and that runt seems to have bigger balls than you since you shit yourself at the mere mention of your brother's name." Shizuka said as that got some laughs.
"Hey, blondie pinkie, you see this, this is what real kunoichi look like my students are real ninja, all of you should take notes!" Zabuza said as his kids were crushing it so far 'threatening a kage, using a technique that could be fatal to opponents, and takes no shit…I love these kids.' he thought feeling so much pride at the moment.
"So you're a puppet user." Shizuka said taking out her ninja sword and her Nadeshiko blade "well are you going to take it out or are you to afraid to move." she said boredly.
"You're marrying her, dude I am so jealous." Kiba said as this girl was as tough as nails.
Naruto rolled his eyes and sat next to Sasuke "she fill you in on that?" he asked him looking at his morpher.
"Yeah, hard to believe." Sasuke said to him "mind giving me a hand with this?" he asked him curiously.
"Just so you are aware, she doesn't like you and if you train with her…you will bleed." Naruto said as he pointed to Shizuka as she was currently beating Kankuro into the ground as her Nadeshiko blade was reforged as during their training some puppet user kept trying to steal her, so Zabuza took her to a weapons guy in the leaf to change the metal in her Nadeshiko blade so it was capable of severing the strings of puppets 'damn thing cost an arm and a leg.' he thought to himself.
Sasuke got that as she threatened him if he hurt Naruto, his life was forfeit.
They both groaned when they heard Sakura and Ino be called in.
(10 minutes later)
"That was awful, you two should be ashamed." Zabuza said to Kakashi and Asuma as Kurenai had to agree "if these two got promoted as they are now they are dead, no way they could be real kunoichi." he said as while Ino had her clan that was it one technique as of now.
Both men said nothing at that.
Another match was called.
"Oh man another kunoichi fight, we should've gotten a mud arena, this'd be more interesting then." Zabuza said as Kurenai glared at him for that remark "glare all you want so far I've not seen one decent kunoichi that wasn't someone I trained." he said to her.
"You might wanna hold off on that Zabuza, that's my student and her youth is strong!" Gai said with a proud smile
(10 minutes later)
"I take it back, THOSE were some good kunoichi." Zabuza said as he respected Tenten's vast skill in weapons as it showed hard work something he respected, and Temari was as good as Shizuka 'wish she fought her and not that puppet jackass.' he thought as he had Shizuka get that as another form of defense.
Gai appreciated the sentiment.
(few minutes later)
"He forfeited." Zabuza said as Sai forfeited when his name was called "better this way." he said looking at Naruto.
Kakashi had to agree, but Naruto mentioned something to him about Orochimaru placing a seal on Sai 'I'll have the Hokage look at it.' he thought knowing that if Orochimaru tampered with Sai's seal it meant he could be the only root operative questioned, he sent the man a look and he had Anko take Sai to the medics.
"He just got handed the easiest match of his life." Asuma said as he sighed.
(few minutes later)
"Oh this is gonna be good." Zabuza said as he looked over the railings "c'mon blondie I wanna go home, send dog boy and puppy to the vet." he said as Kurenai glared at him "glare all you want my student is gonna win!" he said proudly "all my brats, chunin in a month's worth of training, goes to show who the real teacher is." he said as many of the other sensei rolled their eyes, but could not say anything since he did in fact have two of his students make it and his third was about to fight.
"Let's even it out." Naruto said as he glowed red and a tiger the size of a average sized dog "let's see if you can handle us." he said as he put on his Jungle Fury armor and took out his jungle chucks.
"You're student knows how to use nunchaku?" Gai asked Kakashi.
"He's my student Gai and I taught him." Zabuza said as while the sword was his primary weapon he did study some blunt weapons "and those chuks are insane." he said as Naruto's strong personality coarsed through those chucks along with his spirit making them more dangerous "and so the dogs died." he said to them seeing the small tiger.
"How did he summon that?" Kurenai asked him still looking at the tiger glaring at Akamaru.
Orochimaru's interest was peaked when he heard about the tiger being mentioned as when he sensed that ren energy Naruto let out it was similar to when he let out his killing intent as people often saw a snake when looking at him 'it's not sage chakra, but what?' he thought as after his body switching technique it made him lose some of the spiritual senses of sage, but not the physical ones.
"No idea." Zabuza said as they all sweatdropped even Orochimaru 'he might've materialized his animal spirit, but on a smaller scale.' he thought as Haku informed him on what was happening.
Kurenai was starting to have her doubts now as Kiba no longer had the numbers advantage and that tiger seemed to act on Naruto's command even with him not even saying anything to it.
"Begin." Hayate said as Naruto and Kiba didn't waste time and started going at each other.
"Are those the tiger arts?" Gai asked as being a taijutsu expert he knew many of the styles.
"Had to work with something." Zabuza said as he wasn't sure of the pai zhua arts as there was little he could make out from the ranger book.
"Cats and dogs." Kakashi said as many groaned from the poor but accurate joke.
"Fang over fang!" Kiba yelled making contact 'finally.' he thought to himself as when Naruto was wearing his shield from his previous armor he had doubts, but in this one it seemed meant for pure speed.
"Not bad Kiba!" Naruto said as his mask cracked as it disappeared showing he had a busted lip.
"The armor isn't perfect just so you are aware." Haku said to Sasuke "it offers protection, but it's not immune to all manner of attack, it can be more powered, but it depends on your will and your own strength." she said as the armor could lose it's own strength based on the rangers own spirit and body.
Sasuke thought that was good to know.
"Now lets see if you can handle this!" Naruto said as he began to roar along with his tiger.
Everyone had to cover their ears as that roar was loud and primal, but Kiba and Akamaru felt the full force and were sent to the wall.
Naruto felt his tiger return to his body 'crap that was hard.' he thought as while it was simple to make a small tiger materialize it was hard to maintain it and have it attack Akamaru 'I gotta learn to let this thing out more fluidly.' he thought as going through the motions was good, but he still didn't have the proper technique "shadow clone jutsu!" he said as he made 6 clones.
Everyone watched as 5 turned into different ranger forms while the non ranger Naruto kicked Kiba upward.
"PO-WER RAN-GERS BARRAGE!" Naruto said as each of them kicked Kiba very aggressively till he cracked the ground upon the final kick sent him down toward the ground.
"Yes!" Team Zabuza shouted.
"All my genin!" Zabuza said with a smile.
Naruto passed Gaara on the way and they both shared a look before he kept walking.
"Guess I'll be seeing you in the finals." Naruto said to his team and Sasuke.
"Yep." Haku said to him.
"Still gonna try and win it all?" Shizuka asked with a raised eyebrow and soon groaned as she saw him take out his spin sword.
Everyone looked at Naruto as he banged the sword on the metal rail
"Can I have your attention!" Naruto said with a smile not even slightly deterred "to all the participants that are in the finals or will be…I'm gonna win it!" he said with a smile.
Hiruzen smiled at Naruto's claim 'he's so much like his mother.' he thought remembering the girl that said she'd rebuild her entire clan and that she'd be the first female Hokage…and who threatened him on occasion whenever she saw him reading certain literature a certain toad sanin student of his wrote.
"Alright no." Shizuka said as she went up to him "I'm gonna win it and if you somehow beat me, you get your wedding night early." she said as that got many reactions.
"I'm so proud!" Zabuza said looking at Asuma drop the cigarette in his mouth, Kurenai seemed to be in shock and her student seemed in deep anger, and Kakashi looked unsure.
"I think you're forgetting me and WHEN I win-" Haku said looking at Naruto "I'll have a night of passion with you." she said as that got many reactions.
"Is it wrong that I'm so proud." Kakashi said to no one in particular.
"I honestly thought this was a crush." Zabuza said as this was more extreme than he thought.
"Alright so winner takes all, Ranger power!" Naruto said holding out his fist which they bumped easily enough.
"Ranger power!" Haku and Shizuka said proudly.
(20 minutes later)
"Let me go!" Naruto said as Zabuza was holding him back in a headlock "he's dead you hear me, DEAD!" he said to him and everyone in the room.
Hiruzen could hardly blame Naruto as even he was taken back by Neji's brutality on Hinata someone so innocent.
Kurenai felt under different circumstances Hinata would be estatic about the attention.
"Kill him in the tournament where it's legal!" Zabuza said to him making him calm down.
"Let me go now, I won't kill him…yet!" Naruto said to him as he was releashed and transformed into his red Mystic ranger mode and went to Hinata "Finishio!" he said firing it from his staff and some of her wounds healed "Haku!" he said calling for her aid.
Haku didn't waste time "Finishio!" she said with him.
"Again!" Naruto said as they fired it at her as more wounds disappeared.
They did it again, but with their fights they could only use it so much.
Neji scoffed "failures, guess they all flock together." he said many able to hear.
"Put him on a tight leash or I'll show him how I earned my name." Zabuza said to Gai as he'd kill Neji as while still new to the concept kindness, he at least was not callus enough to disrespect others or allies to this degree.
Gai sighed as Neji's attitude was getting out of hand.
Naruto took her hand and the palm of his hand glowed.
'What is that?' Orochimaru thought seeing the rainbow light in Naruto's hand despite how well he hid it.
Kakashi, Hiruzen, and Zabuza noticed it as well.
'Idiot, in public!' Zabuza thought to himself.
"An another ninja ranger." Shizuka said seeing a blue wind morpher appear on her wrist.
Kurenai saw Hinata's wounds disappear and was very appreciative.
(30 minutes later)
"Gai I wouldn't kick a man while he's down…but Neji's dead." Zabuza said as Naruto pulled a one and Neji a two.
"Sasuke will be fighting Haku." Kakashi said seeing his student taking a 3 and Haku a 4.
"Wind vs wind." Asuma said as he was gonna love this match between Shizuka and Temari.
"Leaving." Kurenai said looking at Shikimaru and Gaara.
"Listen close." Naruto said once again getting everyone's attention as Naruto glared at Neji "better start making a will, because you're leaving that ring in a body bag." he said as his eyes glowed a bright green.
Everyone was on edge as they felt something primal, something so powerful it made everyone feel a sense of terror and dread if that it was pointed at them.
'What is this!?' Neji thought afraid to use his byakugan to see what this was.
Naruto walked out of the building.
"Let him cool off." Zabuza said to the other two people on his team.
(next day)
"I may be a little hungover, but is he glowing?" Zabuza asked as he was proud of his genin making it to the finals and got smashed last night, but now that he woke up he saw Naruto outside the Uzumaki home.
"Yep." Haku said as right after the preliminaries, he took some food pills and began training "he's trying to use the sword of darkness." she said to him.
Zabuza was now concerned as that sword sounded incredibly powerful strong enough to rival the likes of his sword and the others of it nature 'it'd be an incredible weapon to have.' he thought as he'd have three blades 'and each blade is dangerous as the last.' he thought to himself as he felt the power Naruto unleashed yesterday 'we'd be screwed if he is able to summon that thing.' he thought as no one was able to handle the dragon zord.
They both saw Shizuka walk in "Hinata is gonna be fine and I filled her in on." she said showing her wrist.
"Really no fight, heard that girl was love sick for Naruto?" Zabuza asked her.
"Oh she is, she told me and she is going to ask Naruto to marry her." Shizuka said as both ninja from the land of water did a spit take.
"Man, no one even tested him out and all of you want a piece." Zabuza said wondering if he was still drunk.
"Sensei he does have his charms, he's spirited, handsome, hardworking, and he's kind." Haku said as she never met a ninja like Naruto before.
"And it doesn't hurt he has a lot of muscles." Shizuka said as Naruto trained shirtless and it was amazing to see.
"You know when I was younger, I always wanted to be surrounded by women and yet they are to young and fawning over someone else." Zabuza said as he chuckled "I'm not changing any diapers or babysitting." he said to them as he walked off.
(1 hour later)
"Been a while since I used a bow." Sasuke said as he examined his Hydro Bow.
"Might be a little temper mental since you don't have the water element." Naruto said as Sasuke could learn the water element, despite his chakra was a strong lightning and fire.
Sasuke wanted to learn about his other ranger powers and so far he and Naruto were learning the Samurai rangers powers.
"Seals aren't your thing so, maybe stick to the combat part of it." Naruto said as he gave Sasuke some notes he took and Sasuke asked him if he was writing another language.
Sasuke agreed as having a weapon that was a sword and a bow was extremely useful.
"Now how's the thunder rangers power working for you?" Naruto asked him.
"Not gonna lie it's pretty perfect." Sasuke said as it was incredibly natural to him along with the weapons.
"Word of advice learn to use a bo staff, you were kinda iffy on using the spear before you broke it." Naruto said as Sasuke begrudgingly agreed with that.
"So you and I are gonna meet in the semi finals." Sasuke said to him.
"You think you can win against Haku?" Naruto asked as that seemed a little over confident even for him.
"Maybe." Sasuke said as it excited him, but the real challenge was gonna be Naruto and Gaara.
"If by some miracle you were to beat me, that bow is your only chance to fight Gaara." Naruto said as the hydro bow was perfect for fighting Gaara's sand as it put it's distance between them and it was water which made his sand heavier.
Sasuke had to agree on that as he was planning on learning with Kakashi to learn a signature jutsu he had, but came to Naruto to learn more about the rangers and did he ever learn "can I ask why your clan had this scroll?" he asked him curiously.
"No clue, best guess I got is they tap into the grid or there was an annomoly where my clan sealed it in a scroll and maybe the ranger energy worked itself out somehow." Naruto said as that was his best guess.
Sasuke had to admit from the randomness of the rangers that seemed like a good a guess as any "anyway I gotta go and Naruto…thanks." he said as despite their rivalry he knew Naruto and he had a lot more respect for each other than the other was willing to admit.
Naruto nodded as he saw him take off.
(3 days later)
Naruto was in a very sacred spot of the leaf, a battle ground of two titans battled, The Valley of The End.
'This may be suicide, even for me.' Naruto thought as he needed to tap deeper into his ranger powers and he felt it's presence more than once, he was going to summon the dragon zord.
Naruto began playing the musical tunes of the legendary beast as loud as the dagger could.
(1 hour later)
"The hell am I doing this isn't working…maybe the zords aren't even here." Naruto said lying in the middle of the lake "I needed a day off and learning to play the flute wasn't bad." he said able to play a few more tunes on this.
As Naruto laid on the eerily calm water…he was unaware of the danger that lied beneath him as crimson eyes were starring at him.
'Huh?' Naruto thought as he began to spin and before he knew it he was caught in a whirlpool.

"Crap am I dead?" Naruto asked himself finding himself in a sewer like place.
Naruto fell as he felt a rumble and regained his balance.
"Come." a loud booming voice said calling out to Naruto, it ccarried power and respect.
Naruto started to walk feeling it be a bad idea not to, he saw the water begin to glow green and decided that was a good sign…he hoped as this place still looked like a sewer.
"So, you are the heir to a dynasty a legacy beyond your understanding!" the voice said as if judging him.
"Let me take a wild guess, the dragon zord." Naruto said as he remained as calm as possible and soon the area around him changed as the walls broke around him and soon he was shown the colossal titan.
"Are you worthy!" the dragon zord demanded wanting his answer.
Naruto calmed his nerves "I don't know." he said hearing the beast scoff in disgust/
"So weak willed." the dragon zord said until he felt his dagger thrown at his face.
"I said I don't know." Naruto said as he glared at the beast "but I will always try my best to live up to the legacy left behind by my predecessor and be as good a ranger as Tommy Oliver was, he is a hero and left a legacy, I will honor that legacy by doing my best and honoring what it means to be a ranger and a ninja." he said to him.
The dragon zord looked at him and seemed pleased by his mettle "Naruto Uzumaki…you ARE worthy, Tommy Oliver could not have picked out a more perfect heir for the green ranger power." it said as it was pleased by Naruto's spirit "now it is time for you to learn the truth about your ranger heritage, you have done well in this short time of wielding your ranger powers, but if you truly wish to honor the ranger powers you have, it is time to learn more about Naruto Uzumaki." the dragon zord said as it shrank and took on the form of Tommy Oliver "being a ranger is learning about yourself as well child, and I will teach you." he said to him "your blood carries a legacy of itself, masters of the blades, master of symbols, master of the spirit." he said as he did his own searching into Naruto's family and saw the boy's family left quite the legacy of its own.
Naruto froze at the mention of his family.
The dragon zord's gaze weakened as it knew this particular ranger had the hardest of beginings and even his mask cracked with what he experienced, but it made him all the more worthy and showed that despite all his pain and suffering, he chose to be the person he was now and chose to forge his own path.
(next day)
The dragon zord was making Naruto take calligraphy lessons as his hand writing was average at best 'he's dedicated.' he thought proudly liking this side of his host 'he's had little success with his Mystic Force and Dino Thunder.' he thought as Naruto had a good grip on Mighty Morphin and Jungle Fury 'if he learns sealing better he'll be able to master Samurai faster.' he thought thinking Samurai would be easiest for Naruto given his linage 'Tommy knew Dino Thunder so teaching him will be simple.' he thought as both Mighty Morphin and Dino Thunder were similar.
Naruto was tired as the dragon zord had him writing symbols of various sizes to challenge him.
"Fail, do it again." dragon zord said to him as he kept his opinion unbiased as while Naruto's writing improved, he wanted better from him, wanting him to succeed and stand above all others ranger or otherwise.
Naruto began again and again
(3 hours later)
"Passable." the dragon zord said as he saw another "now write symbols until you are exhausted." he said seeing Naruto write symbols for fire, wind, fun, horse, and whatever else his mind could come up with.
(20 minutes)
'Crap, he lasted longer than I thought.' the dragon zord thought looking at an unconscious Naruto 'he used rapid symbols, if he learned more about his clan's art this will be a dangerous skill.' he thought as he picked Naruto up and made him comfortable 'now the hard part.' he thought as he entered Naruto's mind and walked to a cage "we gonna do this or are you gonna lie and wait." he said to beast behind the cage.
"If it isn't the pet, where's your leash?" the nine tailed fox said to the Tommy Oliver form of the dragon zord.
"Funny, but I am no one's pet." the dragon zord said as he did what he wanted and what he wanted was to help his ranger as he made him proud by honoring his previous ranger "and only one of us is in a cage." he said with a chuckle.
"What do you want?" the nine tailed fox asked him.
"I saw Naruto's memories and he accessed his animal spirit, I was surprised he had a tiger spirit truly, but also a fox spirit." the dragon zord said as to his knowledge there was never a person in pai zhua who accessed two spirits at once "I want you to help him." he said his eyes glowing green.
"And why should I help that brat at all." the nine tailed fox said finding this ludicrous.
"Because like me you find him interesting." the dragon zord said as he was sure the boy caught his eye
"Bah, pathetic brat is no better than the other hairless apes and that screaming bitch mother of his!" the nine tails said as the dragon zord glared at him and his form changed from Tommy Oliver to it's original form.
"I want you to know this chage is the only thing separating us from trading blows and you know how powerful I am and what I can do." the dragon zord said fully aware it could read Naruto's memories "so I'd be in no rush to get out because when you do, I will avenge Naruto for the rest of your life and kill you and everytime you come back I get to kill you again." it said letting out a small huff of smoke.
The nine tails knew this was no bluff and he could back up what he said, he just turned away and ignored his fellow colossus.
(next day)
"If you're gonna spy, then don't do it with someone who can literally sense you." the dragon zord said as Naruto slept on the ground so unconscious he wasn't picking up on the conversation "also you're covered in women's perfume." he said not mentioning the other thing he sensed out of respect for his ears..
A man with a spiky white main came out.
"If you're here for the kid, you are going to be disappointed." the dragon zord said not knowing who the hell this was.
"Who are you?" the man asked more accurately demanded.
"Where I come from you introduce yourself first, but I'll start I'm Tommy Oliver and this is my student who I've been training for the last few days, so kindly fuck off and if you want to start something please give me a reason to kill you." the dragon zord said flashing his eyes at him.
(1 hour later)
"So, he's training with you?" Jiraiya asked as they sat by a fire.
"Yep." 'Tommy' said as he talked to the sannin "so you just want him to sign the toad contract." he said as that was all he got out of the man this past hour as Jiraiya was fishing for information on who he was, but he gave him nothing.
"I hear he's a shoe-in for the tournament." Jiraiya said as he heard of the intense training he was getting from Zabuza.
The dragon zord had to admit he liked Zabuza as Kakashi while having the right idea of ranger fundamentals didn't properly prepare his students "he will win." he said surely "that I know for sure." he said as he walked over to Naruto and dumped water on him.
Naruto choked and woke up.
"We're done with seals for now, you're average." Tommy said as he thought Naruto had decent enough calligraphy skills "your blade skills are chunin." he said as Naruto's aim with kunai was better and Kakashi's scroll truly helped Naruto get better with the dragon dagger and learn a sword style for his spin sword since the tanto and katana sword we're similar "and your ninjutsu and chakra control have improved." he said as mystic force truly helped with chakra control as that was simple and helped Naruto learn more control "and your taijutsu should be above quality." he said as Naruto was always fighting with his fists when not with his weapons.
Jiraiya was no fool, he saw that Tommy was being intentionally vague.
"So all you need to do is work on your speed and stealth." Tommy said as that was all that was left to cover as Naruto still couldn't effortlessly use his dino gem powers 'his body is growing into it steadily.' he thought to himself "ok pervert give it to the kid." he said as he walked away.
Jiraiya watched as Tommy walked away and soon disappear from his sense "so kid who is that?" he asked Naruto.
"This new person called none of your damn business." Naruto said simply as when 'Tommy' disappeared he didn't really and told him to be cautious around him "and I don't know who you are, so go fish somewhere else." he said to him "what were you gonna give me anyway.".
Jiraiya understood loyalty, but he also knew it could be used against a person, he was going to do a little more digging later on.
