Chapter 13: Becoming A Family (II)
"Oh, yeah," Katie said smiling. "That's when Jonathan told you all to just go ahead and have sex already, isn't it?"
Angela immediately burst out laughing. "It was shocking at the time, but I have to admit thinking about it now, it really is funny. Jonathan, did you have any idea what you were actually asking?"
A deep blush had crept into Jonathan's cheeks as he thought back to how he had set his mom and Tony up on a date with the ulterior motive being to have them get married so that Tony wouldn't leave like his dad had done.
"No," he said with a slight shake of his head as his mouth twitched. "I didn't know what sex was exactly; only that Grandma made reference to it a lot!"
"So, we know how and why Jonathan set you up and that you came clean when you got home, but what actually happened on the date?" Sam asked arching her eyebrow.
Angela intertwined her hand with Tony's and brought it up to her lips for a quick kiss to his knuckles before taking a deep breath saying,"Well, you all already know we were both shocked at first when we realized that someone had set the two of us up. But, once we thought it was Michael, we had a really nice time. To be honest, it turned out to be a nice night out of the house without kids or…"
"Or an interfering mother," Tony interjected with a shake of his head. "Honestly, guys, it was all pretty innocent, probably more innocent than what you're thinking, now that you know a little bit more about how we actually felt back then."
"Tony," Angela said. "I think they're old enough to hear about what happened before we got home that night…"
A/N: The next chapter isn't canon, but it's what I've always imagined could have happened and then, like a lot of things between Tony & Angela, was never openly discussed again. ;)
