Chapter 1409

Leftovers

Cammy drove the group to the Chinese restaurant Young Allison picked out. She was pleased to see Savannah get a good meal in. They ate at the restaurant and then headed back to the Young residence.

Young Allison was very pleased Savannah seemed to like the place she'd picked to eat at.

"What did you think about the food?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah liked the Chinese food Young Allison selected. They brought back a couple of take home containers of food with them. They were the traditional container with the small wire handle.

"I thought it was good." Savannah said. "I haven't had Chinese food for awhile. The change was good. I was just glad there was no weird stuff."

There were several seafood dishes she really didn't want to try. Maybe it was the way the creatures looked before they were slaughtered. Animals with tentacles and extra legs gave her an uneasy feeling.

Savannah would have been happy with the Fifties and Sixties diner. She knew it was a place Young Allison liked as well.

Cammy heard Savannah reference 'weird stuff' a few times. She wanted to know more. It seemed to her living animals, were living animals, before they weren't living and became food.

"What would have been 'weird stuff'?" Cammy asked.

Savannah knew it was more a matter of perspective. Animals were still animals, even if they looked 'different'.

"I meant things like octopus and squid." Savannah said. "I really don't like the way crabs or lobsters look either. They look like giant insects to me."

Cammy tilted her head slightly.

"Those are all good sources of protein." Cammy said. "Protein is important to maintain your health and muscle strength."

Savannah really didn't want to get into it. She would prefer a different topic.

"It may be true, but I still don't like the way they look." Savannah said. "I'm happy with what we ate. I'm content now. Let's leave it at that."

Cammy was going to offer to let Savannah drive but thought it might make Young Allison ask if she could drive home. She didn't want to spoil Savannah's mood. She was aware it always worried Savannah when Young Allison drove. It may have sparked from the fact Allison wasn't a careful driver. It was because Cameron taught her how to drive. She actually thought Young Allison was a much better driver than Allison. She thought Young Allison was a much better driver than most of the people out on the road.

Young Allison paid extra attention to what was happening around them as they drove since she'd sent two thirds of her Detail away earlier to assist Savannah.

Cammy passed by a park as she drove back towards the Young residence.

Young Allison spied something which caught her eye as they drove by the park.

"Cammy, don't step on the brake or slow down. Go around the block and come by here again." Young Allison said.

Savannah, Cammy and Anna became combat alert.

"What is it?" Savannah asked. "Is it a threat?"

It wasn't the reaction Young Allison hoped to spark.

"I don't think so." Young Allison said. "I want to check something out."

CamNet contacted Cammy for targeting information.

'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' both went 'hot'. Their weapons were armed.

"The drones with us are searching for a target." Cammy said. "What is it?"

Young Allison could see things were about to get away from her. She wanted to put the brakes on things immediately.

"Everyone needs to relax and take a step back." Young Allison said. "It's not a threat to us. I just saw something on the other side of the park."

Cammy already turned twice and was on the backside of the park. She pulled over and stopped.

"Anna will close in on the target from this side." Cammy said.

It wasn't how Young Allison thought things were going to play out. She thought it was probably more of a personal issue. It was something which bothered her greatly and made her feel very uncomfortable. It was something she thought didn't need to happen.

"It's not a target." Young Allison said. "I saw someone dig through the trash and then eat something they took out of it."

Anna looked at her phone.

"'Cherry Bomb' has acquired the target." Anna said.

Savannah and Young Allison checked their phones.

"It's not a target." Savannah said. "It's someone down on their luck."

Savannah understood what Young Allison wanted to do. She wanted to give the food they'd brought back with them to take home to the person. Young Allison didn't want to spook them by stopping and coming back to them. It would seem like an 'attack' of some type to the person involved. It was an effective strategy to use some tact and restraint in this instance. She'd dealt with the homeless on multiple occasions with Cameron. Things didn't always turn out as anticipated. A few even resulted in terminations.

Young Allison felt a lot of justification for her desire to act.

"I don't like to see someone eat out of the trash." Young Allison said. "I wanted to give them some of our food. I know the girls from the future, which includes Allison, who is really ME, needed to eat garbage to survive. It's not anything to look forward to."

Cammy pulled away from the curb and resumed her trek around the park. She didn't think it was necessary to become involved. 'Street people' were usually disease ridden. She didn't want the girls to get anywhere near them.

"We'll probably spook them anyway when we stop." Cammy said. "We can return to the Young residence instead."

Savannah knew things happened sometimes when Cameron and her approached homeless people. Many of them hated 'do gooders' too. It was another problem.

Young Allison wanted to maintain some control of the situation.

"We're going to stop anyway. Anna and I can get out at the end of the block and approach them on foot." Young Allison said.

Anna thought it sounded like an unnecessary mission. It was late too. Young Allison should be at home getting cleaned up to either study or get some sleep.

"I'll go alone." Anna said. "The night holds great danger."

Young Allison knew there were two drones over them.

"I think with two drones and two Terminators we should be OK." Young Allison said. "There are two more drones around the house as well."

Savannah wanted to play it safe. She would accompany Young Allison instead.

"I'll go with Allison." Savannah said. "Anna can move into the park and flank us. Cammy will remain in the SUV and can drive up to us in seconds. The bumper makes a good weapon."

Savannah remembered the night when she ran down a group of Grays one time. It killed all of them. It pretty much totaled the SUV which was already beat up and near stopping anyway. She could picture it again now. One of the Grays was stuck underneath the SUV and his limbs and head were all torn off. They were left bouncing around behind them.

Cammy and Anna were both against the idea to stop to 'help' a 'street person'. They both made their objections clear. It was what the 'Chosen Ones' proclaimed they wanted to do. They couldn't do any more to dissuade them than what they'd already done.

Young Allison didn't think they would need to wait for the arrival of the SUV to be used as a weapon.

"I'll be armed." Young Allison said. "We both will be armed."

Savannah checked her Taser and M9. Young Allison checked her Taser and Model 66.

Cammy stopped before she turned the corner to go back onto the main street where they'd passed the homeless person the first time.

Savannah and Young Allison got out and walked on the sidewalk of the main street.

Anna got out and moved deeper into the park. She would remain out of sight, but close enough so she could keep an eye on Savannah and Young Allison. She would make sure no threats materialized and blindsided them.

Young Allison walked alongside Savannah. She was still a little uneasy about the action the others wanted to take. She felt she needed to say something about what they were doing.

"I didn't think this would turn out to be such a hassle." Young Allison said. "I'm sorry about it."

Savannah liked the compassion Young Allison showed. It helped keep her 'human side' alive. She liked it because Young Allison came up with the idea to try to help someone on her own.

"Sometimes it's nice to have help." Savannah said. "You know I've done this with Cameron before."

Young Allison tried to follow whatever Savannah did when she was away from the base. She thought it was more than just spying. She wanted to know how she was supposed to act when it was her turn. She didn't want to let Savannah down.

"I do." Young Allison said.

Savannah wanted to make sure Young Allison understood everything. It wasn't always pleasant to interact with the 'street people'. Many of them suffered from mental health issues. Most of them were given the opportunity to live in shelters or other assisted housing locations. Some of them were private, some of them were governmental agencies. The point was, there were other options available to the majority of homeless if they chose to use them. They didn't want to give up their independence and freedom.

"Sometimes people don't like to see us." Savannah said. "This is a chosen lifestyle for many."

Maybe what bothered Young Allison the most was because she'd witnessed it with her own eyes. She didn't like what she saw. It was one thing to hear about someone eating food from the trash. It was another thing to actually watch them remove it from the trash can and put it in their mouth. It made her think about what Allison told her some of her meals consisted of in the future.

"Everything you said is true." Young Allison said. "We have extra food right now. I saw them eat what they took out of the trash. It could be me in the future. Allison told me about what some of it was like. No one should need to eat out of the trash. Not in this time period anyway."

Savannah didn't want to get into what the girls from the future experienced. She looked back. Cammy was on the main street now. She was ready to move forward at a moment's notice. She knew Anna would be close by a little deeper in the park. She hoped her previous experience would help prevent, or provoke, an incident.

"Let me speak with them first." Savannah said. "I should be able to tell how it is going to go in the first few seconds. Keep in mind we could be attacked. Right now we're the interlopers in someone else's 'home'. You can't expect them to react the same way as if someone was in your home."

Young Allison's hand hovered near her Model 66. She focused her attention on her Taser instead. She didn't want anyone to die over some leftovers. She didn't want someone to die because she wanted to help them.

Savannah and Young Allison approached the person. They were bent down inside another trash can.

They watched as the person pulled out a half eaten piece of pizza from the trash can. They looked thrilled at their find.

"Excuse me." Savannah said.

The person jumped back a little. They seemed a little less threatened to see two females standing on the sidewalk.

"Go away." The person said.

Young Allison didn't like how 'scared' the person looked. They weren't a threat to the person.

"Hello. We have some warm food." Young Allison said. "We just picked it up at a restaurant. We were going to take it home. We have plenty to share. You can have some."

Savannah didn't want Young Allison to get ahead of herself but she was doing OK with her approach. It wasn't aggressive. It was inclusive.

They watched the person fold the half eaten piece of pizza in half and put it in their pocket. They were obviously going to save it for later.

The person pushed their hoodie back and they could see blonde hair. It was a female.

"You girls shouldn't be out this late." The female said. "Bad things happen around here, especially at night."

The female looked around nervously.

Savannah wanted to play it cool.

"We're on our way home." Savannah said. "We were just passing by."

Young Allison held out two food containers. The female didn't approach them.

Savannah wanted to break the tension. She pointed at a bench.

"We'll set them down." Savannah said. "We don't want to cause a problem."

Young Allison set them on a park bench and they backed away. The behavior of the female bothered her immensely. She appeared somewhat terrified of her surroundings.

"We don't mean to cause you any trouble." Young Allison said. "We just had some extra food and I wanted to share it."

The female came over and picked up one of the containers. She sniffed it.

"It's still warm." The female said. "I haven't had any warm food in weeks."

She opened the top and reached inside with dirty fingers and started to eat some of the food.

"I have a plastic fork." Savannah said. "It's still in the wrapper."

Savannah took it out and held it up.

The female came closer and took it from Savannah but backed up right away. She wanted to make sure the two females who'd just given her some food understood her earlier warning. She believed one act of kindness should be reciprocated with another.

"You both need to cross the street and stay away from the side of the park down there." The female said. "There's a crew down there tonight. They jumped me earlier. They'll definitely jump both of you."

Savannah understood what the female meant. The female indicated she'd been abused earlier.

"Thank you for the warning." Savannah said.

Young Allison didn't like what she heard. She understood the implication. She wanted some clarification.

"Do you mean they robbed you?" Young Allison asked.

The female looked up from her food for a second.

Savannah knew where it was going.

"They did some 'other things'." The female said. "It's happened before."

The female looked at Savannah and then at Young Allison intently. It was who she directed her next comment to.

"I don't think you want your 'first time' to be at the hands of a gang of thugs." The female said. "Listen to me."

Savannah turned around to go back the way they'd come.

"We'll go a different way." Savannah said. "Thanks again for the warning. Let's go."

Young Allison didn't like what she'd interpreted things to mean. She wanted to make sure before she took any further action. She planned to 'make a statement' before they went home.

"Did they abuse you?" Young Allison asked.

The female looked up from her food.

"It's about the tenth time this month." The female said. "They come around every two or three days and jump all the females when it gets dark."

Savannah wondered why the drones didn't pick them up.

"How long ago was this?" Savannah asked. "We don't want to run into them."

Young Allison did want to run into them. She'd trained on a scenario like this a few days ago. The people the female spoke of were no different than Scavengers. They should be dealt with as such.

"It was a couple of hours ago." The female said. "They may be back. They usually move on and look for more females elsewhere."

Young Allison didn't understand how the female could be so unconcerned about what happened to her.

"Is there some place else you can go?" Young Allison asked.

The female finished the first container. She threw the container towards the trash can. It didn't make it and landed on the ground in front of it. She started in on the second one. She wiped her mouth with her sleeve and looked up.

"No one cares what happens to us." The female said. "We're 'trash' to everyone. The police won't even take a report unless we go down to the station. They don't even respond to calls for help from the street people. They said what happens to us is our own fault. They said if we weren't out on the street, it wouldn't happen in the first place."

Savannah knew Cammy was going to be steamed over the female's story. She'd been on a few 'special operations' with Cameron before. She wanted to offer her at least a little safer environment.

"Do you want to go to a shelter tonight?" Savannah asked. "We can go there together."

The female laughed. It wasn't a joyful laugh.

"The one around here is just as bad. It was where I was first 'taken' at." The female said. "I went there for help. It wasn't what I got."

The female looked at Young Allison.

"I was about your age." The female said. "It's where I got 'popped' after I ran away from home. It happened on the first night I was there. It hurt like Hell and I cried all night. It was only a little over a year ago. It's happened a lot since then too. I don't even care anymore unless they beat me. It happens too sometimes. I really don't know why. I just lay there and let it happen now. It's going to happen anyway."

The female went on to tell them a little more about her 'story'. It was the same story Savannah previously heard a dozen times over. The females usually came from a broken home and there was an abusive step dad or boyfriend of the mother. Most of the females were abused before they ran away. Often the mother wouldn't believe them or said they were trashy sluts who tried to steal their lover from them. Some were kicked out. Others ran away when it happened again. The females they'd picked up at the old newspaper plant were another example of it. They'd ended up enslaved in a 'stable'.

Savannah didn't like what she heard about the shelter. It was something they'd encountered a couple of times. Some of the people in charge would 'pimp' out the new arrivals to a known clientele base for hard cash. Younger females brought top dollar, especially if they were 'first day' runaways. They were usually disease free. It didn't last long.

The female finished her story and the second container of food. She picked up the first container which was lying in front of the trash can and threw it in the trash can along with the second container.

Savannah hoped to obtain a little more information.

"We don't want to run into the crew who jumped you. Is there some other place they go when they leave here?" Savannah asked. "We would hate to go there and find them."

The female heard stories from others she ran into at times. Every female she had some type of acquaintance with, had been abused by the same group on multiple occasions as well.

"They hit the park down on S Street sometimes or hang out near the encampment by the railroad tracks." The female said. "They jumped me once there too. I was lucky that night. They only went one time each because they bagged three of us. Usually they all go twice. It's what happened to me earlier tonight."

Savannah looked at Young Allison. She looked steamed. She knew Young Allison was going to want some blood.

"How many are in this crew?" Young Allison asked.

The homeless female thought about it for a few seconds.

"It varies." The female said. "It's usually three to five. Tonight there were only four of them."

Savannah offered to get the female real help if she wanted it. She said she didn't. She thanked them for the food. She warned them again about the far end of the park and then disappeared into the night.

Savannah checked her phone. The drone image showed her moving away towards a thicker group of trees. Anna came out of the darkness and joined them. The girl passed by Anna but didn't see her.

Young Allison looked Anna up and then down. She'd already made plans about what she wanted to happen.

"I guess you know where you're going tonight." Young Allison said.

Anna already figured out what Young Allison was going to do.

"After we find 'the crew' and terminate them, it will be to the shelter and see if I'm 'sold' or targeted." Anna said.

Young Allison looked at Savannah. She wanted her approval.

Savannah nodded slightly. She knew it would bring trouble as well. It was something they shouldn't get involved with. The homeless female already told them the police didn't seem to care what happened to them. She didn't think anyone should be abused by anyone else, regardless of their housing situation. It was clear the perpetrators would be Scavengers in the future if they survived J-Day.

Young Allison gave Anna a faint smile.

"It's what I'd like to see happen." Young Allison said.

Cammy pulled up a few seconds later. They got into the SUV.

Savannah still wanted to offer Young Allison the option to walk away.

"You know this will breed trouble." Savannah said. "If you go looking for it, you'll find it."

Young Allison was well acquainted with Cameron's 'side operations'. CamNet provided her with all the information she'd asked for about them. None of the details were lost on her. She also was aware of Sheila's extreme actions. She believed they were justified based upon the crimes committed. She believed Savannah wanted the same thing she did.

"I know." Young Allison said. "I read all the reports. It's also why I know you're on board with it."

Savannah wanted justice too. It would be street justice. It was clear the perpetrators were all future Scavengers. She was aware of many of the things which happened to the girls from the future. They happened to Vanna. They happened to her. She wanted to establish some parameters before they started.

"It will be the Terminators only who go in." Savannah said. "There's no exception to the rule. You need to know there may be some sheath damage to them."

Young Allison wanted retribution.

"I'll take volunteers." Young Allison said. "I'm willing to go myself."

Savannah almost laughed. Since it was already clear Young Allison wanted it done, every Terminator would volunteer to go.

Cammy checked on their air support.

"I've received a request for either 'Coltan Overcast' or 'Cherry Bomb' to start searching the other locations the girl indicated." Cammy said. "They should be able to acquire the targets in a short time."

Another SUV pulled up alongside of them before it backed up and parked behind them. It was Mel, Brian and Randy. CamNet must have released Brian and Randy from the earlier operation to return to their 'duty assignment'. It was most likely because Savannah was upset with the decision to send them away in the first place.

Young Allison felt very confident about their current situation. Her Detail was back at full strength. They normally didn't have air support. They were actually ahead of the situation with the additional assistance.

"Send both of the drones so they can find the targets faster." Young Allison said. "We have some muscle to back our play now."

Cammy sent the message.

"They've started the search." Cammy said.

Young Allison looked into the darkness of the park. She didn't like leaving the homeless female behind.

"What about the female?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah didn't know what they could do tonight. The first issue at hand was to find out what was happening at the shelter. The fastest way to find out what would really happen, was currently available to them.

"Let's check out the shelter and see if we can't determine what needs to be done there." Savannah said. "I think they're going to be two new 'runaways' checking in tonight."

Savannah looked at Cammy and Anna. She wanted to give them the option to not participate. What they were about to do was the same as one of Cameron's 'off the books' operations.

"It's only if they want to do it." Savannah said. "This is outside the scope of the Resistance operations. No one is obligated to do it."

Young Allison didn't see Scavengers, future or otherwise, as not a Resistance problem.

"The future dictates otherwise." Young Allison said. "Let's get started."

The two SUVs drove to a location near the shelter.

Brian and Randy got into the front seat of the SUV when Cammy and Anna got out a block away from the shelter.

Young Allison was a little worried for them as they got out.

"Be careful." Young Allison said.

Anna looked back but Cammy didn't.

Savannah looked behind them. Mel was in the other SUV a block in back of them. She knew things were going to need to play out on their own.

"All we can do now is wait." Savannah said.

Young Allison made other plans. She planned to act as soon as she could.

"If the crew is spotted, we're going to take them down." Young Allison said.

Savannah knew a bad idea when she heard one. She wanted to support the Metal girls on the inside. She was worried about both of them as well. It didn't matter if they were Terminators or not. They were still people she cared about. It didn't matter if they were 'mechanical people'.

"We need to be here for Cammy and Anna." Savannah said.

Young Allison made other plans. She believed there were sufficient Terminators there to handle any situation which might arise.

"We'll leave Brian and Randy here to back them up." Young Allison said. "We're going with Mel to take down the crew."

Brian and Randy looked at each other. They were there to protect Savannah and Young Allison. They knew they would need to follow the directives of the 'Chosen Ones'. It appeared as if the 'Chosen Ones' were about to have a split decision. It would make everything very complicated.

Savannah wanted to maintain control. Everything needed to be thought through first. If they only reacted to events, they weren't the ones in control.

"Don't get tunnel vision." Savannah said. "Things like this happen all the time and they happen everywhere. It's the same thing in every city, and every country, around the world. It's standard fare for runaways."

Young Allison saw it as part of the problem, if not the problem itself.

"It's because no one does anything about it." Young Allison said. "When there's no punishment, there's no 'crime'. It becomes 'normal' to everyone. Nobody cares."

Young Allison decided she was going to 'invite' Sheila to come and stay with her for 'extra protection'. Sheila would go with her and they would prowl the night and clean some of the trouble up. Maybe Jesse and Gail would want to come along. It was what everyone thought they did when they went out, since they never did anything else. Jesse, and Sheila through the 'Neural Interface', had an ax to grind with Scavengers in any time period. Hanna and Ally would back Sheila up for any such action needed in that regard. They knew what the girls from the future went through. It was on all of their chips.

Savannah could see this was a real issue for Young Allison. Maybe there were things Allison told Young Allison she didn't know about. She was aware Vanna still dealt with some issues the same way. Whatever happened to Allison and Vanna, is really what happened to Young Allison and her in their future. She wanted to see how far Young Allison was willing to go. She wanted to see what level of ferocity she wanted to use.

"Do you want them arrested, maimed or terminated?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison wished Sheila was with them now. She would like to see them maimed before they were terminated.

Savannah and Young Allison both received a message on their phones.

"It looks like 'Cherry Bomb' has acquired the targets." Young Allison said.

Savannah considered ordering 'Cherry Bomb' to take them out right now. She could see it wasn't possible. It appeared they had a victim in their grasp. They were all clustered around someone on the ground. It appeared they'd just 'caught' them.

"They have someone." Savannah said.

Young Allison wanted action. She didn't want the person on the ground to be injured or hit by friendly fire. She thought about when Savannah mowed down the group of Grays with the SUV at the old helicopter base. The same thing could happen there. It would just be a little different.

"We can ram them. I want 'Cherry Bomb' to physically knock them down." Young Allison said. "It will cause them to scatter if nothing else when the drone drops down. It will stop the abuse before it can start."

Savannah was worried about exposure. It would put a drone within eyesight of any potential witnesses or bystanders.

"We need to see what else is there." Savannah said.

From the drone footage they could see them pull the pants off of someone. The abuse would start within a few seconds.

Young Allison wanted it stopped now.

"Do it anyway. Do it now." Young Allison said. "Make it a high speed impact."

Savannah noticed 'Coltan Overcast' was there now as well. It maintained a higher attitude as 'Cherry Bomb' swooped down from the night sky and aimed directly at the crew. It impacted two of the crew who were standing. They both went flying. They landed about fifty feet away from the high speed impact site. It was clear they were both dead. It was the same as if they were just hit by a car traveling at a high rate of speed.

The other two who'd stripped the pants off the individual on the ground got up and ran in different directions.

They were all a little surprised at the drone image of the individual on the ground. The person who got up and put their pants back on was a male teenager. They ran off in the opposite direction. It was doubtful they saw what actually happened, but they would have heard it.

Young Allison didn't want the two crew members who weren't killed outright to get away. She believed the two killed in the initial impact got off lucky.

"I want 'Cherry Bomb' and 'Coltan Overcast' to track them." Young Allison said.

Mel pulled up alongside of their SUV.

"Let's go." Young Allison said.

Savannah and Young Allison hurried and got into Mel's SUV.

Brian and Randy would remain where Anna and Cammy were at.

Savannah didn't want the events to make Young Allison's decisions for her. She wanted her to remain in control. She would first need to remain in control of herself to be able to do so. There were operations she'd been on where she lost her cool. She'd been willing to cross the line more than a few times. Cameron was always there to stop her. She was there to stop Young Allison.

"If they go into a building what are you going to do?" Savannah asked. "You'll lose them. You need to use your resources. Don't make it personal."

Savannah was going to contact John Henry to run interference for them. CamNet informed her she was already doing it and she would handle the 'operation' herself. John Henry wouldn't be directly involved. It wasn't a Resistance matter.

Young Allison understood what Savannah indicated to her. If she waited, one or both of the men could get away. She instructed 'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' to take their targets down ASAP. They were to try and use a single shot if possible.

Savannah was surprised when 'Coltan Overcast' asked if Young Allison wanted the Scavengers 'disabled' if they were in a remote area at the time.

Young Allison received the same message. It was clear what the drone 'offered' her. It would be a 'live one'. She wanted it. She looked over at Savannah. She remembered what she'd just indicated to her. She told her not to make it personal. She told her earlier if they went looking for trouble, they would find it. Maybe there'd been enough trouble already.

"Finish the job and return to Cammy and Anna's location." Young Allison said.

They watched as both drones closed in on the running targets and fired one shot. Both targets went down and no longer moved.

Young Allison needed to think about the situation Anna and Cammy were now in. She needed to keep focus.

"This part of the operation is concluded." Young Allison said. "Let's concentrate on Cammy and Anna."

Cammy went in first and was taken to an 'interview room'. She messed up her hair and clothes before she went in.

Neither of the Metal girls took weapons with them. They were weapons.

Anna arrived a few minutes later as a 'runaway'. She drew the attention of the 'night manager'. She was taken to a separate area away from where Cammy was taken. She was put in a cell for all practical purposes. She believed she was about to be 'sold'.

Cammy and Anna communicated through low decibel 'burst transmissions'.

CamNet played everything in 'real time' for Savannah and Young Allison. It was clear to them what was about to occur.

Young Allison became very worried about what was happening. Maybe it was something they shouldn't have fooled with. Savannah tried to warn her about it.

"Will Cammy be able to get to Anna?" Young Allison asked.

Mel wanted to remind them of something. He hoped it would ease their worries.

"They're both Terminators. Nothing there can stop them." Mel said as he looked at the two girls. "Brian and Randy are ready to go in at any time. We are too if necessary."

Young Allison and Savannah nodded. It made them feel a little better, but not by much. It was still the people they cared about in harm's way. The only good thing about it was the people they were about to face had absolutely no idea what a Terminator was. When they found out, it would be too late.

It looked like Cammy would be processed normally. It was Anna who was secluded and bypassed everything. It seemed there were two men involved in the 'shadow operation'. There was no official indication she'd even arrived at the shelter.

They waited fifteen minutes. A van was spotted by 'Cherry Bomb' as it approached the location.

Young Allison hoped they could acquire a few more targets. There were obviously more than a few individuals involved in what went on. They were all part of the operation. They were all part of the problem. They were all abusers. They facilitated whatever happened, to happen.

"Can anyone track the van back to where it came from?" Young Allison asked. "Use more of the resources currently available to us."

CamNet was able to come up with an approximate location. One of the two drones over the Young residence was directed there to make low level scans of the target area to try and identify a specific location and what was inside. Neither of the drones would have been there under normal circumstances. 'Cherry Bomb' and 'Coltan Overcast' were both available as well.

Savannah wanted to see what planning Young Allison would use.

"How do you want to play it?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison didn't want to 'play around' anymore.

"When the van arrives and they start to take Anna outside, I want Randy and Brian to terminate them." Young Allison said. "Anna will terminate the man taking her out and Cammy will bring the other man out and terminate him. The dead men will all be put in the van."

It sounded like a workable plan to Savannah. It was clear how far Young Allison was willing to go.

"Then what will happen?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison needed to 'clean up' the mess.

"Brian and Randy will leave in the captured van and collect the other four bodies of the crew who were taken down by the drones if possible." Young Allison said. "Mel will retrieve the other SUV and retrieve Brian and Randy. We'll pick up Cammy and Anna with this SUV. We will go home for the night."

It sounded neat and concise to Savannah. There still seem to be a few loose ends.

"What about the location the van came from?" Savannah asked. "There are most likely captives there."

Young Allison could see how things became more involved. It looked like even more bodies would be stacked up before it was over.

"Brian and Randy will park the van in back of the building and leave with Mel." Young Allison said. "CamNet will personally direct Police or Sheriff's personnel to raid the location once our teams are clear. It will become a local law enforcement operation at that point."

Everything went down as Young Allison planned.

Cammy and Anna joined them and they drove back to the Young residence.

Young Allison was worried about the danger and trouble she'd cause for everyone. She personally apologized to Cammy, Anna and Savannah.

Savannah and Young Allison cleaned up and went to bed. It would be sunrise soon.

Anna and Cammy were together inside the bunker.

"What Young Allison did was the right thing." Anna said.

Cammy looked at the monitors in the bunker.

"Apparently…." Cammy said. "The authorities just freed seven females and two young males. They're charging the six men apprehended with homicide, kidnapping and sexual abuse."

Anna smiled. She was proud of Young Allison's actions.

"Even if it's not our 'job', she made a difference tonight." Anna said. "It's a difference which will impact the future going forward. We both know the only cure for 'Scavenger like' behavior is termination."

Cammy knew how things played out.

"Will Young Allison do it again?" Cammy asked.

Anna wasn't sure what Young Allison would do or to what extent.

"I think so." Anna said. "There may be more hesitation to get involved going forward."

Cammy was sure there would be more to follow.

"It's understandable." Cammy said. "A lot of people died tonight without us really trying."

Anna shrugged her shoulders. She didn't like what would have happened to her if she would have been a human female. More than likely she would be abused at this point in time. The perpetrators brought what happened to them upon themselves. It was their own actions which they needed to atone for.

"It happens." Anna said.

Cammy and Anna returned their attention to the monitors. Life went on.

CamNet's Terminators continued their pursuit of the big rigs. They were hours away from any type of interception. They continued in the direction where the big rigs had gone.

They hoped some more information would turn up about the location the white van had come from. They would rather deal with the closer threat now as long as the drones were able to track the big rigs.

They would be better off obtaining a helicopter and flying to the location the big rigs currently were near. They could acquire transportation from a local airport and get to the area much quicker than they could ever drive there.

Lena went through the phones as they drove. She wanted to track down more of the group involved.

"I think I have something." Lena said. "Check out these photos."

One of the phones contained a lot of images. They were all of pretty females.

Tina looked over.

"I recognize some of those locations." Tina said.

Lena did as well.

"We've been by some of them." Lena said. "It appears this is the group who'd been observing some of the targets which were taken down either by the female Fanatic or us."

Tina thought it tied up some of the loose ends.

"It explains some of the mystery groups." Tina said.

Lena really wondered how many of them there were.

"It does show how it's all tied together, even if it's a convoluted mess." Lena said.

CamNet once again redirected her Terminators. There'd been enough information uncovered about the group with the white vans. There was a drone currently headed towards the suspected location.

Jill continued her pursuit of the big rig in the darkness without her headlights on. She often expected to hit something in the middle of the road. So far it had been smooth sailing. Maybe it was because she wasn't too far behind the big rig. The noise it created would probably cause any animals some additional hesitation before they attempted to cross the road.

No sooner than the thought crossed her mind, the car noticeably bumped over something. It was both the front and the rear wheel on the right side. She was sure it was some type of animal. It didn't appear to be a big one. There hadn't been an impact noise with the front end or a fender.

She realized it could have been something one of the big trucks ran over as well. She may have just passed over the remains from a previous encounter. She wasn't about to turn her lights on at this point.

She was at the crest of another small hill. In the far distance, she thought she could spot a momentary flash of red light. It could have been one of the other trucks. As to why they no longer followed each other, it was a mystery to her. She wondered if it was a momentary touch of the brakes or not. It could be anything. It could be another vehicle of some other type as well.

No sooner than the previous thought passed through her mind, she spotted a pair of headlights behind her. She knew it could be anybody. It could be someone connected to the group she currently tailed. Ever since she'd started her trek she always expected someone to show up behind her and stay there. So far it hadn't happened. All of the other vehicles had either passed her or turned off.

She could see the vehicle was closing fast. She tried to gauge the intercept distance. It was hard to spot any landmarks along the way to come up with an accurate time from when she passed it until the other vehicle passed it. It looked like the other vehicle was less than half of a mile behind her.

It seemed like a good time to play possum. She let off the gas and downshifted the vehicle from 'drive' into 'second'. The vehicle dramatically slowed. She put it into 'first' and it slowed even more rapidly. When she was down to ten miles an hour, she put the vehicle into 'neutral'. She began to apply some pressure on the emergency brake. It didn't seem to do much at first but then she could feel the car slow even more. When she was down to five miles an hour, she pulled off onto the shoulder. She sure hoped there wasn't one of the small culverts up ahead and she ended up nose first in a ditch.

She felt her night vision was pretty good at this point in time. She was able to move completely off the road and over to the side. She hoped when the other vehicle passed, it would think it was someone who'd pulled over to get a few hours of sleep. She was able to stop the vehicle without touching the car break itself. She'd been able to do everything in total darkness.

She looked at the headlights grow closer behind her. Right before she'd stopped, she angled the front end over towards the road. It was to keep her rear reflectors from being lit up from any distance. She hoped the other vehicle would pass and not even realize they'd passed another car.

Maybe it was time for some insurance. She reached over and picked up the pistol. She held it firmly in her right hand.

She looked at the tail lights of the truck as they continued off in the distance. She didn't look in the mirror anymore but glanced at the road itself. She could see the headlights were almost to her.

She ducked down as the vehicle passed. She waited a moment before she lifted her head over the dashboard. She saw something she didn't want to see. It was the brake lights of the other vehicle light up. It appeared it was about to stop.

"Damn." Jill said.

Jill wasn't sure what was about to happen. She gripped the pistol tightly and waited. It would all depend if the vehicle stopped and anyone approached her. The vehicle could stop and back up as well. All she could do was wait.

The female Fanatic was sealed tight in the back of the truck. The bumpy and swaying ride continued. She really would have liked to have had something to drink. Everything she brought with her had already been consumed. Maybe it was time to take some more of the anti-drowsy tablets. She didn't like it when she fell asleep.

It was time to think instead. If the truck backed up to some type of dock or warehouse, what was she going to do? She wasn't even sure if the truck would be unloaded. If it was, how could she handle it?

She'd eventually looked in all of the crates as the time went on. The one closest to her is the one which contained the errant electrical device. The crate on the other side contained different electrical parts. She might be able to squeeze on top of those components. If they used a pallet jack to unload the truck, the crates wouldn't be stacked on top of each other. If they used a forklift, more than likely, some of them would be stacked. If she were to actually get into the crate and another one was placed on top of it, she wouldn't be able to get out of it.

She could try to hide behind the most forward HK Track. If they were unloaded with a forklift, as she'd watched them been loaded, no one would spot her immediately. If there were as many men in the dock area or warehouse as there'd been at the location she'd been at previously, someone was bound to see her.

If the truck stopped, maybe it was time to try to get out of it. It could be at a rest station somewhere along the highway or even a truck stop. She might be spotted by someone or she might not. She would more than likely be able to procure an alternate form of transportation to continue the pursuit. She didn't like to kill innocent people. Unless they were a follower of SkyMaster, they weren't innocent. It wasn't her fault they didn't know it. Only the true believers would ever reach Ascension.

The female Fanatic bounced along in the back of the big rig trailer. Right now the dice were still rolling. Where they'd stop, she didn't have a clue.

Leftovers

Some will always take
What they feel is theirs
They never seem to have
Too many worries or cares

What is an appetizer
Is it just a precursor
Of how things will be
And what may be in store

What is the main dish
Is it always the big meal
Maybe it's more than that
And it's a big deal

What is the desert
Is it always the best part
Is that how it ends
Or just the start

Always be wary of interlopers
Or with whom one confers
Otherwise they might end up
With nothing but the leftovers

Nobody
