It's a lovely day in the neighborhood, where Steve and Peggy dance to their classic 50's solos. It's been a rough delivery of Infinity Stones that deserved a bit of love after so much sacrifice. Outside Peggy's house an orange portal opens up, and two men in suits enter the scene.
MOBIUS: I bet you a round of pies that Captain Rogers will punch you in the left eye.
The men ring at Carter's house, and Captain Rogers opens the door after looking through the peephole, and hits Loki in his right eye. Loki falls a bit hard, and activates his tem-pad. Both Loki and Cap rewind a bit in time, and this time, when Steve opens the door, he holds his fist high but doesn't hit, while Loki covers himself with his hands.
STEVE ROGERS: What's going on here?
MOBIUS: Time Variance Authority. We'd like to recruit you.
STEVE ROGERS: I'm retired; but please come in.
Loki and Mobius drink coffee together with Steve and Peggy, while watching a TV report.
IMMORTUS: Today we celebrate the anniversary of the quenching of the uprising of the Avenger Stephen Strange. A vigilante that's against the Law and Order. Today, in the Kingdom of Transylvania we commemorate the loss of our beloved vampires at the hand of this sinister vigilante.
Peggy Carter shuts down the TV, looking in disgust.
MOBIUS: That man is the time criminal we want you to stop, Captain.
LOKI: He's worse than a criminal, he's a conqueror. He's spreading the Avengers thin, and killing one by one in isolation. I need to assemble them back, so the Earth might have a chance.
STEVE: Why the heroics, Loki?
LOKI: A war is coming, as with Thanos.
STEVE: Look, I'm retired. Ask Samuel Wilson. He's the new Captain America.
MOBIUS: I have his data. We can go.
LOKI: Farewell, Captain.
Loki and Mobius open an orange portal and go through it. Then, the portal disappears.
PEGGY: Are you sure you did right?
STEVE: Yes. I could have never sacrificed myself like Tony did. The Avengers need a new leader. It's time for new blood.
