"How are things going with Wills? Are you guys doing ok?" Adam asked as he passed Matt a coffee as they watched Jasmine, Ruby and Nevaeh playing together. "We're getting there. Wills is doing so much better since leaving Haytham. Shes starting to believe in herself again, even though she was throwing up all last night" Matt replied as Adam asked "she ok?" "Shes scared its the cancer coming back. Im sure its just a virus. She wont admit it but shes still nervous that Haytham is out looking for her" Matt replied taking a sip of coffee, glancing at his watch. "Wills knows that we've got her back. Always have, always will" Adam said as Matt nodded. "Its almost three thirty. Im getting worried that i havent heard anything from Wills yet." he said as Adam said "Why dont you call her? I dont mind watching the girls for a few minutes" "Thanks Ads. I'll be two minutes" Matt said as he dialled Willows number, walking to a quieter part of the park. The call rang out, going to Willows voicemail Somethings wrong, i can feel it. Wills always answers even when shes feeling bad Matt thought to himself as he headed back to Adam. "Somethings wrong. She didnt pick up, the call just rang out. I need to go check on her" Matt said as he called over his daughters. "Im coming with you. That way, if you need to go get her checked out, you can head straight off" Adam replied as Nevaeh ran over to him as they left the park.
"Wills? WILLS!" Matt called out as they entered the house ten minutes later, seeing his love unconcious on the floor. Running over to her, he turned her over, making sure she was breathing. "Wills, baby wake up. Come on, please wake up" he said quietly as Adam entered with the girls. "Matt what..." "Keep the girls out of here for now. I need to get her to hospital" Matt said as Willow began to stir. "Hey Wills, what happened?" he said to her as she groaned "Matty? I dont...i dont remember. What happened?" "Stay here for two minutes, im going to get Adam to watch the girls while i take you to hospital. I want to get you checked out" Matt said as Willow grabbed her abs. "You ok?" he asked as Willow nodded. "Go tell Ads, i'll quickly pack a bag incase they want me to stay overnight" she said as she went to stand up. "Stay right there. I'll go grab some stuff for you" Matt said as Adam came into the living area. "Girls are having a snack and a juice. Is she ok?" he asked as Matt walked over to him. "Shes not great. I know this is a huge ask but..." "I'll take the girls. No need to ask Matt, i'll explain things to Ames" Adam interrupted as Matt said "Thanks Ads, youre the best. Im just going to go grab a few bits just incase they want to keep her in overnight" before heading upstairs. "Wills, you ok? Do you want me to grab you anything from the kitchen?" Adam asked as Willow moved to the sofa. "Maybe some water, i still feel shaky" she replied quietly as Adam rushed off to grab her a water, returning a few minutes later, as Matt came down the stairs. "Ready to go Wills?" he asked as she nodded. "Ads why dont you guys all stay here? Just get Ames to come over, might be easier that way" Matt suggested as Adam nodded, as Matt held Willow up as they left the house.
"Wheres momma and dada going Adam?" Jasmine asked as Adam returned to the kitchen. "Your mom isnt feeling well so dad is taking her to the hospital just to get checked out. Dad will call later, but for tonight im staying here with you guys and Amy" Adam replied as Jasmine held her arms out for a hug, which Adam gave. "Shall we go watch a movie in the other room while we wait for Amy?" he asked as all the girls headed into the living area, where he followed behind, quickly texting Amy to come over.
"Wills, stay awake. We're almost there" Matt said as he glanced at Willow who was almost passed out once again. "Matty it hurts. It feels like...but it cant be" she said mumbling as Matt pulled up to the hospital. "We're here Wills. Lets get you inside. Lets get you to Beth" Matt jumped out of the car, ran round to the passenger side, carried Willow out of the car and into the hospital where they were greeted by Dr Beth Britt. "Matt whats going on?" she asked as she ushered them into a room. "No idea Beth. She was throwing up all night, complaining of abdominal pain. Found her unconcious at the bottom of the stairs fourty five minutes ago. We came straight here. She thought it might be the cancer returning" Matt said as he placed Willow on the bed. "Shes been drifting in and out in the car" "Lets get her on a drip. Shes definitley dehydrated and then i'll get an ultrasound going. Do you want me to call Haytham?" Beth asked as Willow replied weakly "no. Dont call him. We broke up on the day of the wedding and he cant seem to get the hint" "Ok , are you comfortable Willow?" Beth asked as she inserted the IV into Willows arm as Willow nodded, reaching for Matt who immediatley grabbed her hand. "Hey it'll be ok Wills. Youre going to be fine" he said as Beth brought the ultrasound machine over. "Fuck thats cold" Willow said, shivering as Beth applied the gel to Willows abdomen. "Lets have a look at whats going on with you" Beth said as she began moving the transducer around. "So its definitley NOT cancer" she said as she paused at a certain point. "You hear that noise? Thats a heartbeat" she said as Willow looked at her confused. "Beth whats going on? Please tell me" she asked quietly as Beth turned the screen around. "Youre pregnant Willow. Nine months to be exact and id say he or she is coming tonight"
Youre pregnant the words echoing in Willows head. "Wills? Wills talk to me" Matt said, who was in just as much shock as Willow. "How? Ive not had any symptoms or signs of pregnancy" she said quietly as Dr Britt replied "Its not uncommon, but it is highly unusual not to have any symptoms. Do you know who the father is? I know you two were separated last year" "Its mine. It has to be. Nine months ago i went to the UK to find Wills. Nine months ago was..." Matt said as Willow interrupted "My birthday. The first night we slept togther in almost a year. It has to be Matts" "Im going to go see if theres a bed in maternity, it'll give you two a chance to figure things out. I'll be back soon to check on you" Beth said as she exited the room, leaving Matt and Willow alone, neither of them knowing what to say.
"Matt... i swear i didnt know" Willow said quietly after ten minutes of them sitting in silence. "I know Wills. Its a shock for both of us, but at the same time its almost like its a fresh start for all of us. All five of us." he replied as he held her hand. "Im scared, nervous but also happy ive got you here" she said as she felt another contraction. It only lasted a few seconds but the pain must have shown on her face. "You ok?" Matt asked as Willow took a deep breath. "Just a contraction. There still quite far apart so if this one is anything like his or her sisters then we're in for a long night" she replied as she placed her head on the pillow. "Why dont you try and get some sleep Wills? I'll call Adam, let him know youre in overnight. I wont say why. I'll be five minutes tops" Matt said as Willow nodded. "Actually while youre out there, do you mind grabbing me a soda? I could really use some sugar in me" she replied as Matt left the room, closing her eyes as he did.
Willow awoke a few hours later with the most painful contraction. "Hey Wills, whats going on? I heard you were in here" she heard a voice say, making her freeze in the bed. "Haytham? What are you doing here? Get out!" She yelled as she pulled her hand away from his, which shocked him. "Willow! What are you doing? Im your fiance!" he said as Willow shook her head. "No. No youre not. I left you because you are married to FOUR women. You were abusive, you took advantage of me. You dont care or respect me" she shouted as Matt and Dr Britt entered the room. "Call security" Matt whispered to Beth who hurriedly left. "You heard her Haytham, get out. Leave Willow alone. Shes made it perfectly clear she doesnt want you here" Matt said as he strode over to Willows side. "I knew she was with you" Haytham snarled at Matt, who didnt back down. "Better than being with an abusive piece of shit like you" he replied before adding "You really need to go Haytham. Cant you see youre stressing her out?" "Is this really what you want Willow?" Haytham asked, hoping his ex would give him one more chance. "It is Haytham. Now please, just leave me alone" Willow sobbed, tears flowing down her face as security entered the room, escorting Haytham away. As he left, Willow broke down as Matt held her. "Its ok Wills, hes gone. This time for good" he said as Willow felt another contraction coming. "Its almost 11pm, maternity is waiting for you Willow" Dr Britt said as she reentered the room with a wheelchair. "Lets give you one last check over before we go up" Beth said as she checked Willows dilation. "Almost seven centimetres. Wont be much longer till this ones here. Id say four, five hours max" "Thanks Beth. Why has every birth ive had been eventful?" Willow said as she moved into the wheelchair. "Jas ended up with a C section, Rubes with my cancer, this one being a surprise and Haytham turning up" she said as Matt squeezed her hand. "I cant help but have noticed, you two seem to be close and looking very coupley" Beth said as they entered the elevator. "We have decided to give us another go Beth. Being with Matt makes me and the girls so happy. Hes been there since day one" Willow replied as she felt another contraction. "And being with Wills and the girls, it just makes sense and feels right"
"Come one Willow, just a few more pushes" the Midwife said a few hours later as Willow pushed, despite being exhausted. "Wills, youre doing so good baby" Matt said as he brushed her hair off her face. "Youre almost there. We've got the head" he added as Willow let out a scream of pain. "I swear to fucking God Matt, this is the last one" she said panting after another push. "At least youre here this time" she added as she gripped onto his hands. "Youre doing so good Willow. Almost there, one more push and baby will be here" the midwife said as Willow said "I cant. I cant do it" "Yes you can Wills. You can because i know you can" Matt said as Willow felt the last contraction building up. "I love you Wills, now push" he said as Willow gave one final push as she felt the tiny body leave hers. Collapsing back on to the bed, hearing the tiny cries of the new human they had created. "Congratulations, you have a healthy baby girl" the midwife said as she passed Willow her third daughter. "Another girl who is your double" Willow said as she cradled her, Matt joining her on the bed. "Shes perfect. You are amazing Wills" he said as he kissed her forehead. "Got any names in mind?" he asked as Willow shook her head. "She was born 2:14 am on 2/14. Middle name Valentine or Valentina?" she asked as Matt nodded "Its a perfect fit. How about Ever as her name? After both our grandmothers being Everlyn and Everly?" he suggested as Willow smiled. Shed always loved her Gran Everly and was close with her, right up to her death when Willow was seventeen. "Its perfect Matt. Gran was the only one in the family who didnt give a fuck i was adopted and was always there for me. So hi Ever Valentina, youre named after some amazing women" Willow said as Ever began to feed for the first time. "Can we keep this between us for a while Matt? No social media posts, no telling anyone until we've told the girls. Then we'll tell them all together" Willow asked, as she yawned. "Why dont you get some sleep when shes finished feeding Wills? I can pop home, grab some more stuff before we leave?" Matt said as Willow nodded. "I think shes almost done. Can you take her for a few so i can get settled?" she asked as Matt held his daughter, placing her in the crib next to Willows bed. "Get some sleep Wills, i'll be back in an hour" he said as he kissed Willow "I love you" "I love you too Matt" Willow replied as she closed her eyes and drifted into a sleep.
"Hey, almost ready to go?" Matt asked as he reentered the room where Willow was feeding their newborn, Ever. "Im ready. Beth just wants to come give me one final ok then we can can leave. Are we heading to my place?" she replied as Matt nodded, just as there was a knock on the door. "Hey you three. Everything ok?" Beth asked as she entered the room. "Hey Beth come on over. There is someone we'd love for you to meet" Matt said as Willow held her "say hi to Ever Valentina. Two fourteen this morning" she said as Beth took her for a small cuddle. "She is gorgeous and tiny" Beth said as Matt took her so Beth could give Willow the once over. "No more nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness?" Dr Britt asked as Willow shook her head. "All gone. I will take it easy and rest. Matts going to be staying with me for a while" she replied as Matt added "i am. I dont go back on the road for another two weeks" "I have no issues with letting you go home. Just make sure you and Ever are back for a check up before Matt leaves ok" Beth said as she went off to get the discharge papers. "I just want to get out of here Matt. Take a hot shower and chill with my favourite people" Willow said as Matt placed Ever into the carry seat. "Want me to get the girls this afternoon? Or save them till tomorrow?" he asked as he picked up the carrier. "Tomorrow i think. We still have some stuff to figure out" Willow replied as she slipped her hand into his as they left the hospital as a trio.
