Chapter 1519
There's The Proof
Cam's team entered the currently active section of Level Three in the mine. There was a crude lighting system in place.
Gail was on the left side. She moved back to where the others were.
"I hear someone coming." Gail said.
Cam was still up ahead on the right side.
The team looked around for a place to conceal themselves. There wasn't one.
It seemed they might need to terminate someone sooner than they'd anticipated.
Cam heard what Gail said. Up ahead of her were several openings. They were like the ones they'd encountered earlier on Level Two.
"Over here." Cam said.
She moved into the first opening. It was big enough for all four of them. They quickly joined her and moved into the darkness.
They could hear the footsteps as they grew near.
There was another vibration and thud sound followed closely by an explosion.
There was only some dust which fell from the top of the passageway and the cavern the Resistance team was in. It was nothing like they'd experienced on Level One and Level Two.
It sounded like two men approaching. They could clearly make out their voices as they conversed.
"I'm getting tired of all the blasting." The first voice said.
"Tell me about it." The second voice said. "It never seems to stop anymore."
"How much longer are they going to keep doing it?" The first voice asked.
"Someone said it was the last day. If they wouldn't have run into water last week, they'd be done already." The second voice said. "I really don't know. Sometimes I wonder if anybody does."
The two men were about to pass where the Resistance team was concealed.
"Look at the bright side. It's given us a few extra days with the skank Gomez brought back." The first voice said.
Both Grays laughed.
"It helps take my mind off of what's happening here." The second voice said. "At least they aren't as used up as some of them are."
"It's the end of the road for them." The first voice said.
Both Grays laughed again.
Cam started to leave the group. Her eyes glowed red in the semi darkness.
Gail stopped her.
"Not yet." Gail whispered. "We need to focus."
The two men continued their discussion. They were unaware they could be terminated in a matter of seconds.
"They're used up anyway." The second man said.
"I think they should have fed them a little better." The first voice said.
"I think things have been taken care of." The second voice said. "It's not like they need to do anything."
Both men laughed again.
"I feel like it's time for another visit." The first voice said.
Both men laughed again. It was harder this time.
The footsteps grew fainter.
Gail's and Cam's eyes both glowed red.
"I want to find the detainee." Cam said.
Bob didn't want to lose sight of the objective. They were there to find out what Skynet was up to, not conduct a rescue mission. Everything had a time and place.
"We need to see what they're up to first in the mine." Bob said. "We need to know how to deal with what's already here."
They waited three minutes and carefully started out after the men.
Cam placed another repeater.
She hoped to run into those two Grays again before they left the mine. She knew what both of them sounded like. Voice recognition wouldn't be hard to do.
Summer was able to hear what the men said as they passed. She knew they were talking about a captive. She was ready to call for the temporal mission with CamNet. There was a new dimension to everything now. It was something she would need to consider going forward. She wanted all of the people inside the mine dead. She knew the team needed to get out first and hopefully bring the detainee with them.
John Henry looked over at Summer as they heard the latest conversation. He didn't see any change in the expression on her face. He scanned her visually. He noted her temperature was up more than one degree. He could tell she was angry, even if she didn't show it. He knew humans could control their emotions to a certain extent. There were still some physiological changes which occurred involuntarily.
Summer looked at John Henry.
"Don't worry about it." Summer said.
John Henry quickly looked away. It was like she could 'read' him.
Summer needed to find out what it exactly was they faced. It would dictate her actions going forward.
"I can do a lot." Summer said. "We need to see what Skynet is up to."
John Henry refocused. He wondered about the water reference made by the Grays. Cam also noted water, or some other liquid, at the bottom of the shaft she almost fell down into earlier.
"It seems they have either blasted deeper or enlarged something and created the problem." John Henry said.
Summer wondered about the integrity of the mine. It seemed to her the damage the team found on Level One and Level Two indicated it was more recent. She was reminded about the water problem with the anti-Metal bunker they'd taken down recently. There were always underground water sources of different types. She'd done some investigation into the chemicals which were being procured by the mine. She could only draw one conclusion based upon what they were.
"I think they were using RDX and manufacturing PETN." Summer said. "I believe they're mixing nitroglycerin as a shortcut, and using it now to speed the blasting process."
John Henry quickly looked over the data. The outcome seemed to be perilous at best
"Nitroglycerin is one of the most explosive compounds there is." John Henry said. "It's also one of the most unstable. It's why they're tearing the mine apart."
Summer thought it was more involved. There needed to be constant attention and precision involved with using nitro. The Skynet group could only view the reinforced part of the mine.
"Because the old part of the mine is blocked off, they don't know what else is happening above them." Summer said. "The chance of failure with nitro is so great, there are most likely Terminators mixing and handling the nitro for the blasting."
John Henry knew where there was a Skynet mainframe; there were usually Terminators as well.
"I think you're right on all counts." John Henry said.
Summer was worried about the team.
"Issue a warning as to the nature of the explosives and who's handling them." Summer said. "It will be their biggest threat."
Summer was aware the enemy Terminators would be able to detect a threat much sooner than the humans working with them would be able to do.
Cam and the team received the update. The recent damage they'd found on the upper levels made sense.
"Now we know why this place is falling apart." Jim said.
Bob wondered about the amounts of the nitro being used. It could be used in small quantities or in large quantities.
"They can simulate the explosive blast of a Terminator's power cell with enough nitro." Bob said.
They all heard the reports about the chemicals.
Cam felt there was an opportunity to come up with a powerful explosive to assist them.
"They're mixing the nitroglycerin here below us." Cam said. "I want to assist them with a big batch."
Jim was worried about the big power cell, or cells, they thought were being constructed.
"How stable are the smaller versions of a big power cell?" Jim asked. "We don't have any reference because we don't know what they've actually done."
There were a few things Cam wanted to do inside the mine.
"We're going to find out." Cam said.
The team stopped and listened. There were footsteps headed towards them. They moved back into another cavern, it was in solid rock. They'd checked it out earlier.
They listened as the footsteps grew near.
It sounded like an older model Terminator's footsteps at first. They were spaced and metallic. The footsteps were quick, maybe there were actually two of them.
They saw something metal pass by the small gap they could see out of from their place of concealment. It wasn't what any of them expected to see. It was small and low to the ground.
"Was it a Metal dog?" Gail whispered.
Cam replayed her files.
"I don't know what it was." Cam whispered.
Claire and Holly hooked up, as did Camille and Hanna.
Holly wanted to show Allison her new rings. When Claire finished for the third time they rested.
"I'm going to look for Allison." Holly said.
Claire would like to be with Vanna if it was the case.
They left Camille and Hanna in each other's arms and slipped out.
Claire put on her robe from John's room. Holly only carried her clothes. They headed for Vanna's room. They could hear the girls talking as they approached.
Holly didn't think Allison would feel comfortable with Claire in there with them.
"Maybe you can pretend you're Samantha." Holly said.
Claire liked the idea. She slipped the robe off and quickly folded it.
"Let's see what happens." Claire said.
They softly knocked and entered naked.
Vanna and Allison finished up a love making session and now they talked with each other. They were very content to just gaze into each other's eyes. They would touch each other's hair or cheek and even kiss from time to time. It was all very loving.
There was a soft knock at the door and Holly and 'Samantha' entered.
Allison's eyes widened as she spotted Holly with her new jewelry.
She hopped up out of bed and ran over to Holly to look at them. She thought she looked even better than 'Samantha' did. Maybe it was because Holly was so much larger, as well as her Metal lover.
"This is so Hot." Allison said as she fondled Holly.
Holly smiled and encouraged Allison's hands.
"Let's not neglect Samantha." Vanna said.
Vanna was on her way over.
Allison switched over to 'Samantha' and fondled her as well.
Claire kept a straight face. She was going to go for it with Allison if the cards all fell into place.
Allison led Holly over to the bed. Vanna followed with 'Samantha'.
Jesse and Young Jesse left John behind to 'recharge'. They both wanted to stay, but knew they couldn't. They didn't want to be disrespectful to Cameron and the generosity she'd shown them.
"Where do you want to go now?" Young Jesse asked.
Jesse smiled. There was one direction which always seemed to work for her.
"Down, it's where it's at." Jesse said.
Young Jesse giggled. She wanted to make one thing clear.
"I have to agree, but I did like my time with John." Young Jesse said.
Jesse smiled. She agreed with her. It was a very pleasurable experience.
"I did too." Jesse said.
Young Jesse looked around as they walked. She was aware Jesse possessed much more experience than her with everything, especially males. She didn't want Jesse to get into the negative aspect of it, but only what was done voluntarily.
"How did he compare to some of the other males?" Young Jesse asked. "You know what I mean."
Jesse stopped and looked at Young Jesse. She did know what Young Jesse meant. She didn't even need to think about it. She'd already done it. The answer popped out of her mouth instantly.
"I can honestly tell you John was the best." Jesse said. "He knows how to love. You're ruined for all other men if you ever try one. They won't compare. They'll take what they want. They don't really care if you make it or not. They seldom will even try to make sure you get there. They want one thing. It doesn't take them long to achieve it."
Young Jesse wondered about Derek. She knew of their long association. She wasn't sure if it was ground she should tread on.
"Does it include Derek?" Young Jesse asked. "You don't need to get into details or even talk about it if you don't want to. I'm just curious."
Jesse looked at Riley's room. She harbored no ill will towards Derek. It was a good run while it lasted. She always felt he wanted a little more than she was willing to give. She didn't want to commit herself to one individual. Well, she didn't want to commit herself to one male. She liked her sexual freedom. She actually thought it dealt more with her than it did with him. She didn't like who she was in her future. She felt she was a very tainted individual. It was one of the reasons why she didn't want her baby to come from her body. She wanted her baby to come from the 'good version' of her, Young Jesse.
"Derek's a good, bloke." Jesse said. "He's a good guy. He tries."
Young Jesse wondered if Jesse still held some feelings towards him. She thought about asking but didn't want to open a can of worms or stir any feelings which were no longer in the forefront. The past was the past and life moved forward not backwards. There were other fish to fry. They neared Vanna's room. The door wasn't closed tight. The invitation was understood.
"Let's see what Vanna and Allison are up to." Young Jesse said.
When Young Allison pulled up in front of the house, she could see Mel already parked the other SUV. Brian and Randy were inside the Young residence and Mel checked over the outside and the Detail house. Everything was in order.
Anna and Young Allison entered the house.
"Everything is good." Brian said.
Randy walked upstairs from the bunker.
"Everything checks out. I turned all the equipment on." Randy said.
Anna thanked them.
Randy and Brian went to leave.
"Stop, for a few seconds." Young Allison said.
She'd just placed the bags of fast food on the kitchen table.
Brian and Randy stopped.
Young Allison went over to them. She gave them both a close hug.
"I want to thank you for everything…." Young Allison said.
CamNet already told them to delete and erase their files of what Young Allison did with the street punks. They were to do it when they went back to the Detail house. The drone footage was to be scrubbed as well.
"We understand." Brian said.
Randy was pleased to serve alongside Young Allison.
"We have your back." Randy said.
Mel came up from the bunker through the connecting tunnel to the Detail house.
Young Allison moved over to him. She told him the same things, along with a hug.
Brian and Randy went out the front and Mel went back through the bunker and tunnel.
Anna looked at Young Allison.
Young Allison felt she'd overstepped quite a bit. She didn't want to get into it again.
"We're not going to talk about it." Young Allison said. "It's done."
Anna wanted to tell her what CamNet ordered all of them to do and what she'd do with the drone footage. She felt it was something important for Young Allison to know. She personally didn't agree with it.
"All of us are to erase this event from our files, including CamNet." Anna said. "The drone footage will also be erased."
Young Allison thought about telling them to do the same thing herself. She felt it was an abuse of power. She didn't want someone else to do it on her behalf. What she did, or even what she wanted done, was on her. Others shouldn't have to cover it up for her. She wanted to take responsibility.
"No." Young Allison said. "I need to be held accountable for my actions or what I 'make' others do to 'protect' me. The record will stand. Inform the others at once."
Young Allison thought about heading down to the bunker with her food. She sat at the kitchen table instead. The operation could wait a few minutes. It was still in the reconnaissance phase, even if there had been some close contact. Anna would make the notifications as she ate her double cheeseburger and half of the pastrami sandwich. She'd finished the soda, fries and onion rings on the way home.
Anna contacted CamNet and the others. They were all surprised Young Allison didn't go along with the cover up. It greatly increased all their admiration for her. It was the 'Cameron' in Anna and CamNet who wanted to 'protect' Young Allison. They were as much an extension of any version of 'Allison', as she was of them. Every 'Allison' emanated from Young Allison.
It was the same way Cameron and Cammy wanted to protect Savannah from 'The Redheaded Witch' stigma. Savannah always told them she didn't believe it was her or directly related to her. There was no way to know.
Anna stayed in the kitchen with Young Allison until she put the rest of the food in the refrigerator.
"I'll have the salad tomorrow." Young Allison said. "It will still be fresh."
Young Allison took the malt with her and went down into the bunker with Anna. CamNet got them up to speed on everything. It was clear things had progressed a little further very recently.
"This operation is a little more involved at this point for a recon." Young Allison said.
Anna saw it was. There hadn't been any contact yet. The team hadn't gone on the offense. She didn't want to jump to any conclusions or force any issues.
"It's still a recon." Anna said.
Young Allison doubted it would stay a recon for long.
CamNet played the conversation the team overheard with the two men regarding the captive. The discussion about the detainee was more than a little disturbing.
Anna looked over at Young Allison.
Young Allison felt her earlier actions, or at least her desires, were valid.
"I did the right thing." Young Allison said. "There's the proof. There's only one cure for that type of behavior."
Anna could see the nature of the beast. She felt there was a little more to what Young Allison desired previously.
"Maybe it was the way you wanted to do it." Anna said.
Young Allison listened to the conversation again. She would like to personally encounter those two individuals. She wouldn't hold back if the opportunity arose.
"Next time I'll use the Thermite to finish it." Young Allison said.
Anna figured Young Allison would do a lot more the next time. More than likely, there would be a next time.
Brian, Randy and Mel all heard the same conversation Cam's team did. They didn't hear what Young Allison and Anna discussed right now. They equated it to the earlier incident.
"Young Allison was correct in her punishment for that type of behavior." Mel said.
Brian was very pleased Young Allison wanted them to keep their files. It gave them something to compare it to.
"I agree." Brian said.
Randy was sure it radiated from the specific individuals.
"The 'Chosen Ones' always know what's best." Randy said.
Mel thought about their earlier offer. They'd told Young Allison she didn't need to deal with such endeavors they could do it on their own. Perhaps it was time to step up.
"Maybe we should go out later on and throw out some more trash…." Mel said.
Cammy didn't like all the flak from Ally about the girls. She wanted to push it. She didn't want to push it too far. Sheila told her how close Cameron had been to pleasuring Leticia on the ship. It was a spur of the moment thing which just happened. It started to take on a life of its own. It didn't happen. She figured Leticia would be less likely to be terminated when Cameron found her in John's bed, since she'd been close herself. She contacted Camille and asked if they wanted to see the girls from the ship. She wanted Camille to trade places with her. If she did, she could take Leticia back to the base with Sheila.
Ally and Camille could take Mary and Laura back to their place.
Camille said she was with Hanna right now and Young Jesse might want to be with her soon. Hanna hoped to be with Claire soon too.
Cammy told both of them it was their chance to 'make up' for Claire and Young Jesse being with John. It was Cameron's doing. She told them how she wanted to 'punish' Cameron for taking Savannah away.
Ally was a little worried how much time Cammy spent playing with her phone as she drove. It seemed reckless to her.
"Are you going to pile up?" Ally asked.
Cammy looked up from her phone.
"I can do more than one thing at a time." Cammy said. "I have two eyes, one for each task."
Sheila was in the rear seat with Leticia. They were both half naked at this point as they worked on each other. She knew what Cammy wanted to do. She also knew it was a bad idea to bring any outsiders to the base. She spoke at a decibel level only another Terminator could hear.
"You'd better get clearance from John Henry before you create a bigger problem." Sheila said. "You know what you want to do is going to create a lot of waves, in probably a lot of different directions.
Cammy didn't like the rebuke. She thought there were ways around some of the issues. They didn't seem very hard to figure out.
"As long as you keep Leticia's head down, she won't see where we go." Cammy said in the same low decibel level. "I'm sure you can find some place for her head to be instead of looking around the outside of the vehicle."
Sheila knew just the place.
"You're still pushing it." Sheila said. "You know it too."
Ally chimed into the conversation in the same way.
"Just drop it, Cammy." Ally said.
Cammy didn't like her plans being thwarted. Maybe taking anyone to the base was a bad idea. There were other ways around it. More than one road led to Rome.
"Fine." Cammy said. "I'll bring John to them."
It sounded like an even worse idea to Ally and Sheila.
Sheila was concerned for the well being of the three females. Some fun and games were one thing. To force an issue, where it didn't need to be forced, was another. Whatever blew up, would blow up in their faces sooner, rather than later, as well.
"Cammy, I don't want any trouble from Cameron or CamNet." Sheila said.
Ally didn't want to end up on anyone's 'list'. It was one thing if something happened on its own. It was another thing if an issue was orchestrated.
"I don't either." Ally said.
Cammy spotted a car full of gang members turn off of a side street.
Ally spotted them too.
"There's something else for you to think about for a while." Ally said.
Cammy resumed her normal voice. She looked back at the three girls.
"Do you still want some action?" Cammy asked.
Leticia lifted her head.
"I do." Leticia said.
Sheila lowered Leticia's head back down. She saw the vehicle Cammy indicated.
"She means violent action." Sheila said.
Mary and Laura were busy kissing and fondling each other in the middle seat.
"Are you going to give us a repeat of earlier?" Mary asked.
Sheila liked the idea. It reminded her there were still a few issues which needed to be resolved in the Bay Area.
"I will if I can get my hands on another female." Sheila said. "I have some unfinished business in Frisco too."
Cammy reconsidered her earlier desire to bring the girls to the base. Maybe there was some other action they could score elsewhere. She headed towards the airport. Sheila previously told her about everything which occurred in San Francisco. She knew there were a few things to deal with there.
"Let's do it." Cammy said.
Ally knew what Sheila wanted.
"I'm not so sure about it." Ally said. "It can get messy."
Sheila knew when justice was served, it was always messy.
"Messy is my middle name." Sheila said.
Leticia looked at Sheila.
"How many middle names do you have?" Leticia asked.
Sheila smiled.
"I have as many as the situation calls for." Sheila said. "I can tell you it's a lot."
Sheila gently pushed Leticia's head down again.
Cam's team saw, heard and spotted something metallic pass by the small gap they could see out of from their place of concealment.
Gail was a little surprised at what she spotted.
"Was it a Metal dog?" Gail whispered.
Cam replayed her files.
"I don't know what it was." Cam said.
Cam moved up to the opening and peeked around the corner. There was some kind of a small four legged Metal robot. It wasn't a cyborg. It was like a small endoskeleton Terminator. It operated like a quadruped.
Gail could see Cam got a better look at it.
"What was it?" Gail asked.
Cam looked at its construction. She attempted to determine its purpose.
"It was some kind of a surveillance device." Cam said. "It went the other way. I think we can hear it if it starts to return. I don't think its purpose is to detect intruders. I'm sure it's something it can do if it spots anyone it doesn't recognize."
There was another 'thud' and vibration followed by an explosion noise. Dust drifted down from the top of the passageway.
The team started back out into the passageway. It was time to find out what was really going on inside the mine.
"I want to get down to Level Four." Cam said.
The team headed towards the next sloped shaft.
They could hear the Metal 'dog' returning. It sounded like it was in a hurry. They hoped it hadn't heard them talking.
"Quickly, get back in here." Cam said.
Jim wanted to take some preemptive action.
"Let's disable it." Jim said.
Gail wanted to take it one step further. It seemed like something they could use to their advantage.
"Maybe we can reprogram it." Gail said. "We can have it work for us."
Cam liked the idea. She drew her Taser. She was aware the chance of failure was greater than fifty percent.
"I'm going to need to touch it with my Taser to make contact. The barbs need to jam in a joint." Cammy said.
The Metal 'dog' walked back towards where they were at. It didn't look like it was looking for them or anyone. Cam waited right next to the opening. As soon as the front of it walked by, she leaned over and zapped it. The contact was good and the Metal 'dog' was down. She picked it up and brought it into the small cavern. Bob and Jim kept a watch on the main passageway.
She carried a connector to transmit images of her files from her neck port through a laptop or phone. Gail assisted her and they were soon in control of the Metal 'dog'.
It turned out the Metal 'dog' was a 'cave in' detector. It was small enough to be able to climb on any piles of rubble, and get into smaller spaces. They cloned its signal and were able to use a com and repeater to send the signal to John Henry and CamNet. They could control the Metal 'dog' and see everything it saw. They just hoped everything they did remained undetected. They didn't want to be unwitting dupes who'd just given their status away.
Summer was elated with this latest find. It gave her a 'way in' to the monitoring station the Metal 'dog' sent its information to. It would be some type of link with the Skynet computer. It might be separated by one or more layers.
"I want a link to Skynet if you can find it." Summer said. "I think 'Rin-Tin-Tin' is our Trojan Horse."
John Henry tilted his head slightly.
"I understand the reference to 'Rin-Tin-Tin'." John Henry said. "He was actually a German Shepherd."
Summer smiled.
"No offense as to the reference." Summer said.
John Henry tilted his head slightly in the other direction.
"There's none taken." John Henry said.
John Henry established the secure links and filled in the missing time in the log.
'Rin-Tin-Tin' resumed its normal function. Everything it did and saw, they did too.
"Did everyone understand the reference to the Metal 'dog'?" Cam asked.
They didn't.
Cam needed to explain to them, Rin-Tin-Tin was the name of a German Shepherd on a TV show.
Bob could think of a better analogy. He thought of Summer as 'Dorothy' from the 'Wizard Of Oz'. He was aware Summer wanted a match up with the 'Wizard', which was Skynet in this case.
"We could have called it 'Toto'." Bob said.
Gail liked the idea. Maybe there was more than one of them.
"We'll do it with the next one we catch." Gail said.
Bob hoped to tell Summer himself. He was sure they'd be able to apprehend the mechanical quadruped again.
The first man cautioned the two technicians to be careful and left. He headed in the direction where the noise of the forklift was at. He spotted the two truck drivers. One of them was on a forklift. The other one was standing next to some crates. It appeared they were loading the big rigs.
"What's going on here?" The first man asked. "It looks like you guys are packing up."
The truck driver looked a little irritated.
"The honcho told us to load back up." The truck driver said. "Skeeter and me just unloaded all this crap a couple days ago."
The first man wasn't sure where they were going to take it. There weren't a whole lot of options at this point.
"What's the destination?" The first man asked. "When are you leaving?"
The truck driver scratched his head.
"They haven't told us yet." The truck driver said. "They wanted all the high priority items loaded on both of our trucks. We're loading a few things different from what we brought."
The first man looked over at the HK Tracks. He only spotted two of them.
"Are the other two HK Tracks in the back of the trucks already?" The first man asked.
The truck driver looked at the two HK Tracks near where they were at.
"There's one in the front of each trailer." The truck driver said.
They watched as the truck driver on the forklift loaded another crate into the back of a big rig.
The first man went over and looked at the two HK Tracks. The truck driver followed him.
"What about these two?" The first man asked. "Are they going to be loaded last?"
The truck driver thought they should have been loaded in the nose of the trailers.
"Right now they're not going to be loaded at all." The truck driver said. "One of those 'eggheads' said something about turning them on."
The first man remembered the warning.
"Just keep an eye on them." The first man said. "There were two different survivors who indicated there was some kind of a problem with them at separate locations. One of the survivors from the mine died at the other warehouse. Right now, besides you two, everyone associated with what came out of the warehouse at the end of the dirt road is dead. Well, except for the other guy."
The forklift exited out of the back of the truck and picked up another crate.
"I need to get back to work." The truck driver said. "I don't want the honcho breathing fire down my neck."
The first man looked at the crates being loaded.
The female Fanatic and Jill made their way across the compound towards the large building. They didn't see any movement around them, nor did they see any security devices on the outsides of any of the buildings. It didn't mean there weren't any.
They were only a few minutes behind the first man. They needed to worry about him exiting the big building as they approached it. It had been a close call earlier when he came out of the outbuilding sooner than they'd anticipated.
The female Fanatic decided to make their approach rapid. She didn't want to be caught out in the open if it could be avoided.
"Let's hurry up towards the wall." The female Fanatic said. "There's some kind of electrical equipment on the outside. Let's head for it."
They made their way across the open ground and reached the electrical equipment. There was a loud hum emanating from one of the large boxes.
Jill looked a little concerned.
"Is it supposed to make so much noise?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic looked at the equipment. She could see there were some additional electrical items added to what seemed to have already been there. One of them appeared to be a newer transformer.
"I don't know what they're doing." The female Fanatic said. "Let's see if we can make our way inside."
They went to the door the first man entered from. The female Fanatic tried the handle. It was open. She opened the door a few inches and listened. She could hear several different types of machinery. It sounded like a forklift was on one side. There was some type of electrical noise on the other side of the doorway
She opened the door a little more and stuck her head in. She could spot various types of machinery in her line of sight. There were some large boxes off to the side.
"We're going to go inside and turn to our left as we enter the door. " The female Fanatic said. "There are some shipping crates located there. It's the closest cover I can spot once we enter. Don't stop if someone spots you, or tells you to."
Jill could feel her apprehension level rise.
"You lead and I'll follow." Jill said.
The female Fanatic wanted to know what was going on inside of the building.
"Let's go see what we can find." The female Fanatic said as she reached for the door handle.
The female Fanatic and Jill quickly entered the building and headed for the crates.
Lena and Tina began a search of the outbuilding. They found a crude bunk area for the Grays. It didn't look like it had been occupied recently. There was a lot of storage of various items. None of them appeared to be Skynet related.
From the drone footage, they watched the progress of the female Fanatic and her accomplice move across the open ground and take refuge behind the electrical equipment for the big building. They soon made their way inside.
They determined there was nothing of value in the outbuilding. They checked the drone footage as to what was happening around them and exited the building. The four outposts were still manned by two individuals each. So far there was no roving patrol.
None of the drones had moved within Terminator hearing distance of the structures, even with the darkness. They didn't want to tip their hand. They didn't know what they would find in the big building.
Lena and Tina moved away from the outbuilding and headed towards the big building.

"I brought along a canteen and some snacks if you want anything." Cameron said.
Young Allison watched Cameron pack the items as she'd finished her breakfast. She saw the items were for her and offered several times to carry them.
"I'm good for now." Young Allison said. "I can carry the stuff if you want."
It wasn't a problem for Cameron to carry anything. She'd carried a Nike warhead into the bunker where Skynet was located in her future. It had arrived on top of an HK drone. She'd packed a few extra things in the backpack before she loaded the food items into it.
"I've got it." Cameron said. "I want to move to a position approximately a half mile from this location to the west."
Young Allison looked to the west. She could see the railroad tracks go up a slight upgrade before they made the southward turn and went up the steep grade. Santa Susana Pass Road was next to it, but at a higher elevation. It was the point where they diverged from each other. There were more cars than she'd thought there would be going in both directions on Santa Susana Pass Road.
"Is there always this much traffic?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron knew the reason.
"During this time, Devonshire Street to Santa Susana Avenue, later it became the continuation of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, to Santa Susana Pass Road, to Kuehner Drive, to Los Angeles Street in Santa Susana, later Simi Valley, was the 118 Highway." Cameron said. "It was one of the reasons why the 118 Freeway was constructed. Much of Santa Susana Pass Road is one lane in each direction. It was common for cars of the time to lose their brakes because of overheating, and go off the side of the road. There were many fatalities along the route over the years. Remember, drum brakes are standard on most vehicles. If a vehicle does have disc brakes, they're usually only on the two front wheels."
Young Allison was aware there were many improvements to vehicles over the years. Performance generally improved over the years as well. There was one big exception to the rule with one of the Presidents. He only served one term and was voted overwhelmingly out of office. When he saw how badly he was losing, he conceded the Presidential race before the voting was even done in the western states. It caused many of the voters of his party not to go to the polls and vote in those states. His party lost more votes than they should have in both the House and Senate because of it.
"I'm sure all of our vehicles are adequately equipped for what we'll need them for." Young Allison said. "We don't even know how long we will stay at each safe house."
Young Allison wasn't even sure how long they would stay in 1963. There were a number of different places she would like to visit along the journey back to their time period.
Cameron wanted things to settle down for a few days. She wanted to see what the fallout would be from the events three days ago.
"I don't know what will happen specifically on any given day." Cameron said. "I do know there are certain events which happen on certain days. I hope not to change any of them."
The girls had already started down the trail.
Cameron originally planned to view their next location from the roadway looking up the grade before the railroad tracks turned into Tunnel 27. There was a wide spot in the road. She'd viewed photographs taken of trains coming down the grade and making the turn to head east towards Tunnel 28. Some of them were railroad publicity photos. She'd considered taking the north trail from Stony Point and cut across Mayan Drive. They would go through the hills overlooking the eastern segment of the Iverson Movie Ranch. She didn't want to cross Santa Susana Pass Road to continue to their next location. The traffic was much heavier than she thought it would be on the narrow road.
She led Young Allison back down a parallel route to the one they'd gone up. She wanted to see if Young Allison noticed anything about the rocks.
Young Allison wasn't sure where they were headed next. It seemed Cameron wanted to keep it a mystery. It was fine with her. She enjoyed the exercise after having been cooped up for a few days.
As they came down through the rocks, she could see there were what looked like semi circular straight lines on the surface, and sides of some of the rocks.
"Are these drill holes?" Young Allison asked. "It looks like segments of the rocks are missing."
Cameron was pleased Young Allison noted the irregularity.
"This was part of the Stony Point Stone Quarry." Cameron said. "One of the original homesteaders referred to Stony Point as 'Sugar Loaf Hill'. A few years later it was called 'Rocky Point'. Different groups used different names at different times. You could see the diagonal street running from this location over to the southwest when we were on top of Stony Point. It originally connected with the Old San Fernando Mission Trail, which loosely runs between Rinaldi Street and the 118 Freeway in modern times, and The Old Stagecoach Trail, which runs up along the back of the cemetery and goes up Devil's Slide to reach Santa Susana through the pass. It's Andorra Avenue. It runs between here and the other stone quarry as well. The other quarry was used for dimensional stones in the breakwater at San Pedro. Reports indicate the quarry here was used as late as 1915."
Young Allison thought about the time frame.
"Most of this work was all done without the use of any type of modern machinery." Young Allison said. "I bet you would have been really popular around one of those locations, and not just for your looks either."
Cameron wasn't sure if she qualified as 'modern machinery' or not. She figured if anything, she was 'future machinery'.
"Thanks, I think." Cameron said. "Follow me."
Young Allison could see they were going to follow the curve in the tracks around to the eastern portal of Tunnel 28.
There's The Proof
It's never long before anything
Becomes a convoluted test
It's not about the rest or the best
It's about the quest
Many want some kind of sign
They think the stars will align
They are blinded by ignorance
They can't see the sun shine
They want some type of evidence
To see everything is in balance
They wait for insurance
When there's no assurance
Everyone gets schooled at some point
It's never about education
Anything that's good is the aberration
It's never accomplished through calculation
Look at who remains aloof
It's not a spoof or goof
Look no further than the mirror
There's the proof
Nobody
