Chapter 1478
One Time Won't Hurt
Two Grays were still alive after the attack on the SUV. Two men on their team were killed. They needed to press the attack and finish the job. They were sure the SUV just came out of one of the buildings.
"Which building do you think was their base?" The second man asked.
The first man looked over at the line of buildings. He thought he saw a door open a little and then close.
"I see it." The first man said as he pointed. "It's the one over there."
He punched the gas. He headed the sedan in the direction he'd indicated. A few shots rang out. One shot punched through the center of the windshield. It shattered the rear window as it passed through the car.
"Damn." The second man said. "It was a close one."
A few more rounds hit the sedan.
The first man stopped the car.
"Get out." The first man said as he opened his door and got out. "Use my side."
The second man slid over the seat and did the same thing.
There was a lull in the firing.
The first man wanted the defenders to know it was the end of the line.
"There's no way out." The first man shouted to the occupants of the building.
A couple more shots hit the sedan.
The two men looked over the location of the building.
"I don't think there are very many of them." The first man said.
The second man was apprehensive. He was aware how some groups responded.
"If these are the Fanatics, they won't give up." The second man said.
The first man smiled. He thought about the exploding SUV earlier.
"It's what I'm banking on." The first man said.
The second man nodded.
"You think they'll take poison or blow themselves up." The second man said.
The first man didn't want to get hit by any shrapnel.
"It's why I stopped back here." The first man said.
The second man wanted to raise the temperature. He thought they could play a bluff
"Let's tell them we have six more cars on the way." The second man said.
The first man liked the idea. He didn't want to overdo it. He modified it somewhat.
"There are three more cars on the way with LAW rockets." The first man shouted. "It's over."
The second man was a little worried if the Fanatics decided to do a breakout.
"Do we have any more troops anywhere?" The second man asked.
The first man knew they were the only ones left in the vicinity.
"There are none close by." The first man said. "We were just along to guard the Coltan shipment."
It was quiet except for the burning cars in the background. They could hear rounds of ammunition 'cook off' from time to time.
"Why did they stop shooting?" The second man asked.
The first man didn't want to approach their position.
"I don't know. Maybe they want more targets." The first man said. "They didn't even disable our car."
The second man wasn't as concerned about the vehicle as he was about his life.
"The round that passed between us was pretty close to disabling us." The second man said.
The first man remembered how he cringed as the bullet punched through the front window.
"It was close." The first man said.
The second man felt tiny bits of glass impact into his face. He was glad none of them went into his eyes.
"It was too close." The second man said.
The first man didn't like the waiting. He wanted to try and provoke a reaction.
"Get ready to fire a volley when I do." The first man said.
The second man checked his ammunition supply. He was worried he might run out.
"I don't have very much ammo." The second man said.
The first man didn't want him to worry. If his plan worked, they'd be fine.
"I don't think we'll need very much." The first man said.
The two Grays would fire over the hood and over the trunk of their car at the building.
The first man decided to carry out the bluff.
"This is your last chance." The first man shouted. "Here they come. Let's go get them, boys."
Both men emptied their magazines at the structure. Most of the bullets ricocheted off of the cement front of the building.
"ASCENSION!" A male voice screamed out from inside the building.
It actually sounded like two male voices.
"Get down." The first man said.
There was an explosion. The front of the building collapsed.
The second man was a little slow to get down and was hit with a piece of shrapnel. He grabbed his shoulder and fell over backwards.
"I'm hit." The second man said.
The first man looked him over and then looked at the building.
"You'll live." The first man said. "They won't."
The first man helped the second man back into the car.
The second man held his bleeding shoulder.
"Do we need to check it?" The second man asked.
The first man looked over at the collapsed debris where the building once stood.
"Do you think anyone survived that?" The first man asked.
They both looked at the burning rubble.
The second man didn't think it was possible, especially for people who wanted to die. He was convinced they'd made a clean sweep
"Nope." The second man said. "We got all of them."
The first man did a 'once around' the car. He wanted to make sure it was drivable. It seemed to have taken quite a beating. Nothing critical was damaged.
"We need to get out of here and dump this tub." The first man said. "There are over twenty bullet holes in it, a hole through the front window and a shattered rear window."
The second man touched his shoulder. If the shrapnel had been a few inches over towards the center of his body, it would have killed him.
"We were lucky, man." The second man said.
The men were lucky. They were lucky Bob, Jim and Cam were all excellent shots. Their goal was not to disable the vehicle. They wanted the men to go back to the machine shop and report the problem was eradicated. They didn't want them to continue to look for a threat. They wanted to find out where the Coltan came from and where it went.
The two Grays in the damaged sedan drove away from the industrial tract. They paused briefly at the burnt out vehicle of the men who'd arrived with them. It appeared as if they died instantly. They drove off. There was no help for the dead.
Hanna watched over Derek and Kyle until Bob and Jim rejoined them. Cam was able to join them as well once the building blew up. She was the one who shouted 'Ascension' and blew the front of the building off.
John Henry suppressed all emergency response related to both of the incidents.
Bob wanted to get the Reese brothers back to the base before things escalated.
"I think we're done for the day here." Bob said.
Kyle and Derek were glad they were even able to be a part of what they were.
"You know we want to be in on it when that machine shop gets taken down." Kyle said.
Bob would try to make sure it happened.
"Affirmative…." Bob said.
Derek wanted to make sure Bob understood his grievance.
"I want to deal with the manager myself." Derek said. "I don't like the fact he tagged me."
Jim didn't want Derek's judgment to be clouded.
"Don't make it personal." Jim said.
Derek still felt the need for personal vengeance.
"I didn't." Derek said. "The manager did."
Kyle knew Cam and Hanna lost their SUV in the explosion.
"We can double up if you want." Kyle said.
Cam was ready for the next phase. The van should serve as a Trojan Horse.
"We're good." Cam said. "We need to return this van to the owners. It's the proper thing to do."
Derek and Kyle looked at each other. It was clear it would be a little more involved.
"It sounds like another operation." Derek said.
Cam felt it was personal. It would be an 'off the books' affair.
"It's not a Resistance matter." Cam said.
Derek and Kyle were aware of some of the 'off the books' activity. They believed it was more a matter of perspective.
"They're future Scavengers." Kyle said. "It sort of makes it Resistance business."
Hanna didn't want them to become involved.
"Not for you." Hanna said. "You've done your part for today."
Kyle wanted to reaffirm their position to assist.
"Sometimes it's nice to have help." Kyle said.
Cammy knew the regular team would be there. Well, everyone except Cameron.
"We have plenty of help." Cam said. "Sheila, Cammy and Ally will join us. They're on the way now. It's sort of a girl thing."
Everyone knew there would be a certain amount of brutality involved with Sheila there.
Bob and Jim didn't want to get mixed up in the 'off the books' operation. Derek and Kyle were already exposed to more danger than was anticipated.
"We need to go back." Bob said.
Jim didn't want it to become an issue.
"We're finished for now." Jim said.
Cam just wanted them away. What happened would already draw enough heat.
"Go out the back way." Cam said.
Bob and Jim drove Derek and Kyle away.
Cam and Hanna watched them go.
"Do you think they'll go back?" Hanna asked.
Cam tilted her head slightly. It was a good question without a definitive answer.
"With Bob and Jim driving, there's a fifty-fifty chance." Cam said.
Hanna was aware Allison and Vanna were nearby.
"We have our own wannabes to deal with." Hanna said.
Cam looked over in the direction where the SUV was with Vanna and Allison. She was aware where it was parked.
"At least Holly and me are here." Cam said. "We may have to get creative."
Holly and Gail asked Vanna to back the SUV up further. They were able to close a gate before the shot up sedan passed in front of them.
The four girls all watched the Gray's car go by.
Holly would make sure a drone stayed with it and the men went back to the machine shop. If there was any deviation back to the industrial area they'd just left, there was to be a missile strike.
Gail opened the gate up and Vanna was about to drive out. Right before she did, the florist van pulled up and blocked their path.
Allison knew they'd been made.
"Busted." Allison said.
Vanna figured someone squealed on them.
"CamNet needed to help them do it." Vanna said.
Gail saw it differently. She was worried about their safety too. She believed there was more than one way to look at it.
"Maybe CamNet's trying to protect you." Gail said.
Allison felt Vanna and her could take care of themselves. It was what they'd done the future.
"Protect us from what?" Allison asked.
Holly didn't think the girls understood the danger.
"She's trying to protect you from yourselves." Holly said.
Now Vanna wondered if Holly or Gail squealed on them.
"I think they were all in on it together." Vanna said.
Allison was highly disappointed.
"Great." Allison said. "We're all getting sidelined again."
Cam and Hanna got out of the van.
"Hardly." Cam said. "Your part of the mission ended earlier."
Allison wanted the Metal girls to have a bigger force for whatever they planned to do. She glanced over at Vanna and winked. Vanna gave her a slight nod.
"Holly or Gail can go with them." Allison said.
Vanna wanted the Metal girls to have a large force.
"Both of them can." Vanna said. "I'm driving so we'll make it back to the base in one piece."
Allison didn't like the affront to her driving skills.
"Hey." Allison said. "I'm a good driver."
Vanna didn't think so. She thought it would depend upon where the driving occurred.
"Maybe in a destruction derby you'd be a good driver." Vanna said. "Out on the street, your 'skill driving' leaves a little to be desired."
Allison looked insulted.
"I'm going with them just for that." Allison said. "You can drive back alone."
Allison got out of the van and started to walk towards the van.
Vanna got out and started to follow Allison.
"I'm going to need to babysit you there too." Vanna said.
Gail looked at Cam and Holly.
"What just happened?" Gail asked.
Hanna realized the girls distracted them on purpose.
"We all just got played." Hanna said. "We were focused on them and now they're part of the mission. They did it right in front of us."
Vanna was behind the wheel of the florist van now. Allison was in the front passenger's seat.
"Are you coming?" Vanna asked.
Allison leaned over so she could look around Vanna.
"We're ready to go." Allison said. "Let's get crackin'."
Vanna and Allison smiled at each other.
They'd been together a long time and knew how to play the game. What they'd done was just a variation of a ploy they used more than a few times in the future. It still worked just as well in the past, the present.
Vanna still thought Allison's driving did leave a little to be desired.
Riley was sure Claire and Jesse were with John. She'd heard Allison, Vanna and Young Jesse were with him on the ship. She heard Young Jesse was pregnant now. It took care of all of the girls except Savannah, Young Allison and her.
Maybe she could slip into John's room real quick. She was willing to let him knock off a quickie. She'd like to get pregnant again herself. Derek seemed unable to make it happen. He certainly practiced enough. Cameron needed to obtain professional medical help to assist them the first time. She didn't think the 'problem' was entirely her fault. A quick 'in and out' with John would narrow it down, if it was done at the right time.
Riley took one look back at Jesse. It looked like she was going to be with Precious for a while. She still didn't have any idea where Samantha was at.
She wondered when Derek was going to be back. She also wanted to know for sure who she was with earlier.
Riley quietly headed out of her room.
She could go look for Samantha or head to John's room.
She knew what she wanted….
One time won't hurt anything in the context of all of the other girls.
Summer and John Henry watched what went down at the industrial area.
"It was pretty much what I planned." Summer said. "Phase One and Phase Two are complete."
John Henry was pleased there'd never been a real threat to any of their troops.
"It did go rather smoothly." John Henry said.
Summer watched what the Grays did with their shot up vehicle. She thought it was a good concept. It was something they could look into as well. It would help keep any questions to a minimum about some of the vehicles they needed to leave behind.
"The Grays took the car directly to a wrecking yard." Summer said. "They have someone there on the take."
John Henry thought it might be a little more involved.
"It could be another Gray." John Henry said. "The car was taken immediately to the crusher. It's now a block of metal."
Summer contemplated what would happen with the other vehicle the Grays used.
"I bet they'll have someone from the wrecking yard go retrieve their other wrecked car and crush it too." Summer said. "I'm sure they'll leave the charred bodies in it."
John Henry observed humans were subject to a number of vices. The two most influential seemed to be sexual and monetary.
"Money does have a way of 'talking'." John Henry said.
Summer looked at John Henry.
"So does the other one." Summer said.
John Henry looked a little uneasy.
Summer was aware of who was in what rooms and where everyone was at currently. It didn't appear John Henry received the same information. CamNet blocked it from him. She saw it as a test. It was up to her to make sure there weren't any problems among all of the players. There were other more concerning issues.
"I'm worried about Vanna and Allison right now." Summer said. "They're trying to go on Phase Three."
John Henry knew the nature of the operations the Metal girls conducted for Cameron and CamNet.
"It will be a problem. It can get messy on one of those operations." John Henry said. "In fact, you shouldn't be an active part of the operation. You know this."
Summer did know it. She didn't disagree with Sheila's methods and neither did Young Allison. She did know the Metal girls would take care of what needed to be done. Sheila, Ally and Hanna would lead. Cam would act as 'Cameron'. Gail and Holly didn't usually go on those operations, but they did sometimes. Cameron wanted to keep all of them proficient.
"If my mother stays tied up, I may observe what happens." Summer said.
John Henry wanted to give Summer a reminder.
"Jan went to study." John Henry said.
Summer understood the nature of the hint.
"Is it my cue to do the same?" Summer asked.
John Henry didn't want to push.
"It's an observation." John Henry said.
Summer didn't care for the implication.
"I'll think about it." Summer said.
Young Jesse neared Mojave in the Mitchell. Even when she was still several miles away, she could see what looked like a graveyard for aircraft.
"I can see the rows of parked planes." Young Jesse said.
Camille didn't care for the final destination of most of the aircraft.
"The majority of them are airliners." Camille said. "Few will ever fly again."
Young Allison knew of a reprieve for some of them.
"They've converted a group of them as 'air tankers' to drop fire retardant." Young Allison said. "A lot of wild fires burn around here."
Young Jesse remembered the Resistance Blackhawk was painted as a firefighting helicopter and could actually do water drops. Right now she was cleared to stay over the railroad tracks to the west of the runways.
"I see what look like two giant C-130 aircraft." Young Jesse said. "They look really long."
Camille could see the aircraft Young Jesse referenced. She made a quick identification.
"Those are two C-133 Cargomasters." Camille said. "They've been there for decades. They served as 'heavy lift' aircraft until they were replaced by the C-5 Galaxy."
Young Allison wanted to let them know there was also another very rare aircraft which frequented the airport in Mojave.
"There is an L-1011 there sometimes too." Young Allison said. "It's used for the Pegasus project."
Young Jesse was aware the L-1011 was a competitor to the DC-10. The DC-10 proved to be a little more successful commercially, even if it was more accident prone. There were several issues with engines falling off in flight and cargo doors blowing off of a few of the DC-10 aircraft. They resulted in death and a few crashed planes.
"I know there aren't too many of those TriStars left." Young Jesse said.
Young Allison and Anna looked out the cockpit windows as best as they could.
"I don't see any Warbirds out." Young Allison said.
Anna figured the owners wanted to protect their investment, not only from the elements, but from lookiloos as well.
"The few which remain there are all most likely in hangars." Anna said.
Young Allison was aware of the crowds which always gathered when there were Warbirds at an airport Down Under.
"They would draw a crowd like this bird will." Young Jesse said. "It's why we can fly to Madera once we're done here."
Young Jesse knew Madera was a Warbird friendly airport. It was in an out of the way location.
Young Allison was going to say they could overfly her house but maybe they would dump Anna and her off there if they did. It would probably happen on the way back. It didn't look like she would be able to spend much time with Savannah anyway. Not the way things seemed headed.
Young Jesse turned the Mitchell around and picked up the railroad tracks again. They headed back the way they'd come.
Sarah and Samantha both knew they were on a timetable. There were other places they both needed to be.
"I'll need to get back to Precious soon." Samantha said.
Sarah knew she needed to check on Jan. Kyle would be back soon. She really wondered how she was ever going to be able to tell him she was with a Terminator. She could still hardly believe it herself.
Samantha gave Claire and Sarah both a parting kiss as she finished dressing.
Sarah felt the need to say something to her.
"I just need to tell you I really shared a great time with you, Samantha." Sarah said. "I'll remember this forever."
Samantha thought Sarah sounded like it was a one time deal. She wanted her to know she was available for more.
"I'm around even if I'm restricted." Samantha said.
Sarah felt liberated now. She didn't think anyone should have restrictions or limits.
"It's a crime to restrict you for anything." Sarah said. "I think I've finally been able to break my self imposed shackles.
Samantha gave them both a kiss and left. She really wondered what she was going to tell Riley about where she'd been. She decided to go the back way to return to Riley's room.
Sarah stared at the door for a few seconds. There were a million thoughts in her mind.
"She's just like a real person." Sarah said. "It was amazing."
Claire saw it differently.
"Samantha is a 'real person'." Claire said. "They may be machines, but they are more like mechanical humans, than machines."
"Are all of the other Metal girls the same way?" Sarah asked. "That's if I may ask."
Claire smiled.
"You may, and yes they are." Claire said. "Some are more experienced and way more intense."
Claire didn't realize it was more of a willingness to 'push it' over experience.
"Do you mean some are more intense than Samantha was?" Sarah asked.
Claire thought Samantha was very mild mannered.
"Yes." Claire said.
Sarah thought about everything she'd just experienced. It was hard to imagine more.
"Wow!" Sarah said.
Claire looked around like there was a secret she wanted to say.
"They all tell me Cameron is way more advanced than they are." Claire said. "The ones I have been with since Cameron used their chassis, all told me they were able to have a better experience because everything ran through Cameron's program."
Sarah was still a little uncomfortable with the idea. She didn't like the idea of someone using someone else's 'body', for all practical purposes. Then again, from what she knew about every other female's first experience, it seemed most were a little disappointed. It sounded like all the Metal girls were pleased. She was sure John was a big factor.
Sarah and Claire shared one more time before Sarah dressed and left.
Claire watched her go. She was very pleased with the new pleasures Sarah was able to explore.
Sarah passed by the rec room. It was empty. Jan and Summer must be elsewhere.
She debated if she wanted to go into the Command Center or not. John Henry probably knew what everyone was doing. She didn't think he would ask any questions. She didn't want to find out.
Claire looked around her empty room and thought about all that went on in the last few days. Did it get any better than this?
Sheila, Ally and Cammy neared the rendezvous point.
Cammy wondered about how they were dressed.
"Are we going to change?" Cammy asked.
Sheila laughed.
"We're dressed to kill, love." Sheila said.
Ally thought the name of the business would dictate otherwise.
"Any place called 'Bottomless Maids' sounds like clothing is optional." Ally said.
Sheila wanted to push the boundaries.
"I'm going in naked." Sheila said.
Cammy wasn't so sure it was a good idea.
"You won't be able to carry your weapons." Cammy said.
Sheila thought about some of her past encounters.
"I am a weapon." Sheila said. "I want to give them one last 'rise' before they won't be able to 'rise' again."
Ally knew Sheila liked to show off.
"It sounds like you for sure." Ally said. "Cammy can watch the SUV for us."
Cammy didn't plan to miss out on the action. Besides, she was combat experienced.
"Hardly." Cammy said. "Sheila and I saw plenty of combat."
The smile faded off of Sheila's face. It seemed like some of what happened in the past with Cammy came back to her.
"We did see combat." Sheila said. "It just came back to me."
Cammy remembered when she told the homeless girl she was a combat trained medic.
"I knew it." Cammy said. "I told Julie I did too."
Ally tilted her head slightly.
"Who's Julie?" Ally asked.
Cammy was very displeased with the entire experience surrounding the incident.
"She was some street trash Young Allison wanted to 'save'." Cammy said.
Sheila could tell Cammy was more than a little negative.
"You don't sound impressed." Sheila said.
Cammy was aware of what the recovery, or lack of recovery, rate was
"She's a drug user." Cammy said. "You know they never get off of the crap. They just find better ways to hide it."
Ally wanted to know more about Young Allison's compassion.
"Tell us the story anyway." Ally said. "It sounds noble."
Cammy filled them as Sheila drove.
Mary, Laura and Leticia followed 'Sue', 'Peggy' and 'Barbara'. They wanted to see where they went. Mary put her old phone in their SUV. They tracked the phone.
Leticia was sure it was a bad idea. She believed the Metal girls were 'secret agents'.
"You know they're going to have to kill us if we find out where their base is." Leticia said. "They need to keep it a secret. It's why they're called 'secret agents'."
Laura was a little worried about it herself.
"She does have a point there." Laura said.
Mary thought the idea sounded far fetched, but it didn't. She tried to blow it off.
"They wouldn't kill us." Mary said.
Leticia pointed out Mary's earlier suspicions. They didn't give much positive encouragement.
"If you believe they blow up buildings and kill people they would." Leticia said.
Laura was a little worried about the other things they'd discussed previously.
"Do you think they do?" Laura asked.
Leticia watched 'Sue' in action before. She could tell she was used to doing such things on a regular basis.
"It would be part of their job as secret agents." Leticia said.
Mary didn't know what to think at this point.
"I just wanted to know more about them." Mary said.
Leticia thought it would be more a matter of timing and maybe trust. She was pretty sure love is what would do it.
"I do too. Sue will tell me when the time is right." Leticia said.
Laura thought about some of the spy movies she'd watched.
"It will be right before she snaps your neck, stabs you, or shoots you with a silenced gun." Laura said. "We've all seen how they operate in the movies. You both know it's all based on fact."
Mary wanted to laugh but really couldn't at this point. What Leticia said worried her. She really began to second guess herself.
"Maybe putting my old phone in their SUV was a mistake." Mary said.
Laura knew Mary's old phone with lead right back to her. There wouldn't be any way around it. Since they actually hadn't ridden in the vehicle, she wouldn't be able to say she dropped it either.
"When they find it, they'll know it was you." Laura said. "They know right where to come. They'll know why it was there."
Leticia thought of a few other possibilities.
"It might be even worse." Leticia said.
Laura wasn't sure how involved it would get.
"They will probably dump the vehicle and the bad guys will find it. They'll think you were part of it." Laura said. "It's going to be worse when the bad guys get a hold of you. We've all seen how they operate."
It was a scary thought for Mary. There were already a dozen scenarios flashing through her mind.
"What do you think they'd do to me?" Mary asked.
Leticia remembered what 'Sue' planned to carry out.
"Probably all the things Sue was going to do to the Crazy Bitch and Tracy." Leticia said. "I saw what she was about to do when the Security Chief arrived. She was going to do it too. I know she's done it before."
The three girls were all a little worried now.
Those ideas didn't sound like crazy talk any more. They sounded like reality.
John thought he heard his door open. He was just too tired to get up right now. He dozed back off.
There was some movement next to his bed.
He opened his eyes. They opened a lot wider when he saw who it was. It was something he used to dream about, even when he didn't want to.
"You know why I'm here."
John swallowed hard.
"I do." John said.
"It's what we've both wanted all along."
"It is." John said.
He watched her slip her robe off.
"You're incredibly beautiful." John said.
"Thank you. It's all for you."
"I'm not sure we should do this." John said.
She looked at his groin area.
"Your body indicates otherwise."
John looked down. He was at 'full attention'.
"I don't know." John said.
"One time won't hurt. It's what we both want."
John swallowed hard.
The first man crawled off to the side after the explosion. So far no gunfire was directed at him. He didn't know what he would find further inside. It seemed like everything went wrong. Three of his men were down for sure. He touched the body of the man who'd absorb most of the shrapnel from the last blast. He was definitely dead.
There was a lot of smoke inside of the building. He was still down low. He expected to take gunfire where he was at. He quickly crawled away from where he was. He could feel the small shrapnel wounds he'd received sting as he moved.
He looked all around him. So far he hadn't spotted anyone. He moved closer towards the rear door. He thought it was where the enemy would be concentrated. He was right. He abruptly stopped where he was and looked. There were five dead men in front of him. One of them was one of his men. There was currently a plastic bag tied around his head. He recognized the clothing.
Everything added up to what the man who'd attacked the building said. He wondered where he was at
The next question was, who killed these men? They all had what appeared to be multiple bullet wounds. They weren't very traumatic. He could see the legs on a couple of the men were broken. He wasn't sure what caused the injury.
From his low position he spotted what appeared to be a bomb. He could see it was armed. He figured whoever killed the men and left them there, also left of the bomb. He knew he needed to disarm it. He moved towards it. As he did, he saw the red light on the control panel suddenly show four zeros.
It was the last thing he saw.
Ascension was at hand.
The attacker wasn't sure what was happening inside of the building. So far nothing but smoke came out of the bathroom window.
He started to move along the rear of the building towards the roll up door. There was a massive explosion. The rear door blew off. He was knocked to the ground. Chunks of concrete from the wall begin to fall around him.
The attacker was sure he was about to be buried alive. He didn't think he was going to be alive for very long though. He heard the timer on the bomb he carried sound a warning beep. He knew it was about to detonate.
Ascension was at hand.
CamNet's Terminator made his way down the ladder and checked the storage room. He was alone. He moved to the door and reached for the handle. He didn't know how many defenders he would find.
The door opened inward into the room. He turned the handle and opened the door a crack. No gunfire was directed at him. He opened it a little more. He opened it enough to poke his head out. There was still no gunfire. There wasn't any sound at all. He opened the door and came out. There was a large work room area. There was very little inside of it. He did spot several bombs.
CamNet reassured him all frequencies were jammed. They couldn't be remotely detonated. He went over to them and disarmed them anyway. He proceeded to go into the front of the building. He found several more booby traps. He thought it was much like what he'd left in the other building.
He was informed there'd already been several explosions at the other building. He took out his phone to look at the drone image. He saw one massive explosion and the building collapsed. He saw there was one man outside. He recognized him as the attacker. He was covered with falling debris. A second later there was another explosion where he'd been. The debris on top of him blew off in all directions. Since no one else came out of the building, he was sure all five men were terminated. He turned his attention back to where he was at.
He disarmed several more bombs and made one more sweep through the building. He went back and reprogrammed all the bombs so CamNet could have control of them as she'd done at the other location. CamNet was the one who'd detonated the bombs when the Fanatic went to disarm one. When he was given the replacement SUV, it was loaded with plenty of surveillance gear.
CamNet now possessed control over what would happen inside of the building with the bombs. With the few small cameras he'd installed, she would also have 'eyes' as to who entered the building if anyone did.
He decided to exit the building the same way he'd entered. He went into the storage room and up the ladder. He checked the drone image above him. There was no one around who could spot him. He exited it out onto the roof. He closed the door and bent the door frame back down. He moved to the side of the roof and lowered himself down. He dropped approximately ten feet to the ground. He landed on his feet. He went over the wall into the next property and moved along the back of it and came out on the east side.
CamNet's Terminator returned to his SUV. He was given a new assignment.
Lena and Tina kept track of what was happening with the bikers and the female Fanatic. They also watched the events which took place at the other two buildings the male Terminator visited. There was another spectacular explosion at one of them. They were aware at some point there would be another one at the other building the male Terminator just left.
"It appears we missed out on another explosive assignment." Lena said.
Tina wasn't sure it was a bad thing.
"We seem to have arrived at all of them after the action happened." Tina said. "Well, I guess we did create a few explosions on our own."
Lena could see the bikers were about to make their move.
"Let's see what happens next." Lena said.
CamNet directed her two female Terminators to stay on their current path. They were to remain in front of the Gray until they reached the new junction.
Jill watched her mirror as the motorcycles began to move.
The female Fanatic held her assault weapon on her lap. She'd draped the old vest on top of it so it wouldn't be so apparent what she held. Her hand was on the pistol grip and her finger rested outside of the trigger guard. She could have it up in an instant.
The six motorcycles behind them formed up into three pairs. The first pair moved into the oncoming lane. There was no traffic headed towards them. They began their pass of the female Fanatic's vehicle.
The first two bikers pulled alongside of them for a moment and then passed them. They moved in front of them. The second set moved up alongside them and stayed there for an even longer moment. The other pair was directly behind them.
"Don't look at them." The female Fanatic said. "Just keep driving at the same speed don't slow down for anything and don't stop."
Right now there were bikers on three sides of them.
Jill figured if she swerved over to the left, the other two bikers would instinctively try to move away from the vehicle. There was a good chance they would collide and topple over. It would still leave the bikers in front of her and behind her. They would most likely react in a very negative way.
She was relieved when the pair next to her moved up and pulled in back of the pair in front of her. They'd moved up a little further. The set behind her moved up alongside her and paused for a moment. She continued to look straight ahead. They passed by and followed behind the other four.
"What do you think they'll do next?" Jill asked.
Jill's earlier dream was still fresh in her mind.
The female Fanatic didn't know for sure.
"Hopefully they'll keep going." The female Fanatic said. "They looked us over good. They know who's in our vehicle. They'll probably go up and check the Gray's vehicle next. More than likely when they find out it's a single male. They'll slow down and wait for us to catch up."
Jill thought Jackie's assessment was probably correct. She watched the bikers go ahead of them. She looked in her rear view mirror. The other ones behind them seemed a little closer.

Young Allison and Cameron headed back to where the car was parked. They could hear a lot of screaming and shouting behind them.
Cameron used her chassis to shield Young Allison as they hurried around the corner. The third sniper didn't take a shot at them. She took one last look behind them. She could see people pointing in their direction. There were actually quite a few of them. The motorcade was still moving. It had picked up the speed considerably.
She quickly replayed what she'd witnessed. The President had been shot through the throat and the bullet exited out of his back. The Governor in front of him took a round through the shoulder. It was the only shot which the patsy scored. He'd missed the President completely.
She thought about the shot Young Allison took. She fired when she told her to. Not only did Young Allison need to fire at a target in a moving vehicle, the target itself was moving. She clearly saw the President's head driven back and to the left.
Those thoughts all pass through her mind in a millisecond.
They neared the vehicle. She didn't think now was a good time to check on the detainee.
"I'll drive." Cameron said.
Cameron opened the door. She got behind the driver seat. She reached over and unlocked the passenger's door.
Young Allison opened it up and tossed the guitar case onto the back seat. She looked behind them from the direction they'd come. There was no one in pursuit.
"Let's get out of here." Young Allison said.
Cameron already had the car started and they took off.
Young Allison instinctively reached for her safety belt. There wasn't one.
Cameron noticed.
"Safety belts won't become common for a few more years." Cameron said. "Maybe it's something I should address while we're here and speed up the process by a few years."
Young Allison could feel her heart pounding. She was pretty sure it never pounded this hard before. She was pumped full of adrenaline. It was a little hard for her to believe what she'd just done.
Cameron could see Young Allison looked a little distressed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison knew she was responsible for her actions. She could have backed out of it. She didn't.
"I did what I needed to do, when I needed to do it." Young Allison said. "I don't want my future changed. History will reflect what just happened here. The 'Magic Bullet' will be how everything is explained by the authorities. They'll suddenly find it in pristine condition on a hospital gurney for the Governor. It only added to the name of the 'Magic Bullet'. The patsy will take the blame and be killed in a few days. The individual who killed him will suddenly get cancer in prison and die. Everything will be neatly wrapped up."
Young Allison couldn't help but think about the Pirates motto: 'Dead men tell no tales.'
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She hoped it was how things played out going forward. There was no guarantee it would. Either way, she might need to oversee some of those events to make sure they occurred.
She figured they got away from the scene soon enough not to be caught up in any roadblocks. She drove several miles away from the plaza where everything occurred. She pulled up in between two buildings.
"I need to check on Sleeping Beauty." Cameron said.
Cameron went to the trunk of the car. She opened it up. She returned with a shop rag and the fired shell casing. She handed both of them to Young Allison.
"He's still out." Cameron said. "Eject the remaining four cartridges from the rifle and wipe them down. Reload them with the rag. Take the fired casing and wipe it down as well. Place it back in the chamber and close the bolt. Wipe down the rifle and the case. Wipe down the doors and the handles as well as anything on the dash we may have touched."
Young Allison immediately moved to the back seat and opened the guitar case. She quickly rejected the remaining four rounds.
"What are you going to do with the thug?" Young Allison asked.
Based on the events, Cameron wasn't so sure he was a low level thug.
"I'm going to put him in the driver's seat." Cameron said.
Cameron and Young Allison both went to work.
Young Allison figured a Beach Boys concert was out for now.
What she didn't know was, The Beach Boys actually played a concert on November 22 1963, in Marysville, California. They had a show scheduled for the next day Sacramento. Unlike the previous night, the show on the next day was postponed. It was most likely because of what she'd just done.
One Time Won't Hurt
It's easy to play games
As two reach out and flirt
It seems most are ready
For more than dessert
The moves can be subtle
The can be bold and advert
It all depends on how much
The other is willing to assert
Warnings must be heeded
There always needs to be an alert
There's more behind the scenes
When things are clandestine and covert
Things happen fast and furious
Which were once calm and inert
They are easier to divert
Than they are to subvert
Things get out of hand
They become quite overt
When they start to believe
One time won't hurt
Nobody
