Chapter 1415

Possessiveness

Cameron, Vanna and Allison watched a Superhero movie in the main theater. It was a couple of hours long. The movie was over now.

They watched the credits as most of the viewers left the theater. They wanted to avoid the crowd. They were pleased to see a quick snippet at the end for another of the upcoming related films in the works.

Allison was pleased to see the movie on the big screen. She liked the 'surround sound' in the main theater as well. She looked over at Cameron.

"How did you like it?" Allison asked.

Cameron thought some of the things she'd viewed were a little far fetched. She did think some of them would make useful additions to a Terminator if they could be incorporated into their chassis. She wanted to keep her answer simple.

"It was entertaining. I like Superheroes." Cameron said. "It was much better than the TV shows I used to watch when I first came to the past, the present."

Allison quickly looked around to see if anyone was listening to them. It was sure to draw some looks if anyone heard her. There was no one around them any longer.

Vanna and Allison liked the movie too.

They didn't get out much to a theater to see a movie. They really didn't get out to do much of anything anymore. It was a treat to be away from the base. It was a bigger treat to be on the ship. It was a grand adventure.

Vanna looked at Cameron with love in her eyes.

"You're our Superhero, Cameron." Vanna said.

Allison thought so as well. She'd watched Cameron do a lot of things no human could ever do.

"I agree." Allison said. "You're superhuman."

Cameron patted Allison's tummy and Vanna's breasts.

"Thanks." Cameron said. "Both of you are my Superheroes. Don't forget, you're capable of doing things I could never do. You can create and sustain life. I can do neither. It seems I operate on the other end of the spectrum."

It saddened Cameron some to know she was designed to take lives. Humans were designed to create lives.

The girls weren't sure where to go with it. Maybe it was best not to pursue the same line of thought.

Cameron didn't want to spook the girls. She wondered where the girls wanted to eat for dinner.

"Do you want to eat at Tony's or in the main dining room tonight?" Cameron asked.

The main crowd was gone from the theater at this point. The three girls got up to leave. They made their way to the exit as they talked.

Allison thought it should be a group decision. Maybe Young Jesse would like to pick a place. She'd only been on the ship for one night so far. It would be her last night. It was the last night for all of them.

"Do you know what anyone else wants to do?" Allison asked.

Cameron didn't know what John was going to do. He may want to stay with Young Jesse for the evening and maybe into tomorrow morning. They could order room service. She figured there would be plenty to eat.

"No." Cameron said. "I don't know about the other girls either. We can find out."

Vanna liked sharing with them. She didn't want to get 'attached' to them. It was just some good clean fun and sweet sex on the trip. She was already with them more than the girls of her past. At least she wouldn't need to worry about seeing their body, or what was left of it, the next day. It happened more than a few times. It was still disturbing to think about.

Allison liked being with the other girls. She wouldn't mind hanging out with them some more. She liked the 'change' from what was normally available. The thought made her think about Samantha, and how she was identical to her mother. She really liked Samantha before she knew it. It didn't matter, she wanted more. She didn't want her mind to drift too far.

"I think they're nice." Allison said.

Cameron wondered about it. The new girls all had lives of their own to live. Sheila created a problem with Leticia. She would need to find a new place to stay. CamNet needed to send a Terminator to remove all of Leticia's belongings from where she lived with Tracy. It all happened before Tracy returned home after she was kicked off of the ship.

Vanna knew the danger in the life they led.

"We can't expose them to our lifestyle." Vanna said.

Allison could tell Vanna was showing her possessiveness towards her.

"No one should be exposed to it or a Skynet future." Allison said.

Cameron thought the new girls would adapt and make good Resistance fighters if they survived Judgment Day. They were all fit and healthy. They should produce good offspring. She needed to refocus. She didn't want to meddle.

"They'll make their own futures with whatever happens." Cameron said.

They were at the stairway now to go up.

Allison looked over at the elevators. The door opened on one of them.

"The magic elevator is calling me." Allison said.

The girls moved over and got into it. The door closed as someone made a lunge for the door. They didn't make it. They could hear them curse on the outside.

Vanna knew they still needed to get ready. She wasn't sure how she should dress.

"I'd like to know what to wear." Vanna said. "I don't want to get in a bind for time."

Cameron didn't think it would be a problem.

"We have an hour until dinnertime." Cameron said.

The elevator stopped and let them out on the suite deck.

Vanna wasn't quite sure how to phrase her question. She didn't want to get too explicit. she also didn't want Cameron to be alone

"Are you going to go with us if John is tied up?" Vanna asked.

Cameron frowned.

"I won't be able to get to my clothes." Cameron said.

Allison giggled.

"I know where there's a whole closet full of them that will fit you." Allison said. "They're the clothes you picked out for me."

Cameron didn't want to be a bother.

"I can just stay in the Control Center." Cameron said.

They passed by the suites outside the private area where Mary, Laura and Leticia were at.

"I don't hear anything." Vanna said.

Cameron listened.

"I think they're getting ready for dinner." Cameron said.

The door to the private area opened.

Sheila was there in her maid's outfit.

"I have your suite all made up." Sheila said.

Allison figured Sheila referred to her. She glanced over at the Owner's Suite. More than likely John and Young Jesse were still tied up.

"Thanks." Allison said. "You really don't need to do it."

Sheila looked away from Cameron and back to Allison.

"I didn't." Sheila said. "Camille-Holly and Gail-Cam did your suite. I meant Cameron's suite."

Cameron was surprised to hear it was. It must mean John and Young Jesse were 'finished'.

"Where's John at?" Cameron asked.

Sheila smiled.

"He went out with Jim after he found out you were at the theater." Sheila said.

Cameron looked over at the Honeymoon Suite.

"Holly-Camille and Young Jesse are in there." Sheila said. "Ally and Hanna are in the Control Center."

Cameron wondered what John and Jim needed to do.

"Was there some problem?" Cameron asked.

Sheila tilted her head slightly.

"I don't think so." Sheila said. "John took Jim up to play some miniature golf."

Cameron was a little confused as to what all happened. She would have liked for him to spend more time with Young Jesse.

Vanna enjoyed the comfort of the movie theater.

"It was nice of John to do." Vanna said. "We watched a movie with Cameron."

Cameron went to go into the Owner's Suite.

Cam-Gail came out of the Control Center and passed by them as they exchanged pleasantries. She opened the door to the hall and Jim and John walked in.

Cameron's face lit up when she spotted John. They greeted each other with a long hug. When the hug was finished, they looked around and everyone was gone. It was just them in the middle of the private area.

Cameron gave John a kiss and led him to their suite.

"How long is it until dinner?" John asked.

Cameron felt there was plenty of time.

"We have fifty three minutes." Cameron said.

John opened the door but Cameron still stood outside.

Cameron wasn't sure she wanted to go in.

John smiled. He went back and picked Cameron up and carried her into the room.

"In that case, we have a little time to burn." John said.

Cameron gave John another kiss as he carried her to the bedroom. She wasn't sure John would be good to go since he'd been with Young Jesse earlier.

"Are you 'up' to it?" Cameron asked.

John set Cameron down on her feet next to the bed. The look of love was on his face.

"With someone as special and beautiful as you, how could I not be?" John asked.

Cameron and John looked into each other's eyes.

"I love you, Cameron, and you love me." John said.

Cameron smiled.

"I love you, John, and you love me." Cameron said.

They quickly stripped each other and moved to the bed….

Everyone was good to go.

The girls were in the big screen movie theater.

Savannah and Young Allison sat next to each other. Cammy sat next to Savannah. Anna sat next to Young Allison. The movie was just about finished.

Young Allison offered Savannah some more popcorn.

"I'm good." Savannah whispered.

Cammy and Anna each tried one piece earlier. They weren't impressed with the taste, texture or the multiple warnings which showed up in their processing systems.

Young Allison finished off the small container of popcorn and took a sip of Savannah's drink. They'd shared a small popcorn and a medium drink so they didn't spoil their appetite for later. They were going to go across the street to the Islands restaurant for dinner.

The movie ended in a spectacular fashion. They stayed and watched the credits so they could get a sneak peak at what they would show at the very end. It was often a spoiler or tease for the next movie.

The house lights came on when it was over.

The girls all checked their phones for any operational updates. Cammy and Anna were updated through their coms during the movie. Nothing much changed. The use of drugs on the female captive didn't yield much. It seemed pain was better able to bend a strong will.

Savannah and Young Allison threw their trash into the proper receptacle. They used the restroom before they left.

Young Allison was dissatisfied with the results of the interrogation. They should have some answers by now. She sent a series of commands directly to CamNet.

Savannah noticed.

"Is it something you should be doing?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison felt it was only 'work related'.

"Yes." Young Allison said.

Savannah waited for a further explanation. There was none.

Young Allison expected Savannah to ask to see her phone but she didn't. She understood Savannah was 'giving her space' without exerting too much possessiveness.

Anna and Cammy remained outside the restroom after making a sweep before the girls went in.

Young Allison gave a little more information and why. She wanted to try a new method. It was something she'd discussed with Summer before. She thought maybe now was the time to implement it.

"I want to try a different approach on something." Young Allison said. "It may not work out. The blame will fall solely on me. I'm willing to take the heat. What I've proposed is a risky gamble. There is a better than even chance of failure."

Savannah liked the idea of a new approach but thought Young Allison should have shared it first. They weren't at each other's throats. They were all on the same team.

"I'll listen to anything you have to say or want to try." Savannah said.

Young Allison wasn't sure if she'd offended Savannah or not. She wanted to justify her actions.

"I need to be my own person too." Young Allison said. "Cameron has taught me to stand up for myself and what I believe in."

Savannah smiled.

"It's what you should be doing." Savannah said. "I want you to do it too."

The girls finished up and washed their hands before they left the restroom.

Anna moved over to Young Allison as soon as she exited the restroom. Cammy moved over in front of Savannah.

The girls sensed danger immediately.

"What is it?" Savannah asked.

She touched her M9 and Taser. They were both ready to 'go'.

They could hear some arguing near the front entrance now.

Cammy listened to what was being said.

"It looks like they oversold the next showing of the 'clown' movie." Cammy said. "There was an issue of seating and refunds. It seems there was some 'theater hopping' involved."

There were four young teens being escorted out of the building.

Brian and Randy were now on either side of them. Young Allison previously insisted they come inside with them. They were hesitant to do so until she pointed out there could be a mass shooting or some kind of trouble in the theater. It happened before. They were both glad they were inside now.

"Mel reports we have a clear path out to the parking lot from the side exit." Randy said.

Savannah didn't want things to get away from them. Minor altercations like this happened all the time. There was a lot of worry about the 'clown' movie though. It was on the news. It seemed to radiate trouble. It wasn't the movie's fault. It was the moviegoers fault. The moviegoers were the people who chose to act inappropriately, recklessly, and in some cases violently. It was time to move on.

"Let's just mind our business and go." Savannah said. "This is an 'everyday issue'."

Young Allison didn't like the trouble makers. Neither did Cammy or Anna.

Cammy felt people with 'issues' tended to expand them with time.

"They need to be disciplined." Cammy said. "They'll be future Scavengers."

At the mention of Scavengers, Brian and Randy looked like they were ready to kill.

Savannah could tell the situation was escalating. They didn't need to have an incident in a public place. She thought the best thing to do was leave.

"Everyone relax." Savannah said. "Let's go out the side exit."

The group reluctantly followed her.

Savannah wanted to remind everyone how things worked.

"If you go looking for trouble, you'll find it." Savannah said. "We don't need any. We have enough on our own to deal with."

The Terminators were all apprised as to the 'clean up' Frank and Dan did for two nights in San Francisco. It seemed the overall crime rate in the city dropped by twenty-five percent. Dozens of petty criminals needed medical attention. There were a half dozen more bodies than normal which turned up over the next day. There were more which were never found. Some of them 'slept with the fishes' now. The outgoing tide of San Francisco Bay swept everything out to sea.

"Protecting the future entails more than just Skynet." Young Allison said. "Look at all the good Cameron and the Metal girls have done on the side operations."

Savannah knew there was no disputing it. She led the group outside anyway.

Mel was in their SUV waiting for them. Cammy went over to the driver's side and he got out as the girls all got in. The vehicle was warmed up and ready to go. It also now had a full tank of gas.

Mel remained alongside the SUV until Randy and Brian pulled up behind them in their SUV. Mel went and climbed in the back of it.

Savannah thought it was overkill. The Terminators all took their job seriously. Their next destination was within eyesight. It wasn't like they had very far to go or anything.

"We're driving across the street." Savannah said. "I can literally see the Islands from here. It's right there. We could walk there in three minutes. Everyone needs to 'chill out'."

Cammy drove out of the parking lot across the street into the other parking lot. It took thirty seconds. She parked by the side exit at the Islands.

They'd been inside the theater restroom three minutes ago. Now they were about to enter the Islands restaurant.

Savannah wanted to point out how everyone overreacted.

"I think things were a little overly dramatic." Savannah said.

Anna and Cammy were both stern faced. They wanted Savannah to remember Young Allison was with them.

"Your security and safety are our main concern." Cammy said. "It applies to both of you."

Young Allison didn't want any hard feelings. She smiled at Cammy and Anna.

"Thank you." Young Allison said. "We appreciate it. I think you're all outstanding."

Cammy and Anna smiled back at her.

Savannah wanted to lower the stress level. She thought Young Allison did a good job.

"They're the greatest." Savannah said as she took Cammy's hand. "It's why we love them so much."

Young Allison took Anna's hand.

"I agree." Young Allison said.

Anna and Young Allison exchanged a quick glance with the revelation.

Everyone seemed happy again as they entered the Islands.

Mel remained with the vehicles while Brian and Randy took up patrol around the area. They often looked across the street where the theater was. They didn't want trouble to follow them. If it did, they would take care of it this time.

John finished up and rested against Cameron. Her arms were wrapped around him. She held him tight until she could feel him slacken some.

Cameron released him.

John rolled off of her.

Cameron looked over at him and smiled.

"It was amazing." Cameron said.

John wasn't sure what to say other than he'd gotten a lot of practice the last two weeks, especially the last week. He decided to comment otherwise. He wanted her to know how much he appreciated what she'd allowed.

"You're the greatest, Cameron." John said. "I mean it about everything too."

Cameron was sure John experienced one of the best honeymoons ever. She was pretty sure no one else was with a cyborg in eight different chassis. The best part was, seven of them were virgins. She would let John hear what they were up against with the anti-Metal faction after the cruise. She didn't want him to hear it before then. She was sure it would sour his joyful mood. It certainly soured hers.

"I want the best for the best." Cameron said. "We all know where we belong at the end of the day. There's plenty of space and love to share."

It sounded like another subject for John to avoid.

"It's beautiful and so are you." John said.

Cameron smiled and gave him a kiss. She hoped she hadn't cut things too close. She was mindful of the time.

"We have sixteen minutes until dinner." Cameron said.

John knew he needed more time than Cameron to get ready. She could look perfect in minutes.

"I need to get moving." John said.

"You have sixteen minutes until dinner." Camille-Holly said.

Allison was about to finish.

Vanna stayed with it.

Allison made it with a sigh and a soft squeal. It took her a moment to catch her breath.

"Let's get crackin'." Allison said with a little difficulty.

Vanna looked for Gail-Cam but she was out of sight.

"Holly won't be able to go with us since she's Camille-Holly." Vanna said.

Allison knew it was the sacrifice she'd made so Young Jesse could be with her partner as much as possible in Holly's chassis. It was only for a few days.

Gail-Cam popped around the corner of the bedroom.

"I have your clothes all laid out." Gail-Cam said.

Vanna took one look at Allison sprawled on the bed.

"I think Allison is laid out right now." Vanna said.

Allison gave Vanna a kiss and sat up.

"I can always get back up after I go down." Allison said.

Vanna and Allison giggled.

The girls needed to get ready.

Jim was back up to speed on everything. He was very pleased John took the time to spend an hour with him earlier. He was aware they were interrogating an anti-Metal captive at Cameron's base. He would have expected some results by now.

He was in communication with John Henry about everything else.

Everything seemed sedate for now. He hoped it stayed that way for the rest of the night and until the ship docked. It would be nice to get back 'home'. He glanced over at the beds in the room. He really hoped a few of the girls would share on them again. He found it very stimulating to watch them.

Dan and Frank were with the van. Ken and Lou were with the Blackhawk. Both of the groups were in Santa Barbara. They would move to Los Angeles after midnight to await the arrival of the ship.

Dan and Frank wanted to help Santa Barbara out. They'd spotted graffiti in numerous places. It was obviously the work of taggers. It was time to do their civic duty. They had a lot of time to kill, in more ways than one.

They parked at the Santa Barbara railroad station. They decided to take a walk first. Savannah always told them she wanted them to enjoy the things around them. They weren't really sure what there was to enjoy. They looked over to the east side of the railroad station. There was an industrial section located there. There was a lot of graffiti on the walls. They would deal with it later on.

Dan looked over to the west side of the station.

"There's a really big tree there." Dan said. "I don't think I've seen one quite so massive in the way it's grown."

Frank looked over at the tree. It wasn't a tall tree. It was rather spread out. The thing which caught his attention was the way the tree roots were above the ground in a lot of places. They were very large.

They walked over to look at it. There was a placard in front of it. It was identified as an Australian Moreton Bay Fig Tree. It is believed to be the largest Ficus macrophylla in the United States. A seaman visiting Santa Barbara in 1876 presented a seedling of the fig tree to a local girl who planted it.

"We will need to tell Jesse about this tree." Frank said. "I wonder if she's seen other ones like it in Australia."

Dan figured she wasn't the only one who may have seen similar trees in Australia.

"I don't know if we'll be able to communicate directly with Young Jesse after the ship docks." Dan said. "If we do, we can ask her."

They could hear a rumble in the distance. The crossing gates went down on the main street. They watched as the train pulled into the station. It was identified as a Surfliner. The name was painted on the sides of the double deck cars. They watch a number of people get off of it. Only one person got on to it. They could hear the locomotive engine increase its revolutions. The train rapidly pulled away from the station. It was going to continue past Santa Barbara and stop at Goleta. It would remain there for a layover and then return. On its return trip, there would be more patrons get on it. It was a popular local train. It would end up in San Diego. They'd already been there earlier.

They heard a few of the passengers, who'd exited the train, talk about going to the pier. They said they could watch the sunset from there. It sounded like something they should do as well. It would be what Savannah told them to look for. They understood sunrises and sunsets were something humans liked to look at. They weren't really sure why. They happened every day.

They headed for the pier. They would walk out over the water to the end of it and watch the sunset. They could deal with the taggers later. Besides, they usually came out at night.

John Henry didn't like the trouble at the movie theater when Cammy's group departed. They were still waiting for some information from the prisoner. The drug method was slow and produced poor results. There was nothing like a good beating to get the answers flowing.

He was aware Sheila's methods worked the fastest. People were more talkative as soon as they realized the parts she'd selected would never 'grow back' once they were 'removed'. It did bother him a little bit when she would laugh as she did it. It was clear she enjoyed her 'work'. It was also the darkness from the 'Neural Interface' with Jesse. She'd warned them there was a lot of darkness inside of her.

Holly-Camille wanted to scan Young Jesse. She felt she was able to scan her in better detail with Holly's chassis.

It wasn't what Young Jesse wanted. She wanted to be left alone for a while.

"I don't want to be scanned right now." Young Jesse said.

It seemed Young Jesse was a little on edge since John walked her back to her room earlier.

Holly-Camille was a little surprised Young Jesse hadn't discussed anything about John with her. She wasn't sure if it was because she didn't like the experience, or she liked it too much and wanted more. She knew the worst case scenario was for Young Jesse to love-love John and want to be with him all the time. She may feel some possessiveness. She'd warned Cameron of the risk. Now with anti-Metal prisoner, Cameron wasn't going to care how many human females wanted to be with John after all the anti-John Conner rhetoric they'd all heard.

"I have your clothes already laid out for you." Holly-Camille said.

Young Jesse was glad she didn't have to decide what to wear. Normally she pretty much dressed the same every day in Australia. She never wore anything fancy. Jesse warned her to keep things simple. She'd warned her to stay off everyone's radar. She said the best thing was to look as plain as possible and not be noticed by anyone.

"Thanks." Young Jesse said.

Young Jesse cleaned up a little and started to get dressed. She was lost in a world of thought right now. She wasn't really sure how to proceed. She wanted to speak with Jesse privately, she even thought of calling her. There were a lot of thoughts in her head and a lot of feelings in her heart. She didn't want to overstep. She also didn't want to hurt anyone.

Savannah and Young Allison both ordered the Sunset burger. It wasn't on the menu any longer, but they still made it on request.

Cammy and Anna sat across from Savannah and Young Allison.

When their burgers arrived, they both started on the fries first.

Anna picked up a fry. It set off several warnings. She hadn't even tasted it yet.

Young Allison noted her look of concern.

"Don't tell me, excessive sodium and saturated fat warnings." Young Allison said.

Anna remained silent. She took a small taste of the fry and more warnings popped up. She didn't want Young Allison to feel self conscious about her meal. She was aware of the foods Young Allison liked to eat. Young Allison told her what was good. She simply repeated what she'd heard before on several occasions.

"It's good." Anna said.

Young Allison smiled.

"Now you know what tastes good." Young Allison said.

Cammy did the same thing as Anna.

The waitress wanted to know if they wanted more fries since they were 'endless'. Both girls declined. The popcorn in the theater put them over the top.

"We should be able to see the sunset." Savannah said.

Anna and Cammy both tilted their heads slightly.

Cammy looked at Savannah with a straight face.

"How do we do that?" Cammy asked. "You just ate it. We'll need to wait twelve to eighteen hours before we can see it again. It will be unrecognizable."

Young Allison and Savannah looked at each other and started laughing. It was an uneasy laugh.

"She means the real sunset, as in the sun setting." Young Allison said. "Not the Sunset burgers we ate."

Cammy smiled.

"I knew it." Cammy said. "I fooled you."

The girls looked at each other and laughed again. This time it was a genuine laugh. Cammy made a joke. It wasn't something Terminators often did.

Anna wanted to try a bit of the 'Kona Pie'. It was really another version of 'Mud Pie'. She'd already ordered one through the computer system.

"We can move to the patio and share our dessert out there." Anna said.

Savannah looked around.

"What dessert?" Savannah asked. "We didn't order any."

The waitress arrived a few seconds later and placed a piece of Kona Pie on the table with four plates and four spoons.

"I placed the order in the system when I paid the bill." Anna said.

Young Allison and Savannah never saw the bill. It sounded like some behind the scenes activity.

"Well it's here now." Young Allison said. "Let's eat it. It won't take long and we will still be able to watch the sun set."

Cammy remembered something Savannah told her once about ice cream.

"It will just slide down." Cammy said.

Young Allison and Savannah wondered what else was happening around them they didn't know about.

Cameron and John exited the Owner's Suite and entered the private area. Young Jesse and Holly-Camille came out of the Honeymoon Suite a few seconds later.

Young Jesse looked at John and then at Cameron. She came over and gave Cameron a hug. It allowed Cameron to scan her.

Cameron hugged Young Jesse and then moved her over to John.

John and Young Jesse faced each other. Cameron and Holly-Camille could both see it. John and Young Jesse were in love. It was why they must have wrapped up their earlier time together. They were both trying to 'fight' it. They knew the longer they 'stayed together', the harder it would be to part.

After what Cameron heard from the prisoner. She didn't care as much as she would have. They specifically named John and her. She looked down at her hand and there was no glitch.

She thought about the reference to her. The female didn't identify her by name. She referred to her as 'Connor's Metal Whore'. The reference bothered her. It made her wonder if she'd been abused by the anti-Metal faction when she was captured. She didn't have records of being with anyone in the future. The only suspected certain events happened.

The female also said she worked for Skynet. She didn't work for Skynet after she was captured and reprogrammed. Why would they say she worked for Skynet? She wondered if there was some other version of her there. There were many cyborgs who shared Allison's DNA. It could be one of them. Maybe it was just a derogatory reference. It irritated her to think about it.

Young Jesse looked at John and they moved forward to embrace. It seemed Young Jesse wanted a kiss. It was clear she wanted a lot more too.

Cameron and Holly-Camille went into the Master Suite to check on Vanna and Allison. They entered without knocking.

John looked over and saw they were alone. He didn't see Sheila in her room as she peeked out at them.

Sheila watched John and Young Jesse. She was a little surprised at what she witnessed next. It seemed Cameron bit off a little more than she was going to want to chew. Maybe with what they'd all heard from Cameron's base, it was a good thing. She hoped they kept the female prisoner alive until she was able to return. She looked forward to a special session with her.

She planned to work her over 'good'. She felt offended by the things she'd heard. She knew the female said them in an attempt to get them to kill her. The female wanted them to kill her so she wouldn't divulge any information. She remembered one time a Fanatic purposely bit off his tongue and gouged out his own eyes so he couldn't reveal anything about their operation.

Vanna put her dress on. Something seemed a little off.

"I feel lopsided." Vanna said.

Allison laughed.

"I think it's my fault." Allison said. "The way you were laying I could only get to the right side. I worked it pretty hard."

Much to their surprise, Cameron and Holly-Camille were now standing there.

"Is everyone ready?" Cameron asked.

Cameron could see Vanna was about six percent smaller on her right side currently.

"After this cruise, I think I'm ready for anything." Allison said.

Vanna looked at Allison but didn't say anything. She understood what she meant.

Cameron was glad Vanna and Allison were able to hear part of the interrogation. They could hear first hand how blinded by hatred the female was. They could hear first hand what the anti-Metal faction wanted to do to John and her. By extension, they wanted to do the same things to all of them. Her job was to protect John. As a 'Metal Lover' with a Metal lover, there was a bullseye painted on his back. She was the one who put it there.

"It's no problem." Cameron said. "I want it more than ever."

Cameron made a point of touching Vanna when she said it.

Vanna gave her a shy smile and nodded once.

Gail-Cam didn't care for the personal interaction with Cameron. She wanted to move things along.

"We need to go if we're going to be seated and catch the sunset." Gail-Cam said.

Cameron led the group to the door. She paused for a few seconds.

"What are we waiting for?" Allison asked.

Holly-Camille understood what needed to be done and why. It still didn't sit well with her.

"I think for Cameron to grow a backbone and live with her decisions." Holly-Camille said. "We all have to."

Vanna and Allison weren't sure what she meant.

Cameron opened the door and they all went out into the private area. They all saw John and Young Jesse standing side by side. They saw them slowly release each other's hand.

Vanna and Allison quickly looked at each other. Neither one of them thought they could 'compete' with Young Jesse. It looked like at this point only their younger selves could. They both knew their younger selves were more desirable to everyone.

Cameron came out from behind them. She took a hand from both Allison and Vanna and pulled them along with her.

"You're both perfect to me." Cameron said. "You always have been."

Vanna and Allison really appreciated hearing Cameron's words. They knew she meant it. It was why they'd followed her into the unknown on more than one occasion. Neither one of them would hesitate to do it again. They both gave Cameron's hand a gentle squeeze.

Sheila hurried out of her room and opened the door to the hall for them. The group headed for the rear elevator.

The female prisoner was aware she was being moved. She knew she'd been drugged and questioned. So far she hadn't seen a human yet. She wasn't sure at this point if it was even the Resistance controlled by John Connor and his 'Metal Whore'.

She knew this group wasn't part of the Fanatics or Grays. They didn't seem to be a part of the Resistance either. There were rumors there was a group of Terminators who'd defected from Skynet and sought peace on their own without any reprogramming.

It was said they could see the illogic and wastefulness of Skynet. Now she wondered if it was who had her. They'd actually handled her without too much force. She noticed she was wearing a top now. She remembered she'd been topless before. She didn't like anyone to see her scarred skin and withered breast. When she was with someone, they never touched the withered one. They only touched the undamaged one. It applied to both males and females.

The thing which actually bothered her the most was the way they'd treated her. It wasn't what she'd expected. It wasn't what she prepared herself for. Things played out very differently. None of them had beat her. She knew it was the way Terminators interrogated someone. They beat on them until they told them what they wanted.

"It's time to go." Hank said.

The prisoner was worried.

"Go where?" The prisoner asked.

She could tell she was still groggy.

Larry looked at the female with a Terminator face. It was void of all expression.

"You're being transferred to a holding area where you'll be kept until the conflict is over." Larry said.

It sounded like a work camp to her. She's been able to escape from one of those before. She wasn't about to help the enemy in any way.

"I won't work for you." The prisoner said.

Hank and Larry looked at each other.

"There's no work." Larry said.

Hank wanted to clear things up.

"It's a detainment center." Hank said.

It sounded a lot like prison to her. Maybe it was a 'concentration camp'.

"Is it a jail?" The prisoner asked. "I thought you killed everyone."

Hank and Larry looked at each other again.

"Why would we terminate anyone?" Larry asked. "We want the conflict to end so the destruction and killing stops."

Hank showed a slight smile on his face.

"We're trying to save lives, not take them." Hank said.

Larry showed a faint smile as well.

"You'll like it there." Larry said. "Female detainees are very popular."

The prisoner knew what it meant. She'd been 'popular' a few times while in the custody of Grays and Scavengers. It was before she'd been disfigured. She wasn't looking for a spot on anyone's 'comfort bunk'. She thought about what else they said.

"What about my associates you killed?" The prisoner asked.

Hank and Larry looked at each other.

"It wasn't us." Larry said.

Hank wanted to give her a plausible story. He also wanted to deflect the blame.

"It was a Skynet group." Hank said. "We disabled their HK drone. We have it now too. It's been confiscated."

The effects of the drug were mostly worn off now. Her mind was much clearer.

"Will you release me?" The prisoner asked.

Larry wanted to point out the futility of the situation. They all knew how everything worked.

"We don't wish to see you terminated." Larry said. "You'll rejoin your group and resume hostilities. You'll die fighting."

"We observed the damage to your body. Some of it is reversible." Hank said. "We'll be able to repair most of your physical damage if you will allow us to help you."

It got her attention. She hated the way she looked now.

"Really?" The prisoner asked.

Hank and Larry acted like Pete and Repeat.

"Really." Hank and Larry both said.

It was something new to the prisoner. Was it for real, or an elaborate hoax? She would like to have her scars go away. She would like for the fighting to be over. She wanted Skynet destroyed. She figured she must be in the hands of the Terminator Resistance. She normally thought of it as the Metal Resistance. Either way, it was something to think about.

CamNet's Terminators quickly moved to the location to see what the men left behind. Their biggest worry was they may have done something to allow the portal to reopen. They weren't really sure how it worked anyway. Nobody was. They approached the devices with caution. They appeared to be surveillance devices.

The only reason why they could think they were there is because the two men thought the portal might reopen. It was a serious issue to consider. They decided to leave some more surveillance devices of their own as well.

CamNet was disturbed with the new revelation. She may need to call in a drone strike if the portal reopened. Young Allison had been prepared to take drastic measures to send a message to the 'other side'. She would contact her directly and run it by her if anything ever developed at the location. The drones, and the weapons on them, were in standby at a remote location.

Tina looked around after they placed their last additional surveillance device.

"I really don't see how anything can appear here again." Tina said.

Lena wasn't sure.

"No one knows how anything could appear in the first place." Lena said.

CamNet's Terminators returned to their SUV and continue to follow the two men in the white van. They stayed out of visual range and allowed the drone to track them. They were more than a little surprised at the way events played out where the female detainee was at now.

Minutes ago:

The female Fanatic was worried about the new danger. Why would the truck driver come back so soon? She quickly moved up to the very front of the truck. She looked back as the door opened. It only opened about two feet. She actually needed to stand up on the HK Track to see what was happening. She could see the man talk to someone before the door opened more and he came inside.

She quickly realized the men were thieves. They were looking for something to steal. She hoped to be able to kill them and take their vehicle. She knew there were at least two of them. She wished she would have stayed closer to the back of the truck. She decided to make her move.

She couldn't see the other man from where she was at. She didn't know if there was more than two. She didn't know if they were armed or not. She thought about using her Beretta on the man she could see. It could cause the other man to leave, or pull a weapon to engage her as she attempted to get out. No doubt the gunfire would bring more men to see what was going on. There would be an additional threat to deal with if it happened.

She pulled her knife. She started over the tops of the crates. Her foot slipped. It dropped down between two of the crates. She landed with a thud. She quickly got back up. She watched as the man grabbed the strap on the door and jumped out of the truck. She was almost to the door when it closed. She slammed into it as she heard the latch thrown closed. She heard a faint metallic sound of the lock going back on.

"Damn." The female Fanatic said.

She heard a vehicle start and drive away. She quickly stuck her knife against the latch and tried to open it again. It would only move about a quarter of an inch before it made the metallic sound against the lock in its mount.

The female Fanatic continued to work on the latch with her knife.

Jill spotted something as she moved closer to the last big rig. She moved underneath it. She could see there were two men at the rear of it. She heard some metallic noise and then one man climbed up into the back of it. There was some type of noise above her inside of the truck. She saw the other man's legs land on the ground and there was a metallic noise again as the two men ran from the rear of the truck.

It seemed to her as if there was something alive in the truck. She didn't think it was an animal. It could be. The two men sure left in a hurry. She moved back outside the truck and hurried to the rear. She saw the pickup truck drive away and make a right hand turn and pass in front of the diner.

There was a metallic noise at the rear of the truck. She looked towards the diner and then looked at the rollup door. She could see something at the very bottom push against the latch. She quickly realized someone was in back of the truck. She wondered if it was the 'secret agent'. There was a lock through the door latch. It wasn't locked closed.

"Who's there?" Jill asked.

There was a slight pause. The knife withdrew.

Jill could tell she'd spooked whoever was inside.

"Do you have a baseball bat this time as well?" Jill asked.

There was only silence.

"If you want me to open the door, tell me who you are." Jill said. "I want to hear your voice."

There was a slight pause.

"Jill?" The female Fanatic asked.

Jill recognized the female's voice. It was the 'secret agent'.

"Hang on." Jill said. "I need to figure out how to open the door."

Jill took the lock off. She could see marks on the back of the door the latch made as it was opened before. She grabbed the latch and pulled on it. It only moved a little bit. She pulled harder and the latch opened. It 'clanged' off to the side. The roll up door immediately opened all the way. It surprised her some.

She didn't see anyone at first. All she saw were big wooden boxes. She watched as the 'secret agent' slowly appeared at the top of the closest big wooden box. There was a pistol in her hand. It was like the one she had.

"There's no one else here but me." Jill said. "The two men who broke in left. The man who drove the truck is in the diner. There's two other trucks parked here as well. I think they're all in the diner."

The female Fanatic moved to the rear of the truck and looked around. She didn't spot anyone else around. She saw the gas station across the street and the diner on the other side of the truck. She grabbed the strap on the door and jumped down. She pulled the door down. She threw the latch.

"You shouldn't be here." The female Fanatic said. "Where's the lock?"

Jill reached in her pocket and handed it to her.

The female Fanatic put the padlock on and locked it.

Jill knew she shouldn't be there either. She wanted to justify her actions.

"I followed the truck when it left." Jill said. "I want some payback for what was done to me."

The female Fanatic looked on both sides of the truck. She spotted the other two trucks as she did. She understood how Jill felt. It was never a good feeling to be abused by someone else.

"These people are dangerous." The female Fanatic said. "You need to get away from here."

Jill waved her hand around.

"This is the middle of nowhere." Jill said. "More of the same will happen to me."

The female Fanatic wanted to move away.

"Do you have the car I told you about?" The female Fanatic asked.

Jill didn't want to get left behind.

"I do. Take me with you." Jill said. "I'll help you."

The female Fanatic frowned.

"I will for now." The female Fanatic said. "Thank you for opening the truck. I couldn't get out."

Jill smiled.

"You saved me." Jill said. "Now we're even. Follow me."

The female Fanatic followed Jill past two of the trucks to where the vehicle she'd acquired earlier was parked.

Possessiveness

With every new day
There should be the hope of brightness
It should be full of joy
It should be blessed with happiness

There are those around one
Whom they would like to impress
Such a close friend
Can prove to be quite priceless

When situations compound and arise
They are often hard to address
The feelings inside of one
Can be difficult to express

For one to have more
They need to have less
It in itself becomes
The definition of success

Things can't be based on selfishness
They curb the relations effectiveness
Things can devolve into madness
When one is consumed by possessiveness

Nobody
