Chapter 1495
I'm So Aroused
John wanted to play it safe and get everyone back to the base. He felt the human Resistance fighters saw enough action for today. It was more than they should have. He was pleased they were all on the way back to the base, even if they were all a little upset. He knew they didn't like to get recalled when there was a chance to fight Skynet.
He was worried about the one drone they'd left on surveillance with the box truck. It was basically a sacrificial lamb at this point. It would also alert Skynet there was a force to be dealt with if it was discovered. He wanted to keep close track of it.
"Is there anything tracking our drone?" John asked.
It seemed unlikely to John Henry. Between CamNet and his server, they could block just about everything.
"I don't detect anything." John Henry said.
John still didn't like how all the roads around where the box truck was headed narrowed down to a few.
"It could be a version of Skynet at the end of the 'funnel'." John said. "It really reminds me of the place where Cameron and the girls all died. I mean, the Duplicate versions of them almost perished before."
John Henry tilted his head slightly.
"None of them actually perished." John Henry said. "Cameron 'fixed' everything related to the incident."
The whole thing still bothered John. He'd suffered greatly for over a year. The 'Day Of Loss' sat heavily on all of them, even if it was 'fixed'.
"We didn't know they weren't dead for fifteen months. It was a while later before Cameron 'rescued' them." John said. "It was a rough time for me. It was bad."
John Henry knew it was 'bad' for all of them except Savannah. She always said the girls weren't dead and they'd all come back. He remembered nobody believed her. They all thought it was because of the loss of her real parents and Mrs. Weaver. They didn't think she could process all the loss. It was her faith they didn't understand. Savannah believed in Cameron and her abilities. She always said Cameron was invincible and eternal.
"It was a bad day and time for almost everyone." John Henry said.
John caught the wording. He knew John Henry referred to Savannah. She was a rock among them. She was the only rock among them. He remembered when he was down, Holly was always there for him and when Holly wasn't, Savannah was.
He remembered some of the conversations with Savannah at the time.
"I understand my function and duties in the future." Savannah said.
John was never sure how to address the issue back then.
"It was Cameron's future." John said.
Savannah indicated otherwise.
"It's my future too." Savannah said "It's your future as well."
John thought of a similar discussion he carried out with Future Derek on the way back from the military school. He didn't believe the future was set in stone. If he did, it would mean there was no way to stop Skynet in the present.
"It's 'a' future." John said.
Savannah would come and sit next to him.
"The 'Natural Order' can't be changed." Savannah said.
John always felt nervous when she was next to him. Her clothes were very revealing. There wasn't much he didn't see. Maybe if he hadn't watched the movie so often, it would have been less awkward.
They would talk of the good times they shared with Cameron. It was the only time he could think of Cameron and not feel sad and want to cry. Savannah kept the good memories alive for him.
Before she would leave, she always made sure he saw more than he needed to.
"I don't need to wait for Cameron's wedding dress." Savannah would whisper in his ear.
John always swallowed hard and felt very, very nervous. He was sure his mother would kill him if things ever progressed. John Henry might too since he viewed Savannah as his 'sister'.
The same scenario played out over and over. He wasn't sure if anyone ever knew. Holly was never around when it did. There was a copy of Cameron's program in Holly he didn't know about. Nobody did. He asked Savannah about it later on and she said she didn't know for sure but she'd suspected it too. The main reason was, when she put a fancy outfit on, Holly always found somewhere else to be.
He didn't know the 'Cameron' on Holly's chip wanted him to have a more 'normal' life if he wanted it.
Neither John nor Savannah ever knew Holly continued Cameron's 'instruction' of Savannah as she slept while John was asleep. It was really the 'Cameron' in Holly who did it.
There was another thing he asked about years later.
"Did you really want more to happen back then?" John asked.
Savannah answered without hesitation.
"It's why I was there." Savannah said. "I would have ended up pregnant too at some point."
Savannah always reminded him he knew where her room was.
"…has stopped." John Henry said.
John blinked his eyes. He'd really zoned out thinking about the 'Day Of Loss' and the aftermath.
John Henry could see John was somewhat disorientated.
"I believe the box truck has stopped." John Henry said again.
John looked at the drone images.
"Where is it?" John asked.
There was a zoom in of the drone image.
"It went inside of the opening there." John Henry said.
John looked at the drone images and the satellite map.
"No way…." John said. "NO WAY!"
It was an old mine complex.
They watched the trailing car arrive a few minutes later.
John Henry understood John's apprehension. He thought it was a simple matter of mathematics. He was aware the basis for every mine was someone who thought they were going to get rich quick. Few of them did.
"There are thirty thousand abandoned mines in California alone." John Henry said. "There are thousands more in Nevada and Arizona as well. Every state has hundreds to thousands of them."
John knew only bad things happened with mines and the Resistance.
"We're NOT going there!" John said.
John was about to slam his fist down on the table. A soft hand touched it as he raised it.
"We know how to fight it." Summer said. "We're smarter now."
John instantly calmed down. He knew Summer made him calm down somehow. He'd forgotten she was in the room.
A million thoughts flooded his mind right now as he looked at Summer.
"It's not my function." Summer whispered.
She winked at him and sat back down at her station.
Whatever explosive path he'd been on, he wasn't on it any longer.
John really needed to clear his thoughts and refocus.
"We need to get our teams back." John said.
John Henry was aware they were on the way
"It's been several hours." John Henry said. "It should be soon.
'Several hours….' John thought.
John really wondered where he'd 'been'. He was sure he could ask Summer. He looked over at her and she winked again.
John started to go over all the data one more time.
He swallowed hard but didn't look back at Summer again.
Allison wasn't happy about going back. She was happy she'd been out.
"Is there anywhere else we can go on the way home?" Allison asked.
Vanna felt confident because they were out in force.
"We could catch a movie." Vanna said.
Allison didn't want to seem presumptuous.
"I don't know if Derek and Kyle would like to go." Allison said.
Holly pointed out the obvious.
"We could ask them." Holly said. "If we did, then we would know."
Vanna wanted to ask them in a more personal way.
"It's a good idea." Vanna said. "Pull over, we can ask them in person. They'll be more likely to agree."
Allison acted without looking. She cut across a lane of traffic to get to the curb. A car needed to hit the brakes hard and screeched its tires to avoid a collision. The driver blew his horn and yelled something.
"Learn how to drive, jerk-off." Allison shouted at them as they passed by.
Holly thought it was a reckless move on Allison's part. She tried to drive whenever Allison and her went out.
"You could have signaled first." Holly said.
Holly thought looking might have helped as well.
Allison was indigent. It was the way she drove. When she needed to go from point A to point B, she went. She didn't like crybabies.
"The rear bumper coming at them is a pretty good signal." Allison said. "They got the message. Can't any of these people skill drive? They wouldn't last a day in the Wastelands if someone needed to do everything for them."
The occupants in the other vehicle seemed even more upset about Allison's verbal abuse directed at them.
Allison pulled over and then turned into an empty parking lot. She figured it would be easier to 'talk' with the other SUV once they stopped away from the traffic. They were all armed and there were two Terminators in the SUV with her. There were more Terminators behind her as well.
Kyle and Derek didn't like getting sidelined but the real possibility of an ambush was something to think about.
Kyle saw Allison's SUV cut over one lane of traffic abruptly. Another car almost hit them.
"What happened up there?" Kyle asked.
Derek, Bob and Jim all went on alert.
"I don't know." Derek said.
Bob could see the individuals in the other car appeared very animated.
"Those people in the other car looked upset." Bob said.
Kyle couldn't make out the same detail. He didn't possess telescopic vision.
"We can't see them like you can." Kyle said.
Derek checked his weapons.
Kyle didn't want Derek to get ahead of themselves.
"Take it easy, bro." Kyle said. "You know Allison drives a little rough."
They watched her turn into a parking lot. Kyle signaled and moved over as well and turned into the lot after them.
Jim noticed there was trouble.
"The car Allison cut off is coming back." Jim said.
Bob and Jim checked their weapons now too as they sent out a warning to the girls. It was clear there was going to be a confrontation of some sort. Hopefully it would remain verbal.
Gail and Hanna acted as a shadow on the other two teams.
"Allison cut over to get to the side of the road." Gail said.
Hanna and Gail looked for a threat.
"I'm not sure why." Hanna said.
Gail noticed the second vehicle did the same thing.
"Kyle's team has followed her to the side of the road." Gail said.
Gail increased her speed to close the gap between them.
They heard Jim issue a warning about another car coming back.
Hanna observed the earlier incident.
"I see it." Hanna said. "It was the car in Allison's way when she moved over."
Gail recognized aggressive behavior when she spotted it.
"They must want to fight." Gail said.
Hanna held her silenced M9 in her hand.
"I'm ready." Hanna said.
Gail and Jesse 'hunted' future Scavengers. She knew the type. She knew there was only one cure for Scavengers, future or otherwise.
"If they look like future Scavengers, I'm going to put them down." Gail said.
Hanna didn't want Gail to get ahead of herself.
"Let's play it cool at first." Hanna said. "We need to worry about witnesses."
The fact didn't seem like a 'problem' to Gail. There were ways to tie up loose ends.
"We have plenty of spare magazines." Gail said.
Hanna still thought caution was prudent. They lacked some of the earlier assistance.
"We don't have drone support." Hanna said. "We don't have an eye in the sky."
Jan hurried off to get Samantha a clean shirt. She wanted to watch her change it so she could see her things better.
She looked for a loose top. She grabbed it and ran back.
Samantha and Jesse talked with each other as Precious nursed.
Jan returned.
"Is this one OK?" Jan asked.
Samantha smiled. She unbuttoned her top to change it.
"Remember, I'm a machine and not a real female, even if I look like Claire." Samantha said. "My sheath is synthetic."
Her statement took Jan by surprise. It seemed Savannah just pointed out it was OK to view her since nothing was 'real'.
"I know." Jan said. "But you're not like the toaster or microwave either."
Samantha took her top off and handed it to Jan.
Jan's eyes widened as she took in the view. She hoped she could look the same one day.
"Look at you." Jan said. "You're beautiful."
Jesse seemed to confirm what Jan thought and to take it a step further. She could do more than just look.
"I think what she meant was since she isn't a real female, it's OK for you to look." Jesse said.
Jan started to reach out but stopped.
"I'm a cyborg." Samantha said. "Nudity doesn't bother me."
Jesse made a point of switching Precious to the other side. Her top was open as usual. Everything was in sight.
Jan handed Samantha the new shirt. She looked at Jesse and back at Samantha.
"I really wish Summer was here." Jan said.
Jesse got up and moved into the main part of the room away from the nursery.
"It's just you, love." Jesse said as the door closed behind her.
Samantha smiled.
Jan hesitated.
Riley was very pleased Sarah and Claire allowed her to join them. The three of them shared softly and wildly at times. It was something they all enjoyed.
The three of them rested.
Riley was in the middle. It was really a lot for her to take in. There'd been some dramatic changes in the last day. It was clear the genie was out of the bottle. The question still remained as to what was the path forward?
"I can't believe this really happened." Riley said. "To be with either of you was my dream. To be with both of you was a dream come true."
Sarah knew exactly what she referred to. There'd been a lot of frustration over the years.
"I have to say I feel the same way." Sarah said. "I've been able to release and act on a lot of pent up desires the last couple of days."
Riley knew her situation was an even shorter time span.
"It was all today for me." Riley said. "I really don't know how this could have been any better."
The door opened and Samantha entered.
"I do." Samantha said.
The girls watched as Samantha stripped.
"Today is a new day for everyone." Samantha said.
Riley was a little jealous but figured she owed everything to Samantha. She looked at Sarah.
"Are you ready for a female Terminator?" Riley asked.
Sarah didn't want to point out it already happened earlier. Under the current conditions, it didn't really matter.
"Right now I'd try anything I'm so aroused." Sarah said.
Samantha joined them in the bed. She wanted to make sure everything was acceptable to Riley.
"Do you mind?" Samantha whispered in Riley's ear.
Riley wanted to make things playful.
"Not if you can please three of us at once." Riley whispered back.
It was now a four way.
Samantha paused for a few seconds. She received an update about the timeline.
"The others will be back in an hour and fifteen minutes." Samantha said. "They'll bring some food back with them for dinner."
Everything resumed again.
They all felt a different hunger right now.
The Metal girls made sure there was plenty of sunscreen on Mary, Laura and Leticia. It seemed the Metal girls made sure each one was covered everywhere. The sun's rays could be harmful. They didn't want to take any chances.
The human girls all finished their drinks before they set out. The three of them each drank at least two. It seemed they were a little tipsy. Sheila made sure all the drinks were the best.
They reached the 'Horseshoe Pit'.
Mary picked one up and tossed it. It landed short and off to the side by a few feet. Laura didn't do much better. Leticia made it all the way, but it 'clanged' off the side and hit the backboard.
Cammy went next and hit the metal stake. Ally tried one and did the same.
Mary was a little dismayed to see the 'special girls' make it on the first try with no problem.
"Oh, come on." Mary said.
Sheila looked at Leticia.
"You're up, love." Sheila said. "I need your hands."
Leticia looked around. She thought 'Sue' wanted her to do something specific. She wanted to make sure.
"Do you mean right here?" Leticia asked.
Sheila quickly caught Leticia's drift. She laughed.
"You can do that any time." Sheila said. "I want you to cover my eyes with your hands. You can cop a feel if I don't score. You can cop two if I do."
Leticia moved in back of 'Sue' and covered her eyes.
Mary wasn't sure if there was some type of trick involved or not. She wanted to make it a little harder.
"Wait a second." Mary said. "I want her to close her eyes while I spin her around first."
Mary spun Sheila around four times so she was pointed at a ninety degree angle away from the horseshoe pit.
Sheila knew exactly where she was pointed. She made her calculations accordingly. She wanted to up the ante for the reward.
"If I make it, you need to get me off in the pool." Sheila said.
Mary would agree to anything at this point. 'Sue' was pointed the wrong way. She decided to throw in an additional incentive on her part.
"It's a deal." Mary said. "I'll even do Tony."
Leticia still covered Sheila's eyes with her hands.
"Sue's the best." Leticia said.
Sheila still faced away from the horseshoe pit. She brought her right arm back and then forward and then back. She tossed the horseshoe into her left hand and threw it sideways over her head. It landed with a loud 'clang'.
Mary watched in disbelief. She didn't see any way it was humanly possible. Wait, they didn't think the 'special girls' were human.
"That's impossible." Mary said.
Laura was impressed with the maneuver. She knew it was impossible as well.
"Wow!" Laura said.
Leticia moved her hands away. She copped a feel as she lowered them down since it's what 'Sue' said she could do. Then she did it a second time.
"Sue's the best." Leticia said.
Sheila looked at Mary. She wanted to remind her about the additional offer she'd made. John would be happy for sure.
"Tony thanks you in advance." Sheila said.
Mary looked a little flabbergasted.
"A deal's a deal." Mary said. "Tony will be my first male in four years."
Leticia still wanted in on the same deal.
"I'm available too." Leticia said. "Mary can be the snack. 'Barbara' can be the meal, unless 'Stephany' is there, and I'll be the dessert."
Laura already swayed a little bit from her drinks.
"I'll be the appetizer." Laura said.
The three girls all laughed.
The Metal girls all looked at each other. They hoped their coms picked everything up. It looked like John was going to have a busy night soon.
Sheila began to make plans if Cameron was out all night.
The Metal girls played it up even more.
Sheila asked Cammy and Ally to make sure everyone stayed clear of the metal horseshoe stake. She went inside the closest cabana where no one could see her and threw the horseshoe from several hundred feet away.
Leticia looked around. She didn't see Sue anywhere.
"Where did Sue go?" Leticia asked.
Ally wanted them to concentrate their focus.
"Watch the metal stake." Ally said.
Mary, Laura and Leticia all looked at it and wondered why. All of a sudden there was a blur and a horseshoe came from nowhere and hit the metal stake.
The girls looked around and saw Sheila on her way back.
Mary looked in total disbelief.
"That's impossible." Mary said.
Cammy picked up the horseshoe.
"Apparently not…." Cammy said.
She decided not to point out if it was impossible, how did it just happen?
The girls moved off to the volleyball courts.
Joe led the girls towards the jet fighters and away from the B-36 for now. The B-36 was very imposing in its size.
Cameron looked at the first jet facing them. It was an F-4 Phantom II.
"Here's a real workhorse." Cameron said.
Young Allison was well versed in the combat record of the F-4 around the world.
"The Phantom has been time tested." Young Allison said.
"It's still in use in a half dozen nations around the world." Camille said.
There was something there which made her think of Terminator development. Terminators went through a progression of various models. Skynet always had some other version in the works. Some of them went into full production, others didn't. Aircraft were no different.
"The Navy wanted an interceptor for enemy bombers and it was the original design." Cameron said. "By the time production ended over twenty years later, the Phantom was a master of all trades."
Camille thought the best upgrade was the internal cannon. The gun pods left something to be desired.
"The Air Force brought it into its true calling once they fitted the 'E' model with an internal cannon." Camille said.
Cameron wanted to make her point she'd brought up earlier.
"This is a prime example of redesigning the same aircraft a number of times." Cameron said. "Let's show them girls."
Cameron, Camille and Anna all took out their phones. They all selected images to prove their point. It was a visual journey which was unmistakable.
"First McDonnell, the builder, worked with the Navy. They started out with the FH Phantom in 1945. It was a twin jet. It was improved into the F2H Banshee in 1947. It was also a twin jet. The Air Force looked at the XF-88 Voodoo in 1948. It was a twin jet as well. The Navy tried the F3H Demon in 1951. It was a single jet. It took a few years to get into production."
The girls looked at the images the Metal girls provided.
"You can already see the shape of the F-4 developing." Young Jesse said.
"The Air Force still liked an old design." Cameron said. "F-101 Voodoo was next in 1954. They kept the same name on the updated redesign. It was a vastly improved remake of the XF-88 Voodoo and supersonic. The F4H Phantom II followed in 1958. The Air Force took a look at the Navy plane and tried their version, the F-110A Spectre. They made some changes for a land based aircraft over the Navy version. In 1962 the F4H and F-110A would both be renamed to the F-4 Phantom II, and the rest is history."
Young Allison thought it went one step further.
"In the mid Sixties, McDonnell Douglas, the new merged company, looked at a twin rear stabilizer or 'tail' design of the F-4 with a number of improvements." Young Allison said.
Cameron knew the success of the development.
"That's right." Cameron said. "The F-15 Eagle first flew in 1972 and is still going strong in a number of variants."
Joe and Ted looked at the images the three Metal girls provided with the story. They were both astounded.
"I want to point out the F-4 here is painted for the Air Force's aerial demonstration team, the 'Thunderbirds'." Joe said.
Cameron knew the Thunderbirds weren't the only military demonstration team to use the same jet.
"There was a time in the Sixties when the Navy's 'Blue Angels', and the Air Force's 'Thunderbirds', both flew the F-4 Phantom II for their routines" Cameron said.
Young Allison viewed the different military aerial demonstration teams perform at air shows before.
"It's what you call turning money into sound." Young Allison said.
Young Allison hoped to see both of the military teams perform when she went back in time.
CamNet's Terminator needed to decide if he wanted to take the thug out now, or wait for him to acquire another vehicle and leave. He decided to bring the thug down now. It looked like the thug was going to run with whatever he'd taken.
He watched him approach several parked vehicles. He looked around and attempted to get into them. He couldn't open the doors on them. He looked around and moved to another group of vehicles. The best part was, the thug kept moving closer.
CamNet reported she had a location on the number which attempted to call him numerous times.
The Terminator stepped out from the stairwell.
The thug went to two more vehicles. He looked around when he went to try them. He spotted the Terminator looking at him by the stairwell. He wasn't sure, but it sure looked like the guy who he saw in the massage parlor after the car crashed through the front of the building.
He decided to return back to his vehicle. He would drive away to another mall. He made it back to the vehicle within thirty seconds. He looked back and didn't see the big man. Maybe he was overreacting. He felt a sense of relief. He went to put the key in the door to open it. He was a little surprised when he saw a set of feet appear next to him.
The Terminator reached out and grabbed him by the neck.
"Trojan sends his regards." The Terminator said. "You will join him."
The thug looked terrified.
"Trojan's dead." The thug said.
The Terminator snapped his neck.
"So are you." The Terminator said.
He took the keys out of the door. He carried the thug by one hand to the rear of the car. He opened the trunk and tossed him in. He quickly searched him. There were several bags of white powder in his pockets. He spotted a metal grate in the cement near the back of the car. He lifted the cover and dropped the contents of both of the bags into the drain. He replaced the cover.
He went back and opened the driver's door. He found the thug's phone stuffed under the seat. It was already deactivated. He took it with him.
CamNet provided him with a location of the phone which attempted to contact the terminated thug multiple times. He reactivated the phone. He knew what the thug sounded like. It was why he didn't terminate him immediately.
The Gray knew he was close. He sure hoped they had a 'comfort bunk' at the next location. He really wanted to knock one off. He slowed slightly as he neared what appeared to be an old building of some sort. There was no roof on it. It was heavily vandalized. Approximately a quarter of a mile past the dilapidated building, he spotted an unpaved road. There was a chain across the road which indicated it was closed off.
He looked around to make sure he didn't spot anybody. He didn't.
The Gray turned onto the paved road and drove around the chain. He soon spotted a building in the distance after he went around several small hills. The building wasn't visible from the main highway.
He could spot a lot of excavation work on the hills in back of the building. It was an old cement factory. It had closed sometime in the past because it couldn't meet some new environmental standards passed by the state. He couldn't help but laugh to himself about the environmental standards. He knew the people in the past, the present, didn't have a clue of what an environmental disaster awaited them. Well, the ones who survived anyway.
He approached a chain link fence. There was a gate over the road. There was a giant 'No Trespassing' sign on the gate. He'd been to the location several times before. He knew there should be a guard at the gate. He was a little concerned when he didn't see one. He wondered if they'd cleared out from the location. It was a strong possibility. With everything that happened over the last few days, it wouldn't surprise him at all.
The Gray took out his phone again and checked it. It was the same situation. He couldn't receive or transmit any calls. It had been the same thing since he'd left the building which exploded.
His ears 'rang' from the massive explosion. At least he could still hear.
He spotted a small dust cloud from where the large building was at. There were several outlying buildings around it. There was a four wheel drive truck headed his way. It drove right up to the gate and paused. He got out of the vehicle so they could see who he was. He recognized one of the men. He didn't remember what his name was.
He gave them a brief description of what happened. one of the men got out and unlocked the gate. He drove in. The man locked the gate behind him.
"We'll follow you." The man said as he passed by his vehicle.
The Gray figured they wanted to keep an eye on him. He couldn't really blame him with everything that happened over the last few days. He headed towards the large building.
Lena and Tina were back on the highway. The Gray and the female Fanatic were both in front of them. The drones scouting ahead of them spotted a large industrial complex up against the hills. It appeared to be abandoned as a working facility. There were signs of recent activity around it. Men were spotted from time to time as well. All of them were armed.
"I think we know the destination." Lena said.
Tina agreed.
"We figured it would be close." Tina said.
They checked the activity behind them with the other drones.
The truck driver of the tanker looked around at the carnage of the biker gang. He'd checked a few of them and found they were all dead. The rest of them were still smoldering from the shower of flaming gasoline. He moved down the road a short distance and sat down.
"I don't know how the story is going to be spun." Lena said.
Tina thought they could take some preemptive action.
"We could have CamNet leak a story about how the bikers tried to hijack the truck." Tina said. "Gasoline is very expensive now. The failed policies of the current administration have nearly doubled the price of fuel."
CamNet approved of the proposition. She would make sure there was some 'chatter' about it later on once it was discovered. It would officially be spun as a horrific accident. Everyone else in authority would know it was a hijacking gone bad. It would be a further stain on the biker's reputation. She might even let the other chapters of the 'Sons Of Chaos' know the 'Satan's Angels' biker gang was involved. It would help the problem clean itself up a little with the terminations which were sure to follow.
Later on the drone image showed the Gray slow down and go down the road and around a chain. They saw a vehicle coming out of one of the outlying buildings and headed towards the gate as he did. There was obviously some type of surveillance set up for them to know. They would need to keep it in mind when they approached the area.
"At least we know what the destination is." Lena said.
Tina checked the drone images of the surrounding area.
"It's in a good location if we need to call in a drone strike." Tina said. "No one will see what happened."
Lena noticed something else.
"The high tension power lines cross very near where the buildings are located." Lena said.
The drone images of the three closest towers to the location showed there was a connection which ran down the middle tower. It went into the ground. They could see from the air where a cable was buried just under the surface to hide it.
"They have access to a lot of power." Tina said.
Lena didn't think it looked like a location where Skynet would be located. The mine they'd been at earlier would have been a better place.
They could see the female Fanatic's vehicle slow when the Gray slowed. They continued past the road without slowing too much.
Lena and Tina could see what the female Fanatic's next move would be.
The female Fanatic and Jill continued their relaxed pursuit of the Gray.
"I think he's slowing." Jill said.
They slow down as well. They could see him make the turn. They couldn't see anything in the direction he turned other than some hills.
They picked up the pace a little as they saw dirt rise up off of the road to the side.
The female Fanatic checked over the map.
"Nothing is indicated on the map." The female Fanatic said.
They passed the dilapidated building.
Jill was a little worried.
"I hope it's not another mine." Jill said. "I hoped to never to go into another one again unless I had to."
The female Fanatic didn't know what awaited them.
They drove past the location and saw the blocked road.
"I'm pretty sure the road goes to something." The female Fanatic said. "We may have to wait until dark before we go in."
Jill still wanted vengeance.
"I hope the other truck drivers are there." Jill said. "I want to see them dead."
The female Fanatic wanted to see all of them dead.
"So do I." The female Fanatic said.
They were approximately a half of a mile past the turn off.
Jill spotted something near them.
"Look at those big power lines." Jill said. "I've seen them a few times. It looks like they turn and go in the same direction."
The female Fanatic knew there was usually some type of access road which followed the power lines for maintenance.

Cameron sat in the seat which looked backward to the direction of travel. Young Allison sat across from her and looked out the window. They pulled away from the station.
Young Allison noticed Cameron reach in her purse and took out a small booklet.
"What do you have?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron handed the booklet to Young Allison.
"It's a timetable." Cameron said. "It shows what other stops we will make and when."
Young Allison looked over the names on it.
"I recognize a few of them." Young Allison said.
She looked out the window. There were only a few buildings. In a few more minutes there weren't any. The landscape looked very bleak.
"Is the terrain going to look like this the entire way?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron didn't think much changed since the railroad was constructed over a century ago. She was aware it wasn't much different in her future either. Even if they prevented Skynet from destroying the world, she doubted the landscape would look too much different for the next few hundred years.
"Yes." Cameron said. "It is as rustic as it is arid."
Young Allison would have preferred a more scenic route.
"It looks like the land time forgot." Young Allison said.
Cameron had been to more than a few of those places.
"Some things change, some things don't." Cameron said.
The steward knocked on their door and told them lunch was being served. He slid a menu under the door.
Young Allison picked it up and looked at it. It included the dinner and breakfast menu as well.
Cameron wanted to give her the opportunity to go.
"Do you want to get anything?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison thought she would be good until dinner time. She still felt a little run down. She hadn't been able to get in her daily run either. It was something she did almost every day.
"Dinner will be fine." Young Allison said.
Young Allison was a little worried about what would happen at dinner time. She wasn't sure what the proximity would be to other patrons or how much the dining car staff would pay attention to what happened at their table. It would look strange if only one of them got a meal. She thought there was a workable solution.
"It says here at the bottom, there's an extra fifty cents charge per person, to serve a meal to our room." Young Allison said.
Cameron wanted to give Young Allison the chance to experience the dining car. It wouldn't be like the dining on the ship was in the main dining room, but it would still be fancy with a complete set of silverware, and gourmet prepared meals.
"I can just tell anyone I'm a little under the weather." Cameron said. "I could tell them I feel a little 'carsick'. I doubt anyone would complain. No one would want to clean up the mess if I lost my meal."
Young Allison thought it would be better if they just stayed inside of their room. They had everything they needed in there anyway.
"We'll see." Young Allison said.
Young Allison looked out the window from time to time.
Cameron took out the P-08 and the 1911. She disassembled both of them in front of Young Allison. She put them back together and handed them to Young Allison with the loaded magazine in them.
Young Allison was familiar with the 1911 Government Model. She removed the magazine and cleared the weapon to make sure it was empty. It was. She took it down and looked at the parts and put it back together. She handed it back to Cameron.
"It looks a little worse for the wear." Young Allison said.
Cameron felt the previous owner was negligent in their care of the firearm.
"Some people don't appreciate machinery." Cameron said.
Young Allison smiled at Cameron.
"I do." Young said.
Young Allison proceeded to look at the Parabellum. She removed the magazine and cleared the weapon. She did everything as Cameron did. She pushed back slightly on the barrel assembly in order to flip down the takedown lever. She lifted the side plate off. She gently pulled the barrel assembly forward and slid off of the frame. She removed the toggle pin and then the bolt assembly. She soon had a multitude of parts in front of her.
"It comes apart easily enough." Young Allison said. "Putting it back together might be a little more complicated. Let me try it on my own first."
Young Allison looked at the parts and put everything back together in the reverse order she'd taken it apart. She held the firearm inverted as she slid the barrel assembly back onto the frame. She made sure the toggle link caught. She replaced the side plate and flipped the takedown lever back up.
"It's not as complicated as I thought it would be." Young Allison said. "I would hate to have to do this in the dark or in muddy conditions."
Before she put the magazine back in, she held the Luger in her hand and pointed it towards the window.
"I like the way it feels in my hand." Young Allison said. "It seems very ergonomic compared to some of the pistols I've handled. Some of those felt like I was holding a brick. I think there's probably a fair amount of muzzle flip due to the design. It's too bad it wasn't more reliable."
Cameron pointed out an important fact.
"It was used in two World Wars." Cameron said.
Young Allison pointed out an even more important fact.
"It was." Young Allison said. "They lost both of them. I know it's more complicated. There were other numerous factors in both situations."
Cameron thought about Skynet. Sometimes the aggressor thought they held the winning hand. It may even have looked like it for a number of years. In the end, events always played out differently than what the aggressor thought would happen. She knew everyone needed to know their limitations. She was aware most people didn't.
Young Allison took the Parabellum again decided to work the toggle and run the rounds through the gun to see exactly what happened. On the forth round, the gun didn't go into battery. She needed to slap down on the top of the toggle to complete the cycle. She ejected three more rounds. The last round popped up and jammed against the chamber of the barrel at a forty five degree angle.
Cameron held seven successfully ejected rounds in her hand.
Young Allison removed the jammed round. She completed the cycle of the toggle and it locked open. She removed the magazine.
"Now comes the fun part." Cameron said.
Young Allison wasn't sure what she referred to.
"Do you mean to load the magazine?" Young Allison asked.
Young Allison was able to put the first round in like she would in a normal magazine. The second one was more difficult. She looked at the magazine a little further and saw a small button on the side of it. She pushed down on it with her thumb. It only moved down part way. It made her thumb hurt.
"It looks like some type of tool would help to pull the button down." Young Allison said. "I can probably place it up against a piece of metal to hold the button in place and push up on the magazine itself way with my hand."
She did and was able to load the magazine. She wasn't sure why so much spring tension was needed. She didn't think there were too many other firearms which had a magazine spring with so much force.
Cameron took the loaded magazine and pushed the eight rounds out of it with her thumb into her left hand. She proceeded to pull down the small button and load the magazine herself very rapidly.
"Show off." Young Allison said.
Young Allison went back to looking at the bleak landscape as the train went along. She thought about taking a nap. It seemed like a bad idea. She figured it would be even worse to be awake at night and not be able to see anything at all. It wasn't like there was a television in the room or anything.
I'm So Aroused
There are many different things
Which can leave one delighted
Most of those seem to stem
From what makes them excited
One needs to be wary
Of things that may spawn
As reason and inhibitions are ignored
When they are turned on
Time has proven over and over
The more one is attracted
The more mistakes they make
When they are distracted
Events build upon themselves
The longer they are stimulated
Their vision becomes cloudy
The more they become infatuated
It's better to look around
And remember where they are housed
Before events get out of control
When they say, I'm so aroused
Nobody
