Chapter 1512

I'm Moving In

Bob and Jim began to lower Cam down the old air shaft.

Cam started down into the darkness. There was a lot of dirt for the first ten feet. It was from the mud which oozed in when the shaft opening was covered by the small mudslide. The cable stopped and she listened. There was no sound.

The cable started to move again. Bits of debris fell from the sides of the shaft as she went down. It was impossible not to touch the sides of the shaft as she was lowered. There was nothing to see as she looked down. The cable stopped again and she listened. The process was repeated several more times. She'd passed a smaller opening about fifty feet down. It was only a foot in diameter. She wondered how it was made and where it went. They continued the lowering process and she soon touched solid rock. The shaft didn't go anywhere. It didn't make any sense.

Gail kept watch around them. She'd moved out fifty feet and circled the location where Bob and Jim were at. She doubled the distance twice in counter rotating circles. There was nothing around them she could detect.

Jim and Bob felt the cable go slack.

"Something must have happened." Bob said.

It was a straight shot down through the shaft.

"I'm stuck." Cam said.

Jim was relieved to hear her voice.

"Do you want us to bring you up?" Jim asked.

Jim and Bob were ready to pull her out.

"No. Hold the cable tight." Cam said.

Cam used her night vision to see what was in her way. There were several chunks of rock which split off of the side of the shaft. They rested on top of something. There was dried dirt from the mudslide on top of it all. There were smaller pieces of debris on top of everything.

She reached down and pulled one rock loose. More dirt and debris fell through. It created a hole she could see down in. There was some kind of large fan blade the rocks and debris rested on top of.

She held the rock she'd pried loose. She needed to move it out of the way. She knew just the spot.

"Pull me up seventeen and a half feet and stop." Cam said.

They did. She deposited the rock into the small opening she'd passed earlier. It was a process she repeated four more times until the dirt and smaller rocks fell through the big fan blades.

She gripped the fan blade to bend it out of the way. One side snapped off. She snapped off the other side. She could see much better now. There was a passageway below her. There was a pile of rock debris and dried mud. It formed a mound below her.

"Lower me down seven more feet." Cam said.

She still held the rusted metal fan blades as she went down and touched the mound. She quietly set them down and began to look around. There was nothing but the passageway on both sides of her. It was quiet with total darkness. They were in.

"You can come down." Cam said.

She moved away from the shaft as small rocks and dirt drifted down. Gail was soon with her, followed by Jim.

Bob secured the cable to the shaft housing and placed the rusted cover back on top of the shaft as he started down. He made his way to the bottom and joined the others.

"It was a tight fit." Bob said.

Gail almost said. 'If it ain't tight, it ain't right'. It was something Jesse liked to say. She was well aware Jesse, out of all the girls, was the tightest. Claire was right behind her. Then it was Young Jesse, Vanna, Allison and Savannah. The children Young Jesse and Savannah had in the different futures made a difference. It was something which was never discussed. They didn't want the girls to feel self conscious or stop reproducing.

It really made her wonder what Claire was like before her three children. She took some satisfaction because she was the smallest of all of both the human girls, as well as the Metal girls. She knew John liked it the best when Cameron used her chassis to give her virginity to John. She could detect a few of John's 'little soldiers' still moving inside her. Her foot slipped on the loose dirt. She needed to refocus.

Cam already looked around them in both directions and found two other passageways which were connected.

"I think there are going to be a few more of those." Cam said. "The walls are in bad shape and crumbling. The wood supports are mostly rotted and have little strength. Some sections are solid rock."

Bob thought about pulling the cable down. He wasn't so sure he wanted to do it now. They may need to go back up the way they'd arrived. It would be a much more complicated climb to go up the shaft using just their body as a support against the sides.

"We better leave the cable here in case we need to come back out this way." Bob said. "We might run into a dead end."

Cam placed a transmission repeater for their com signal at the top of the shaft before she started down and another one at the bottom. They were still connected to the outside. They'd found out before if they didn't use repeaters, the signal was soon lost the deeper or further they traveled underground. If for some reason they needed a temporal rescue. CamNet would know where to send the energy bubble.

"Let's move out." Cam said.

The Terminators began their trek through the darkness.

Earlier:

Holly headed toward the Command Center. She'd passed by John's room. Allison was in there with him. She listened for a few seconds. It was clear Allison was having a good time. She didn't want to think about it. She moved on and entered the Command Center.

John Henry and Summer both looked at her when she entered.

Holly wanted to make herself useful. She wanted to make sure the human girls didn't need to get involved with any risky operations.

"Is there anything or anywhere which needs any assistance?" Holly asked.

Summer could tell Holly was uneasy. She also could feel there was something 'different' about her.

John Henry scanned her and detected the rings.

Holly noticed both of them look at her. She could tell they both knew. It excited her some to know they now knew. So far nothing had actually been said.

Summer needed to leave Jan behind before when CamNet requested her assistance. She wanted to make sure Jan was taken care of and assisted properly.

"Jan could use a little help for a few minutes." Summer said. "She's in the rec room."

John Henry knew the girls were on the way back from Van Nuys and almost back to the base. They would arrive soon.

"Samantha, Hanna, Camille and Young Jesse will arrive in about eight minutes." John Henry said.

Holly smiled at them. She was aware the 'activity' would most likely pick up once they arrived.

"I will assist Jan for a while." Holly said and left.

Summer watched the security footage. Holly went to the rec room. Not long afterwards, Allison left John's room and her mother literally snuck into John's room as Allison walked away.

She turned her attention back to the operation on the hillside. There were more important things to worry about. She knew she'd be in the same room soon enough herself. She thought it might be before Young Allison even. Savannah would beat her.

John Henry and Summer listened to the team's troubles so far. The team was in. As to where they could actually go, it was up in the air.

"I think I should send more assistance." John Henry said.

Summer knew it would take a long time to get others there. The other team should be well on their way through the shaft system by then. She could initiate a backup plan.

"CamNet has a team on temporal standby." Summer said. "They can be on their way in a moment's notice."

John Henry wondered what the true nature of the backup team was for. He figured Summer was two steps ahead of him. He felt events needed to play out a little more so they had a better understanding of what they faced.

"Let's see what happens for now." John Henry said.

Jesse worked intently on Allison. She made it twice. They soon ended up in a passionate kissing session fueled by what was in each other's kiss.

Right now the girls weren't sharing sex. They shared love. There was something in both of them which wanted to feel love. It was from their time with John. They both wanted more and knew they couldn't have it. Neither one of them wanted to take anything from Cameron. They sought the same love in each other instead.

"Are you going to see John again?" Allison asked when they caught their breath.

Jesse hoped so. She'd found love and true beauty in an act she once hated as she was held down or tied up. A gun to the side of her head, or a knife to her throat, was almost as bad.

"I'd like to." Jesse said. "It's very special to me."

It was one more step further away from her past for Jesse. The past was ugly and vile.

Allison thought her mother was with Vanna. She didn't know she was with John. She probably would have felt a lot more self conscious if she did. She didn't want to be compared to her mother because she felt she would fall short of her. She believed John was alone and Jesse could probably visit him next.

"I think you can go there soon." Allison said. "John should be ready again in a little bit."

Jesse knew Claire was with John now. She didn't mention it. It always seemed to bother Allison a little, even if she said it didn't. She wanted to give Claire some more time. She figured she might as well share it with Allison since they were already together.

"I want to spend some time with you first." Jesse said.

The two girls moved their faces close together and looked into each other's eyes.

They started to kiss again as they touched each other. They were kisses of love.

After an intense kissing session, Jesse rotated around and the girls went to work on each other again. It was one thing they both knew they could do better than John. Not that he was bad or anything. They just possessed more experience. Then again, they'd practiced for a lot longer with each other…. They all knew what each other liked specifically and when. They both delivered.

Vanna and Young Jesse wildly went after each other on the bed. They were in such a hurry they didn't even open it up. The wild kissing and touching turned into the girls sharing. Vanna was on top where she preferred to be.

Both girls made it twice.

Young Jesse wanted to open the bed and lay on the sheets. They did and were side by side now. They shared some small talk and a few kisses.

Vanna mentioned she'd been with John again. She said Allison was too and most likely Claire and Jesse would be as well.

Young Jesse wanted the same pleasure one more time.

"I'd like to try it again." Young Jesse said.

Vanna didn't see Cameron return with them earlier.

"Since Cameron isn't back, I don't think it will be a problem." Vanna said.

Young Jesse was aware how far things were about to go with Cameron and Savannah.

"I'm pretty sure Cameron and Savannah are going to share." Young Jesse said.

It sparked Vanna's interest. Once the 'ice' was broken. Cameron would be up for grabs by all of the girls. Cameron would want to be with all of them after she started.

"I hope so." Vanna said. "I want to be Cameron's second."

Young Jesse was interested too.

"We all want to share with her." Young Jesse said.

It didn't matter to Vanna and Young Jesse because Cam and Camille were identical clones of Cameron. They still weren't 'Cameron', even if they were.

"Cameron will have more action than she knows what to do with." Vanna said. "It's a good thing she doesn't need to sleep."

Young Jesse was worried about what Cameron asked her.

"Cameron wants me to move in with John." Young Jesse said.

Vanna was a little jealous. She wanted to do it now herself.

"It's a choice spot to be in." Vanna said.

Vanna knew Cameron would be close by. John would be good, but Cameron would be better.

Young Jesse was worried about Young Allison and Savannah and the 'Natural Order'.

"It's not my place to take." Young Jesse said.

Vanna gently ran her hand down the length of Young Jesse's nude form. She knew she wasn't where she was supposed to be either. The point was, it didn't matter. It was what it was, when it was.

"Is this my place right now?" Vanna asked. "We take the cards as they're dealt in life."

Young Jesse knew both spots belonged to Savannah. She moved over the top of Vanna.

"Right now, this is the right place for both of us." Young Jesse said.

Young Jesse held Vanna in her arms in her room

Allison held Jesse in her arms in Jesse's room.

John held Claire in his arms in his room.

As long as Cameron was away, the sharing would go on. There was plenty to go around and everyone was more than willing to share. There was truth in beauty, even if there was no beauty in truth.

Hanna, Camille and Samantha ended up in Sheila's room.

Camille was pleased to see the enhanced look of Samantha with a set of rings.

Samantha reminded them she was short on time so they got down to business.

Samantha worked on Camille while Hanna worked on Samantha.

Holly worked with Jan for a while on her studies.

Jan said she wanted to rest.

Holly left. She went in search of some action. She passed by John's room. Claire was in there. John thought Claire was Samantha at first because of her rings. It meant Allison was out. Wait. Maybe she was still in there with Claire. It would be Hot if she was. No, she didn't think so. Allison wasn't ready yet, even if Claire was.

Sarah and Kyle were hard at it. Sarah sounded like a wild woman.

She passed by Riley's room and she was busy with Derek.

Young Jesse and Vanna were in Young' Jesse's room. They were really sharing intimately. It was love being shared inside there.

Allison was in Jesse's room and it sounded like they were making love. It looked like Allison was out for now. She didn't want to interrupt the love.

She moved on down to where the real action was at.

Holly listened outside the door to Sheila's room. She could tell Samantha's rings were a hit. She looked around and stripped. She entered the room naked. She hoped to 'one up' them.

Three heads all lifted and looked in her direction.

"Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it does." Hanna said.

Camille wondered if Samantha would leave now.

"Are you still going to go?" Camille asked Samantha.

Samantha looked at Holly's large breasts with the rings.

"I can stay a little longer." Samantha said.

The Metal girls all picked up the pace. Everyone wanted some from everyone else…. There was plenty to go around.

Kyle watched Sarah on top of him. He really liked what she'd done. He could tell they were still tender when he touched them. Sarah didn't say a word as he fondled her.

Sarah liked the little twinges of pain mixed with the pleasure sensations. They were exhilarating and stimulating in their own way.

She rode Kyle hard. She felt him finish and she did too. She rode him out for one more finish and leaned down and kissed him. Kyle paused as the kiss started and then he intensified it.

Sarah knew right away what happened. He detected another female in her kiss. She went to back away, but he held her closer and deepened the kiss. It was his 'approval' for what she'd done with another female. She hoped he didn't ask who. It was already quite a few in the last two days. It was Claire, Young Jesse, Jesse, Riley and now Vanna. It was who Kyle detected, even if he didn't know who it was. She'd been with Samantha too. She still couldn't believe she'd been with a Terminator. It was her best sexual experience ever too.

Kyle rolled Sarah over on to her back and he took the lead now. He wanted to remind Sarah what the rules of the game were. As long as one rule was followed, everything else was good to go.

"As long as I'm the only one who has one of these for you, you can do whatever you want." Kyle whispered. "I want you to be happy and be who you are."

One seconds later Sarah felt what Kyle referred to as she let out a gasp. He really went to town and she went to Heaven and stayed there. She was very happy with her life for a change. There was so much love to go around. Love was better than hate.

It saddened her some to think about how much of her life had been controlled by hate over the years. None of it was of her own doing either. It was all thrust upon her by others. Skynet was the one behind it. Skynet also produced a few good things it never intended. It gave her Kyle, both of them. It allowed John to be created and born. It introduced her to Cameron and all of the other Resistance Terminators. It allowed her to know all the other humans associated with the Resistance as well. While there was plenty of bad to go around, there was also some good which came out of it.

Earlier:

Derek stripped Riley on the way to the bedroom. He really needed to be with her.

Riley liked the attention. She really felt motivated right now.

She wanted to tell Derek she'd expanded her love life but wasn't sure how to say it.

He was all over her right now.

Derek was sure something happened earlier. He thought it was with Vanna and Holly. He didn't know it was with Claire, Sarah and Samantha.

"Derek…." Riley started.

Derek lifted his head. He knew what she wanted to say. He wanted to get out in front of things, literally, in more than one way.

"I don't care who you do this with, as long as I'm the only one who does this." Derek said.

Derek moved up and Riley gasped a little. Derek seemed larger than normal.

"That one is just for you, always." Riley gasped. "You know what I mean."

Derek smiled.

"I want you to be happy and be who you are." Derek said.

Riley was near tears.

"I feel happy again." Riley whispered. "I'm happy to be alive. I want to be alive."

Derek was very pleased to hear it. He'd been afraid Riley was about to take her own life at times. She'd been so depressed and upset with her body's failures. He was aware males were only good for so much, for so long. There were others who could help Riley continue to grow, and exist.

"I want you to do what it takes to stay that way." Derek whispered. "Share the love of the girls too as much as you want…."

Derek understood the ways of the future. The girls all needed each other.

Riley made it when he said it. She made it over and over. This really was the best day of her life.

"Thank you." Riley whispered. "You're the greatest…."

Earlier:

John thought he'd need some refractory time when Claire snuck into his room right after Allison left. Her comment about the 'mother-daughter' thing was all he needed to hear. He was good to go.

John carried Claire to the bedroom.

Claire wanted to know how she compared with Allison. She wanted John to compare them. She didn't know Allison specifically asked John not to compare them.

"I want to do whatever you just did with Allison." Claire said. "Do the same things the same way."

The idea excited John. He would better be able to compare them if he did.

"Are you sure?" John asked.

Claire wanted to prove she was 'better' than Allison.

"Yes." Claire said.

John set her down.

She stripped off his top and pulled his pants down.

He removed her top at the same time she pulled her pants and underwear off. It was clear she was hot to trot.

They were both naked in front of each other.

John paused. He looked at the rings. He didn't think it was actually Claire.

"Samantha?" John asked.

Claire saw John started to lose his 'readiness'. It was the rings which threw him.

"No, silly, I'm the real deal." Claire said. "I just got my new jewelry a short time ago with Sar… Holly."

She decided to leave his mother out of it. The information might be a mood changer for him. She was just happy to be there even, as Allison walked away from his room.

John was surprised to hear it. It sounded like Holly had done it as well.

"Really?" John asked.

She lifted his hands up. She made a little face as he moved them.

"Really." Claire said. "They're still a little tender. It really was only a few minutes ago. It made me very excited to have it done. I want to share my excitement with you."

They weren't a little tender. They were really a lot tender. She didn't care. The mixed sensations thrilled her. Pleasure laced with pain and more pleasure was very exciting.

John looked her over carefully. Maybe this was Claire. He really didn't care. He would find out soon enough. Cameron did promise Samantha one time on her own. If it was, it was.

Claire noted John was at full attention again.

John moved forward and kissed her.

She took his hungry kiss and turned it into a loving kiss. She realized 'Allison' was in his kiss and 'Jesse' was in hers. It excited her even more and the kiss grew wilder. She really wanted him to compare them.

"Do the same things you just did with her…." Claire whispered in John's ear. "I'm already ready."

John moved her to the bed and over the top of her. He made his move.

He felt her gasp a little and her nails dug into his back slightly.

It was what he wanted. It was just like Allison.

Right away he could tell Claire was better. He thought it said something after three children. Then again he'd been with Allison several times before the last time in the same setting. He started in. Claire was definitely much more snug. It gave him more feeling. Claire's kisses were more passionate.

He stayed with it and Claire was close to a finish. He could tell by her breathing. It brought him closer. She sucked in her breath and held it. He knew she was there. He reached up and moved one of the rings.

Claire was at the start of a finish. The jolt of pain which shot through her heightened the finish and made it even better. She knew she was alive!

She let out a yelp as she made it. He stayed with it and she made it again. He was almost there. She reached up this time and moved both of her rings and pulled on them. There was another yelp. Her eyes opened, but rolled back in her head slightly. She gasped for air as she made it again. He finished too.

There was no doubt about it. Claire was better in bed than Allison. Everything was better about it too.

Claire was very pleased, excited and satisfied about what just happened. She new she wanted more. No she didn't want more. She needed more.

"I'm - moving - in…." Claire gasped out between breaths. "I - love - you - John…."

Just this minute, John loved her too.

Savannah received clearance from CamNet for where she was headed. It surprised her a little, but not much. CamNet informed her everything was taken care of. She climbed above the Sierra Nevada Mountains. She was headed to Lake Tahoe.

The small jet streaked across the sky.

Right now she was headed for the future.

CamNet's Terminator exited his vehicle and headed towards the new target location. He moved down the street he was on. It was one street over from where the vehicle stopped. He was going to go through the property on the street he was on, to the property in back of it. It was across the street from where the limousine ended up at.

He decided he wanted to know a little more about the location rather than make a frontal approach. He continued on down the street he was on to the end of it. He cut across on the next cross street. He crossed over the street and moved along the block to the next street which was on the backside of the other building.

The drone continued to drop in elevation. It was to conduct some low level scans to determine what was happening inside of the building. They didn't need to worry about a hostile Terminator detecting it.

He quickly moved up the street. A truck and a car passed by him in different directions. They didn't slow or stop. He made his way to the property in back of the building. He quickly passed through it to the rear fence and took a look over. There was no security he could detect on the backside of the building. It didn't mean there wasn't any.

The limousine had been moved to the rear of the building. There was no one in it, or by it. The gate was closed to block the driveway off alongside the building to the rear.

The drone picked up some activity on the roof of the building. Two men were now up on top of it watching the front. They didn't look towards the rear at all. They'd gone up through a roof access inside of the building. He went over the rear wall. He quickly moved up past some other parked vehicles. There was no one in any of them.

There were two vans parked in the back, They were up against one side of the building. He moved up between them and checked. There was no one in them. He was about to move around to the back of them when he heard a door from the rear of the building open.

"We've got to get this stuff loaded." The first man said. "It looks like the Cartel made a move."

"We got a lot of product to move." The second man said.

"Take it up with the boss." The first man said. "He's crapping in his pants over it."

The Terminator moved around to the front of the van closest to the side wall. He could feel the van move somewhat when he heard the noise of the rear doors opening.

The drone indicated the two men were still on the roof watching the front and the two men in the back were moving boxes, or packets, into the van he currently was in front of.

CamNet assured him the vans were locked up for a missile strike if necessary. He was to attempt to gain entry into the building to determine what else was inside.

He spotted a roof access ladder near the rear corner of the building. He would have to pass along the side of the van up to the building to reach it.

The drone image showed both men walk away from the van back towards the building. He quickly moved up to the rear of the van and looked around the rear door. He could see them go into the building. He made a quick dash over to the ladder and started up it. He was halfway up when one of the men came back outside. He paused. His silenced M9 was pointed at the man's head. He never looked in his direction. He put something else in the back of the van and hurried back inside.

The Terminator continued his climb up onto the roof. The two men up there looked towards the front. Both of them carried long guns.

He advanced to the air conditioning unit and peered around the side of it. He had both men under observation. He wanted to hear their voices and any other information they might divulge.

"What do you think is going down?" The third man asked.

"It's probably a bunch of hoopla about nothing." The fourth man said.

"I think if we're going to war, it's more than nothing." The third man said.

The fourth man laughed.

"Things like this happen all the time." The fourth man said. "They hit us, we hit them, maybe somebody else gets hit too."

"Some of the guys bought it." The third man said. "Some of our guys. It could have been us."

"Well it wasn't." The fourth man said. "Not yet anyway. This will probably all blow over in an hour or two. We can head downstairs and give the girls a visit. The new batch is almost broken in. There's always one who needs a little more work than the rest of them."

The Terminator heard enough. He moved around the air conditioning unit and shot both of the men with his silenced M9. He made his way to the roof access hatch and entered.

The first man thought the unknown electrical device seemed like a worse idea than activating the HK Tracks. He headed back outside. He had an uneasy feeling about everything. He went back and checked all of the positions one more time. None of the six men he'd visited so far had spotted anything different than normal. Nothing was ever different than normal. It was always the same old nothingness happening outside of the fence.

He moved back to his position with the new guy and one of his men.

"What do you have?" The first man asked.

The second man looked back at the first man.

"Nothing's changed since you were here." The second man said.

The Gray looked in the direction of the big building.

"I don't think the threat will come from the outside." The Gray said.

The first man didn't know what would happen. He directed his attention to the Gray.

"There are a couple of technicians working on some type of electric gizmo." The first man said. "Do you know anything about one of those?"

The Gray only heard stories.

"We've heard rumors about a further future group than the Fanatics." The Gray said. "I'm sure most of it is just hoopla."

The first man frowned.

"Everything is hoopla, until it isn't." The first man said. "Stay here and look sharp. I'm going to find those two truck drivers and see what they know. It appears they're the only survivors from the warehouse at the end of the dirt road."

The first man took one more look out into the darkness. There was no light whatsoever to see. They were back in among the hills. The one group faced the hillside quarry. He might reposition them. He didn't think anything was coming over the backside of the hill and through the quarry. The route on the main road was his biggest worry.

He passed over a couple of concrete culverts. He briefly looked down the direction it went. He paused and looked back up at the direction it came from. He took out his phone and shined the light in the direction it went. He could see it passed under the fence. It didn't look like a problem.

The first man moved on. He wanted to find the two truck drivers.

The female Fanatic and Jill started up the shallow tributary. They reached the fence and paused. There were a couple of pieces of reinforcing iron driven into the ground at the bottom of the trench.

"I think I can squeeze through." The female Fanatic said.

Jill found it very difficult to see.

"If you can fit. I can fit." Jill said.

The female Fanatic looked around her as she moved. She moved right up to the fence and pulled on one of the pieces of rebar. It didn't move. She moved to the next one and did the same thing. The second piece wasn't secured to the fence at the top like the first one was. She was able to push it over to the side. It created a gap big enough for her to squeeze through. She motioned for Jill to follow her. As soon as Jill passed through, she bent the piece back up to the fence. It looked the same way it did before she'd touched it.

They continued to move through the shallow tributary. They needed to advance on their hands and knees at this point. They could hear some men talking. They looked over to the side. They could see there were two concrete culverts just ahead of them. It looked like a road passed over the top of them.

The female Fanatic and Jill heard a discussion about the two truck drivers. One of the men was going to look for them. The only problem was, he was headed right for where they were at. They quickly scrambled into the two culverts. There was barely enough room to fit.

They could hear the footsteps of the man grow closer. They tensed up when they heard them stop. All of a sudden, the area they'd just been in thirty seconds ago was lit up with a light. If they hadn't moved when they did, they would have been spotted. The mission would have been over. They would be dead.

Jill wanted to follow the man. He was going to find the same thing she wanted to find.

"We need to see where he goes." Jill said. "You heard what he said. I want to find this truck drivers too."

The female Fanatic wasn't sure if she wanted to follow the man, or head for the big building.

Lena and Tina proceeded forward. They were close enough now to take them down with their silenced pistols. They listen to them talk amongst themselves for a while. It didn't appear either one of them was the Gray who'd escaped from the previous location. He was in the next group over. He was closest to where the female Fanatic and her associate were at now.

They watched the two females make their way under the fence and pause as a third man rejoined the Gray and his new associate. They continued to move up. They moved up to where the tributary entered the dry wash. They spotted the one man on the move. They were close enough to hear him refer to the two truck drivers. They were sure the female Fanatic and her associate heard the same thing. They were much closer to them.

"I think the truck drivers are who the other female wants to find and terminate." Lena said.

Tina could understand why she would.

"I believe it's why she's helping the female Fanatic." Tina said. "She wants revenge. If I was in her situation, I would want revenge as well."

They watched the drone image of the man pause on the small bridge. The two females I had just gone into the culverts underneath it seconds before he turned his light on. They could see the light shine down the shallow tributary and light up the far bank of the dry wash on the other side. He moved on after a few seconds.

They heard what the female Fanatic's accomplice said. She was after the truck drivers. They didn't believe she was helping the female Fanatic to assist SkyMaster.

"We can see where they go and if they get spotted by anyone." Lena said.

Lena and Tina move up the tributary to the fence. They needed to wait for the other females to make their move before they proceeded.

Young Allison thought there was a lot of stuff she couldn't remember right now.

The drone noise dissipated. In fact it was gone.

Now she was back on the grassy knoll. She didn't look through the scope at the President's head. Instead, she watched as a spectator. As soon as the President was hit in the throat, he raised his hands up to it. His wife moved over almost directly in front of him. Her head was right in front of his. She realized when she took the shot, she probably only missed it by inches. It was clear if someone delivered the fatal blow from the rear, the bullet would have passed into his wife's head after it passed through the President's head. It really made her wonder how anyone could believe the single shooter story, and perpetrate it with a straight face.

She heard a noise. Her eyes shot open. The Hi-Power was in her hand in an instant. She'd flipped the safety down with her thumb. All she needed to do was pull the trigger. She heard it again. She realized it was an air horn on a locomotive. They weren't very far from the railroad tracks. It really made her wonder how some people could live almost in back of the tracks and never hear the trains go by, yet someone five miles away could clearly hear the air horn when it blew.

She figured it was something someone must get used to. She wasn't really sure how. Maybe they were heavy drinkers.

Young Allison could hear the train pass by. She heard the air horn a couple of more times in the distance as it passed on by and headed towards Taylor Yard. It was in Glendale just north of downtown Los Angeles. It was the main Southern Pacific yard for the Los Angeles area. It would be replaced in just under a decade with the giant yard in the Colton-Bloomington area.

She got up and quickly checked the house again. All is as it was. She went to the rear window of her room and looked back towards the garage. She didn't want to think of it as a barn, even if it's what it may have been at one point in time. She wondered when Cameron would be back. She actually wondered what Cameron was up to.

Young Allison climbed back in bed. She engaged the safety on the Browning and slid it under the pillow. Her eyes soon closed again.

Cameron took the paper sack full of the items she'd purchased and headed back to the Falcon. She started it and drove away.

She wanted to recon the local streets around where they were at. Browns Canyon Wash hadn't been turned into a giant cement channel yet. Several of the streets passed down into it because there was no bridge. The main streets all had wooden bridges over the wash. The concrete bridges were still about six years away. The wash would be concrete lined a year later.

She read all of the local newspaper accounts of the people who always tried to cross it after a heavy rain. It was impossible to do and not have the car swept into the torrent. Every year at least one motorist thought they could make it across. They were wrong. They didn't heed the warning, 'turn around or drown'.

She was on the next major street to the south from the one the Munch Box was located on. It dipped into the wash. She drove up to it, and down into it, and came up on the other side. There was only a trickle of water in it.

She could hear an air horn in the distance as a train approached downhill from the three tunnels. She decided to pause at the crossing. There were no gates at the crossing. There were only flashing lights. The gates wouldn't arrive until several more people perished trying to beat the train. They never seem to understand, even if it was a tie, the car always lost.

Later on at the location where she was at, a giant bridge would be built over the roadway and the railroad tracks. It was to bring the commuter bus into the parking lot of the station area on the east side of the tracks for Metrolink and Amtrak. The commuter bus used to the old right away of the Burbank Branch to connect with the subway near North Hollywood and Universal Studios.

She heard the locomotive blow its horn as it crossed over Devonshire Street and passed by the Munch Box. It blew the horn again as it approached the street she was on. It was Lassen Street. She watched the crossing lights come on. There were no other cars out. She was sure if there were, someone would try to make it across. It was one of the reasons why they needed to install gates in all of the city crossings later on. She would need to specifically remind Young Allison not to chance it, even if she was tempted.

The locomotives crossed over the intersection. She spotted one of them was a new locomotive. It was on the point. It was a GP30. It had a very distinct look from the units which preceded it, and came after it. It was followed by two GP9 units. One of them was still in Black Widow colors. The last locomotive was a U25B. The train was a mixture of box cars and flat cars with lumber. There was a bay window caboose at the end of it.

She thought about the GP30 locomotive. EMD received its first real competition from General Electric with the U25B. The U25B produced 2,500 horsepower. The GP30 produced 2,250 horsepower. The engine in it was capable of producing 2,400 horsepower at the time. The six axle SD24 was able to make use of all of the horsepower available. The GP30 with only four axles was unable to. EMD needed to work on their traction motor design to handle the extra power available. They were able to do so next year. The GP35 emerged as a direct competitor to the U25B with the same horsepower.

There was only one problem. General Electric was already hard at work on to the U28B. It had 2,800 horsepower. There was a bigger horsepower race in the works from both of the two main manufacturers. The older steam locomotive manufacturers had tried to build their own diesels and keep up. They couldn't do it. They dropped by the wayside, one by one.

General Electric continued to improve their design. EMD struggled to keep up. The General Electric units may have had superior traction motors, what they didn't have were superior power plants. The EMD 567 series engine proved to be much more reliable. It had been in use since the late Thirties. The horsepower had slowly been bumped up from 1,350 horsepower in the FT units to where it was at now with the GP30 at 2,250 horsepower. It was because of the use of the turbocharger which EMD began using a few years previously.

The General Electric locomotives started out with turbochargers to be serious contenders. They forced EMD to adopt them to stay competitive. The battle lasted another forty years until General Electric seemed to gain the upper hand. General Motors sold off the Electro Motive Division and soon went bankrupt. It received a bailout from the federal government and was known unofficially as Government Motors henceforth.

Cameron continued westbound on Lassen Street.

I'm Moving In

To find the root of one's troubles
No one needs look farther than within
Before the plane even takes off
It's already in a tailspin

There have all been times
When one wonder about a twin
When some things go wrong
On another the events they'd like to pin

It gets a little tricky to skate
When the ice becomes very thin
There isn't much room
For a safety margin

There are times it's over
Before it can even begin
One can still lose
Even if they think they win

When things do work out
It will produce a grim
To hear the other say
I'm moving in

Nobody
