Here is chapter 2/2 for today!
Tuesday, September 22, 1998
The GMS was a Monday, Wednesday, Friday school, so Hermione and Theo had the day off. She was currently spread out on a couch in Theo's office, while he rubbed her feet. "Are you ready for your shower tomorrow?" Theo asked conversationally.
"I don't really know what to expect, especially with the combination of the Equinox and shower," Hermione said with a sigh. "Also what could people possibly give us? We have everything we need and what we don't have we can just buy!"
"I think you'd be surprised at what people give to Magical parents. I've been reading What to Expect When You're Expecting, and I have to s-"
Hermione launched herself at him and straddled his lap. "It's so sexy when you talk about being a dad," she groaned as his hands came to rest on her hips.
"I'm not even talking about being a dad, love just the expect-"
Hermione slammed her mouth against his and kissed him firmly. "I really like this stage of pregnancy, please mount me any time you want," he groaned as she began sucking on his pulse point.
"I intend to," she said mischievously.
"Master and Mistress be having visitors," Gertie said abruptly, popping in.
"Gods will we never give a fucking moment alone," Theo groaned.
Hermione switched on her disguise and settled back with her feet on Theo's lap. Pansy and Daphne rushed into the room moments later. "Oh good, you're both here," Daphne said. "Good or bad news first?"
"Good?" Hermione said curiously.
"Astoria had the punishment of the century. Mother and Father told her that if she continues her behaviour her inheritance and dowry will be revoked," Daphne said gleefully.
Hermione had to bite back her retort about dowries being outdated, "Why are you happy about that?" she asked with a smirk. "I mean I know why I am, the meddling little tramp, but you?"
Daphne groaned, "She always lorded having Draco Malfoy as her betrothed over me. Nevermind that I'm quite pleased with my match. She looked like she'd swallowed a bucket of hippogriff dung when Father brought her home on Friday."
"Is that where he went?" Theo asked, "I was surprised not to see you all at the dinner."
"Yes," Daphne said gleefully. "She's going to have to work extra hard to get back in Mother and Father's good graces, which is amazing because she's always been the spoiled one of the family. It always seemed like she could do no wrong, and now…"
Hermione smiled, a little part of her felt bad about Astoria, but Draco and Theo were her soulmates, so at the end of the day, she couldn't be bothered to do anything about the slight guilt.
"Okay what's the bad news?" Hermione asked after the girls had served themselves tea from the pot in the centre of the table.
"My parents are in betrothal talks," Pansy said shortly.
"Oh, that's…" Hermione trailed off, not wanting to give away her real feelings.
"TO RODOLPHUS LESTRANGE!" Pansy wept.
"But he's so… old," Hermione said, wrinkling her nose.
"They're not even talking about Rabastian?" Theo asked, tilting his head in thought. "Rab's not that much older than us and from everything I heard he was only like a year or two older than Regulus."
"I know!" Pansy shrieked, "and from what I can tell Rabastian isn't all that keen on the whole business, although he's forced along by his family ties. We've been spending lots of time with the LeStranges."
Daphne cringed, "What are we going to do? We can't leave Pansy to this fate."
"When do they want you to get married?" Hermione asked after a few moments of thought.
"Next year some time," Pansy said, crying now. "I'm not even attracted to men, and now I have to marry one I don't even like as a person!"
"We'll figure something out, Pans," Daphne cooed, setting their tea cups down and hugging the distraught witch.
"We will," Theo said firmly.
