Chapter 1454
Who Was She Fooling
Earlier:
Anna and Young Allison checked their monitors.
One of the drones picked up some activity.
"We have contact." Anna said.
Young Allison wondered where things were headed.
"What do we have?" Young Allison asked.
Anna received a zoomed in drone image.
"There's one suspicious vehicle driving around the burnt out port facility." Anna said. "It's a brown two door car. They will receive the same information in the Command Center."
Young Allison didn't want to disturb Savannah or Cameron. It was too early to do so anyway.
"Instruct John Henry not to alert anyone at the Resistance base at this time." Young Allison said. "If the situation worsens, we can deal with it then."
CamNet sent out the notification before Anna could. CamNet would deal with the issue along with Young Allison and Anna.
"It's taken care of." Anna said.
Young Allison checked out the drone image. It was zoomed in on the car in question.
"It must be related to what was there previously." Young Allison said.
Anna believed it was too early to make such a determination. They'd introduced a new factor to cover up what they'd done earlier. They'd blamed it on a terrorist group. There'd already been a raid at one of their hideouts.
"The vehicle has attempted to pass on all four sides of the burnt facility." Anna said. "There are multiple law enforcement agencies there now. They're still looking into the terrorist aspect of it."
Young Allison watched the car move away. It drove by the van Dan and Frank left there. It didn't slow or stop. So far no one ever approached the van on foot. There were still several of Cameron's Terminators in the area.
"Have Richard or Michael noticed anything unusual?" Young Allison asked.
Anna knew the two Terminators were instructed to remove themselves from the target zone earlier.
"No. They've tried to stay out of the immediate area." Anna said. "They're on the hillside about a quarter of a mile away. It's a residential neighborhood. There are a lot of hills around the west side of the port."
Young Allison watched as the brown car passed by where several of the enemy teams entered the drainage system. Everything they did seemed to indicate it was connected to one of the groups.
"The car is hitting all the highlights." Young Allison said. "What do we have on the driver?"
Anna checked a very close zoomed in image of the vehicle.
"Nothing, the windows are all heavily tinted." Anna said. "The sun visor is down all the way on the driver's side."
It sent up another red flag for Young Allison. Someone wanted to conceal their identity.
"Since it's nighttime, the sun isn't in their eyes. They don't want to be observed by anyone." Young Allison said. "I think they are more worried about traffic cams than being on a drone image."
Anna tried to see if there was a previous 'hit' at an intersection.
"CamNet has gone over every image she could find on any traffic cams." Anna said. "The driver isn't visible."
Young Allison mulled over some possibilities. She thought about the other factor they'd introduced as well.
"We pinned this on a terrorist group which was taken down by the FBI a short time later." Young Allison said. "This person could be anything from a terrorist looking for payback against the authorities, or someone from one of the groups we fight."
Anna wanted to point out one of the realities with terrorist groups.
"The terrorist angle sounds more likely." Anna said. "They could be driving around a 'car bomb' and looking for a target of opportunity."
It raised some alarm for Young Allison. She hoped they hadn't painted a bullseye on someone else's back.
"Where's the mobile Command Post the authorities are using?" Young Allison asked. "It might be a target."
Another drone image appeared.
"There are two trailers there and one bus." Anna said. "One trailer is from the FBI. Another trailer is from the fire department's 'Hazmat' unit. The bus is from the police department"
The three Command Posts were clustered together on some open land where a building once stood.
Young Allison considered some preemptive action. She didn't want anyone to die because of their earlier actions.
"It looks like a prime target if the occupant of the brown car is searching for one." Young Allison said. "Maybe it's time to act."
Anna wanted to issue a warning to Young Allison. She didn't want her to get ahead of herself without some further information.
"It could be a 'lookiloo'." Anna said. "Incidents like this attract them."
Young Allison felt it was more than some convoluted thrill seeker. She wanted more facts.
"What does the feedback on the license plate show?" Young Allison asked.
Anna was updated by CamNet.
"It is registered to a pick up truck." Anna said. "It's a stolen plate."
It was the final straw for Young Allison. There was more at play here than a 'lookiloo'.
"Target the brown car." Young Allison said.
Anna made the arrangements.
"It's now locked up by two drones for a missile strike." Anna said. "CamNet has also provided for the option of a 'metal hail' strike or a gravity missile drop to mask the true nature of the response."
Young Allison was willing to take drastic action. She didn't want to overdo it if it was possible. To save innocent lives, they may have to act boldly.
"If it gets into an area where there's minimal collateral damage let's take it out with a gravity missile drop." Young Allison said. "If it makes a run at the command post cluster, use a missile. If the car can get in with the two trailers and bus, dozens could be killed."
Now Young Allison was worried it was on them. If they provoked a terrorist retaliatory act by blaming a terrorist group, it was their fault. It was a reminder everything they did could produce an effect somewhere else.
Past experience showed when they attacked one group from the future, they tried to make it look like it was another group from the future. When the punishment was started between the Syndicate and the Cartel, they each blamed the other one. There were always retaliatory strikes between those groups. If they'd ruffled the feathers on a terrorist group, they're more than likely would be the same reaction.
Young Allison wanted to think about the terrorist angle further. They were a threat not only domestically, but internationally. It might be something to look into further. She would give it some further thought.
Vanna and Young Jesse were totally absorbed with each other. It was clear they were in love with each other.
Young Jesse was very pleased with her time with Vanna. She needed to consider a few things.
"If I was here all the time, how often could we be together?" Young Jesse asked.
Vanna gave Young Jesse a deep kiss as she stimulated her. She didn't want Young Jesse to concentrate on just her.
"We could be together everyday. It just wouldn't be all night." Vanna said. "You also need to think about Savannah. She'll want to be with you often."
Vanna would like to see Young Jesse for an hour or two everyday and then Young Jesse could spend the night with Savannah. She didn't think 'three way' hookups would be uncommon.
It gave Vanna something else to think about. It would mean Cam, Cammy and Camille would all be without their human lovers. There would be three Cameron clones available to share with each other or with others. It would be something to see.
Young Jesse knew Savannah loved Allison. She didn't want to over stress the 'love' part.
"Maybe Savannah could share with Allison when we get together." Young Jesse said. "She likes to be with Allison."
Vanna knew it could get complicated fast. She wanted to voice her earlier thoughts about the Metal girls. She didn't want to get into the specifics.
"Don't forget our Terminator girlfriends." Vanna said. "We all have one and they like to be with us whenever they can."
Young Jesse could see how involved it could be with all the selection at the base.
"It was just a thought." Young Jesse said. "I don't want to cause any waves."
Vanna intensified her efforts. She wanted to please Young Jesse.
"Just lay back and relax." Vanna said. "I'll take care of everything."
Young Jesse did as Vanna instructed. She did glance over at the connecting door to Savannah's room. She felt a little guilty. The thought went away fast as Vanna took her to heaven again and again.
Vanna was very pleased with the results of her efforts. She knew a happy customer was a repeat customer.
Young Jesse was a happy customer.
John Henry followed what was happening down in the port area. He was concerned as to what the new development would turn into. It looked like trouble of some sort.
Bob and Jim left and resumed their normal duties around the base. They also didn't want to get 'caught' spying on the Metal girls.
John Henry didn't want to disturb John, Cameron or Savannah. They would all have a briefing tomorrow morning. It was to be a closed door affair with John, Cameron, Savannah and Young Allison. Cammy, Anna and he would be there as well. He didn't know if Summer would attend. He thought she should be there.
The possible terrorist angle Anna and Young Allison discussed was worrisome. They may have inadvertently started a chain of events they couldn't control. He decided to look into the terrorist group and see if he could identify any other terror cells. Maybe it was time to take preemptive action. He would provide the information to Young Allison and let her make the determination. CamNet could carry out the strikes. It would happen outside the normal Resistance orbit.
It was the same way their interaction with the Syndicate and the Cartel was conducted. It wasn't a Resistance matter. It was one of the reasons Cameron wanted CamNet separate from the Resistance, it was so she could conduct operations and not taint the Resistance. Many of her outside operations were questionable.
He believed Cameron's 'off the books' operations were all done to benefit the future. Eliminating drug traffickers and their organizations along with sex trafficking, especially of females, would take a lot of bad actors out of the picture. He noted one thing about them though. No matter how many of them were eliminated, more of them always seemed to spring back up again. It was much the same with their efforts against Skynet. There was always some new offshoot waiting to pop back up like a 'jack in the box'.
John was on top of Cammy-Cameron. She was about to finish again. He stayed with it and held back. He wanted her to make it one more time. She did and then he did.
He rested his sweaty form on top of hers. He gave her a deep kiss. She released her legs from around him and he slid off to the side.
Cammy-Cameron looked over at him with love in her eyes.
"It was wonderful, John." Cammy-Cameron said. "I've waited a long time to make love. It was all better than I thought it could be."
Cammy-Cameron and John kissed.
John heard the same thing every time when Cameron reset herself. It never got old. He was pleased he could deliver. He liked his extra prowess he was able to provide in the bedroom since being on the ship. It really did wonders for him. He wasn't sure if it was because he was away from all the stress and pressure of the Command Center, or if it was the fresh salt air. Maybe it was a combination of both. He didn't know the real reason. He wanted to give her some good news.
"That's just the start." John said.
Cammy-Cameron's face brightened when he said it.
He needed a little time to rest and then Cammy-Cameron was going to 'attack' him with ferocity once she reverted back to her current programming.
"We can kiss and touch each other for a little bit." Cammy-Cameron said.
It was what they did. It was a pleasant time shared together.
Cammy-Cameron reset herself after fifteen minutes.
John could tell right away. Now she was going to 'show off' in the Metal girl's chassis she controlled. He was going to be in for a wild ride. He was glad he could get back in the game quicker now. He still didn't know Cameron slipped him a 'little helper'.
Cammy-Cameron checked to see how he was doing. She started him up, but didn't take him all the way. She was satisfied he was good to go for what she wanted. She moved on top of John. She looked at him and smiled.
"My turn…." Cammy-Cameron said.
John swallowed hard as Cammy-Cameron went to work.
Claire ended up in Jesse's room. Gail and Hanna went off together.
They started to share.
Claire noticed earlier when Young Jesse was with them, Jesse seemed a little off. She didn't think much of it. Now she noticed it again.
"Is everything OK?" Claire asked.
Jesse wondered why she asked, could Claire tell she'd 'made love' for the first time? Everything prior to John was an assault or just sex. There were times when she shared with Derek where it was loving sex. It wasn't the same feeling she felt as when she was with John.
"I think so." Jesse said. "Is something different?"
Claire didn't want to make an issue out of it. It was her concern on a personal level.
"You seemed a little different than normal." Claire said. "I just want to make sure everything is good. I care about you."
Jesse wanted to tell Claire what John and her did. She wasn't sure if she should. She would tell her eventually. In reality she felt a little different inside. She wasn't sure what it was. She couldn't place her finger on it. She noticed Gail treated her a little differently too. Maybe it was actually her who'd treated Gail differently. It looked like Gail wanted to ask her something or say something but she didn't.
"Maybe it's because everyone is back and Gail is back. I like Young Jesse to be here with us too." Jesse said. "It just seems there's a lot going on."
Claire knew she had a secret with Sarah. She wondered if Jesse had one too. Then again all girls needed to have a few secrets. She figured whatever it was would blow over. She wanted to remind Jesse the extent of her commitment. It was much more than skin deep.
"I'm here for more than this if you need me." Claire said. "I'm the complete package."
Jesse knew she was more sex driven than most females. She liked what Savannah, Claire and now Young Jesse offered her on an emotional level. It came out full force when she was with John. She wanted more out of life. She wanted the baby Young Jesse would provide her with. Now she wondered if she should call Samantha and see if Precious would need her.
Her time assisting with the needs of Precious weighed heavily on her. It awoke the motherly instincts within her. She'd never felt them before. Since she acted as a surrogate mother, everything inside of her wanted more. She needed to remind herself she was more of a wet nurse. Riley was Precious mother.
Riley rode Derek hard and satisfied herself a dozen times or more. She actually couldn't remember how many times it was. It seemed the more times she finished, the less she remembered.
She gave Derek a big kiss and moved to lie next to him. She glanced at the doorway to see if Camille came back, but she never did.
Derek was soon asleep again. Riley climbed out of bed. She went in search of Camille, she was naked.
She found Camille in standby next to Precious crib. She was dressed now. It made her wonder where Samantha was at. She was usually back by now if she went out. She hoped she wasn't sent out on a combat operation.
Maybe if she pushed the issue too much with Cameron, Samantha would be reassigned. She'd better rethink what she 'wanted'. She didn't want to lose Samantha altogether. Maybe it was going to happen anyway. Samantha looked like Claire now. She was originally supposed to be there for Summer and Young Allison. It was before Cameron modified her assignment to assist her.
To think back on the time period when those events occurred bothered her some. She felt she was a failure as a mother on her own. It was more than just her body's lack of ability to properly take care of Precious. She'd been overwhelmed with everything. It was a very stressful time period for her. She didn't want to think about her failures. She was worried about Samantha.
She thought about going to look for her and go see John Henry. Maybe it was better if she didn't. She checked on Precious again and went back to the bedroom. She picked her robe up off a chair as she passed by it. Camille must have folded it for her. She really liked having an audience, even if it was for a few minutes.
She climbed in bed next to Derek. She soon began to touch herself. She couldn't help it. She just needed a couple more….
Young Allison wanted the potential threat eliminated with the brown two door car.
Anna didn't want Young Allison to act too soon. There were still a number of factors to consider.
"There's still a lot of official activity at the port." Anna said. "I think unless the car makes an aggressive move, we shouldn't do anything yet. We don't want a second incident if it can be avoided."
Young Allison didn't want to cause a larger official investigation.
"I think so." Young Allison said. "How far away was the terror cell from the port the FBI brought down?"
Anna knew CamNet picked a group not too close to where the action occurred.
"It's about twenty miles." Anna said. "CamNet wanted to get them off to another area away from the port."
Young Allison was aware any terror group was a threat. Some of them were just a loud voice, or a paper tiger. Some of them were a bonafide threat and took action previously.
"How much of a real threat was the group CamNet set up as a patsy?" Young Allison asked.
Anna was unaware of any direct action the group was responsible for previously. They'd made a number of threats and possessed a large collection of weapons and explosives.
"It's unknown." Anna said. "They tried to put up a fight when the FBI showed up. They seemed willing to kill. They all died instead."
The drone images showed the brown car was now headed away from the remains of the port facility and surrounding area. It was possible it would lead them to additional targets. They wanted to know where it originated from as well.
"It looks like they aren't going to attack." Young Allison said. "Let's stay with them. It may have been a recon."
Anna was updated by CamNet. She wasn't sure how all the information was going to go over.
"Hank and Larry are on their way to intercept and shadow the brown car." Anna said. "Michael and Richard can remain where they are for now. CamNet also reminded me to remind you, you have a briefing at the Resistance base tomorrow morning."
Young Allison could have done without the reminder from CamNet.
"I know." Young Allison said. "It means I need to go to bed soon and get some sleep."
Young Allison knew she would need to look Tight as well. Cameron, Savannah and John would be there. She would need time for some extra work to fix herself up. She wanted to look her best for Savannah and John.
Anna wanted to downplay the incident so Young Allison wouldn't continue to follow it.
"It appears to be a non Resistance matter." Anna said.
Young Alison didn't think there was too much of a distinction in the long run. A threat was a threat, until it was no longer a threat. Anyone who was a threat to the Future, was an enemy, even if it wasn't Skynet related.
"If they're a threat to the authorities, they're a threat to everyone." Young Allison said. "I don't like loose ends and I sure don't like a loose cannon. Have CamNet deal with them if they become trouble for anyone."
Young Allison was confident CamNet would stay on it.
Savannah opened her eyes. She touched on both sides of her. The bed was empty. She looked around and at the connecting door to Young Jesse's room. She was tempted to go and peek. She decided to mind her own business for a change. She reached for her phone. She was going to get an update from John Henry. Maybe it was a bad idea too.
She wondered what Young Jesse was up to. She wondered more about Young Allison. She hoped she was in bed by now so she could get some sleep before the briefing tomorrow.
Savannah looked around again and pulled the sheet up a little higher. She closed her eyes again. They opened again after a minute.
Who was she fooling?
She was worried stiff about Cammy. She was getting 'plowed' by John right now. Well, at least Cameron was in Cammy's chassis. She would still need to ask Cammy what it was like, even if Cameron was the one who did it. Cammy would still get the file.
She didn't care for the procedure when she'd heard about it occurring on the ship. There just seemed to be something wrong about it. She knew it was a very selfish act by Cameron. John was just as culpable. Everyone seemed willing, so she really couldn't complain about it to anyone. Who would listen anyway? Did anyone else really even care? Did it even matter? She wasn't sure it did. She closed her eyes again.
Cammy-Cameron was just about to finish. It happened a few seconds later.
She shared another long kiss with John.
She reached back and unplugged the tether from the back of Cammy's neck. John didn't see her do it and was fondling Cammy's breasts still.
John looked back and Cameron uncovered herself.
Cammy sat up.
John quickly released Cammy's breasts.
Cammy felt elated. She looked at him with love in her eyes. She didn't want him to stop what he was doing. She was about to lift his hands back up when she looked at Cameron. She figured she'd better not push it.
"It was wonderful." Cammy said. "It was great."
Cammy, like all the other Metal girls, enjoyed what Cameron did for them. She didn't mind as much as she thought any of them would about what Cameron also took from them. It didn't make a difference. There was nothing to take. Just about everything imaginable already occurred down there. With her eight years alone with Sheila in the past, there probably more than what was imaginable occurred. Sheila could get pretty extreme at times. She was glad any modification Sheila made always regenerated. She was pleased everything worked as intended for John and Cameron as they used her chassis.
Cameron needed to get Cammy moved along and get John ready for Samantha later on. She didn't want him to expend all his ability on Cammy's chassis one more time. She was ready for a fresh one, in all sense of the word. She wanted to throw both of them a bone and keep up the good will. She planned to use all of the Metal girl's chassis again going forward. It would be with her in control of them. They would all be willing to comply as long as the possibility for them to have their 'one time' with John was still out there.
"You two can shower together if you'd like." Cameron said.
Cammy wasn't sure she needed to at first. She found out soon enough she needed one.
"I think so." Cammy said. "I don't want to mess my dress up."
John smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
"It happens." John said.
Cammy praised and thanked John and Cameron several more times.
John and Cammy took a quick shower.
Cameron needed to check on a few things while they did. She liked to remain in control of the situation. There was usually more than one to deal with.
Sheila was still tempted to call Leticia. She might even go over to see her. She wanted to bring Jesse or Young Jesse if she did. It would be a 'trip' for the three of them to show up.
She decided she wanted to be there for Cammy when Cameron was done with her. She'd asked Cameron to let her know when Cammy was available. She just received the message.
Sheila looked around and threw on a top and a pair of shorts. She looked in the mirror and was dissatisfied. She stripped down naked again. She went and got one of her maid's outfits. She'd brought back several of them from the ship. She put it on instead. Now she was 'dressed'. It seemed to be the appropriate outfit for tidying things up.
She wasn't sure it was an official part of any maid's duty. She was pretty sure it was an unofficial part of a lot of them. More than a few of them warmed the bed of their employer.
She headed out and went towards Cameron's room.
Cameron went to find Samantha to make sure she would be available soon. She stopped by Riley's room and entered the nursery. Camille greeted her twenty seconds later.
"Where's Samantha?" Cameron asked.
Camille didn't have an exact location. She hadn't monitored Samantha's whereabouts.
"She went to see Jesse – Young Jesse earlier." Camille said.
Cameron left.
She went to Young Jesse's room and listened. She could hear Savannah and Young Jesse in there together. It was different. She couldn't hear Samantha.
Cameron opened the door and looked inside. She was surprised. It was Vanna with Young Jesse and they were making love. She could normally tell the difference between Vanna and Savannah when she listened. She closed the door and moved on.
It seemed everyone was having a good time.
She would check Allison's room next.
The Gray pulled over off the side of the road behind the bushes and waited. It was dark now. He didn't see any headlights on the road behind him. There'd been some coming towards him. He waited for what seemed like a long time. He knew it wasn't. Waiting was always boring. The pain in his back only seemed to make it worse.
His back really hurt right now. He looked in the bag of items he bought in the mini market at the gas station. There was a bottle of painkillers. He opened it up and took a half dozen of them. He washed it down with a protein drink. He'd already eaten a couple of protein bars while he waited.
It seemed as if it was time to move on. He waited until another car went by. He started the car and looked both ways. He made a U-turn on the dark highway. After he was on the road behind the car which passed him, he turned on his headlights. He would pass through the crossroads junction and take a look around it as he did. He was sure he didn't have a tail.
Once the car started moving again, it seemed to make his back hurt further. He took out the bottle of painkillers. He hesitated. Maybe the other ones he took hadn't taken effect yet. He certainly didn't want to overdose on pain medicine. He was aware dying from an overdose of barbiturates wasn't a very good way to go out. He'd seen a program on TV about a number of celebrities who'd done the same thing. They all ended up choking to death on their own vomit as they lay on the ground incapacitated. He would rather go out fighting.
He could see the lights of the crossroad junction up ahead. The car in front of him turned into the gas station. He drove past the gas station and the diner across the street from it. He passed the shabby looking motel. Even as shabby as it looked, he could sure use a warm shower and a bed to sleep in for a few hours. There were some energy drinks and energy bars he'd purchased as well. He wasn't ready to start on those yet. He also had a packet of anti drowsy tablets.
The Gray just wanted to get to the other location.
Earlier:
The female Fanatic wanted to move the car out of plain sight. She didn't want the Gray to recognize it as one of the ones which had been in the mine. She didn't know if he would or not. He seemed to be in such a hurry when he'd left, he probably didn't look at anything. It's possible he'd been in the vehicle before on some other operation.
"I think it's time to move over between the motel and the diner, or the far side of the motel." The female Fanatic said. "It will give us better cover."
Jill looked across the street at the pickup truck in front of the diner.
"I hope they don't become a problem later on." Jill said.
The female Fanatic saw where she looked. She thought about it for a few seconds.
"There's a good chance they're watching us right now." The female Fanatic said. "If they are, they saw I was looking at the map. They'll know we're not from around here. If they're looking for trouble it will make us a target."
Jill didn't plan to be a target for anyone. If she was going to go down, it would be fighting. She didn't intend to be abused again by anyone.
"Let's throw them off our trail." Jill said.
The female Fanatic was pleased with the way Jill thought. It was exactly what she intended to do.
"I already have a plan." The female Fanatic said. "Let's go."
They got into the car and drove out to the main highway. They made a right hand turn and passed over the junction. They drove along the side of the diner as if they were going to continue on the main highway back in the direction from which they'd actually come. The men in the pickup truck didn't know it was where they came from.
As soon as she passed the diner, she gave a heavy break application and slowed. She turned and passed along the back of the diner. She continued past the parking lot for the diner and the motel. She pulled up on the far side of the motel so she could watch the intersection.
"We can wait here for now." The female Fanatic said. "I'm going to give it another fifteen minutes. If we don't see him we're going to take off down the road at maximum speed. We should catch him within a half hour if I push the speed and double the speed limit."
Jill was always in for a fast ride. She wondered what other weapons they had.
"I'll follow you and do what you say." Jill said. "I know you obtained more weapons when you prepared the vehicle earlier."
The female Fanatic looked around. There were no windows on the side of the motel where they were parked. It was just a blank wall. There was one light which hung down from the roof of the motel. It cast enough light to see by.
"I'll show you right now." The female Fanatic said.
They got out of the car. They started to move towards the trunk when they heard a car coming. The female Fanatic quickly hurried over to the side of the motel and looked. It wasn't the car the Gray was in. She returned back to where Jill was at the trunk. Jill already opened it.
There were several assault rifles along with a mixture of explosives. She'd also been able to obtain a few more hand grenades. She gave Jill a brief rundown of how each of them worked.
Jill looked at the weapons. She'd gone on hunting trips with her father a few times. The rifles were different from the type she'd actually seen and used before. It was basically in the way they were loaded and the amount of cartridges they could carry. It didn't take her long to pick it up.
She knew what a hand grenade was. She was instructed on how to properly use it. She was pretty sure once she pulled the pin and a little handle flew off, she thought Jackie called it a spoon, she was probably going to throw it rather than wait for a few seconds.
A couple of items were bombs. She was given a brief rundown on how to use them. The ones referred to as satchel charges seemed easy enough to operate.
There was something else which caught her fancy.
"What are the tube looking things?" Jill asked. "They look like the one we saw laying on the ground by the disabled HK Track. These look shorter. I remember the other one was longer.
The female Fanatic looked around as she picked one of them up.
"It's an anti-armor weapon." The female Fanatic said. "To arm it, you need to activate it and it will extend out and be ready to fire. There will be a tongue of flame out the back of it. You need to be aware of what's behind you as far as personnel go. If there's something solid behind you, the flame will have nowhere to go but back against you. You saw what one of these was able to do to the HK Track."
The female Fanatic gave her a brief demonstration without actually activating the weapon.
Jill took it all in. She didn't know how she would do under stress with weapons which were unfamiliar to her. She knew it was one of the reasons why the military trained people for an extended period of time. They needed to be able to operate everything without thinking about it. It would be second nature to them.
They heard another car coming.
"I'll check it out." Jill said. "Get back in the car."
Jill watched Jackie take something out of the trunk before she closed it and got back into the car. She ran down to the corner of the motel and looked around it. She could see a car come from the direction of the one they wanted. It turned into the gas station. It wasn't it.
She saw there was another car coming. The headlights weren't too far away. She turned around and looked at Jackie. She held up one finger and drew it across her throat. She held up another finger to indicate there was a second vehicle coming.
The female Fanatic got back in the car. She put the item's she brought with her, next to her. She watched Jill signal one car wasn't it. She then signaled there was a second car coming. She really hoped it was the car. If not they were going to take off after it. She was sure they could intercept it soon enough.
Jill noticed the pickup truck was gone from in front of the diner. It worried her some. She was aware of what the other men had done they'd killed previously. They were serial killers. One of the men collected human body parts.
The other headlights grew closer. As it reached the intersection, she could see it was the car. She held her right hand up over her head and twirled it around in a circle as she ran back towards the car. She heard Jackie start it.
The female Fanatic saw Jill's signal. She immediately started the car. Jill ran back and got in. She backed up so she would be in back of the motel. She was pleased to see the Gray's car pass by on the highway in the direction she thought it would go.
Earlier:
The three men continue to watch the two females across the street in the gas station. They wanted to make sure they knew which direction they left in. They received their food and ate it quickly. They weren't quite done when they saw the two females put the map away and get back into the car.
"The skanks are leaving." The first man said.
The second man wasn't done eating yet.
"What about dessert?" The second man asked.
The third man was irritated with the second man.
"It's right there." The third man said as he pointed at the two females. "I'm going to take your turn while you can watch. You need to lay off those pills."
The second man didn't like the implication.
"I told you, it helps me relax." The third man said.
The first man wanted everyone to finish up.
"Let's get ready to roll." The first man said.
The second man moved up to the window to get a good look at the crossroads. He watched as the two females drove along the side of the restaurant. It looked like they would head west. He returned to the table.
"At least we know which way they're going." The second man said. "There are more than a few secluded spots where we can have our dessert."
The second man stood up.
"I need to use the can." The second man said.
The third man was disgusted.
"TMI, dude." The third man said.
The first man looked irritated.
"Go do it while we take care of the bill. " The first man said. "We'll be out in the truck."
The first and third man went out to the truck. The second man joined them a few minutes later.
The truck pulled away from the diner and made a right-hand turn onto the main highway. It went westbound in search of the two females. All three of them were ready for dessert.
Who Was She Fooling
When two hearts are in play
Everyone must remember the warning
It's not always possible
To avoid being struck love's lightning
It many cases
It can lead to bonding
In other cases
It can lead to mourning
The journey can be tough
It can become quite grueling
It may depend on whom
Is leading or following
It all revolves around
The direction they are heading
It can all fall apart fast
Or it may grow and become binding
The answer is as simple
As the one each is holding
Wake up and look around
Who was she fooling
Nobody
