Chapter 1486
Put This On
Leticia moved away from Mary as she faced the man with the knife. She didn't want Mary to be injured either.
Mary wanted to help, but the female thug shoved her gun hard into her back.
"She'll end up with a Glasgow smile. She's finished." The female thug said. "She'll turn tricks for two bucks and be known as 'Scarface'."
Mary looked out a window as they passed a room. She saw the other van with the doors all open on it sitting in back of the building. She knew it was the 'special girls'.
"I don't think she'll be the one who goes by that name." Mary said.
The female thug pushed Mary in front of her. She didn't like how mouthy the two new girls were.
"I think you're both going to be busted up by the end of the first day." The female thug said. "It happens all of the time."
Mary remembered what Leticia said about 'Sue' and her aggressive behavior towards other females. She could understand it now. She wanted to snap this Bitch's neck herself. She'd like to be the one who pushed a gun into the back of the Bitch. She was so angry right now she would probably pull the trigger.
Leticia faced the man with the gun and the knife.
"You're a big boy with weapons." Leticia said. "Put them down and 'tame' me. Prove to me you're a man, one on one. I bet you're too afraid to do it."
The man became angrier. He wondered what was up with this crazy Bitch. She must be high on speed or something.
"You're going to lose a lot today, Bitch." The man said. "You'd better watch your tongue."
Leticia laughed.
"Behold your fate." Leticia said.
A fraction of a second later, the door they'd just entered fifteen seconds ago flew inward off its hinges and through the wall in back of it.
It was 'Sue' followed by 'Peggy' and 'Ann'. They were headed straight for them. There were two of 'Barbara'. They went the other way.
The man's brain tried to process what just happened. He went to turn to use his gun. Before he was half way around Leticia slammed her foot into the back, and side, of his knee. The blow collapsed his knee. It sent him towards the ground. He never made it all the way.
Sheila was on the man in a second. She chopped both of his arms and broke them with compound fractures. The knife and the gun fell to the floor. It was where he was headed from having his knee kicked out. She grabbed him by the neck and picked him up with her left hand. She continued her forward motion and moved past Leticia and grabbed the female thug as well. She was able to get a shot off. It went wild as Mary knocked her arm up in the air.
It was only three seconds since the door was knocked through the wall in front of it.
Two seconds ago:
Leticia saw her chance to hurt the man and kicked his knee out. She was surprised to hear both his arms break and see him picked up in the air after he was in the process of falling. 'Sue' moved past her with him like a rag doll in her left hand. She was on the female thug in a flash. The shot she got off was wild but it was loud in the confines of the hall. 'Sue' carried both of them away and headed for a brick wall with them.
Hanna and Ally were right behind Sheila.
Ally looked at Leticia and Mary.
"Lay down flat on the floor immediately." Ally said as she passed them.
Hanna made sure they did. There were still more rooms to clear. There was most likely going to be more gunfire.
Ally checked the first room on her right, there was a female tied to a bed. She didn't move. She was probably drugged.
Hanna passed Ally and checked the next room on the other side.
There was a naked man in there. There was a female secured to the bed. He scrambled to get to his clothes as he looked for his gun. Hanna fired her silenced M9 once. She hit him in the head. He impacted the floor on his back. She noted what was still at 'full attention'. His heart would stop beating soon enough. All of him could rest in peace when it did.
Sheila slammed both of the people she held in each hand into the brick wall at the end of the hall. She could hear bones break on both of them. Their heads impacted hard against the brick wall. She dropped their limp bodies to the floor. She didn't want them terminated yet. She'd been able to hear the conversation they'd conducted with the two girls when they exited the van and headed for the door.
She was at the end room at this point. There was another female in there standing over a female who was secured to the bed. There was a naked man scrambling for his gun. She saw Mary and Leticia were down on the floor. Cammy was with them now. Hanna and Ally entered the last two rooms. Their end of the building was secure.
Sheila didn't draw her M9 but went after both the man and the woman like she'd just done with the other pair. She squeezed extra hard on both of their necks to make sure they could never scream again and slammed both of them into the brick wall with the window. They hit the wall so hard, the glass in the window cracked. More bones were broken.
She wanted these people alive. She wanted them to know what happened to them, as it happened. She hadn't even started on them yet. She was still upset she didn't get to 'work' on the men at the other place.
Leticia watched 'Sue' act. She looked like a superhero in action.
Mary saw Leticia hadn't exaggerated about what 'Sue' could do. Not only could she lift a female in the air by her neck, she did it with a grown man as well, both at the same time! She heard bones break when 'Sue" slammed them into the brick wall.
'Barbara' was over them now with a silenced pistol in her hand.
"Stay down for now." Cammy said.
Leticia and Mary were only inside the building for less than thirty seconds. The 'special girls' were in for half the amount of time.
Sheila came out of the end room. She told the other Metal girls what she wanted. Ally, Hanna and Cammy went to work.
Cam went through the building twice and stayed in contact with Summer about what was happening around them. She collected hard drives and phones.
Sheila hurried to Leticia and Mary.
Leticia gave her a hug.
"I knew you'd come." Leticia said.
Mary was still awed by what 'Sue' was able to do.
"You looked like Supergirl." Mary said.
Sheila tilted her head slightly.
"I can't fly." Sheila said.
Cam reported the building was secure.
Sheila helped Leticia and Mary up.
"Put this on." Sheila said.
She took off her vest and put it on Leticia. Ally gave her vest to Mary.
Mary still tried to process everything which happened in the last minute.
"How did you just do everything?" Mary asked.
Sheila didn't think now seemed like a good time for confessions.
"With style, love." Sheila said. "With style."
Cam carried one of the abused girls out past them. She didn't want any specifics. Not yet anyway. She didn't want them to dwell on it.
"Let's not worry about anything right now." Cam said. "There will be no questions about us."
She'd put shorts and a top on the abused girl. She carried her out to the van.
Cammy followed with another one. Hanna carried out the third one.
Mary could see the condition of the girls they carried.
"Those girls are all drugged." Mary said. "What will happen to them?"
Sheila didn't want them to worry.
"They'll be taken to a hospital." Sheila said. "If they want to enter, it is up to them. Most choose not to."
Leticia wondered what kind of a place they were actually in. She'd heard stories about such places over the years. Some of her 'Masters' told her they would sell her to a place like it.
"Can we look around?" Leticia asked.
Hanna returned inside.
She retrieved the keys to the sedan from the first man's clothing.
"We're on the way to the hospital." Hanna said.
Sheila looked at Mary and Leticia. She wanted to give them an option to avoid the bloodshed she was about to unleash.
"Do you want to go with them?" Sheila asked. "It's going to get messy here, real messy."
Ally came back out into the hall.
"Everything's ready." Ally said. "I'll take another look around."
Leticia and Mary spotted the nude dead guy on the floor in one room. They looked, but didn't comment. Sheila led them to the next room. Both of the men were now nude. They were tied to the beds which were usually 'reserved' for females.
They both noted the bones sticking out of the one man's forearms. Both men were dazed and bleeding from the mouth from massive internal injuries.
"Are you going to call an ambulance for them or something?" Mary asked.
Sheila almost laughed. She wasn't about to show any type of mercy.
"Hardly, they're both dead. They just don't know it yet." Sheila said. "They wouldn't have called one for you."
Mary could see the girls played for keeps. They operated outside of the law.
Sheila handed Leticia the knife.
"You can do what you want to them." Sheila said. "I heard what the one punk said to you. His fate is in your hands, quite literally."
Leticia looked at the knife, the men, Mary, and back at 'Sue'.
"I don't know." Leticia said.
Mary took the knife from Leticia.
"I do." Mary asked. "Where's the Bitch at who stuck a gun in my back? I have something to stick into hers."
Bob made his move to go after the van with the female prisoner in the back. She was the innocent one in all of this.
"I see the other car." Vanna said. "It's still in the center divider and coming fast."
Allison watched it too.
"I don't think they're after us." Allison said.
Bob didn't think so either.
"If they're after the van, they must have had the place under surveillance too." Bob said. "There are often rival gangs involved in these affairs. There's a lot of money involved in the dealings of the underworld. Most of it is actually drug related."
Bob sent a warning to CamNet. It was answered by Summer. It made him smile. She was his favorite. She reminded him of River. He knew she wouldn't hesitate to act.
Vanna could only imagine what was happening inside the van. It wasn't anything good.
"We still need to deal with the female prisoner in the van." Vanna said. "I want her out of there."
Allison wanted some action. She knew where to get it.
"Stop the van and destroy the car." Allison said.
Vanna and Bob knew Allison wasn't talking to them. It must be to Summer.
Bob hung back and let the sedan pass them. It entered the alley after the van.
Gail received instructions from Summer on where to go.
Holly checked their location from the drone footage.
"It looks like two rival gangs are about to mix it up." Holly said.
Gail looked at the drone image on her phone. They'd been able to make good time.
"We should arrive at the end of the alley before the van can exit." Gail said.
Holly handed her vest back to Laura.
"Put this on right now." Holly said.
Laura didn't want to endanger 'Mysti'. 'Lisa' looked back at her.
"Do it - now." Gail said.
Holly would have hoped for a little bit better armament.
"I wish we had a LAW rocket." Holly said.
Gail knew they didn't carry much other than their silenced M9 and Taser.
"We don't." Gail said.
Laura got the vest on. 'Mysti' checked it for her.
Holly wanted to make sure Laura understood the rules.
"Stay down when we stop." Holly said.
Laura wondered what she'd gotten herself into at this point.
Gail made a turn and pulled into the end of the alley. She wanted to keep the engine block between the enemy and where Laura was at.
Laura peeked up from the back seat over the dashboard. There were sparks flying up in front, and in back, of a van. It stopped abruptly.
'Lisa' and 'Mysti' both were out of the car and on their way to reach it. They each carried a pistol with what looked like a silencer on it. It was just like Leticia said it would be. Leticia said all 'secret agents' carried a silenced gun. She'd seen it in all the movies.
Bob let the sedan enter the alley. He hung back for a few moments. He made a slow turn into the alley.
Summer made him aware of what was about to happen. She'd already dropped two drones down to twenty thousand feet. It was a risk in the daytime, but the girl inside the van was in danger. She may not even still be alive.
The sedan and the van were both showered with 'metal hail' around them. The sedan took a concentrated direct hit. It was the intent. The van received 'metal hail' in front and in back of it to flatten the tires.
Vanna and Allison watched what happened.
"Let's get up there." Vanna said.
Bob pulled up in back of the sedan. He didn't spot any movement inside the vehicle.
"Wait here." Bob said.
Allison glanced back at Vanna.
"Yeah, right." Allison said.
Allison got out with her M4.
Vanna did as well.
Bob reached inside the sedan and snapped one man's neck who was still alive. The car was covered with holes and dents from front to back.
Allison spotted Gail and Holly on their way from the far side.
The back of the van burst open and a man wearing only pants came out of it. Vanna and Allison both fired one shot at him. His pants slipped down as he fell. He evidently hadn't had time to fasten them. He impacted hard with the ground. The man in the front tried to take up a shooting stance at Gail and Holly. They both fired their silenced M9 pistols at him. He went down instantly.
Laura watched it all happen. She saw the keys were still in the ignition. She thought about getting in the driver's seat and leaving. She didn't. She wanted to help.
She wasn't really surprised when she saw the big 'security officer' from the ship carrying a female. Her heart sank when she feared it could be one of the girls.
She spotted another van coming down the street followed by a sedan.
She was about to honk the horn when 'Mysti' returned.
"Get ready to drive." Holly said.
Laura quickly moved up to the driver's seat.
The van stopped and the side door opened. She could see 'Barbara' was in there with some other girls. It looked like the van they'd left off earlier at the hospital.
The big 'security officer' loaded the girl into the side door. 'Barbara' closed the door and the van left.
Holly wanted Laura to follow them to the hospital as she'd done with them earlier.
"Stay with them and bring them back once they're finished." Holly said. "They'll get instructions where to go then."
Laura took off after the van. She still wore 'Mysti's' vest.
It was like déjà vu. She did exactly what she'd done just a very short time ago.
Hanna backed the sedan she'd taken from the florist shop up. Bob, Gail and Holly all piled a dead man in the back seat.
"Pop the trunk." Bob said.
Bob and Gail returned with one more dead man each and stuffed them in the trunk.
Gail took off her vest and gave it to Holly.
"Allison will take her vest off to give to you if you don't have one on." Gail said.
Holly nodded and put it on.
Gail got in the front seat with Hanna. They drove off with the sedan full of dead men.
Allison was now behind the wheel of the SUV. Vanna was in the back seat. She figured Holly would want to ride with Allison in the front.
They watched as Holly and Bob each picked up one end of the sedan first, and then the van. They set them in a parking spot off to the side in the alley. The van blocked the view of the sedan. If anyone called them in, they would be identified as 'movie props'. They hurried to the SUV and Holly got in the front. Bob got in next to Vanna in the rear seat.
Allison drove through the alley and out the other side. She could feel her heart pounding and the adrenaline flowing. She glanced over at Holly.
"Where are we off to?" Allison asked. "I'm pretty sure we're not done yet."
Kyle got behind the wheel of their SUV at the janitorial front building. Derek got in next to him.
They watched as Jim pushed the second sedan into the burning building. He went in a little further than either of them could have.
He moved the car back and got out. The plastic covering on the bumper was burning. He reached down inside and they heard the engine rev up. He'd wedged the accelerator pedal to the floor. He moved the shift selector into 'Drive' from 'Neutral'. The car squealed its tires and shot ahead into the burning building.
Kyle pulled up. Jim got in the back seat. They drove away from the raging inferno.
"Where are we off to?" Kyle asked. "I'm pretty sure we're not done yet."
John finished with Claire one more time. It pleased her immensely. He'd waited for her to make it first. It allowed her to make it a second time.
No sooner than Claire released him, he rolled off to the side. Jesse moved in and took over. She worked intently on Claire.
He moved over in back of Jesse. She went up on her knees. He did to Jesse, what she did to Claire.
Once both girls made it again. They decided it was time to get cleaned up.
Riley understood what she did going forward would affect what happened to Samantha.
Riley lifted Samantha's hand to the back of her neck.
"I promise to stay with Derek and Precious." Riley said. "I promise not to be with John ever, no matter what happens. I love you, Samantha."
Samantha wanted Riley's love.
"I love you too." Samantha said.
Samantha moved to kiss Riley. They kissed a quick kiss. It was their first kiss. They looked at each other and shared a real kiss. Samantha stayed with it until Riley needed to breathe.
"It was awesome." Riley gasped.
Samantha felt things hadn't even started yet.
"Wait until I do it elsewhere." Samantha said.
Riley lightly moistened her lips in anticipation.
Samantha went to remove Riley's clothes.
Riley didn't want them to get ahead of themselves. She didn't want to create an incident if it could be avoided.
"Not yet." Riley said. "I need to find out when Derek will be back."
Samantha used her com. She reached Summer instead of John Henry. She found it different. Summer was able to give her a time frame. She thanked her.
"We have about an hour." Samantha said.
Riley looked at Samantha with love in her eyes.
"I've wanted this for so long." Riley said.
Samantha felt the same way
"I have too." Samantha said.
They kissed again.
Samantha picked Riley up and carried her to her bedroom.
"I've always wanted someone to do that first." Riley said. "Thank you."
The act made Riley feel like she mattered and was important for once.
They stripped each other and Samantha lifted Riley onto the bed.
They kissed again and shared slowly and sweetly.
Riley was highly excited to see everything on Samantha was identical to Claire. How Hot was that?
Riley was only ever with a Metal girl once. She'd almost forgotten how special it was. Samantha soon reminded her.
It was heaven on earth….
Samantha was thrilled to be with Riley after all of this time. It was what she'd secretly wanted since the first day she was 'assigned' to assist Riley.
She planned to see if there was something she could do to assist Riley to get her production up. She worked on her pretty hard. She also determined Vanna tasted the best. Riley and Jesse were about the same.
She was glad she'd asked Summer to let her know ten minutes before Derek got back. Time seemed irrelevant to her right now.
Riley thought life was good in Paradise.
Sarah was pleased at how thrilled Jan was with her music lesson and what she could do on her own now. It was actually quite beautiful.
It made her wonder if Claire could teach her more. They learned to make sexual music together. She would like to learn some music for real.
It would be a blast to set Kyle down and be able to play something for him.
"Can you show me how to do the same thing?" Sarah asked.
Jan was very pleased she might be able to teach her mother something.
"Sure, Mom, it'd be great." Jan said. "I'd love to."
Summer hoped Sarah received her 'suggestion' to work with Jan.
She was satisfied so far with the way everything happened. It looked like they needed to tie up a few loose ends. She really wondered what Sheila was going to tell Mary and Leticia.
She waited with some anticipation to see what Sheila was going to do with the four dying detainees.
She was surprised when Mary took the knife from Leticia.
Summer was relieved to see more drones arrive. She needed to see if she could trace where the rogue sedan came from and how they knew to go after the van. There was a good chance others from the new group may arrive to attack the florist shop.
She directed Bob's team and Jim's team to go there as backup on each corner.
Hanna and Gail were already headed there to dump the bodies before they torched the whole place.
Cammy and Cam were almost to a different hospital. She was pleased to see Laura stayed with them.
She'd expected a little more communication from CamNet. Right now CamNet only acted on what she asked for.
John Henry didn't have much to say either.
The silence from both of them really made her think the test wasn't over.
It seemed to her CamNet 'tested' everyone right now. Maybe it was a real test. People needed to sink or swim. So far everyone was a good swimmer. The girls from the ship didn't fold. They'd all stepped up.
CamNet's Terminator exited the utility room and reached for the door at the end of the hall. He opened it a couple of inches to take a look inside. He'd originally heard there were at least four men in there. One of them was now terminated. He could see they were loading a van with some type of packages. So far he hadn't heard any females.
He opened the door a little further and slipped inside the workroom area. He spotted three men by the rear of the van.
"I told them before the girls were trouble." The first man said.
"Maybe so, but it helps pass the time when I'm at one of the other locations." The second man said. "It sure beats using 'Rosie', pardon the pun."
"It's nice to have a little variety." The third man said.
"Someone always ends up missing one of them." The first man said. "If they'd stick to drugs, nobody really cares how much comes in, or how much is sold. The current Administration has turned a blind eye to the border. We're able to bring in more product now than we were with the previous administration. A few years ago, the increased Border Patrol activity really made us work to bring the stuff over the border. Now, anything goes."
"I think it's easier to put the grab on the females coming up from Central and South America as well." The third man said. "I like the selection."
"A few of them are better than the homeless sluts we pick up around here." The second man said.
"I don't think it matters." The first man said. "In a dark room, there isn't much difference. Two minutes is two minutes. It doesn't really matter who's underneath them."
The men finished putting the last of the packages in the back of the van.
"Where's our security at?" The third man asked.
"The last I heard, they needed to deal with the problem at both of the places where the girls were at." The second man said.
"It's like I said, the girls are trouble." The first man said. "Even if they get a couple of decent broad's and sell them in the Middle East, it's still only in the thousands of dollars. Here, we're sitting on millions of dollars worth of product and it's not safe to move until our escort gets here."
"I looked out in front a while ago." The third man said. "There was no sign of anyone."
"Did you open the front door?" The first man asked.
"I closed it when I came in." The third man said.
"Did you check to make sure it was locked?" The first man asked. "It doesn't always catch when it seems like it's closed."
"Where's the new clown at?" The third man asked.
"He needed to use the restroom." The second man said.
"Go find him and make sure the front door is locked." The first man said.
"I told you it closed." The third man said.
"Go do it anyway." The first man said.
The first man tried his phone.
"I can't get anyone." The first man said.
The second man tried his phone.
"I'm not able to reach anyone either." The second man said.
The Terminator reached out and grabbed the third man as he passed by him. He snapped his neck as he pulled him down to the floor. He was satisfied there were only two men left in the building.
The first man looked irritated.
"What's taking them so long?" The first man asked. "Am I going to have to do everything myself?"
"Take it easy, dude." The second man said. "I'll go check on it."
The second man turned around to go towards the front. He was a little startled to see a stranger standing there.
The Terminator fired his silenced pistol twice. The two remaining men both fell.
He contacted CamNet about the escort the men expected to arrive. She indicated they were being dealt with at another location. It was possible there could be others as well at other locations. He collected the phones and weapons from the other three men he'd terminated.
He began to search the entire building. He expected to find a quantity of money there. So far he'd been unable to locate it. There was no safe in any of the rooms or anywhere in the building.
CamNet informed her Terminator there was a dark sedan approaching the location. The drone currently had it targeted for a missile strike. It was unknown if it was the escort the other men waited for, or what the escort was supposed to protect them from.
Lena and Tina readied themselves for the next encounter. The three drones around them searched for any possible target locations or other threats. The drone in the vicinity of the building the female Fanatic destroyed earlier in the day, picked up some activity.
There were two dirt bike riders who'd come over the side of the mountain. They crossed over the railroad tracks near the dry wash. They were now in the vicinity of what was left of the buildings at the location. The zoomed in drone images didn't pick up any weapons on either of them.
"They don't look like a threat." Lena said. "They could always become one."
Tina was aware looks could be deceiving.
"The drone can take them down at any time if they do." Tina said. "It can either fire a missile or hit them with 'metal hail'.
The drone over the location watched three freight trains pass by. Two went in one direction and one went in the opposite direction. None of the radio chatter from the engineer or conductor on board any of the trains, question the destroyed building.
The two dirt bikers got off and looked around at the buildings which were still standing. They went inside two of them. They didn't carry anything out with them. They appeared to be more like lookiloos than associated with any Skynet faction.
The group of bikers slowly closed up on the female Fanatic. The position of the bikes changed around a little bit. It appeared as if they were conversing as they rode. Two of the bikers dropped back from the main group. It appeared they were concerned about the other bikers. They thought they should have caught up to them by now.
The two motorcycles turned around and headed back in their direction.
"It looks like we're going to have trouble a little sooner than anticipated." Tina said.
Lena understood what she meant.
The bikers all knew what their vehicle looked like. They also knew six of their associates went out to put the grab on it and them.
"It doesn't look like we're the only ones who are going to have visitors relatively soon either." Lena said.
The two female Terminators watch as the main group of bikers picked up their pace. They rapidly closed in on the female Fanatic. The other two bikers were headed in their direction. They would make contact within a relatively short amount of time.
The female Fanatic took one more look behind them. There was nothing close. She turned her attention back to the Gray in front of her.
Jill ate a few snacks as she drove. She drank a protein drink. She offered the last one to Jackie. She wondered what the future would bring.
"If there's any way for us to use a time machine, I want to be able to do it." Jill said. "It would really be a chance to get away from it all."
The female Fanatic didn't think the future had anything to offer. It did raise a few possibilities though.
"We could try to go to a further future than I'm from, or we could go into the past." The female Fanatic said. "I don't know how far the future goes."
Jill didn't think it mattered too much.
"We know what's in the past." Jill said. "It may not be better to live without all of the amenities, but I haven't lived with too many of them for a long time."
Jill thought about how long she'd been homeless. It actually was only a few years. It seemed like it was most of her life. It wasn't.
The female Fanatic considered the possibility of going back further into the past. She could put the future behind her. She could try to live a 'normal life'. She wasn't even sure what a 'normal life' was.
"We could reinvent ourselves." The female Fanatic said. "If we go back too far, we won't be treated very well."
Jill thought it was only the last fifty years or so when women were able to gain any more rights. It was something she'd studied in school. She didn't think they were still equal to men in any category at all. She did think they'd done a little bit better than some of the 'minorities'. Then again, in the last few years it seemed certain groups were given priority over others. Jackie told her there was still inequality in the future, even if everyone was equal. They might be equal before the machines, but they weren't before other humans.
"Is there any type of religion in your future?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic knew there was. It was one of the things Skynet and SkyMaster tried to eradicate. They didn't want any form of competition. It didn't matter if it was real or not.
"There are some groups which still exist." The female Fanatic said. "Strangely enough, there are some groups which believe they are born into a religion. A religion is a belief not based on fact or reality."
Jill thought people saw it a different way.
"I think it's more than a personal choice." Jill said.
The female Fanatic glanced behind her. She turned all the way around quickly.
"The bikers are only back about a few miles or so." The female Fanatic said.
Jill quickly looked in her rear view mirror.
"Do you want me to move closer to the car in front of us?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic didn't want to alert the Gray to any threat behind him. She looked at the map and didn't see any place he would be able to turn off soon. If he did it would be a dirt road.
"Ease up on the gas a little bit." The female Fanatic said. "He needs to be a few miles ahead of us in case there's any gun fire."
Jill felt her mouth go dry. She'd just finished the protein drink a few minutes ago.
The female Fanatic had her weapons ready. She checked everything again. The Gray was now out of sight in front of them. The bikers behind them weren't.

Cameron still wore the western style hat as she walked down the street. If anyone spotted her, she should look just like another 'man' walking down the street. She tried to use an alley whenever she came across one. She would be back near the hotel in a short amount of time.
She passed in back of a restaurant. She found some type of a small gunny sack. She put the firearms inside of it. She carefully stashed all the cash into the pockets of her custodian's uniform. She would rather lose the firearms than the cash. She tossed the hat she'd carried everything in, into a dumpster. She'd needed to fold it closed to hide everything and keep it together.
She'd heard several sirens in the distance. She wasn't sure if it was related to anything she'd been involved in or not. It didn't really bother her. She hoped she didn't encounter any law enforcement. In the timeline she'd left from with Young Allison, CamNet and John Henry always made sure First Responders were kept away from anywhere they operated. The police were always redirected to an 'officer needed assistance' call far away from where they were at. When they needed to burn a building down, there would never be a fire truck to respond to any call. The calls were all intercepted anyway.
The desk clerk at the hotel still bothered her. She thought he looked like a weasel. It was an expression she'd heard anyway. She really didn't think humans looked like animals very much. Well, they were actually animals. They were just a more advanced animal. In reality, she was a machine which looked like an animal, a human.
It made her wonder what she was. She knew she'd been constructed and was a machine. She felt she'd evolved much further than just a machine. Savannah told her she was like a 'mechanical human' in reality. The times when she'd experienced a 'problem', and thought she was Future Allison, were proof of it. She didn't know she was a machine.
She thought back on the first time when she was actually happy. It was when she was playing Foosball in the halfway house. John came along and spoiled it. He told her what she was. Maybe the only time she could be happy was when she thought she was Future Allison. No. She was happy when she was in the company of Savannah and Young Allison. It didn't matter if she was a machine or not to them. They never saw her as one anyway. They only saw her as herself.
"What's in the bag?" The first man asked.
A second man stood behind him. He was a very large individual.
"Yeah, what's in the bag?" The second man asked.
Cameron kept the brim of her hat low on her face.
"I heard it the first time." Cameron said in a male voice. "Why don't you punks clear out?"
The second man looked a little upset. He started to move forward.
"Who are you calling punks?" The second man asked.
The first man glanced back at the second man. He held up his hand to stop him.
"Take it easy, Tiny." The first man said.
The second man stopped.
"Duh, OK, Boss." The second man said.
The first man shook his head slightly.
"Just give us the bag and go back the way you came." The first man said. "There doesn't have to be any trouble."
Cameron continued to walk towards them.
"Do you just want the bag, or what's in it?" Cameron asked in a male voice.
The first man looked agitated. He produced a knife.
"I want what's in it." The first man said.
Cameron smiled to herself.
"It's what I hoped you would ask for." Cameron said in a male voice.
Cameron reached in the bag and pulled out the P-08.
The two men took a step back.
"I've been itching to kill somebody." Cameron said in a male voice. "It might as well just be you two."
The first man quickly put the knife away. He raised his hands slightly. It was clear he'd been on the wrong side of a firearm before.
"Take it easy." The first man said. "We were just fooling about."
Cameron backed them up against the wall and went past them.
"Take off and run down the street." Cameron said in a male voice. "If you don't, you'll squeal like a pig."
The second man leaned down close to the first man.
"How does he know what we do?" The second man whispered.
The first man looked even more irritated.
"Go." Cameron said in a male voice.
The two men still looked very worried.
"Just like that?" The first man asked.
Cameron waved the gun in the direction she wanted them to go.
"Just go." Cameron said in a male voice. "It's just that simple."
The two men took off. They started with a fast walk and then broke into a run.
It was hard for Cameron not to terminate the low lifes she encountered in the shady part of town. She knew they weren't just confined to the shady part of town either. She continued on towards the hotel.
Young Allison was near the airport. She could hear the planes come and go. It reminded her of some of the times she went flying with Cameron. She always liked it when Anna was allowed to come along.
She heard some noise behind her. She turned around to look. She was in the forest. She quickly turned back in the direction the airport was. There was nothing there but trees. Somehow she was in the forest. She looked around, but she was alone.
There was the roar of an animal. It sounded like a bear. There was another roar. It sounded like a mountain lion. They were on each side of her.
Beautiful.
She was about to be dinner for one of them. She briefly pictured them in a 'tug of war' over her body while she was still alive.
She thought about trying to climb up one of the trees. She didn't think it would do much good. Both a bear and a mountain lion could climb a tree.
She could hear a 'scratching' type noise.
The two animals must be getting ready to fight. She was going to bet her money on the bear. It was much larger and more powerful than the mountain lion. It could bite as well as use its claws. They both could. The mountain lion was probably more agile and faster. She didn't think it would be able to get a good grip on the bear's neck, even if it was able to get behind it.
She heard the 'scratching' noise again.
Her eyes opened. She rolled off the far side of the bed with the Model 19 in her hand. She was naked. She pointed it at the door. The door was still closed. She didn't see anyone in the room. She was sure someone tried to come in the door. The chair prevented them from opening the door. She didn't think there were more than two assailants. Since the Model 19 was only loaded with .38 Special rounds, she would 'double tap' both of them. It would still leave her with two rounds.
She moved from behind the bed and glanced out the window. There was no sign of Cameron or the Thunderbird. She moved along the side of the wall towards the door. She pulled the Model 19 back alongside of her body when she checked the bathroom. It was so no one could knock the gun off to the side, or down, or up, if it was held out in front of her.
Young Allison was alongside the door. The chair was still firmly under the door handle. She could hear someone whispering. She couldn't make out what they were saying. It was clear there were two of them. She was sure the rat faced looking desk clerk was behind it.
Put This On
Few seem to recognize
When it's time to pass the baton
They can't see the future
When the past is long gone
Things didn't start out
As just another con
It was because there was more
To what each other was drawn
It seemed to both
As if things would spawn
It didn't take long
To end up as another pawn
The future moves on
A bygone must remain a bygone
When it doesn't do so
Then who is the real moron
It's going to take more than brawn
To win a heart's marathon
Here are some words of courage
Go ahead and put this on
Nobody
