Chapter 1485
High Class Stable
Cameron wanted Young Jesse to practice a takeoff and landing with a full load of fuel. It would still be lighter than the aircraft with a weapon's payload. With the increased power output of the R2600 engines on the Mitchell, it could take over four thousand pounds of ordnance. It was a thousand pounds more than the normal payload.
Savannah wanted Young Allison to be the copilot but she deferred to Camille again, at least for now.
Cameron and Anna went into the aft fuselage.
Savannah and Young Allison sat in the jump seats behind Young Jesse and Camille for the takeoff, one touch and go, one landing and then a second takeoff.
Young Jesse knocked it off without a hitch.
Cameron previously gave Camille some instructions.
"Where are we off to?" Young Jesse asked.
Camille gave her a set of coordinates.
Young Jesse double checked with Camille. It was very close to their current position.
"It's like a six minute flight once I turn around." Young Jesse said.
"Cameron thought you would like to visit the location." Camille said. "We'll have special access."
Young Jesse smiled.
"I guess we can thank CamNet for the generous donation she must have made." Young Jesse said.
Savannah and Young Allison heard the conversation through their headsets.
Young Allison was thrilled with the destination. It was something she'd wanted to visit for a while.
"Oh boy, I think I'd like it too." Young Allison said.
It was a place Savannah wanted to visit as well.
"Cameron takes care of all of her girls." Savannah said. "You'll be just like Cinderella at the castle, at Castle…."
John, Jesse and Claire shared with each other several times. John was pretty much done at this point. Cameron often pointed out the superiority of the female body over the male body for love making. She wasn't talking about Terminators either. Claire and Jesse were both still going strong.
Time didn't really seem to matter at this point.
Sarah was out of her room and headed for the Command Center.
She wanted to check on Jan but decided to see what was happening with Kyle. She knew he was out with Derek. They were supposed to do a recon with Jim and Bob.
It seemed like they should have been back a long time ago on a simple recon. She was actually glad they weren't. It allowed her a lot of time to share….
Mary spotted Leticia fooling with a window on the back of the building. It looked like she was about to attempt to enter the building. It looked like a really bad idea.
"Hey!" Mary called out in a whisper.
Leticia jumped about a foot. She was relieved to see it was Mary.
"Someone inside needs help." Leticia whispered.
Mary wanted to grab Leticia and go.
"We can call the police." Mary whispered.
Mary took Leticia's arm and pulled her away from the window.
There was a muffled scream from inside.
"Bitch…." A male voice said. "Put your arms around me. Hold me like you want me. You'd better make me believe it too."
There were several dull 'thuds' followed by some sobbing. It sounded like someone was being beaten.
"Don't fight it. It's going to happen anyway." A female voice said. "You're just going to get torn up worse. You can't stop it from happening."
Mary and Leticia looked at each other. It was clear what was happening inside. It was the worst kind of abuse.
"Where's Sue?" Mary whispered.
Leticia went around to the back earlier because she saw the florist van parked on the street.
"I saw the van out in front." Leticia said.
Mary looked over at the van and the sedan in the back. She remembered the van Laura and her spotted. They and saw 'Lisa' and 'Mysti' were in it.
"It's a different one. The one the girls were in might be different too." Mary whispered. "Laura and I saw another one as well. We need to go."
Leticia wanted to help. She didn't want to run. She hesitated to move away from where she was at.
"I don't know." Leticia said.
The whimpering from inside the building grew worse.
"You better act like your life depends upon it, because it does." The male voice said. "That's it, you're done, permanently."
They could hear a series of punches and blows.
Summer watched as the events unfolded.
It looked like CamNet turned the operation over to her by default. She didn't like how it was done.
It was a test to see how she did under pressure. There were lives at stake.
Derek, Kyle and Jim faced a new threat.
Sarah was about to enter the Command Center. She was going to see Kyle was seconds away from being in another firefight. It was going to cause a lot of apprehension over something which couldn't be changed.
Bob, Allison and Vanna were about to intercept Mary and Leticia.
Cam, Cammy, Sheila, Hanna and Ally were on the way to assist Mary and Leticia.
Gail, Holly and Laura were on the way back from the hospital to help any team they could as they neared.
Jan returned to the Command Center earlier.
"Your mom is coming." Summer said. "She's going to be worried if she sees what's happening."
Jan felt the same way right now.
"I'm worried too." Jan said. "I know my dad and uncle will win."
Summer wanted to get an alternative out there.
"You're right. They're the best." Summer said. "I think you can show your mom your new music lesson."
Jan looked at John Henry and then at Summer. She hurried out of the Command Center and took Sarah's hand and led her to the rec room.
There was a lot happening.
Kyle and Derek were ready for the second vehicle of thugs when it arrived. Jim moved the other sedan to the far corner and was with it. Derek and Kyle were at their SUV at the other far corner.
The other sedan shot into the parking lot at the rear of the burning building.
It slowed and pulled up to the rear entrance.
No one got out.
The sedan began to back up. They must have smelled a rat. The building was too engulfed in flames anyway to enter.
The driver spotted the two vehicles in the far corners. He punched it and the sedan shot backwards. It looked like they were going to make a break for it.
Jim, Derek and Kyle all opened up on it with their suppressed M4 carbines. By prearrangement, Kyle shot at the tires and engine compartment. Jim and Derek fired into the passenger compartment from opposite sides and different angles. They were situated so they wouldn't catch each other in a crossfire.
They caught the occupants of the sedan in a wicked storm of gunfire. The sedan slowed and entered a tight rearward circle before it died and came to a stop. So far there was no return fire.
Derek and Kyle fired into the lower section of the doors on their side as Jim did on his side. The Coltan rounds would punch through the sheet metal and find anyone cowering on the floorboards.
Leticia and Mary were still between the two sheds in the back of the florist shop. Leticia previously tried to gain entry through a window.
There was a loud scream this time from around the side of the shed near the rear door. It sounded like someone was out in the back.
They peeked around the corner and saw a female being drug by her hair. A second man kicked her repeatedly.
"You earned what's coming next, Bitch." The first man said.
Leticia started to go to help.
Mary hung onto her.
"They have guns." Mary whispered.
They threw the female in the back of the van. One man entered the rear with her and the other started the van and drove away.
Leticia and Mary pushed back against the wall and ducked down. They hoped the men didn't see them as the van drove off.
Bob's team was almost to the florist shop where Mary and Leticia were at. He was surprised to receive new orders. There was a van with someone being violently abused in the back of it. It just left the florist shop. It was headed towards them right now.
Bob spotted the van a few seconds later.
"The van has a female in the back of it. She's being abused." Bob said.
Bob made a turn to go after it.
Allison looked at the drone footage on her phone.
"What about Leticia and Mary?" Allison asked.
Vanna and Allison both looked in the direction they'd been traveling.
"Cam's team is two minutes out." Bob said. "Gail and Holly will be there in a few minutes as well. They're with Laura."
Jim told Derek and Kyle to remain where they were as he approached the shot up car. There was no movement. There were four down inside.
"They're all terminated." Jim said.
Jim quickly relieved them of their phones, weapons and identification. He handed it all to Derek and Kyle.
Derek and Kyle watched as Jim took them two at a time, and threw them into the raging inferno. It looked like he was tossing rag dolls.
They wanted to get the shot up sedan out of the middle of the parking area. Derek ran over to the other sedan and started it. Kyle got in the disabled car as Derek maneuvered around and got behind him.
Jim wanted to destroy more 'evidence'. It was best to mask what actually happened there. This wasn't a Skynet operation.
"Line it up with the doorway. Once Kyle gets out, shove the car into the inferno." Jim said.
Derek and Kyle were able to get the shot up car lined up.
Kyle got out. Jim hurried over and took Derek's place. The temperature was intense. He didn't want them injured.
"The heat output is very high." Jim said. "I'll do this. Get our SUV ready."
Sheila watched the drone images of the different events from in the back of the van with Ally and Hanna.
They watched as the female was drug by her hair and kicked.
Sheila reached down and touched her knife. Someone needed to pay for everything happening.
"I don't like what they're doing." Sheila said.
Cammy watched it in the front seat.
"Bob's team should go after them." Cammy said.
It looked like the procedure was already initiated.
Cam glanced back from the driver's seat and saw how upset Sheila looked.
"We'll be there in seventy three seconds." Cam said.
The new drone footage showed things just took a turn for the worse.
"Oh, no!" Sheila said. "Make it faster."
Everyone looked at Sheila. Her eyes glowed bright red. The level of violence she would unleash now would be epic.
CamNet created a traffic jam, with traffic management, in front of the florist van with the two men and the abused female.
Bob was able to close up to within two car lengths.
Vanna looked in back of them and saw it was clear. She leaned out and fired one round from her silenced M9. She'd aimed for the right rear tire of the van.
The van made a rapid maneuver to pass the cars in front of it by moving into the parking lane which was empty. The shot missed and ricocheted off the street.
"Great." Vanna said. "My shot's going to hit something else now."
Based on the van's maneuver, Bob wasn't sure if they were 'made' or not.
Bob, Allison and Vanna all received a new transmission from Summer.
"There is a black sedan rapidly approaching you from the left side." Summer said. "It's back twenty car lengths in the center divider space."
The van made a turn down an alley. Bob moved into the parking lane and went after it.
Allison and Vanna each charged their M4. Things looked like they were about to go hot on several different levels.
Gail and Holly received new instructions. They were to assist Bob's team. There was a new player on the field. The team was in danger. There was a threat in front and in back of them now.
Laura noticed the rapid lane change as 'Lisa' sped up and then made a high speed turn.
"What's wrong?" Laura asked.
Gail didn't want to get specific. There were actually a couple of negative events.
"There's been a new development." Gail said.
Laura saw the blank look was back on 'Lisa's' face.
It looked like – death.
Leticia and Mary backed up to the wall and ducked between the sheds as the van left.
They didn't see the female who looked out the window of the building behind them as they did it.
"We need to get out of here." Mary whispered.
There was a muffled scream inside again.
Leticia was reluctant to walk away with someone in distress.
"We need to do something." Leticia whispered.
They both stood and were about to peek around the side of the shed towards the back of the building and the sedan parked there.
Leticia moved forward first.
They were both startled when they were confronted by a man with a gun.
"It looks like my day just got a whole lot better." The man said.
Mary and Leticia wanted to run. There was nowhere to go. They were corralled between the two sheds and the wall behind them.
A female appeared behind him with a gun. She moved around him and roughly searched Leticia and Mary. She spent a little extra time on their breasts.
"They'll bring top dollar." The female said. "Everything on them is natural. They both have nipple rings."
The smile on the man's face broadened.
"This is going to call for a closer inspection." The man said. "I'm going to personally break both of them in for their new lifestyle. You'll both be doing twenty men a night in two days."
The man laughed as he roughly pushed Leticia and Mary towards the rear entrance. He made a point to grab each of their rear ends.
The female thug thought the girls would draw a more elite clientele. It would be less customers, but for a lot more money per trick.
"You two girls are headed for a high class stable." The female said. "I'm going to teach you how to be a real hit."
It was Mary's fear with 'Sue' and her group. Now it was about to happen.
Mary and Leticia looked over and saw the other florist van coming down the alley towards them. They were sure it was the one with the 'special girls' in it. The man and woman pushed them inside. They didn't see the van coming.
The man roughly touched Leticia's breasts.
Leticia pushed his hand away and faced him.
"Did you see the sunset last night?" Leticia asked.
The question seemed to irritate the man.
"What's that supposed to mean?" The man asked as he shoved Leticia harder.
Leticia turned around and faced him again.
Mary didn't think it was a good time for heroics.
"It means you'll never see another one." Leticia said.
The man went to hit Leticia across the face with his gun.
The female thug stopped him. She needed to be able to 'sell' the product.
"Don't damage the merchandise." The female said. "It will come out of your pay."
The reprimand angered the man even more. He didn't like a female boss anyway. If she wasn't such a Bitch, he'd do her right now too. Women needed to know their place. It was to provide a man with sexual comfort. They could also cook, clean and make money for him to spend. It didn't really matter how they earned it.
"Let's get these sluts strapped down and start their training." The man said as he looked at Leticia. "You'll see what a real man is like."
Leticia faced him down.
"When a real man gets here, let us know." Leticia said.
The man grew angrier.
"Take it out of my pay." The man said. "This bitch is going to suffer."
The man took out a knife. He was going to hurt her, he just wasn't sure where yet.
Cam and Cammy looked ahead as the van closed in on the rear of the florist shop.
"Slow up." Cammy said. "I see them. We can take them by surprise once they enter."
Cam slowed way down.
"If they spot the van before they go inside, they should think it was the one which left and it was returning." Ally said. "We're all ready to go."
Sheila planned to deal with the thugs personally.
"I have point." Sheila said. "You all can check the other rooms. I'm going on until I find Leticia and Mary."
Cam and Cammy would take the east side of the rear door. Ally and Hanna would take the west side. It was the side Sheila would lead on as well.
The doors of the van were already open as Cam slowed the van. The girls were all on the ground and moving before it came to a stop. Cam parked the van and hopped out. She joined them as they headed for the rear door.
Sheila led the way. She was an army of one right now.
It was Showtime.
Riley was bothered by the tear she saw on Samantha's cheek. It was clear she hurt inside. She wasn't sure about what.
She went to her room and decided to take another shower.
Wait.
She'd already done it enough today.
Riley paced back and forth in her room for a while. She went back out and looked in Precious' room. Samantha was still standing in the corner.
There were a million thoughts exploding through her head.
Riley knew there was a fifteen seconds delay for Samantha to become active out of standby. She walked up to her and saw there was a tear in the other side of her face as well.
"I want to be with you." Riley said. "I love you, Samantha."
Riley walked away. She didn't know if Samantha would reboot over it or not. It was just something she'd needed to say.
"I love you too, Riley." Samantha said.
Riley stopped and looked back. It hadn't been fifteen seconds yet. It meant Samantha was just standing there with her eyes closed and tears on her cheeks.
There were even more tears on Samantha's cheeks now.
Riley walked back and faced Samantha again. She wanted to make sure what she'd just said was heard.
Samantha's eyes were wide open.
"I love you, Samantha." Riley said. "I want to be with you."
A faint smile showed on Samantha's face.
"I want it too." Samantha said.
Riley didn't know the extent of Samantha's sexual activity. She was worried about Samantha's well-being. She was aware the consequences could be extreme.
"I don't want you to be deactivated because of me." Riley said.
Samantha knew Cameron was afraid Riley would leave Derek if she became involved with other females. The fear was, when Riley wanted to be with a male again, it would be John.
"It can only work if two things happen, or in one case, something doesn't happen." Samantha said. "If either one happens, I'll be terminated."
Riley knew it was on her now. She wanted to make sure.
"What are they?" Riley asked.
Samantha didn't believe she was the one who needed to say it.
"I think you know." Samantha said.
Riley did know. She'd already played every scenario in her mind.
"The first one is, I need to remain with Derek as his wife and keep our family together." Riley said.
Samantha saw it as a long term commitment.
"It can never change, even if you want to break up at some point in the future." Samantha said. "It will come back on me."
Riley didn't have a problem with Derek. She just needed a little more. It was the 'future' in her which sought it out.
"I think I can do it." Riley said. "It won't be a problem."
Samantha pointed out what she'd thought earlier.
"Now there's the most important one." Samantha said.
Riley was well aware of what it was. She'd almost violated it today.
"I can never be with John, even if he asks me." Riley said. "I can't seduce him or be seduced by him no matter how much we want it."
It seemed pretty cut and dried to Samantha.
"It's either him or me." Samantha said. "It can never be both."
Riley knew life was about choices.
"I tried to be with him earlier." Riley said. "I wasn't."
It left Samantha with a hollow feeling.
"My existence, my life, will be in your hands." Samantha said.
Riley figured she'd gone quite a few years without 'failing', even if she'd thought about it a few times.
"I would rather be with Sarah than John if I was given a choice." Riley said.
Neither Riley nor Samantha was going to admit they'd already done so.
"I may want the same thing too one day." Samantha said.
Riley couldn't quite picture Sarah with a Terminator.
"It would be something to see…." Riley said.
Samantha walked away from the wall and checked on Precious. She was fine. She continued over to Riley. They moved out into the hall.
"You need to make a big decision about both of our futures." Samantha said.
Riley felt a lot of responsibility. If she hadn't been with Claire and Sarah she would have made the choice for Samantha instantly. Now she'd tasted the 'forbidden fruit' with two very special women.
"I don't know how strong my long term resolve will be." Riley said.
Samantha didn't either.
CamNet's Terminator took one look around him as he approached the front door. No one else was spotted. He reached for the door handle. He thought he would need to force the door open. He was a little surprised it was unlocked.
He walked into the small lobby. He could see there were two chairs and a small bench to sit on. There was a sliding glass window in the wall with a door next to it.
He'd only spotted the two surveillance cameras outside. CamNet currently controlled them. There was no camera in the lobby area. He'd expected to see someone behind the two little glass doors in the window. No one was there. He moved up to the little windows and looked in. There was a desk with a phone on it. There wasn't much else.
The Terminator moved over to the door. He tried the handle. It didn't turn. It was locked.
He pushed slowly on the door. He could hear the wood frame behind it splinter. He quickly opened the door and moved inside. His silenced M9 was in his right hand. He entered the hall. There were four doors on each side of the hall with another door at the end of it. He checked the first two on each side. The four rooms were empty. There were four more doors to go, plus the one on the end. The next door on the left was a restroom. It was empty. The door across from it was a small conference room. It was unoccupied. He move down towards the last three doors. One of them led to the workroom area.
The door on the left side was a break room type area. The door a little further down on the right side was the utility room. He noted there was a ladder which went up towards the roof.
He reached for the door at the end of the hall. CamNet already provided him with the layout of the building. She sent him the original blueprints. He was aware the interior construction of a building could change over the years. Most of them were unauthorized changes for the particular tenant at the time.
He could hear the voices of at least four males on the other side of the door. It sounded to him as if they were packing things up. He wondered if they were about to pull out. He could hear footsteps coming. He quickly retreated into the utility room. Maybe he could take the men a few at a time.
"I'll be right back." The first man said. "I'm going to use the can for a few minutes."
The door into the hall opened and closed.
He opened the door from the utility room and reached out. He grabbed the man by the back of his neck and flicked his wrist. He could hear his neck snap. He carried the body into utility room. He quickly relieved the man of his phone and firearm. He tossed him in the corner next to the water heater.
The Terminator exited the utility room and reached for the door at the end of the hall.
Lena and Tina exited the SUV and prepared to 'welcome' their 'guests'.
The five motorcycles were close.
The SUV was currently parked behind what remained of the adobe building. It wasn't in plain sight.
Lena went over to where the well was at. She looked down into it. It would serve their purpose well. She moved to the far side of the well.
The bikers pulled up and parked in a row about ten feet away from her. They shut the motorcycles down.
"I'm glad to see you". Lena said. "My friend slipped and fell in the hole here."
The six biker's looked at each other. It wasn't what they'd expected to hear.
The passenger on the one motorcycle got off and started to walk towards her.
"Where's your SUV at?" The first biker asked.
Lena pointed at the dirt road off to the side.
"We're backpackers. Some crazy lady went by here at full speed a while ago." Lena said. "It's what made my friend fall into the hole."
The bikers all looked at each other. They weren't sure if the person in front of them was the one who'd been in the SUV or not.
The first biker near the well looked back at the others.
"Mongo, go take a look around the building." The first biker said.
A big brute of a man got off the motorcycle closest to the adobe building.
"Slasher, you'd better go with him." The first biker said.
The two bikers headed for the remains of the adobe building.
The other two bikers walked up to join the first biker.
Lena wanted to keep them distracted. She knew Tina would deal with the other two bikers headed in her direction.
"Listen, you can hear her." Lena said.
The three bikers look down into the hole. They didn't hear anything.
"What is this?" The first biker asked.
She could hear Tina's silenced M9 cough twice in back of the adobe.
Lena smiled. She now held her silenced M9 in her hand.
"It's the end of the line." Lena said. "It makes the next part a lot simpler for me."
Lena fired three times. The bikers collapsed where they were. Two of them fell into the hole. She moved around to the side and pushed on the third one with her foot. He fell in as well.
Tina came from around the back of the adobe. She pulled a terminated biker with each hand by their ankle.
"I can see your operation went smoothly." Tina said.
Lena went over to assist her.
"It was like a quick baseball inning." Lena said. "It was three up and three down."
They dumped the other two bikers on top of the ones below. They moved over to where the five motorcycles were. They pick them up one by one and dropped them down into the hole as well.
"What a waste of machinery." Tina said.
Lena agreed with her. It could be a different scenario though.
"Better them than us." Lena said.
Tina armed a Thermite grenade and dropped it down into the well.
It exploded in the confines of the well and showered everything with burning Thermite. The fuel tanks on the motorcycle begin to rupture and shower everything below them with burning fuel.
The two female Terminators headed back to their SUV. They drove back out to the highway. They hurried back to the junction and turned west on it. They were now headed in the same direction as the Gray, the female Fanatic, and the main body of bikers.
The drone over them didn't show any other vehicles between them and the bikers.
Lena and Tina readied themselves for the next encounter.
The female Fanatic continued to look behind them as they tracked the Gray in front of them. They went over a few more small hills. At the top of the tallest one, she could see the little dots on the shimmering pavement in the distance.
"I caught a glimpse of them when we crested the hill." The female Fanatic said.
Jill quickly looked in her rear view mirror. She felt her gut tighten slightly. She thought about her dream again. She reached down and touched the cold metal of the Beretta.
"It doesn't sound like they're gaining on us very quickly." Jill said. "Maybe they'll just pass on by."
The female Fanatic wanted their target to be in front of them. She didn't want it behind them.
"We need to remember our objective." The female Fanatic said. "We'll cross any other bridge when we come to it."
The female Fanatic took one more look behind them. There was nothing close. She turned her attention back to the Gray in front of them.

Cameron drove by the railroad station. Things looked pretty quiet around it. She drove once around the hotel. Everything appeared to be normal. She headed for the 'shady' part of town.
She turned on the radio to hear the latest update. There weren't very many stations which came in clearly. She was able to tune in one station with some music.
'Matchbox', by 'Carl Perkins', played.
She actually preferred the performance by the 'Sunset Trio' of the same tune. It wasn't going to happen for a few decades yet. The rendition by the 'Mavericks' was also good. It was 'Carl Perkins' again, with some other musicians. The best part was it was performed with a little less 'hillbilly twang' to the lyrics.
She looked around as she drove. She could see not much changed over the decades when one was on the 'shady' side of town. It appeared to be the same story, a different place, or in this case, a different time period.
There was no way to know what drove each of the individuals she'd spotted to be in the circumstances they currently were in. She wasn't sure it really mattered. All it showed was a low character and moral value. She wasn't big on morals herself, but she did try to follow Savannah suggestions to help build her character. Savannah always told her when she saw something wrong, she needed to make it right. Those who committed the wrongs, were more than likely destined to become Scavengers in the future after J-Day.
She was pleasantly surprised when the next tune started on the radio. It was from a local boy. Well, sort of.
"Oh Boy', by 'The Crickets', was the next song.
When they were at the first house, after they'd arrived from the past of 1999, she used to watch a lot of movies at night when everyone else was asleep. There wasn't much for her to do. She watched different movies about a number of musicians, as well as actors and actresses. She actually preferred the music from the movie over the original version of 'Oh Boy'. The movie was called 'The Buddy Holly Story'.
There was a scream off to the side.
Cameron quickly became aware of her surroundings. She didn't have a set destination. She was on a dark back street. She'd just passed an alley. She pulled over to the curb and shut the Thunderbird off. She took the keys and opened the trunk. She'd spotted a hat in there earlier. It seemed to be something a lot of people wore during this time period. 'Western style' hats were especially so in Texas.
She stuffed her hair up under the hat. She turned the brim down a little as well. She checked her Government Model. The magazine only contained five rounds when she'd acquired the firearm. One of them was now in the chamber. It only left four in the magazine. There was still room for three more. She didn't have any yet. She was sure she would appropriate more weapons and money before the night was done.
There was another scream from the alley as she approached it. She entered the alley and boldly strode down the center of it. There were two men off to the side with a female. One of the men held her while the other one attempted to remove her clothing.
The man who held the female noticed there was someone there. He indicated to the man who currently accosted the female of the newcomer.
"Nice night for a walk." The first man said.
Cameron continued to walk towards them.
"The female, give her to me, now." Cameron said in a male voice.
The two men, and the female, all looked in Cameron's direction.
"I think this guy is a couple of cans short of a six pack." The second man said.
The first man turned and faced Cameron.
"Take off now and you won't get hurt." The first man said. "We're here to collect what she owes us."
Cameron continued to walk towards them.
"Wrong." Cameron said in male voice.
The second man roughly pushed the female down to the ground and told her to stay there.
The two men walked forward to confront Cameron.
The alley was very dimly lit.
One of the men produced a knife. The other one carried some type of blackjack.
The two men could see the individual approaching them wasn't dissuaded or intimidated by them. It worried them more than a little. Normally, most people cowered in fear when they accosted them.
"What do you want, pal?" The first man asked.
The second man looked a little nervous.
"Just wait for your turn." The second man said. "There's plenty there for all of us."
Cameron stopped in front of both men.
"Have you ever met a Terminator before?" Cameron asked in a male voice.
The two men looked confused.
Cameron's eyes glowed red.
Both of the men took a step back.
"Let me introduce you to one." Cameron said in a male voice.
Before either man could react, she grabbed both of them by the neck and slammed them down to the asphalt. She could hear bones break. They were both unconscious. Neither appeared to have terminal injuries.
The female got up and tried to straighten her dress some. From where the female was at, against the wall in the alley, she hadn't seen Cameron's eyes glow red.
"Who are you?" The female asked.
Cameron turned to walk away. She glanced back over her shoulder.
"Nobody…." Cameron said in a male voice. "Take whatever they owe you and leave the area. One of them has a knife. It's up to you what you want to do with it."
Cameron hurried out of the alley. She took one look back as she left the alley and saw the female going through the men's pockets. She figured she'd done her part. The rest was up to the female. Life was about choices. She could only do so much.
She drove around the area a few more times and scoped out a few promising locations where she could acquire more weapons and money. She wanted to come back a little later.
She drove to the better part of town. At one point she found herself in front of a few ballet studios. It reminded her of the Russian chess player and his sister. She knew now she should have done more to assist them. It wasn't the way she operated back then. Savannah taught her there was a better way to function. She felt she'd just done so.
She drove back to the hotel and looked around the area. Everything appeared to be relatively calm. She pulled into the station parking lot and turned the car off. She could hear the deep throated throb of normally aspirated, two cycle, diesel engines approaching. She knew they were products of EMD. It was the Electro Motive Division of General Motors. They were most likely F7 cab units or GP9 hood units. The former EMD units produced fifteen hundred horsepower, the latter EMD units produced seventeen hundred and fifty horsepower. Within the next few years there would be locomotives with double the horsepower. The power plants would be of a larger displacement. They would go from 567 cubic inches per cylinder to 645 cubic inches per cylinder. They also adopted the use of a turbocharger. It supplemented the mechanical supercharger. A few decades later it would be pushed to 710 cubic inches per cylinder. The engines would be constructed with a various number of cylinders from eight, up to twenty. The normal horsepower rating for a twenty cylinder engine was three thousand six hundred horsepower. A few were pushed all the way up to four thousand two hundred horsepower. It was power they could turn out for days on end, until their monthly servicing.
They were big brutes of machines. She was just a brute of a machine. She was aware her power cell could generate much more power.
She headed back to the shady part of town. It was time to cash in.
Young Allison heard the train go by. It was the third one since she'd lain down. She got up from the bed with the Model 19 in her hand. She walked over to the window and looked out. She saw the T-Bird move away from the station. She really wondered what Cameron was up to.
She used the restroom and checked the chair against the door. Everything was secure.
She lay back down on the bed. She moved the Model 19 back under the pillow. There was a lot on her mind. It prevented her from falling back to sleep right away. She just needed to relax a little. Her right hand slipped down a little lower. Soon she was lost in a world of pleasure. Sleep came soon afterwards.
Cameron went by what she'd identified earlier as a location for gambling. She parked the Thunderbird around the corner and approached the structure. She moved along the side of it to where the electrical box was located. It was near the rear of the structure. It was where she planned to make entry. She opened it and threw the main breaker. The interior of the building was plunged into darkness.
She moved around to the back. There was a bouncer standing there. He didn't look out towards the back, he currently looked into the building. She moved up to him. She yanked him away from the door. She slammed her fist into his chest. The blow sent his body sprawling out into the rear parking lot. She entered the building and took a quick look around. She could see there was a state of confusion amongst the patrons. Most of them appeared to be rather inebriated. She moved around the table where the card game was going on.
She hit each of the men in the side of the head with enough force to render them unconscious. She was sure they would all have a concussion. She didn't know if any of them would terminate later on. She quickly collected all of the cash. It was several thousand dollars. She looked over the men quickly. She also scored a few thousand more in cash. She came up with three additional firearms. All of them were various types of revolvers. She dumped everything into a hat she took from one of the unconscious men.
She made her way back outside of the building to where the bouncer was sprawled on the ground. She checked him. She was pleased to see he carried an auto-loader. She was a little surprised at what type of auto-loader it was. It was a Parabellum pistol. It was a PO8 manufactured by Erfurt. The pistol was most commonly referred to as a Luger in the United States. There was a date on the frame over the chamber stamped 1916. She figured it was a war trophy. More than likely it belonged to his father from The Great War. World War One was always known as the Great War until there was World War Two.
She climbed back into the Thunderbird and drove away. She drove to an area where there were several bars located. She waited until it was all clear. She pulled up with the T-Bird and parked. She made sure the windows were down and the keys were in the ignition. She got out of it and walked away with her new bounty. She quickly disappeared down an alley, it came out three streets over. She made her way back towards the hotel.
She figured someone from one of the bars would see the car parked there with the keys in it and take it. It was what she wanted them to do. Anyone else who saw the car at the other locations where the incidents occurred, would think whoever drove it now was the perpetrator. She figured it would take care of a couple of problems simultaneously.
Cameron still wore the western style hat as she walked down the street. If anyone spotted her, she should look just like another 'man' walking down the street. She was back near the hotel in a short amount of time.
Long Term Resolve
When one seeks out another
What is it they will find
Will the fruits of their efforts
Actually leave them confined
When all the facts are presented
What will one be able to ascertain
One may need to wonder
If they are even still sane
Is it ever possible to go back
And past events rectify
The results to fix what's broken
Only seem to cause them to amplify
When two heads butt
Is there ever a positive settlement
It will all depend
If the other is benevolent
To attempt to change the orbit
Around what things revolve
Isn't an easy task to solve
It will take some long term resolve
Nobody
