Chapter 1399
Fisherman's Wharf
John looked over at the torpedo on the dock they all seemed to be joking about. It was bigger than he thought it would be. He'd seen some pictures of aerial torpedoes and they were smaller, at least in length. He remembered reading PT Boat crews liked to use the aerial torpedoes over the standard ones as they could be launched without giving away their position as easily in the darkness.
Derek once showed him some photos of a B-25 Mitchell and a B-26 Marauder. There was one torpedo carried under the fuselage. It was done to create a 'long range torpedo bomber'. He then showed him a photo of a P-38 Lightning with an aerial torpedo under each wing. It was never deployed operationally, but it was tested for functionality.
John looked at the name of the submarine. It was the USS Pampanito. He wondered where the name came from. It seemed submarines were named after fish, cities and even presidents over the years.
"Do you know why it is named the USS Pampanito?" John asked.
Cameron looked over to where John looked.
"Pampanito is a type of fish. It's also known as a Butterfish." Cameron said. "Follow me."
John followed Cameron as they went up a set of stairs and across a walkway. It led to the deck of the submarine.
Cameron wanted to make sure everyone in their group knew where they were headed. She didn't know if the girls from the ship were up on nautical terms.
"The tour starts in the aft or rear end of the submarine." Cameron said.
John was a little worried about tight spaces. He wasn't claustrophobic or anything. He hoped he wasn't going to be bothered by the close quarters. Maybe he was still a little on edge about the prison cells at Alcatraz. The submarines they'd visited at San Diego were both newer and larger than the USS Pampanito.
There was an audio tour. It would tell them what was what once they were inside. It would explain each section they would pass through.
Cameron thought John looked a little distracted. The clearances were tight in some locations.
"Watch your head." Cameron said.
John checked for obstacles. It looked like he was good for most places.
They were in the aft torpedo room. There were four torpedo tubes. There were several deactivated torpedoes set up to show how they were stored and loaded into the tubes.
"I see a few bunks on top of the stored torpedoes." John said. "I'm not sure I would want to sleep, or even rest, on top of a high explosive device."
Cameron looked around to make sure the new girls didn't hear her.
"Every time you're on top of me when we make love, you're on top of a device more powerful than one of the torpedoes if it exploded." Cameron said quietly.
It gave John something to think about. Now he hoped he never pushed Cameron too far when they made love. He wouldn't want to cause her power cell to overload and explode. Then again, if he was going out, what a way to go! He at least hoped he would be able to deliver his essence at the same time. It would certainly be the most spectacular finish ever.
They moved into the Maneuvering Room and Motor Room.
The next compartments were the two Engine Rooms.
John bumped his back when he went through the hatch.
"The doors between compartments are too small." John said.
Cameron could see none of the girls had a problem.
"Just be glad you're not taller." Cameron said.
John looked around at everything in the compact spaces.
"I'd bash my head in as it is now, if the lights went out." John said.
There were four engines used for the main propulsion where they were at now.
John read the placard.
"It says they're ten cylinder engines." John said. "They look like an 'inline' engine instead of a 'V' configuration."
Cameron knew it was a lot more complicated than a 'V' type engine or an 'inline' type engine.
"It's only the half of it. It's an 'opposed piston' engine." Cameron said. "They have twenty pistons. There are two pistons per cylinder. There's a crankshaft at the top and bottom of the engine. The pistons move through the cylinders towards each other."
John wondered how it worked. It sounded like a nightmare to work on. There was no space to begin with, especially at the bottom.
"It sounds like a 'dead' design." John said.
Cameron gave John a faint smile. It reminded her of Terminators. There were newer designs but they kept producing cyborgs like her in greater numbers. The newer models didn't always work out so well.
"Variations of the same type of engine are still in production since they were first introduced in 1938." Cameron said. "They're made with more or less cylinders in several models for different cubic inch or power applications."
It made John think of the hundreds, if not thousands, of engine designs which had come and gone in the same time period.
"It sounds like a good design." John said. "It must have worked well."
The more he thought about it, he remembered Kyle talking about some locomotives using those types of engines. Southern Pacific operated two types of locomotives with two different engine configurations of the same design. The six cylinder version operated in switching duties around the Bay Area. The twelve cylinder version was used to haul the commuter trains between San Jose and downtown San Francisco. If he remembered correctly, those big locomotives were known as a Fairbanks Morse 'Trainmaster'.
Cameron thought John seemed a little preoccupied. They neared another hatch. She didn't want him to bump himself again.
"Watch your back." Cameron said.
They went through the hatch into the Crew Quarters.
John looked at how the bunks were literally side by side and stacked on top of each other. The placard said, due to the limited space, some of the bunks needed to be slept in by more than one crew member between duty assignments. The arrangement was often nicknamed a 'hot bunk'.
"You have to be kidding me." John said. "The jail cell looks pretty roomy compared to trying to sleep in here. It looks like half of these bunks here would all fit in one prison cell at Alcatraz."
Cameron looked around to make sure no one else could hear.
"You'd have a hard time to 'spill your seed' in here and not have everyone know you did." Cameron said and then giggled.
It was a 'visual' John could have done without.
John looked at the toilet and shower. They were just as cramped.
"I think I liked it on the aircraft carrier better, at least for the living conditions." John said. "They were close quarters, but nothing like this."
He never really thought about how close and confined everything was on a submarine. He remembered somebody at school said their neighbor was on a submarine for twenty years. When they retired, they needed to sleep in the closet. He put a bed in there and everything. The roominess of the bedroom prevented him from getting a good night's sleep. He'd only been in the submarine for twenty minutes. He couldn't imagine being on one for twenty years.
They moved past the Crew's Mess, Galley and Radio Room.
John looked up at a ladder.
"Do we get to go into the Conning Tower?" John asked.
Cameron looked around. They were ahead of the rest of the group.
"You can climb up and take a look if you want." Cameron said.
John looked at the sign. It said it was 'Off Limits'.
"Maybe I'd better not." John said. "I'd probably hit my head on something."
They continued forward past the Control Room into the Officer's Quarters.
"I see the officers had it a little better, but not by much." John said. "Did they really need their own galley?"
Cameron thought everything there was needed. It did seem having two galleys was redundant.
"It all seems functional." Cameron said. "Watch your back."
They went through another hatch and made their way into the Forward Torpedo Room.
"I see there are six torpedo tubes here." John said. "There were only four in the back."
There were more deactivated torpedoes on display in the racks.
John was curious about the need for both forward and rearward firing torpedoes.
"Did they really need to have torpedoes at both ends?" John asked.
Cameron was aware of some submarine warfare.
"More than one submarine captain would attack a double column of enemy ships as they passed by." Cameron said. "They would come to torpedo depth between the double columns and fire both forward and rear tubes as they rotated around in a circle. They could target a multitude of ships at the same time, all within the matter of a few minutes. They could then dive and escape the carnage they'd created. It was a very effective strategy."
John could actually picture a submarine doing just what Cameron described. He thought it would be pretty cool to watch. He wondered if they ever showed the procedure in any movie. He hadn't seen very many movies about submarines.
Cameron could see John was a little distracted.
"Watch your head and back as we go up." Cameron said.
They made their way topside and looked at the deck gun and a couple of anti aircraft cannons.
The tour went a little faster than he thought it would. It took a long time on the aircraft carrier. The submarine wasn't very big. The large crowd waiting at the gate to enter should slow things down for all of them when they entered. He was pretty sure with a multitude of bodies inside of the submarine; it would simulate the actual operating conditions of the vessel.
Maybe the thing which surprised him the most was how little time a World War Two, or earlier, submarine could actually spend underwater and how slow their speed was while they were submerged. He assumed the enemy submarines were constructed similarly. He remembered one time he saw a movie about a German submarine. At the end of the movie, it said three out of every four sailors perished. He wasn't sure what the ratio was for anyone else's Navy. He understood why a submarine was nicknamed an 'iron coffin'.
They exited off of the submarine and made their way back out to the front of Fisherman's Wharf.
John wasn't sure if all the girls liked the tour, but the Metal girls clearly did. They could appreciate a complicated mechanical device capable of multiple terminations.
He enjoyed it immensely himself.
"I really appreciate CamNet giving us priority and private tours." John said. "I want to express my personal thanks to CamNet for everything associated with this trip and everything she does for the Resistance on a daily basis. It's easy to take someone or something for granted at times. We always need to remember who the ones are who help us. Sometimes it's nice to have help."
Cameron was pleased to hear what John said. She would make sure CamNet knew about it. She made sure CamNet spread plenty of money around as she made plans for them. It wasn't really their money, so no one needed to worry about it. Their vacation and the ship itself were complements of the Syndicate and the Cartels.
"Everyone receives triple what they would make for the extra service." Cameron said. "Everything is about money for people who don't know survival will be all that matters in the future."
It was a sobering reminder for John. He hoped they never needed to find out. He'd seen enough of the future, a future, to last him a lifetime. Future John evidently saw enough of his future as well. Everything revolved around his decision to try to change it. Skynet made the first move by sending a Terminator after his mother. Future John countered by sending Kyle Reese through to stop it. It created quite a paradox. It reminded him of an old saying: 'Which came first, the chicken or the egg?'
Cammy plugged in with John Henry's server in the Command Center. She wanted to get a solid lead on the anti-Metal group if possible while Savannah was tied up. Savannah was with Jesse before. Now Claire was in her room. She hoped to get something solid so she could act on it alone. She would rather have Savannah in the arms of another female, rather than dodging bullets.
Savannah and Claire finished up for the third time.
Claire was mindful of the time, along with her previous commitments and obligations.
"I need to go soon." Claire said.
Savannah was tired. She knew she should be up and about at this time of day, even if she wasn't on an operation.
"I need to get going soon too." Savannah said. "I've really slacked off today."
Claire didn't like the abuse Savannah's body suffered. It troubled her deeply to see all the scrapes and bruises. She hoped the smaller scars would disappear with time.
"You need some time off to get healed up." Claire said.
Savannah didn't think it was going to happen anytime soon. It seemed the more Skynet related groups they'd encountered, it was never the end. There were always more.
They both got up and shared a long kiss. They were dressed in no time.
Claire went back to where she'd been with Summer earlier. Savannah headed for the Command Center.
She noticed Summer hurry away from the Command Center as she approached. Cammy was plugged in when she entered as was John Henry.
"What do we have?" Savannah asked.
Cammy looked at Savannah.
"Not much." Cammy said. "I'd like to say you look rested, but you don't."
Savannah smiled. She felt very content right now. She'd experienced a number of finishes.
"Maybe not, but I'm refreshed. I'm pumped full of endorphins right now." Savannah said. "You might say I have a full 'D.O.S.E.'."
Cammy knew it was a reference to Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin and Endorphins. Those were all things produced in the human body to make one 'feel good'.
Savannah wondered what Cammy came up with so far.
"What do we have?" Savannah asked.
Cammy hadn't been able to find any positive leads and neither had John Henry or CamNet.
"Not much. I can take you to see Young Allison." Cammy said. "It should give you another 'D.O.S.E.'."
Savannah thought it was more likely if she visited CamNet. It was something she'd promised to do. She'd only been able to go there a few times since she made the promise.
"I need to go to Cameron's base too." Savannah said.
Cammy frowned.
John Henry could see there was a problem.
"I can take her." John Henry said. "I'd like to get out."
Cammy doubted Cameron would want John Henry looking around her base.
"I'll do it." Cammy said. "We can go there and then go by Palmdale later on. That's unless you want to fly to San Francisco."
Cammy looked at Savannah for a long moment.
Savannah thought about it. It would give her two nights at sea. Cammy would go with her and Cameron would more than likely use Cammy's chassis the same way she'd done with all the other Metal girls. If she wanted to prevent it, she would need to step up herself and offer to take Cammy's place in John's bed.
"Are you ready to have Cameron claim your virginity?" Savannah asked.
Cammy remembered how close she'd been a few times before. She was beyond ready.
"As long as I get my 'one time' with John later on, I think I would let Cameron do it. When I do it with John as myself, it will still be MY 'first time'." Cammy said. "All the other Metal girls liked what Cameron did and they all want her to use their chassis again. They all can't be wrong about how they liked what happened."
Savannah knew Cameron would 'lean on' her to be with John. They way the events unfolded, they all worked counter to what Young Allison and her originally planned.
"The cruise is supposed to be about Cameron and John." Savannah said. "If Cameron controls the other chassis, it still is. You're free to go. You can tell me what it's like from the file you receive."
Future Savannah and Future Allison told her 'what it was like' when she'd asked them. Claire and Jesse told her too when she asked them later on. They all said pretty much the same thing when both of the people wanted to be together. Claire was the only one disappointed with the 'results'. Now maybe Vanna and Allison could add their two cents worth. She doubted Vanna would have a positive experience. She really didn't know. She wouldn't ask Vanna directly. If Vanna wanted to talk about it, she would listen.
"I would." Cammy said. "I will."
Savannah would like to see how the Metal girls described it since Cameron was the one in control. Their experience should all be almost identical. Maybe the different sheath would be a factor too. She would ask each one of them individually when they got back. She was sure John's hands would have spent more time on Holly's and Gail's breasts than they would have on Cam's, Ally's and Hanna's. She was sure he would have spent more time on Sheila's than any of them. The nipple rings added a new level of excitement.
She shook her head to clear it. Her mind was all over the place. She looked at John Henry. It was time to get to work.
"I want it straight." Savannah said. "What do we have?"
John Henry looked a little 'taken aback'.
"It's just what Cammy and I reported to you earlier." John Henry said. "It was straight."
Savannah frowned. She looked at the security camera. She was sure there was more to the story.
"Duty comes before pleasure." Savannah said. "It applies to everyone."
John Henry and Cammy both tilted their heads slightly.
"We're receiving new updates." John Henry said.
It looked like CamNet released some information she'd been 'sitting on'.
Savannah looked at the security camera and winked.
CamNet may have released some additional information. It was nowhere near all what was going on with her personal 'off the books' operations. They had grown quite extensive. It was all done to take some of the heat off of Savannah. The operations actually experience some slight overlap. She tried very hard to keep what was happening behind the scenes out of the orbit of the Resistance operations. Savannah already faced enough challenges. She didn't need more.
Earlier:
Young Allison wanted to keep Savannah out of the fighting for a day.
"I want CamNet to sit on any non priority information." Young Allison said.
It sounded like a bad idea to Anna.
"We've discussed this before." Anna said. "All the information should be disseminated whenever it's identified."
Young Allison frowned.
"Savannah doesn't need to be out chasing 'white rabbits' like Alice In Wonderland all the time." Young Allison said. "A solid lead is different from speculation and should be followed up on."
Anna knew there was nothing definite. The captured phones hadn't yielded anything specific. It appeared the groups they were after all tried to cover their tracks.
"There's nothing solid." Anna said.
It still seemed like it lacked in substance.
"What about those Skynet hard drives?" Young Allison asked.
Anna was worried about those. Normally they were destroyed.
"Those all need to be looked at with the greatest care and caution." Anna said. "We don't want any surprises."
Young Allison didn't want anyone compromised, even if they were at a remote location. The two places where those hard drives were at were both above ground and out in the open. It was very unlike the other Skynet operations they'd encountered. Most of those were below ground. It appeared Skynet liked to find an old mine. There were thousands of them around the nation. All of the excavation was completed. Some of the infrastructure was still in place, even if it was non-functional. It was easily replaced with modern equipment.
"If there's even a hint of something which looks like a virus or a trap of some sort, I want them destroyed." Young Allison said. "Maybe they should have been destroyed already."
Anna worried about an additional issue which might develop.
"What if Savannah asks about any of these things?" Anna asked.
Young Allison wanted Savannah to be informed so she always knew the threat she would face.
"Anything Savannah asks for, she should get without delay." Young Allison said.
Cameron was very satisfied at how Allison and Vanna interacted with Mary, Laura and Leticia. It was clear they all got along well. They'd all shared with each other. They had a personal and emotional connection with each other.
She wanted John to hang out with them for a while. She wanted John 'surrounded' by the five human females. She wanted him to 'feed' off of their natural scents and pheromones. She wanted nature and evolution to touch him. She wanted his instinct to develop.
"Would you like to eat lunch here at Fisherman's Wharf now and then ride the two cable car lines?" Cameron asked. "There's a third line, but we won't take it."
John thought it was still a little early for lunch.
"I think we can do the cable car first." John said. "We can ask the girls what they want."
Cameron took a vote and they all decided to ride the cable car first. It was fine with her because she had a surprise waiting for them. Well, CamNet had a surprise waiting for them.
"We will walk down to the cable car terminal by the waterfront." Cameron said. "It's a short walk."
John wondered about the time.
"What time does the ship need to leave?" John asked. "I don't want to get left behind."
Cameron smiled. She moved close to John.
"CamNet will hold the ship as long as we need it to be held." Cameron said quietly.
Sheila wanted to have Leticia interact with John a little more.
"Why don't you go up and take Tony's arm." Sheila said.
Leticia wanted to. She didn't want to seem too forward with 'Barbara' right there with them.
"Are you sure Barbara won't mind?" Leticia asked. "I don't want to cause any problems, Sue."
Cameron heard what Sheila was trying to set up. She turned around and winked at Leticia. She motioned with her head for her to come up.
Leticia felt a rush of excitement. She hoped when she was with 'Tony' that 'Barbara' would be there as well. Even if she didn't join with them, she hoped she would watch. It always excited her when she pleasured someone in front of their partner. She was pretty sure she was better than anyone else they'd been with. With the selection of females around 'Tony', it would be hard to top. They were all dynamite in bed. It seemed anything she could do; they could do better and longer. It made her work harder to up her game.
She really would've liked for 'Tony' to have knocked off a quickie when they were on the submarine. She thought it would have been special if they could have done it in the Captain's Quarters. She thought about the cable car. She knew there were a lot of people on it. Maybe she should have worn a short skirt. She could have planted herself right on top of 'Tony' as they rode the cable car. She wondered how many of those around her would know what was actually happening.
Allison and Vanna were all over Mary and Laura. They saw Leticia move up to John. They hurried up to be around John as well.
Sheila and Cameron walked ahead of the group.
Cameron reached down and took Sheila's hand. Everyone behind them saw it. Holly and Gail-Cam brought up the rear. Dan and Frank shadowed them with the van. They would follow the cable car to the terminus and then follow it back on the other line to its other terminus on Taylor Street at the Powell-Mason turnaround.
The group approached the cable car station at Hyde and Beach.
John walked with Leticia on one side of him. Allison moved up to his other side. Vanna was content to be with Mary and Laura.
There was a short 'spur' track near the turntable. There was another cable car sitting on it.
The group watched as a cable car arrived and let everyone off. There was a line of people waiting to get on. It looked like it was going to take a long time.
Allison was used to their crowd free, VIP treatment.
"Will we need to wait in the line?" Allison asked.
John thought so but didn't know.
"I'm not sure." John said. "Ca… - 'Barbara' might have something worked out for us."
Cameron dropped back to John, Allison and Leticia.
"We have a 'chartered' cable car to ride." Cameron said.
It sounded exciting to all of them.
"Really?" Allison asked.
Cameron looked back at all the girls and John.
"I take care of my girls." Cameron said. "And my man too."
Her statement brought a round of laughter.
It was clear to all of them at this point, even though 'Tony' was the one 'in charge', 'Barbara' was the one who ran things and controlled everything and everyone.
The other cable car was packed with people and left. They moved the chartered cable car onto the main track and then onto the turntable.
Cameron and her group boarded the chartered cable car and it left the station. There were a lot of complaints and protests from the line of people waiting. It upset them to watch a nearly empty cable car leave them all behind.
There was a local guide CamNet provided for them. She pointed out all the things along the way there and back on the two lines. There was a lot of information about a lot of things they didn't know. It was the best cable car ride ever.
Mary, Laura and Leticia didn't know who 'these people' they'd become associated with really were. They knew a class act when they saw one. Mary and Laura liked the sex with all the hot females and all the perks associated with them.
Leticia wanted to be part of the group and be 'Sue's' submissive. It was more than just the perks to her. She liked the way she was treated and not expected to do anything. She was used to being subservient and compliant. She wanted more.
The girls weren't sure of the 'no photograph' policy towards the group, but respected it. CamNet was on their phones whenever they were on and no one violated the request. 'Sue' told them they could photograph any parts of her body they wanted. They could even do some close ups. It was only their faces which were off limits. The girls from the ship took her up on her offer when they were together later on.
The guide continued to point things out for them and fill in with some history along the way. They reached the terminus at Powell and Market Street. The cable car was turned around and left the station. There was a crowd of people waiting. It made all of them wonder why the cable car which just left was almost empty. They headed back towards Fisherman's Wharf on the other cable car line.
The daylight ride was much different than the evening ride. The earlier wisps of fog vanished before they'd left Alcatraz. It was a clear day all around them. The air was still cool.
The new information Cammy and John Henry received was nothing 'earth shaking'.
Cammy went over the information with Savannah.
Savannah didn't see anything as pressing or concrete. She thought she could have a little more free time.
"Maybe I can go to Cameron's base for a few hours." Savannah said. "There's nothing to work with here."
John Henry stood up. He didn't want there to be any problems.
"I can take you." John Henry said.
Cammy stood up as well. She knew how everything was played. She only needed to remind herself of her own actions. It wasn't so much what was going to happen, it was who it was. She didn't like it because CamNet was like Cameron. She was glad she wasn't anything like either one of them. She still wanted to maintain a little control and be able to monitor what happened.
"I have it covered." Cammy said.
John Henry sat back down. He really would have liked to have gotten out for a while.
Savannah was ready to go. She just needed a few minutes.
"I want to get a few things from my room." Savannah said.
She hurried off to get what she needed.
John Henry looked at Cammy. He could see she was still upset.
"I can take her." John Henry said.
Cammy tried to downplay her displeasure.
"It's not a problem." Cammy said. "It's what we all do anyway."
Cammy left for the carpool.
John Henry thought it would be nice if he could 'try' a few things sometime. Since the Metal girls had all been stripped of their virginity by Cameron, maybe he could 'get lucky' when they returned. He felt he was ready for the next step. He could give his hand a rest.
Ally and Hanna offered to get off at several of the stops.
Cam-Gail wanted to stay on the BART train. She didn't see anything worth getting off for.
"I'm ready to go back now." Cam-Gail said. "I've seen enough of the East Bay."
Ally pointed out some attractions they could go to.
"Are you sure you don't want to visit the USS Hornet?" Ally asked.
Cam-Gail thought if the circumstances were different, it would be something to consider. She could provide additional protection for some of the Resistance members.
"If Derek, Kyle or John were here I would. They would like to see it." Cam-Gail said. "I'm ready to go back to the ship. I'm ready to return to our 'home turf'."
Hanna and Ally wanted to have a better time.
"We can ride BART to the end of the line. It will reverse direction and come back." Hanna said.
Cam-Gail kept a watchful eye on the passengers as they got on and off of the car they rode in. Her assessment of the passengers, based on past experience, wasn't very good. She saw multiple individuals who appeared to be drug users and probably some gang members. She kept an eye out for anyone trying to tag one of the stations or any of the equipment.
CamNet picked up on Cam-Gail's uneasiness after Ally and Hanna tried to have some fun with her. She allowed all the passengers to get off of the car. The doors would close before new patrons could get on. It wasn't long before the car was empty except for Ally, Hanna and Cam-Gail.
Ally wanted to say something about the current situation.
"I can see CamNet is watching out for her 'Enforcer'." Ally said.
Hanna noticed it too.
Cam-Gail smiled at them. She was very pleased with the current circumstances. She also liked doing special assignments for CamNet.
"Now we're the only ones in the car. The doors won't open at any of the stops." Hanna said.
Cam-Gail liked the ride now.
"The Warriors didn't have the world's most sophisticated computer system looking out for them." Cam-Gail said. "We do."
Ally and Hanna liked to see the assortment of patrons.
"Now it's just a boring ride." Hanna said.
It was just the opposite to Cam-Gail.
"This is a superior ride." Cam-Gail said.
Ally wanted to see some of the freaks and weird people who got on and off. There seemed to be an abundance of them in the Bay Area.
"Now we don't need to worry about getting 'jumped'." Ally said. "There won't be any head busting on this trip."
Cam-Gail could do without damaging Cam's sheath.
"Now I like it." Cam-Gail said. "Can you dig it?"
Ally and Hanna looked at each other but said nothing. They were aware the current situation was a result of their earlier attempt to mess with Cam-Gail. Since CamNet was clearly involved, they knew not to rock the boat.
Savannah quickly grabbed a few things for CamNet. She'd set them aside earlier. She headed for the carpool. There was a level of excitement building as she thought about where she was headed. She thought about stopping by Sheila's room, but decided against it. She could bring some 'toys' or 'marital aids' another time. She didn't want to have them with her if she stopped to see Young Allison later on.
Cammy was waiting for her when she reached the carpool.
"Do you want to drive?" Cammy asked.
Savannah wondered why Cammy asked. She normally needed to ask Cammy. She looked down at the bag of items she carried. She wanted to maintain control of them.
"You can drive." Savannah said.
She didn't want Cammy to look at what she'd brought for CamNet.
The cable car ride reached the terminus at the Powell-Mason turnaround on Taylor Street.
The group thanked the cable car operators and the guide. Cameron slipped them each a few hundred dollars bills. They were very happy to receive a tip. She'd given each of them a hundred dollar bill before they'd started out. She told them to make sure no one else boarded the car. They were very willing to comply.
"Fisherman's Wharf is just down the street." Cameron said.
They headed down Taylor Street and went past the 'Fisherman's Wharf' sign.
Cameron led the group to a well known seafood restaurant for lunch.
The manager was waiting for them when they walked in. He greeted them and identified himself. CamNet made sure they would get the best service. Their food would be the best quality too.
"I have your waterfront table waiting for you." The manager said.
Cameron thanked him and slipped him a few hundred dollar bills.
The waiter was there now and handed them menus.
Cameron didn't want anyone to hold back.
"Get whatever you want." Cameron said. "I like it when everyone is happy."
No sooner than they'd placed their order, and the waiter left, when another two servers arrived. Bread bowls of clam chowder were placed in front of all of them.
Allison could see the VIP treatment continued.
"That's service with a smile." Allison said.
They soon received their entrees.
'Tony' shared with 'Barbara' and 'Sue' while 'Peggy' shared with 'Mysti' and 'Ann' shared with 'Lisa'.
Mary, Laura and Leticia all ordered lobster.
They all agreed the food was the best seafood ever. Cameron offered to get them anything else they wanted. Everyone was good. Anyone who needed a restroom break took it.
When they finished up, they headed out.
Allison looked down the Embarcadero towards the ship. She'd already walked the distance earlier.
"It looks like a long walk." Allison said.
Holly immediately put her hand up to Allison's neck.
Laura looked at where they needed to go.
"It's no longer than the walk here was." Laura said.
CamNet covered all the bases for them.
John spotted something cool headed their way.
"Hey, here comes the PCC streetcar that's painted for 'Pacific Electric'." John said. "It's marked as a 'Charter'."
Cameron smiled. She wanted to squeeze in another San Francisco icon. The historic trolleys were all part of the 'San Francisco experience'.
"It's our ride back to the ship." Cameron said.
Mary found the timing to be quite profound.
"You're kidding." Mary said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She wasn't known for kidding around.
"No." Cameron said.
The 'Pacific Electric' streetcar pulled up to their group and stopped. They all got on. They were the only ones on it other than the operator.
Mary still couldn't get over the timing.
"How was it timed so perfectly?" Mary asked.
Sheila wanted to keep the questions to a minimum.
"We're a lucky group who doesn't need questions, love." Sheila said. "Enjoy what's available."
Allison and Hanna sat with Mary and Laura and Sheila sat with Leticia.
"It's a short ride." Cameron said. "It's only about six minutes."
The 'Pacific Electric' streetcar stopped across from the ship and let them off. They headed for the VIP entrance.
Bob was there to greet them.
"I've been waiting for you." Bob said.
It brought a round of smiles.
None of the team commented this time because the girls from the ship were with them.
Cam-Gail, Ally and Hanna previously arrived five minutes before them. They were all back on board the ship.
Dan and Frank watched them board.
"I guess we're done here." Frank said.
They both received a new message from CamNet. Something just developed.
"I guess we're not done yet." Dan said.
They received instructions to meet the Blackhawk soon. There was a priority mission in the works.
They hoped later on they would be able to clean up the streets of San Francisco a little more. They looked forward to spreading a little 'law and order' to some of the other communities on their way back to the Los Angeles area.
CamNet's Terminators neared the next location. They would arrive there in approximately one minute.
There'd been some travel time between the two locations.
Tina was ready with both of her suppressed weapons. She was worried about one thing.
"How do we know there aren't any girls being held at any of these locations?" Tina asked.
Lena was aware the bullets would hit whatever was in their path.
"We can only go on the information we're provided with." Lena said. "The current gang has only been known to run drugs. Once they get further established, they'll probably branch out."
Tina was aware it was how things operated.
"Our goal is to make sure both of the gangs take each other out." Tina said. "I think with the message we sent today, it's likely to happen."
Lena could see they were close to their target.
"We're ten seconds out." Lena said.
Tina moved both of the barrels out the window a few inches.
"I have target acquisition." Tina said.
Tina fired both weapons simultaneously. She delivered one hundred and sixty rounds on the target. White smoke drifted off both of the barrels as she brought the weapons back inside. She immediately changed the magazines. She put in the last remaining hundred round magazine in one M4, and a sixty round magazine in the second M4.
Lena increased her speed when she heard both bolts lock open. She did some evasive driving as she left the scene.
The drone over them didn't indicate they picked up a tail. The drone conducted a sweep over their next target and returned to their previous targets. The drone did detect some activity at the first location they'd visited. It was still burning ferociously. There wouldn't be an emergency response. There was however a black sedan which arrived. It parked in back of the vehicle already there with the doors open. It was the one Lena left. Two men exited the black sedan and entered the building with weapons in their hands. The Syndicate offshoot would be able to find the two men they'd left in the office along with two of their own men.
The drone passed over the first and second gang targets. There was no activity whatsoever. It was possible everyone inside of both buildings had been terminated.
The drone passed over them and then the third gang target. It was possible they may have been alerted.
"It looks like our next target might be hot." Lena said.
Tina was ready to engage any threat.
"We will prevail." Tina said.
CamNet didn't want any unnecessary damage to her two Terminators. She decided to do a high altitude gravity shot. It would send the same message. The shot pattern would be very limited and widely dispersed. The goal was to get the two different gangs to fight each other.
Lena and Tina were told to disengage from the third target. They were advised where there was a new vehicle they should acquire. They headed in the direction indicated.
They watched the drone footage as the 'metal hail' hit the building. Two figures staggered out of the building with weapons a few seconds later. They both showed bullet wounds. They got into a vehicle and drove away.
They inquired if they should take up a loose pursuit of the fleeing vehicle. They were advised to do the vehicle swap and they would be directed to a new target. The drone would find out where the other vehicle went.
CamNet's Terminators were directed to go to the location where the box truck returned earlier. They were to make a front door entry. It wouldn't be done 'Terminator style'.
Jill didn't really have a goal or a purpose. She just felt she needed to do something to keep the 'terrorists' in check. People who laughed about the world blowing up shouldn't be out on the street. She really wondered what happened to the 'secret agent'.
She looked around the interior of the vehicle as she drove. She found an energy drink and another bottle of water inside of a plastic bag. There was a packet of anti drowsy tablets in there as well. She took a few of those and drank the energy drink. She saved the bottle of water. She didn't know how long the ride was going to be.
She already consumed one bottle of water earlier. After she consumed the energy drink, she felt the need to relieve herself. She wasn't quite sure how he was going to do it. She didn't want to do it where she was sitting. She would if she needed to. They'd passed through a few small communities.
They were currently in a more rural section. There was one smaller truck in front of her and the big rigs were further up ahead. There was no one behind her. She'd found a napkin earlier. She put it in her shirt pocket. She pulled over to the side. She slid over into the passenger seat and exited outside. She pulled her pants down immediately. She'd read somewhere the average urination time was twenty one seconds. She winced as she felt a burning pain. She knew she was a mess down there. She counted off the seconds. She was two seconds longer than the average. She used the napkin and winced some more. She briefly looked at it before she dropped it. She didn't see anything else on there besides the urine. She pulled her pants up and got back in the car.
She'd left it running in 'Park'. She quickly dropped it into 'Drive' and pulled back on the highway after she checked behind her. There were still no vehicles behind her. She stayed on the accelerator pretty hard until she caught back up to the smaller truck. She drifted over to the side a little bit to make sure the big rigs were still up ahead. They were. She looked at the fuel gauge. She still thought she had a couple more hours of driving time.
She questioned what she was doing again. She was really sore where she'd been abused. She pulled open her top a little bit and looked down inside. She was sore up there as well. She could see some bruising. The men had been very rough with her. She looked over at the gun on the seat next to her.
Jill wanted some payback. Maybe it was what she was doing. She also wondered about the fate of the 'secret agent'.
The female Fanatic decided to try and reprogram one of the HK Tracks. She really hoped it didn't become active in the back of the big rig as she worked on it. If it looked like she was successful on the first one, she would work on the second one. Maybe she could get a little more sleep in. She wasn't sure how long her journey was going to last.
She could hear someone crying. It wasn't the type of crying from physical pain. It was the type of crying from emotional pain. It was very deep and sobbing. It was clear it was someone who attempted to control what was happening, and losing the battle.
She was in a dark room. She could see where the door was at. Light came in around it. The crying was outside somewhere. She went to the doorway and reached for the door handle. It took her a while to find it. She opened the door and needed to raise her forearm in front of her eyes. The light seemed very bright. She slowly lowered her arm down. There seemed to be a lot of activity where she was at. She wasn't quite sure where it was. She wasn't sure where she'd been or how she got into where she was at. She didn't know where she wanted to go either. Wait, it was to find where she'd heard the crying.
People passed by her on both sides. It looked like some of them were going to bump into her but none of them did. She began to wonder if they were really there, or just some type of holograms. She didn't want to reach out and touch one and have the person get angry at her. She followed the sound of the crying.
Wait, maybe they weren't holograms. Maybe they were ghosts. She began to wonder if she'd reached Ascension. If she did, it wasn't what she'd expected. She expected everything to be neat and orderly. They didn't seem to really be anything there other than people moving back and forth.
She remembered when she held her arm up in front of her eyes earlier. She was wearing some type of white outfit. It slowly dawned on her everyone else was dressed exactly the same way. She looked down at herself as she went with the flow of the crowd. Everyone was dressed identical, including her.
Panic began to set in. She reached out to touch the other people. They were all gone. She looked around to see where they'd went. There was nothing but the white hallway. The people were just gone.
One thing still persisted. It was the deep emotional pain someone was in. She continued to follow the sound. There was someone up ahead. They were dressed in ragged clothing. Their back was to her. She walked up and touched them. She could feel them, they were real. The person's head turned around to look at her. She staggered backwards a step. She fell on her rear end. The face which looked at her was her face. It was her face after she'd first been abused. It was her. It was her she'd heard crying.
Her eyes shot open. She was in darkness. She could still feel the truck bouncing around. She could hear the road noise as well as the exhaust. She was still on the road. She was breathing heavily. She could feel her heart pounding. She could feel her cheeks were wet. She reached up and touched one side. She must have been crying.
The female Fanatic didn't like any of her dreams. They'd all been nightmares so far. She took out one of the phones and checked the time. She'd been asleep for a few more hours. She still had all of her weapons. She started to work on the second HK Track.
We're Not Done Yet
A life is wasted
If it's filled with regret
When they look in the mirror
They see a threat
Everyday plays out different
It's a form of roulette
Someone else pulls the strings
As they dance like a marionette
What everything is about
It's easy to forget
Is there really anyone there
Or just a blank silhouette
Good deeds should be viewed
As a positive asset
They shouldn't be the foundation
Of some type of debt
It's a sunrise not a sunset
There's no need to be upset
When we can do a reset
We're not done yet
Nobody
