Chapter 1388
Missing Part
Allison wanted to ask about Vanna. She actually expected to see her after she'd left John. She wanted to see how it went. She wanted to ask her what it was like. She knew Vanna was afraid she would freeze up. She didn't think Vanna would. She knew Vanna wanted to try it at least one time like she wanted to do herself. Like Vanna, she felt there was a difference as to what was done to you without a choice, and what you did on your own.
John picked Allison up and carried her from the dressing room into the bedroom. He set her on her feet next to the bed. He made a point of not putting her in the bed. He'd done the same for Vanna. He wanted to give them the choice to get in, or not, on their own.
Allison was pleased with the gesture.
"I appreciate the personal touch." Allison said. "I think it was sweet."
She looked at the open bed. It called to her. She'd just been with Leticia and she was ready to go right now. Leticia took care of all the foreplay and got her there a few times already. It made her wonder if it was going to be anti-climatic. She was ready to find out. She still didn't think it could top how a Metal girl could make her feel.
John straightened the bed a little. When he looked back, Allison slipped her robe off and tossed it off to the side. He thought she looked beautiful. She looked just like Cameron, even if Cameron actually looked just like Allison.
"You look stunning." John said.
Allison smiled at him. She looked down at herself. She didn't think she was going to win any beauty contests.
"I know I can't compare in appearance to some of the others who 'look' like me." Allison said.
John thought it didn't matter. Allison was a knockout.
"You're beautiful just the way you are." John said.
They moved closer and embraced.
They both liked the way they felt in each other's arms.
Before John knew it, Allison slipped his shorts down and he stepped out of them. It seemed to be a pretty good indication she was ready for a little more. It also revealed he was already 'up' to the task.
"I guess I can skip the part about needing to 'start you up'." Allison said with a smile. "I can see you're ready."
Allison was actually glad everything was good to go. She didn't look forward to the 'start up' procedure for some reason. Maybe it was something one needed to acquire a taste for.
John looked down and smiled. He was glad he was ready again. The espresso Cameron made him drink earlier really seemed to make things happen. He was still unaware Cameron administered a little 'help' along with the drink.
Allison pressed herself up against John and put her arms around his neck. She leaned forwards to kiss him.
"I've waited a long time for this." Allison whispered. "It's been far too long."
John was painfully aware of all the times he'd turned her down in the future. He now believed it was a mistake. All those times should have happened. He also knew if it would have happened, he would have been madly in love with Allison. It would have been very awkward with 'Cameron' looking over his shoulder in Bob's chassis. He knew Cameron would feel very betrayed. He'd already done it to her once with Future Riley. Now here it was just the opposite. Cameron was the one who wanted them to share.
"I have too." John said. "I just want to say we'll do whatever you're comfortable with and we can stop or start at any point in time for whatever reason. You're the one in control here. Don't be afraid to say something. I'm cool with anything, even if nothing happens."
Allison looked into John's eyes. She liked how he presented what would happen. Right now she felt anything but cold feet. She was 'hot to trot'.
"I need to tell you I'm really ready right now." Allison said.
John smiled. Vanna had been too. It just took her a little bit to get comfortable.
"Do you want to be on the bottom or the top or any other position?" John asked. "We'll do whatever you feel comfortable with."
Allison looked down at John and gently pushed him back onto the bed. She climbed up on top of him. She started to face away from him but turned around.
"I want you to see ME." Allison said.
Allison positioned herself over him.
John wondered if it would be a 'slow ride' or a 'bucking bronco'. He was in for either one. He was also aware she may freeze up.
Allison giggled a little.
"At least I don't need to worry about getting pregnant." Allison joked. "I already am, and it's your baby. Now I get to do the missing part of the procedure."
John could feel Allison's hand touch him.
John was very excited right now too. He really wanted this.
"Take it." John whispered.
Allison looked into his eyes as she scooted back some more and started to lower herself down. She let out a small gasp.
"Oh, John…." Allison said as she drew in her breath.
Gail-Cam listened for when Vanna was ready to leave the Owner's Suite. CamNet gave her a last minute update.
She left Holly in charge of Mary and Laura and threw on a robe and went to get Vanna. She thought Allison would meet her afterwards. It didn't work out that way.
She guessed Allison wanted to form her own opinion as to what would happen with John and her and not be influenced by Vanna's experience. It was up in the air as to what Vanna's experience would be. She wasn't even sure there would be an experience. She was afraid Vanna would 'fold'. She did recommend to Vanna she should try it. She'd related how special her experience was, even if Cameron was the one in control.
Vanna was very excited. She quickly told Gail-Cam about what happened and what they'd done.
It was a little different than Gail-Cam imagined it would be.
"Do you want to go back to the Master Suite?" Gail-Cam asked.
Vanna knew Allison was with Leticia while she was in with John.
"I'd like to be with Leticia." Vanna said. "You don't think she'll mind, do you? You know what I mean."
Cam-Gail was with Leticia right now.
"I think she's good to go for anything at this point." Gail-Cam said. "She is highly aroused."
Vanna gave Gail-Cam a long kiss.
"I want to be with her first." Vanna said. "Then you can join us after either one, or both of us, finishes twice."
Gail-Cam carried Vanna down to the suite Leticia was in with Cam-Gail. Leticia was breathing heavily after a real work out by Cam-Gail. Gail-Cam set Vanna down and went into the adjoining suite where Holly worked on both Mary and Laura.
Vanna stripped off her robe and climbed in bed next to Leticia.
Leticia seemed instantly rejuvenated when she saw it was Vanna, who she knew as 'Ann'.
Vanna thought Leticia reminded her a lot of Jesse. She was all over her in an instant. Before she could say anything, Leticia started in on her. Her head lifted for a second. She started back in with a renewed intensity. There was no doubt about it. THIS is what Vanna liked. The girls quickly reposition themselves. She started in on Leticia. Everything was mutual. It seemed to increase both of their intensity.
Frank parked the van near Golden Gate Park and walked in. It was a very big park. He went to the spot where the earlier altercation took place. He viewed the drone images of the different gang members who were involved. He didn't see any of them around at this point.
He made a sweep of the surrounding area. None of the gang was spotted. He went and checked on the group of homeless men who'd ventured out. It appeared most of them were drunk or passed out on drugs at this point. He thought about passing through the center of their area with his silenced M9 and ending their suffering and misery. It wasn't his assignment. He made one wider sweep on his way back to the van.
It was quiet for now. He would be back tomorrow or one of the team would be. Sheila was very adamant the park 'belonged' to her now.
As he approached the van, he spotted several 'taggers'. It bothered him. He didn't like all the unnecessary property damage, for no reason. He felt it was his civic duty to help curtail it. He looked around and drew his silenced M9. He made sure no one was looking. He took careful aim and fired twice.
The two taggers were shocked and surprised as the spray cans they each held, exploded in their hands and showered them with paint. He saw both of them reach up to their faces. They screamed in pain as the paint coated their faces and went into their eyes.
He moved on to the van. He didn't think they would be doing much more 'tagging' tonight. There was some time to kill. He checked in with Jim on the ship. He wasn't needed yet to pick up the team. He moved the van to a new location. He would wait awhile and then make another sweep of the park. He would look for additional targets this time as well as the specific targets.
He hoped to find some more taggers along the way. He felt he 'tagged' the taggers when he'd ruptured the spray cans with a silenced 9MM projectile. Maybe it was time to look for other criminals as well.
Savannah and Sheila started out together.
Cameron and Cammy weren't far behind and a little off to the side. Ally and Hanna were on the far left side and Bob was on the far right side.
Savannah felt a little despair because no one agreed with her. She still believed her instincts were correct. Maybe the circumstances weren't. It was something to think about going forward anyway. It's possible anyone back from the future may be too tainted by their previous circumstances to see beyond them. She glanced back to where Cameron and Cammy were. She looked at Sheila on her side.
"I'll do the talking." Savannah said.
Sheila didn't want to take any chances. She didn't think Savannah's choice was a wise one.
"I'll move in front of you at the first sign of trouble." Sheila said. "I know you understand."
Savannah knew everyone was concerned for her safety.
"I get it." Savannah said. "We don't know what's going to happen."
Savannah checked her phone. There were two Grays moving towards the position she wanted to approach. She should be able to reach her objective ahead of the Grays.
The other two teams of Grays were still off on the other side away from where the anti-Metal faction was. It was unknown what they were looking for or if they were operating off of bad information. It seemed the most likely scenario.
Savannah closed in on her objective. She wore her night vision. She could see the man in a ditch. It didn't look right to her. There must be something they hadn't detected yet. There needed to be some kind of sleeping area if nothing else.
"I think this is only an ambush site." Savannah said. "It was probably prearranged if the man who was killed failed to check in."
Young Allison and Anna listened to what Savannah said.
"I think she's right." Anna said. "The drone scans haven't detected anything else there."
Young Allison didn't like Savannah walking into an ambush set up for someone else.
"Maybe they should withdraw and we can see what happens after the two groups fight each other." Young Allison said. "If there are survivors from either group, we can see where they go."
Anna knew they had plenty of drone support to follow either group.
"We could." Anna said. "We have the resources currently available to do so."
Young Allison thought about taking some preemptive action.
"I think Ally and Hanna should move closer to Savannah and Sheila." Young Allison said.
Anna wasn't sure if it was a good idea.
"You should consult with Savannah first." Anna said.
Young Allison didn't want to make waves with what Savannah wanted to try.
"Maybe we'll wait a little bit and see." Young Allison said.
Young Allison wanted to make sure Savannah was protected. She thought about her earlier adventure the evening before. She didn't try to make contact with anyone before she killed them. They were the enemy. The enemy didn't deserve any quarter. They only deserve one thing. It was death. She'd delivered it.
Moments ago:
Summer was in the Command Center. She stopped by and stayed to follow the operation. She stayed out of the way and worked with CamNet from John's station.
John Henry tried to stay ahead of everything. He glanced over at Summer. It seemed she was always one step ahead of him. No, it was more than one step. She was always way ahead of him.
"If you see anything I want to know." John Henry said.
Summer repositioned a drone for a wider sweep. The new search pattern produced results.
"I've located two concealed vehicles." Summer said. "I think they belong to the anti-Metal faction. I'm sure it's how they arrived."
John Henry checked. He hadn't detected anything previously.
"I don't know how we missed them before." John Henry said.
Summer looked at some past images. She didn't think they were detectable earlier.
"I think they were just uncovered." Summer said. "There's someone with them too."
They looked at the new images. It looked like someone was folding something up.
"There was some protective cover of some type. It's off now." John Henry said. "It was very efficient."
Summer checked Bob's location to the proximity of the area.
"It's in the sector Bob is near. He needs to use caution." Summer said. "I think they're getting ready to pull out. This might also be a ploy to draw in more of our resources."
Summer needed to remember they didn't know what was going on with any of the groups. They didn't even know who they were for sure.
CamNet sent over the new information. In the Young bunker, they could clearly see the two vehicles.
"There's one more person over there now." Young Allison said.
Anna thought the timing was off.
"It does look like they're getting ready to pull out." Anna said.
Young Allison believed the parked vehicles should have been detected earlier. They hadn't detected the other individual either. It made her start to wonder if there was something else going on.
"Whatever the cover was on those vehicles, it blocked our detection of them." Young Allison said. "It seems the cover was specifically used to block detection by an HK drone."
Young Allison contemplated what exactly was going on. It seemed doubtful the anti-Metal group would pull out right before an engagement with Grays. She was sure there was something else they wanted to engage first.
There were several of their drones in the area.
"I need all the drones to withdraw to a greater distance immediately." Young Allison said. "If they were expecting HK drones, ours are the only ones around. If they could detect HK drones, they should have detected ours too."
Young Allison began to wonder if maybe there was going to be some type of an EMP attack. It would bring down any drones and incapacitate any Terminators. She asked Anna to send out a warning. An EMP could be anything from an EMP grenade to a giant one. They could affect a small area or cover a large area with an airborne burst.
Sheila touched Savannah's arm.
"Our drones are withdrawing to a greater distance." Sheila whispered.
Savannah listened to the update.
"It doesn't make any sense either." Savannah whispered. "If they were expecting HK drones, why would they uncover the vehicles now?"
Savannah didn't like anything about the target area.
"You need to use caution, love." Sheila whispered back.
Savannah moved closer. She heard some rustling off to the side. She saw another man headed towards the location she was almost right behind.
The second man slipped into the ditch with the first man. She was close enough to hear them.
"Did you see them yet?" The first man asked.
The second man looked off in the distance.
"There are four of them." The second man said. "They're almost in the 'kill zone'."
It was clear to Savannah it was an ambush.
"Are they Grays?" The first man asked. "Are any of them Metal?''
"I don't know." The second man said. "I hope if there is any Metal, it's a female one this time."
Both men laughed.
"We really had a good time with the one we captured before we left the future." The first man said. "We should have brought her with us."
"We made her do everything with a smile on her face." The second man said. "I liked to see her accommodate five guys at once. Even twenty guys couldn't keep her busy all night long."
"We got the 'Metal Lover' she was with too." The first man said. "He got what he deserved. He was sleeping with the enemy. I'm glad we made him watch what we did with her. I especially liked it because we made him watch in his modified condition. We all laughed at what we made his Metal lover do to him. There wouldn't be any more good times for him."
Both men laughed as quietly as they could. They still found it amusing.
"It's not like it would have mattered." The second man said. "We killed him soon enough anyway. I did like the fact we made her do it with a smile on her face."
"He got what he deserved." The first man said.
"I hate those 'Metal Lovers' too." The second man said. "It's people like them who allowed Skynet to get established in the first place."
"The way I see it, the only good 'Metal Lover' is a dead 'Metal Lover'." The first man said. "None of them can ever be rehabilitated. They still think they can work with a reprogram machine. The machine was designed to kill humans. Eventually they all go bad and start killing humans. It's just what they are."
"We all feel the same way." The second man said. "If a human female isn't good enough for them, then they're nothing but a Skynet wannabe."
"I say death to every 'Metal Lover'." The second man said.
"I say death to every Skynet creation from computers to Terminators and anyone who associates with them. It doesn't matter if they're in the Resistance or not." The first man said. "They're all sellouts unless they're with us. It's just that simple."
"If they're not with us, they're against us." The second man said.
"If they ever saw one of those things flip on them, they wouldn't have anything to do with them." The first man said. "They're not like pets. They're killing machines. They're all wires and circuits. We're back here to stop them. We'll stop anyone who gets in our way. I don't care who they are."
Savannah listened to the two men. It made her sick. It didn't seem like making contact with them was such a good idea right now. It was evident the two men were 'Metal Haters' of the worst kind. They bragged about how their group turned a captured female Terminator into a Metal Whore after they made her mutilate her companion. How were they any better than the Resistance fighters who worked with reprogrammed Terminators if they abused one for their personal sexual pleasure?
One of the men looked at his watch.
"When is the EMP supposed to be set off?" The second man asked.
"It should be as soon as one of those Grays trips a Claymore." The first man said. "We want to make sure if they have any Metal with them, we bring it down."
"Jameson thought he detected an HK drone earlier but wasn't positive." The second man said. "He set a trap to bait it in if there's one around. He uncovered the cars. He'll blow the 'surprise' if he detects it again."
"It will be another piece of junk headed to the scrap yard as soon as we bring it down." The first man said.
Savannah received the warning of an EMP from Anna. She was given information on where the Grays and the anti-Metal operatives were all currently at from John Henry. It appeared the anti-Metal group didn't know there were two Grays who were almost at their position. They were only aware of the four who were about to walk into some kind of an ambush. Based on the warning from the Young bunker, and what was happening on the ground, it appeared they possessed an EMP to use against Skynet Terminators or HK drones. It would be as effective against their group. She needed to protect their troops and equipment. It was time to make a decision. It wasn't a hard one to make.
"I'm ordering all of our Terminators and drones to withdraw immediately." Savannah whispered. "There's too much chance of them getting caught up in this. The EMP worries me."
Sheila looked at Savannah. She didn't want to leave Savannah alone. She did need to follow her order.
"You heard them, love." Sheila said. "You heard what they want to do again. I don't want it to be me."
Sheila disappeared into the darkness.
Savannah did hear the men. It was like Cameron told her over and over. They were so blinded by their hatred, they couldn't see what was better for mankind in the future. She wanted to stop the killing in the Resistance. It didn't look possible with this group or at this time. Perhaps the only cure for a 'Metal Hater' was death. She couldn't help but think what would happen to John if he was confronted by them. She couldn't help but think about what would happen to her.
Cameron and Cammy could hear the men converse. It didn't surprise them, even if it disturbed them.
They didn't expect Savannah's order to withdraw.
"Savannah is sending us away." Cammy said. "She'll be all alone."
Cameron knew it wouldn't be the first time Savannah was left holding the bag.
"I don't like it either." Cameron said.
Sheila joined them a few seconds later.
"We need to go." Sheila said. "You all heard the order."
Cameron wasn't happy about it.
"You didn't need to remind us." Cameron said.
Cammy seemed even unhappier.
"What about Savannah?" Cammy asked. "What's she going to do?"
Sheila hoped Savannah was going to do the right thing. The right thing was to kill those men. She wasn't sure how it would play out.
"She's very close to one of the positions." Sheila said. "I don't know what she's going to do. Let's go."
Cameron, Cammy and Sheila all pulled back. So did Ally, Hanna and Bob. Their drones did too.
CamNet was able to enhance what Savannah's and Sheila's coms picked up. She made sure everyone heard what was said.
Everything was clearly heard in the Young bunker.
"I think it kind of narrows it down." Anna said.
Young Allison wasn't appalled by what she'd heard. It was what she'd expected to hear. It was what Cameron always told her.
"It's what I expected." Young Allison said. "Savannah is much more of an optimist than I am. I see people for what they are, not what they could be. If they were going to be something different, they would be."
Anna knew Young Allison was molded in Cameron's image as much as it was possible for a human to be.
"You heard the order." Anna said. "All of the drones have pulled back to a safe distance except two."
Young Allison knew who the two were still in the danger zone.
"I know it's 'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb'." Young Allison said. "We don't know how big the EMP is."
Anna checked their position.
"Unless the EMP is a very large one, they should still be operational." Anna said.
Young Allison hoped the blast was small. She was aware EMP devices could have various ranges. If they were detonated on the ground, it further limited the damaging effect. It still affected everything in its blast area.
"We'll see." Young Allison said.
The same transmission from Savannah and Sheila played in the Command Center.
John Henry looked over at Summer.
She knew why he looked at her.
"Relax." Summer said. "I know everything about all of those things. I know some of those things have been done since the time of Genghis Khan. It's nothing new to history. I've probably forgotten more than most people will ever know."
John Henry chose not to comment. He was aware Summer didn't forget much. He knew it was just a 'saying'.
"All the drones have moved to a safer distance." John Henry said.
Summer checked the Terminators.
"I don't think all of our Terminators on the ground are." Summer said.
John Henry checked.
"They should be out of the immediate danger zone." John Henry said. "Cameron and Cammy have lagged a little behind."
Summer was glad there were still images from the two drones so John Henry could keep Savannah advised as to where the two groups of the enemy were at.
Jim watched the operation unfold. He was a little upset he couldn't watch the action in the two suites. If they'd used the Honeymoon suite, he could have seen everything. Then again, they tried to keep some insulation of the three girls from the ship and their personal suites in the private area.
The development with Savannah out in the danger zone alone worried him. He wondered at what point they were going to clean the mess up. He didn't like any of the things he'd heard those two men discuss. Their discussion disgusted him.
Jesse finished up with Precious and handed her to Riley.
"Sorry, love, you get to do the next part." Jesse said.
Riley took Precious and looked around.
"Do you know where Samantha went?" Riley asked.
Jesse only knew she left.
"I don't." Jesse said. "I think John Henry needed her to help him or something. She could always be inspecting the base too. We're short on Terminators."
They didn't know CamNet directed Samantha to intercept Claire earlier. It was done at Summer's request. It seemed to please both Claire and Samantha.
Jesse checked to make sure Riley attended to Precious before she left.
She wondered why John Henry needed Samantha. She thought she would stop by the Command Center and check it out. She would see if Claire was busy while she was at it. She hoped she wasn't. If she wasn't, she was going to be.
Jesse started to close her top. She thought about it for a moment and changed her mind. She left it open. She was sure John Henry would be a little more cooperative with everything if she entered the Command Center with a clear view of 'everything'. Well, everything on top.
John Henry and Summer spotted Jesse on the way to the Command Center.
"Jesse will be here in less than a minute." John Henry said.
Summer didn't seem concerned.
As they watched, Jesse took out her phone and looked at it. There was a big smile on her face now. She took the next intersection and headed for Claire's room.
"I don't think we need to worry about it." Summer said.
John Henry wondered what message was sent to Jesse and by whom.
"Indeed." John Henry said.
Summer wanted to make it clear.
"Everyone's happy." Summer said. "Leave it at that."
John Henry tilted his head slightly. He did see they were all pleased by what Summer set into motion. He was just surprised she was ready to use such a specific option, especially directed at her own mother.
Savannah didn't like what she heard from the two men in front of her. It didn't seem there was any way to bargain with them. Their minds seemed made up. She thought Sheila would kill them when they talked about what they did to a captured female Terminator and the Resistance fighter who was with her.
It didn't take her long to figure out why Sheila didn't kill them. She'd left the task up to her. It was a teachable moment. Nothing was spoken, but it was clear what needed to be done. She was the one who would have to make the decision. She could crawl away now and let the Grays and anti-Metal group fight it out. She could call for a missile strike and kill everyone around her except for the four men nearest her. She could kill the Grays and still try to make contact with the two men.
The two men faced away from her. They hadn't spotted the two Grays moving towards them from the side. They didn't know there was danger so close to them. They didn't know she was behind them. It was an even closer danger at this point because of what they'd said. It didn't sit well with her.
Savannah could see the Grays now. They were coming in at an angle towards the two men. It didn't seem either group saw each other. The two men in front of her begin to talk again.
"Maybe one of the Grays will be a chick." The first man said.
"I hope so." The second man said. "I'd really like to bag some skirt. It would almost be as good as a female Terminator."
Savannah was very upset with what she'd heard.
"What if these are 'Metal Lovers' and not Grays?" The first man asked.
"What's the difference?" The second man asked. "They're both sellouts and consorting with the enemy."
"I heard some of the 'Metal Lovers' are females who are with female Metal." The first man said.
"That's just wrong on about three levels." The second man said. "I guess if we catch one, we can help reeducate her."
It produced a round of laughter.
Savannah was angry now.
This time the Grays heard the two men and crouched down.
They were about to send a warning to the rest of their group.
There was an explosion in the near distance.
Savannah ducked down. There was supposed to be an EMP set off when the first Claymore was tripped. There was a second explosion. It sounded like a second Claymore was triggered. It was followed by a brilliant flash of light as the EMP was set off.
Savannah came up to a kneeling position with her silenced M9 and locked in on the Grays. They seemed a little stunned by the explosions and the EMP. She fired four times and the Grays both fell. One of them let out a gurgling scream.
The two men in front of her crouched down in the ditch after the first explosion. They'd expected the EMP to be set off. It was. They wanted to avoid the energy blasted out in all directions. It wouldn't kill humans, but who wanted any extra energy of any type to pass through their body?
They both heard the one Gray's gurgling scream.
"There's someone off to the side." The first man said.
"I think they're Grays." The second man said. "They may be all around us."
They both searched for a target.
Savannah debated what to do. She didn't want to kill them. She wasn't sure if there was any other option at this point.
Moments ago:
Young Allison didn't like the drones to pull back so much. They still could see the battlefield but everything would be done at long range. It ruled out everything but missile support.
Anna felt the situation put Savannah in peril.
"Savannah needs to act or withdraw." Anna said.
They watched one explosion followed by a second where the Grays were across from the anti-Metal faction. There was a bright flash of light a few seconds later.
"There goes the EMP." Young Allison said. "How are all of our troops?"
Anna checked on the Terminators.
"They're all far enough away they weren't affected." Anna said.
Young Allison hoped there wasn't a second blast.
"Have them all hold for a little bit before they're released to enter the combat zone again." Young Allison said. "I don't like surprises."
Young Allison didn't know if there would be more than one EMP available to the group. It was a strong possibility.
Cameron and Cammy felt some of the EMP energy. It was little more than a minor twinge.
"I think we're OK." Cameron said.
Cammy was a little confused.
"Are we?" Cammy asked.
Cameron was ready to go back up Savannah when she was given the order to wait.
It didn't sit well with her. She wasn't used to taking 'orders'. Right now she didn't have a choice. Savannah was in charge of the operation and she was the only one on the battlefield at this point. There were still plenty of enemy combatants out there. Some of them were right in front of her.
The female Fanatic slowly lifted her head to be able to look across the landscape at ground level. She could see the fence ran in both directions. She looked over towards the road which was now in the near distance. She could see a checkpoint. Right now she needed to get over or around the fence to continue her trek to reach the building.
It didn't look like it was going to be easy and not get spotted. The satellite photo didn't give her enough detail to show her the extent of the fence. It didn't even show up on the satellite image.
She thought about the debris piled up against the fence in the bottom of the gulch. She could see the water actually eroded dirt away underneath the bottom of the fence where it crossed over it. She hadn't noticed it earlier because of the debris. Some of it was stuck underneath the bottom of the fence. She looked over at the checkpoint. She couldn't tell how many individuals were there. She knew it was at least one.
Since she was below the line of sight, she decided to turn on the light of one of the phones briefly to get a better look at everything. A quick look showed her there were several rocks along with some branches and some brush. There was over a foot of space between the bottom of the fence and the top of the dried surface.
She reached down and moved two of the larger rocks. She was careful to make sure they didn't impact against each other as she did. They were both rather heavy. She moved a few more smaller ones. She was able to pull out the first branch. She carefully laid it past her. She could reach underneath the fence and move the smaller ones. There were a few more medium sized rocks.
There was now about fourteen inches of space. It was enough for her to go underneath the fence. She slid through on her back. She tossed a couple of other pieces of brush on top of where she'd come through. In the moonlight, the area looked undisturbed and the gap wasn't noticeable. She didn't know if they had perimeter security as well. Either way, she was on the other side of the wire.
The gully soon turned into a ditch. She was at waist height in a minute. There was no sign of any movement around her. She was across from the building at this point. There wasn't much cover where she currently was. She decided to move a little closer. Her biggest concern going forward would be surveillance cameras on the building. Wait, her biggest concern going forward would be a Terminator, an active HK Track or HK drones. She knew for a fact they had HK Tracks.
There were no windows or openings on the side of the building closest to her. She didn't spot any surveillance cameras on the side of the building. She hoped there weren't any land mines. It was always a possibility. The worst ones in the future were the plasma mines. She'd seen several of them go off. They showered everyone around them with burning plasma. It was a terrible way to die. Those heavily burnt, begged for the others to kill them to end the pain.
She reached the side of the building without incident. She paused up against it and looked in both directions. She couldn't see the checkpoint from where she was at. She thought it was a good thing. It meant they couldn't see her.
The front of the building was closest to where he was at. She wanted to take a closer look at it. She moved along the side of the wall until she reached the corner. She checked above her again for any type of surveillance device. There wasn't one. She took a quick peek around the corner. The front of the building appeared to have been constructed with a glass entry door and several large glass windows next to it for the office area. Those had been replaced with metal. She knew a frontal entry would require some type of bomb blast. She currently carried two of them. It would also alert everyone in the building as to what was going on. She decided to head for the back.
She moved along the wall until she neared the back. She checked for surveillance devices above her again before she looked around the corner. She thought it was very quiet. The quiet worried her. She took a quick glance around the corner. She expected to see the loading bays for the trucks. She was actually a little surprised at what she saw. It was another blank wall like the one she was currently against on the side. She paused and looked intently at the area behind the wall. She figured if there was a sentry, they would be somewhere in the rear area. She didn't see anything.
It appeared all the action would be on the other side. It was the west side of the building. She moved along the back of the building. She found an opening which had been blocked with cement. She knew it would still be a weak point and susceptible to a bomb blast. The surface was very uneven. She doubted there was much reinforcing iron inside of it, if any at all. It appeared to her somebody threw a piece of plywood up on the outside and mixed a dozen bags of concrete by hand and poured it into a crude form on the other side which they probably built up as they went along.
There were metallic sounds, along with the sounds of voices, as she neared the rear corner of the building with the west side. She carefully looked around the corner. She spotted a surveillance camera right away. She was pleased to see it wasn't directed down low enough to see against the wall. It was angled to watch anything approaching the wall.
It appeared the perimeter fence, and the checkpoint, gave everyone inside of it a false sense of security. She'd already circumvented both of those. She was currently under the view of the security cameras as well. She really wondered who trained these people. All she needed to remember was the majority of them were little more than Scavengers. They threw their lot in with Skynet for the easy life and the perks it offered. They enjoyed abusing and killing fellow humans. It meant little more to them than stepping on ants. They weren't true believers like SkyMaster's followers. It pleased her to remember they would never reach Ascension.
From her current angle, it was hard to tell how many trucks were backed up to the rear area. She wasn't going to be able to tell unless she move far enough forward to look. It would put her in the view of the security camera. She pulled out her Beretta and her knife, which she held in her right hand.
She moved along the west wall until she came to the first opening. It was closed. She moved along to the second one. It was closed as well. The first truck was backed up to the next one. She quickly moved underneath it and paused. She was in front of the rear wheels. She tried to look further along to see how many more trucks were there. She could see there was one in the next spot in one next to it. After the third truck, it was too dark to see anything.
She could hear men talking, but she couldn't quite make out what they were saying. She looked both directions before she moved underneath one truck to the next. When she reached the third truck she was a little dismayed. There was one more loading bay in the wall. There was an actual dock on the other side of it. There were two unoccupied spaces before the next truck on the open dock. It was a total of three open spaces she would need to cross. She moved her head out carefully from behind the rear wheels and looked up. There was another surveillance camera mounted in the corner of the wall and the open part of the dock. It didn't appear it could see directly below it. Unless it had some type of 'fish eye' lens, it monitored what was happening on the dock.
The female Fanatic needed to plan her next moves carefully. She would be exposed for approximately fifty feet. It would be less if she were to actually go up on the dock, under the security camera. It would expose her to anyone on the dock if she did. She could hear the men clearly now. None of them sounded very happy.
CamNet's Terminators were directed to go to the location where the female Fanatic currently was at. They reviewed all of the footage from the drone where the female Fanatic engaged some Grays.
"I'm beginning to wonder if she's human." Lena said.
Tina thought about some of the things they'd witnessed.
"I think she's human, but she might be enhanced or a hybrid of some type." Tina said.
Lena heard about such creations before. In a further future anything was possible.
"None of the other Fanatics the Resistance has dealt with were either enhanced or a hybrid." Lena said.
Tina wasn't sure they possessed all of the facts.
"Not all of the Fanatics engaged with Terminators." Tina said. "Many of them were blown up in buildings."
Lena thought back on some of the things they'd witnessed.
"We've seen her consume food and expel waste." Lena said. "From the drone footage at the mine, it appeared she was asleep for a time period. I still believe all of her actions are more than just luck."
Tina still hoped to terminate her personally.
"After I snap her neck, we can tear her apart and see what we find." Tina said.
Tina would actually like to tear her apart before she was terminated. She knew Savannah wouldn't approve of such actions.
CamNet listened to their conversation. She was aware there was speculation of enhanced humans or hybrids in the future. She thought it should involve some further investigation. She informed the two Terminators to capture her alive and bring her back to Cameron's base. She wanted to see if there was any technology to be cleaned which could be used to enhance humans in their timeline. She knew it was a fine line to cross. She believed to prevent any type of problem, she should run it by Savannah first before they started to 'disassemble' her. No, she would run it by Young Allison instead. Young Allison would be more open to see what made a hybrid tick.
Lena and Tina were a little dismayed at their new order to bring back the female Fanatic alive. It actually sounded dangerous at this point.
"If she is some type of hybrid, or enhanced in some way, it's possible there could be a built in bomb within her." Lena said. "She more than likely has a poison tooth as well."
Tina knew the female Fanatic had been captured before. She hadn't used either one, even if she possessed both of them.
"She appears to only be willing to use them as a last resort." Tina said. "We need to render her unconscious and keep her that way until we can remove her poison tooth and attempt to determine if there is some type of bomb inside of her."
They followed her progress from the second encounter with an SUV, through the drainage ditch, up to the building and alongside of it.
"We know one of those trucks is carrying HK equipment." Lena said. "It may or may not be offloaded into the building. We don't know. We don't know what's inside of the building."
Tina wondered if they'd torched the last building too soon.
"They might decide to pull out completely if they find out we just burnt down another one of their buildings." Tina said.
They could see there were seven big rigs backed up to the west side of the new target building.
"Those trucks could go to seven different locations if they were loaded and left." Lena said.
Tina wouldn't mind if they loaded the trucks for them. It would save them the trouble. They also needed to worry about one other thing.
"It would make them easier to capture if they were already loaded." Tina said. "We know the female Fanatic is currently carrying a satchel charge. A zoomed in image of the combat vest she's now wearing shows it contains two grenades. We know she's not afraid to use explosives. As far as we know, she is an explosive."
It would be possible for the female Fanatic to compromise several power cells and detonate them with a grenade or the satchel charge. The resulting explosion would level the building.
CamNet's Terminators had more than a few things to worry about now. Their main goal was to reach the target building where the female Fanatic currently was at. There was a strong possibility they could capture a quantity of HK equipment. They were made aware of a new development as they drove.
Missing Part
Everyone tries to protect
Their feelings and their heart
It's only a matter of time
Until it's found by love's dart
Things can go slow
Or off of the chart
It's hard to stop
Once things first start
Nothing is written in stone
There's no flowchart
It's hard to maintain control
As they breech every inner rampart
It's all about feeling and emotion
It's not about being smart
For those who think they know it all
It's only themselves they outsmart
To make one's life whole
It's subjective like art
When it happens they know
They've found the missing part
Nobody
